I hate how fandom has become "if you haven't created anything in this very specific time frame after the release of the show/movie, everyone will have moved on"

And call me old fashioned, but that's just not me. I sometimes take ages to create and publish. And I will love a show or movie for such a long time (years, babes, years) that I just can't relate to the fast consumerism that's going on.

Because, let's be real, it can get really lonely in a fandom if most have simply moved on to the next shiny thing. Is what's created less worth, just because it was created outside the hype? Why is it such a taboo for this new fandom generation to love an old or "late" fic or art?

It's so tiring and I'm too old for the 30-seconds-hype-tiktok-shit. Just tired. So, so tired.

There's been asks and posts from probable bots of people from Palestine.

Now, I know we have to support people in Palestine during the war taking place but should they really be spamming asks and filling up our ask box? That sounds like bot activity to me.

Now, I no longer answer asks from these people/bots because someone told me about the Palestine bots issue.

I feel like I wouldn’t have this hatred for Radahn if he actually felt like a character. And i’m not talking design, boss area or soundtrack stuff i mean actual characterization. The most Fromsoft and by extension Miyazaki seem to wanna give us is shoehorning him into random item descriptions and trying to beat it into our skulls that “he’s kind” and that’s it, Even tho that’s not really true considering he’s a literal warmonger and worshipped a genocidal battle hungry warlord but the game seems to blantly ignore that in favor of trying to arbitrarily shove down our throats that “HE’S KIND, HE’S KIND, HE’S KIND! IGNORE ALL THE QUESTIONABLE ACTIONS HE’S DONE!!! HE’S JUST A KIND HEARTED DUDE!!!”. It would be cool if they used this as a way to comment on propaganda in the lands between, Like we constantly get mention about this honorable demigod, Who was apparently kind, compassionate and the “Strongest” but we find an area he previously conquered and see how much damage and harm he’s done to the people there. They could also play into the type of people Radahn associates himself with considering we have Jerren and Freyja, Two completely different people who have completely different ideas of what he would actually want, Furthermore hammering home a sort of duality to radahn’s actions. Yes and those people would be doing a bad thing, but sadly we do not live in that world we live in one where BOTH Hamas,other groups and the Israeli government (which has gotten close to almost every fascist in the country) have done horrific war crimes including murder of non combatants and rape.

You have no idea how happy I would be if we lived in a world where the some of worst parts of nationalism never took hold of Israel and in Palestine, where the Nakbah never happened, where Hamas never won the Gaza election in 2006 and then the civil war in 2007, where October 7th never happened, where the people of Israel and Palestine created a state together.

But sadly we don't live in that world we live, we live in this one and we need to deal with this one, yes there are people who criticize Israel unfairly and don't criticize Hamas or any other of the those groups (looking at you people who stan the PFLP or DFLP) and there are the same people on the other side who do the say thing.

this is not, cannot, or will ever be a black and white conflict it just can't there have rarely ever been in history, there were two peoples robbed of their homeland and that can never really be solved in this moment.

My Semi rant for a bit of closure

My healths been declining so rapidly this year. I’ve gotten significantly weaker.

This is the first time in my entire life I’ve gotten such frequent fevers and anxiety attacks.

I finally came to terms that I have depression and I shouldn’t be ashamed of it and work on it.

I guess this is what happens when you pretend something doesn’t exist when it’s the reason you’ve been suffering both physically and mentally for months.

I’m trying my best to get things done even with my terrible track record of meeting deadlines lmao. I’m at a point where I’m trying to find meaning again and also regain my love for art and to stop being so insecure about it.

I don’t know when I’ll get better but I’m trying💜🌸

I want Tech to be alive so bad…Idk I felt like his death in s2 didn’t hae much build up, though you could argue there was a lot of focus on him in s2, but I don’t think there was build up to his *death*. Maybe that was on purpose? I know some think that he shouldn’t be alive, that it would cheapen his death, etc — IDC !!!! I want my boy alive!!!

Not only that, but it feels weird that for a show about the bad batch, we barely got any time with all of them together? Crosshair was gone almost immediately, and Tech’s gone almost as soon as he’s back. And yet despite losing a member of the squad entirely, I feel like apart from the goggles, they’ve barely alluded to Tech being gone? Which I feel is weir whether he’s dead for good or coming back. Idk everything about his death writing wise feels weird to me so far.

Idk, im rambling. But the gist of it is I don’t think him being back would cheapen his sacrifice. The show is about the squad, and I want it to at least end with all of them being together again.

Can I rant for a second?

I love that people are getting into physical media, especially vinyl. I think that it’s the best way to listen to music and is just so unique and special. That being said, the amount of people who refuse to buy records second hand is shocking to me. As someone who almost exclusively buys records second hand, I have received no dented or scratched records, which is most people’s excuse. In fact, the only records I’ve gotten that are damaged in some way are new purchases! Sure the sleeve is not in the best condition, but the music sounds the same. Also, it’s way cheaper. I got some used Simon and Garfunkel recently for 5 dollars. A straight from the factory one would cost me 30 at the same record store. The overconsumption of only buying new vinyl is absolutely ridiculous. Of course you can buy new stuff, I do too when I purchase newer music. Buy secondhand, you can get really good shit.

For some reason, the email I’ve always used for this app became invalid, making it impossible for me to sign back into my original account. Despite messaging Tumblr and going through the proper steps to attempt to regain access, it was determined for prevention of potential risk that my request for help was denied.

Rather than waste time being frustrated over now no longer having access to content I created, liked, drafted up, and reblogged for about 2 years and developing connections with those of you who followed me (thanks so much, btw!), I am going to attempt to start anew.

I will reblog as much of my original content as I can for those of you that found me through them.

I will also try to make my blog more coherent and organized now that I have a slightly better understanding of how Tumblr works.

It will definitely take time for me to rebuild this blog again, but I will make sure it is worth it!
