nìfnu [nɪ.ˈfnu] adv. silently
Anonymous Request: Can I have a story where it’s Ao’nung x Metkayina Reader who’s deaf and a sweetheart. When the Sullys arrive she doesn’t really interact with them so when they see Ao’nung being kind and protective towards her it they feel confused? Just pure fluff.
Lo'ak leans over and nudges his older sister, Kiri, forcefully on the arm.
"Ouch!" she yelps. "What, Lo'ak?"
He points, and she follows the line from his finger. It leads her eyes to Ao'nung, just a few paces down the beach from them, and he's with a Metkayina girl that Kiri doesn't recognize. She's tall, nearly as tall as Ao'nung, with her long hair pulled back into one large, thick braid. She wears a thin, shiny net over her shoulders, and Kiri notes how pretty it is. It glimmers in the sun. Kiri also notes how, even though Ao'nung and this girl are above walker, they are using the hand-speak to communicate.
"That girl. Neteyam tried to talk to her earlier, but she ignored him. And there she is, being so nice to Ao'nung. Who's an asshole."
Kiri elbows her sibling. "To you, he is. He looks like he's being perfectly friendly to that girl. And, I mean, she's very pretty."
"Why are they using the hand speak? They're not in the water."
Kiri shrugs. "How should I know? Stop elbowing me when you want something, Lo'ak. It hurts."
He groans and rolls his eyes, and turns his attention back to Ao'nung and the girl who rejected Neteyam.
--
"How are they adjusting?" I sign to Ao'nung, who shrugs and rolls his eyes. It's no secret that he resents having to teach the newcomers their ways, but I think it's nice. Ao'nung needs to humble himself sometimes, be more like his kind little sister.
"They are slow," Ao'nung signs in return. "I don't want to teach them. It's a waste of my time."
I reach out, pushing on his arm a little. "They seem sweet to me, especially the little one. Try to have patience with them. I would offer to help, but they don't know how to talk to me."
"Yet," he replies, and I smile.
"Yet."
--
Neteyam asks Tsireya about the girl, Y/N, the next day. He's noticed that she only uses hand-speak as well, and wonders.
"She can't hear," Tsireya says. "She's only spoken that way her whole life."
Neteyam could smack himself. He'd taken her silence as harsh rejection, when really, she just wasn't able to respond to him.
"Oh!" he exclaims. "She's, uh, really beautiful."
Tsireya laughs and smiles. "She is, but I wouldn't trouble yourself. Ao'nung has been in love with her for years." She throws a glance to her brother over her shoulder, but he's too busy making fun of Lo'ak to hear.
"Ao'nung?" Neteyam replies hardly, and Tsireya laughs even harder.
"I know. He has a soft spot for her, and her for him. If you want to compete, you'll have to learn hand-speak."
Neteyam shakes his head. She's beautiful, but not worth getting in a fight with the chief's son over. He'll just have to admire her from afar.
--
Though I can't speak, I am very proficient in reading lips. This helps me observe conversations from far away; as long as I have a clear view of someone's face, I can usually figure out what they're saying.
"Ao'nung has been in love with her for years."
That's what Tsireya said, and though she was smiling, it didn't seem as if she was joking. I dropped the plate of fruit I was carrying when she said it.
Is it true? Has Ao'nung been in love with me, and I haven't noticed?
Fruit is scattered all around my feet, and I bend over to begin gathering it again, every interaction I've had with Ao'nung recently playing over in my mind. If Tsireya is right, maybe I have been blind.
Ao'nung has always been kind, and patient and gentle with me. I knew he wasn't like that with many people, but I thought it was most likely out of pity for my condition - not out of love of affection.
A hand reaches out, picking up fruit and dropping it into my basket, and I look up to see Ao'nung himself.
Feeling flustered, I stand up, kicking the fruit basket once again, undoing all my work.
"Are you okay?" Ao'nung signs. I tuck my hair behind my ears, feeling a little speechless. "Y/N, what's wrong?"
"Tsireya," I sign, "she told the new boy, the oldest one, that you are in love with me. Is she just teasing him, because he thinks I'm pretty?"
"He said he thinks you're pretty?" Ao'nung signs back, quickly and furiously, glancing over his shoulder at where his sister still sits with the newcomers.
I shove his shoulder. "Yes! Answer my question."
"Well... come with me." Ao'nung reaches out, grabbing my hand and therefore silencing me, and pulls me away from the beach. We move through many huts, past the fires, and to the edge of the beach, where the sparse forest and rocks begin. Here, we are alone.
"Ao'nung!" I exclaim, breathless. "What's going on?"
He rubs his forehead. "I had a plan, to tell you. It wasn't going to be like this. I'm going to kill Tsireya."
I stand, silent, waiting for him to finish. My heart is beating out of my chest, and my palms are shaking; I'm not sure I could speak, even if I wanted to.
"For a long time, I have loved you, Y/N. I have tried to be more... understanding, and gentle, the way you deserve. But it's hard for me. I wanted to be better, before I told you. Before I asked you to be my mate."
Unable to control myself, I gasp, and bring my hands up to my mouth.
Me, the mate to the next Olo'eyktan? It's unimaginable.
"Your parents approve the match?" I ask.
Ao'nung smiles at me softly. "Of course. When I told them how much I love you, they couldn't object. They believe you will make a wonderful Tsahik, because you are so kind and understanding. My mother will teach you everything you need to know - if you want."
That thought alone is a little overwhelming, since Ronal can be so intimidating, but I also imagine she can be a good teacher.
And really, that doesn't matter. What matters is the way I feel when I'm with Ao'nung; special, adored, loved, doted upon. I feel safe with Ao'nung. I feel seen and most importantly, heard.
"I would be proud to be your mate, Ao'nung. So proud. Of course, I love you."
The smile that spreads across his face transforms Ao'nung from the sullen, anxious, grouchy man most have come to know him as. It turns him into the carefree, light and happy man he is when the two of us are together.
I am proud to make him smile like that. I promise myself then, to make him smile like that every day, for the rest of our lives.

Brook only wears the absolute grooviest of clothing at all times.
That’s just gonna have to be there 👆 tumblr likes to glitch out my posts.
Dont give chopper caffeine. He’ll either have a heart attack or operate on 5x speed, its a gamble every time.
robin and franky love watching home improvement shows, house hunters, how its made, myth busters, and other technical shows together.
When Luffy shows robin memes on his phone, she takes out her reading glasses and holds the phone like a mom does. Ya know that squint. You know.
Jinbei used to be a trucker and had a convoy with s bunch of his truckin’ buddies. They had matching leather jackets with “the sun truckers” embroidered on the back
Franky has a wig closet. It is vast. If you went in there you'd think you were in Narnia or something
Chopper is BEYOND CONVINCED that Sabo is a vampire.
One day, sabo volunteered as an assistant in a medical class chopper was taking. He was acting as chopper’s patient as he was learning the patient procedures of a checkup.
It was all going fine, chopper got all the patient identification out of the way and next was to acquire blood pressure, breath count, and heart rate. But the stethoscope and pressure monitor wasn’t working, and it make it seem like Sabo,,, didnt have a pumping heart,, or blood,,, or really breathed at all(he doesnt take very visible breaths).
Chopper was stricken with fear at this and assumed the absolute worse as he looked in horror at Sabo’s naturally pale complexion and long canine teeth. Chopper simply jotted down the average count of each recording instead of getting new equipment, and tried not to think about it, but
“huh, all of those numbers are usually lower than that. Maybe all that Special Concoction™ i drink is finally catching up to my heart rate.”
“how much have you.. drunk?”
“like for today? Or since I woke up.”
Chopper is fucking horrified. Sabo woke up to being a vampire and drinks blood as a special concoction. He cannot believe this.
”Never mind, I don't need to know, its all normal, you're normal.”
“Wow… that's the first time a medical practitioner has called me normal. My brothers are gonna get a real kick outta this.”
CHOPPER IS FUCKING HORRIFIED. HE HAS BRETHEREN??? Chopper just keeps his head down and finishes up the check up practice as Sabo remarks he has another class in the blood bank, which was lemon in the paper cut for chopper.
For a month or so after that day, Chopper didn’t see Sabo at all, and he forgot about his fear for a little while. However one night as chopper was hanging with Luffy and a few others in the straw hat friend group, there was a knock at the door. Chopper happily said “I’ll get it~” as the rest of the group continued in conversation.
Chopper skips over to the door and when he opens it, he sees the figure of Sabo standing in front of him. Tall and opposing, smiling a big toothy grin with bright blue eyes shining from the overhead lighting. He’s wearing a long trench coat with the collar popped and an ascot was wrapped around his neck.
What chopper was seeing before him.
Was the vampire.
He let out a scream right out of a horror film and promptly fainted.
Tumblr media
A minute or two later, he awoke laying on the couch, feet elevated and vest unbuttoned, to his friends looking at him from the foot of the couch.
He goes to stand up, but a strong gloved hand stops his movement and guides him back down
“Don't get up too quickly, little man.”
Chopper looked next to him and saw The Vampire. What was he doing in his house?!?!?
“Are you alright, bud? You opened the door for me, screamed in my face, and then passed out.”
“I’m fine, thank you,” Chopper said with the highest voice-crack to word ratio in his entire life.
“Right. Well again, dont get up too quickly, if you need water or anything let your friends know. I just came here to pick up Luffy cuz some family stuff came up. Have a good night!”
“…you too, and thanks for taking care of me…”
“No prob!”
“One last question?” Inquired chopper.
“What's up?”
“Did someone invite you in?”
the end
PS: Sabo's "special concoction" consists of Red Bull and Espresso. He hasn't slept in 72 hours. This will have lasting effects on his health.
thats all for now! thanks for reading~

Guiding Star (Jinbe x Reader)
Warnings: 18+ MDNI, gn afab! reader, monsterfucking, Jinbe has two dicks, oral sex (m receiving), double penetration, belly bulge, Jinbe talks you through it
WC: 4.6k
Summary: You have a big, giant, fat crush on your newest crew mate, Jinbe. You don’t hold out any hope that he likes you back but you’ve been convinced you should at least give it a shot. Who knows? Maybe he does like you back.
Notes: if jinbe is OOC I’m sorry but I watched every clip and video I could get my hands on. I just had to write some monsterfucking ok? Ok.
Tumblr media
It’s embarrassing how much you’ve been staring at the newest crew member. But how could you not?
Jinbe, former warlord and knight of the sea was now the helmsman for the Thousand Sunny and you found him occupying your thoughts quite frequently. At first you were intimidated by him- incredibly tall stature and his battle prowess left nothing to the imagination of what he could do to anyone who got in his way. But as you saw him around the ship and his interactions with your fellow straw hats you saw a different side of him.
