nipple piercings .
(MINORS DNI)
ot7 x reader , nipple play / breast play , inspired by this request
you had just gotten home from a girls day with your best friend, meaning you were worn out, oh and in pain. you and your friend had agreed to do something a little wild and get piercings together, turns out wild to your friend meant to get her belly button pierced, maybe you should've stuck with her idea of wild. now as you looked into the mirror you saw your nipples, swollen and sore, a cute shiny bar pierced right through them. you winced as you brought your hands up to touch them. why did you think this was a good idea?
on top of the pain your phone wouldn't stop ringing your groupchat notifications coming in one after the other.
hyuckie bear! : hellooo is y/n coming i'm only going if she is
junnie 💛 : no seriously why would i willingly hang out with a group of men
nana 🫂 : of course she's coming she always does guysss don't be lame we haven't had movie night in agessss 🥺
my 94 🎸: y/nnnn respond pleaseeee are you coming???
ji bug 👩‍🍼 : y/nnn i just broke my legssss ITS AN EMERGENCYY
puppy 💋 : the way she doesn't care 😭😭
big head baby 💞 : whatever losers i'm calling her
your phone began to ring, chenle's profile pic of him stuffing his face with marshmallows shining on the screen.
"yes chenle, what is it?"
you could hear him giggling to someone on the other end,
"y/n, y/n hellooo, are you coming? we have movie night remember?"
you let out a sigh as you slumped down into your bed,
"uh, i don't know lele i'm kinda tired tonight, can we reschedule?"
you could practically see his reaction from the sound of his voice,
"what? no way! you know we all have have midterms soon, and then it's just studying studying studying, we won't get to see you! tell her ji!"
he passed the phone to jisung,
"y/n can you come please, we miss you, i miss you, just for one movie okay? and then jeno can drive you home!"
you heard jeno in the background yell something along the lines of, i didn't agree to that! and chenle shushing him before grabbing the phone again,
"okay well haechan's on his way! see you soon!"
he hung up before you could answer, leaving you staring at your phone screen. it's just a couple hours right? and you won't get to see the boys again after a while so, maybe you should just go, who knows you might have fun.
.
your outfit was comfortable, not by choice of course, but comfortable nonetheless. you put on your largest tee, praying the material wouldn't graze your nipples, making sure to apply some ointment before leaving, hoping that it would soothe the soreness. so far, not so good. but you were already at jisung and chenle's shared dorm, sitting cross legged on the couch.
you had avoided the greetings as best as you could, resorting to a quick kiss on the cheek instead of your usual hug. thankfully nobody questioned it, boys just happy to see you.
the dorm started filling up, only haechan missing as you all sat around the tv, scrolling through the movie options on netflix. jaemin sat next to you, head on your shoulder as he scrolled through his phone. he sniffed loudly, head coming up to put his nose close to your neck,
you looked down at him, wondering what was wrong. he giggled at you, as he placed his head back on your shoulder,
"weird, you smell like ointment."
you chuckled nervously, did you overdue it with the cream?
"oh uh, yeah, just have some muscle soreness, doctor gave me some cream for it."
he hummed, turning his focus back to his phone. mark scooted in next to you, offering you some popcorn. you thanked him as you took a handful, a grimace on your face as you tasted the snack.
"mark, why do you always put too much salt."
his eyes widened as he tried the popcorn himself,
"dude, i swear i just put a tiny bit!"
you flinched as a pair of large hands grabbed your shoulders from behind,
"put a tiny bit of what? did mark put too much salt in the popcorn again?"
you turned your head, not surprised to see that haechan was the one making fun of mark. he leaned down to give you a quick peck on the cheek before walking around the couch to find a seat.
"sorry i'm late guys, traffic is a bitch."
renjun walked into the living room, ruffling his wet hair,
"nobody cares, wait, you don't even drive?"
haechan motioned for jaemin to move over so he could squeeze in next to you, rolling his eyes at renjun's comment.
"buses also get stuck in traffic you know!"
you all laughed as renjun called haechan a name, before everyone turned their attention to the tv, everyone but haechan that is.
"hi baby, gonna give me a proper hello or do i have to beg?"
you side eyed haechan, used to his antics.
"you already said hello, remember?"
you pointed at your cheek where he pecked you earlier.
"i meant a real hello, like a hug, come here."
before you could protest haechan's arms wrapped around you pulling you into a hug.
"wait, hyuck, wait, OW!"
haechan quickly let go of you, confused by your sudden reaction,
"i'm sorry, are you okay, did i hurt you?"
everyone's attention was now on you and haechan, waiting to see if you were okay.
"oh yeah, my bad, just kinda have sore muscles."
you brought your hand up to hold your arm, pretending to have pain there. you heard jeno chuckle from his seat on the floor in front of you.
"sore? from what? you're going to the gym now?"
you pushed his head, offended by his mocking tone,
"for your information lee jeno, i do actually-OW!"
you flinched, hands coming up to cover your breasts. you turned to see jaemin leaned over haechan reaching forward towards your chest. he giggled before turning his head to look at haechan, arm still stretched out towards you,
"see i told you, it's her nipples that are sensitive."
you slapped his arm away, before wrapping you arms over your breasts again.
"what the hell jaemin! have you lost your mind?"
he blushed slightly leaning back away from haechan, sitting up in his seat now.
"sorry. i just noticed, when i smelled you, you have, like, your, you know-"
he pointed to his chest,
"i saw the piercings through your shirt."
the boys eyes widened as they all turned to face you.
"piercings?"
you rolled your eyes at them,
"sometimes, it's better to mind your business, i don't need to tell you guys everything i do with my life, so what i pierced my nipples, can we hurry up and pick a movie?"
jeno turned to look at you, now on his knees in front of you, hands on your thighs,
"you actually got them pierced?"
you suddenly felt shy as you looked at jeno, a soft look on his face.
"well yeah, it was a last minute thing."
chenle scooted over on the floor towards jeno, facing you.
"did it hurt?"
you laughed at his question,
"of course it hurt lele, it still hurts now."
jisung gulped as he walked over towards where the guys had now huddled around you,
"can we see-ouch!"
he rubbed the back of his head where renjun had hit him,
"jisung you can't just ask to see her tits!"
jisung ducked his head, a blush painting his ears,
"uh only if you want of course, i'm just kinda curious."
haechan nodded his head quickly hand coming up to hold your arm,
"me too, i wanna see too."
you looked up at all of them, their eyes shiny and cheeks pink as they waited for your response.
"do you guys want to, like actually?"
they all nodded quickly, embarassingly quickly. mark letting out a cough,
"but only if you want, like ji said."
you bit your lip as you reached for the hem of your shirt. these guys had been your friends for years what's the harm in just letting them get a peek, just a peek.
you lifted your shirt up, gasping lightly as the cool air hit your nipples. all their jaws dropped as they stared at your breasts. nipples perked up and shiny from the ointment. haechan was the first to speak,
"can i touch them?"
you let out a soft yes before you could process that you were letting one of your best friends, touch your tits. but any form of regret immediately disappeared as you felt haechan's large hands cup your breasts, thumb coming up to lightly play with the metal jewelry. you winced at the slight pain. jeno quickly reaching forward to gently remove haechan's hands.
"be gentle hyuck, can't you see they're swollen."
his hands replaced hyuck's, larger and firmer, slightly fondling your breasts before his fingers moved to rub around your nipple. you let out a sigh, the pain from before slowly fading away as jeno massaged your sore breasts.
"yeah? that feel good baby?"
you hummed in response, biting back a moan as the feeling of jeno's hands on your breasts began to cause some tension in your core. you squeezed your thighs together hoping none of them noticed the heat radiating off your body.
mark moved his hand in between your legs, lightly massaging the inside of your thigh.
"this okay?"
you nodded, scared of how your voice would sound if you spoke.
"alright that's enough jen my turn."
jaemin got on his knees in front of you, pushing jeno aside. his hands came up to hold your breasts, slightly squeezing them in his palms before bringing two fingers to gently pinch at your nipples. you sucked in a breath trying to move away from his grasp, when you felt someone's hands brush your hair back, collecting it in his hands, exposing your neck.
"relax baby, we'll be gentle. right jaemin?"
renjun gave the boy between your legs a stern look before gently kissing your neck, nuzzling the spot with his nose after.
mark and chenle on opposite sides of you reached forward, each of them gently massaging one of your thighs before gently pulling them apart, slowly moving their hands inward.
jisung came down to kneel next to jaemin dipping his head towards you exposed tummy, planting light kisses on the sides of your waist, tickling your skin.
you felt a warm breath against your ear, looking over at haechan as he lowered his hand to grip at his bulge,
"tell us when to stop, and we promise we'll leave you alone."
you heard jeno chuckle as he reached forward to undo the bow on your sleeping shorts.
"even though i doubt you'll tell us to stop."
renjun tutted above you,
"play nice boys, we're gonna have to learn to share, right?"
thank goodness you didn't get the belly piercing.
.

Azriel X Reader
Day Full of Love
Two hours. That’s how much time was left before you and Azriel were finally united forever. You couldn’t hide your feelings from your loving mate everytime you thought of it, unconsciously sending waves of love down the bond.
He was everything that you could’ve asked for. He might not see it himself, but you do. You knew he deserved happiness, even if he didn’t accept it. That’s what you intended to prove to him today.
Not only were you getting married to your mate, but you also had a small gift for him. You didn’t tell anyone about your surprise. Not even Mor, who was currently trying to peek into the small gift bag. “You know I can see you, right?”
She backed away hastily, hands up in surrender, “I was just making sure you didn’t leave any of your jewelry. Can’t have you missing anything.” You scoffed rolling your eyes. Mor couldn’t mind her business for the life of her. It was her ongoing curiosity that made you and Azriel reveal the truth about being mates. You both tried to hide it from your family, attempting to get used to the bond yourselves first, but thanks to her things didn’t go to plan.
“Sure…,” you murmured watching her out of the corner of your eye. You brushed out your uncooperative hair, growing frustrated with time. Feyre came to assist you, pulling your hair into an up do style, while you proceeded to put in earrings while looking out the window.
The wedding took place during sunset and at the moment the sun was barely over the horizon. Everything outside was set up, as far as you could tell from the window at least. The white banisters were hung high and the tables were covered with a cobalt blue table cloth. The chairs had small accents of silver and blue and the aisle…
The isle that you were going to walk down within the next few minutes was shimmering in the last rays of sunset. You couldn’t wait to see the way that Azriel would look at you as you walked down the aisle. The way he would take in the dress as it flowed around you. the way his eyes would connect with yours, sending his love and adoration down the bond you shared.
You were so lost in your thoughts that you didn’t realize Feyre calling to you. her hands on your shoulders was what brought you back to reality. “Are you alright?” She asked softly. You nodded telling her that you were just thinking as she went to pick up your dress. You could see the understanding in her eyes at your words. “I was nervous before Rhys and I did the ceremony—“
“You mean the ceremony that I wan’t invited to,” Mor shouted from across the room. You couldn’t but laugh at the slightly guilty look of Feyre’s face. You were still upset about not being invited to her ceremony as well, but you didn’t let it show like Mor did.
She helped you step into your dress, responding with, “The situation was different back then, Mor, but I’ll make sure we include you next time we have a big event.”
“Me too,” you added, turning so she could zip up your gown. Thankfully you and Azriel didn’t have to worry about the threat of a war during this big moment. You couldn’t imagine how hard it was for Feyre and Rhys at that time.
You quickly grabbed the gift bag and left Feyre put on your veil. “I’ll make sure to invite you too.”
Mor, nudged Feyre’s shoulder, “You better.” She handed you the bouquet, “Now then let’s get this wedding started.”
********************
Azriel loved his brothers, no doubt about that, but at this current moment he wanted to erase them from the Night Court. Cassian spent the past twenty minutes crying over Azriel finally getting married, while Rhys recounted the time after his mating ceremony.
“He’s finally getting hitched, Rhys, can you believe it,” Cassian cried, slapping Azriel on the back causing his wings to flare. He sighed in irritation, all hopes of finally buttoning up his shirt lost.
There were only five minutes left. Five minutes and he still wasn’t fully dressed. Not that you would mind seeing him walk down the isle without a shirt.
Rhys could tell that Azriel was frustrated from the way his shadows frantically whipped around that room. Each dark wisp coming back to tell him where everything he needed was: the rings on the dresser and his shoes near the bed.
“Sit,” Rhys said, signaling at a chair. Azriel rushed over not caring about what his brother was trying to do. His attention was on his shirt that he still hasn’t finished fixing the buttons on. He was so focused on the item of clothing that he didn’t notice Cassian holding his shoes out to him or Rhys’s hands in his hair.
Azriel took his shoes, bending down to lace them. He pushed Rhy’s away every time he reached for his shoulder. “Do you ant me to finish your hair or not Az.”
Azriel’s head snapped up, “What?”
“Your hair.” Rhys handed him a mirror to look at the nest of hair on his head. Azriel cursed and promptly sat back. He couldn’t remember the last time Rhys had touched his hair. He used to do it five hundred years ago when they were kids, but eventually stopped after a while. The only person that touched the black hair on Azriel’s head now was you.
“There. What are we thinking?” Azriel inspected his hair throughly. You wouldn’t care what his hair looked like regardless, but he still wanted to make sure it looked perfect for you.
“I think we should add glitter,” Cassian suggested. “The girls at the camp told me that glitter makes everything look better.”
“Absolutely not,” Azriel deadpanned. Thinking about the small girls that he trained at the camp. As much as he adored them, he would not be adding any type of shimmer into his locks.
Rhys placed his hands on his brothers shoulders. “It’s time for you to get married.”
******************
Azriel’s eyes didn’t leave you as you made your way down the aisle. You had to stop yourself from running up to him when you first saw him. He was absolutely glowing in the last rays of the sunset. You could see the reddish brown membrane of his wings as you continued to step towards him, nearly crumpling under his gaze.
He looked at you in all the ways you imagined and more. His eyes completely devoured you and you could see the desire in his eyes more as you stood on the platform with him. “Hello beautiful,” he whispered, wrapping his arm around your waist. You wanted to kiss him badly at that moment, but you would have to save that for the end of the ceremony.
Rings were exchanged and white fabric was wrapped around your wrists to symbolize the band before you heard the words you had been waiting for. “You may now kiss the bride.”
Azriel swept you off your feet, pulling you in for a passionate kiss. It was unlike any kind of kiss he had given you before. His lips pressed against yours, telling you everything that he felt in that moment. You felt his love, his desperation, and his need all in one. The cheers in the background made you push Azriel’s chest. No matter how tempting it was at the moment, you didn’t want to give your entire family a show.
You were beaming as you listen to the cheers from Feyre, Cassian, Rhys, and, to your surprise, some claps from Amren.
The night continues with drinks, food, and plenty of congratulations. It was hard to get a private moment with your husband. You only managed to pull him away when everyone was dancing together, celebrating the new union in the family.
“I got you gift,” you said, handing him the small bag. You were nervous, very nervous. What would he say when he saw what was in the bag? How would he react? You couldn’t stop these thoughts from rushing though your head as you mate looked at you curiously.
“You didn’t have to get me anything love.”
“I know, but this is very special to me and I wanted to share it with you.”
“Just know I’m going to get you something in return.” You rolled your eyes at your husbands antics. He would never let you surprise him without repaying the favor.
You watched as he pulled a small cloth out of the bag. He squinted his eyes in suspicion, unfolding the item. “Is this what I think it is?” His eyes scanned the onesie in his hands. You nodded softly, tears brimming your eyes. Azriel enveloped you in his arms whispering into your hair, “When did you find out, beautiful?”
“Two months ago,” you said, burying your head into his neck.
He kissed you temple, “So this is why you wanted to move the wedding up.”
You nodded, at a lost for words. You remembered talking to Azriel about your plans to move the wedding up. When he asked you why you claimed it was because you couldn’t wait to get married to him. You could see the suspicion on his face, but that was the quickest thing you could come up with. Keeping secrets from the shadowsinger was a hard thing to do.
You sat there in Azriels arms for a while, the commotion around you disappearing. “Should we tell them too?” You asked, knowing how happy your family would be to hear the news.
“Not yet. I want to keep this a secret for a little while longer. Plus,” he turned to look at the rest of your family clinging their glasses together, “I think there’s been enough excitement for one day.”

Lost in the Jungle - pt. 8
“What did you do in Ecuador?” your boyfriend asked as you all were finally up in the air and on your way home.
Thankfully the painkillers from Ducky which Jethro gave you were starting to take effect and it was such a great relief that the pain was finally lessening.
You've been waiting for this question, but unfortunately you couldn't answer it for him, no matter how much you wanted to.
“He must have been going through hell the last few days and hours,” you thought as he looked at you with a worried, relieved, but also questioning look.
You felt guilty because he had to endure such fear of loss because of you and you couldn't even tell him why you were here. Hopefully he would understand this based on his own experiences. You would certainly have trouble with it yourself.
“I'm sorry, but I can't tell you. The mission is classified. But at least it was successful,” you answered as best as you could.
Gibbs only hung his head, nodded and then mumbled “at least you are back at my side.”
You grabbed his hand and squeezed it. Smiling at him you answered softly “thanks to you.” He locked eyes with you and smiled back.
He wished very much that he knew what this mission was, but since it's classified there was no chance of knowing. He knew that from his own missions.
So you both sat in silence, holding hands and followed your own thoughts.
Tim was silent as well. He didn't want to disturb this moment of familiarity and intimacy between you.
After landing in D.C. you said goodbye to Stan and Olli and then Gibbs, Tim and you were on your way to the hospital.
Arriving there you were taken to the examination room and Gibbs and Tim had to stay outside during the examination.
While they were waiting, Gibbs called Tony “DiNozzo. We're back in D.C. We found her and she's being examined in the Bethesda hospital at the moment.”
“Wonderful! I'll tell the others and then come to you,” Tony answered excitedly and Gibbs hung up.
The exam didn't take long, but for your boyfriend and your best friend, it took what felt like an eternity.
And before long you were brought outside in a wheelchair with your left lower leg in a plaster cast.
Immediately they came to you “what's up? Everything okay?”
“Yes,” the doc replied. “She has a few scratches and bruises and a broken leg, but nothing that will not heal given time.
We'll keep her here overnight for observation and you can take her home tomorrow. But the plaster must remain for the next 6 weeks. If you'll excuse me now, I need to check on my other patients. Her room number is 212, if you would be kind enough to take her there.”
Gibbs nodded and drove you to your room. On your way you chatted with Tim the whole time and as the three of you arrived there, both helped you into bed.
Tim went to get an additional pillow for you, so Jethro and you could talk in private.
He sat on your bed, held your hand, squeezed it and watched you lovingly. You watched him equally smitten and mumbled full of love “thank you for rescuing me.”
He smiled and answered softly “I would do it again and again, because I don't know what to do without you. But please, don't scare me so much again.”
His heartbroken look made your heart fly out to him. So you sat up, cupped his cheek and kissed him passionately and he immediately responded to you.
Right in this blissful and intimate moment the door swung open and Jenny, Abby and Ducky walked into the room. Of course Tony walked in first and saw you both kissing.
Tim ran hurriedly behind them into the room and said apologetically “I'm sorry boss. I tried to stop them.”
Embarrassed, you leaned your head on Gibbs’ chest while he laid his chin on your head frustrated, wrapped you in his arms, sighed because of the interruption and just answered “it's okay, McGee.”
Everyone was standing in the room, didn't move and didn't say a word, but looked very amazed at you two.
You just hoped that Tony would once in a lifetime cease to make jokes, but no. That wouldn't be Tony.
Of course, he had to say what everyone was probably thinking “wow, did I see what I think I saw?” he asked the obvious excitedly.
Your head turned hot red, you looked down at your hands and mumbled shyly “Uhm, yes.”
He leaned on the foot of your bed “so you and our boss?” he wiggled with his eyebrows.
“Uhm, yeah” you answered grinning.
Then Gibbs joined the conversation and simply stated warningly “DiNozzo.”
But Tony didn't let up “since when has this been going on between you two?”
Gibbs answered directly, “6 months.”
You were shocked about him blabbing about this and squealed “Jethro!”
He just looked at you, shrugged his shoulders and reasoned “let them know, they are family.”
Then Tony raised his hands in surrender and said “okay, okay. We just came to say hello and watch how you are doing, Y/N.
And we have found out what happened.
More specifically, why you were shot down and by whom.”

