How it works: Writers, artists and video editors of the Marauders fandom will create non-profit drabbles, sketches and edits in return for donations to the Palestine Children’s Relief Fund. Once proof of donation is sent, your prompt will then be assigned to a writer/artist/editor to fulfill at random. The fics will be posted to the Ao3 collection Marauders With Palestine Project, while the sketches and edits will be posted to the creator’s own accounts.

Schedule:

Writer/artist volunteer sign up: March 11th - March 31st

Donation proof and prompt submissions: April 1st - April 22nd

Prompt assignment: April 23rd - April 31st

Writing and drawing: May 1st - May 31st

Answered prompts and posting will happen starting June 1st

General Rules:

Each contributor can donate more than once, but they’ll only be allowed to submit a maximum of three prompts, no matter their donation size.

Proof of donation is required for the prompts to be accepted and added to the list. 5 USD is the required minimum for SFW prompts, and 8 USD for NSFW prompts.

NSFW prompts can only be submitted by 18+ contributors and will be assigned to 18+ volunteers only.

Prompts need to be worded clearly to avoid confusion, and they can’t include more than four Marauders era characters. Contributors can specify if they prefer a fic or a drawing, but the final product will depend on availability and may change. Prompts will be assigned randomly.

The prompts may not contain: religious material, gore, explicit violence, incest, or non-con. Dead dove prompts are not allowed and hateful or politically inclined prompts will be automatically deleted. 

*This project is entirely non-profit and all money contributed by those who submit prompts is sent directly to the Palestine Children’s Relief Fund.

For volunteers: Everyone is welcome! 

For writers: fics must be a minimum of 3k words and you must have an Ao3 account to post them to the Marauders For Palestine Project collection. The works must be completely independent from any other works, and while they can be multichapter fics, they have to be published all in one go.

For artists; your contribution may be a drawing or doodle. Sketches are welcome, but there’s no need for background.

For video editors: your video may be longer than 15 seconds.

Hello everyone! We’ve compiled this handy-dandy FAQ to hopefully answer any basic questions regarding this zine that you all may have.

(As this FAQ has gotten pretty extensive, all of the questions and answers are now listed under the cut!)

FAQ

What’s a fanzine?

A fanzine is a collection of fan works (typically art and/or writing) by fans for fans that focuses on a specific fandom, ship, or character! Most of the time contributors and the team behind a zine are not paid, and the cost of the zine covers production and shipping costs. Any surplus may be donated to charity, or, in the case of a for-profit zine, the contributors and team will be financially compensated.

What’s this zine about?

This zine will be focusing on the daycare attendant (DCA) from Five Nights at Freddy’s in all of their canon variants: Sun, Moon, and Eclipse (including other forms such as the Ruined and arcade cabinet forms and Jack o Moon). We aim to celebrate all canon forms of these characters with a similar number of pieces dedicated to each of their main three forms (Sun, Moon, Eclipse) together or separately.

Will this zine be SFW?

All content produced for this zine will be SFW. NSFW and 18+ pieces will not be included in this zine.

Will ships/pairings be included?

Following feedback from the zine interest check, we’ve decided to focus more strongly on the DCA as characters in general for this zine rather than on romantic pairings. Romantic ships won’t be the primary focus of any pieces for this zine. Platonic interactions and fluff are A-okay.

Will AUs be included?

Following the zine’s interest check results, for this zine, most pieces will be focusing on more canon-adjacent leaning depictions of the DCA where the designs and/or circumstances are not too far removed from those depicted in canon (for example, where the daycare attendant/s are still working or had previously worked at the pizzaplex, with room for AUs like role swaps where Sun has the more prominent effects from the virus, the DCA working in the theatre or as Glamrocks or on the carousel or something else, the characters being in separate bodies or the same body, etc etc), with some wiggle room for more differentiated AU content and designs to be included in a few pieces so long as it is submitted by either the creator of the AU or with the AU creator’s express permission and depending on the pitch(es) provided by the applicant(s).

