Intro Post

This blog focuses on my Rain World OCs involved in the "Mobile Iterator Project" AU. ^_^

The “Mobile Iterator Project” (MIP) is a project created and directed by an Ancient named "No Cost Too Great" (NCTG) with the stated goal of supporting standard iterators in their productivity, maintenance, and longevity, so that they can operate at maximum efficiency, even after the inevitable mass ascension. ‘MIP Units’—iterators under the project—are created puppet-first in the "MIP Development Center" and later assigned to Local Groups, where their structures are built to support the Iterators around them. Uniquely, their personalities are heavily based around singular, specific Architects (Ancients) who donate their memories and qualia. The exception to this is TWR. In total, there are 99 MIP Units, with IDs ranging from 01 to 99.

(This AU strays pretty far from the themes and canon of both Vanilla Rain World and Downpour, so please keep that in mind!)

Chapter 02. Fire Hazard

“Well, took you long enough. Was about to send the Iron Legion on your ass for that core spike. But most importantly, to check on my coffee.” Tony piped as she exited the elevator into the common space of the tower. 

Ellie rolled her eyes and replied, “Stark, even if you did send the Legion, they would’ve only found me reducing my core temperature. Like I was trained to do, remember?” The latter half of her inquiry laced with sarcasm. 

The team knew that she was more than capable of managing her heat spikes. The StarkWatch was programmed to alert everyone on the team when her core temperature went over the regular temperature of the human body. In a normal human’s case, it would be 98.6F. In Ellie’s case, her threshold stood over 110F. 

Ellie’s time training with SHIELD involved intensive mindfulness breathing exercises and various other grounding skills to be able to manage her own body temperature. She understood the power of breath and how she uses it determines how she regulates not only her body, but her mind. A necessity for an Enhanced individual like Ellie. 

In that moment, Ellie thought back to how a former SHIELD therapist once described it within a written profile and scoffed to herself. “The Enhanced individual requires down regulating skills due to their reported extensive trauma history and poor ability to control stated Enhancements. The Enhanced individual is recommended weekly psychotherapy, physical therapy, and pyro-kinesthetics training. The Enhanced individual is not currently recommended for field work. Further to be assessed.” 

Ellie darkly chuckled to herself quietly at the morose characterization. “Well, he wasn’t wrong.” 

Tony took his coffee from her outstretched hand and said with a more serious tone, “That StarkWatch is there to save lives, Dante. Not just theirs, but yours. Like it's trained to do, remember?” 

Ellie smirked at the attempted joviality, “Yes, I know, Stark. Don’t get all weepy on me now.” She did appreciate how Tony and the others cared about her. Despite her own self-loathing, she wasn’t an apathetic monster. Far from it, she enjoyed being needed, especially knowing that her team trusts her to watch their back- as she does them. It helps her heal.

Tony chuckled and whatever tension that was there had left. “Not a chance. My tears would disassemble the team once they realized it would heal the world. Figured that we still may need your fiery goddess-like powers to put out some flames.” 

Looking behind you, he smirked dramatically, “Ah, incoming- here comes a hazard now!” Recognizing his less than subtle warning, associated with the familiar loud footsteps, Ellie sighed deeper and cringed. She turned around knowing exactly what to expect.

In all his stature and glory, Steve Rogers was a commanding force in every room that he entered. Standing tall at his full height, shoulders back and broad, his handsome face slight with a frown - he walked towards Ellie with intention in his dark gaze. He was wearing his training gear and exuded power and a determined energy. Ellie clamped her lips together before she let out another exasperated sigh. “Why does he have to look so good during moments like this?” she annoyingly thought to herself. 

“Friday, you were supposed to let me know when to clear the room! ” Ellie whispered angrily to the ceiling.

“Apologies, Agent Harlow. Captain Rogers had overridden your command after your last core temperature alarm.”

Ellie sighed and rolled her eyes, “Of course, he did.” She whispered now to herself. Looking at Steve’s face as he got closer, she can see that he also didn’t appreciate the secret command that she gave to Friday should this ever happen again. 

“Steve, you already know–” she began to explain. It was always like this when her heat spiked. With the notification going to every member of the team, she was always met with concerned check-in’s from her friends. The captain, however, always came in with concern and frustration. As team leader, Steve didn’t particularly enjoy it when one of his teammate’s were in danger, to others or themselves. More specifically, Steve didn’t like knowing that Ellie was in danger, period. 

Steve interrupted her before she could even start to console him. “Ellie, I know that you know what to do should your temperature ever spike. But this is the fourth time this month. It used to be once every six months. I let you avoid it the last time but not anymore. What’s going on?” He stopped in front of her with his hands on his hips. Now that he was closer, she could see more worry in his eyes than anger. 