4/9 Sign Word Count: 609
(mentions of the Black family household) @jegulus-microfic
Regulus didn’t arrive at the Potters as dramatically as Sirius had. There wasn’t a large fight involving major injury and he hadn’t been disowned. (At least not yet, he was sure the papers for that would get signed relatively soon.) He just simply didn’t go back to 12 Grimmauld Place that Christmas Holiday. Instead he had finally given way and agreed to the months of James’ begging. Following in Sirius’ footsteps and escaping from his previously assigned fate.
Thankfully his birthday was in early January so by the time his parents could do anything about his recent disappearance he would be 17. Hence out of the clutches their dictatorship forever.
It was odd getting off the train and not being immediately shuffled off the platform. He was also never greeted by his parents. Instead someone along the lines of a nanny would come and collect him.
Never before had he experienced the joys of having someone who truly cared about him waiting on platform 9 3/4 to take him home.
When they apparate to the Potter Mansion Regulus was greeted with warmth and joy not cold, dark, loneliness.
That evening for dinner Effie cooked instead of a squad of house elves. She made an entire feast in celebration of Regulus’ arrival.
During dinner Monty speaks to Regulus from the head of the table. “So what are your intentions with my son?”
In response to Regulus’ horrified look Monty only laughs. Bright and cheery.
“I’m only kidding Regulus. You seem like a very respectable young gentleman and I have no doubt in my mind that you are nothing but perfect to my son.”
After dinner James and Sirius help move all of Regulus’ belongings into a spare room. One across from James’ and down the hall from Sirius’. The room; despite being relatively similar to the one he had inhabited back at Grimmauld Place, has a warm presence to it. Something Regulus hadn’t before known could exist in any space of his.
Later that evening they sit on the couches by the fireplace in the living room. They talk and nurse large mugs of steaming hot cocoa.
Suddenly Effie jumps up from where she had previously been seated.
“Oh my! How could I forget," she exclaimed hurriedly.
Regulus looked at her with a puzzled expression painted on his face.
“You’re not officially moved in until you have a sign! Your bedroom door needs a sign just like James and Sirius’ rooms have!”
“Oh, it’s really not that big of a deal,” Regulus responded.
“You need a sign, Reggie! To match me and Sirius! How else will we know what room is yours?” James piped in from his spot on the couch.
“Truly, I insist, we can go out tomorrow morning to have one made,” Effie continued.
And that was that.
The next morning after breakfast they all went into Diagon Alley and had a sign for Regulus’ bedroom made.
Later that day when they arrived back at the Potter Mansion and Monty hung up the sign on the door.
He stands there examining the sign hanging above the threshold of his new bedroom door. The sign, although identical in shape, size, and color to the ones ordaining both James and Sirius’ bedroom doors, is customized with exactly what Regulus had wanted it to say. Do Not Enter Without the Express Permission of Regulus Arcturus Black it says in a bold font.
Regulus looks at James who stands beside him reading the sign as well. James reaches down to give him a quick kiss on the cheek and finally for the first time in Regulus’ life he feels at home.

Out of all the questions in the world, San never thought he would ask, “What are we?” He felt like one of those melodramatic women in the TV shows that only housewives really watch. Thankfully, Gyuri took that question like a champ.
“Uh, I’d say that we’re dating,” Gyuri responded.
“Exclusively?”
“Yeah, exclusively.”
“So then, would that make you my girlfriend?” He figured he should just be shameless and ask instead of dancing around the topic delicately.
“I suppose,” Gyuri acknowledged after contemplating the thought. “That means you’re my boyfriend, huh?”
“Yeah…
The two of them were in Gyuri’s bed at that moment, Gyuri’s head resting on his bare chest. He really could not believe himself for asking that question right after they had intimate relations mere seconds ago. Gyuri didn’t seem so bothered by it, though, so it was okay in the end.
As Gyuri laid in San’s arms, San felt his heart flutter watching her eyelashes bat slowly and feeling her arms around him gently pull him closer to her. He still was completely baffled by how enamored he was with this girl, that he was capable of such strong feelings for another person. It made him want to parade her around town, that this beautiful being, Hwang Gyuri, was his girlfriend. He couldn’t do that, though. Of course he couldn’t, because they were still keeping their relationship quiet. That’s when it hit him.
“Let’s go on vacation.”
“Huh?” Gyuri didn’t sound skeptical; just genuinely confused.
“I’m so tired of sneaking around,” San sighed. “I want to be able to display our relationship without worrying that one of our friends will see. It’s starting to get exhausting to keep sneaking around like this.”
“I guess you’re right… Well, winter break is coming up, so why don’t we plan a trip for winter break?”
That’s exactly what they did. Unbeknownst to him, Iseul’s family was incredibly wealthy. Her grandmother built her restaurant chain from the ground up after her grandfather was killed in combat. Her kids, Iseul’s parents and aunts and uncles, followed in her footsteps to get their own money, and so did her cousins apparently. Iseul made a couple phone calls, and next thing they knew, San and Gyuri were going to go to Jeju.
“Should we throw a ROD party for New Year’s or the days after?” Wooyoung asked the group; they were all hanging out at Ze Cafe.
“I’m going to a New Year’s party outside of the group. I want to kiss someone at midnight, and I want her to be someone we don’t know and will never have to know,” Mingi declared. “I vote after.”
“I agree. I want to see Mingi get rejected at this party,” Yunho couldn’t help but laugh as Mingi glared at him.
“Gyuri and I actually can’t do after,” Iseul said. “We’re going to Jeju to visit my grandmother.”
“Can’t you go for Christmas?” Wooyoung pouted.
“I don’t want to… My whole family will be there, and I don’t want to deal with the family politics. Also, it’s nice to be blessed by elders at the start of a new year.”
“Blessed with a butt-load of cash,” San muttered to Gyuri, who nodded solemnly. San then addressed the group, “I can’t do after, either. I’m going to visit my folks.”
“Oh, it’s been a while since I’ve hung out with your dad! Can I come?” Wooyoung asked.
“No. We got our own set of family politics to deal with,” San didn’t necessarily lie to Wooyoung, but the family politics were mainly just about who his sister was dating and why the family didn’t like him.
“Please? I promise I won’t get involved,” Wooyoung begged.
“No,” if San didn’t reject him outright, then his and Gyuri’s plan would be ripped apart. Wooyoung frowned animatedly, but San did not budge; no really meant no this time.
Upon arriving at Jeju, it turned out that Iseul was dead serious about visiting her grandmother— she had to kiss up to her grandmother in order to get money from her, and Iseul apparently really wanted free money. What San did not anticipate, though, was Iseul arranging something even more grand than a trip to Jeju— her cousin, who apparently had his own private jet, flew San and Gyuri to Thailand, where Iseul’s grandmother owned a huge vacation house by the beach.
“Exactly how filthy rich is Iseul’s grandmother?!” San exclaimed as he opened the doors to the master bedroom bathroom, equipped with a steam room, hot tub, and Italian handcrafted faucets.
“Let’s put it this way: you know Ouran High School Host Club?”
“Yeah?”
“That. That’s how rich she is.”
Not that San didn’t want to be with Gyuri, but he momentarily wished that he and Iseul could have made something work— he wouldn’t mind living in a lavish house like this for the rest of his life.
For the four days they were there, Gyuri kept surprising him with every passing second. The first day they were there, they spent most of their time unwinding on the beach— the house was far enough away so that they didn’t have to deal with tourists, which pretty much meant that they kind of had their own private beach. San laid on a beach chair by himself for a good chunk of time reading a book while Gyuri was inside doing God knows what. She emerged from the house wearing what he could only describe as the sexiest bikini swimsuit he had ever seen. It seemed as though what held the green swimsuit on her were only drawstrings that San desperately wanted to untie. He stared at her as she sashayed along the sand and waded into the calm waves of the ocean, his book falling onto the sand. San felt like he were watching a movie as Gyuri briefly swam through the water then emerged while seemingly walking in slow motion, her tied up hair cascading down her shoulders as she untied it, her skin glistening and glittering in the sun.
“What?” she asked him as he continued to stare, his face extremely hot.
“…You’re evil.”
“What do you mean?” Gyuri sat down next to him on the chair.
“You know exactly what I mean,” San wrapped one arm around her waist and pulled her into him with a jerk.
“I’m afraid I don’t,” she teased him.
Clearly, she did, because next thing he knew, they were back in the house and on the couch in the living room. San untied every string on her swimsuit with his teeth as he pinned her on the couch, his body itching to be pressed against hers. He left a trail of kisses down he chest to her hips and then to her thighs, but he didn’t leave any dark purple marks on her body this time. The two of them really let themselves go, their moans reverberating through the empty vacation house. San loved how high and loud Gyuri’s moans went when she wasn’t holding them back, and he really wished she could sound like that every time they had sex, but they couldn’t do it in 1024UB without someone else finding out about them.
Gyuri had packed four different bikinis for the four days they were there, and San felt himself going crazy. One particular strappy black swimsuit made San’s head swim in so many pheromones that he got into the water with Gyuri and made love to her in the ocean of all places. San just could not keep his hands off her. He wanted to hear her breathing hitch as he teased her. He wanted her to straddle him as he held her waist and slipped his hands down to her ass. He wanted to feel her tender lips sprinkle hickeys on his chest. He wanted to feel her nails as she ran her fingers through his hair. He wanted all these things and more all day and night.
They went out for dinner every night to a different nice restaurant in the area. Gyuri found a local shop that sold colorful dresses and skirts, and she bought a couple of those dresses to wear for dinner with San. She seemed to become more breathtaking with each passing day, and he could feel his heart beat ever so slightly faster with every little thing she did. It was only on the last night did he realize his feelings for her.
San was sitting on the bed reading another book. Gyuri finished up in the bathroom and joined San on the bed. He put his book down and scooted closer to her. Rather than wrap his arm around her waist as he normally did, he held her hand instead, their fingers lacing together.
“I can’t believe we have to go back tomorrow,” San sighed.
“I know… I kind of wish we had another couple days or so.”
A comfortable silence settled between the two before Gyuri spoke again. “You know, I was kind of scared about this trip.”
“Why?”
“Well, we just made this relationship official, and we hadn’t even been on a proper date until this trip. I thought that maybe a vacation was too soon, but these past four days… I’ve never felt so happy and peaceful before.”
San didn’t even think about that. Usually, couples are together for a lot more time before they go on a trip together, so it was pretty unusual that they decided that they should go on a vacation together.
“We did start unconventionally, so I really didn’t consider that until now,” he told her. “It might have seemed too soon, but at the end of the day, it depends on how close you are with the other person and how much you trust the other person. I think that says a lot about us.”
Gyuri pressed her lips against San’s for a fleeting moment before they looked at each other and smiled. San’s heart was beating a little faster but extremely hard as he gazed into her eyes. He tucked her hair behind her ear and cupped her face delicately, her hands slowly resting on top of his. She smiled with her eyes; he loved when she smiled like that. Her eyelashes fluttered with every blink. Her ears always betrayed her before her face, the tips of her ears turning bright red. Her light freckles danced along her face as a pink blush rose to her face. To think she looked like this every single day made San yearn for her despite the fact that she was right there next to him. His hand brought her face up to his carefully.
Usually when they kissed, their lips would crash into each other impatiently, their tongues searching for each other. This time was different. He wanted to show her how he felt by kissing her slowly, passionately. San felt as her arms went over his shoulders, bringing her even closer to him. He felt as though his heart was beating so loudly that she would be able to hear it. Unable to refrain any longer, San pulled her shirt off over her head and he brought his lips down her neck to her collarbone. Every kiss on her collarbone and downwards left a light pink mark on her body, which she told him was okay after he asked her for permission. He felt her body purr and heard her moan softly as he moved down her slowly until he was at the very source of her impatience. He pushed her soaking panties to the side to let his tongue roll over her clit delicately, earning him a heart racing moan from her. San barely inserted one finger into Gyuri before her toes curled and her knees trembled in ecstasy, a loud moan ringing in his ear. He looked up to see Gyuri’s face bright red either from relief or embarrassment. San smirked and sat up.
“Fuck… San, I want more of you…” Gyuri breathed out.
“Don’t worry, I’m not done yet.”
San first slipped Gyuri’s panties off her before quickly removing his own clothes, only for her to pin him down as soon as they were both completely naked. He leaned towards the nightstand to grab a condom when she stopped him, her hands holding his arms.
“You said you’re clean, remember?” she whispered.
God, he wanted to ravish her roughly after she said that. He bit his lower lip and responded with a tiny nod. Her hands moved down to his wrists, his hands taking hers in his. Their fingers laced together as he pressed his knee gently in between her legs. San originally started the kiss slowly— he wanted to take his time relishing her, but Gyuri had other intentions. Her tongue slipped into his mouth, making him tremble. He simply could not wait any longer. He moved her leg so that it was wrapped around his hips as he placed himself at her entrance. She let out a tiny whine as he took his time teasing her. They stopped kissing as San pushed himself up. Sweat rolled down Gyuri’s neck, her eyes glistening. She was biting the inside of her lower lip, clearly in anxious anticipation of San entering her.
Gyuri gasped as San did enter her. The feeling was entirely different for him as well, the two of them never doing the deed raw before. San started slowly, only to speed up within seconds because of how fucking good everything felt. The mattress springs squeaked faster, matching his pace. Gyuri’s nails dug into his shoulders as she clung to him. They both couldn’t hold back any longer. San pulled out of her and came all over her body at the same time as she did. She let out the sweetest moan he had ever heard her let out, which made him want to go for her again, and again, and again; he wanted to hear her moan for him, and he wanted to be the only one to make her moan like that.
They went many times that night. They kept going until the sun started to rise. She laid in his arms with her eyes closed. They both were breathing peacefully as an orange light filled the bedroom. San looked down at her as she was bathed in hues of orange and yellow, and she looked up at him, her eyes tired but happy. She smiled at him, and he felt his heart beat hard against his chest.
That’s when it hit him: San loved Gyuri. He loved the way she fit into his arms perfectly, the way his head was able to rest in the nook of her neck comfortably. He loved the way her thumbs rubbed his arms lightly whenever he hugged her from behind and her arms moved his slightly so that he was hugging her just a little tighter. He wanted to be with her like this forever. At this point, it was only Gyuri he could imagine being with for the rest of his life.
He definitely had to thank Iseul and her grandmother profusely for letting this trip happen, for giving him the perfect chance to recognize his strong feelings for the girl of his dreams.

Can you do a professor riddle smut 😁??
Great work on your stories btw I love them ❤️❤️
Discipline- Tom Riddle
Summary: When you miss Professor Riddle’s class, he seeks you out and demands and explanation. Irritated at his nerve, you say things that anger him, therefore he decides to teach you some discipline.
A/N: I got a few Professor Riddle requests so I decided to combine them. Requests are open for Tom Riddle.
Warnings: Smut, professor x reader.
-
Professor Riddle was like the forbidden apple that everyone would die to have a small taste of.
The student population of Hogwarts had gone into a frenzy when it was announced that Tom Riddle would take the position as the Defence Against the Dark Arts teacher. The girls and boys alike whispered amongst each other once they caught a glimpse of the young man that looked like he was created by the Greek Gods. He was simply put, ethereal.
As the new transfer, you had been confused when it was time to head to the DADA class, overhearing the excitement of the students at the thought of seeing their professor. With furrowed brows, you had approached one of your new acquaintances, quietly asking him what the fuss was all about.
“Professor Riddle is very attractive. The whole female population of Hogwarts is in love with the man.” He had replied with a displeased expression, watching his girlfriend walking ahead of him fawn at the thought of their teacher.
You understood the appeal of an older man, sure, yet you had not thought he would be that much of a sight when you had been walking towards his class. However, once you stood in the room and your eyes met the dark ones of the man that you assumed was your professor, you had mentally agreed with the thoughts of your fellow peers.
He was beautiful.
Yet you acted as if you were not fazed, taking a seat in the middle row and avoiding further eye contact with the man, who was not done staring at you. You subtly felt someone probing at your mind, and alarm bells started ringing in your head before you shut down your mental barriers, head raising to look directly at your professor, who had his brows furrowed in confusion. Shooting a glare at him for attempting to glance into your mind, you lowered your head to your book once again, wondering if it was even allowed for a teacher to use Legimilens on a student.
Thankfully, he had not made you introduce yourself, proceeding with the lesson, as usual, pretending that nothing had happened and it had continued for weeks.
That was until you missed one of his classes, falling ill after a particularly cold day spent in Hogsmead and you were forced to stay in your bed for the whole day.
The next day when you were eating your breakfast, you suddenly became aware of the unusual silence that hung upon the table, the chatter fading away as everyone stared at something behind you. Naturally, you turned around and were surprised to see Professor Riddle, his usual stern expression now irritated, looking at you with what you assumed was disapproval.
“You missed a class yesterday.” He spoke, his low voice sending a chill down your spine. How could someone’s voice be that alluring? You wondered silently, before coming back to the present and frowning at him.
“Yes, I am aware.” You replied, sarcasm dripping from your tone. You distinctly felt one of your peers elbow you in the ribs yet you shot her a dirty look and she turned back to her meal.
“Mind your attitude.” He warned, eyes narrowing as his eyes roamed over your form. “Come with me.” He commanded, not waiting for a reply before he turned on his heel and walked away from your table, leaving you to huff before rushing after him.
“Where are we going, sir?” You asked, slightly unnerved now that you were alone with him. He halted suddenly, turning towards you, and you had no time to react before you crashed into his front, hands laying atop his chest in order to soften the collision. His hands grabbed your arms in an instant as if to prevent you from falling, and you immediately pulled away, cheeks flaming hot as you apologised hastily.
His hand suddenly found the space under your chin, lifting it up forcefully, making you meet his obsidian eyes, staring down at you with an expression you could not decipher.
“Shut up and get inside.” He hissed.
Swallowing nervously, you complied with his demand, moving into the dimly lit office. He followed after you and leaned against the table while his eyes travelled over you.
“Why are we here, sir?” You asked, crossing your arms around your chest and not missing the way his eyes dropped to your chest at the action.
“You missed a class, and I do not take kindly to my students skipping my lectures.”
“Well, for your information, I was ill. I missed all of my classes yesterday.” You scoffed, irritated at the way he was behaving as if you owed him anything.
He cocked his head to the side and clicked his tongue in disapproval. “Have you never been taught discipline before? Or do I have to teach you that too?”
You clenched your jaw in anger, shocked at his nerve to say such things, and before you could stop yourself, you retaliated. “Who are you to teach me discipline? My father?” You spat, glaring at him heatedly.
“Keep that attitude and I will spank you like I am.”
You took a step back in bewilderment at his crude words, eyes widening. You spluttered, not knowing how to reply to that, and before you knew it, he pushed away from the table and in three long strides, he was standing in front of you, getting way too close for it to be appropriate.
“What-” You cleared your throat. “What are you doing, sir?”
He leaned down, causing his dark curls to fall over his chiselled face and you subconsciously took a step back until you were pressed against a wall. He smirked and raised his hands to rest on the wall next to your head, effectively trapping you there.
He lowered his face until his lips touched your throat, and a whimper escaped your lips when his teeth grazed over the sensitive area. He nipped and sucked at the skin for a few moments before raising his head to look at the hickey he had given you with a smirk.
Possessive little shit. You thought to yourself.
“I am going to fuck that attitude out of you. That is what I am doing.” He replied to the question you forgot you even asked, and then you felt his lips press against yours forcefully. Your body did not hesitate before responding to his kiss, and the sensible part of your brain screamed at you furiously for allowing this to happen.
You locked your arms around his neck, your hands tugging on the hair at the nape of his neck, causing him to release a groan in pleasure. Smirking against his lips, you tugged harder, and he pulled away from you breathlessly. “You will pay for that, darling.” He promised, and then connected your lips once more.
One of his hands dropped to the hem of your skirt, slowly pushing it up before grabbing the inner part of your thigh. You gasped at the unexpected action, and he used this opportunity to slide his tongue into your mouth, while his hand massaged your inner thigh, almost in a teasing way.
You whined, wanting more, and this time he pulled away to look at you with darkened eyes. “Beg for it.”
Your breath hitched. “No.”
“I said to beg for it.” His hand itched higher, grazing the hem of your underwear.
“Please.” The plea left your mouth instantly, and you mentally cursed yourself for being so weak and giving in to him.
“Good girl.” His swollen lips curled into a smirk before his fingers finally touched you. You moaned at the sensation of his feeling against you, arching your back to feel more, eyes rolling to the back of your head in pleasure.
“The sounds you make...they drive me insane.” He breathed, watching you intensely, captivated by your expression of pleasure. “You have been driving me insane since that day you first walked into my class in that little skirt of yours.” He confessed, yet you were too preoccupied with the feeling of his fingers rubbing against you to pay much attention.
Suddenly, his fingers left you, and you whined in displeasure, eyes opening to glare at him for denying you.
“Patience, darling. You will only come when I am inside of you.”
Your hands dropped to his trousers, quickly trying to get rid of the offending item and then moving your hands to unbutton his shirt.
His head dropped to the column of your throat, attaching his lips to your skin, and you knew that there would be marks later, and you knew he would leave multiple just to claim his territory, yet you could not bring yourself to care.
His knee shifted so it would press against the place in between your thighs, and you started moving your hips in rhythm, trying to create some friction. Riddle groaned, hands gripping your hips and nails digging into your skin.
One of his hands tugged on your underwear until it dropped to pool around your legs. Your heart drummed against your chest, knowing there was no going back from what you were about to do.
He pressed closer to you, and your breath caught in your throat when you felt him sliding against you, and you could not take it anymore. “Fuck me, sir.”
Riddle groaned lowly, your words shooting straight to his core before he raised one of your legs to curl around his hips. He slowly pushed into you, hissing at the way you felt around him.
You cried out, the stretch being painful, yet a twisted part of you found pleasure in it. You felt your whole body heat up at the feeling of having him inside of you, hips pressed against yours, and his dark eyes focused on you, and only you.
After giving you a moment to adjust, he drew back before pushing roughly back into you, his eyes rolling back in pleasure.
The hand that was not holding your leg moved to curl around your throat, his rings digging into your skin, and a loud moan escaped your lips before you could contain it.
“Harder.” You breathed out.
His eyes snapped open to look at you before his hand tightened around your throat and his hips kept rolling against yours roughly, making you feel dizzy and floating, the pleasure of it all becoming unbearable.
He pressed his lips against your jaw, pushing into you again and again. You felt something building up in your lower stomach, and you moved your hips against him, meeting his thrusts.
His lips left your jaw to press against your reddened lips. Your hands tugged at his hair, and in response he bit your lower lip harshly, all the while keeping up the rough pace of his hips.
“I hate you.” You suddenly whispered, raising your other leg to wrap around his hip, allowing him to push in deeper.
“Is that so?” He laughed lowly, slowing his thrusts to look at you. “The sounds you are making right now prove otherwise.”
With that he ground his hips, with his right hand stationed at your hip, he allowed his head to fall forward, his forehead resting on your shoulder with a stuttering sigh. His release brought you over the edge, and with a final thrust of his hips, you cried out his name, fingers tightening in his dark curls.
“If this is the discipline you spoke of teaching, I believe I am in dire need of discipline lessons.”

