An: Hey guys hope you’ve all been well sorry I’ve been away for a while but I’m going to try and post a lot more and for everyone who sent a request I am so sorry I did save them all tho and I will try and get to them. Warnings: blood, illness, angst, main character death, little bit of swearing like one word, not proof read. summary: Murphy finally finds someone who understands him

Murphy was back at camp but he had unknowingly brought with him an illness that was quite contagious and you had been one of the unlucky few who had caught it.

You were in the drop ship laying on the very uncomfortable metal floor as you started to cough, most people who had caught it at the same time as you were better but your symptoms just seemed to get worse and worse.

“Hey, hey you need to lie on your side” Murphy said trying to roll you over. “No im fine” you say as you continue coughing.

“Come on y/n before you choke” He says frustrated as he rolls you onto your side this time you didn’t fight him on it. “There you go” he says dabbing a wet rag to your pale and clammy forehead he could tell you were struggling. “Thank you.” You say to him sleepily.

“You should get some rest” he says as he continues to dab the clothe on your head. “I’ll be better soon right” you say through half open eyes. He knew how bad your condition was he saw the concerned looks from Clarke when everyone else was getting better and you still were the same as you were when you first came in here if not worse and he couldn’t help but feel immensely guilty that this was happening to you, you had never done anything remotely mean to him or anyone else and this is how you ended up because of him.

“Yeah… yeah you’ll be better soon” he said he didn’t want to lie to you but he also wanted to give you hope so you would keep fighting. “Don’t bullshit me” I say looking him directly in the eyes.

He swallowed hard concern and guilt filling his deep brown eyes, sure you guys hadn’t talked much but you didn’t deserve this. “You have to get better.”

“Everything hurts” you say, it felt like you were getting stabbed all over like you had a thousand paper cuts and bruises. “I know.. I’ll go ask Clarke if she has something fo-“

You cut him off “please don’t leave me.. I’m scared” His heart breaks at your plea. “Ok ok I’m not going anywhere alright” he says as he gently picks up your hand.

“I don’t want to die alone” you say softly, you knew it was coming you weren’t stupid you could see the looks that Clarke and everyone else gave you, you heard there conversations about you when they thought you were asleep wondering if they should just end your suffering now.

“You’re not going to die” he say firmly his grip on your hand tightening a little bit. “I’m here, I won’t leave you alright, you’re not alone”.

You nod your head slowly, tiredly. “Why are you being so nice to me?” You’re not were confused, the two of you had barely talked and here he was offering you comfort as you were on your deathbed.

The question caught him off guard and he wasn’t too sure why he was either. But you had always been kind to him before this before everything even on the Ark so maybe that was why. “I- I don’t know.. I just don’t want you to go through this alone”

You smile softly, “I’m glad your back Murphy” you say. He was confused “after everything I did you’re happy I’m back?” He asked slowly. “You never should have gone through any of that… You were innocent” you replied.

Was this a joke? No ones ever stood up for him before. “No I wasn’t” he protested. “Murphy, they tried to kill you over a crime you didnt commit and then when the real killer stepped forward they were willing to let it slide” you say softly struggling to breathe a bit.

Murphy was surprised at your words, the fact that someone actually thought that. “Well you’re the only one who thinks like that” he says his voice soft almost gentle.

“Well I shouldn’t be” you say coughing a bit more. “You’re not were shouldn’t be punished for reacting the way anyone would have reacted in that situation”

He looks at you grateful that someone finally understood him. “You really think that” he asked as if he thought it was just some joke.

“Ofcourse I do, when they came back and said you had been banished I tried reasoning with them and trying to get them to send a group of people out to bring you back. But it was like arguing with a brick wall” you say softly looking up at him from your spot on the floor.

“You… You really did that for me?” He asked he felt this weird feeling in his chest at the thought of someone actually caring and defending him.

“Of course I did” you responded. “But why.. why would you do that for me?” He asked still confused. “Because you were wrongly accused and almost killed and when you tried to do what they did to you to the actual murder they punished you… we are all each other have down here we need to stick together“ you replied slowly.

“Yeah I guess so… but I’m not really good at teamwork” he says, he had never really noticed that they were all each other had. Everyone else wanted them dead no one really liked them. 

“That’s ok, not everyone is perfect at everything. But with a bit of time I’m sure you can learn.” You say with a smile.

“I’m not sure many people are willing to wait until I learn” he says with a slight chuckle.

