obsessed with how post-confession pre-ritual astarion says he doesn't know what your relationship is exactly, but he still uses lots of pet names and is generally lovey/flirty with you. in comparison, when you ask post-ritual spawn astarion to talk about the two of you, he says stuff like "Well, now's as good a time as any." which frankly isn't all that romantic and could seem like a step backwards

HOWEVER. this is the real astarion. he's being himself in all his bitchy fickle glory. you proved that you care and see him for who he is, and in return he's finally stopped putting on the flirtatious charade. he's still learning how to be honest with a partner (clearing his throat!!) but he's doing so well and i'm just. aaugh. so proud