This is for the “For the Fic” challenge whose winner for my fic was @darkficsyouneveraskedfor
The entire plot was her request and I hope that you like it!
summary: after escaping an abusive ex, you find solace in a therapist recommended to you by a friend.
~
“...I know I shouldn’t...but sometimes I blame myself. In Harry, I know that I was looking for what I never had in my family. I think it made me quick to rush into things...to ignore what I should have seen.”
Your eyes remained on the dark carpet, the man before you humming as the scribbling sound of his pen reached your ears. You fought hard not to fidget, a horrible habit you’d picked up in the last 3 years. You finally lifted your head again when the room was bathed in silence, eyes meeting familiar blue ones as he studied you.
You were used to these short moments of silence by now.
You’d been recommended to Dr. Steve Rogers by a friend, a friend who’d helped you escape your violent ex in the dead of night while he’d been away on business. She had grown worried when it became obvious that the effects of your tumultuous relationship would be lasting if you didn’t do something about it. Oddly enough, you’d been receptive. For 2 whole years, you’d wanted to tell someone, have anyone to turn to and talk to, but fear, a very valid fear, had stopped you.
Not only had you been worried for your life, something that was threatened on a constant basis, but you’d also been afraid of judgement. You worried what your friends would say, if they’d blame you for finding yourself in such a predicament, if they’d look down on you for no longer fighting back. It was only by a stroke of luck that Nakia had seen Harry slap you right across the face when he thought she’d left. You were grateful that she’d waited for him to leave before rushing towards your trembling frame, pulling you into her arms as she shushed you.
She had demanded to know how long this had been going on. She had been horrified and confused and angry. It didn’t take her long to come up with a plan, and within 2 weeks, after waiting for Harry to leave the city for 2 days, she’d gotten you out and into her place across town. You didn’t stay for long, maybe a few weeks, wanting nothing but to put it all behind you, and although she was sad to see you go, she understood.
It was how you found yourself in upstate New York, in a secluded tiny thing of a house. You hadn’t even realized that you’d become something of a recluse until Nakia had pointed it out during one of your weekly calls. It had never hit you that you went to work and to home and that was it. You barely ate anymore, so grocery shopping was never a frequent affair. That was when she’d told you about a well known therapist in the area, Steven G. Rogers. You had been shocked by how much you weren’t opposed to the idea as she went on listing all of his credentials.
It was only moments after she hung up that you found yourself researching him yourself. You remembered noting how handsome the man was, even more so in person. His bright blue eyes and silver tresses complimented his strong features nicely, pink lips pulled up into a polite smile. You didn’t find yourself put off by the stranger, thinking to yourself that talking to someone you didn’t know, an objective listener who was paid not to judge you, might be for the best.
You soon found out that was easier said than done.
The first visit had been rocky, barely mumbling a thing and constantly fidgeting. You had hardly been able to meet his eye, and the session had abruptly ended when you’d left early, stumbling over your words as you gave some half assed excuse for your sudden departure. He was far more understanding than you deserved during your second visit. Wracked with guilt and anxiety, you’d written some things down that you wanted to talk about, and thankfully, the man hadn’t laughed at you. In fact, you remembered how fondly he looked at you as you unfolded it.
As it turned out, you didn’t need the slip of paper at all. Notes forgotten, you had rambled on for an hour. It was like once you started, you just couldn’t stop, and Steve simply listened the entire time. The next time he spoke to you was only to tell you that your time was up, and both embarrassment and disappointment had flooded through you. It must have been obvious, plain as day on your features, because Steve reassured you that it was normal to ramble.
You had been reluctant to leave. After years of biting your tongue and living in fear of even making the wrong sound, you finally found someone to listen. Even if it was only a stranger getting paid for it, it was still something. There was someone to express your fears to, and although it had taken some time, terrified that you’d say the wrong thing and upset him, eventually, you started to express your anger too.
“...and then I get angry all over again,” you continued when he said nothing. “...because I’m smart, because red flags in others’ relationships have always been so obvious to me. I’ve always been the mom friend, the one who can spot trouble before it even starts. I’ve helped friends get out of situations before they even had the chance to turn sour…”
You shook your head.
“...and yet...it took a slap to the face to realize just how deep I was in? Not the jealousy, not the anger issues nor the way he’d isolated me from just about everyone in my life...but a slap? It should’ve never gotten to that.”
“You can’t blame yourself for the actions of others.”
It wasn’t the first time you’d heard that. Hell, it wasn’t even the first time he’d told you that, and yet here you were again.
“We can go in circles analyzing your own behavior and the things you did and the things you said, but the truth is that you could play it out in your head a million times. You could do every single thing differently, and it still wouldn’t change a thing.”
The corner of his lips lifted into a crooked smile, a familiar sight.
“Some people are simply cruel, and it has nothing at all to do with you.”
You sharply inhaled, unsure of why such a simple statement resonated with you so deeply. You stared at Steve, blinking a few times, opening your mouth to respond when he glanced at the clock. It was a tell tale sign, and your shoulders sagged. You would think that after seeing him for 7 months now, you’d be used to leaving after only an hour, but it never got easier.
“That’s all the time we have for today,” he said, standing. “You’re progressing nicely, Y/N.”
You rolled your eyes, and he chuckled, eyes crinkling.
“You are. Progress and healing isn’t linear. Sometimes you’re going to take 2 steps back before you can take 10 more forward. It’s all part of the process,” he assured you.
You sighed.
“Well… I guess that does make me feel a bit better,” you replied.
He sent you a small smile as he guided you towards the door.
“I’ll see you next week?”
You returned his smile with a nod and didn’t let your face fall until the door was shut behind you. The good thing about therapy was that you could recognize your own toxic behaviors now, and it was clear that you were becoming reliant on your sessions with Steve. You had never liked being alone, but you had come all the way out here to learn to do just that. For your sake, you needed to learn to love being alone. It was how you had gotten into this mess to begin with.
Your phone vibrated with a call from an unknown number, and figuring it was a scam call, you silenced it.
Your house was practically in the middle of nowhere, so when the tv wasn’t blasting or you didn’t have Spotify playing some light tune, the house could get scarily quiet. But that was what you wanted...right? Harry had always been so explosive. The smallest of things could set him off and then the sound of yelling and shattering glass would rain down on you. Silence and solitude was what you wanted, needed.
Your phone buzzed again as you settled into your car, and you huffed when you noticed it was the same number. Again, you weren’t unfamiliar with scam callers so you ignored it. You noted that you needed to go grocery shopping, but you weren’t on the precipice of starvation just yet, so it could hold off for another day. By the time you got inside, your phone had started to buzz again, and with a frown, you decided to answer it.
“Hello?”
You were met with silence as you unlocked your door, and you repeated yourself, but there was no response. With a sigh, you hung up the phone. You both loved and hated coming home. It was quiet and safe and everything you had craved for years now, but the unfamiliarity of it all unnerved you. Sometimes you were just waiting for Harry to come flying through the door, screaming and breaking things. You had to remind yourself that this silence, this security, is how it’s supposed to be.
You went about making a quick meal, hopping into the shower while leaving the stove on low. When you got out, in the process of moisturizing your arms, you noticed your phone buzzing with another call. From that same number. Unease filled you as you neared it, and you hesitantly reached for it before answering.
Again, you were met with silence, and frustrated and annoyed, you simply blocked the number. A quick look through your phone revealed that you’d missed several calls from the same number while in the bathroom. Blinking with a deepening frown, you set your phone down and made your way to your kitchen. Dinner, like always these days, was quiet. You curled up on the couch with your plate while you watched some old sitcom.
The rest of the night passed as blandly as it always did. Sleep was much easier to find these days, so you had no trouble as soon as your head hit the pillow. However, just as you were on the verge, your phone buzzed with another call. This number didn’t match the previous one, but it was unknown nonetheless. With a groan, you put your phone on silent and rolled over, sleep claiming you.