“I am” you say without a second thought. “You are” he says surprised. “Yeah… I’m even willing to teach you if you’ll let me” you say smiling softly.

“Yeah.. that sounds great” he says. “Hey Murphy can you promise me something?” You’re not smiling anymore as you speak.

“Yeah what is it?” He says seriously noting that your smile was gone. “When I die can you plant daisies for me somewhere nice with a good view. Daisies were always my favourite” you say softly as you start to cough a bit more.

“Yeah.. Yeah I can do that for you, I promise” tears started to fill his eyes but he couldn’t let you see him upset right now you needed him to be strong. “Thank you, you know I always knew I wasn’t cut out to be living in the forest”

“No, no don’t say that ok you’re strong yeah I mean look how far you’ve made it… you-you just need to hold on for a little longer, yeah?” He knew he couldn’t lose you, you were the first person who actually understood him, he knew that he would struggle to find someone like you again.

You nod but then you go into a coughing fit blood starts coming out of your mouth. “Y/n! Hey hey it’s ok your ok” he says rubbing your back, but you don’t stop “Clarke! Clarke! Hey your alright come on keep your eyes open” hey says his eyes start filling with more tears.

Clarke comes in just as your coughing stops and your body goes limp. Murphy touches your cheek with your hand his eyes blurred with tears. “Nononononono! No y/n.. y/n come on look at me”

You were the first person to defend him to actually understand his side of things. And now you’re gone. It wasn’t fair. Why did he always lose everyone who cared about him what kind of curse had been placed on him for this to happen to him.

~Quite a few months later~

You had been haunting him. He couldn’t lose see you as he moved around it was like you were still here but he knew you weren’t.

The ark had come down now and Finn had killed a grounder village as he had watched on not able to stop him. 

He needed some space so he went out into the forest with you following behind him. At one point the ghost of you turned and walked away so he decided to follow. Eventually he came across a tree and at the base of it grew daisies. Your favorite flower.

He broke down reminded of the promise he made you. He looked up trying to find you. But the ghost that hadn’t left him alone for months was gone…

You were gone.

About Dr Zayne and Dawnbreaker's ethics.

Something that kinda irks me a little when ppl talk about Dr Zayne and Dawnbreaker, it's when they make it look like they're totally different people.

"Dr Zayne would never kill someone where Dawnbreaker wouldn't hesitate..."

It's not as simple as that, honestly. Dawnbreaker is just a severe depressed Dr Zayne. His morals aren't some kind of "twisted" ethic bc he kills ppl for the greater good and not out of pleasure.

He has the exact same views than Dr Zayne, actually: "It's better to die with clarity than living as a walking corpse"

Remember that Zayne doesn't stop Tobias from choosing to die instead of looking for a cure for his Protocore syndrome, even tho Zayne is the most desperate person on earth to save people (His medic of the artic anecdote makes it crystal clear). Despite his own beliefs, he will always respect the patient's autonomy over their own body and life.

Actually, Zayne defines his ethics as Doctor as "Respecting life and patient's choices".

Georgie's mom looked for Dawnbreaker to kill her bc she knew she was going to turn into a monster and he could help her. DB Zayne is not a Doctor but still does his best to try to fix the world he lives in the same way Dr Zayne does or tries to lessen the damage at the very least. It is even said in his anecdotes that the police and media try to hide the fact that being exposed to Protocore energy/ Metaflux for long periods of time is what is making ppl to turn into wanderers. Considering that Protocore technology is highly profitable in LADS world, nobody would give up on it the same way we haven't given upon oil.

Dawnbreaker it's literally Zayne living the consecuences of the status quo and capitalism. Something that Dr Zayne does too at rejecting immortality and accepting death as the natural result of living.

I've previously talked about this, but in Master of Fate myth it is mentioned that Zayne's role is of a siming, and according to chinese mythology, it's a deity with more of a bureocratic job than anything else (Just look at the way he dedicated his time to those bamboo books). He decides who gets to have a long life and who gets to have a short span of life in order to keep the balance of destiny and probably the reason he had to get rid off of MC since she was a "variable".

And as Foreseer, he loses the jurisdiction of allocating human life span and fate but still watches over them.

The concept of Zayne's character as a whole is this balance of life and death. I wouldn't be surprised if later on they reference yin and yang through him, in traditional chinese medicine, it is said that sickness comes from the unbalance of ying and yang.

