the plot. elita-1's team steals something important from shockwave's labs, and have to rush the autobot's scientific team off-planet to the current battlefront. shockwave manages to plant a tracker and follow their movements for a while, but eventually the tracker is discovered and destroyed.

meanwhile, skywarp and rumble are being punished for "fighting each other" and "causing structural damage to the nemesis" - by being made to watch over a ship full of volatile decepticon personalities. a bunch of bots that the decepticon high command were lowkey hoping would take each other out.

it just so happens that their current position is the closest to where shockwave thinks elita-1 escaped to... and so they're told to hunt down the ship at all costs.

both ships crash onto earth, completely shut off from their factions.

the autobot scientists have the technical prowess to make off-planet contact, but don't want to risk the decepticons on earth locating their current home base. elita-1's knack for military operations and tactics is a good starting point for an allyship with the american government, but she struggles to truly connect with the people of earth. she's no optimus prime, and she knows it. not only that, but the decepticons on earth are spontaneous and hard to track the patterns of. it's a nightmare.

elita-1's frustrations are slightly relieved when she begins getting anonymous warnings about decepticon movement, a few weeks after they crash. it sparks a new struggle in her: how much trust does she want to put into her decepticon source? what is victory worth, to her? is she betraying the autobot cause by being less noble than optimus would want her to be?

the decepticons are overall too dysfunctional - with bots like slipstream, airachnid, diabla, oil slick, misfire, and tarantulas, (and rumble, who keeps starting fights for no reason) skywarp has her hands absolutely full. she's stuck trying to keep them from destroying the planet before they can restore their ship and get back to their army. she also has literally no experience in leading military options. it's a nightmare.

skywarp, though she doesn't care about humans one bit, realises that she's possibly the only decepticon who doesn't want to destroy the planet they're stranded on. there are a million things troubling her. how is she supposed to be a leader when she's content being a good soldier? why does misfire keep shooting their own bots? why is it easier to imitate losers like starscream and thundercracker than it is to actually put effort into being a leader? is she betraying the decepticon cause if she's sending little notes to the autobots, hoping that they'll stop the planet from being exploded? will rumble ever STOP trying to fight her?

[The ungumani is a legend from the Piedmont region of Italy, said to be created by the shed evils of pilgrims traveling to a shrine in Lerma. This plays in nicely to some of the stuff I've written before about alignments acting like bioaccumulation. But it wasn't until a recent screening of Razorback by my friend @bowelfly that the gears on this entry started turning. One of the most stylish monster movies of the 80s, and the titular Razorback in the movie does seem to be as much an incarnation of violence as much as it is an actual animal. The stats themselves are intended to be easy to use in encounter building with boars (CR 2), dire boars (CR 4) and my own feral hog troop (CR 8).]

Ungumani CR 8 CE Outsider (native) This bestial humanoid has the bristly hide and head of a giant boar. Its shoulders are stooped, but it still stands taller than a man. Its tusks are curved and it has blade-like teeth in its too-long jaws, and its beady red eyes gleam with malevolence.

Ungumani are horrible creatures that combine aspects of humanoid and boar, and are the culmination of a complex life cycle born of sin. When a powerful evil soul atones for its sins before death, the sin itself is expelled but still seeks quintessence to bind to and drag towards the ravenous Abyss. Possibly because of their omnivorous scavenging, and possibly because of their association with uncleanliness, pigs are some of the best receptacles for this loose sin. A pig exposed to such sins mutates into an enormous, carnivorous boar (use statistics for a dire boar with the man eating template), and after consuming enough sapient, and thus sinful, life, metamorphoses again. The back of the boar splits open like the skin of a dragonfly nymph, and an ungumani emerges.

All ungumani are the epitome of wickedness, and all of them seek to indulge their sins and prey on sapient creatures. Each ungumani is tied to one of the seven deadly sins, and each ungumani has a variety of magical gifts it can use to protect itself, hurt its victims, or go undetected. These spell-like abilities are tied to the schools of sin magic practiced by Thassilonian wizards, and some sages speculate that the ungumani’s origins date back to that wicked empire. As such, different ungumani may have radically different tactics depending on their spells. Slothful ungumani are the only ones likely to withdraw from even a losing battle; the other sins typically fight until slain.

Ungumani still feel affinity for their porcine origins, and so often keep boars and dire boars as livestock and hunting companions. When seeking the company of others of their kind, some are drawn to members of their own sinful lineage, whereas others (especially envious or greedy ungumani) seek out those of other sins to broaden the skills of the band. Ungumani cannot breed among themselves but are disgustingly cross fertile with boars. The children of such unions are born as man eating dire boars, each one an ungumani “larva”.

I feel like Cyrus would definitely have a sort of Cubic vibe to him personality-wise, considering he's the counterpart of a caretaker. (Much like Cubic.) The main difference would be that Cyrus would probably have a sort of unserious vibe to him, maybe maniacal. That's kinda just how I see him. :'D

I think that Cyrus and Circubit would be friends. Considering Circubit's past, it gives me the idea that the two were friends once, but then fell apart. (Won't go too deep into Circubit's lore, since this post isn't about him lmao) With both of them (Cyrus/Circubit) being corrupted, I get the vibe they would finally get the chance to get along pretty well. I mean, they're both evil. And have you SEEN the ships- /j

Pentellow would definitely be terrified of Cyrus. Maybe Cyrus could infect Pentellow, but seeing how the events of season two are unfolding, I doubt it. A shape can dream, though.

I can very easily imagine a scene sometime in season 2 where Cyrus breaks down laughing like an absolute fucking madman. Probably while his girlfriend is hiding from him, too. (Maybe with Cube, and ***MAYBE*** Pyrare.)