He was kind, he was polite, and the way his laugh boomed through the decks always made you smile. It was like he’d been a crew member for years now, fitting right into everyone’s routine effortlessly. You hadn’t talked to him one on one a lot but every time you did it was a wonderful conversation. If he let you you could probably sit and listen to his stories for hours on end.
And there was… well…
He was hot.
Sure, maybe he wasn’t everyone’s taste but you honestly couldn’t wrap your head around why more people weren’t swooning over him. He was at least three feet taller than you and almost entirely muscle. Not that he looked it but when he easily hefted barrels over his shoulder like it was nothing you could only imagine what it would be like to be picked up and maneuvered around so easily. And when he lets his kimono fall past his shoulders and simply knot around his waist letting his broad shoulders and wide chest out-
God.
You were spending too much time around Sanji.
You honestly don’t mean to be a pervert. You spend a lot of time kicking yourself internally for how far your brain has traveled into the gutter. Most days you try not to spend too much time around the fishman, worrying that he will catch you staring or pick up on your feelings. That would just ruin everything- you might like him but chances are he wouldn’t return the emotions.
“You’re thinking about him again.” Robin’s voice startles you out of your thoughts and you whip around to see her standing there, arms crossed.
“I don’t know what you’re talking about.” You try to play it off, but Robin is clearly not having it.
“You have that love struck yet sad look on your face.” Robin states as she sits down next to you. “You’re thinking about a certain helmsman.”
You sigh. Robin had picked up on your crush probably before you did. It was nice to have someone to confide in but it was still embarrassing. “Maybe I am…”
“How many times do I have to tell you to just go talk to him?”
“See it sounds easy when you say it like that but you know it’s more complicated.” You sink back into the bench, arms folded.
“And avoiding a fellow crew member and constantly moping around isn’t making things complicated?” You cringe because of course she is right.
“But…” You lean onto Robin’s shoulder. “What if he doesn’t like me. I mean- it’s more likely that he doesn’t like me than he does really considering…” The whole human and fishman thing.
“You don’t know that. And even if he turns you down he’s a kind and understanding individual. He would never hold it against you.”
“You’re so smart…” You mumble into her shoulder.
“Yes, yes.” Robin pats your head. “Now what do you think about talking to him tonight.”
You shoot upright. “Tonight? That’s so soon I don’t-“
“He’s going to be up late redirecting our course so you can approach him when no one else is around. And it’ll be on deck so you can run away if anything happens.”
You think it over. Of course that seems like a good plan. But could you actually go through with it?
“Fine.” You relent, sagging back into the bench. “Tonight.”
“Good.” Robin claps her hands together. “This will be great. Trust me.”
And you do trust her. Enough to let the anxiety stir in your stomach for the rest of the day as you waited for the hours to pass by. Dinner was awkward for you, Robin shooting you looks as you tried not to make eye contact with anyone, afraid people will see how nervous you were. But dinner was over fast enough and everyone slowly made their way to bed. All except you and Jinbe. Slowly making your way up to the helm under the light of the stars you saw him.
Seeing him at the wheel sent a wave of calm over you. He was always so capable and you know that your crew and the Thousand Sunny were safe in his capable hands. Jinbe must have sensed you hovering as he glances over your way. A large smile comes over his face when he realizes it’s you.
“You’re up late.” He comments, not fully turning away from his duty but keeping an eye on you.
“Oh, yeah, just…” You walk the final strides to be next to him- not close by any means but average conversation distance. Hopefully. “Wanted to talk.”
“Oh?” Jinbe drops one hand from the helm to face you properly. When his attention is on you you feel your heartbeat quicken and your nerves rise.
“I uh… I’m really not sure how to say this…” You can’t make eye contact with him, eyes glued to the planks of the deck.
“If I’ve done something to offend you-“ Jinbe sounds concerned and that sends a pant of guilt through you.
“No! Nothing like that actually-“ You take a deep breath. You just had to rip off the bandaid. “I like you. In a romantic capacity.”
You want to fling yourself off the deck and let the ocean take you for how awkward that just sounded. Still unable to look at him you’re left wondering what is going through his head as silence hangs in the air.
“Ah. I understand.” Finally comes Jinbe’s response. It’s just what you’re expecting, something small and polite that hints that you should drop it. Of course. At least it’s over now and you-
“I feel the same way.”
What?
Your eyes dart up from the deck to Jinbe’s face and you see him smiling wide, all teeth. You search for some hint of a joke or deception but can’t find it. He turns his attention back to the helm, turning it ever so slightly and leaving you to flounder.
“Oh. Okay then.” Was all you could think to say, standing there wondering what the hell just happened.
The sound of the water lapping against the boat was barley audible over your own heartbeat thrumming in your ears. Do you go now? Do you stand here? Are you supposed to be saying something?
“Do you want to see something?” Jinbe’s deep voice grabs you out of your thoughts to see him looking down at you. You nod, and he steps back from the helm and motions for you to take his place.
With slight hesitation you step behind the wheel. You feel him move behind you and you realize when you hear his voice next to your ear that he’s kneeled down.
“So if you look up here…” His hand travels past your shoulder, pointing. “Do you see that bright star?”
He’s so close you can feel the warmth of his breath on your neck and you have to purposefully slow your breathing. You follow his finger and look up into the night sky. It takes you a second to find it amongst the hundreds of brilliant lights but eventually you do- one shining just a bit brighter than the rest.
“I think I do.” You whisper, not trusting yourself to speak louder.
“That’s the star that navigators use to anchor everything. Nami and I split the job of directing the ship but she always gives me directions in relation to that star. Almost every single person on this world uses that star to guide them.”
You’ve heard mention of this star before, being on the sea for as long as you had, but the way he explains it to you and how he’s practically surrounding you while he does so is a whole new experience. “Wow.”
“It’s one of those things I remember when we all get so caught up in our differences. We all have more in common than we might think. We all have the same stars.” His hand falls and it skims your side as it does so and you shiver.
“That’s beautiful.” You say, still staring up at the stars.
“Not quite as beautiful as you.” His voice had dropped an octave and the way it reverberated through your chest made your breath hitch.
“You can’t just say things like that.” You know your face is completely flushed from his words and how damn close he was to you.
“Why not? I thought you liked me.” His tone was teasing and you huffed.
“Yes- but- this is all so embarrassing.” You bury your hands in your face, mortified about how poorly you were handling everything.
You felt large hands gently turn you around and you wanted to retract further out of sheer embarrassment. Even though you have your eyes screwed shut under your hands you still feel his gaze on you.
“You’re going to have to look at me at some point.” You can hear the humor in his voice and you suck in a breath and drop your hands.
He’s on one knee in front of you but his face is still a bit higher than yours. It’s closer than it’s ever been before and you find yourself scanning his face and taking in every detail. The way his fangs shine in the moonlight, his smooth blue skin, and the deep scar across his right eye. You can even see a faint blush creep over his cheeks, a deep purple against light blue.
“If I didn’t know any better I would think you’d never seen a fishman before.” He says, taking you out of your trance.
“I just- you’re so handsome.” You admit, finally able to lock eyes with him.
“It’s not often people say that to me.” It’s his turn to break away from your gaze.
“I don’t understand that at all. But maybe I am glad no one snatched you up before I could.” You feel emboldened by seeing his reaction to your compliment.
“Just maybe?” Jinbe’s eyes find yours again as his hand finds your shoulder. You lean into the touch as his thumb rubs small circles into your skin.
“I’m really glad no one snatched you up before I could. And also that you like me as well.”
“You really thought I wouldn’t?” His motions don’t cease and you feel your nerves leaving you.
“I really did. I mean I was terrified you would think I was some pervert or something.” You admit.
“Pervert? Why?” He sounds genuinely confused.
“Well- I mean-“ You shift on your feet slightly. “I might have been staring at you. A lot.”
“Hm? Really now?” A finger comes up to your face and brushes across your cheek. “And while you were staring… what would you think about.”
His words make your stomach twist in anticipation and your breath quickens as you debate what to say. You could play it off, say something that would leave him thinking you were more put together than you were but with the way he’s looking at you…
“A lot of things. Mostly about how big and strong you are. How it would feel to touch you- be touched by you.” Once you started speaking the words just tumbled out. You searched Jinbe’s face for a reaction and are relieved to see him break into a huge smile.
“This might be too forward of me- and tell me if it is- but I could touch you. If you’d like.” He was so polite and so kind.
You lean into his hand, still on your face. “I would really love that.”
“Perfect!” His voice followed by a booming laugh makes you giggle. He stands up and you remember just how tall he is, butterflies fluttering in your stomach. “Hold on.”
You’re confused for a second before Jinbe easily scoops you up and throws you over his shoulder. You let out a small yelp that devolves into more giggles as you’re carried off. Even though you’re facing backwards you can tell where he’s going pretty fast- taking the ladder up to the crow’s nest. Typically unoccupied at this time of night it’s the one place on the ship you two could get some privacy.
He slides you off his shoulder gently and you have to take a second to reorient yourself. While you balance, Jinbe sits down on one of the benches and waits patiently for you. Once you collect yourself you take the few steps over to Jinbe, slotting yourself between his wide legs so you can get as close to him as possible. You pause, face hovering only inches from his as your eyes scan his face.
“You sure?” He asks softly, a finger moving a strand of hair behind your ear.
“Yes.”
He looks at you for a moment more before finally moving in to kiss you.
It was unlike any other kiss you’d had before. His lips were surprisingly soft and smooth as they pressed against yours gently. He moved slowly and he was able to keep his tusks from scraping you. You felt their presence though, cool and hard on the sides of your mouth. The kiss was was everything you thought it would be and more.
You found yourself leaning into him, supporting yourself on his shoulders as large hands came to gently hold you at your sides. His hands encompass your waist and heat pools in your stomach at that fact.
You loose track of time kissing him as your hands and his explore each others bodies. His skin is smooth and cool under your touch, different but not unwelcome. Rough fingertips find your skin just under your shirt, raising it up a few inches just so he can feel you. The two of your drift like this for what feels like hours until the heat under your skin builds up and you need more.
“Jinbe-“ You whine as you break away from the kiss.
“Hm? What do you need?” He asks, his thumb rubbing circles into your hip.
“Can I-“ You fight through the embarrassment and sink down to your knees in front of him. Your hands smooth over his thighs as you look up at him. His eyes are wide in surprise and lust and you see his chest rising and falling with heavy breaths.
“You don’t have to. It’s…” He trails off but your hands are at the knot in his kimono, slowly untying.
“I want to. Please?” You bat your eyes and he’s gone. He nods and you finish your work on the knot and gently part the fabric.
Of course you had thought about what he would look like. Rumors about what fishmen genitalia looked like always hung around but you never met anyone with first hand experience, no one you would trust to actually have a real story. You had ideas, hopes maybe, but what was sitting in front of you was beyond what you imagined.
Mostly because there was two of them.