He resembled a scolding figure if she ever saw one. Her frustration peaked when she felt her initial intention to dismiss his concern had now disappeared when she noticed the sincerity of his inquiry. She knew that the super soldier was just looking after her. The first time that her core heat had risen over the past month, concern was there but was dismissed due to the fact that it had historically spiked sporadically. But then it happened again the next week. And then the following week. And then today. 

Ellie knew that the episodes were triggering it. It was almost the anniversary of the incident, and she knew that the episodes were frequent when it was coming close to the date. She just didn’t like to admit it because she should have been healed by now. She shouldn’t be this impacted by it anymore. 

In her own head, now paired with the guilt for making the others- Steve, worry, Ellie frowned and put her hand to her furrowed brow. A headache brewing out of frustration with herself. She let out a heavy sigh that carried weight that the super soldier could understand. 

“Hey,” Steve implored softly and gently gripped her arms. “We’re just worried about you, Red. You know that you can tell me anything.” 

At his touch, Ellie flushed and her entire body seemed to relax before she could even consciously recognize it. The brewing headache seemed to dissipate. His words washed over her with a familiar nurturing comfort that she always received from Steve. 

Red. A name that only Steve was allowed to call her. Barton tried to call her that once before when they were on the quinjet on their way to a mission. The long, silent look that Steve sent him was intimidating enough to quiet the whole hull. It was an instantaneous reaction and she didn’t think that Steve even remembered doing it to this day. But that was the last time that anyone had ever attempted to say it. 

Ellie let out another sigh and admitted with closed eyes, “The episodes…they’ve been more frequent the past few weeks.” A burning discomfort floated back into her body as she confessed. 

Steve caught Tony’s eyes behind her and the tech genius only pursed his lips in understanding. His usual quipped humor silenced, he took his coffee and left the room. Giving the two remaining Avengers the privacy that even Tony Stark could recognize and respect. 

With the two standing there in a muted silence, Steve broke it by squeezing her arms gently. At the additive touch, her eyes opened. Brown eyes filled with sadness and resentment matched a bright, soft, and caring blue gaze. “The anniversary is the beginning of next month.” He stated, understanding laced in his tone.

Ellie trusted, respected, and cared for all of her teammates. Her gratitude extended from the very first time that she had ever met them, worked with them, and gotten to know them. It’s only been 3 years since she officially joined the Avengers team but it felt like decades. When you go through these missions, these intense and traumatic world-shifting events, you’re going to learn all that there is to know about respecting life. And the members on the team understood that and each other in ways that nobody else ever could. 

But Steve– oh, Steve. He was a man out of time. He understood more than anyone what it was like to have had, to take, and to lose. Family. Friends. A first love. Just like she did. Through his transformation, he had to find himself again in the purest, but sometimes, most painful of ways. He had to learn to adapt to a new world. Just like she did. She and Steve were able to understand each other in ways that the other team members couldn’t. And that wasn’t an observation, nor was it a cold or isolating fact. It just was. 

This connection brought them closer over the years, and maybe in ways that the other team members could observe, and the two people in question couldn’t. 

After the mention of the anniversary, Ellie released a relieving breath. Her breathing skills now kicked in as she forced herself to regulate. She never felt more vulnerable than whenever she had to talk about the incident. Even with Steve.

Noticing this, Steve knew that it was his cue, and rubbed his hands over her arms slowly. His thumbs slowly circled her soft skin at the same time. He took the next breath with her.

“That’s it, Red. You’re okay.” He whispered and brought her closer to his chest. Their height difference put her forehead to perfectly land just underneath his collar bone. Appreciating the co-regulation, Ellie felt her hands grip Steve’s biceps in attempts to continue grounding. He was her rock. A domineering but calm force that she knew would help her move through her symptoms. 

It was like that for a couple of minutes. Steve kept whispering his reassurances, I’m with you, Red. You’re okay, El. All the while, she put her entire weight on him, her hands that were gripping his arms now tightened as she finally broke down. She didn’t want it to get to this point. She felt like a burden to the team, to Steve, and a burden to herself. But relief was all that she felt. To be able to just cry and not be judged for it. To hug someone and to feel them hug you back. It’s what she needed, and Steve gladly gave it to her.

Now hugging her to him, Steve readjusted their position and now had one arm around her waist, rubbing circles on her back. The other hand resting on the back of her neck underneath her hair. Ellie gripped the back of his shoulders like a lifeline. It always feels this intense, for some reason. It’s almost as if the incident happened just yesterday. 

A minute or two passed and Ellie’s soft sobs quieted down into short sniffles. Steve took this as another cue to check in and put enough space between them for him to catch her eye. He kept his hands around her waist and neck, prepared to bring her back in closer to him should she still need him to do so. 