“I know it’s you,” you sneered into the phone.
Unsurprisingly, you were met with the faint sound of breathing, and you clenched your jaw. You slammed the car door behind you before stomping across the parking lot.
“I know it’s you,” you quietly repeated. “Stay away from me.”
You hung up before blocking the number, the 10th number you had blocked in the past week. Every few hours or so a day, like clockwork, you got calls from an unknown number. You’d always end up blocking the number after the first few calls, but they always called again from a different one. At first, they’d say nothing, and you’d listen to silence for a few seconds before hanging up. Now, they’d taken to breathing in your ear like a creep. It wasn’t even until you blocked the 3rd number did it finally hit you.
Harry.
Harry freaking Osborn.
You felt like such an idiot for not putting it together sooner. Of course, it was Harry. Was this not the same man who threatened to hunt you down and drag you back like some animal if you ever left him? You had always equated woman beaters to cowards so you never thought he’d have the nerve to actually do it. Putting the pieces together didn’t bring you any comfort. Your filthy rich abusive ex had managed to track you down. What comfort was there to find in that?
Since that day, you hadn’t had a proper night of sleep. Your mind was constantly at war with itself on what to do. Having been down this road before, you knew the police would be no help. You’d gone to them once before, at the very beginning after the first time he’d hit you. It was your first harsh lesson that money ruled over everything. If you thought hard enough, you could still recall his hands around your throat, eyes alight with anger at what you’d tried to pull.
Still, you considered at least trying to get a restraining order but at the end of the day, that was a mere piece of paper. If Harry came to your door, it wasn’t going to stop him from hurting you, and that’s even if the whole process went through. They don’t just give restraining orders out willy nilly. You tried not to dwell on that hypothetical situation, but if he’d found your number, it would only be a matter of time before he found your address.
“Oh!”
You’d only just entered the grocery store, barely stepping into an aisle when you bumped into someone. The chips and bread in his hands went flying to the floor, and apologies tumbled from your lips. It was only after you helped him pick up what you made him drop did you realize who you’d run into.
“Dr. Rogers...hi,” you breathed.
The corner of his lips pulled into a crooked smile, head tilting to the side as his gaze fell onto you.
“We’ve discussed this before, Y/N. You’re more than welcome to call me Steve,” he told you.
You gave a nervous chuckle, nodding.
“Yeah...uh… I normally do, it just...it just slipped my mind,” you replied.
He blinked at you, eyes narrowing just a bit as he studied you. His brows furrowed in that concerned way you were used to, a silver strand of hair kissing his forehead.
“Everything okay…?”
You folded your arms over your chest, nodding with a strained smile.
“Everything’s fine,” you lied. “It’s just… It’s been a weird week. Our next session cannot come fast enough.”
You forced a light laugh, and he joined you. He placed a hand on his hip, eyes boring into your own.
“There’s a coffee shop just over there,” he gestured. “Did you want to sit and have a chat?”
You frantically shook your head.
“Oh, no. I couldn’t,” you told him. “I-.”
“I know I’m your therapist, but I want you to think of me as a confidant outside of the office too. You’re more than welcome to talk to me anytime. In fact, I encourage it,” he interrupted.
You nervously eyed him with a frown.
“Are...are you sure?”
His smile was comforting.
“This may be my job, but it’s one I chose because it’s one I enjoy. I don’t want you to feel like you’re only allowed to talk to me during our sessions,” he quietly said.
You bit your lip, and Steve continued.
“I’d hate to think that you’re bottling things up for days on end, suffering in silence because you’re just waiting to talk to me,” he confessed.
Your shoulders sagged, and you hesitantly nodded.
“...okay. I just need to get a few things for the house.”
“Okay,” he said with a smile. “You know where to find me.”
You parted ways, and a sigh escaped you. You really didn’t want to become reliant on Steve. Wasn’t the whole point of therapy to learn how to process your feelings and cope with them better? Running to your therapist every time you have a problem just seemed counterproductive. And yet, once your car was loaded up with the few items you bought, you found yourself making your way to the coffee shop.
After ordering a small drink, you easily spotted Steve at a table in the back. You noted that even outside of your sessions, he still dressed nicely. The dark button down he wore contrasted with his light hair, dark slacks making him appear taller. You felt simultaneously nervous and comforted as you settled across from him. There was a brief silence, one in which you sipped on your drink while he eyed you before finally speaking.
“So what’s on your mind?”
What a loaded question. You struggled over whether or not to tell him the truth. Your abusive ex had found you somehow and was currently harassing you. That’s not something you could just casually drop into the conversation. Besides, Steve was your therapist, not your friend. You didn’t think it fair to rope him into the drama with your ex. That wasn’t part of his job description. Right?
“Just sleepless nights,” you said.
It wasn’t a complete lie. Steve eyed you like he was waiting for you to continue, blue eyes soft.
“I’m also worried that...my past might not remain in the past.”
Once again, this wasn’t a complete lie.
“How so?” Steve hummed.
“I can’t help but wonder about what will happen if Harry finds me. He always threatened that he would if I ever left, and while I never believed him before, I just keep wondering… What if he does?”
Steve tilted his head at you, and you leaned back in your seat with a sigh.
“I’ve moved all the way out here to get away from him. I’ve isolated myself because I thought it was for the best, but it would have the opposite effect if he ever found me. I’ve never been particularly close with my family as you well know, and I’ve left all of my friends. I’m all alone here, and it’s the worst thing to be if he ever did track me down.”
Like always, you had started to ramble, and you snapped your mouth closed, embarrassment flooding through you.
“What brought all of this on?”
Steve’s eyes were sincere as he ran them over you, handsome face twisted in concern, and you glanced away.
“Just thinking,” you lamely replied, eyes on your drink now. “It’s something I’ve always thought about, sure, but it’s been more pressing as of late.”
“Well...that’s what I’m here for. You shouldn’t have to deal with these thoughts alone,” he eventually said.
“I know,” you sighed, rubbing your temples. “...but I shouldn’t become so reliant on you. The whole point of therapy is to learn to deal with these things on my own, is it not?”
Steve exhaled, leaning back in his seat as he gazed at you.
“Not necessarily. Not always,” he answered. “...but even then, until you can get to that point, it’s best to lean into your support. After all, you’ve gotta crawl before you can walk, right?”
You nodded, taking in his words.
“...and even when you’re walking, you usually need someone there in the beginning to hold your hand in case you fall. I encourage you to talk to your friends more, maybe even branch out and find some friends here, but I’m here as well. Don’t halt any of your progress because you feel like you need to be dealing with this alone. Outside help does more for your progress than you’d think.”
“I guess that does make sense. I don’t know… I just- I’d feel so bad about showing up at your office throughout all hours of the day or calling your receptionist-.”
You cut yourself off when he took out a pen and a slip of paper.
“Here,” he said, scribbling a number on it before handing it to you. “This is my personal number.”
Your eyes widened.
“Oh, I can’t-.”
“It’s fine, trust me.”
You hesitantly returned his smile, taking the piece of paper.
“Don’t hesitate to call me anytime you want to,” he told you, standing.
You joined him, fingering the note before sliding it into your pocket.
“Thank you…Steve. I don’t know if I’ll ever actually call you, but just knowing that I have the option makes me feel so much better,” you whispered.
You heard his pager go off, and you watched as he glanced at it. He let out a sigh, and if you didn’t know any better, you’d say he sounded disappointed.
“I’ve got to go, but I hope you’ll use that number if you need to.”
Thanking him again, you said your goodbyes, and you watched as he exited the shop. The slip of paper felt heavy in your pocket, so you solved that by putting his number into your phone. Just as you were about to put it back into your purse, it buzzed with a call from an unknown number. Fear settled into your gut, and with a grimace, you silenced the call and blocked the number.
Tumblr media
You were late. You were so late it was laughable to even show up at this point. Your shoes tapped against the tile as the numbers on the elevator lit up as it passed each floor. You slipped through the doors as soon as they parted, and with no mind to check in, the receptionist calling your name, you raced towards Steve’s office. You reached his door just as he opened it to step out, and the papers that he was holding scattered to the floor as you collided with him. You hadn’t even realized how fast you’d been running until you were knocked on your ass.
You could hear the heels of the receptionist as she ran over, apologizing to Steve for letting you slip past her, but he waved her off. She reluctantly returned to her desk, and you scrambled to sit up, reaching for everything that had fallen.
“I was beginning to think you’d never show,” Steve joked.
You gave a shaky laugh.
“I uh...I got caught up,” you replied through trembling lips, fingers shaking as you struggled to stack all of his paperwork.
You could feel Steve’s eyes on you, but you avoided his gaze.
“I know I’m late. Our hour is practically over, but I- I just… Um, crap.”
You had dropped the papers all over again, and you both reached for them at the same time. At least, that was what you thought. Steve’s hands covered yours, and you only just realized how badly they were shaking.
“Y/N.”
His voice was soft, exactly what you needed right now, but you couldn’t look him in the eye.
“Y/N, is everything alright?”
Your chest was tight, and you wanted to will your lips to form a yes. You wanted to tell him that everything was fine, but you couldn’t even get the words out. He called your name again, and you suddenly stood, taking the papers with you. You handed them to him as he followed your lead, still avoiding his eye.
“I’m sorry for being late, and I know that you probably have another session-.”
“I don’t,” he interrupted. “Come in.”
You glanced up from beneath your lashes as he opened the door, ushering you inside. You wrapped your arms around yourself as he shut the door behind you.
“Is everything okay?”
You turned your face away from him, unable to keep it from crumbling as you held in a sob.
“Y/N.”
The way he called your name had you freezing in place, a shiver running through you at his firm tone, authority in the one simple word. In a way, it reminded you of Harry, and you looked to him with wide eyes. Seeming to understand what he’d done, Steve sighed before sitting down, making himself appear smaller to show that he wasn’t a threat to you.
“I’m sorry,” he genuinely apologized. “I shouldn’t have spoken to you like that. Please...sit.”
You hesitantly did so and reached out to take the tissue he offered you. You hadn’t even realized that you’d started crying.
“Now… I’m going to ask you again, and I’m begging you to please be honest with me. I’m here to help you in any way I can,” he whispered.
You wiped your face, sinking your teeth into your lip.
“It’s...Harry.”
Steve’s face was pinched with concern.
“What is it? Are you having nightmares again-?”
“No, you don’t understand. He’s calling me,” you confessed.
Steve froze, blinking a few times before his eyes widened, your words finally registering. You sniffed, fighting to hold in a sob.
“It started weeks ago, before we ran into each other that night…”
You didn’t miss the disappointment that flitted over his features, lips pressed together.
“...and I know I should’ve said something then-.”
“You should’ve called me.”
“I know! I know, but… I don’t know. I just wanted to handle this on my own,” you quietly said.
He didn’t respond, and you turned your eyes towards the window.
“Last time...I wasn’t able to get away on my own. I wanted it to be different this time. At first, I simply blocked him but he kept calling and calling from different numbers. Then I got a new phone...and eventually another, but it’s still the same. He keeps finding me,” you tearfully told him. “...and today…”
Your eyes met his, and you were comforted by the concern you saw there.
“Today I was at the police station. That’s why I was late.”
Steve straightened up at this.
“I thought that maybe I could get a restraining order or maybe they could trace the calls to show that it’s him, but the whole visit was useless. They boiled it down to petty relationship drama, and since there’s no record of his violent behavior because I never reported anything…”
You shrugged, scoffing.
“There’s basically nothing they can do. The whole visit was a waste,” you spat.
Steve heaved a sigh, and he slowly reached out towards you, leaning forward.
“I didn’t ask before, but… Is it alright if I hold your hand?”
You nodded. That was what you liked about Steve. He was always asking for your consent with just about everything, even the simplest of things, and it was such a nice contrast to Harry who used to feel like he was entitled to your body. Steve took your hand, throwing you a comforting smile as he eyed you, worried.
“I wish that you had called me,” he said.
You looked down, guilt filling you.
“I could have helped you before it ever got to this point. I have friends on the force, friends in high places who could lock this creep up if you wanted.”
“I feel like an idiot.”
Of course Steve, Dr. Steven Rogers, knew people who could help you. Of course he did! Your stubbornness had gotten you far deeper into this than necessary.
“What have I said about self deprecating language?”
“Sorry,” you murmured.
“You’re not an idiot. Don’t talk about yourself like that. You’re just a woman trying to find her strength again.”
You hesitantly nodded, and he brushed his thumb over the back of your hand.
“I want you to get rid of your phone,” he suggested.
You frowned, and he continued before you could question him.
“I’ll work on getting a new one for you. A secure one under my name.”
You frowned, not liking the idea of being so indebted to him.
“Steve, I don’t know-.”
“It’ll only be temporary. You can use it until I talk to some people and have him properly dealt with.”
Even though you weren’t keen on the idea, you reluctantly agreed.
“...and you have to promise me one thing…”
You eyed him, holding his gaze as you waited for him to continue.
“Promise me that you’ll call me the second he bothers you again,” he proposed.
Accepting the fact that your stubbornness was doing you more harm than good, you nodded. Steve seemed pleased with that, and with one last pat on your hand, he let you go. As he guided you out of your office, your phone in his hand, you felt more hopeful than you had in over a month. You felt so silly for not seeking out his help sooner, and you couldn’t deny the weight that had been lifted from your shoulders as you settled into your car.
True to his word, at your next session, Steve presented you with a new phone. It had all of your important contacts with Steve being at the top of the list. Embarrassment had flooded you as you thanked him with tears in your eyes. The week without your phone had been the most peace you’d had in a while, and you finally got some much needed rest.
“You haven’t heard anything from him, have you?” he’d asked you.
“No,” you answered, shaking your head. “Not a peep.”
He threw you that same smile that always brought you comfort.
“Good. Even if you never do, you’re always free to call me,” he’d reminded you.
Finally deciding to let your stubbornness go, you did. Talking to Steve outside of your sessions was easier than you thought it’d be. It was like talking to a friend. Sometimes you’d meet up at that same coffee shop not too far from his office, and other times you’d be putting a quick meal together while he was on the other line, listening to you ramble. You soon realized that it wasn’t just his profession that made him that way, but Steve truly was an unbiased listener. He never judged you for any steps back in your progress nor for any of your more self deprecating thoughts.
Best of all, you hadn’t heard anything more from Harry.
Not until he knocked on your door one night.
It was late when you’d heard the pounding on the wood, and having been watching tv in your room, you wondered if you imagined it. It was only moments later that you’d heard it again. Your eyes had widened, sitting up in alarm. No one knew you lived here. Not even your mailman. All of your mail collected at a Post Office box before you eventually went to pick it up. You stood, standing in your room, trembling in fear before a knock on your bedroom window had you screaming.
You didn’t hesitate to call the police, and it took longer than you liked for them to arrive. All the while, you dealt with knocking and pounding on your window and door. Back and forth, it alternated with minutes in between before stopping altogether when the sound of sirens could be heard. Unsurprisingly, and frustratingly, the police didn’t find anyone.
“Look, we’ll get this report down to the station,” the brunette had told you, not looking concerned in the least.
Frustration filled you, and you shuffled on your feet.
“Can’t you...idk, have someone stay here? Not even the whole night but just a few hours in case they come back?”
The tall man sighed, and you glanced at his badge. Officer Barnes, you noted.
“With all due respect mam, we can’t just have one of our officers sitting in your yard because someone knocked on your door-.”
“I told you-!”
“I know, I know. The windows too,” he said, sounding exasperated, and your frown deepened. “The best we can do is get this down to the station. You’re more than welcome to call us again should anyone come back.”
You crossed your arms over your chest as they left, finding no relief. You swallowed as you thought about Steve. You didn’t want to, but Harry had found you, tormenting you by knocking on your house in the dead of night. This was exactly the reason Steve had given you his number. Swallowing down your stubbornness, and with a deep breath, you called him.
He didn’t sound like he was asleep, and for that you were grateful. You would’ve kicked yourself if you had woken him up. Finally getting out why you’d called him was an awkward affair, stumbling over your words, and you felt even worse as he agreed to come over. There was no hesitation, and you couldn’t help but feel as if you were taking advantage of Steve’s generosity.
You mumbled out your address, surprised to realize how relieved you were. You couldn’t remember the last time you had trusted a man this much. Harry had made you so paranoid, but you supposed that was what therapy was for. This was why you had all those sessions with Steve. To learn to heal and to trust again.
You opened the door with a small smile when he finally pulled into your yard. He was dressed comfortably, and you felt much better about your own ratty t-shirt and leggings, but his casual attire made him no less striking.
“Thank you,” you breathed as he stepped inside.
“I was up going over paperwork when you called. I’m glad you did,” he told you.
You leaned against the door as you closed it, rubbing your arms.
“I didn’t know if I should. It’s just… He was here, Steve. Knocking on my door and window like something out of a horror movie, and the police treated it like it was nothing,” you complained.
Steve tilted his head at you with a sad smile.
“First thing in the morning, I’m going to make some more calls. Since he’s in town, it should be easy to have him put away. At the very least, a restraining order.”
Relief and hope filled you as you brushed past him.
“I really can’t thank you enough for coming over. I promise I won’t keep you long, just until I feel I can be ok being alone,” you said over your shoulder.
He followed you into the kitchen.
“Can I get you anything to drink? Eat? It’s the least I can do.”
“Some wine might be nice. You might want to pour yourself a glass too,” he suggested.
You chuckled, and he joined you, but you agreed with him nonetheless. You poured a glass for both of you, and you leaned against the counter with a sigh.
“I just don’t understand why he can’t leave me alone. Hasn’t he put me through enough?”
Steve hummed.
“From what you’ve told me, he strikes me as a narcissist. I’d bet that he doesn’t want you to move on,” he mused.
“Maybe,” you distractedly replied as you heard your phone ring. “I’ll be right back. Let me grab that super quick, it might be Nakia.”
Your phone was in your room, but by the time you reached it, it had stopped ringing. Sure enough, it was a missed call from your best friend, and you brought your phone with you to the kitchen, determined to call her back. Steve’s eyes were fond when you returned, and you shrugged.
“I need to call her back. I’ll only be a moment,” you said, swiping your glass.
“Take all the time you need.”
You made your way to the living room, taking your place on the couch as you called her back. She answered almost immediately.
“Hey, what’s up?”
She greeted you with a soft exhale.
“Uh… Harry’s...dead.”
You froze at her words, pulling the glass away from your lips. You blinked a few times, trying to come to terms with what she’d said.
“...what?”
“I just found out. I honestly didn’t know how you’d take the news, but I thought you should know.”
She was right. You yourself didn’t even know how you felt about this news. You had loved this man at one point...but he was also your abuser. This was good news...right?
“How?” you finally asked her.
She sighed.
“Apparently, he’d been missing for months-.”
“Months?”
“Yeah,” she quietly replied. “They found and identified his body today. I just saw it on the news.”
Your stomach twisted as the truth, and the meaning behind it, sank in. Just because Harry had been missing for months, it didn’t mean that he’d been dead for months. It very well could have been him harassing you like you believed. But...if they’d found and identified his body today, then there was no way it was him at your house tonight.
“Thank you,” you eventually said. “Um… I’m glad you told me.”
“Are you alright?”
“Yeah, I’ll be okay,” you honestly replied. “I’m just a little unsure of how I feel about all of this, but I’ll call you tomorrow when I’ve slept on it.”
“Alright. Be safe.”
You said your goodbyes and returned to the kitchen with an empty glass.
“Everything okay?” Steve questioned.
Your face must have been an open book.
“Harry’s dead,” you scoffed, blinking as you still fought to process this.
Steve didn’t respond, and just like one of your sessions, he seemed to be waiting for you to continue.
“Apparently he’d been missing for months and they just identified his body today. There’s no way it could have been him knocking on my door tonight, and now...now I’m even more scared than I was before,” you confessed. “God, I can’t even fully come to terms with my feelings on this because I’m realizing that Harry might not have been the only thing I should’ve been afraid of.”
“Hey,” Steve soothingly said, nearing you. “Are you sure it wasn’t someone who got lost? Maybe they had the wrong house?”
You thought about it before shaking your head.
“No, it definitely didn’t seem like that. Oh my God,” you cried, letting your head fall into your hands.
Steve pulled you into his arms, startling you, but you eventually relaxed, the wine settling into your system nicely.
“It’s going to be alright-.”
“What if it isn’t? Because I’m the idiot who thought that Harry was the only possible danger out there, I’ve attracted another without even realizing it.”
“Hey, hey,” he soothed. “Maybe it was nothing, and maybe it was more. Either way, I’m only a phone call away. Say the word, and I’ll have an officer living in your yard if need be.”
You chuckled at that, and nodded.
“Thank you,” you said, looking at him. “I-.”
You swallowed your words when his lips met yours, soft and demanding as they moved against your own. You were stunned, and it took you a moment to realize just what was happening before you pulled away. You stared at Steve with wide eyes, hesitantly reaching up to touch your lips as you took a step back.
“Steve…”
“You have no idea how long I’ve wanted to do that,” he breathed.
Your lips parted, a soft gasp escaping you at both his words and the fire in his gaze. It was so sudden and great that it froze you.
“Steve, I think… I think you should go,” you whispered, almost in disbelief.
He frowned at you, tilting his head just a tad as he folded his arms over his chest.
“Go? Why would I do that when you’re not feeling well?”
You opened your mouth to repeat yourself, even demand to know what he meant, but a sudden wave of nausea hit you, head feeling fuzzy. Steve caught you just as you stumbled, and you frowned, fighting to get out of his arms.
“What…?”
“You seemed really tense. I thought you could use something to take the edge off…”
You stared at him in disbelief, attempting to blink away the stars in your vision. Your legs felt like they were made of Jell-O as Steve guided you towards the living room. He deposited you on the couch, and you could hardly do anything as he laid you down, sitting beside you. His blue eyes, normally so soft and comforting, were dark with a longing you had never seen before.
“You were like a wounded little lamb when you first came to me,” he murmured, brushing his thumb over your lip. “So lost...broken… It’s because of me that you’re even halfway back together again.”
His hands moved to slowly undress you, taking his time, and your hands might as well had been air as you tried to stop him. You shuddered as the cool air in the house hit you, nipples pebbling, even more so when Steve brushed his fingers over them.
“I wanted to wrap you in my arms during that first session. Drag you back as you tried to leave, show you how a woman should be touched by a man.”
You were in a state of shock, disbelief coursing through you as you watched Steve undress. Even at his age, the man was a wall of muscle, thick bands making you swallow in fear as you hopelessly tried to tell yourself that this was a dream.
“Steve,” you whispered.
“I had to be patient. I didn’t want to scare you off, push you into the arms of another dangerous man. I had to help you heal before showing the kind of man I can be for you,” he told you, fingers on your face as he neared you again.
Your whole body felt weighed down, and you couldn’t stop your tears even if you wanted to. Your touch was light as you pressed your hands to his chest, feeling like you were going to be sick as he settled over you.
“Harry is gone. He can’t hurt you anymore, and I’m going to make sure no one ever hurts you again.”
The irony was not lost on you, but the way he said that struck something in you, and your mind traveled to the unthinkable. You didn’t get the chance to think about it some more before Steve was forcing himself inside of you. A choking noise escaped you as he filled you to the hilt, your legs spread wide to accommodate his frame. Steve released a shuddering breath, breathing through his nose, body trembling as he delighted in the feel of you wrapped around him.
It was amazing that while all of your senses felt dulled, you could feel his pulsing member inside of you so well. He surrounded you, bulky frame caging you in, and you felt like you would pass out from suffocation. Steve sighed just before his lips met yours, and your stomach clenched as he moved within you. A broken moan slipped out against your will, and Steve groaned at the sound.
“I’ll show you pleasure that you’ve never known, touch you in ways you never felt. I know how to make you happy,” he purred, his pace languid as he thrust in and out of you.
You turned your head away, the furniture of your living room blurring together from whatever he’d slipped into your drink.
“I know your deepest desires and your deepest fears. I know you better than anyone else out there…”
You hated that in a way, Steve was right. You’d bared yourself to him under the guise of trust and healing. He really did know all there was to know about you, and you hated yourself for it. You hated him for hiding his intentions so well, for taking advantage of your vulnerability and trauma. He tutted as you started to squirm beneath him.
“After all I’ve done for you...in all the ways I’ve helped you, the least you could do is give yourself to me. I deserve to reap the benefits of my efforts-.”
You gasped beneath him, legs kicking around him, but he only pressed himself more firmly against you.
“...I’ve gone out of my way to make sure you were safe, to protect you so that no more threats remained to you nor our relationship.”
“You’re crazy-.”
You cut yourself off with a yelp as he nipped at your neck, jerking in his hold as he continued to snap his hips into yours. His hands were gentle on you, a contrast to how he fucked you, his pace increasing with every passing minute. Despite the fact that you could hardly move, he wrapped his arms around you, holding you in place as the sound of your coupling filled the room, your core now wet and slick from his ministrations.
Steve seemed intoxicated, blissfully immersed in the feel of you and how you clung to him. His low groans and moans filled your ear, and you could do nothing as he covered your lips again, tongue tasting you, moaning at the taste of wine that still remained.
“My touch will never cause you harm, bringing you nothing but pleasure for the rest of our lives.”