Two smooth members were erect and flush against Jinbe’s stomach. Starting off thinner and tapering to impossibly thick at the base they look like they could have been one larger cock before being split down the middle. Just one of them was far larger than anything you’ve ever seen and both of them together? Well you know there’s no possible way all of him will fit inside you. But that doesn’t mean you don’t want whatever your body could possibly take.
“Like I said- you don’t have to-“ Jinbe’s slightly nervous voice sounds above you and you realize you’ve probably been staring for a while.
“No!” You answer, embarrassingly eager. “This is-“
You can’t find the proper words so you decide to show him.
Taking the right one into your hand you press a kiss to the very base, enjoying the way he shuddered under your touch. You continued upward, pressing sloppy kisses and leaving his cock slick with your saliva. After thorough attention you repeated your actions on the other. You watch as Jinbe’s hands fist in the fabric pool around his thighs, relishing in the small grunts and groans you are able to get out of him.
Satisfied with your preparation you bring both your hands around both his members, pushing them together as you slowly pump down and then back up. You hold your hands there and take both tips into your mouth. Above you Jinbe hisses and you feel one of his hands shoot up to the back of your head. He just holds it there, fingers weaving into your hair but you know he’s holding himself back.
Your tongue swirls around the tips as you take more into your mouth. You don’t get far but that doesn’t seem to matter to Jinbe as you feel his fingers grip your hair tighter as you work. Pulling off you stop holding the two together and instead gently maneuver them apart, running your tongue down through the gap as your hands gently worked up and down.
“Fuck-“ You don’t think you’d ever heard Jinbe swear before but the husk in his voice sends a fresh wave of heat to your core. “You feel so good.”
His encouragement is all you need. You take just one of his cocks in your mouth this time and you’re able to take him farther down. Flattening out your tongue and relaxing your throat you’re able to take almost half of him down your throat. His hand grips your hair tighter but doesn’t hold you down and the slightly pain of having your hair pulled keeps you grounded. You keep him there as long as you can until you have to pull yourself off, saliva running down your chin as you pant for air. As you catch your breath Jinbe’s hand smooths over your hair and you hear Jinbe whispering soft praises to you. Finally ready, you take a deep breath and repeat your motions to the other cock as you slowly pump the one covered in your saliva. When you go to switch back the hand at your head stops you, gently directing your gaze up.
“Get back up here.” The soft but firm command has you standing up immediately and he pulls you into a kiss.
There’s more heat in it this time as his hands move from your waist, over your ass, and to your thighs. With little effort he lifts you up and onto his lap, never breaking the kiss. You feel his hands come up and around to the waistband of your pants and you get the message. Reaching down you quickly unbutton and shove them down along with your underwear, maneuvering yourself so you can get them off and fling them to the side somewhere. You hover over his lap and with your knees on his thighs you remain face to face with him.
One of Jinbe’s hands stays at your waist, holding you in place while the other finally dips down between the two of you to where you need him most. Cool calloused fingers find your folds and he hums appreciatively.
“Soaking wet just from pleasuring me?” He smiles and you bury your face into his shoulder, embarrassed.
You feel his fingers part your folds and you feel the press of one large finger at your entrance. It has no trouble sliding in with how soaked you are. You moan into his shoulder and your arms come up to latch around his thick neck. The finger gently pushes in and out of you, the slick sounds filling the space.
“I have to ask.” His voice reverberates in your chest. “Do you want me inside you?”
“Please Jinbe.” You’re surprised at how needy you sound, practically whining.
“Then I’ll need to work you open.” Even just that promise has your breaths coming heavier.
A second finger finds its way to your entrance, gently sliding in next to the first. You already feel full and wonder what exactly you’ve gotten yourself into. But when he slowly scissors his fingers open you forget everything.
“Jinbe-“ Your fingernails can’t dig into his thick skin but that doesn’t stop you from trying.
“I know, I know.” He presses a kiss to your cheek. “You’re taking my fingers so well.”
You moan at his words as he continues to slowly work you open. It’s not too much longer before you feel a third finger threatening to join the other two.
“You can take it, just relax.” You do your best, taking deep breaths as a third thick finger enters you, making you feel impossibly full. His words, the slow but calculated actions, the feeling of fullness, it’s all too much.
“Jinbe- I’m- fuck-“ You stutter out unable to fully form a sentence.
“It’s ok, just let go. It’s alright just relax.” The hand on your hip runs gently over your side and you fall apart.
“That’s it. So good for me.” Jinbe whispers into your ear, his fingers still slowly working in and out of you through your orgasm. You press kisses to his shoulder as he keeps moving inside you, continuing to stretch you out.
“I need-“ You’re cut off by your own moan as Jinbe’s fingers hit that spot deep inside you.
“Tell me what you need love.”
You groan in frustration and pleasure. “You- I need you inside me please.”
“Anything you want.” His fingers pull out of you and you whine at the loss.
You look down between your bodies and see him take both of his dicks into his hand, using your slick to coat them. Mesmerized and a bit intimidated you stare down as both tips get aligned with your entrance.
“You don’t have to do this, it’s ok if we stop here.” His thoughtful words make you look into his eyes and you shake your head.
“No, I want this, as much as I can take.” You press a kiss to his mouth that he eagerly takes.
You have to pull away from his mouth as he enters you, one hand guiding himself and the other hand on your hip slowly pushing you down. Your mouth hangs open as you feel him enter you, stretching you out already. Focusing on your breathing you rest your forehead on Jinbe’s shoulder as you slowly sink further down.
“That’s it just breathe. You’re taking me so well.” You can hear a strain in his voice signaling that this is effecting him just as much as it is you.
“You’re- fuck-“ You swear loudly as you feel him gently touch your cervix. “That’s-“
“I feel it, it’s alright, I’ve got you.” Jinbe holds you up with one hand, allowing you to take the strain off your legs. You know you aren’t taking all of him in you, still a few inches away from his base.
The stretch feels impossible- like you’re about to split down the middle. You would be lying if you said it didn’t hurt, but you breathed through that pain and with soothing words from Jinbe in your ear you slowly begin to relax. Face still buried in Jinbes shoulder, you feel the hand not holding you come around to your front and a calloused finger presses against your clit. You try to say something, but you can’t form words, only moans and whines into the smooth skin of his shoulder.
“It’s okay love just let go.” He rubs slow circles into your clit.
“I don’t-“ You whine, embarrassed how fast you are already at your edge again.
“I want you to let go. Come apart on me. Just for me.” His words are like honey and you can’t help but grind on his finger pushing yourself over the edge.
“That’s it that’s-“ Jinbe groans as he feels your walls flutter around him. “You feel so good around me- so good.”
You push yourself up a bit so you can look at Jinbe. His face is just as flushed as yours, stormy eyes dilated with lust. “‘m ready.”
Jinbe nods and slowly lifts you up and you feel every inch dragging out of you before he lowers you back down. You watch Jinbe’s jaw go slack and you feel a a tinge of pride knowing he’s just as effected as you are. Watching his face you see his gaze go down between the two of you. The hand not moving you skates up over your stomach and you look down.
Underneath Jinbe’s palm you see your stomach bulge out with every thrust. His palm presses down against the bulge and it’s a sensation you’ve never felt before and both you and Jinbe moan loud.
“See me filling you up? You’re taking me so well watch-“ His voice is breathier and faster and you know he is getting closer to falling apart.
You’re mesmerized, watching him go in and out of you, seeing and feeling the stretch. You don’t know how your body will ever be the same after this, how anyone else could ever compare when you’ve been pushed to impossible limits by Jinbe.
“You like that don’t you?” Jinbe says, feeling the way your walls flutter as you watch him. “Are you close? I’m almost there-“
“Yes- shit I’m close-“ You tangle your hands in Jinbe’s hair, gripping right to ground yourself.
“You feel so good falling apart around me- need to feel that again- can you do that? Just for me love?” He moves you faster up and down as he pleads with you and for the third time tonight you cum.
Almost completely out of your body you still feel Jinbe moving in and out of you, still chasing his end. His careful movements stutter and you know he’s almost there.
“Jinbe- I want you to finish inside me- please-“ You whine, overstimulated but still needy.
That seems to be all he needed and you feel him thrust up into you one last time before releasing inside you. You feel him filling you up an impossible amount, his cum already spilling out of you and dripping down below.
He gently pulls you off of him and holds you close, a hand smoothing your hair as he whispers praises to you as you regain your senses. It’s not long before he’s standing up with you still in his arms and before you know it you’re in the showers and Jinbe is carefully washing you off in the warm water.
By the time you’re cleaned up you feel alright to stand, wrapping yourself in a bathrobe as you cling to Jinbe’s side. You know he has to go back to his watch but you don’t want to leave him and he senses that.
“You can stay with me, if you’d like.” He offers as the two of you walk out of the showers. You nod and he immediately picks you up again, carrying you back to the helm.
He sits on the bench of the deck, leaning back as you curl up and get comfortable in his arms. Under the stars and in the arms of your new lover you fall asleep, excited for what your new relationship will hold.

Tumblr media
Okay, don’t panic.
Do not panic.
It’s just a man. A man with blonde, curly locks, blue eyes, over 6 feet tall… but still, a man. Nothing special. You could probably find ten of him walking down Rodeo Drive.
Except that’s probably not true either.
It is Austin Butler, after all.
You hike the tail of your dress higher as you descend up the stairs to the red carpet, inhaling as much oxygen as possible to tame your nerves. It does nothing for you beside provide a placebo effect of calmness. Your publicist, Jane, stands next to you with her eyebrows furrowed in permanent worry, a crinkle she’s had since the day she took you on. “[Y/N], did you get a chance to look at your seating arrangement?”
“Uh, no, not yet,” You respond slowly, wincing slightly as you brace yourself for her reaction. She sighs, pinching the bridge of her nose before turning towards you.
“You know what, that’s fine, sweets. Just go stand on the carpet so we can take these pictures,” She goes back to her clipboard full of tedious things like timing and interviewers and stupid seating arrangements, and you’re trying to stay focused, but how can you do that when Austin Butler is standing 8 feet away from you, posing on the red carpet?
You’re pretty sure you’re drooling.
Whoever keeps leaving his shirts unbuttoned is a menace to society and needs to be locked away for endangerment to the general public.
This whole idiotic schoolgirl crush began relatively long ago, when he was still deeply in love with Vanessa Hudgens and playing a teen heartthrob on The Carrie Diaries. You weren’t even famous at that point, just a mediocre commercial actress trying to get her big break. Once you finally booked your first big role, the crush faded away (only the tiniest amount) but that all came crashing down like an avalanche when you saw Elvis with your best friend.
They probably could’ve posted the entire movie on a porn website and made the same amount of money. And, thus, your crush ensued, full throttle and invading your every thought at the worst moments. Including this one.
Jane kicks the back of your leg, cursing under her breath as you tear your eyes away from him. You’re not new to this scene, you’ve been in major leading roles and you’ve been nominated for Oscars. But that doesn’t take away from the fact that at your core, you are a complete and utter mess. A klutz. A loser with some money in the bank.