In this case, it's true that Dr Zayne and Dawnbreaker look like opposites -the Guardian Angel and the Grim Reaper. But in reality, they're two sides of the same coin and complement each other. Dr Zayne has the possibility to save lifes bc he's a doctor. Dawnbreaker has the possibility to help people to die bc he's an assasin. There's both light and darkness in both of them.

Dr Zayne wouldn't kill ppl just bc he wanted too. The same goes for Dawnbreaker. And just as William asked Zayne to kill him, DB too, killed Georgie's mom and probably his step father out of mercy. And so the same goes for the rest of people. And just as Dr Zayne saves ppl with his hands, Dawnbreaker does too at avoiding any casualties caused by wanderers (which is his main purpose after all)

Dr Zayne is good, he has no bounty like the other guys and he hasn't committed crimes but that doesn't make him any less attractive at all and most important, it doesn't make him naïve. I would say it's totally the opposite, since it seriously takes strength to remain kind in an unfair world.

[Nedless to say that the other guys are lot older than him bc he was cursed to reincarnate and find MC just to watch her die and sacrifice himself to save her].

I think this rant of mine comes from the fact that lately I've read several ppl saying that Dawnbreaker is far more interesting to them that Dr Zayne. I suppose this opinion comes from all the possibilities of what is like to be with Dawnbreaker who is a gloomy Zayne and someone who also lives in totally different circumstances. And I mean, at the end of the day, it's a valid opinion.

But my point here is: they're actually not that different from one another if you look closely. (Dr Zayne also shares his fair amount of depression before MC).

Foreseer, Master of Fate, Dr Zayne and Dawnbreaker are all Zayne after all and I think it's important to highlight that most of them live their life as a means to an end for the greater good. Astra once said that Zayne was his tool and in all his lifes, Zayne has always worked his ass off for other people.

No wonder why as a doctor he respects ppl's autonomy over their lifes. It's MC the one who makes him being a bit more selfish.

ANALYSIS

THE TRAILER

Theorist Ink has entered the chat, and it's time to take this frame by frame. Now, to get it out of the way, the teasers and trailers do not correlate to the canon (and potential) plot directly. I'm aware that it's not, but I do analyze them regardless only bc they still provide information. Not point to point but something and, as I always said, something is better than nothing. Are we good? Good, then let's get to it:

The composition of this trailer is absolutely brilliant, props to the Team honestly. Take, for example, the juxtaposition between these two scenes:

Look at the first one. It's warm and cozy with such warm colors, the placement of the chairs and dinnerware arranged to feel tender. The table was neatly set, and plenty of home-cooked food for Karen and her kids. Speaking of the family, look how they are placed. Karen may be the head of the household but her kids are just as important at the table, even her chair is within her kids.

Then there's the second one. It's cold and eerie with a single light shining down on the table. Solitary. Notice how all that is on the table is pizza. No water, no napkins, no appetizers. Not even a pizza box! Just a single slice on their plate. Which is crazy bc if you recall in the last episode, Mr. WPNZ complained to Karen that he was "slaving away making dinner", and this so-called dinner was pizza. Hell, I won't be surprised if he just ordered that pizza to be delivered. Notice again the arrangement of the characters. The chairs for the kids being pushed to opposite sides (see how Cory has to share the space with Zach now), while WPNZ specifically has his space as the head of the table. He is the one who wants to take charge, being above his kids. He is the one in control of the family, removing Karen as head of household. That is what he believes.

While one showed a true loving family, the other was essentially an illusion of what WPNZ wants to gain from all of this, through manipulation. He thinks he can come in, bribe the kids to enjoy his company, and enter the family like it was nothing. Remember, to the kids, he is a mere stranger they met days ago, and to Karen, he was the last person she wanted to be near her kids. But, oh boy, he thinks he "deserves" it and wants to be "part of the family".

It's up to you how much you want to believe in his word. From my personal perspective, his past feelings mutated into an obsession for Karen, and he stalked her family just so he could be a part of it, never taking any accountability for what he's done. And he's aware, don't get it twisted. He planned this fully knowing how this was going to affect Karen, just enough that motherly desperation would cloud her judgment and accept any deal to save her kids. (That's what I think, don't hold me for this).

Now, you may be probably wondering why I was like "....pizza" in my reaction. To the regulars here, you probably remember when I answered an ask about how I would think Karen's confrontation:

Y'know it was a hypothetical silly writing prompt, way before the shadow teaser mind you. And first off, I stand by it being seen as a hostage situation in Karen's eyes. We don't know how the kids truly are or how much they know, but I'm sure Karen would prioritize getting them out of there.