(A note on the last two questions: There will be a potential for a bonus PDF or two to be produced focusing more closely on AUs (submitted by the creator of the AU or with the creator’s permission) and/or SFW shipping content depending on contributor interest and availability. This will be separate from the main zine. Interest in this or lack thereof will in no way affect your application and no one will be obliged to participate.)

Will other canon characters / self inserts/ y/n characters / OCs be included?

Other canon characters are completely okay to include so long as the piece still strongly focuses on the DCA! Self inserts, y/ns and OCs may be included so long as:

They have a defined physical design (if drawn) and are either the contributor’s own creation or submitted with the express permission of their creator.

The primary focus of the piece is still the DCA.

What are the general requirements for joining this zine as a contributor?

All zine contributors must be aged 16 or over.

Most zine communications will happen over Discord. Zine contributors should have a Discord account and be willing to use Discord for communications when working on the zine.

Zine contributor applications should include at least one piece (preferably more) depicting the DCA (canon-adjacent or in an AU form where they still have a similar general physical appearance and/or play a similar role is preferred) for a good chance of a successful application. Contributors will also be asked to pitch an idea or two on what they potentially want to do for their piece in the zine which may help secure them a spot in the zine and aid in brainstorming for their piece even if they don’t ultimately use the suggestions they gave for their pitch.

Will this zine be for profit or for charity?

Surplus profits from this fanzine will be donated to charity (when a specific charity has been chosen by the mod team, we will announce this and update the FAQ - suggestions are most welcome!).

Who will be contributing to this zine?

At the heart of this zine from behind the scenes is a team of 8 mods working together to bring you tons of fun DCA content who will be announced in due time!

While exact contributor numbers have not yet been finalised, the zine’s contributor lineup will include something resembling the following:

23 page artists who will draw full-page coloured illustrations with backgrounds as standalone pieces for the zine

5 writers who will each write a short piece for the zine (around 1.5-2k words) which will be illustrated by an accompanying spot artist

5 spot artists who will illustrate scenes to accompany pieces written by the writers working on the zine

2-3 merch artists who will design merch to be produced dependent on the zine hitting certain financial targets

Will mods be allowed to contribute to the zine?

Yes, mods will be allowed to contribute to the zine, if they find that they have the time, but this will not affect the number of other contributors that we take on. Mods will be held to the same standards as every other contributor and must complete the check ins regardless of their mod status. Mods will only be allowed to contribute one piece of work, or may instead opt to be a pinch hitter in the case of a contributor dropping out!

Will this zine be physical or digital?

Dependent on sales, we are hoping on making this a physical printed zine with the option to purchase a digital copy. There will be a selection of bundles available with a range of merchandise.

Are contributors allowed to collaborate?

Two or more contributors may work on a single piece for the zine so long as they work well together! Collaborations will be counted as a single submission.

Will contributors receive a free copy of the zine?

Contributors will receive a free digital copy of the zine and, dependent on sales, will receive a free physical copy of the zine as well. We are hoping to offer discounted or free merch for contributors as well, although this will depend on sales.

In the case of collaborations, whilst each of the collaborators collaborating on a piece will be guaranteed a free digital copy of the zine, each collaborator receiving a free physical copy of the zine will ultimately depend on sales.

When can I apply?

Contributor applications will open on the 25th of March and will close on the 22nd of April.

Can I apply for more than one role?

You can apply for as many roles as you like on the zine (though be sure your application caters specifically to the role you are applying for when you complete each of your applications!), however, you will still only be selected as a contributor for one role. A comment field will be made available in each application form so you can state your order of preference here if you like!

How long will I have to complete my piece if I’m selected?

Zine contributors will have around three months to complete their pieces upon being selected. If you have applied to and are selected to be a pinch hitter (taking a spot in case another contributor drops out) this may vary.