Can you write a tsukishima kei X reader where they both tease eachother but don't realise that they have feelings for eachother. Then tsukishima says something really offensive to reader and she gets really upsets and ignores him, he then realizes his feelings for her?
I struggled writing this but it was actually quite fun! Thank you for the request.
Tumblr media
Teasing was something fun. The tumbling words were light and playful, hinting at something more but never letting their secrets free.
You lived for the flash of annoyance in Tsukishima’s hazel eyes; a small smirk always betraying that he enjoyed the banter. Whether you were speaking to him or commenting loud enough to draw his attention, he would turn to you fully and respond in kind. Though his words dripped in sarcasm, you never took them personally.
Perhaps you should have. Your comments never held any malice and you always strayed away from actual insults.
Tsukishima didn’t quite understand that part of your game.
Some of the things that he said stung. In those times, you’d just flip him off and pretend to go about your day without a second thought. But they did bother you.
Enough to find you standing in front of your mirror and glaring at your reflection as though it could give you the answers. Everything about your relationship with Tsukishima was frivolous. You had never held a real conversation. He was just a stupidly confident man with a sharp tongue and honeyed hair. His glasses were ridiculous, his taste in music was poor, and his eyes were the type of golden brown that snatched your breath from your lungs.
You groaned and turned away from your reflection.
Why did you have to fall for him?
Was it because of his voice and the soft edge that lay beneath its harsh words? Perhaps the gentleness of his movements had drawn your attention. He never looked out of place and you envied him that.
You contemplated telling him initially but decided against it. Getting a better feel of his attitude towards you would help before any misguided confessions slipped out.
That lasted until the next day.
“I know I shouldn’t be expecting anything intelligent to come from you but think things through a little more before you speak.”
Tsukishima glanced down at you as he passed, the hint of a smile on his lips. The insult wasn’t meant. He had often mocked your intelligence before to little response – after all, he knew that you didn’t get easily offended.
This time though, you didn’t immediately respond and when you did, it was just a slight jab about something trivial.
He turned around to look back at you but you had hurried off somewhere.
Shrugging that off, he continued on his day until the next time he saw you. When he did, he waited for the retaliation.
And waited.
And waited.
He was so focused on listening out for your snide comment that he didn’t even pay attention to his other conversation. Yamaguchi, thankfully, didn’t need an active participant in his discussion. He only seemed minorly confused by Tsukishima’s confusion before continuing.
Once you’d left, he sighed and said, “Maybe it’s been a bad day.”
Tsukishima glanced over his shoulder to confirm you hadn’t walked back in. “I have no idea what you’re talking about.”
“You didn’t, like, call her a bitch, right?”
“What? Obviously not.”
Yamaguchi shrugged. “Then don’t worry so much about it. She’ll be back to normal soon.”
Tsukishima scoffed, electing to pretend the conversation was unimportant. He changed the topic onto something that was more in his area of expertise but his thoughts kept hanging on you. It irritated him to no end and he spent the rest of the day snapping a little too harshly at everybody.
The next day went no better.
He waited to hear your voice, having never realised before how well he knew it. It was something missing from his day and he didn’t even know why.
“It’s not my fault if she’s going to be sensitive about stupid stuff,” he stated when Yamaguchi next commented about your unusual silent treatment.
“Nope. Some people are just soft.”
“You’re one of those people,” Tsukishima had retorted. He meant it mockingly though any kind of rudeness had little effect on his best friend. It was part of who he was… he had really believed you understood that.
Yamaguchi tried to move on but Tsukishima continued with his complaints.
“Why would she just suddenly start taking offense to things?”
“Maybe you hit a nerve.”
“How was I meant to know she was touchy about her intelligence? Anyway, it was days ago. She should be over it by now.”
“If it’s bothering you that much, just say sorry.”
“It’s not bothering me.”
He wasn’t stupid – of course, it was – but he was hardly about to tell somebody that. You were nobody to him and your lack of comments was an absolute relief. In fact, he was rather happy that you had decided to finally take the hint.
A whole month passed and he stopped waiting to hear your voice. His stubbornness kept any apology away from you, even though one accidental meetup in the hall had nearly drawn one out. It was honestly ridiculous, he had nothing to apologise about.
He could apologise just to have you speak to him again… Tsukishima quickly chased away that traitorous thought. It was rare for him to apologise for things that actually required it, let alone for nonsense like this. A simple fact that everybody he complained to seemed to directly refute.
Just apologise. Just apologise. Like he cared enough to do so.
It took him another two months to realise why he minded so much. Why he was still hung up on you despite your supposed non-importance.
He had been walking with Yamaguchi when they passed a flower store, the place having a special on roses for your loved ones. Yamaguchi had decided to get some and for a split second, Tsukishima had touched the petals and considered buying some for you.
He pulled his hand away as though it had been burned.
“Normally you get fifteen for a situation like this.”
He scoffed at Yamaguchi. “You really need to deal with your obsession about this woman.”
Tsukishima didn’t buy fifteen roses but he realised then what it was about you that bothered him so. And he absolutely hated the conclusion that he came to.
He stepped in front of you the next day, drawing your attention to him (though he didn’t know that it rarely left). “Why are you ignoring me?” he asked.
“I’m not?” It sounded like a question, even to you.
Tsukishima wasn’t going to argue with you about it. He just raised an eyebrow and waited for you to sigh and continue.
“I’m just… I…”
“Wow that explains it very well.”
You narrowed your eyes at him. “Would it kill you to say something nice?”
“Since when have we ever been nice to each other?” he asked.
Of course you didn’t have an answer for that. You had never been ‘nice’ to each other – at least not in the way most people would consider nice. But the thing was, those moments still came to your memory fondly.
“You know, I always made sure never to actually insult you,” you said.
“I never actually insulted you.”
“Yes, you did,” you pointed out. “You’re constantly pointing out how stupid I am or how uncoordinated I am or whatever!”
“It’s not like I meant them.”
That tripped you up a little. Tsukishima’s height had you looking up at him, his expression entirely unchanged. Why would he have said things that weren’t true? It wasn’t like you had even initiated this entire taunt exchange way back when you had first met. Sure, you had responded but it was his comment on your hair that had gotten to you.
“You didn’t… what?”
Tsukishima stared at you like you were stupid. “It’s not my fault if you choose to take things personally but get over it a bit quicker, would you?”
It wasn’t an apology, not by a long shot, but it was enough to explain something that you couldn’t quite pinpoint yourself. Tsukishima wanted to talk to you. Even if he thought you were being childish, his main problem lay in your sudden silent treatment.
“We’re not friends,” you said.
“No.”
“So why do you care if we’re talking or not?”
He shrugged. “I don’t.”
He did. Of course he did. Part of him wanted to say that but his pride just wouldn’t allow it. Thankfully, the message seemed to get through to you regardless.
“Do you want to go out for lunch?” you offered.
“Why would I ever want to do that?”
You smiled, noticing the small smirk’s appearance on his face. “Tomorrow. At 12.”
“Fine.”
Tsukishima left you standing there, refusing to glance back even if he wanted to. He told himself it was because he didn’t care and it had nothing to do with the uncharacteristic smile on his face.

When you were a kid, you found yourself always being attracted to magic. Something about it makes you think that it’s not all illusions, that a small fraction of it might actually be true. You went to bookstores spending your whole day looking for books that talked about magic. One morning as you were about to walk in the dining room to eat breakfast, you heard your mom and dad talking about magic. It was totally bizarre hearing them talk about it as they passed the topic like a child’s play. You decided to conceal your presence and listen in. “She’s starting to be more curious about magic Dave, you can’t hide it from her any longer” you heard your mother say. Your father defeatedly replied, “Well then I guess it is time to tell her”. Your father called you up and you stared at them. “Honey come and sit, your father has a lot to tell you” your mother gestured to the seat in the middle of the table. You take your seat and your father begins talking. “Honey, we are sorcerers, magicians, if that’s what you’d like to call it.” You jumped out of your seat with joy “I knew it! That’s the reason why I am so interested in magic!” You were disturbed from your little party when your mother said “we are bringing you to Becker Street, you will be trained by Doctor Stephen Strange ''. You packed your clothes immediately and went to Dr. Strange where you got trained.
Months after training, your control over your power grew. You went out to the training grounds when you saw a man dressed in a jacket, in jeans with long blonde hair angrily talking to Strange. You walk over when he exclaims “where is my brother?”. In a surprised motion he told you to scoot over and opened a portal where a man in black came falling. “ I have been falling! for 30 minutes!” the man angrily says emphasising the last few words. Standing up he faced you “is this y/n?” he goes nearer to you, examining each feature of your pale and soft face. “How does he know my name?” you question Strange with a demanding voice. “I’m sorry where are my manners, Y/n, this is Loki”, he gestures to the man fully dressed in black. “And this is Thor,” he says, gesturing to the man in jeans and jacket. Not caring about them, you question him further, “what are they doing here?”. Loki looks at you and says”we’re here for you darling.” Inhaling deeply Doctor Strange starts speaking “ y/n, they are from the avengers, now that you have full control over your power, you should consider joining them.” You stared at him confused “what is this gonna do for me?” “It can help you grow y/n, I've taught you all the things I have learned.” You sighed obviously defeated “Fine, but it’s only just because you told me to”. You grabbed your suitcase and packed your clothes. “Goodbye y/n i’ll be sure to check up on you” Strange hugs you and you proceed to enter the portal along with Loki and Thor.
You arrive in front of a room with a couple of people in it. You see two redheads, who immediately caught your attention but you dismissed it as soon as it entered your mind. You follow Loki and Thor and you walk towards the huddle of people sitting. “Hi you’re y/n?” the redhead says. Uncomfortable with all the attention that you received you replied “um, yeah hi, i’m y/n”. Another man entered the room with a big grin saying “Hi! Look who’s finally here, I'm Sam!” The rest of the team introduced themselves and you hung out with them for the whole day getting to know each other while exchanging a few laughs within each other. While talking to the team you could feel the intense stares of the two redheads. If looks could burn, it was guaranteed the back of your head would’ve been burned off. You try to shake it away by going to the bar when Natasha comes near you and whispers “you could feel it can’t you?” the way she whispered made you feel shivers running down your spine. Stuttering you replied back “wha-what do you mean?” With a chuckle “stop acting innocent kitten i know you can feel it”. With that she left you alone. You drank your drink and went back to your seat. You could almost swear you could see the room spinning so you excused yourself. “Wait!” you heard a rush exclaim and you turned back to see who it was and it was Wanda. “I’ll lead you to your room, you seem like you’re really drunk”. You grin widely and say “well I don’t normally drink like this, it’s a surprise I even lasted this long”. You both laughed and she laid you on your bed and said “y/n if you need me, my room is right next to yours goodnight!” You didn’t get the chance to respond when your eyes closed and you drift away to a dreamless sleep.
★☆★☆
You wake up the next day with a very terrible hangover. You go down and you see Wanda cooking. “Good morning y/n, help yourself” she hands you a plate filled with food. Grateful that you were given some food, you sat down and started to eat right away. “Hey! slow down you might choke right there” she says while laughing. You abruptly stopped laughing when Natasha entered, she looked at you and Wanda and you could feel a pang of guilt as she looked at you with sadness. “Hey Nat, want some food?” you offered hoping she’d take up on your offer. Your kind smile turned into a frown when she declined your offer, “No thanks” she said and left. “Seems like someone woke up on the wrong side of the bed today” Tony stated as he entered the room grabbing a glass of water. “That’s goodluck to you y/n you’re training with her today”. You were caught off guard and began coughing, “I'm sorry what? training?”Steve enters the room and answers “yes now go get ready, you’re in for a tough ride”. You rushed to your room and changed into your workout clothes. Grabbing your water bottle you head to the training room and you see Natasha warming up. “Hey” you approach her while putting your water bottle on the table. “Come on and warmup” she replied, not even glancing at you. Confused as to why she was acting like this, you confront her “Hey, what’s wrong?”. “Nothing, just focus on warming up, we're starting soon” she stands up and walks away. Just like she requested, you went back to warming up.
After your warm up, she called you to start your training. You stood in front of her but you couldn’t focus as she was out of her catsuit and she was only wearing a sports bra and leggings, and everytime she breathed her firm breasts hung up and down as well. You didn't notice you we're staring until Nat called you out. “see something you like? come on focus, my eyes are here not down there.” she said with a smirk. You immediately avert your eyes to her face. Stammering you say “im- i’m sorry I didn’t mean to stare”. She laughed, “I'm sure you didn’t” she replied sarcastically. Catching you off guard she wiped her feet under yours causing you to fall flat on your butt with a loud “thwack”. “That’s for staring at my breasts too long” Nat immediately extended her hand to help you up but you didn't accept it you had other plans in mind. You stood up abruptly using your hands and started punching in a non rhythmic pattern. She immediately noticed your pattern and in no time was starting to dodge your punches very easily. She scoffed at your petty attempt and started throwing punches as well. Thankfully you were able to dodge most of her punches, when you didn’t it would end up hitting you harshly square in the face. She gave you no time to recover so all you could do was back up and dodge. You didn’t notice that you were near the wall until you felt it hit your back. Natasha gasped for breath and she was inexplicably close. You could feel her breathing near your neck. She took your hands and pinned them to the wall while roughly kissing your neck. You couldn’t stifle a low moan coming out from your lips. You could feel her smirking to your neck, she separated her lips and looked at you while saying “тебе это нравится, не так ли, котенок” (you like that don’t you kitten?). Unable to speak, you nodded frantically. You could feel a pool of wetness and you tried to hide it by crossing your legs but Natasha swiped her finger over your clothed heat and you couldn't stop but let out a small whimper. She pulled away before things could get more messy than it already is. You let out a small cry of desperation and look at her with plain lust filling your mind. “What?” she questioned you. Running off while grabbing your water you shouted “no , nothing absolutely nothing”
Panting, you opened the door to your room. You collapsed to your bed thinking of how you let Natasha easily get to you and how your core immediately reacted to her. You were interrupted from your thoughts when a knock came to your room, so you quickly threw a blanket over your body. “Come in,” you replied. You saw Wanda with her nose all scrunched up. “We’ve got a mission, it’s Hydra”. Your eyes softened as you recalled what they had done to her. “Suit up and head to the quinjet we’re going in 15” With that she left you. You couldn’t get your mind wrapped around that you had a mission- your mind was filled with lust from the previous incident with Natasha. Without thinking of the consequences, you snaked your hands to your needy core and laughed at how wet it is. Not wasting any time, you inserted your finger to your pussy and gasped at how full you felt. You pinched your nipple and you curled your fingers until you felt your orgasm coming. You released a loud gasp before cumming. You didn’t realize that Wanda didn’t actually walk away from your door and she heard what you had been doing. “What a naughty girl” she walked away smirking to herself.
You got up and wiped yourself up, changed into your suit and went to the quinjet. “I will check the perimeters and Steve and Natasha will stay on ground, while Wanda and Y/n will go in and check for any agents we can question and any casualties.” Tony said. You arrive at the Hydra base and you get off the Quinjet. “Y/n follow my lead I know where to go” you hear Wanda say in a hushed voice. You followed her lead and you went into an underground room when you heard a bunch of footsteps creeping up on you. You turn around and you see an agent with a gun aiming it at Wanda. “Wanda!” You push her to the side and you end up taking the bullet while also using your powers to cast the agent down on the floor. Crouching near your body, Wanda carefully picked you up and ran towards Tony and the others. “Y/n is down she needs help” Wanda said while panting. “Take her to the quinjet we will be right at your back” Natasha replied not taking her focus away from the Hydra Agents she was combating at the moment. Wanda ran towards the quinjet carrying you carefully. You and the others returned to the tower and they brought you to medbay. Bruce immediately checked your wound. “How is she?” Natasha and Wanda asked in sync. “Luckily it’s only a small wound, she’d be up in about 30 minutes, I suggest she train lightly in about 2 hours.” Bruce replied while looking at his watch. After resting you got up and went to your room preparing for light training. You trained with Natasha but she only made you sit for almost the entire duration of training. You could only get a few punches in ”You should take a shower and rest, you're stinky” Natasha told you while laughing. Snickering you replied “shut up Romanoff you’re way stinkier than me” you tease her while making your way out of the gym. While making your way to your room you start wondering where Wanda was, as you had seen her last in medbay. You arrived at your room and prepared your clothes and stripped out your sweaty gym clothes. You took your towel and entered your bathroom when you saw Wanda in your bathtub looking at you smirking. What surprised you was that she was naked- in front of you. You were disturbed from your thoughts when she slowly approached you and you stared at her perfectly shaped breasts hanging freely with her fully erect nipple. “Wha-what are you doing? You asked her as she began closing in on you” You could feel your pussy aching, desperately begging to be touched.
“What do you think?” she kissed your neck forcing a sweet moan to come out from your lips. “You like that hmm?” she asked, her voice hoarse from the hotness pooling in her legs. You could only nod in response. “I asked you a question use your big girl words малютка(baby)” she snarled at you harshly. “Yes I- i love it mommy” you couldn’t stop yourself from calling her mommy and you could feel her smirk against your neck. You started to grind your mound against her legs, desperate for release. You drag her hand towards your pussy, you had to let her know how much you craved her touch. “Jesus Christ” she breathed out. “You’re this wet and I barely even touched you” she mocked you. She broke the contact and you let out a desperate cry. “Patience malysh we’ve got a lot of time to ourselves” she said gesturing to the bed. “Bed. Now” she demanded.
You decided to play with fire and crossed your arms “No.” You see her narrow her eyes at you “Y/n. Bed.Now” you smirked more “make me” She carried you to the bed and laid you down “you’re gonna regret being such a brat” You couldn’t contain an excited wail of what she had planned for you. She placed her hands at your hips and slowly kissed your neck down to your breasts. Her lips quickly wrapped around your needy nipple and a moan escaped from your mouth. “Please mommy, I won’t be a brat ever again just please” you begged. “Hmm? what was that? use your words. I don’t know what you want kitten”. She went back to teasing you, getting dangerously close to your pussy. Bucking your hips, you begged “Please mommy, please, please fuck me.”
She rolled her tongue directly at your pussy and you thought you were going to cum right there and then. She circled her tongue and sucked your clit making you arch your back from the intense pleasure you were feeling. She applied more pressure making you moan out loud grabbing her hair towards your pussy urging her to go harder. You gasped as you felt two fingers enter your pussy, you felt so full. “Just like that o-oh please” you begged. You could almost visualize her smirk when she replied “do you want me to go deeper kitten?” You were so deep into the pleasure that you couldn’t form words properly and nodded instead but unfortunately it wasn’t enough for her. “I want to hear you beg baby.” Stuttering you forced yourself to beg “mommy pl-, please go deeper, please” you let out a long moan when she started to go deeper. “Just like that please just like that” you chanted. A few more thrusts you felt your orgasm nearing and you tried so hard not to cum, you didn’t want to show her that you couldn’t last any longer. “I can feel you trying not to cum kitten, let go” she whispered. That command was enough to let go and soon enough your hips were bucking up and down. That was definitely the most intense orgasm you felt throughout your entire life. You slowly started going down from your high when Wanda started to speed up her movements again, this time, adding a third finger. She combined it with flattening her tongue to your clit and flicking through it. She curled her fingers and that sent you over the edge, this time, screaming her name out loud. She lapped your juices and kissed you. “You taste so good.”
“Sit on my face” you grasp her smooth and milky legs guiding her onto your face. You could sense how eager she is when she immediately propped herself on top of you. You could smell her arousal and you started to tease her by giving slow and wet kisses to the sides of her legs, inching closer and closer to where she truly needed you. “Y/n please stop teasing” wanda slowly croaks out. “Hmm, what was that? What do you need?” you say, making her whine. “Please y/n please, just fuck me right now” she said while toying with her nipples” Satisfied that you successfully made Wanda beg, you began to roll your tongue over to Wanda’s pussy. Arching her back, a throaty moan falls from Wanda’s sweet lips which makes you groan sending jolts towards Wanda’s heat. “Oh my god” wanda exclaims with her eyes rolling back to her head. You groan once more when you finally inserted two fingers just to see how easily it slipped in due to how wet she is. You could feel Wanda tensing around your fingers as you pumped harder and harder aiming to hit her sweet spot. She began to grasp your hair, chanting your name like a prayer. “Y/n.y/n.y/n.” You take it as a sign of her being close, you add another finger into her while pumping twice as hard. She was clenching your fingers, you could tell she was really close. You placed your mouth on her clit, torturing the nub and curling your fingers hitting the spot you've been aiming at perfectly. “Ahhh y/n, fuckk” Wanda moans at the intense pleasure you were giving her. You started to pump slower and slower letting Wanda ride her high. Panting, she laid down beside you “i haven’t cum hard like that” she looked at you smiling. You swell with pride at the confession she gave you. You give her a peck while grabbing the sheets to cover yourselves up.