Even though her eyes were now shiny, red, and slightly puffy, Steve’s empathy shined through as he met her calm and content gaze. “Hi, there.” He offered with a small grin. 

Ellie sniffled a little before returning his smile with a genuine smile of her own. “Hi, Steve.” Finally coming back into herself after a much needed emotional release, she detached herself from Steve. Not completely so but just to rest her hands on his chest while his shifted down her back. 

“How do you feel?” He asked with concern still apparent in his voice. She nodded her head slightly and said, “Better.” He softly grinned and let out a good while his right hand left her waist to caress her cheek with the back of his fingers before putting her hair behind her ear carefully. She smiled more at the care through his actions. 

Unbeknownst to Steve, he was gazing at her with a look that she will never tire of seeing upon his face. While they were always close, physical signs of affection took time to foster between the two. Ellie flushed and smiled slightly every time Steve either caressed her cheek, stroked her hair, gave her a hug or rubbed her arm, or waist. But she never denied it. She welcomed his touch happily and appreciated the soft gaze that was associated with it. 

Ellie liked to believe that his gaze held something more than just a quick look. She would like to believe it's because he saw her as more than a teammate, or even a friend, caring for another. It was personally nurturing, protecting. A softness that only seemed to be reserved for her. Naturally, it felt intimate and romantic - the way that he would look at her sometimes. He never seemed bothered by it after he initiated it, nor did she call him out on it. If she had to continue to take from him- soft touches and protective gazes she would blissfully take from Steve. 

“You can’t let yourself bottle it all in, Red. Dr. Winsherr said that the episodes will never really just fade away. No matter how much time has passed, with PTSD, it will take its time.” Steve said to her gently. Ellie looked down at her hands on his chest and let out a reluctant but agreeable mhm. She often dismissed her own mental health for the sake of her having to prove that she was strong enough or tough enough to handle her symptoms by herself. She knew it was futile to avoid her problems, but she was still working through accepting her post-trauma experience.

“Hey, you with me?” Steve nudged and squeezed at her waist again to capture her attention. Snapping her eyes from his chest to meet his, she nodded and affirmed. “I’m with you, Steve. I know. It takes time.”

Ellie knew. Of course she knew. And she knew that Steve knew because he still experiences his own episodes from time to time. Naturally, the Star Spangled Man with a plan was naturally more adaptive than she was and was able to practice his acceptance skills more easily. He still has his moments where he reverts back to the plane crash, feeling the cold water envelop his frozen body but conscious mind, or to witnessing Bucky fall to his death. Those were moments that she was there for him though. And she gladly gave just as much Steve gave today.

“Right. Do you have an appointment scheduled with Dr. Winsherr yet?” He prodded gently. He didn’t want to push her but he knew that in moments like this, therapy could offer her a space that maybe he couldn’t. 

She recognized his prying with a cheeky grin but appreciated him asking, nonetheless. “Yes, Mother Hen, I have it scheduled for next Friday.” Steve jokingly rolled his eyes at her quip and gave her one last squeeze on her hips before letting her go. Ellie also dropped her hands from his chest reluctantly, already missing his firm embrace. 

“Good. I’m glad. You know that all we want for you is to feel capable and to protect yourself. Those alerts happen for a reason, you know.” He continued on. Now she jokingly rolled her eyes and said, “Yeah, yeah, yeah. The StarkWatch is there to protect others and myself, blah blah.” Echoing Tony’s earlier sentiment back to Steve.

“Protecting others means us too.” Steve caught and spoke firmly. “If anything happened to you, Red…” he paused and continued with a darker tint to his gaze, “I’m not sure what I would do.” Her eyes widened a bit at the sudden vulnerability. It’s not because he was saying that he was scared of her, or merely worried about his team’s safety. But, because he was scared to lose her. This was a first for the both of them, to be so honest about where they stand in regards to how important they were to each other. It was mostly shown through actions. But this was through actual words.

“ Steve…” That was all Ellie could breathe out. The roles reversed and now Steve flushed, almost as if he didn’t even catch what he said until he saw her reaction. “We would all be lost without you, Red. So just make sure that you take care of yourself, okay, can you do that for us?” For me, was underneath that request. 

Ellie noticed the shift of energy and desired to cling onto it for another second. Taking a risk, she replied, “I can do that, for you, Steve.” 

Steve’s breath now hitched slightly at her response. It was exactly what he wanted to hear. His eyes grew warmer as he looked down at her. It was quiet between them now. Until Steve reached out once more with his right hand to caress the very same cheek that he had just a moment ago. She met the movement with her own by leaning into his hand until he was able to cup her cheek completely. 