Second, I suspect that Mr. WPNZ was exaggerating about him making dinner so I wrote:

WPNZ offered her a seat, dinner already set on the table. So, she took the seat closest to him on his left, using herself as a barrier between her and the kids. She looked at the plate, spaghetti. So, this was apparently the so-called dinner he was "slaving himself away". Pfft, pathetic, pasta was the easiest dish to make. She almost wanted to laugh. [literally a couple of paragraphs later] And, lo and behold, Mario invites himself in with such a jolly mood. While everyone was so confused by his presence, his attention immediately turned towards the spaghetti, obviously. He immediately vacuumed all the spaghetti with a satisfied gulp. The kids giggled at it, after all it was their Uncle Mario. Well, that just happened, and it may be the opening Karen needed. She grabbed Mario by the hand and excused themselves with a promise of reheated leftover pizza. (Like I said, this was before the shadow teaser so I had Mario go help Karen. 3 would've stayed behind in this old version btw.)

I was like ".......did the Team find this somehow?" lmao. But nah fr, it got me by the pizza alone.

Speaking of Karen, let's talk about her potential role in the movie. Ofc, as the main star and mom, she's going to push herself past her limits just for her kids. We've seen how she maneuvered in the trees, how she literally got hit by a car. But nothing's going to stop her, that motherly adrenaline kicking in. Probably, the only thing that could get her off guard would be Mr. WPNZ, seeing how his presence alone made her freeze.

Even her kids are looking at her confused as to why she looks like she's seen a ghost. And maybe it's bc it might be. You can't exactly blame her. Look at the photo with Karen and WPNZ from the corkboard:

It seems like it was taken after she was recruited by Hitman Inc, based on the leather jacket she wore when she got recruited, lack of dirt and emotional weariness from living in the streets, and from WPNZ's "greeting" from the last episode.

She was trained to be an assassin in exchange for security. She got to work and got close to WPNZ. Perhaps there was a time when there were genuine feelings, that they had a mutual connection being under the corporation's watch. But clearly, things completely went downhill for Karen to leave the corporation and WPNZ entirely. Enough to know who WPNZ really is. And now, he's back out of nowhere and "persuading" her to let him join. Big red flag there. Karen is certainly a capable mom, but after a whole day worrying about her kids and having to face her psycho ex, I don't think she should go through this alone. Not when he has everything in his favor.

Oh boy, Mr. WPNZ... where do I even begin with this guy?

I guess we can talk about his design. First off, ngl he's literally a military tank. I mean, are you gonna tell me that I'm wrong? But no really, like I said, props to the Team for making a unique. To me, at least, he gives me fish vibes based on his smooth face and jacket zipper design. (watch me be so wrong tho) You can just look at the minecraft skin version and say "yeah i can see it".

And yet, it's so ridiculous and I love it.

So, when can we curbstomp him? Seriously like, I went back to the flashing images frame by frame. They're just the frames used within the same trailer; nothing really stands out. But I did want to talk about these 2:

We already know WPNZ has been spying on Karen and her kids. You know that, I know that. But the fact that he took pictures of them with the rest of the Crew. He knows about the Crew. Granted, I'm sure he's only after the family but he knows that Karen has a relationship with the Crew and he may use this info to his advantage. Perhaps as a threat for her to comply with whatever deal he has in mind.

Now, for the obvious question, how is this going to end? Assuming from what the Team wrote before, Karen is sure to turn the tables around against WPNZ. But is there anything we could expect from the movie?

SILENCE OF THE LAMBS CATS

The choices the Team makes are intentional, if you haven't learned that from me already. For example, the typewriter font used for the end cards implies that the corporation may be subtly involved (backstory-wise) bc the Team could've chosen any font for the end there.

What is peculiar is the movie title itself, and it may be our biggest clue. The Team has been VERY particular in titling their movies, I'm still not over how brilliant the "Western Spaghetti" title was. It was clearly taken from "Silence of the Lambs", and there has to be a reason why they chose it.

For those who aren't familiar, the story's about a serial killer and psychiatrist, Dr. Hannibal Lecter. We follow FBI cadet Clarice Starling working on catching a serial killer who's been abducting women, but in order to crack it, she would need to think like a killer. So she seeks out Lecter for advice. The story touches on going against the norm:

Starling working in a male-dominated occupation. Not in a "I need to prove myself as an equal to my coworkers", but rather adapting to the work environment and using it to her advantage. She already is capable and incredibly intelligent; there's no need to prove anything to anyone. Then, it was revealed she had a traumatic past, when life was simpler.