So, you take the pictures, with not too many mistakes as you expected, just a few shots of you blinking while smiling. You’re sure they’ll end up on Twitter where your fans will laugh about it while saying how much they love you.
This part always goes by fast. It’s camera flashes, smiles that are strained under the bright lights, talks with interviewers that always go far longer than expected, and then before you know it, you’re being ushered into a tight room with celebrities you had only dreamed of seeing in real life. Jane is glued to your side as you wait for your turn to enter the theater.
Despite the cool temperature of Los Angeles, you’re somehow drenched in sweat. You’ve done this before, you know that. But that doesn’t stop your entire body from going into fight or flight mode, teetering towards flight.
“What’s the hold up?” You hear a female’s voice yell out, and you almost think it’s Jane before you hear her chuckle beside you.
“Speak that truth. I am so sick of these fucking Oscars dimwits wasting my time,” Jane says loudly enough for the girl to hear it, and before you know it, they’re enthralled in a full-blown conversation. If you weren’t trying to fan your armpit sweat, you might’ve joined.
Maybe it’s a good idea to find out where you’re sitting. Probably will need to know that before you enter. You can only assume they’ll sit you next to your last co-star, Timothee Chalamet. What a delight that would be (and that’s not sarcasm, he always smells like cashmere and some type of forest.)
You turn your body slightly, eyeing Jane and the girl she’s talking to. She’s a redhead, also wearing a suit and clearly another publicist that has been in the position for far too long to enjoy it.
Out of the corner of your eye, you notice a male figure standing next to the redhead. Hm. A black suit. Your eyes trail over his body, a soft black lace shirt that is half-unbuttoned peeking over the hem. How nice. You love that look on men.
Oh, fuck.
Oh, fuck.
Your body freezes. Mouth runs dry. Sweat shrivels back up into your body only to start forming at impossible speeds. Heart palpates so quickly you think you might be going into cardiac arrest.
In front of you, is Austin Butler. And he completely, totally, entirely, caught you checking out his entire body, head to toe.
There’s a smirk on his face that is undeniably directed towards you, eyes glimmering with amusement. You can’t even believe that you’re looking directly at him. He can’t be real, he has to be a figment of your imagination.
“Come here often?”
You did not just speak.
No, you didn’t. That couldn’t have been real. That couldn’t have been what you just said. After years of dreaming about this moment, that can’t have been what your brain and tongue agreed on.
He chuckles, a deep one that rumbles through his chest, and says, “I try not to make it a habit. You?”
You entangle your fingers with each other, hoping the sweat that has gathered on them just slides right off. “Me either. Trying to cut down on my presence and all that.”
He raises his eyebrows quizzically, that soft smile that curves upon his lips widening a little, “Well, can’t say the Oscars is the best place to do that.”
“Yes, well…” You trail off. Thoughts empty. Brain just a shallow void with nothing but dirty, filthy fantasies about him floating around. Oh god, get a grip.
And he should end the conversation right there, then back around and not acknowledge the weird girl who clearly hasn’t had enough media training. But, he doesn’t. Instead, he sticks out his hand for you to shake, and says, “I’m Austin. Austin Butler.”
“I know,” You say almost immediately. His facial expression contorts into something unreadable, and your lips flap again to try and salvage the rest of your dignity. “I’m [Y/N].”
You shake his hand, praying to some otherworldly creature above that he won’t feel the sweat on your hands. It’s a little weird, when you touch his hand. Feels like you’re envisioning yourself with him, like you’re some kind of wizard that can tell it won’t be the last time you see him. It feels a little like something out of a rom-com, with the electricity zap and the sounds of your hearts beating erratically.
You both pull your hands away, smiling to the ground. You really, really, really hope he’ll keep talking to you.
“Nervous?” He asks, taking note of the way your thumbs twiddle and the sidestep you keep doing with your heels.
“A little. Kinda. Maybe,” You let out a sigh of relief. “I’m not really the most organized.”
“Hm. Well, I’m sure you’ll be great,” His grin widens just enough to show off his pearly white teeth that glimmer under the remaining sunlight that California has to offer.
“Thanks,” You smile back. “How about you? Nervous?”
“Always,” He responds, almost taken aback by the transparency he’s having with another celebrity. He’s never had a conversation about nerves, never felt validated enough by someone to open up about the fear that comes along with being at this level of fame. “It’s my first Oscars.”
“Right,” You say, “Well, I’ve been to a few, and honestly, I’ll let you in on a secret. Even Leonardo DiCaprio shits himself a little when the nominees are announced.”
He lets out a laugh, a real one, one that sounds like all good things in the world and you would be more than happy to capture it in a jar and keep it on your bedside forever. “Somehow, I don’t doubt that,” He switches gears, shifting his body around a little. “What afterparty are you going to?”
It’s a simple question, one you’ve been asked numerous times by other people in the industry. It usually offers a sense of dominance over who got the better invite. “Er, yes, that would be a question for my lovely publicist, Jane, because I don’t have a rat’s ass idea of where I’m supposed to go.”
He laughs. Again. Part of you is enthralled, part of you is confused as to why he thinks you’re a comedy show. Maybe he thinks you’re a joke. Yes, that makes good sense. “That honestly makes me feel better because I don’t really know where I’m going either,” He admits.
“Are you kidding?” You ask incredulously. “You look like that and you don’t know where you’re going? I think the President of the Academy Awards has a personal invite waiting for you.”
Okay, maybe you shouldn’t have said that. But really, it has to be blamed on the fact that there are a swarm of murderous bees flying around in your stomach that are making you feel woozy.
His cheeks turn a crimson glow, “Like that?”
“Oh, you know…” You trail, slowly laughing to brush off the fact that you basically just admitted your undying love to him. “Just…. That’s a great black shirt. I’m gonna buy one for my brother.”
His lips curve upwards a little more, blue eyes sparkling like little oceans. “Thanks. And, you know, you don’t look bad yourself.”
You blink twice. Did he just say that?
Before you even whip up a flirty comment, or even a funny one that’ll have him doubling over in laughter and proposing to you by tonight, you feel Jane gripping your forearm tightly. “Stop dicking around, [Y/N]. We need to go in.”
“Right, yes, totally,” You smile awkwardly over to Austin, and he returns it. You feel soft and warm and glowy inside, like you might levitate off the floor.
And then you really are levitating off the floor, because your feet miss the step and you’re falling before you even have a chance to stop yourself. Your arm extends to try and delay your inevitable fall, but it doesn’t work and you’re really sprawled out. Immediately, Jane rushes down to try and drag you up, hurriedly asking if you’re okay.
You nod slightly, balancing yourself on your knees. Thankfully, you think the vast majority of people have entered the theater and missed out on your embarrassment of epic proportions.
Well, maybe not everyone.
Suddenly, like a light peeking from beyond the clouds, you see an outstretched hand to your right. It’s tan, a male’s hand for sure. You look up to see who could possibly be nice enough to help you up. Maybe it’s God telling you it’s time to pass away.
It’s Austin. And he has a really worried look on his face that you’re shocked by, but his expression falters once he sees the look on your face. You’re smiling, a real big goofy one, because it’s so ridiculous and he’s so ridiculous and you’re pretty sure one of your heels is broken.
You place your hand in his, and his other hand wraps around your waist to help you up and steady yourself against him. Once you’re finally standing, he grins, leaning into your ear, “Remember, even Leonardo DiCaprio shits himself at the table.”
You don’t even realize his arm is still wrapped around your waist until you notice the absence of it. You giggle lightly, biting your lip. “Of course. And I think I saw Brad Pitt throw up in the bathroom last year.”
“Austin, we gotta go,” His publicist grabs his hand, and you feel a pang of disappointment. You almost think he does too, his blue eyes turning grayish as he looks back at her.
“Right,” He clears his throat. “Well, good luck tonight, [Y/N]. I hope you win.”
“You too,” The smile on your face is probably permanently tattooed on. You feel Jane’s hand on your back, slowly moving you away from him although your feet beg to stay.
“Oh, and [Y/N]?” You turn back around to face him, “Big fan of your work.”
With that, he turns away with his publicist to go and find his seat amongst the crowd. You watch him disappear, an indescribable feeling washing over your entire body. You’re also being whisked away to your table, greeted by familiar faces and friends. But it’s pretty clear that’s not the reason why you’re smiling.
Some part of your brain decides on one thing: this won’t be the last time you see him.
▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓
You decide that you like California. Not a whole lot, but enough to make you sign a contract for a new film. Normally, you believe that Los Angeles and all its surrounding cities are a dreadful structure that encapsulates all the worst features of privileged Southern California lifestyle. But the food is undeniably tasty, and your new apartment is decorated with high ceilings and well-lit rooms, so you’ll make do. You’ll be filming in sunny Calabasas, where the houses are painted a perfect shade of white, where time stills a little and every cloud is just the right amount of fluffy.
The Oscar’s had came and went, and you won, to no one’s surprise but your own. With that accomplishment came offers. People really, truly wanted to work with you, and although it baffled you, Jane was having the time of her life coordinating auditions and interviews.
Everything was truly perfect.
You flip through the pages of your fresh script, your manicured nails turning through the warm pages, the black ink bleeding onto the sheets. Jane sits across from you, feverishly scribbling something, negotiating your pay for your new film. She’ll deliver. In the end, she always does.
She hangs up her call, sighing from relief. You’re about to ask her how it went, if you got the price you wanted, before her phone blares again with that god awful ringtone she refuses to change. She answers it, a cheerful tone in her voice, “Kate? So good to hear from you! What’s going on?”
You tune out of her conversation, focusing your eyes back on the mass of paper in front of you. A new story to be told. A new character to embody. A new chapter of your life. It’s all very emotional and sappy and you almost want to cry tears of happiness, but you’ll save that for later, once you get home and crack open a bottle of wine.
You hear Jane place her phone down, and your eyes flicker back up to her. There’s an expression on her face that’s unreadable, and you’re unsure of how to process it. Oh, no. If you didn’t get the price you wanted, that would suck. Or, maybe you did and she’s just unsure on how to process emotion. You always thought she was a robot.
“I just had the weirdest phone call,” She finally speaks, scratching her forehead quizzically.
“What’s up?” You ask mindlessly, certain she’s going to tell you something personal like her cousin getting married to a farmer.
“That was Austin Butler’s publicist. She said he’s been asking about you since the Oscars.”
There’s no fucking way. She’s pranking you. Any second now, Ashton Kutcher is going to pop out behind the doorframe and say “You’ve been Punk’d!” and then maybe he’ll also bring out Austin to further your embarrassment.
“Excuse me?” You blink.
“Yeah,” She seems just as baffled as you are. “She said he’s been trying to find a way to get in contact with you, but turns out, you guys don’t have a lot of mutual friends.”
Well, that makes sense.