“You know that we’re going to have to talk about this sometime, El." Steve whispered with his face closer to hers. Their faces were so close that they could feel each other’s breath on their skin. 

“Talk about what?” She whispered back, mesmerized by his blue eyes, her gaze still on his as she felt his other arm go back around her waist to pull her body closer to his. She hooked her arm underneath his again to clutch onto the back of his shoulder. Her other arm went around his waist to anchor herself to him. Their embrace was so intimate that there was no mistaking the energy in the room shifting into something different. Something new. 

“You know what, Red.” Steve said with a knowing tone. His nose softly nuzzled her own as her eyes unconsciously drifted shut at the sultry tone of his words. His lips were so close to brushing hers. She could practically feel his lips on hers. Almost anticipating it. 

Of course, again, Ellie knew exactly what Steve was talking about. Their increased physical contact also initiated something new between the two Avengers. An intimacy. A romantic energy that was so charged that it made Ellie’s blood rush and pool to her heavy beating heart, and to other parts of her body that were just criminal. Her body ached with a charge that she knew only Steve would be able to satiate. 

It began six months ago when they returned from an intense mission. It was a particularly rough mission. Ellie had to use her powers, which was not worrisome of course. What was worrisome was that she had a harder time pulling back on this mission. 

Her abilities included being able to absorb, manipulate, and manifest fire. She could not only generate fire from her own body, but she could also smother them. However, the use of her powers always came with some cost.

hey hello it’s your high-word-count friend here. really really appreciated your response, it has been recieved! i'm pretty terrible at responding to responses for some reason. I think I just think too much about words and thoughts and the pressure to decently communicate an appropriate reaction, it's easier to throw word vomit at the screen at a late night whim to an online stranger than to actually properly acknowledge a really thoughtful and well written and kind response to said word vomit. it was a really lovely response. i didn't know if it'd be worth it to be so weirdly raw as an anonymous presence in a tumblr inbox but I gotta say, it was nice to be seen. I think it was worth it. thank you.

I was gonna write a big longer thing but it might need more work-shopping so I perhaps will come back soon. tangentially related I wanted to indulge in some unstructured pondering about dog metaphors to say: that domesticated dog thing you said at some point on your blog....yeahh. it's very relatable... I once met a shaky little shitzu and I realized I was just like it. would never be equipped to live in the reality of the wild, yet still scared of the world in my enclosure. needing care, being far too attached to the people who feed me, yet always wanting to bite. being yelled at but not really learning much from it other than the fact I don't want to be yelled at again. I end up doing everything to make people happy (or at least not mad at me) I listen to instructions and jump through every hoop they put there just because what else do I have, really? I always want to bite but I never do, maybe I know that evolutionarily my teeth have dulled. I guess I wouldn't be such a terrible dog. not a great human though.

I used to have a dog. she'd always bark and snap if my parents or anyone got near me. I'm not big on touch, especially from my parents, so it was kind of nice to have a personal guard dog at times, looking out for me. I didn't think she really liked me. she'd snap if I got close to her sometimes, and often just straight up ignored me. so I never got why she was so territorial over me in those instances. but I appreciated it.

And a little sad, but I think it's accurate to the situation.

hello. going around in the mc fandom on tumblr i saw a point on Hürrem i think interesting, although something about it doesn't convince me: her supposed darwinism. knowing your perspective of Hürrem, perhaps nothing like who i saw with the point i'm talking about, i wanted to know your perspective, mainly for Hürrem as an analysis, but with the sultanate of women in the franchise, too, as they were related to her whereas to represent a patron with whom followed the ideology, or to compare them with whom was contrary to it. hope the ask isn't confusing. thank you.

The thing with Hürrem and Darwinism is that it's the perfect case study of actions speaking louder than words. Because she will say things that on the surface endorse that worldview, but her actions aren't the actions of someone who genuinely believes in a Darwinist ideology. Although I do think that her legacy did get warped and distorted within the universe of the show to suit a Darwinist ideology.

Yes she is very willing to step on and murder people to get her way. Even innocent people. However, rather than viewing this as OK, she sees herself as a 'sinner' for doing so. This obviously doesn't justify or mitigate her crimes, but the fact that this is how she sees them is very telling of where she genuinely falls ideologically.

We can also see how this relates to how she views Ibrahim and Mustafa's deaths specifically. If anything, her view on Ibrahim's death is far more akin to a David vs. Goliath narrative - which is if anything the polar opposite of Darwinism. She concedes that Ibrahim may be stronger and more powerful than her, but that doesn't stop him from losing himself to his hubris or her from being the more strategic player. Her line of 'If he is an eagle and I am a pigeon the one thing I can do is send a message' highlights this point. Not to mention that the profound difference between these two foils is that he loses his way due to hubris and the belief that his power justifies anything that he does where she does not.