Lecter isn't the typical psychotic serial killer. He is cunning and well-educated, so much so that he surpasses the evaluations in the psych prison. He can be seen as charming and respectful, which might confuse characters and the viewer about how sincere he really is.

By the end, Starling was able to do better than her co-workers did and find the true killer, shooting him dead. Meanwhile, Lecter used his skills to break out of custody by faking his identity, and merging himself into society like a shadow so he could go take revenge on the people who wronged him.

(Ofc I don't want to go too deep into this for spoilers and content warnings but this is the overall gist for the horror piece. If I got anything wrong, please do correct me.)

This psychological horror piece really fits with the arc we were given, with both established and possible points.

Karen, a former assassin (in a typically male-dominating job), is capable of handling situations herself through brains and broad. However, she's running away from a terrible past and having to confront it so she can live in peace.

WPNZ used his cunning and charm to sway the kids on his side and planned everything from the get-go for Karen to "fall for the trap". Though he's not on the same level as Lecter by his "reckless and chaotic" nature, he's always several steps ahead.

Karen may have to keep up with someone to aid her in taking down WPNZ. Yes, she's capable but WPNZ has all the advantages at the moment, especially with the kids being in the situation. So, what else can she do but think like a villain? *cough cough*

By the end of the movie, it's possible that WPNZ may not go to prison. He could escape from custody or someone he knows picks him up after retreating. With the corporation being an underlying factor for the arc, they might pick him up and be like "what are you doing during your work hours? stealing our resources?"

FINAL THOUGHTS

For now, those are my thoughts. A bit disappointed that we never got to see the shadow reveal but I'm still excited for the movie AAAAAAA

Plus this version of Hades is a Satan analog who makes binding deals with others for his own benefit, and doesn't that sound like a certain devil we all know?

Not to mention both of them are trying to escape the realms they've been assigned & make themselves god king of everything

I will admit, Phil is a lot nicer than Morga, but jaded older mentor figure trying to make up for failed prodigies fits

Plus, Morga was Muriel's mentor in his route

I feel like both also fit into the role of proud parent figure by the end of their respective stories

And both are disapproving of their pupil's romances lol

Inanna - Pegasus

Admittedly Inanna is a bit more no-nonsense than Pegasus is, but she can still be goofy and fun when she wants to

Incredibly supportive of their human companions, important assets in battle, their appearance started the main character on a path for a better and more fulfilling life

Not much else to say here it just works

Vlastomil and Volta - Pain & Panic

Honestly idk if I can fit Vulgora and Valdemar into the Hercules narrative, but at least I could get these two in here

Vlastomil is Pain and Volta is Panic; I realize both could probably fit into Panic's role as they are the more timid and mild mannered courtiers, but I've chosen things this way because Volta is a little bit more flighty and afraid to commit crimes like Panic, where as Vlastomil is a bit more bold (when he's allowed to be) and better fits Pain

because like. they had everything laid out for them. there was SO MUCH they could’ve done to explain why the remnants fell into despair. i would imagine the class was already going through it with the death of fuyuhiko’s sister. it would’ve been easy for junko to start pulling the strings from there, to make them slowly fall into despair, only to use chiaki’s death/execution as the final tipping point.

to provide more info, i based her character off of lucille mulhall. to put it simply, she's the first cowgirl originated from missouri. in this case, i made margaret's mother to be lucille. margaret made it her life goal to look for her mother, it is an irl canon event that lucille lives in st. louis so i made that margaret's destination.

margaret lives off as a ship hopper (is that a word) ever since she was of legal age. she's a mercenary who takes on jobs under a certain handler, it is an informal employment. i would cook some bullshit and say this employment is aided by someone who raised her. her father is... well... i haven't cooked up something for that yet 😩

she is scared of dogs LMAO that's why i made an art for it. i just find ppl scared of dogs really cute. most dogs are scared of new ppl too so they're just scared of each other it's the CUTEST thing 🥺.

in terms of personality, margaret is somewhat similar to robin hood. does crime for good? helps people but also breaks the law? a kindhearted criminal? she steals, knows her way around danger, very daring, may or may not have k1lled someone 🫣, slept around some places for certain conditions, and have SEEN some shit. her ideals are way too similar to a pirate tho, fuck the govt and celestial dragons kinda shit. she doesn't have a stigma against pirates, she have worked (mostly betrayed) with them side by side. she just hasn't really sat herself down to assess if she'll join one. she doesn't see the need for it (until she met kidd 🤧), she has a one track mind that is only set on reaching st. louis.