Rex

SFW: Likes to be bathed or taken care of in the bath. While it doesn’t happen often, he loves it when you sit on his lap and scrub off the dirt on his skin, slowly massage soap onto his scalp and soothe him. Rex is not used to being taken care of or sitting back and just allowing things to happen without at least a little control, so it’s hard for him personally to come to terms with just how much he likes it, as well as even indulge himself too much when he gets the chance too.

NSFW: He wanted to record you two going at it to watch while he’s away for some time. You’d already sent him photos of yourself, domestic videos of you doing simple tasks, but none very vulgar. Now that he does have that recording, he watches it so damn much. One of his favorite ways to wind down after a hard day. Not that he’ll really admit it…

Tup

SFW: This boy LOVES self-care days. If he has the chance, he’ll beg to do one. Paint each other's nails, wear face masks, braid hair in intricate patterns, moisturize, he lives for it. It's just an excellent way of doing the little things to keep his spirits up, expressing his own self-worth, and showing how much you’re worth it. As well as just having some sweet bonding time with his cyare.

NSFW: Loves receiving a lot. He doesn't really ask for it necessarily, and don't get me wrong, making you buck into his face and gasp from all the pleasure he's giving you is still one of his favorite things to do. He just also really enjoys sitting back and watching the person he loves on their knees, doing their utmost to please him and make him feel good. Also, Maker have you perfected it. The moment he sees you slowly sink down he's already anticipating the filthy noises that will leave his mouth.

Crosshair

SFW: MASSIVE sweet tooth. It's his guilty pleasure for a few reasons. Firstly, well, it's unhealthy of course. They also don't get those kinds of pleasures or indulgences as a soldier. But if he gets a chance? He's gonna munch on some sour candy like a child on Halloween. It's a pretty interesting, delightful sight.

NSFW: Crosshair really, really likes it when you ride him. You rarely do it, mostly because he just can't give up that much control to you, albeit anyone, but on the rare occasions he allows it, Maker he comes so fast. You look so damn sexy on top of him, commanding his movements and taking pleasure for yourself equally without his say being a large contributor. For once, he's not in control, he's in your hands and so vulnerable and desperate... it rubs the strangest parts of his mind.

Tech

SFW: This feels a little obvious, but sleeping late. Tech knows it's bad for him, but he just gets so much work done! His brothers aren't up distracting or pestering him, he can be left to his own devices to stray from the task at hand and deviate to another interest of his own volition, it's great! ...Yeah, you have to drag him to bed all the time.

NSFW: 👏Tie👏him👏up! Tech's hands are the most dexterous part of him and give him so much control over things- including you. And if you tie him up and render him subject to whatever you want to do, he becomes a whimpering mess. He'll suddenly be begging for any salvation, bucking his hips up and attempting to grind against you `cause you're just that damn sexy to him.

Wolffe

SFW: Obsessed with holo dramas. Once you caught him screaming at the holo because apparently, the leading lady had made an unwise decision between the two men she was in a love triangle with, and when you asked him about it he immediately denied it. You didn't catch him watching it after that but saw him discreetly trying to find times when he thought you were asleep or working. So then you pretended that you showed interest in the drama to make him feel less bad about watching it. So now you always catch up on the latest episodes when he returns from a dispatch.

NSFW: Enjoys it when you make sorts of animalistic noises in bed. He hasn't expressed it directly, but you're beginning to catch on. He likes to sprinkle on some extra praise if you yelp or howl like a hurt puppy dog, give him those sickly eyes and whimper. And he always comes a little too hard, even letting a few growls rupturing in his stomach out to bless your ears. So in conclusion Wolffe is a furry

Artist Applications.

Apart from some questions to learn a bit about you, we also require 3 art pieces with at least 1 art piece being Soap-centric. You may choose to be considered for the SFW, NSFW, or mini fix-it Zine, as well as an option to be considered for the cover artist of the SFW Zine. Your final work will be solid line work and greyscale/flat colours at the least.