And when it comes to Mustafa's death, in spite of her outburst at the funeral everything else shows her to view his death as a necessary evil and a tragedy. And her season 4 arc is if anything about her going from anger and revenge in the wake of Mehmet's death to realising that Mustafa still has to die because his allies pose a serious threat to her own sons. Ultimately she is right, they were never going to be on the same side and things were always going to end like this because he was not her son. Because even unwillingly he represented a genuine threat to her own sons. He couldn't control his allies in the army who were dangerous and fanatical and absolutely would have called for his brothers' executions if Mustafa took the throne. And if that happened, would he have been able to prevent them from going ahead? It seems very unlikely. She is reacting to a real threat for the sake of her sons' survival. Not to mention the fact that we see her crying in her room alone with no-one to perform for tells you a lot. She doesn't believe that this is OK because it's how things are. When you actually look deeper, it's because she's always on her sons' side and no matter what happens she will never abandon them.

And this is after all the same woman who does charity work for the poor and for women and children. And does so from a sense of genuine solidarity with them because of her own experiences of being enslaved. She is willing to connect with other people through her empathy - which is a trait that she stands out for in comparison to much of the rest of the main cast of the show and a trait that Darwinist ideologies usually eschew. Her approach is far more empathetic and human.

Not to mention her reaction to Cihangir forgetting his lines at his janissary ceremony. He takes this as a weakness and a personal failure. Not only does she not, but she reassures him that he doesn't and of the fact that he is worthy in her eyes. She lets him know that she is proud of him because he is her son and because he has his own share of talents. Going as far as saying that 'true bravery is fighting when you're scared.' None of this really squares with a Darwinist worldview. Rather it shows that what she respects the courage to face something even when you're going up against the odds and even when you're scared. Not simply raw strength and victory.

I think in a lot of ways even though Nurbanu respects strength and victory, she still has that human and protective side to her much like Hürrem. We don't see much of her relationship with her children (not nearly enough in my opinion), but it's clear that she loves them fiercely. Just as she loves Selim. The desire to protect the people she loves is also a motivation. Even though she does also want power, greatness and to follow in Hürrem's footsteps. Which effectively she does.

Safiye does take more of a genuinely Darwinistic approach and she cites Hürrem's example in doing so but this is based on more of a game of Chinese whispers than it is in Hürrem's actual ethos. If anything it goes to show how Hürrem's legacy got misinterpreted and warped over time and the very thing that made her stand out - her humanity - got forgotten by her successors along the way. I have discussed this idea before with @mc-critical

Kösem is a complicated one. Because while Safiye is an anti-Hürrem ideologically, Kösem is almost an inverse-mirror of her. It's almost as if a bait-and-switch is done with them. Because the audience is led to believe that Hürrem will complete her corruption arc whereas Kösem comes off as nicer. But in fact it's the other way around. Hürrem refuses to give up on the very things she stands for and gets the bittersweet ending of episode 134 whereas Kösem's corruption arc completes to deeply tragic consequences (if you saw episode 60 of MC:K you are entitled to financial compensation for the emotional damage in my opinion). I don't think Kösem is ideologically 'about' raw power. What she always wants to do is to save the relatives who she thinks she can. Even when she's 'gone evil' she justifies Mehmet's death by saying that she thinks doing so will save her other grandsons. Although I could write an entire meta in and on itself about how if Hürrem is the anti-Livia (I'm referring to Livia from I Claudius, the iconic scheming soap opera villainess who is essentially who Hürrem's enemies think she is), Kösem's arc parallels that of Michael Corleone in The Godfather.

Turhan doesn't really have all that much characterisation but she is basically all about power. So she is very different from the kind of person who Hürrem was.

Yo, what's up? Saw my friends doing this, and I decided I might as well make one.

I'm Onyx. I'm a rock/steel type gym leader located in the Galar region. You may recognize me from the Galar gym challenge a couple of years back. But I'm just here to post about my life and what it's like being a gym leader.

I was born and raised in Unova, but my family and I moved to Galar when was 13, which is also the time I started my journey. Rivals and friends were @quillpokebiology and @pokedesignercalli, as well as my other best friend who is a bit secretive and doesn't plan on getting a Rotomblr. When I'm not doing my gym duties, I work in coding and help tutor young kids on math.

As a gym leader, I have to have a lot of Pokemon to fit the skill level of the different trainers that come by. But still, here they are!

Atlas: Metagross

He was my starter, which I got as a Beldum. Found them wandering the city at night and decided to take them in since they didn't have a trainer. I know Metagross doesn't have a gender, but they don't really care what you refer to them as.

Obsidian: (Shiny) Gigalith

Caught him as a rogenrolla because he snuck into my camp, and it was the first wild shiny pokemon I saw.