5 Anti LO Asks

(Note: All of these asks are before episode 206 (Season 2 finale) so some may be dated.) 1. to me if the narrative was just honest hades is a shitty person then id probably love how awful he is, but no instead it's rachel insisting he's actually this perfect romantic lead and everything he does is good and just when thats not true?? like I don't think she means it to be this way, but it (hopefully accidentally) comes across as her excusing/romanticizing a predatory, abusive man who borderline gr//ms persephone into being his "perfect' bride and we're just not supposed to notice.

2. I would think, bc Persephone wanted to use the trial to distract from her crimes to instead be like "look! i'll be the white savior and free the good slaves!" I have thought Hades, in the 10+ years she'd been away would have, maybe, implemented that system? To make the place more equal and see her plan come to fruition? But I guess he would rather make the slaves work even MORE and make everyone else miserable than even do ONE decent thing for once. He's literally so awful it's insane.

3. I don’t know if I’ll be able to articulate this, but Zeus and Minthe are more “enjoyable” antagonists than Persphone and Hades as protagonist.

With Minthe and Zeus, I feel like their characters are more well rounded? Minthe hates Persephone, but stands up to Thetis when she needed to and broke it off with Thanatos when Hades agreed to be more serious committed relationship. But also her goals and motives are clear, and recognizes her flaws even if it doesn’t always push her to be better (but honestly the way hades forced her out, I too would lose my shit) Zeus is a cheating, scum bag husband, paranoid king. But he does love (most) his family, like his new relationship with Artemis I adore because of what Artemis has been through and I love how she’s not even fully comfortable with him either. Zeus isn’t even half wrong to be paranoid about Persephone, he now know he has an air plotting against him (with reason for his mother getting banished) and Zeus knew that Persephone and Apollo are somewhat associated with each other.

Zeus and Minthe have done some terrible things BUT they’ve stayed true to their character and have even had better development. And it too less time too compared to Persephone and Hades.

Persephone-I don’t know where to begin with her character. At first we believe she didn’t have real friends because all the nymphs were lowkey spies of Demeter and Artemis was her real female friend (was she being classist because she’s a goddess?) (she also seems to heavily favor Hermes) but season two she did have 2 friends that were murdered and at the end of season two these two friends didn’t have names. Nor did we learn anything about them personally other than Persephone made them (what were they like? How could we tell them apart from Persephone and each other, they’re both highlighter pink). Persephone is first semester into school and is studying biology I think. After hanging out with Hades for like 3 weeks or something she wants a law major and become a citizen of the underworld (EVEN THO SHE JUST MOVED IN WITH ARTEMIS) she has HUNDREDS OF YEARS TO LIVE JUST FINISH THE FIRST DEGREE YOUVE BEEN IN CLASS FOR 2 weeks. And then Persephone doesn’t fully realize her actions on situations even when characters point them out to her. Her class mates “are you sleeping to the top” Minthe “my ex will spoil you like he did me” Zeus “you can’t get what you want just like my brother use to do with you.” Hades literally shielded Persephone from the law for a long ass time, they shared a bed, Persephone is the first paid intern, she has new clothes, tried take out, bunch of pens, lingerie (gross coming from an old man), all thanks to Hades! And are those characters wrong? NO! Sure the context of each comment wasn’t good, but they’re not wrong.

AND THEN HADES? WHAT IS HE SUPPOSE TO BE, tragic oldest lonely sibling past, beginning of the story misunderstood/bad man/lonely, to mess, to groomer predator, to obsessive “I will burn the world down if I can’t get my barely legal wife sorry I mean gf” What I can’t get behind his character is we’re never shown him enjoying Minthe as a partner, yet he picked her, and apparently has begged her to stay, but we never see him actually enjoying her company which makes it so hard for me to take his part of the relationship seriously. I’m sorry RS if you want to sell me their relationship I gotta see them actually happy where he’s not fantasying about a pink highlighter.  And then his relationship with his family, I don’t like him as a Hera/cheater even tho Leuce is also in Greek mythology (if there was a first love route) how does he feel fine being around Zeus?How do Hera and him not look at each other in disgust and further more Persephone is Hera’s niece who is still hella young by their standards . Hades is also dick as a boss and king. He’s literally giving special treatment to the hot young (unqualified) intern. And treated his (assume older than Persephone) foster son like shit. BUT WERE SUPPOSE TO ROOT FOR THIS CHARACTER???