Collaborations are available with other artists or with our writers!

Merch Artist Applications.

We are looking for artists for keychains, stickers, a recreation of soaps journal, a tote bag, & a mouse pad and/or mini body pillow Keychain.

You do NOT need experience with merch creation to apply for this project.

Writer Applications.

Writers may opt in for the SFW, NSFW, or Mini Fix-It Zine. Your end piece will be 1.5k-3k OR up to three pages of your preferred poetic style, and you have the option to collaborate with another writer or artist should you choose.

Applications will gather some information about you as well as require at least 3k words/30 lines of poetry. At least 1k words/15 lines of poetry MUST be Soap-centric.

Applications Open for Better Heroes: A Justice Society Zine

Better Heroes is a fanmade zine dedicated to the Justice Society of America. We are looking for contributors to help make this zine as spectacular as the team it's representing!

Better Heroes will be a digital zine, with a later physical release. We're hoping the physical release can be bundled with potential merchandise, but that will be dependent on applications and on fundraising.

Any proceeds that exceed our production costs will go directly to aid for Gazans and for Palestine. We are currently weighing different charities, and intend to be as transparent as possible if and when we reach our funding goal. We're hoping we can raise enough with your help!

What Are We Looking For?

Writers: obviously fanfiction, but ALSO, if you have an original essay (personal or academic) or a nonfictional historical piece, we are more than happy to consider it

Artists: we're looking for cover artists, splashpage artists, artists to be paired with writers, and general. splashpage and pairing might end up more hand in hand, but that is tbd!

MERCHANDISE Artists: we are CONSIDERING, based on the interest check, making merchandise to go with the physical zine, including but not limited to stickers, pins, charms, and prints. For the integrity of the zine, please do NOT submit any merchandise ideas for THIS zine. if we move forward with merchandise, we will work with you. this is NOT the same as applying to be a zine artist, but you can apply for both! however, if you apply and are selected for both, please understand artist and merchandise artist as 2 separate jobs.

Pinch Hitters: if a contributor defaults up to 1 month before the turn-in date, a pinch hitters will be tapped. this means a pinch hitter could have anywhere from several months (if the contributor defaults early in the process) to only one month. if you are chosen to contribute AND you want to opt in to pinch hitting, there is a VERY small chance you will be asked to do both - we'd like to include as many creators as possible.

Additional Information: We are heavily considering offering a smaller zine-within-a-zine of NSFW content. this zine is not automatically included with the regular one, and buyers will have to opt in. you are welcome to apply for only sfw contributions, only nsfw contributions, or sfw AND nsfw contributions. if there is a want for additional merch to go with the nsfw zine, or a want for an nsfw-only package, we will consider it based on finances. NSFW proceeds will be bundled into our charitable donations.

She’s a goddess, a princess, a sage, a knight, or even a pirate. He’s a Hero, a soldier, a swordsman, an engineer, or a farm boy. Bound by destiny, they meet each life anew to face the evil of their world, but behind all that, they’re a boy and girl who choose each other, again and again.

Across Time will follow the tale of Zelda and Link finding each other in every incarnation through art and written works. Each event day will explore a new chapter of their story, giving each incarnation the opportunity to show why we as fans fall in love with them over and over again, too. And for everyone who loves a happy ever after — all entries will be arranged into a free digital zine which will be published shortly after the event ends.

This project is a SFW, not for-profit collaborative zine and event which will focus on Zelink’s canon in-game relationships. Our event will be hosted on our socials from June 10th-28th, so follow us and check out our Carrd (in bio) to make sure you don’t miss anything!

This will be a physical, non-profit/for-charity booklet. Proceeds from sales are to be donated to Doctors Without Borders.

All zine content will be restricted to SFW only (pin-ups, and depictions of fighting/violence/robo-gore that are in line with most continuities will be allowed). However, prospective contributors will need to be 18 years of age or older in order to participate.

Books will be 7"x10" when printed.