Marble/Aggron

I found her while exploring a cave, and she was just a small Aron chewing on some random metals she found.

Jasper/Scizor

Found him in the wild and is the first pokemon I caught that was fully evolved. I'm not fully sure what happened to him, but my theory is that he was abandoned by his old trainer, since he doesn't like it when I'm gone for too long and gets really clingy when I come back.

Fenrir/(Midnight) Lycanroc

I found him as a rockruff in the Isle of Armor. He was really rowdy and aggressive, which really appealed to younger me back then. I didn't really know what to name him, so Quill did. They say it's from a myth, but I don't really understand it. Fenrir is also the pfp.

mandatory intro post

Hi, I am *redacted*. I am a Muslim. My pronouns are she/her. My informal tumblr blog is @walkingtalkinglibrary, if you want to know me more personally.

I am currently in my third year of pursuing my Bachelor's, majoring in *redacted*, (prof came up with the name as IR was too single disciplinary for him. it is basically the International Relations 2.0.) My minor is in Anthropology.

As to why I chose these subjects, well, liberal arts was an easy choice for me. I have always loved history and writing, a pair that composes GSG. It is very fulfilling to be able to find a major that encompasses everything I want to learn.

My career path is undecided, so I am keeping a few options open, either to research or to go in a creative field. (I draw and write apart from studying)

If I were to define my study technique, it is mainly picking out the main words in my reading and break the chunk down to study. (it probably has a name, i don't remember) I like to make things easy for me, but lately I have been strict on my attendance at university. POMODRO has always worked for me. My biggest academic flaw is missing classes, so I am trying to be strict on it.

In these three years, I have done most of my core courses and many foundations. My favorite course from my major is Gender, Equity and Development. My department is fairly new (and small) but it comes with a very extroverted club. Recently, I am asked to fulfil the role of the Director of Training and Development. Only if Allah wills, I may succeed.

Thank you for getting through my yapping so far. My MBTI is INFJ, and yes I went most of my uni without speaking to people, but it's changing (sigh). I have a group of closest people outside university, who are my family and my best friends. I study hard to keep my name among them. My CGPA is decent, not as well as I could do, because from my 2nd year I bought this idea that A's don't mean anything if I dont actually learn. So I focused only on learning and not A's. Kind of a bad decision.

A little about anthropology: it is a lot more extensive and wordy than GSG! It is insane!

AAHH SPIN HELLO ANGEL!! OK- i will be talking about my beloved blorbo Viridian !! I want to talk about how she has grown over the past year- seeing as she is one of my creations!! ♡⸜(˃ ᵕ ˂ )⸝ heads up this might be a long read because i have a lot to say (and lots of screenshots aaah)

So- I've had Viridian as an OC since July last year. She has gone through a new small chnages- but every version of her I love with all my heart- she is so special to me (an explination to one of the reasons why can be found here)

OK LETS START WITH VANILLA VIRIDIAN (from my blind run of cp2077 which lasted from July to septmber 2022) - vanilla viridian looks very similar to my 2071 viridian (minus the arasaka cyberarm)- this version of her had No mods (because I didnt know how to mod). At this time I Couldn’t really make out her vibe- all i knew was she loved jackie and had hair kinda like mine &lt;3 - the vanilla run was more- more for me to just sit and play cyberpunk- and cry because i went in blind not knowing what would happen (ugh uhm komepki plaza I AM LOOKING AT YOU) - this version of viridian was played / used before transmog was a thing in cp2077- so i was always like "GOS HOW DO I DRESS HER?!?!?" and she looked... interesting at times XD

After my vanilla run- I though "oh hey... what If i gave modding a go? 2022 is all about trying now and scary things after all!!".. so I shopped around for a basic mod and ended up trying out this pride eyeshadow mod - took me... god a few hours and lots of screaming at my pc to get it working (because i had no idea the main file had to be unzipped- hey @genocidalfetus - i am forver greatful for your help with that!!) after getting that one (1) mod installed- i felt like i could fight god and went ham installing mods (then the gamer gods humbled me when i deleted a main game file by mistake and it took 8 hours for my game to re install) BUT WE MOVE- I started to play around with more mods- realised I wanted Viridian to have her arasaka cyberarm so I managed to get that- then started to play around with hairstyles- viridian had a really shirt haircut for like-- ages!! --- and and i found a mod for jackie's leather bomber which made me SO HAPPY AAAHH

This was around october/november 2022- kinda around the time i was shyly approaching tumblr and posting blorbo stuff. But then the 1.61 patch dropped and i yelled because all my mods had to be re installed - but again we move - we learn and grow!