Bright Things- Hoseok
(A/N: A little bit of a longer form of content with my one true love Hoseok to switch things up. Listen to Whisper by Park Ji-Woo while you read for the full effect. Feedback is appreciated.)
masterlist.
It was a big night for you.
Your final thesis project, the collection of art you had been working on the entirety of your senior year in grad school was finally out there for people to see. Hung up in a well lit art studio surrounded by your peers' art felt right- like a shiny red bow on the end of your schooling.
You had no idea what came next, there were a couple options on the table as far as a job went, but you were determined to soak in this moment. Your parents had already visited and gone home for the night, your professors had given their feedback and made their rounds around the exhibition- now all that was left was for you to do the same.
By the time you were back to yours, there was a good number of people admiring your art. One person in particular seemed stuck on what you'd say was your very favorite piece.
Bright, colorful, and loud- the piece had given you the most grief out of all of them. It had a deep meaning, not one you cared to share with others. You were a little notorious for having deceptively psychedelic art. While it seemed bright and sunny to others, the ultimate message was about being lonely.
Which you were; Lonely.
You stood by the man tilting his head to one side, dressed in all black with a long coat thrown over his shoulders. He was pretty incognito, a hat pulled low on his head. He shifted his gaze towards you briefly, turning back towards the large painting, "It's so sad."
"What? The painting?" You laughed, "How? It's as if a rainbow threw up on it."
He hummed, shrugging slightly, "Bright things can be sad, too."
You looked at him closer, admiring the straight bridge of his nose and his slightly wide set eyes. He was handsome, his lips were almost heart shaped as he sent a small smile your way.
"Sorry, I guess that's wrong, huh? I'm not an artist, clearly. I'm a dance major but I have a friend in the sculpture program." He laughed, "I seem to have lost him, though."
That's when it dawned on you that you did indeed know this man- Jung Hoseok. He was a bit notorious around your school for a couple different reasons. You should've known it was him instantly, all anyone ever talked about was how perfect he looked.
"That's okay. I'll keep you company," You said quietly, sending him a small smile, "I've always been curious about you anyway."
"Me? You know me?" He said, caught off guard.
You smirked and shrugged, feeling particularly bold, "I know of you. About the way you dance...among other things. I think there was a story about a very expensive art piece and a pool involved?
It was his turn to smirk, melting slightly where he stood. Talking to him was like dancing in itself, a balancing act with the power between the two of you shifting constantly, "That just happens to be the worst rumor about me out there, great. So if you've heard everything about me, why bother humoring me now? What's there left to be curious about?"
You sighed, looking around the room vaguely, "You looked at a rainbow and called it sad. Call it boredom, maybe I just want to see if the rumors are true, or it might be genuine intrigue. Wanna stick around to find out?"
He looked slightly surprised but nodded eagerly, letting you lead him around your other pieces.
"What do you think about this one?" You asked simply, neglecting to mention that you were the creator.
So the two of you went on that way, exchanging thoughts and comments on art around you. At some point you flittered closer to him and he responded by offering an arm, letting you slip yours through his comfortably. You didn't even tell him your name, nervous that whatever spell you two were under would break.
"Okay, this one is my favorite," He decided, staring at what could only be described as your most erotic piece. You made it after you dumped your ex-boyfriend, using it as an alternative to texting him to hook up one night. The image wasn't really about him, no, it was about you. About your tendency to mistake physical chemistry for intellectual. You had printed your body on a giant canvas, super layering strokes of paint and textured medium to cover the most important parts that would clue anyone into the fact that it's your literal naked form.
"Whoever that is, she's hot." he mumbled, making you stifle a smile.
"Oh, hey! Hoseok, I've been looking for you!"
You raised your eyebrows as the boy who's arm you were borrowing, watching him light up in recognition.
"This is the friend I mentioned, Taehyung this is..." Hoseok smiled, gesturing between you and his friend, "I've just realized I haven't even asked for your name."
You smile and told him, watching his eyes widen dramatically and whirl towards the art piece in front of him, zeroing in on the small plaque next to it with your name printed on it. You laughed, admiring the way all of his thoughts could be read so clearly on his face.
"Wow, you make amazing art," His friend, Taehyung, commented, reaching out a hand for you to shake. You slid yours out from where it was wrapped Hoseok's arm and took it, bowing slightly in thanks. "Unfortunately, we have to get going pretty soon if we're going to meet up with the others, Hoseok."
He looked stuck between you, still reeling from realizing who he had been talking to all night. You felt a little bad, in all honesty. Maybe you should've clued him in sooner.
"Oh, that's alright. Thanks for keeping me company, I'm glad you two enjoyed the art." You said quietly, ready to walk away from the two of them.
You didn't get far, Hoseok catching you by the elbow and standing in front of you with a wide look in his eye, "Wait, what you said earlier, about being curious. I know you probably already have an opinion about me but, I-I'd like to see you again. Can I see you again?"
You smiled easily, wanting to say yes really badly. But you knew him, he didn't date. If he wanted to see you again, he'd have to prove it.
"Ask me out when you know my worst rumor too," You said quickly, taking a couple steps backwards, "You're right by the way- about bright things."
You walked away hoping you hadn't just made a huge mistake, also that he realized that your phone number was on the business cards you had left at the front of the exhibit.
Thankfully, he didn't make you wait too long and called two days later with the first of a long list of potential rumors he'd work his way through to date you.

Steve Rogers x Reader
Tumblr media
(Word Count: 1.7k)
It was dark, but you knew movement on your property when you saw it.
Your grip on your gun tightened as you stared into the black abyss in front of you. The sound of footsteps crunching across your grass was off—different pairs of feet hitting the ground at different times. You counted more than three.
The gun wasn’t ideal. It was too much of a spectacle for the occasion. You pulled a knife out of its sheath, and sliced it through the air. You stuffed the gun into the waistband of your shorts, and crouched down. Thankfully, the intruders were too far to hear the slight groan of the floorboards under your bare feet. But they were too close for your liking.
In a strange stroke of fate, one of them moved recklessly, sprinting towards your front porch. You sprung into action, launching at them from the shadows.
You sliced a nice sized gash on the right leg. The pain caused an audible male groan, causing him to falter long enough to take advantage and place a knife to the man’s throat.
He stilled at the cold metal on his carotid.
“Y’all are either stupid, arrogant, or desperate to come here!” You called out. Your voice carried out into the darkness and the footsteps ceased. Your hostage didn’t dare struggle against you for fear of death, but how much his crew cared was unknown.
“Y/N, stand down.”
A red sphere of light formed, and none other than Steve Rogers stepped forward, bathed in its glow. You lowered the knife and your hostage bolted towards his companions.
Your focus never left Steve as you surveyed his group. The light came from the girl beside him, while none other than Bucky Barnes was on his other one.
“I have spare beds and medical supplies for your friends down in the bunker. Second door on the right.” You stated.
One by one you let Steve’s team pass you, with varying looks of venom and curiosity. When it came time to let the man himself inside, he spoke.
“Y/N, I know this—”
You cut him off with a hand in his chest.
“Not tonight, Rogers.”
You turned on your heel and left the large man standing in the doorway.
...
Strangely enough, you slept soundly for the rest of the night.
You woke up just before dawn and began cooking for your guests. If they were worth anything battle wise, Steve’s team would be up soon. You started on breakfast. Grits, sausage, the works. You imagined it had been some time since they had a proper meal. You felt eyes on your back, and chose to ignore them.
“We had nowhere else to go.”
As soon as the words left his mouth, you stiffened and stirred the grits harder. Although your back was to him, you heard the floor groan under his weight. He couldn’t have been much more than a few feet away.
“You gonna look at me?” Steve asked you. His tone was low and deep.
You clicked your tongue and turned the burner down. You still had on your short shorts, tank top, and no bra from the night before. Your headscarf was wrapped around your head, a weapon just in reaching distance. You came around slowly, schooling your features into a blank expression.
“Thank you, for letting us stay.” He said.
When you finally took him in, Steve was as captivating as he was when you saw him the first time. His hair was a shaggy mess on top of his head, though. And he’d grown a beard. His eyes however, were full of the same dutiful gaze you remembered.
“You came here for sanctuary, I’m giving it.”
Don’t ask me for more.
Steve frowned and put his hand on his hips.
“Y/N. What do you want me to say?” He pleaded. You ran your tongue across your front teeth. Before you could respond, the girl from the night before emerged from the bunker.
“I’m Wanda, thank you for your hospitality.” She said. You softened at her somewhat haggard appearance. Her clothes were ripped in places, and her hair wasn’t combed out. You’d come across her file before, but only in passing.
“I just washed some towels and I’ve got fresh clothes in my closet for you, if you want ‘em.” You knew what it was like to be a woman on the run, surrounded by nothing but men. Wanda lit up at your offer and thanked you, slipping into a language you didn’t speak. You nodded and she left.
As soon as the bathroom door clicked shut, you stalked over to Steve, whose eyes had never left you.
“Tell your friends breakfast is ready.” You ordered. Steve nodded.
His hand came up to your cheek, and you could feel the rough calluses against your skin. All you wanted to do was close your eyes and melt. To keep Steve Rogers to yourself and stay in your hideaway.
He was a soldier—dutifully watching over those who couldn’t defend themselves. You were entirely different. You had been fucked over by enough people, enough times to know better. Why Steve didn’t, you had no clue.
You stepped back and folded your arms together.
“We get to work on game plans after breakfast. I’ll cash in some favors and see how far that’ll get y’all.” You told him.
The rest of Steve’s team was beginning to file into the kitchen. Steve held your hand, and the sudden warmth in front of everyone caught you off guard. Instinctively, you bristled at the contact.
You pointed Sam to a plate you made him, as a sort of apology for your misunderstanding. He gave a half smile and nodded in thanks.
“Listen up. Y’all got a week to get the hell out my house and plan your next moves. Meet me downstairs when y’all are done.” You announced. Without sparing Steve a glance, you promptly exited.
...
“Your best bet is a big city. I can get you passage from here to Cape Town, but after that you’re on your own.” You explained.
A chorus of tentative approval came from Steve’s group, but he hadn’t said anything yet. His eyes were glued to the different screens and maps.
“What if we went the back way. Get in by land and make our way to the coast.” He offered. You squinted, following his logic and trying to find truth in it.
“Waterways are crawling with authorities, legal or not. Y’all want that heat without a solid exit?” You pondered out loud. Steve was staring at you in complete earnest and everybody knew it.
“Plenty of blinds spots if we get enough distractions in the meantime.” He countered.
“I’m not keeping you safe here just for you to take bigger risks.” You said firmly.
The two of you were battle hardened strategists with too much history and a lot of unfinished business. Sam groaned from the other side of the bunker, cutting through your standoff.
“I, uh, need help in the kitchen. Y’all come help.” He called out. One by one, Steve’s team excused themselves with varying levels of awkwardness. Then it was just you and Steve in the bunker.
“I think that was intentional.” You joked. Steve placed his hands on his hips and sighed.
“Probably because you haven’t looked me in the eyes since we got here.” He replied.
“I’m not the one trying to get myself killed, Steve. You are. So don’t blame me for not wanting to look at the dead man walking.”
Your words hung in the air and a long silence followed.
“Come with me.” He said at last.
You scoffed, knowing full well you were retired. You had absolutely no desire to get back out in the field out of sheer self preservation. Steve talked a big game about love and a future, but he was in no shape or form willing to hang up the shield for it.
The two of you were at an impasse. Then Steve did the unexpected: he punched the wall.
It was a relatively controlled impact, but your house wasn’t built to sustain a super soldier’s outburst. An outburst that was a rarity in itself. Steve chest heaved less from effort and more from frustration. His jaw kept clenching and unclenching as he tried to keep it together. Dust from the wall coated his fist, and a solid chunk of cement dropped to the floor.
“I can feel something coming. I don’t––I don’t know what it is yet, but I feel it.” He said at last.
You made no move to approach the blonde, just waiting for him to finish processing the wave of emotions on his face. That was what you liked most about Steve. He never hid when he was angry or sad or lonely; his openness was a welcome change for you.
And this time it was more serious than it had ever been. You swallowed hard and made a beeline for the console. Punching in the code, a small chamber on the far side of the wall appeared, revealing the one thing you never thought you’d ever need again.
“Nat got one suit, I got another,” you started, meeting Steve’s eyes for the first time. A haunting uncertainty stared back at you.
You clasped your hand in Steve’s, gripping tight enough to turn the tips of your fingers white.
“I trust you, Rogers.” You admitted. You looked straight ahead at the suit, but you weren’t really there. You imagined the action you would see in it, and how devastating this phantom battle would be. A growing pit in your stomach nagged at you, Steve’s foreboding presence had fully transferred to you.
Something wet hit your cheeks. Tears to brace yourself, tears to mourn the peace you had here, and warmth. Steve wiped them away as they came, cradling your face with his free hand.
You craved the closeness––it was a string of touch and breath and skin the both of you lost in isolation, but found in each other. A new day was coming and you needed to be by his side when it did.
“I like the beard look.” You whispered. Steve snorted, but promised to keep it just for you. And the calm you felt with him was enough and would always be enough.

The Ease With Which We Hurt [I] ICorpse Husband x Fem!ReaderI
A/N: You guys. I have never simultaneously loved AND hated a piece that I wrote. I really don’t know how I feel about this, but I promised myself last year that I wouldn’t overthink my writing, so here we are. This is part one of most likely four, but we’ll see about that. Thank you to everyone in my inbox who gave me ideas to turn this into a multi chapter fic! They’re all coming, I promise :)
SYNOPSIS: Corpse loves her, she loves Corpse. But both of them are too dumb to realize it, and too afraid to admit it.
It started, like most good things in his life, out of the blue.
He met her three years ago. Well, not met, but befriended her three years ago when her podcast was just taking off. He remembers sending her a DM about how great her work was, remembers her being gracious in her praise of his own narrations after and he remembers talking to her well into the night until she fell asleep. The rest, to Corpse, is history.
And yet, all he knows of her is a voice, a name, and the prettiest eyes he’s ever seen. she chooses to wear a mask every time they FaceTime, just for the formality of the entire ‘faceless’ situation. She’s told him she thinks it’s ironic, how she feels like he knows her inside out, and she’s still afraid to show him her face. It’s not like corpse can blame her. She doesn’t even know his name, let alone what he looks like, and it’s a miracle she hasn’t filed him away as some no face creep by this point.
But she hasn’t. She’s still here, after three years of being her friend, and almost a year of seeing her eyes and convincing himself that she’s his friend, damnit, she’s still here. It’s already a lot more than he can ask for.
He’s been holding himself back from falling in love. Or rather, he’s been in love for as long as he can remember, but he's been adamant on denying it; because he knows how this goes. It’s never gone well for him in the past. And he’s not ashamed to admit that he’s afraid. But sometimes, she tells him things that make his heart break, just out of the realization of how absolutely fucking stupid he's being, holding back from her.
He’s convinced that when he dies, she’s going to be the light at the end of his tunnel. That heaven means nothing more to him than a place in her world, however small, however insignificant, as long as he gets to see her eyes for the rest of eternity.
Every part of corpse tells him that it's love. But he tries to push it away, suppress his own feelings till he's nothing but a walking contradiction, overflowing with voices that only say her name.
But he’s tired. And he's scared. Because he’s been down that road before, opened himself up to people who haven’t liked what they saw and left with pieces of him he’s not sure how to tape back. He’s unsure if he's willing to let her try.
So, he settles for a small corner of her world, a little piece of her existence that gives him life, and every time he talks to her, hands flailing as she animatedly tells another story, he pushes the yearning to the back of his head till it crawls down and clings to his windpipe, unsure and immeasurable, and he can’t speak anymore without choking. But then she says things that make his heart jump into his throat, and then he’s choking but for entirely different reasons.
“What would you do if I was gone?”
He doesn’t mean it like that. Well, he does, a little bit, but his brain isn’t taking over every part of his body trying to convince him he’s unwanted, so he doesn’t mean it like that. He’s only curious, maybe in need of a little reassurance. And nobody does reassurance better than her.
She doesn’t say anything for a very long moment. Corpse knows the gist of her impending answer but the pause still blooms unnecessarily in his chest. But it’s not like they haven’t done this before.
“I’d write about you.”
“Huh?”
She only huffs a laugh at his confusion. She pulls a blanket closer around her and props up her phone to rest against what he assumes is a wall.
“You’re not easy to forget, Corpse,” her voice is soft, truthful without flattery, provides comfort without justification. “if you were gone, I’d write about you. You’re the best thing that’s ever happened to me, that’s the least I’d need to cope.”
It’s not what he thought he’d hear, but it’s becoming increasingly clear to him that it’s exactly what he needed. He’s the best thing that’s ever happened to her.
“Besides,” she continues, hair falling in her face as she adjusts the blanket, “there is no place for me in a world without you in it.”
And he physically feels his heart stop and clench in his chest. The thought of meaning this much to anyone, to her in particular, is more than he knows how to handle. So, he doesn’t follow that up with a quip, no teasing laughter, no suggestive, exaggerated winks that only he can see. He only lets himself bask in the warmth of her honesty, lets her smile at him in that way only she does, the way that makes him freeze and ache and crumble.
He chooses not to talk after that, settles for listening to her tell stories about her childhood. Her voice is the purest thing he’s ever heard, he’d hear her talk till the world ended if he could, and the sweet lilt of her voice lulls him to sleep hours after she’s hung up the phone.
He doesn’t get to talk to her for almost two weeks after that. He misses her a little, but he keeps that to himself, and instead, tags her under dumb twitter memes and sends her pictures of cats that he’s saved specifically for times like these, and another video of two geckos fighting on a tree captioned ‘u and me’ .
There’s no place for me in a world without you in it.
The words wrap around his ribs like a noose, tightening by the second. Some days, when his heart is fast enough to beat out of his ribcage, it grounds him just as much as it hurts. But when she’d said it to him, it passed through him like a train wreck, distorting all semblance of control he’d convinced himself he had.
He knows it’s ridiculous, but he loves her. She’s only a voice through his phone and eyes on his screen and he has no clue what the rest of her looks like, but he’d be damned if he lets himself deny it one more time. He loves her. And that’s the most terrifying thought he’s ever entertained.
It doesn’t take long after that realization takes root, for him to send her a picture. He doesn’t let himself think too much about it. Taking pictures of himself is still new to him, but he tries his best. Don't think about it too much, he reminds himself, and unsurprisingly, it's her voice in his head that does all the soothing. He captions it something stupid, more out of habit than anything else (my hair makes me look like Dora the exploraH), with his name across his forehead and ‘Dora’ in brackets beside it.
Momentarily, he wonders if he’s ever asked her if she even wants to see his face. (He has, and he distantly remembers her agreeing as long as he’s comfortable with it.)
He hits send before he has the chance to stop and think.
Then he waits.
Her response is quicker than he’s prepared for, her name flashing across the facetime request on his phone. He’s giggling before he even picks it up.
“CORPSE, WHAT THE FUCK!”
For a very long moment, they just stare, taking each other in. This is his endgame, corpse thinks, he’s never going to need to show anyone his face after this, nothing, no one will matter as much.
With a jolt, he realizes that she’s not wearing her mask. He can see her, all of her, and that on its own should be enough to take him out.
And then she smiles.
If there was any doubt in his mind before about how head over heels he is, she’s taken it out of his mind and stomped it to the ground. He’s not the poet in this friendship, but he’s assured he could write entire paragraphs about the way she smiles. And he tells her exactly that.
“I’m curious to see how that would fit with fine lass nice ass cat ears and she uwu,” she teases, eye twinkling with mirth, “but I'm sure you’ll figure it out.”
He’s both amazed and amused at how quickly they go from fawning to bantering. But perhaps that’s the thing about her that feels so familiar.
“I will write a song about you baby, don’t tempt me.”
“Is that a threat?”
“It’s a confession,” he shrugs, suddenly shy, unsure of where to lead with this. Thankfully, she interjects before he has to say anything else.
“That’s an awfully bold confession for a man called Corpse.”
“I’m also awfully alive for a man called Corpse, but you don’t see me complaining.” Awfully alive and not enough husband, he wants to say, but he keeps that to himself.
“You complain about being alive everyday, Mister Husband,” she counters and Corpse groans, dropping his head into his hands.
“I say that to you in confidence,” he grits out, playfully glazing at her.
“You also tell about a million people on stream, I’m not special,” she laughs.
“You are very special to me.” His voice is soft, shy, almost afraid to tell her the things he’s saying, “I did say I’d write a song about you. Pretty special if you ask me.”
She hums, taking a huge gulp of water and nodding enthusiastically.
“Correct, me, the cat girl and the e girl. What’s the next single, Corpse? Faceless Girls are ruining my life?”
“You’re a rascal,” he chides as a familiar warmth settles around his heart, and grips.
“It is one of my finer qualities, yes.”
Distantly, some part of his brain registers that this is the first time he’s seen her, but there is no sense of hesitation in his head about her. It feels just like it always has, with her on the phone saying the silliest things, and him responding with equal enthusiasm. This is the way they’ve always been.
While she talks, hands animatedly moving around, Corpse allows himself a small moment of reprieve to think. He knows he loves her, but he wonders briefly if it’s too soon to be in love with her (he concludes that probably it is, given that she remains unaware of his feelings, but he finds that it doesn’t really matter)
Because while Corpse loves her, he’s sure he doesn't know how to love her. Doesn’t know her favourite flowers even if he knows her coffee order by heart, doesn’t know her ideal date even if he’s memorized every poem she loves.
The meanest parts of his brain tell him she deserves better, and he knows they’re wrong. But a small part of him can’t help but dwell. He’d rather have her and her unnecessary hand movements in his life as his friend than not at all. So he pushes away his feelings for another day, and just listens to her talk.
Corpse is perfectly content with that.