She continues on, “Anyway, she gave me his number and then said he wants to ask you on a date. So, do with that what you will.”
She unlocks her phone, slides it across the table to you, and you see a phone number typed into her notes. Your hand trembles as you pick up the iPhone, copying the number into your own contacts. You feel woozy, just like you did on that red carpet, just like you did the moment you locked eyes with him.
“Right, well,” You clear your throat. “I’ll just step outside and call him real quick.”
She nods, raising one eyebrow. There’s a small grin that appears on her lips, a knowing one, and you slide out the door into the hallway.
You don’t know what comes over you, or what demon compels you, but you click the number. You hear the ring. There’s a pause. Your heart drops as you think that he might not answer.
And then you hear him. His voice.
“Hello?”
“Uh, h-hi. Hi. This is, um, [Y/N]. Your publicist gave me your number.”
It almost sounds ridiculous.
“[Y/N]. You know, I’ve been trying to get ahold of you but turns out you’re not an easy person to reach,” You can hear the smile in his voice.
“Well, you know me and my presence. All time low,” You say sarcastically, and he chuckles.
“Right. Well, congratulations on your win. Very well-deserved,” His voice is deeper than you remember. There’s a slight desire that pools between your legs for a moment before you snap yourself back into reality.
“You too. Some would call it the performance of the year,” And you can’t even believe it’s happening. You’re really flirting with him.
“Thank you,” He says so softly, so charming. He’s always grateful and humble, and it makes you even more attracted to him. If that’s even possible at this point. “So, do you think there’s a chance you would allow me to take you out to dinner? Somewhere lowkey, you know, for your presence and all?”
The question is so unbelievable that you can’t even take it in. You make a few sounds, splutter over your words and trip over them like you did your own two feet at the Oscars. Your heartbeat travels up to your eardrum, pounding with every ounce of blood that travels through you. “U-uh, umm… well, you know, let me go ahead and check my schedule.” There’s a pause. You cover the reciever and scream a silent yell into the void, jumping a few feet high.
Clearing your throat, you say, “Hm. Seems like I’m free tomorrow.”
“You can’t do tonight?”
The question takes you aback. Surely, he can’t be asking that because he wants to see you. “Oh, why? Are you leaving California tomorrow?”
“Not at all,” You hear him shuffle. “I just really want to take you out.”
“Right, yes, of course.” You let his question hang in the air. You know your answer, but you like letting him think there’s a possibility you might reject him.
“I am free tonight.”
“Great,” His voice is upbeat, a newfound excitement peeking through. “Well, text me your address. I’ll send a car to pick you up.”
“Yup, totally. Super duper cool. Looking really forward to it,” You babble on, pacing the hallway you’ve trapped yourself in.
He lets out a low laugh, “Me too. I’ll see you tonight. Bye, [Y/N].”
You say your goodbyes, leaning against the wall for stability before you collapse into a puddle. Later, a janitor might come to find your lifeless body glued to the wall. Cause of death? Man built like a Greek god asks woman on date.
But, everything is fine. You’ll somehow make it.
There’s a ridiculous feeling in your heart, a warmth that spreads to your toes and fingers. Now, everything is perfect.

Let's stay like that [Mizu x Reader]
============= Rating: E Pairing: Mizu x F!Reader Warnings: explicit 100% nsfw content under the cut; also mb awkward nsfw content idk Description: you and Mizu were going to train but things were escalated quickly bc you are a cute when angry short sweet bun.
To be honest I hesitated about this fic and rewrote it couple of times. It feels like something isn't there yet. But anyway who cares right? Let's go.
Tumblr media
=============
Sunlight filtered through the dense canopy, casting a dappled mosaic of light and shadow upon the forest floor. A heavy, concentrated scent of pines weighed down the air, as if the trees themselves were closing in on the surroundings. In the distance, you heard the soothing sounds of a nearby stream. Mizu's athletic form seemed to merge with the shifting shadows as she faced you, her piercing blue eyes locked onto yours. With practiced grace, she swept her hair into a samurai bun, standing tall, preparing for the duel.
You both exchanged bows, as your father had taught you. This was how a new type of conversation should begin, he had said. One that spoke through actions and unspoken thoughts instead of words. Assuming a stance, you held your wakizashi slightly raised, its tip directed toward your opponent, poised for defense. You studied Mizu, attempting to discern her intentions. If I charge recklessly, she'll cut me down, you thought. I must wait for her move. But instead of attacking you right away, she moved to the side, pulling you both in circling motion.
Mizu's voice was a low, resonant hum that echoed through the clearing as she teased, "Do you need me to kneel down to make it a fair fight?" You couldn't help but frown, though a smirk threatened to form at the corners of your lips. This mixture of annoyance and laugh was exactly what Mizu aimed for. She’s pretty when she’s angry, Mizu thought, settling into her fighting stance.
In the serene isolation of the forest glade, Mizu and you squared off, the anticipation crackling in the air. Mizu, her katana gleaming in the dappled sunlight, moved with fluid precision, her every step a testament to years of disciplined training. You faced her with a wakizashi, its shorter blade a contrast to Mizu’s blade, demanding swifter, more agile movements. The duel commenced with a swift and silent motion; Mizu's katana arced gracefully through the air, the swing a blend of power and elegance. You dodged and parried an immediate second strike, the clash of steel ringing loudly in the quiet peace of the forest.
With a smirk playing on your lips, you parried Mizu’s teasing with a quip. "I may be vertically challenged," you began, your voice light yet edged with determination. Two swift slashes from Mizu’s katana whistled past, narrowly missing their mark. "But I can still kick your ass," you continued, diving under her extended arm with graceful agility. In a single fluid movement, you struck her side with the hilt of your wakizashi, feeling the satisfying impact reverberate through the metal.
You dodge out of the katana's deadly reach, swiftly getting back on your feet with a smirk. "See? That could have been the end for you," you tease, watching Mizu rubbing her side. The words lingering between you as you both readjusted your postures.
Mizu's wry smile showed she understood your point. "Maybe so, but my height granted me another skill" she begun as she placed her sword on the ground. “Swiftness“. In one powerful jump, she closed the gap between you and grabbed your waist, causing both of you to fall to the ground in a flurry of laughter. As you tumbled across the grass, playfully trying to gain control over each other, Mizu's genuine laughter mixed with yours in the warm summer air.
The two of you erupted into laughter, a harmonious symphony of heavy breaths and pure joy. Mizu watching from above with pride as she held both of your wrists in one hand. Your cheeks flushed with a familiar warmth, spreading like the sun rising across your entire body, as if your heart was being gently caressed. The sweet scent of Mizu's skin fills your nostrils, a mix of sea salt and sunshine that envelopes you in a sense of comfort and desire.
So close, you thought, forgetting how to breath, seeing all at once: her striking eyes more roundish then yours of ocean colour that your loved the most on sunny days, a gentle movement of her stranded hair caressing by breeze, a bird that took a flight from tree behind her, her lips, their shape with touch of recent laughter, her slightly raised eyebrows that added a touch of glitter to her shifting gaze that made your heart to flip, her lips again and yet it felt like you have never seen a thing that could move your heart more.
You took a breath and felt like Mizu shifted and press against your lower body, making an audible involuntary breath. The movement, unintended as it may have been, drew a hot sensation tugging low beneath your belly and a sweet low moan along with it.
And that was it. She leaned in closer, her lips parted slightly, drawing in a sharp breath before pressing against your own. Her mouth moved slowly, expertly, as she brushed her lips against your bottom lip and then sucked it in gently. Her thumb caressed your cheek, her eyes closed in pleasure. Suddenly you felt Mizu tense up and she swiftly broke away. You saw her heavy breathing, mouth agape, a sudden fear and regret inside your eyes. A flicker of uncertainty flashed in her eyes, opening a new shade that it seems was never there before for you: vulnerablety. A shadow of fear darkened their depths, reflecting the turmoil of her heart. They darted nervously, as if searching for reassurance.
She had already let go of your wrists and was about to leave, but you held onto her kosode tightly, knowing that if you let her go it would be a grave error. With a gentle touch, you caressed her face and brought your foreheads together. "Please," you whispered hoarsely, not wanting to let go of her. Her eyebrows lifted slightly, in disbelief. You leaned in closer to her, not quite kissing yet but gently brushing your lips against hers. "Stay," you whispered, your words mingling with her breath as you pulled her into another kiss. You felt the tension leaving her muscles with a deep breath.
With her hand on your cheek, she gently brought her tongue into your mouth for two measured strokes before pulling away to enter once again. And leave again. And again. You felt how this agonizingly slow kiss filled your mouth with moan and made your body ache. To touch, to rub, to lick, to kiss, to suck, to bite, to hold.
She reached for the waistband of your hakama, untangling and loosening it with skilled fingers. "Hang on," she whispered, moving you into a seated position with her behind you. Her fingers traced along the waistband, gliding down to your folds and softly caressing your most sensitive spot. A shiver coursed through your body as you let out a deep sigh.
Her finger traced along your folds, gently parting them and gathering your wetness. A satisfied chuckle escaped her lips as she playfully nibbled on your ear, before giving you a loving lick. Her fingers danced over your sweet, sensitive bud in rapid, gentle movements, sending delightful shivers throughout your body.
“You like that?“ she whispered into your ear, her warm breath causing you to let out a louder gasp as you grasped for her neck with eager hands, trying to find more leverage.
Her fingers danced in circles over your clit, igniting a fire that spread through your body with each touch. Your anticipation grew with each passing second as she pressed harder into each circle, sending through you sparks of arousal. You could feel yourself surrendering to the overwhelming pleasure, unable to resist as she pushed you further and further into the depths of desire. Your legs opened wider in response to the intense sensations, as if you were falling into a bottomless pit of precious madness under her touch.
Your moans got quicker and louder with every stroke. “Fuck you sound so sweet” she growled into your ear as she picked up the pace, making you squirm and press against her skilled fingertips, unable to contain yourself any longer. She bit her lip moaning. Her fingers made a long stroke down and pressed against your entrance twice. She drives you wild, anticipating all sensations that you craved.
Your muscles tighten and quiver with anticipation as she sled inside her fingers, pressed them inside your walls just right there where exactly you wanted her. Your hands clutching at her neck and hip as you try to control the intense sensation coursing through you with every thrust. Each breath feels like fire in your lungs, and your moans escalate into near screams as desire consumes you. Until finally, with eyes shut tight, you reach your peak with loud cries of pleasure.
She eased her movements, each one creating a ripple of sensation that traveled through your body in continuous waves. Your muscles gradually relaxed as she held you close, kissing top of your head.
As your heart rate slowed down, you took a deep breath and confessed, "I believe I am in love with you, Mizu." Her smile widened and she seemed pleased to elicit these confession from you. Without hesitation, she replied with certainty, "I know I am in love with you," pressing a tender kiss on your neck.