In the december of 2022 I came up with my first ever AU- the devil canon (which is an AU where Viridian gose back to arasaka near the end of her life- a very angsty AU)

At the start of 2023 I played around with more outfits and hairstyles (finally figured out what shair i'd like viridian to have canonically) - learnt about model swapping too! also started to actually flesh out her alter ego "arasaka's red rabbit" a brutal netrunner !! As my confidence with modding has grown- I've tried many fun outfits for her !! some of my fave looks can be found here, here , here and here (others are below!)

And now we are at the present- May 2023!! Viridian now has a solid design- I'm still having fun making new outfits for her- trying out new things- new poses- new ways to light my work!! Viridian also now exists in a few other universes / games such as The sims 4 or dragon age inquisition! (was inspired by my dear friend @halsin !!)

Recently- like as in- yesterday I made a very fun shoot where I dressed Viridian in summery clothes/swimwear and photoed her at a pool with Jackie!! One of my fave sets i've made so far this year- very fun to work on!!

well ok- if you've gotten to this point you're a champ!! I know i do rammble a lot about my ocs- but Viridian means a lot to me- It was very fun traulling through my tumblr and old chat feeds with friends to find stuff!! When sending in a submission, please be aware of how functional it is as in the past, some people have sent submissions that are far too complicated for a small drabble or don't work at all. ೃ⁀➷ It may take time for a drabble to be done, there is no set time on when things will be written and it is all up to inspiration. This goes for all my writing, I try to be as quick and efficient as I can be but I do spend a lot of time working on these so I want to make sure they are as close to perfect as I can get. I apologise in advance for any waiting you will have to endure.

ೃ⁀➷ Do not pressure me into writing something. Whether it's pushing to get a series completed or wanting a certain scenario, these will not be tolerated. You are allowed to show your support and excitement for something but there is a difference between "can't wait for the next part" and "when are you going to finish x chapter?"

ೃ⁀➷ As a growing writer, I am always experimenting with new ways of bringing stories to life. This can include but is not limited to: different tropes/AUs, lore, POV, reader insert, OC, and genres. Every story will contain details of what they contain so if you don't want to read something, you are warned at the very start.

ೃ⁀➷ I do not write for any members of Monsta X, married idols, idols involved in scandals, or anything that makes me personally uncomfortable.

ೃ⁀➷ While this account is a safe space for anyone who is over the age of 18, I will say that I am someone who writes based off of myself and my worldview. I do not write mxm, I try to avoid mentioning race, and I write majority fem characters. There is the odd occasion where my fics can be gender-neutral but for transparency, I do want to state this. • She’s WAY taller then you. 6’-6’2 I believe. Any demon in hell (aside from imps) would be taller then you if we’re following Viv’s universe.

Heya this is Neith from another verse. I was prompted to speak with you about (P)NH(C) virus. Which, I suppose, means... literaly everything about it? It started in OsCorp labs, that I was told, but what was it meant to do? What it did/does when not stopped? What was attempted to stop/heal it? What is affected (type of) population and is there a pre-exposure vaccine? If you know how to send files across the borders, that may be a great time to use that skill, any byte of info is nice. I and my benefactors want only good, I so swear.

And in the other news, I have a list of terms to ask about also, because umm. Pax became quite angry when questioned about those, and it seems like she doesnt know anything despite all of them being globe-span things. I quote, “your experiences are not universal”. Which, if true, means fundamental differences I cant reconcile with on the spot. Anyways, the list follows: Admiral(person, "A" capitalised); Aretes(the organisation); Dragonhearts(the organisation); Greatest biologist of Earth; Plural Plagues(or any event matching that name); Hellhole(in context of Washington, and any others); Hydra(the organisation); North Sentinel Island; OsCorp biology division; Top Alley House(the place). I dont demand the full dissertation on each, I just want to realise whats different and how much so. - Neith

Oh. Christ. Ok, you’re.. quite lucky I’m not too swamped with work. I don’t have the time to fulfill everything that you’ve requested from me (I’m… not doing an actual dissertation for a tumblr ask, sorry) but I will try to answer as best as I can regardless. This gets long so I’m putting it under a read more.

So, firstly, I will have to firmly ask that you to please refrain from agitating Pax any further. One of the prominent symptoms of severe Post NH virus Condition (PNHC) comes in the form of increased irritation/aggression along with emotional deregulation and to keep triggering that is to make an individual more hostile and more likely to.. uh.. respond with violence.. 

Though I doubt you’ll experience much of this aside from some harsh words from her, but as her doctor, I have to ask you leave her be for now so she doesn’t either bring herself or others harm. We really don’t need a situation to evolve because of this big misunderstanding. Also if you’re wondering why Ez is able to visit her, it’s because she trusts them deeply and Ez is unable to be notably harmed by Pax. Speaking with Ez does her a lot of good!