Gas Station Coffee
Summary: y/n and reid are literally oblivious lmfao, classic best friends to lovers trope
Warnings: angst if you squint, lots of fluff! some kissing though
Word count: 3.8k
a/n: i really hope you like this guys!! i’ve worked for the past 4 hours straight on this asjdhnaksdjh <33 this has not been beta-ed! im tired, please forgive me if you notice any spelling or grammatical errors. much love!
Spencer stepped into the bullpen with his favorite tan coat slung over his arm, eyes immediately casting towards the desk where he knew you sat. A small smile played across his lips as he saw JJ leaning over your shoulder, pointing and laughing at something on your computer screen. He watched, entranced, as you looked over at JJ and grinned before doubling over in fits of your own laughter.
He found himself walking towards you as if he couldn’t control his own actions. His feet brought him directly in front of your desk.
You glanced up at him, eyes beginning to sparkle when you realize who it was. “Spence!” You squealed, and it was all you could do to stop yourself from launching at him.
With an amused “woah!”, Spencer’s arms engulfed your frame, stumbling backwards ever so slightly. He buried his head into your hair, inhaling the smell of your rose shampoo.
You pushed at his body ever so slightly, signalling him to give you some space. He stepped back, taking in the sight of your blushed cheeks and slightly ruffled hair. Heat rose to his face at the thought of you looking like this under him-
“Spencer?” Your voice cut into his thoughts, and Spencer refocused onto you waving a hand in front of his face. You smiled at him, pure happiness filling your gaze. “JJ just left, you guys have a case,” you explained, laughing at the frown that now adorned Reid’s features.
“Ugh,” he groaned, pulling you in for a quick hug and forehead kiss before dashing towards the round table.
You stood, stunned, hand slowly rising to the top of your head. Did Spencer just give you a kiss? You thought, astounded. You sat down again, though you still felt like you were in shock. You eventually got to work, though the feeling of his lips pressed against your skin never faded.
15 minutes later, you noticed the team quickly leaving the conference room, everyone heading to their desks to grab go-bags before making their way to the airstrip.
You noticed Reid grabbing his duffel from under his desk, and you gently placed a hand on his bicep. He looked up at you, flushed.
Before you even said anything, he responded. “California,” he whispered. “We’re going to California.”
You tried to hold in your disappointment, but judging by the softness overtaking Spencer’s gaze, you assumed it was showing. It was his turn to grab your hand, and you ignored your heart beating furiously in your chest.
“It’s so far,” you whispered, sadness lacing your tone.
He offered a tiny smile in an attempt to comfort you. “I know, I know,” he replied. “But we can call any time I’m on break, okay?” He reassured you.
You nodded, fully knowing you never call him on breaks because that was the one time he could sit in solitude.
You pulled him in for a quick hug, punching his shoulder slightly as you break away. “Go be a hero,” you laughed, attempting to mask your dread. He chuckled in response before grabbing his luggage and walking away, not looking back.
You watched with a heavy heart, only turning when you heard Garcia calling your name, asking for help with some files.
A few days passed without any contact from Reid. You had assumed your regular position in Garcia’s office, ranting to her while playing with one of her many bobbleheads as she listened and gave you advice as you spoke. It was a comical sight, really; you lay in a chair that you had reclined back as far as possible with a pink feathery bobble in your hands as you spoke, while Garcia spun her chair in circles and gave you advice to your life problems.
The topic in question today was Spencer. To be fair, the topic for the past few weeks had been Spencer. Garcia was sure he liked you back, but you were too scared to make a move or ask him about it.
“Does he like me or does he not?” You exclaimed, frustrated. Penelope had stopped spinning, and seemed to be trying to tell you something. “Like honestly, it’s not hard to stop sending mixed signals!”
You quickly quieted down as you glanced over at where Garcia sat, eyes ghosting over the computer screen and widening as you met the faces of four very amused agents.
Garcia groaned, dragging a hand down her face. “$10 to whoever can guess who y/n was talking about first,” she joked, and the group laughed. You bowed your head sheepishly.
Thankfully, Reid wasn’t there; he and Rossi had gone back to the M.E. to get some tox screen reports. However, JJ, Emily, Hotch, and Morgan very much were there, and were very much trying to hold back their smirks.
You zoned out as you heard Morgan and Hotch discussing a possible unsub with Garcia, instead thoughts racing with what could have been.
What if Reid had been there? What would he have done? Would he have thought you were talking about him?
You shook your head in an attempt to clear your thoughts; you knew enough about psychology to know stressing about something that didn’t even happen was just setting yourself up for failure.
The rest of the day was rather uneventful, though your cheeks still burned with shame every time you thought about what had happened a few hours ago.
You made it home fine, pushing the door open with your key in the lock. You sighed as you slid off the small bag you took to work; there were some extra files you needed to take care of that you weren’t able to finish at the office.
It was nearing midnight when you finally finished working through the pile of paperwork. Your eyesight blurred slightly as you tried to focus on the clock in front of you. Cursing, you realized you had forgotten to put in your nightly contacts.
Stumbling to the bathroom, you placed the tiny pieces of plastic in your eye and blinked in an attempt to clear your vision.
You groaned as the fluorescent lights in your bathroom suddenly became too bright. A hand came up to shield your eyes, making your way to your bedroom. As you fell onto the bed, your phone started to buzz next to you. You let out a sound of frustration as you grabbed it and lifted it up to read who was calling you at this hour. Your eyes widened as you read Spencer’s contact name in bold across the screen.
Scrambling to pick up the call, you exhaled a sigh of relief as you heard a croaking voice say, “y/n?”
Worry overcame you once again, however, when you noticed how tired and sad he sounded.
“Spencer? Are you okay?” You asked quickly. You did some math in your head before realizing it was well over 3 am in California. “Why are you calling me so late?”
You were met with silence on the other end of the line, permeated with the occasional sound of sniffles.
“Oh, Spence,” you whispered into the receiver, feeling your heart break. “What happened?” You asked, though in your heart, you already knew the answer.
“We couldn’t save him,” he quietly cried, and you could feel your body yearning to comfort him.
“Baby,” you whispered, not thinking before you spoke. Your breath caught in your throat, but Reid didn’t seem to notice or care. “It’s going to be okay, I promise.”
Reid was full on sobbing on the other end of the line at this point, and you felt tears rising to your own eyes as you listened to his heart wrenching cries.
You continued to whisper sweet nothings into the phone until he calmed down, still hiccuping slightly.
“Are you sure you’ll be okay baby?” You asked, worried for him and his well being.
“Can I video call you?” You could barely make out the sound of his voice, but you nodded quickly before realizing he couldn’t see you.
“Uh- yeah, yeah of course Spencer,” you murmured. In an instant, you received the video call request on your phone. You quickly accepted, letting out a small gasp as you met Reid’s red rimmed and puffy eyes.
“Could we please just-” His voice broke slightly, and your chest ached for the poor boy even more. “Could we please just stay on call? For- For the night?”
You nodded in agreement, sighing slightly. Reid asking to fall asleep with you over video call wasn’t unheard of, but had only happened a few times before.
You tended to stay awake until you were sure he was asleep, but you never told him that.
So that’s how your night ended, watching the face of the man you loved as he slowly drifted off to sleep across the country, instead of in your arms like he should be.
The case ended soon after that, the whole team opting to leave immediately instead of spending one more night in California.
You and Garcia waited like normal at the office for them to come back home. This time, however, you were a little extra nervous. Maybe it was the video call a few nights ago, maybe it was the slip up in front of your coworkers. Whatever the reason, you were antsy, constantly shifting your weight back in forth between your feet and fidgeting with your hands.
You were in the middle of a staring contest with the ground when the sound of the elevator door opening caused you to look up. A small smile spread across your face as you saw Penelope practically run towards Morgan. You gave a quick hug to everyone else, but faltered before you got to Spencer.
He offered you a tired grin, the eyebags prominent under his eyes. You frowned slightly, sizing him up. His clothes hung a little more than usual on his already lithe frame, causing you to tut disapprovingly.
“Mr. Reid, how much did you eat over the course of the past week?” You asked, crossing your arms across your chest. The members of the team who hadn’t already dispersed laughed, knowing Spencer was in for a scolding.
Reid shook his head, a smile making its way onto his features. He stepped forward and practically engulfed your body, catching you by surprise. “I missed you too y/n,” he whispered into the hug.
The team had a mandatory day off after every case they finish, meaning they could all sleep in as much as possible. This normally meant you would spend the night at Spencer’s apartment, waking up to the sight of his adorable bed head and sleepy voice.
This night, however, was much different. Reid practically never left you alone the whole way back to his apartment, whining when you attempted to remove the hand he had placed on your thigh while you drove the both of you to his apartment (you had deemed Spencer unfit to drive after the long flight).
Even when you fell asleep next to him in his large bed, his arm managed to snake its way around your waist, legs looping around yours.
The next day came and went; Spencer continued to be clingy and you continued to let him. You knew it was rare when he would let his guard down, and you wanted to make him feel as comfortable around you as possible.
The next morning you woke up, feeling more tired than usual. You picked up your usual coffee from your favorite hole in the wall coffee shop, sluggishly hauling yourself to work.
If anyone seemed to notice your strange demeanor, they didn’t say anything. You got through about half of the day before you realized something was wrong; you hadn’t seen Reid at all yet.
So, leaving the large stack of files that needed sorting behind, you set out to search for him.
You had almost given up all hope for trying to find him until you rounded the corner to Morgan’s office. You heard voices echoing, and you could barely make them out through the closed door.
You quietly creeped to the door, placing your ear against it as you strained to understand what they were saying. “But what if she doesn’t like me?” Your heart dropped slightly. That was Spencer, you were sure.
“Kid, you’re going to be fine. Just do what I told you to, and everything will turn out alright.” That was definitely Morgan.
He didn’t like you. He liked a different girl all along.
You choked back a sob as you quickly ran to the bathroom, pressing the back of your hand against your mouth to stifle any noises as you made a mad dash for a stall.
You stayed there, crying quietly, for at least 10 minutes. You thanked the Gods above that you had decided to wear minimal makeup that day.
You attempted to dry your face as best as possible with the toilet paper in the stall (gross, you know), before finally emerging from the bathroom.
Because your luck was just fabulous that day, you practically slammed into Spencer’s body as you were exiting the restroom.
The moment Reid took in your puffy and disheveled appearance, you knew you were done before. You tried to maneuver around him, but for such a skinny person, he was quite strong. He grabbed your arms and turned you to face him, gently lifting your chin with a single finger to meet his gaze. You almost crumpled right then and there.
“What happened y/n?” Spencer asked, voice soft and full of concern. Your mind raced to come up with a lie.
“My uh- my childhood dog died?” You offered weakly, internally beating yourself up. A childhood dog? You didn’t even have a pet growing up! You thought to yourself, making a mental note to get better at lying, especially to Reid.
Something shifted in his gaze, and he stepped back abruptly, letting your chin drop without his finger to push it up. Confused, you looked at him, only to find a cold stare looking back at you. You instinctively drew your hands around your body; you did it every time you felt scared in a situation.
You thought you noticed a flicker of something in his gaze, but you couldn’t be sure. Reid gave you a tight-lipped smile, then swiftly turned and walked away. You were left staring at his retreating figure, extremely confused.
The next few days were, to put it lightly, hell. You hadn’t texted or called him in forever, nevertheless actually spoken to him in person. It seemed like he was purposely avoiding you; you couldn’t figure out why.
At this point, you had had enough. You slammed your pen down on your desk, marching over to where Spencer sat hunched over some paperwork.
“Reid,” you started, coldly. He looked up at you, poorly masking his shock. You never called him Reid, ever. “We’re going for a walk, leave your stuff.”
You turned and headed to the glass doors without checking if he was following you. Sure enough, you heard the soft padding of his footsteps behind you.
You walked into the elevator, holding it open for Spencer to come in too.
When the doors closed, he turned to you. “So, will you finally tell me what’s happening?” He asked, clearly confused.
“Why have you been ignoring me?” You asked, still staring straight ahead. You could see him opening and closing his mouth like a fish out of the corner of your eye. He clearly hadn’t expected you to be so… blunt.
“I- uh- what?” He stammered.
You turned to face him with a no nonsense expression. “I said what I said. Why have you been ignoring me, Spencer?”
His face turned sheepish and red, and he ducked his head as he muttered something. You frowned, not catching what he said.
“Huh?” You asked him to repeat it.
This time, you could make out the words.
“Derek told me to,” he murmured, ashamed. You frowned, still not following.
“What do you mean?” You asked, the pieces not clicking together in your mind.
Reid sighed. “I asked him for girl advice…” He started.
Your eyes widened, and your hand flew over your mouth. “No,” you whispered.
At this point, you both had reached the ground floor of the building already and had exited the elevator.
Spencer’s brows furrowed. “What do you mean ‘no’?”
It was your turn to be embarrassed. “Remember when you saw me crying a few days ago, and I said my childhood dog had died?”
Spencer nodded.
“Well-” You started, only to be cut off.
“That was a lie,” Reid stated, surprising you. Before you could say anything, he went on. “You didn’t have a childhood dog, much less a pet of any kind. Your mom is scared of animals,” he said. You continued to stare at him with your mouth open.
“How did you…” You couldn’t bring yourself to finish the question.
“You told me the first time we ever hung out outside of work,” he replied, shrugging like it was nothing. “I remember things, you know.” You nodded, smiling to yourself slightly. “So what exactly did Derek tell you?” You asked, curious.
“He told me to play hard to get. You know, ignoring texts, not talking to you, etc.” Reid explained, and you nodded. You were going to kill Derek.
Spencer sighed, and put out a hand to stop you from walking. You turned to face him. “Look- I don’t know how to see this but I really like you. Like, like like you. A lot,” he stammered. You giggled slightly. It wasn’t everyday that you heard the famous Dr. Spencer Reid stumble over his own words.
“Spencer, I like like you too,” you laughed.
“Really?” He whispered, eyes hopeful.
“Really, you confirmed,” amusement present on your features. Without a second to spare, you leaned in and captured his lips in a perfect kiss.
You two broke apart after a few seconds; Spencer’s chest was heaving. Whether it was nerves or he was out of breath, he couldn’t tell.
You two walked back to the bullpen, hand in hand and happier than you’d ever been.
You cursed as you pushed through the glass doors, holding a hot coffee in one hand and an unwrapped Ring Pop in the other. You turned and looked for Spencer with a smile on your face.
You and Spencer had been dating for 3 years, and you were extremely content to spend the rest of your life with him.
You were currently wearing his extremely oversized sweater, the sleeves so big on you that they dangled past the tips of your fingers. You were also sopping wet from the rain outside.
It was a cold winter day in Quantico, meaning lots of rain. It was around 7 pm, and it wasn’t uncommon for the team to stay until 9 to finish going through and completing case files.
Spencer had wanted coffee, but you knew how much he hated the break room coffee. Oddly enough, Reid loved your local corner store turned gas station’s coffee. Even though there was a thunderstorm outside, you had made the trek to the store to pick up a steaming cup of joe (and a Ring Pop for yourself).
The beautiful sounds of pure laughter fell upon your ears as your gaze rested upon your very own Spencer Reid. His face was stretched into a wide grin as he gazed at you.
You made your way over to him before he grabbed the edge of your (well, technically his) sweater and pulled you towards him.
“I got coffee,” you waved the hot cup tantalizingly in front of his face, prompting him to lean in and kiss you deeply.
“I love you,” he whispered against your lips, and you felt yourself smile.
“I know,” you whispered back teasingly. You placed the coffee and Ring Pop down on his desk. Immediately, Reid pulled you into a warm embrace.
You two stayed like that for who knows how long, simply enjoying each other’s presence as you buried your head into his collarbone. He held you oh so tight against his chest, as if he was your shield against the evils of the world.
You leaned up and began to pepper his face with kisses, making him squirm and laugh slightly. You were glad the rest of the team was sitting elsewhere to finish their papers.
You suddenly noticed Spencer pull back from you, lifting you up and placing you on the chair he was sitting on.
You closed your eyes, frowning at the loss of your personal heater. Opening your eyes, you were surprised to see Reid wasn’t in front of you.
Looking down, you could feel your heart start racing.
Spencer was on one knee in front of you, a stupid grin on his face. Instead of a ring, he held your untouched Ring Pop in his hands, cradling it as if it were made of glass.
You gasped, eyes filling with tears.
“These past 3 years have been the best of my entire life, y/n,” his voice cracked slightly as tears streamed down his face. “I know this is a Ring Pop and this is out of the blue and you’re probably extremely unprepared-”
“Shut up,” you cut him off. He looked up at you in surprise. “What?” He asked.
“Shut up,” you repeated. You slowly pulled yourself off the chair, kneeling down to be at eye level with him. You threw your arms around his neck and pulled him in for a deep kiss, one that you hoped would explain everything.
Your salty tears mixed together, creating a briny taste as your tongues clashed.
Spencer broke apart first, gasping for air slightly. “Is that a yes?” He asked, breathlessly.
You grinned, leaning back in. “Yes,” you whispered against his lips.
Reid slipped the candy onto your finger, making you giggle. “I can’t believe this is happening,” you laughed, pure joy flowing in your veins.
“Me too,” Reid admitted, causing you to kiss him once more.
A loud thud followed by a scream echoed throughout the room, causing the two of you to jump apart and look around, alert and ready.
Garcia stood at the entrance to the bullpen, a mess of files laying scattered at her feet. Her eyes darted between the “ring” on your finger to the amused look on your guys’ faces, causing you to laugh loudly.
You held your hand up, pointing to the ring, shaking it slightly. “I’m getting married!” You squeal.
Penelope matches your energy, running up to give you a hug. The sound of footsteps rings through the large room, causing you all to look up.
“We heard a scream,” Morgan explained, worry covering his features. You laugh, once again pointing to your ring.
“I’m going to be a married woman!” You exclaim. Suddenly, you and Spencer were both being bombarded with hugs, and “congratulations!” resounding in the air. Rossi clapped Reid’s back with a “so, a Ring Pop, huh?”, causing you all to laugh.
You looked up at Spencer’s face, smiling to yourself.
And I wouldn’t have it any other way, you thought to yourself.