“Why did you stop back there, while we were kissing?” you asked, fixing and adjusting your clothes.
"I've been in a similar situation before. Things seemed fine, or so I thought but then he rejected me and called me a monster. I thought…", she paused, “I was afraid that I was making the same mistake again.“
You took her hand, kissed the back of her palm and softly said, "You're not a monster, Mizu. You're brave and maybe angry, but with me you’re kind, and anyone who can't see that doesn't deserve you." Drawing closer, you fully embraced Mizu's hug. "Do you want me to..." Your voice trailed off as your shyness took over before you could finish your thought.
"Not right now," Mizu chuckled, amused by your sudden bashfulness. "Let's just stay like that until Ringo finds us," she whispered, resting her chin on top of your head. "Being short does actually has its advantages. You fit perfectly," she smiled, feeling content and comforted embracing you.

Third Love
Ch: 2 La Maceta
Pairing: Eddie x Mexican Female Reader
Word Count: 2.7k
Summary: Eddie tries to win over your affection and use you in hopes of getting signed to your dads record company. There's just one problem. Your situationship and a heartbreaking past that threatens to expose the darker side of you.
CW: MDNI 18+ Nightmares, mental illness, Modern au Eddie, fuckboy Eddie. Reader with another man (not cheating).
Chapter 1
You had another restless night, sleep didn't come for you till around 5 am, an hour before sunrise wasn't too bad. Usually you'd stay at Sebastians house or your Dads lavish property, but that home was too large. Glass windows from floor to ceiling. Tall trees and bushes hide the expanse of the lot, it made you uncomfortable since it resembled your old home so much. After a particularly rough panic attack, and the incident with the pool man you and your dad agreed that maybe living with a roommate would lessen the episodes. Luckily, you had found an apartment with a pretty cool roommate, she was similar to you in loving horror movies and video games, and often her boyfriend would spend the night. Last night wasn't one of them, instead you made a comfy spot on the couch and spent most of the time watching 90 Day Fiance and arguing with the TV.
The familiar ding of your phone has you rubbing the sleep from your eyes, arm stretched out blindly searching the top of the coffee table. Unlocking the screen with your thumb print, a new text message comes into view.
Unknown: In the car, I just can't wait, To pick you up on our very first date.
Brows pinched in confusion, and a small smile gracing your face. You think It must be a wrong number. You stare at the message sinking back into the soft cushions of the couch. It's gotta be a joke you think, so you play along, having seen these types of messages before and being immersed in music your whole life you're familiar with the lyrics.
You: Is it cool if I hold your hand?
Shortly after pressing send another ding comes through.
Unknown: Is it wrong if I think it's lame to dance? Do you like my stupid hair?
A chuckle leaves your lips and you feel bad for stringing this person along but you continue anyway, enjoying the flirty nature of the messages.
You: would you guess that I didn't know what to wear?
You feel terrible engaging in this cute sharade. Being a hopeless romantic the idea of someone purposely sending you these messages has you kicking your feet. But you know these messages aren't for you, as you place the phone down again another ding comes through.
Unknown: I'm just scared of what you think.
You smile to yourself at the absurdity but one last message won't hurt.
You: you make me nervous so I really can't eat.
Deciding to end the conversation you text back apologizing for wasting their time and let them know they have the wrong number. You see they've read your message and so you set your phone down and walk to your bedroom gathering some clothes from the closet, when you hear another ding.
You quickly turn back to the living room. throw yourself onto the couch, lunging for your phone in anticipation at what was sent and shock is written all over your face as you read the message.
Unknown: "Let's go. Don't wait. This night's almost over."
You Scroll back up and make sure that your previous message was sent and read. It was. You immediately panic, it wasn't like you to make plans and forget, especially a date. You did a lot of networking last night but you made sure every contact had a name and their social media attached so you really had no clue who would be asking you out. Unable to form any more thoughts on the matter you turn off your phone and head for the shower.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"Fuck! She left me on read." Eddie complained to Gareth as they both sat sprawled out on the couch in the garage,finishing up band practice for an upcoming show.
"How do you date a latina anyway?" Grant inquired, wiping the sweat from his brow and placing his bass down. Eddie turned to his bandmate, eyebrows quirked in a questioning way. "Um. Like any other girl. Man, what is wrong with you?" Eddie huffed, looking at his phone again hoping you'd message him back soon, and that he didn't just blow it with you. "It doesn't matter anyway, Ed just wants to fuck his way to the top. No dating required, isn't that what you said Ed? Gareth stared at his friend, challenging the words he had spoken earlier, before he actually met you or saw you, or felt the way your hand barely touched his sent bolts of electricity through his entire body. Eddie's eyes narrowed at Gareth. "Yea. That's right."
The way Gareth laid it out sounded bad and Eddie knew it, he wanted to do things the right way but he'd already tried that, and he had Becky to thank for ruining morally 'good' Eddie. This Eddie was different, he was more determined than ever in reaching his dreams irregardless of who was in his way or who he'd hurt in the process.
"It's a terrible idea." Standing with his arms crossed Jeff glared at Eddie, ashamed that their frontman even considered such a thing. With his head hanging between his shoulders Eddies eyes met Jeffs and he sighed, running his palm down his face, he shook his head.
"Look, I'm doing it for the band, ok. She could really help us out and get us actual good hook ups. What the fuck have you done Jeff? I'm the one who's been pulling all the weight!"
"You're the reason we're in this mess, you fucked Becky, our manager by the way, and now you wanna fuck this one! Next you're gonna fuck us over!" Jeff scolded, standing toe to toe with Eddie challenging his decisions. Gareth and Grant stand between the two boys, pushing them both away from each other and letting them cool down. Just as Eddie's about to speak again his phone rings. Signaling the boys to be quiet with his pointer finger to his lips he takes a look at the caller id and waves his hand at them in dismissal.
"Hey Red, still gonna make the show?" Eddie had asked Max if she was going to see Corroded Coffin perform, but she had gone on a little getaway with Lucas and wasn't sure when she'd be back.
"Yea, of course You can invite her. The more the merrier." Eddie agreed, pacing the garage as he spoke to Max. "Is she cute?" He asked with a shy smile on his face. "Fine, fine." He continued.
Getting off the phone with Max he checked his messages again and to his surprise you had sent a reply back.
Peach: I have a boyfriend.
"Son of a bitch." Eddie threw his phone on the couch crossing his arms as he glared at the floor. Frustrated that his plan was crumbling beneath him along with his dreams.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Hot water sprays over your body as you think of the outcomes if you were to go on this blind date. They never responded when you asked who they were which raised all the red flags and your mind went into a worse case scenario. What if it was Him, the masked man that haunted your dreams still. The therapy has been working, weekly and always on call if you ever needed it, medication changes were few but sometimes adjusting or adding to the list was necessary. So you lied and said you have a boyfriend, hopeful that they would get the hint that you were not interested.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
In his bedroom, Eddie sat at his desk, phone in hand open with tabs of all his social media accounts and a calendar of future shows to be played.
"Omg you googled her?!" Gareth chuckled, as he hoovered behind Eddie, who was currently scrolling through your instagram page.
"Nah man, I looked up Glass House and she follows them." Eddie scrolled through all your posts, admiring all the traveling you'd done and how many musician friends you had. There were some that he admired and others that he didn't know. The fancy places you've eaten at were lavish. He was skeptical of some of the dishes but hoped to at least try them one day. To his disappointment, There weren't many pictures of you. He scrolled to the end of your page and didn't see any of your so-called boyfriend, maybe you were a private person and your instagram was only work related.
His finger hovered over Sebastian's page, debating if this was going too far, would he even like what he saw. He wasn't with you so it didn't matter, but why was he so nervous? Cracking his neck side to side, his thumb gently pressed on Sebastian's profile and a flood of images filled the screen.
There you were, your beautiful smile shining bright through his phone, and Eddie's belly flipped as if he were seeing it in the flesh. Through all the music related posts, band practice, live shows and members of the band, were small bits and pieces of you scattered about. Most were candid photos, at the studio listening to whatever played through your headphones, a shy smile peeking through a glass of wine held at your lips, god did Eddie wish he was a wine glass. Zooming into one particular photo he sees your bare back wearing nothing but a black bra and panties that leave nothing to the imagination, you're laying on your stomach on top of a white bed with messy white sheets. He traces over the feminine curve of your back, down to the slope of your waist and above the plush of your ass. His eyes land on your profile and his heart beats wildly at your sleeping form, hair sprawled out like a halo, you're facing away from the camera and Eddie wonders if you're aware of this intimate photo being taken. It suddenly occurs to him that you're in bed barely clothed and his stomach twists at the realization, Sebastian has you and he doesn't.
"He's not her boyfriend." Gareth voiced, startling Eddie who seemed to forget his bandmate was hunched over him. He pulls his phone close to his chest away from Gareth's wandering eyes. "Well, there's pictures of her in bed and them kissing. Last night at the party I saw him with her."
Eddie stood up and laid on his bed as Gareth took a seat at the desk. "Must be complicated," he shrugged. "She just told me she has a boyfriend. Must've been recent then."Gareth snatched Eddie's phone out of his hand.
"Hey!" He snapped. Scrolling through the messages Eddie sent you, Gareth shook his head "Blink 182? Really? God your lame." He laughed, "And you're an idiot. You didn't say who you were." Throwing the phone back, Eddie looks over the texts again and groans. Gareth was right he missed the message where you asked "who's this." While he thought of another response Eddie went back to your instagram for clues as to what type of person you were.
Bringing his face closer to the screen, eyes squinting. 'It couldn't be' he thought. A girl was standing in frame, she wore faded blue jeans with a pale orange top and a blue blouse folded to her elbows. In her hands was a white planter with wild green leaves that brought life to red beautiful flowers, unmistakable red hair flowed down her shoulders and bright blue eyes peeked behind blossoms of red. Eddie looked to the bottom of the photo reading the caption 'look what my roommate grew!.'
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Two knocks, a pause and two more knocks were heard on your apartment door. You heard the key enter, the door knob twist and your roommate stepped inside. "I'm back!" She announced, as she pulled in her luggage from the hallway. Squealing you raced towards her and greeted her with a huge hug that had you both stumbling.
"Max! I missed you. How was the trip? How's Lucas doing?" You questioned.
Exhausted from traveling Max threw herself on the couch and told you how they traveled down to San Diego to see the Battle ships. "We went to this fancy restaurant where they have dry aged steak–"
You cut her off, leg bouncing in anticipation, and not wanting to wait any longer. "Did he finally ask you to marry him?" Max deflated. With a tight lipped smile she shook her head. "No. He didn't ask. But I still had so much fun and I'm sure it'll be soon."
