That would definitely be more palatable to Mary's fear of serial monogamy and commitment and would likely soothe Dahlia's nagging feelings that she's been trying to shove down since day one. I'm excited to reveal what happens after she receives the cold shoulder after a night of actual intimacy.

oh a “tumblr accent” is basically the cadence/style of speech that you would only really find on tumblr, which can include heavy sarcasm or strange turn of phrases, the longer you’re on tumblr/the more familiar you are with tumblr culture will give you a “tumblr accent” i’ve been on this site for a hot minute and new tumblrinas often get confused with how i phrase things cuz of my “thick tumblr accent”

I find the fact that the confrontation at the end of UTRH is often summarized as Jason asking Bruce to kill the Joker for him fascinating.

Because that's not what happened.

Jason holds a gun up to Joker's head, gives Bruce another, and tells him that if Bruce doesn't do something (shoot Jason), he will kill Joker.

Jason doesn't give the gun to Bruce so that he would shoot Joker. He isn't expecting Bruce to pull the trigger on the clown. He's asking Bruce to do nothing. To be inactive. Because that will still be a choice, and despite having done nothing, everybody clearly agrees that Bruce would still, at least in part, be responsible for Joker's death.

...And to me, this moment is a kind of- microcosm, of the rest of Jason's point. Because after being captured and carted off to Arkham, the villain will escape again, and will kill more people. The only way to truly prevent that from happening would be to kill them; Bruce refuses to do so, and I respect his right to choose such a thing for himself, but it is still a choice, and if we agree that Bruce's inaction during the confrontation would leave him at least partly responsible for the Joker's death, then we must also agree that his inaction in permanently preventing the Rogues from killing more people means he is also, partly, responsible for all of those deaths.

friday satoru thoughts:

thinking about satoru wanting to propose to you and he has it all planned out! whisking you away to a country that you have been dying to see. he's planned the activities too: museum dates, wine tasting, seeing the landmarks, restaurant bookings and on the proposal night being a dinner on the beach

he has both suitcases packed and ready, the ring safely tucked away and he's running over his speech in his head whenever he's not with you. it's going to be perfect until...

you become sick the day before your flight. usually you can deal with a cold or a coughing fit but this illness leaves you bedridden. satoru wakes to you having a splitting headache and popping paracetomol pills. your body is exhausted and you refuse to get out of bed. of course like the caring future husband he is, he takes care of you and reassures you not to worry about your future trip.

'shhhh don't worry love, I'll reschedule it for another day when you're not fighting for your life in bed and throwing up.'

'are you sure satoru?' you sniffle, 'i feel so bad cancelling so last minute.'

'don't stress about it sweets, it's all sorted.' he strokes your cheek before leaning down to plant a kiss on your forehead. a steaming cup of hot tea was sitting on the bedside table with a pack of tissues.

satoru shrugs it off. truly he couldn't care less, your health was much more important to him than putting a ring on your finger. he wanted you to be well and healthy if he was going to ask you to be his future wife.

looks like the ring will have to stay in the back pocket for now.