4. Regardless of what her intentions are (and for the life of me I don't get how Rachel thinks making Hades OWNING SLAVES is a good idea) slavery to even non-Americans is tied to the subjugation and abuse of BIPOC people, especially Africans. I'm not saying she is racist, but can you really blame anyone for thinking so when she writes and glorifies stuff like this? Donating once to a BLM charity when it was popular to do so two years ago doesn't change the fact she's doing this in 20-goddamn-22.

5. I think one of the issues with Lore Olympus is that it started (well as an original anyway) 4 years ago and like. Not much has happened at all??? Like no wonder people get tired and stop reading this comic

Vivian - the perfect commander to introduce FG actually. she was cool, she was charming, everyone loved her. she made good decisions and dealt with shit well I think. good commander all round. what more do you need. ALTHOUGH my issues with zombie island do impact her ranking because she was a believer in it and I have so many issues with zombie island so overall 8/10 because she was epic and a good leader but her long-term plan was extremely shaky

Chase - I liked Chase. he had to deal with a lot more than he bargained for honestly and that's Carey's fault. also I've said this before but Major didn't help. Major complicated a lot for Chase and he's also the one that gave him the advice that made him go ahead with the OG Renegade execution that made him a villain. honestly I don't have any big issues with Chase. I think he tried his best. I think the circumstances got to him a bit but I don't think he did significantly worse than anyone else would've. I'm giving him a 7/10 because he did the best he could and I can't hold that against him

Major - listen. as a character, I like Major. when he's interacting with Liv and Ravi I'm like 'this guy :D' the moment he's at FG tho. brother. this guy not cut out to be a commander. you cannot lead a military government just because you're the most popular with the bros. Hobbs did a misjudge on that. Major doesn't DO anything. there are actual hatecrimes happening and he's like "we cant do anything about it or it'll look bad :/" like DUDE. like CMON. some of his men were killed in action because of his lax policies and he's like "I can give you their backstories. no justice only backstory." sir I know you're in over your head but a little effort. also I think FG just brought out the worst in Major even before he was commander. not even talking about the child soldiers, just his general character. like go home and play video games with Ravi man you're scaring me :( but yeah that's why we're here at 2/10 because he was too worried about being as uncontroversial as possible to actually do he job

Which one gets the most excited about Halloween: Janet absolutely loves to go all out for Halloween and make super elaborate couples costumes that really make everyone else look like the bargain bin beside, Hank's just happy to be there. To be honest I don't know if Hank had a strong Halloween experience as a child beyond The Corn.

Which one would be more likely to survive the apocalypse: Hmm.... if writers didn't have a hate boner for Hank constantly and liked to kill him probably Hank, but as Hank is fun to kill in apocalypse AUs Janet. I think generally Janet wants to help more than Hank does and I could easily see her dying in like a Zombie Apocalypse really easy trying to help civilians, while Hank would think more about the bigger picture and shrink him and his lab down somewhere hidden where he can try and work on a cute or a way out or something.

Which one would literally kill for the other: Both of them to be honest but Hank's more likely to succeed (war flashbacks of Ults Hank eating Blob's head that one time)

Which one likes to scare or startle the other: Janet, I think she absolutely gets a kick about very suddenly growing in front of Hank to scare the shit out of him and it always works.

Which one is more likely to need comforting when they get spooked: Janet definitely I think, both exaggerating and genuinely needing comfort when she's scared. She's a very... physical person like that and feels better touching her loved ones, while I don't think Hank needs a whole lot when scared but needs more support in times of grief or loss.

Which one always puts on a brave face: Both of them, comes with the job, Hank does it more but Janet is better at it generally.

Which one would be more dangerous if they suddenly became violent: Both of them tbh but I'll go with Janet, Hank is ultimately A Normal Human Man while Janet is underrated in her strength with her bio blasts n stuff.

Which one would be more likely to commit a crime: Hank is more likely to commit mild crime like stealing or property damage or smoking weed in places where it's not legalised but Janet would like Get In Serious Trouble for embezzling or some shit.

Which one believes in ghosts: Hank but he doesn't admit it ever but he knows not to Fuck Around And Find Out in certain scenarios.

Which one likes to watch spooky show on television: hmmm I'm not sure, again Hank by himself but Janet will if they're both watching together.