Max had told you all about her on and off again relationship with Lucas, and ever since her accident, as she calls it, they've been together ever since. She told you all about their first dance, the first kiss they shared, the first time they said I love you. It was all so romantic and out of a fairytale. A fairytale that you longed for. She just smiled as you told her all the romantic things you wanted to do and how lucky she was that she had found that special someone. She didn't tell you about all the bad things. She couldn't. Your face lit up at the mention of the snowball dance, and their weekly movie marathons. You were both brought to tears as she recounted the way Lucas was by her side after her accident.
She wanted you to have this idea that love was easy and it would find you when you least expected it. So she couldn't tell you about Vecna or Will. Most importantly she didn't want to tell you how her brother Billy died. How she saw him die. But you needed her to tell you that you weren't alone, that this deep trench in your heart would never mend but if you had found someone that brought you peace on those nights where the screams were too loud and the night too dark. A soul strong enough to carry the weight of your trauma, yet compassionate enough to walk you through the pain. Then maybe they could slowly fill that hollow trench bucket by bucket. Not of dirt or water simply understanding. Understanding that you'll never be who you once were, full of happiness and light. Rays of sunshine peeking through someone's gloomy day. Now, you were the gloom, the dark low hanging clouds full of tears threatening to pour down on undeserving innocents. Who knew whether those drops would be light and just tickle the skin. Would they be heavy and constant for days on end, causing those to witness shield their eyes and run towards a dry, safer climate. At any moment any sudden reminder of that night could trigger a siren of caution echoing through their ears that a violent storm was just on the horizon. Upon Hearing that screeching siren loud above their heads all would run, gathering their belongings and loved ones to escape the danger that was to come. All except one.
You didn't tell Max about what had happened. It's not something to bring up in casual conversation or any conversation for that matter. 'Hey, I saw my mom get shot to death and I held my hands over her bleeding wounds until her blood saturated both our clothes…. No biggie. How was your day?'
There would never be a right time. A right scenario and even if there was you didn't want to relive that night, no one does. So you kept that part of you hidden, shoveled so deep within that trench with a lock and key. Any threats of those tears or incoming clouds were met with scripted phrases.
"I'm just so tired."
"Allergies."
"It's fine."
"Eyelash in my eye"
And the worst of all
"I'm ok."
The day settles to night as you shift under the sheets with your laptop open, preparing your schedules and artists you were going to see for the week when you hear the unmistakable ding of your phone. You find it stuffed between the pillow you're laying on and your shoulder. Upon reading the message your eyes widened at the boldness and your lips curved up into a beaming smile.
Unknown: "Of course someone as pretty as you would have a boyfriend, that's cool I'm not looking to be your boyfriend though. I just thought you might need a husband.
Unknown: "It's Eddie by the way."
You shake your head chuckling at his audaciousness. But he got you smiling at your phone, cheeks heating up and flutters in your tummy.
You: "Oh, that was good. I guess we should go on a date then if you're planning to be my husband."
Eddie: "I thought you'd never ask." 😉

God knows I tried
Chapter II
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Word count: 2,244
002
Elizabeth's hands trembled as she watched the tall priest walk back and forth before the altar.
"Now Liz, you know lying is a sin, yet still you continue? Why are you lying to me, young lady?"
His voice was cold and stung like a blade against her.
She grimaced as he retrieved the old wooden yardstick from the altar.
"Hands, up on the table, now."
With one swift whip, he created crimson red lines across her skin, blood pooling into the crevices.
"Miss, can I help you?"
Elizabeth snapped back to the present, looking down at her hands to see that they were in fact not bleeding and it was purely a memory, she'd never forgotten the old father McPherson, or the sisters who once "cared" for her either for that matter.
"Miss?"
"Oh I'm sorry, I guess I'm a bit out of it today."
A chuckle was admitted from the tall and handsome man before her, her eyes lingered to his friendly ones, and then the small scar in his eyebrow.
"Don't worry, we've all been there, it's just, you look troubled, if you don't mind me saying." He was leaning up against the barrier of the breeze, the small ferry from the mainland to Crockett island; a large denim jacket sat on his shoulders and he was wearing a pair of black gloves. Liz smiled softly at him "yeah, I'm fine, just a bit... lost in thought I guess." He nodded.
"What brings you to Crockett? I'm afraid we don't get many visitors around here?" He looked deeply into her eyes, trying to hold the conversation.
"I'm actually going back home, I've had some... news, a family crisis, I didn't have much choice" Liz remained vague, not wanting to dump the dead mum card on a perfect stranger.
"Oh, I'm sorry, I hope everything's okay, if you ever need anything, feel free to ask, I'm the new Sheriff here in Crockett!" He placed his hands on his hips, shoulders back, and looked at her with pride.
She smiled softly at him. "my names Elizabeth, Elizabeth Bates, nice to meet you, Sheriff." She stuck out her hand for him to shake, but he hesitated, looking at her sadly. "Ah, Miss Bates, I'm sorry, I heard about your mother, I only met her a few times, but, she was always friendly." Liz looked down at her feet, a sad smile plastered on her face. "Thank you." she held back her tears as she tried not to think about her poor mother.
Shortly thereafter the ferry docked onshore, the bridge was lowered and people started to shuffle off. "The offer still stands, if you ever need anything..." He trailed off before disappearing into the small crowd.
With her bag flung over her shoulder and a suitcase in hand, Elizabeth dragged her way down the docks and through the island, past the general store, the school, and eventually the church, she stopped and thought about going in to see Monsignor Pruitt, but she decided it would be best to go home and get settled first.
When she reached the quaint one-story house, she could barely hold back her tears as she unlocked the door, a flood of memories coming back to her in an instant, some good, some bad. Memories of the hard times her father would drink too much and take out his anger on her and her mother, or when he'd lock her in her room for "disobeying" him, but also good memories, her mother making her a stack of pancakes every year for her birthday, playing piano in the living room while her parents laughed and danced and everything seemed normal.
Liz collapsed onto the couch, exhaustion taking over as she closed her eyes, jet lag was already kicking in. She didn't rest for long, as only a few moments later, a knock was heard at her door
A woman with big eyes and dark curly hair stood at her door.
"Erin!" Liz beamed, her childhood friend and admittedly, her teenage crush, never failed to make her smile.
"I've missed you so much" she whispered into her hair. "I'm really, really, sorry about your mom" the dark-haired woman gave her a sad smile and stroked her hair as a form of comfort, she knew how to do that, how to calm you down in an instant, either by a touch of your hand or stroke of your hair, she could cure your anxieties in a blink of an eye.
Liz made them some peppermint tea before the two women sat down on the couch, chatting for ages about nothing and everything, Erin told her about Riley's return to the island and how she planned to go to mass later that morning, as it didn't start till 10 am.
"Since when are you so devout?" The blonde joked, reminiscing of times when Erin and herself were the town outcasts, causing trouble every chance they got, often ending up at the sheriff's office or in the church where the old Monsignor would give them a stern but caring speech, she smiled at the memory. "I don't know, littlefoot and I have to repentance to do." she joked
They sat for a while, drinking their tea and reminiscing a little longer before Erin left to get ready for mass. "You sure you don't wanna come? monsignor Pruitt should be back from his trip, you can give him one final heart attack before he finally kicks the can?" They laughed at Erins crude joke. "Don't be rude, he's old, leave him be." Liz said as her friend left for home. She looked up, seeing the church steeple in the distance, she contemplated going, she really did, but she decided to wait till after mass to visit the monsignor, she needed to plan her mothers funeral with him anyways.
Liz decided to shower and change her clothes, she had just been on a 7 hour flight after all, and she didn't want to run into anyone looking like this.
After her shower she dug through her suitcase and picked out a dark red turtleneck, body-con dress and a long black cardigan, she put on her knee high leather boots to keep her legs warm, she also applied minimal makeup, some concealer to cover her dark eye bags, some mascara and a slightly tinted lip balm, just to bring some life back into her face.
She picked up her scarf and the box of PG tips tea that she bought for the Monsignor as she remembered how much he liked his cups of tea and especially English breakfast. Stepping out of the small bungalow she pulled her leather jacket round her thin frame to keep the wind out, the cold, icy air nipped at her face and blew the black scarf over her shoulder and behind her back, there was a storm coming, she could feel it.
The young woman made her way over to the white chapel, tea in hand along with a folder of letters and pictures of her mother, things to use for her funeral.
Her hands shook slightly, a wave of emotions hitting her like a brick and she tried to keep them bottled up, she didn't want to cry, not yet, crying was for at home, with a tub of ice cream or a fresh pot of mac and cheese, not for cold afternoon walks.
Pulling herself together before walking up the church steps, Liz took her scarf off before entering the holy building. "Make sure to take your jacket off so you'll feel the benefit when you leave!" Her mother's voice rang through her head, the advice she'd hear every Sunday morning.
The church was empty, not even Beverly stood there giving her the usual condescending looks, just the silence of an abandoned house of god. She sat down in the first row of pews, taking a moment of reflection and waiting for the old Monsignor to greet her, after all, mass had finished earlier that day and she knew he liked to stick around in the back rooms, organising the church's belongings.
After maybe 5 minutes of waiting and looking at her feet, Elizabeth heard the door open and soft footsteps making their way over. "Hello my dear, can I help you?" She furrowed her eyebrows in confusion before bringing her eyes up to the figure in front of her. The man before her eyes was not the reliable Monsignor Pruitt, instead she saw much younger and slightly taller man, his clerical collar giving his position away. "Um, hi, I'm sorry but I was kinda hoping to see Monsignor Pruitt?" She asked in the nicest way possible, she didn't want to chase the Raven haired man away, but she did of course want to see the man who was so kind to her in her youth. "Oh, well, I'm sorry but I'm afraid the Monsignor isn't here." Her heart sank and her stomach churned. "Oh please no, don't tell me-" He interrupted her "no, no, don't you worry, he's just fine, I'm afraid her fell ill while on his trip to the holy land, he's recovering in a hospital on the mainland but I assure you, there is nothing to worry about!" He smiled softly before gesturing to the empty space next to her, she nodded and he sat.
"Now where are my manners, my names father Paul Hill, I've been sent to take over the congregation for a while. And you must be Elizabeth!" Liz looked up at him once again, a confused look plastered on her face. "The Monsignor spoke very highly of you, said you're not hard to miss." His eyes scanned her clothing, she wore the same dark shades that she wore many years ago as a rebellious teenager. "Really, I don't think 'highly' is the right word." She let out a small laugh, reminiscing of the amount of times they sat just like this, Pruitt giving her stern but caring talks on her 'behavioural issues'. She could always tell that he never wanted to give her these long lectures, but she knew how her parents pleaded with him, and how he was too much of a pushover to ignore their requests.
Father Paul chuckled and shifted in his seat, turning to face her slightly. "Trust me, the Monsignor always cared for you, at least that's what I can tell from the way he speaks of you." He set a soft hand on her shoulder.