Allies and Foes
You woke up the next morning to an empty bed, the cooled sheets and pillow telling you that Negan had been gone for a while. A quick glance at the clock showed it was almost 9am, and you lazily stretched underneath the red satin, enjoying the ability to sleep in.
You vaguely remembered Negan waking you up with a kiss to the neck earlier, when it was still mostly dark in the room. He had murmured something about a meeting with his Saviors, and you had responded by turning over and grumbling for him to let you go back to sleep. The last thing you remembered was his low chuckle, and then you were out again.
Reluctantly rolling out of the ridiculously luxuriant bed (seriously, where did he find such a soft mattress during the apocalypse?!), you started getting dressed. Unfortunately, you only had the outfit from yesterday, which wasn’t the cleanest after being out in the woods, but it would have to do until you returned to your own room.
The intrusive thought hit that maybe you could leave a few items of clothing here, so that you had more morning-after options for next time. You quickly dashed the thought, not wanting to get ahead of yourself. Sure, you had now spent the past three nights in a row with Negan, and two of those nights had been in his bed, but that didn’t seem like long enough to start moving in items. Just the thought of Negan doing something so domestic as allowing you to start taking over his armoire and bathroom drawers made you chuckle at the ridiculousness of it.
Though, doing so would mean more events like last night could easily occur, since you wouldn’t have to keep running back to your room for more clothes or other belongings. Your mind flashed to the shower, and what the two of you had done in it the previous evening. How you had gone to your knees and proceeded to blow both his cock and his mind. He had been particularly vocal, his sharp grunts and loud moans echoing off the tiles as he ran shaky fingers through your hair and made you feel like the most seductive woman on the planet.
Still smiling at the memory, you finished zipping up the boots, grabbed Ricardo, and headed out of the bedroom and across his office to the door. Creaking it open a few inches, you peeked down the hall. Seeing that it was clear, you quietly exited the room, shut the door behind you, and speed-walked down the halls and to the stairwell needed to get back to your room. Letting out a little puff of relief when you made it to your own floor, you slowed down the pace a bit, no longer needing to scurry like a roach caught in the kitchen when the lights turned on. Honestly, the fact that you had yet to run into a Savior or wife while making the morning-after trek to and from Negan’s room was really damn lucky and-
“Hey!”
The sound of a voice just as your hand was reaching out for the door knob to your room caused you to jump about a foot in the air. Whirling around, you saw none other than Maria at the opposite end of the hall, waving her hand in greeting as she came towards you.
Crap. Couldn’t the universe have at least let you put on clean underwear first?
Much as you didn’t want to interact with someone at the moment, you couldn’t help but recall the last time Maria had tried to speak with you, in this very hall. It had been after Negan confronted you about the pregnancy test, and you had completely ignored her and rushed past without a word. At the time you had been too emotional to care, but now you knew that she was owed an apology, not to mention the fact that you hadn’t really chatted or hung out with her since the night out at the picnic table. Doing the mental math, you realized that late night conversation had to have been a little over two weeks ago. Yea, you had been a shit friend to Maria lately, and it was totally deserved karma to have her pop up when you weren’t really prepared for social interaction. Well, you would just have to get over it. She didn’t deserve to keep being pushed aside, and you wouldn’t do so to her again.
Pasting on a grin, you opened the door and gestured for her to come inside. She preceded you into the room and settled on the rickety little bed. You tried to nonchalantly lean Ricardo against the wall, in hopes she wouldn’t ask why you were walking around with a weapon so early in the morning. Thankfully, she seemed too busy scanning the meager surroundings to notice. It had been a while since she was in your space, and you tried to take in the tiny room from her perspective, wondering if she found it lacking. You weren’t sure what the wives’ rooms looked like, since apparently Negan wasn’t keen on them having visitors up there, but if it was anything like the fancy clothes they wore then it was sure to be much nicer than your own room.
Just thinking about them made a lump of discomfort form in your stomach. It wasn’t as if you had forgotten about the fact that the man you were developing feelings for had a harem of women he called his wives, but it had been a lot easier to push them to the back of your mind when one wasn’t sitting in front of you.
Not wanting to waste time with small talk, especially when you both were smart enough to know it was a shallow distraction, you dove right in.
“I want to apologize for the other day, when I ignored you. That was shitty of me, and I’m sorry.”
She gave a tiny smile, and you immediately knew that she wasn’t mad. Of course she wasn’t. This was Maria, and she was one of the most forgiving and patient people you had known since the apocalypse began. The fact that she was still willing to even deal with your fickle ass, especially after your last couple of interactions, was proof enough of that.
“It’s alright,” she replied. “You looked pretty frazzled anyways. Everything okay?”
“I don’t know about everything, but things are alright,” you mumbled, almost hoping she wouldn’t hear the words.
You started picking at a stray thread on the grey cotton sheets, unable to help but compare them to the luxury of Negan’s satiny red ones. Ugh, why didn’t you just stay in his bed all morning, instead. You could’ve enjoyed physical comfort and social isolation there.
Able to feel the weight of Maria’s gaze, you lifted your head to look at her. As expected, she was watching you closely, the slightest ghost of a smile tipping one corner of her mouth. “What?” you asked, not rudely, but perhaps a bit impatiently. She looked like she knew a secret that you didn’t, and you wanted her to just spit it out already.
“You spent the night with him,” she stated in a gentle tone, and when you jerked in surprise and opened your mouth to say....well, you had no clue what you were going to say, but thankfully she cut you off. “Which means,” she continued with a raised palm, a silent gesture for you to not get defensive just yet, “that considering how negatively you viewed his multiple wives situation, you must also know he stopped sleeping with them.”
Mouth still hanging open, you stared her down for a few seconds before snapping it shut. Making a “go on” gesture with your hand, you waited for her to continue with wherever it was she wanted this conversation to lead.
She then told you how she had suspected for a while now that the reason why Negan stopped coming to see the wives was due to his interactions with you. Her theory had been confirmed after your late night chat out at the picnic table when you admitted to being in his bedroom, somewhere none of the wives had been allowed to enter.
“Why didn’t you tell me?” you whispered, clutching the bedsheet so tightly your fingers were about to go numb.
“Honestly? Because you weren’t ready to hear the truth, and I knew you’d have completely shut down at the very thought of it. You still wanted to see him as a monster, so I figured I’d just wait and see how things played out. See if he’d keep allowing you to get close to him, or if one of you would get spooked and run, so to speak.”
You mulled this over. Was she right? If she had told you a couple weeks ago that he had suddenly stopped sleeping with all of the wives, would you have believed it? Doubtful. And even if you had, never in a million years would you have listened to her theory that his drastic change in behavior was because of the few interactions he’d had with you up until that point.
Much as you hated to admit, Maria had been right to keep quiet about it. Though you did wonder how she thought you had found out. Did she assume Negan had told you? Or maybe she was aware of how Amber had been using Trixie, and had come to the correct conclusion on her own. Maria was intelligent, so there was a good chance she knew more about the goings on around here than people gave her credit for. You wanted to ask how much she knew, but also didn’t want to risk outing Trixie, since she had told you that information in strict confidence.
Instead, you asked, “So now that you think I am ready to hear the truth, is there anything else I should know? Are the others coming up with a plan of how to quietly dispose of me, so that Negan will pay attention to them again?”
You said it jokingly, but were honestly curious to know how they felt about these recent changes. Amber obviously wasn’t your biggest fan, but what about the others? Did they see you as a threat to the luxuries they enjoyed here? Honestly, if the roles were switched, and they were the ones threatening whatever you had going on with Negan, you’d be tempted to sharpen mini-Ricardo shanks and take them out one by one. Your subconscious whole-heartedly agreed, giving a battle cry and stabbing at the air, as if taking out imaginary opponents, while your brain sighed and rolled its eyes.
“Well actually, we did recently have a group conversation about you.”
She said this calmly, but it still made your eyes go wide as you exclaimed, “You what?”
“It was a few days ago. Amber had been throwing a real tantrum after she tried to take Negan a dinner tray, and found him already in his office eating with you.”
Oh yea, you remembered that event, vividly. It had been about a week ago, before his last supply run. It was the evening he had confessed to you about his dead wife, and then Amber interrupted by knocking on the door with a tray. It had been apparent she wasn’t happy to see you there, nor to be sent away by Negan, so you weren’t surprised to hear she hadn’t handled it well afterwards.
Nodding for her to go on, Maria continued. “We let her vent about it for a couple days, since I think we were all hoping she’d eventually let it go the way she does most things that get under her skin. But she was like a dog with a bone this time, and kept running her mouth to all of us about how you were stealing Negan from us, and that if we continued to just sit back and let this happen, we were putting our status here in jeopardy.”
Sweat broke out on the back of your neck at the possibilities of where this story could be going. Just the thought of the wives sitting around talking about you as a potential threat or enemy made your stomach flop, but you stayed quiet and let Maria finish.
“She was really trying to get the rest of us riled up, and then one evening she started telling us all that we better be prepared to start scrubbing toilets for points, since we were willing to just let him toss us to the curb. That was when Sherry finally stepped in and put her foot down.”
“Wait, Sherry?!” you blurted, absolutely shook at this turn of events.
Maria nodded. “Yep. She told Amber that all she was doing was starting unnecessary drama, and that Negan had never given any indication that we would lose our privileges or have to start working for points just because he isn’t fucking us every night. Amber tried to argue at first, but Sherry held her ground. Told her that she’d gladly go get Negan, so Amber could tell him her concerns face-to-face, rather than continuing to make assumptions behind his back. That shut her up real quick, and she stormed into her bedroom and stayed there the rest of the night. I haven’t heard her say anything else about it since. She’s still sulking around a bit, but at least she’s been quiet.”
Your brain was struggling to take all this in, especially the part where Sherry had not only stood up for you, but done so against another wife. Crap, now you really felt like an asshole for being jealous and internally snarky towards her that day in the kitchen, when she took you to the medic after you cut your finger.
“Do you actually think she’ll let it go now?” You had a feeling that you already knew the answer, but couldn’t help asking.
Maria sighed. “I can’t say for sure, but Amber doesn’t seem like the kind of person who is okay with not being doted on. I don’t think she has any particularly strong feelings towards Negan, but she enjoys the status of being a wife. It can be a bit of a power trip, to catch the attention of a man like him, even if for shallow reasons.”
“Yea, don’t I know it,” you mumbled under your breath.
Maria raised an eyebrow, having obviously heard. “I don’t think I’d classify his attention towards you as shallow.”
Giving a huffed laugh and shrug, you tried to play it off. “Yea, well, is anything about Negan easy enough to classify?”
“Probably not,” she said with a shrug. “But that’s part of what makes him so intriguing, right?”
“If by intriguing you mean confounding as hell, then sure.”
Despite your annoyed tone, you were genuinely smiling at this point. Part of you wondered if this should feel more weird than it did, talking to a woman who was Negan’s “wife”, and had most likely slept with him, about whatever it was he had going on with you.
As if reading your thoughts, Maria’s face became more serious. “I hope this doesn’t make you feel like you can’t still talk to me, or see me as a friend.”
If you were being totally honest with yourself, the whole situation didn’t make you feel 100% comfortable, but you were pretty sure that was because of the possessive part of you that wanted him all to yourself. But was that a realistic emotion to even have, with a man like him? Could you be okay with him continuing to publicly have “wives”, even if he wasn’t sleeping with them? And what if he later decided to go back to them? It’s not as if he knew that you were aware he wasn’t sleeping with them at the moment.
Mentally shoving those questions into the padlocked box with the other unanswered questions, you honestly replied, “I’m not totally sure how I feel about all of this yet, but I definitely still see you as a friend, so no worries on that front.”
“I’m glad,” Maria said with a nod. “And in case I didn’t make it obvious, no part of me will be upset if Negan decides he doesn’t want to give us the same privileges anymore. Well, so long as you promise to give me a spot in the kitchen, so I’m not stuck scrubbing toilets beside Amber.”
“Deal,” you said with a laugh, glad that the air had been cleared between the two of you, and that she wasn’t harboring ill feelings towards you for taking Negan’s attention away from her and the other wives. Part of you even wondered if she had spent much alone time with him, since she hadn’t been his wife for very long when he stopped sleeping with them, but some things were just better left unknown. Besides, it’s not like he slept cuddled against any of them all night afterwards, or let them in his bed...or his shower.
Your subconscious was feeling awfully smug at that thought, nose in the air as it strutted around with a superiority complex. Meanwhile, your brain was pointing at the padlocked box of questions in annoyance, a motion which the subconscious purposely ignored.
You chatted with Maria for a bit longer, the conversation much lighter and more frivolous than before. It felt good to just hang out and discuss random topics, the way you had when the two of you were surviving for weeks out in the woods together. You might’ve each taken very different paths when it came to Sanctuary life, but it was a relief to know that the connection you had formed prior to coming here surpassed those differences. You also appreciated that she didn’t push for more information about you and Negan, and didn't even mention his name again.
When she left a little while later, a glance at your watch showed that dinner prep was in about two hours. Grateful for the chunk of alone time, you finally changed into fresh clothes and propped yourself up in bed with the copy of Harry Potter. You smiled when removing the little piece of paper you had torn from your notebook as a bookmark. While this one was blank, there was a second little piece of paper that was bookmarking a place closer to the beginning of the book. This piece of paper you had marked in pencil with the letter N, and it held the spot where Negan had stopped reading yesterday morning. You had stuck it in there after he left your room, the book having been face down on your side table where he placed it when you woke up and distracted him. Hoping that he’d return to reading it, especially if you kept his place, you couldn’t help but mark his spot.
Just the thought of his possible reactions to some of the plot twists had you smiling, at the same time as a devious thought crept into your head. If you made sure to get him hooked on the first book, he’d definitely have to find copies of the other ones in the series to share with you, right? There’s no way someone can read the first book and not need to also read the rest.
Both subconscious and brain nodded in agreement at this theory before cuddling up on either side of you, so that they could also see the opened book. Diving back into the story with a contented sigh, you immersed yourself in the magical world, not planning a return to reality and all the awaiting unanswered questions until it was time to head downstairs for dinner prep.

Use Your Words
A request from @lokiismyhubby
Summary: Loki feels down and Y/N decides she wants to help him out
Warnings: Selectively Mute reader
Y/N sat with Peter Parker, listening to him as he rambled on about his homework and complained about how much he had to do of it, instead of just doing it. Even though Peter could be kind of annoying sometimes Y/N loved to be near him. He was the only human so far that had proved to be worthy of her trust. He was a gentle giant and showed her tenderness and care when he provided her company. He even went out of his way to gather her food and certain supplies to help her out, erasing the risk of her being caught by another human.
Y/N knew Peter didn’t have to do all of these things but he still chose to and that made y/n feel good because she knew someone out there cared for her wellbeing. Out of impulse, she stepped up to Peter’s wrist that held a pencil and hugged it.
“Woah there… You good pipsqueak?” Peter said, raising an eyebrow in curiousness. Y/N nodded her head wordlessly. She didn’t like to speak much.
She had lost her parents at a young age and her kind called borrowers lived in small, distanced packs, making it hard to find people to share a life with. After she had lost everyone close to her there had been no reason to speak and communicate with others. Peter was the first person she had talked to in five years. When she first spoke to him her voice had been rough and she didn’t want to admit she had lost the confidence to actually speak. All of her memory of language had practically withered away in her head, making it hard to remember how to pronounce some words. Peter had only questioned once why she didn’t speak to him. He was worried she was frightened of him but she assured him that wasn’t the problem with an exaggeration of her hands and a written note. Peter hadn’t questioned her after that and only spoke to her with no expectations of her responding.
She released his wrist and smiled brightly up towards him.
“I’m glad you’re feeling good today. But I think something has made Loki feel bad these last weeks. Would you know why?” Peter asks, resting his head upon his hand to see her better. Y/n shakes her head.
“Well if you have any free time, you mind using those amazing spy skills for me? I’m worried about him, he won’t talk to me?” He patted her head with a finger.
Y/n nodded, anxious to see Loki for the first time. She had never come across the god since her arrival at the tower.
Y/n sat on a shelf in Loki’s room watching his daily life. He led a rather peaceful but boring routine. Reading late at night and early in the morning, practicing his impressive magical abilities, and occasionally eating a meal. Y/n was about to stand and leave, ready to tell Peter that he was probably sad because he did nothing during the day when the door opened. In Thor walked, one of the biggest people she’d ever seen, and that was saying something.
“Brother, why don’t you just leave this room? There are plenty of things to do.” Thor said to Loki.
“Leave so I can hear you all blabber on of how wretched of a person I am? My life may be spent in solitude but perhaps I like it like that.” Loki retorted snarkily.
“If you stay in here, your chances of being liked will increase no more. “Thor said stepping towards Loki.
“So you admit it? The mortals of this tower do not want me here.” Loki said, anger lashing his voice.
“I don’t blame them, brother. You’re wasting away in this existence you call a life. Mother would be disappointed.” Thor said, his voice going soft to lessen the blow at the end.
Despite Thor’s gentility, Loki still became furious.
“Get out,” Loki said with a scary calm. Thor respected his wishes and walked out. But Y/n stayed, thinking she had just found the reason for Loki’s sadness.
As the days went by Y/n hid well and listened to the others’ Avengers conversations. Most of them as she’d thought spoke terribly of Loki. Remorse became heavy in her heart and she vowed to make Loki feel better. Since Peter had been there for her she figured it was time for her to be there for someone else.
She crept onto Peter’s desk and broke the lead off the pencil quietly. She checked to make sure he was still asleep and began writing.
Dear Mr. Loki,
I am sorry you feel so bad. I know people can be mean but I think your feelings are valid. If it was me I wouldn’t want to hear about what people think of me either. But I think you are very kind and generous. I hope this helps.
-Your friend
Y/n set out the next night to give the letter to Loki. Her handwritten letter was strapped to her back, easily accessible to her reach. The floor was mute under her imperceptible footsteps. She climbed the towering, unstable wall of Loki’s silk, black bedsheets which was a hard task as the sheets slipped from her grip a couple of times sending her heart to beat out of her chest. Finally, after what seemed like a lifetime, she reached the top. Her breaths were heavy and she struggled to keep them quiet. Approaching Loki’s open, pale outstretched palm she retrieved the letter from behind her back. The paper was bigger than her upper half when folded together and heavy enough that she couldn’t place it upon his palm using only her arms to boost it to the surface. Which meant that she would have to climb into his hand.
Oh, how she wanted to turn around, climb down the bed and run to her safe, warm home inside the wall.
But she refused to give up when she had come so far.
And he needed someone to be there for him.
She delicately climbed into his palm, with the letter strapped to her back carefully placing her feet in non-ticklish places. One twitch of his hand would send her flying onto the covers, or worse off the bed itself. She shivered at the thought. Finding a good place to leave the letter she bends down.
Then a powerful, immense weight falls upon her sending darkness to coat her vision. She falls to her butt as vertigo hits.
“What are you doing?” A booming voice demands.
She trembles in fear, covering her head with her arms. I knew I should’ve just gone away. What will he do?
“I asked you a question?” The voice is angry. A light is turned on allowing her sight of her captor.
She dares to look up and is met with the rage of Loki Laufeyson. She shakes her head in reluctance to answer.
“What is this?” He roughly nudges her away from the note she holds in her arms causing her to fall onto her back with a squeak of fear. She holds onto the slip of paper for security but his strength overpowers hers greatly. His eyes squint in concentration as he reads the small handwriting.
“Did you write this?” He asks returning his focus upon her trembling form.
She nods hesitantly.
“Truly?”
Another nod.
“You don’t speak much do you Little Miss, do you?” He asks with a hint of a smile, his tone is much softer.
She shakes her head. Y/n clutches her arms across her chest, scooting back further from his face.
“Did I frighten you?” Loki suggests his eyes gentle voice guilty.
She nods, her eyes wide studying him for any ill intent.
“I apologize. I have a few trust issues. “
She says nothing and only stares at him with distrust.
“How did you know what the others were saying about me?” Loki asks raising her to meet his eyes. Even through her apprehension, she notices how beautiful they are. How his irises cannot seem to decide on a cool blue or a rainforest green.
She doesn’t try to answer his question, from the fear of speaking and the trepidation of angering him with her words.
“Okay, well I will wait until you’re ready to tell me. For now, I’ll let you go.” He stands up from his bed and releases her onto the hardwood floor. He stays crouched even as she slips off his long fingers. Taking a few cautious steps away from his looming form she is frankly surprised he is letting her go. She supposes that is a good sign. Maybe she will come back to him despite her previous scare.
“Don’t be a stranger.” His voice calls out almost wistfully.
Next week…
Y/n finds herself in a vent located in Loki’s room. This past week she’d felt guilty for leaving Loki in such a dreadful, sad state. So her final decision was to come back. She watched as Loki sat reading in an armchair on the other side of the room. He looked regal and imposing from far away, with his head bent down in concentration, long legs spread outward and she could only imagine how intimidating he must look up close. Her legs shook as she dropped to the floor below with no sound to alert Loki of her presence. Scurrying to his chair she stopped by his black boot. Even this simple apparel dwarfed her, able to serve as her sufficient sleeping quarters.
If you want to turn back now’s the time. She said to herself.
The enormous, unaware boot shifted closer to her and she let out a squeak, scampering back.
“It’s you again Little Miss.”
She craned her head all the way up and saw Loki staring down at her. His black hair hung down around his face. His hand reached for her and pinched her waist carefully, lifting her up to bring in front of his eyes. The pressure on her waist was gentle but still made her fearful.
She kicked her legs in search of a non-reachable floor. Loki noticed her apprehension and set her down in his other palm.
“Is that better?” He ducked his head down to meet her eye.
She nodded.
“Still not talking are we?” He asked.
She shook her head.
“Well, I suppose that’ll be fine. Would you care for me to read to you?” He asked kindly.
His offer was so kind and thoughtful. One that didn’t seem right for a simple nod in answer.
“Y-yes p-please.” She stumbled.
Loki grinned and set her upon his shoulder. She wasn’t sure what to do so high up and close to his person. Thankfully Loki caught onto this with his quick perception.
“Sit right here Little One.” He tapped right beside his neck and held still as she walked to the pointed area. Sitting down, she dared to lean a bit of her weight against his neck. She was instantly met with warmth and the gentle pounding of his pulse. When he started reading his smooth voice vibrated her minutely.
After a while, Y/n started becoming sleepy from the comfortableness of her position. Loki stopped reading.
“You know Little Miss, I think you have a lovely voice… perhaps you should use it more often.”
Y/n pondered these words in her sleepy mind.
Maybe she would heed his advice, but for now, she would sleep.