Anyway, you can find more specifics on the symptoms here on NH virus and here on the resulting PNHC, but generally speaking, when one gets infected with the Noctis Hectica (NH) Virus, it generally has a massively negative impact on the brain.. In some ways, it functions somewhat similar to a form of rabies, though there are key differences between the two retroviruses. The most notable being the physiological changes brought on by an infection of NH, with one of the biggest indicators being the changes to the eyes. Even in early stages, the eyes are usually one of the first things to be heavily altered, as patients tend to experience severe photophobia/eye pain, a rapid development of choroidal tapetum cellulosum, and loss of eye pigmentation, turning the previous eye color to a silvery-white color.

At the moment, two different vaccines have been developed, by yours truly, pre-exposure and post-exposure vaccines. We’re.. still trying to do drug discovery for the treatment of PNHC but so far, there seems to be no cure for it. This is more something that one has to manage with medication and other treatments such as therapy for years, possibly lifelong in the severe cases. It’s a very debilitating condition and those who are affected often need at least some level of support to manage it.

Most infected tend to be human but other animals (usually mammals but there was a jump to reptiles at a point) that have been reported to either carry or show symptoms of NH virus. Also I’d love to send more detailed documentation to you but.. that’s not my decision to make. Because I work with the Bioterrorism Security Assessment Alliance (BSAA) there are some things I am not allowed to disclose and quite frankly? I don’t really want to entrust this sensitive information to an organization I’ve never even heard of. And neither would my superiors.

Which speaking of… I’m afraid Pax is correct with her repeated statement to you. I don’t really know how else to put this to you but, what may be true to your dimension, is not inherently true to another. To assume that it is… extremely shortsighted at best and kind of arrogant at worst, considering you’ve been told twice (now thrice) that it wasn’t the case and yet you don’t seem to really get it.

I.. I understand it’s not something that’s easy to accept and I understand it’s a big adjustment to learn about the multiverse. But you need to listen to me when I say we literally do not have any these other organizations aside from OsCorp, which was a biotechnology company until very recently when they developed the NH virus and ended up causing a massive outbreak in the city of Baltimore, leading to hundreds of thousands of deaths (estimates are approx. 492,000 known deaths) and causalities (50,631) and disappearances (about 28,500 still unaccounted for) related to the Baltimore Incident as of 2082.

Though the situation is mainly secured by now, the Outbreak did a lot of damage to the city and surrounding neighborhoods and resulted in most of the population of Baltimore being either injured or killed as a result. Those responsible have also died during the outbreak but there are a few fugitives still at large, namely the former CEO of OsCorp, Nora Veronica Osborn. Hopefully, the BSAA will find her and she will be held responsible for the amount deaths and destruction her company has caused.

If the other organizations/persons/etc. mentioned existed as prevalently as you say it should in our dimension, I would know. Aside from being the guy who developed the first vaccines for the NH virus (and currently the only person who was not involved with OsCorp that is a leading expert on this virus as I studied it.. far too closely while was trapped in Baltimore), I am virologist and immunologist who has studied many different viral agents over the years, especially viruses that are tied to biological warfare such as the much older Tyrant Virus (T-Virus) and its variants.

So in short? Pax said it best: your experiences are not universal.

What is true in your universe may not even exist in another. Hope this clears everything up and no, I do not want to repeat myself anymore than I have to.

i just stumbled across far from my eyes and holy shit??? one of the most beautiful fics i’ve read in a WHILE. perfectly captures the clumsy and beautiful connection that occurs between friends all too often and how naturally those people fit into each other’s lives. i love when writing feels quiet. like when i read that the voice in my head was whispering as to not disturb this precious moment between two characters. i have so many wonderful things to say about your writing but i don’t know how to put it all into words. that fic made me forget i was reading. i hope you continue the series because i feel like writing like yours is hard to come across in any fandom AND in published writing.

thank you, thank you, thank you! writing is hard, and it sends me over the moon when readers let me know that the effect i wanted to achieve was achieved, especially with 'far from my eyes' because that was exactly what i wanted, those awkward and fumbling little steps of young love even if javi and the reader both knew each other for so long

and that idea of whispering?? i never thought about it like that and i've always struggled in trying to find how exactly to articulate the action and my thoughts in my writing without intruding on the scene or the flow of the words but not rambling on and on for hours at a time, now that i have a name to it, i'll definitely know what to be looking for when i keep writing

as for 'Don't Tell Me', i do plan on continuing it for sure but i first really do need to finish my finals for this semester as well as Narcos s3 (lol typical me to write for a show i haven't finished), and i have ideas for two marc spector series as well as a dieter bravo series, so it's merely a matter of me buckling down to write these four