Which one would propose the idea of holding a seance: Janet, she thinks it's fun while Hank again is like Do Not Fuck Around And Find Out but Janet is all about Finding Out.

Which one has nightmares more often: Both of them to be honest but Janet is slightly better at working through her issues or at least more willing to try and work out the problem while Hank.... Hank I dont think even admits he's traumatised from watching Maria die, let alone any of the other shit so he absolutely gets pretty bad nightmares

Which one would want to explore a real haunted house: Janet, but she would start to try and scare the other guests halfway through bc she would probably think the whole thing was tacky.

A bit more of a fun ask from my last one,

So, post (very post) possession story, Sparklez and Tom get back from their isles side story and it takes almost a month for Jordan to find out that Capsize is alive and kicking. Someone lets it slip (not that they’ve been keeping that from him, it’s just never come up in convo and Capsize is lowkey avoiding him)

“Oh if you wanna know more about that you should ask Capsize.”

“….ask Capsize?”

“Yea you could probably find her with Spark or Alyssa or—“

“She’s Alive???”

“…”

And Jordan goes to Spark and finds Capsize there, fishing or playing cards like just being friendly, and the interaction between him and Capsize gets intense really quickly. Jordan ends up calling “Trial!” because Capsize implied that the S.S Jerry sinking had something to do with her. This turns into a courtroom drama with Spark as Capsize’s lawyer and Andor as Jordan’s.

Because when your items are stolen or your base griefed well then ya better call conway!

I’ve pitted the man who wrote the book on dagrun law vs the guy who abided by it, so it ends with them just arguing Dagrun laws even tho none if any are applicable in the s1 realm.

Who’s the judge? I don’t know because if you make it Ianite she definitely suffers from Capsize favoritism (it’s chronic), so she’d be biased. But they definitely have a jury of their peers made up of everyone else.

I… I just love this so much. This whole situation is so funny and it's great.

The idea of Jordan just not realising Capsize is alive because she's been avoiding him is so funny but genuinely in character for both of them. Jordan is completely baffled by the fact that no one thought to mention this, meanwhile Capsize is really worrying that Jordan might still be really misinterrupting their relationship and is just not in the mood for that. And yeah, that first interaction is going to be so awkward, even before the arguing starts.

As for the whole trial, I can definitely see Jordan wanting one and then getting annoyed that Capsize is not taking it seriously at all. Mostly because Jordan had something to do with her original ship sinking so sinking one of his should be fair game. Spark has told her that she can't say that out loud, but like she sees no consequences even if she's found guilty of this.

Spark and Andor being the lawyers is so funny because I imagine the one major change to the laws since Spark left (other than the whole Mianite being the one true god thing) is that the death penalty was introduced for so many petty crimes. Despite this not being an important difference because they aren't going to kill Capsize even if she is guilty, Spark is just a bit concerned about what the hell happened.

I guess the judge would end up being Jeriah? Maybe Mianite if they manage to actually get him to show up for this nonsense. I can't think of anyone else they could argue not having a bias. The jury is definitely just there to be entertained by the mess that's unfolding.

For a couple of stupid ideas of that could happen: -- Capsize insisting any crimes she commited before being revived no longer count because she died between then and now. -- Everyone really insisting that they thought Jordan knew Capsize was alive. -- Multiple discussions about if certain people should really be on the jury because they they clearly have a bias towards one of the two, with the decision being that the biases end up balancing each other out.

okay, now i’m actually watching Joel’s 3rd Episode of Last Life and let me give some of my favorite moments (spoilers ahead!):

the dynamic of him and Scar is just. Wonderful to me.

it’s a bit poetic how Scar, the first to reach his Red Life in the previous season and spent the rest of the series living with a Green Life, is now living near the 1st Red Life of this season.

guess we’ll see if they make it as far as Grian and Scar did last season with this dynamic.

anyway, the fact that any time they communicate, Scar breaks some blocks between them like it’ll help. it’s an effort! and it does make Joel laugh, thus bringing some good vibes!

it makes me think that perhaps Scar is the only one left to see the good in Joel. considering they were closest to each other before Joel lost his lives, i think this is Scar clinging to the one ally (the one friend) that he had/has despite all the dangers.

even if it puts himself at risk, Scar REALLY wants to keep what small ties he did have to someone else. (he’s a bit lonely.) and i think it makes Joel feel better knowing at least someone out there doesn’t fear him entirely. it can’t be easy being ostracized from everyone else for something you couldn’t control.

their tentative friendship gives me life.