"Now, I may not be the person you were searching for, but I'm sure I can still help you all the same." His hand left her shoulder and moved down to his own leg, he watched intently and she fiddled with her fingers. "Yeah, well," she struggled to get her words out, "my mum, she recently... passed, I've come to talk over her funeral plans." The young woman's eyes immediately started watering, but she pushed the strong emotions back. "I'm so sorry for your loss." His hand hesitated for a moment before he softly placed it over hers, only taking it away after she flinched. "Hm, thank you." She said sadly.
The folder full of documents soon opened as they both flicked through the many pictures of her beloved mother, deciding which to use for the wake, reading letters and trying to write her speech. Liz finally spoke up. "I'm sorry, I know priests don't often help with funeral planning, it's just, I was expecting Monsignor Pruitt, I just figured-"
"Its okay, really." He smiled softly before engulfing her hands in his own. He studied her face, watching the tears slowly fall from her eyes. "I'm so sorry, I-" her whimpers were interrupted by him pulling her firmly into his arms, wrapping himself around her. He felt his heart break for the poor girl, losing someone so close to her.
That sat like that for a while, Elizabeth eventually calming down, her breathing coming back to its natural rhythm. Although it was strange to admit, she enjoyed being in this perfect strangers arms, the comforting warmth that radiated from his chest filling her entire body with an indescribable warmth, he felt familiar, like an old friend, someone she could trust, that was something she rarely felt these days
She was the one to pull away first, not wanting to make the poor man even more uncomfortable, he seemed almost hesitant to let her go, but alas he did.
He lifted his hand up to her earrings, touching the small crosses dangling to her jaw. "Are you devout?" He asked carefully. Liz let out something close to a laugh. "No, I um, I wore these a lot as a teenager, you know, the typical goth who wears religious attire, it annoyed Beverly to no end, so I guess it just felt right to wear them again."
He nodded and let his hand fall to his knee once again. "Ah yes, Beverly." They both giggled slightly, looking at each other.
They sat for a while longer, making plans for the funeral that would take place in a few days time. "Please, if you need anything l, feel free to drop by, my door is always open." He smiled at her as they stood up from the pew. She thanked him and started heading towards the door, she stopped for a second.
"Do you like tea?" She held out the box towards him.

Wendy's Friends (at least her two closest ones)
Tumblr media
(explanation: Wendy is Sephiroth's future daughter which is more or less outlined here and here.)
The one on the left is Jenina 'Jenny' Salazar and the one right is Astrid Fellow.
Jenny
Short (Around 147-148 cm).
The first friend Wendy made in secondary school (first year). Both girls resonated with each other for their lonely experiences in school and became quick nerdy friends.
A singer who wants to partake in musical theater. Has regularly attended choir.
At the age of 11 she had discovered the most alluring epic poem (yes it's Loveless). How could she not, with lore, history and potential mystical connections to the world she lives in?
She has some lines memorized and named her cat Alphreid (nerd)
Good-natured, sweet and cheery, but is a worrywart who needs to be quelled by her friends.
Takes school seriously, maybe a bit too seriously...
She was scared of Seph when she first met him with Wendy. 7 feet tall, inhuman eyes and an unsettling smile, the poor girl XD.
But she eventually comes to know that he is actually a nice guy. Almost every time she comes to Wendy's house, they are served food by him and he attempts to get to know her (wild!).
When he learns of her special interest in Loveless, he quotes it to her and her eyes brighten.
"You know it too?"/ Seph gives a nod and smiles, it becomes less scary to her, "Yes, I had a friend who knew Loveless off by heart, it was to the point I learned where the Acts and verses were."
An alluring conversation kicked in and Seph let the girl ramble about what she had learned. Wendy is glad her new friend and father are getting along. And whenever Sephiroth here's his daughter call out 'Jen', he almost see's a glimpse of the past...
Astrid
Wendy and Jenny befriended her in second year.
Had a rough start in life with abusive parents and as a result, cultivated a strong personality.
When she was transferred, teachers decided to pair the delinquent, frequent swearer child with the nerdy Wen and Jen. Even when terrified, they girls made their best attempts to reach out to her.
They learn that she is quite the doting sister ("He's my baby!" she points to the picture of a tiny young boy with blonde curls). But when Jenny points out the bruises under her sleeve, asking if she's okay, Astrid withdraws and changes the conversation.
Astrid saw the girls as easy prey that can get taken advantage of so she found herself looking out for them. She never knew that they would save her and her brother in the end.
Action was took when Astrid stopped attending class for a week and Wendy and Jenny cried to Seph and his wife for help.
When Sephiroth came to carry away her from the hell she lived in, it was one of the instances she began to feel safe...
They managed to pull Astrid and her brother out of the bad conditions. For a while, she lingered in the Crescent's house to heal. No one yells and the rooms don't stink. Wendy's calm and Jenny's enthusiasm filled her heart, no... they weren't weak, their light made her strong and she will help them be strong.
Astrid's temperament maybe be different from his late friend, but when Sephiroth see's her mother her friends around and her declaring her loyalty to them on the dinner table. He can't help but chuckle and sigh.
Fiery, bold and ballsy, she finds her honor in loving and being loyal to her friends and sibling and she is starting to cultivate her own dreams.
Wendy reflected on the stories her father told her, and she remarks about the poetry in the reflections of the past. Jenny approves of this, Astrid thinks it's awfully sentimental and "ughs!" about the fluffy feelings its giving her. But alas, there is a test they are studying for and they land their eyes back to the books.

Rapheal - (Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles) - Chapter 6 Final
Tumblr media
The morning can’t come soon enough. Raph waits anxiously for your arrival. He’d insisted on picking you up, but you’d told him you wanted to get there on your own. So you could memorize the path. Even promised that if you got lost you would contact him. The second you're there, his brothers begin teasing when you turn your back. He just sends a deadly glare as he leads you away.
Partly to get rid of his brothers and spend time with you.
When he opened the door, your eyes marveled at all the explosive posters. He closed the door with a proud little smile.
“Awesome aint it.” You nod excitedly.
“Your room is very cool. “
You praise. Taking a seat on his bed, you bask in the feeling of being here. Raph’s eyes settle on you. Internally he’s ecstatic. Because he never dreamt that he would see you again. When he’d given you reassurances that day, it was more to comfort him. Because he would have preferred to never leave your side.
“I tried looking for ya.” Raph states. Your gaze moves to him.
“Kinda weird but I kept going back to the water cause I thought it would send me some kinda sign. Then I used one of Donnie’s hacker crap but I couldn’t figure it out.” He rubbed the back of his head taking a seat next to you, and that smile on your face brightened.
“I looked for you too.” You directed your gaze at your lap bashfully.
“I sort of ran into the same problems. When Vincent placed me in witness protection I tried to sneak a peek at her files. But there was nothing on you or your brothers. It made sense. She’s pretty protective of you guys too. You were right. She kept me safe. When I turned twenty she gave me a choice. They'd' finally disbanded the smuggling operation, so I was free. They gave me everything I needed for a fresh start, so I came to New York. I guess the universe knew. Or maybe she did. When I told her where I wanted to study, she just smiled at me and encouraged me to go after it.”
Vincent had been hoping you would find them.
You were kicking your feet back and forth.
“You saved my life Rapheal.”
He objected, but you looked up at him with those eyes that always seem to pierce him right through his chest. After his conversation with Vincent, he’d learned that you’d been kidnapped for approximately six months. When you disappeared from the orphanage, no one had even batted an eye. They’d just assumed you’d run away again. Raph would never know the pain you endured, because he’d been with his brothers all his life. Those few weeks away made him realize just how grateful he was for family. Because the second he was taken, they all dropped everything and spent every waking moment searching for him.
Raphael.
The one who constantly yelled about going out on his own. Giving his older brother a hard time for being the leader. Pushed around his younger brother when he made ridiculous comments or teased Donnie for being a dork. All those little things had been guaranteed in his life until that day. He was beyond grateful for his life.
Grateful now, for you.
“I’m glad that I was able to help you (Y/N).”
He did so much more.
“R-Raph..”
You looked away for a moment, fiddling with your fingers. He was a bit confused on why.
“What’s up?”
“D-Do you have a girlfriend?”
That was not the question he was expecting. He almost choked at the insinuation.
“I-I just saw a picture of you with this really beautiful woman. Y-You’re so tall and strong and kind that I figured it would be really easy for someone to fall in love with you.” You wouldn’t look his way.
“I aint got a girlfriend.”
There was no hesitation. Raph figured then that you must have seen the photo of April in his room. You finally chanced a look, and Raph almost laughed at how hopeful you looked. It was cute.
“R-Really?”
“Of course. Ya aint got a boyfriend, do ya?”
You shook your head vigorously. Raph smirked. This side of you is effortlessly adorable.
You nimble on your lip, and Raph finds himself a bit entranced. When you catch his stare, he coughs, looking away.
“A-Anyway I should probably give ya the rest of the tour.” He looked ready to bolt, and you took his hand, halting him before he could get too far away.
“I’ve always wanted to kiss you Rapheal..”
He gulps. He’d told himself not to be too hasty. He cared for you. Raph already promised himself that he would protect you, even if it was from himself.
“I’m not exactly the most affectionate guy.” He muttered. He knew his faults. Affection was lost to him. He realized in a crisis he was a lot more honest.
Now you looked a bit weary, like you’d crossed a line.
You were possibly just as embarrassed as him, but you hid it well. There was a hopeful twinkle in your eyes. Raph closed his eyes to try and ground himself.
“I know people say that when you’ve gone through a trauma with someone, that a bond forms. It’s not healthy. Usually never lasts..”
He knows that being this vulnerable is hard for you. It’s hard for him.
“If it were that simple, then I would have forgotten about you the second you left.” Your eyes lift, and Raph takes a step forward.
“Since you’ve been gone you’re all I’ve been able to think about. I ain’t an expert at this feelings shit, but I know if it were nothing, then losing ya wouldn’t have been so hard. “ Your lips begin to quiver.
“I want you to be with me all the time.” You confess. Raph just smiles.
“Took the words right outta my mouth.” One more step, and he’s so much closer. But he doesn’t move too quickly. He wants to be sure that this is what you want. Because it’s what he needs.
“Can I-” you nod eagerly, closing your eyes. Raph just looks at you for a moment, a smile on his lips. You’re a nervous wreck he can tell from the way your hands drop to your side. Your lips are slightly puckered. He wasn’t sure how one person could be this cute. You peek an eye open after what feels like an eternity. Raph has yet to make a move.
“R-Ra-”
He claims your lips, and you squeak. Pulling you into his body, he can hear the soft hum from your throat as you melt into him. Raph is content with the response. Your fingers rest lightly on his chest as he delivers each soft, longing kiss. There’s not much he can ever hope for in life. Because this situation used to feel unrealistic. He never expected that he would be the one to find love like this first. His entire personality was a bit standoffish. But when he looks at you, he feels like a different person.
It’s all so warm.
You part for a moment, and the care reflected in your eyes nearly brings him to his knees. He pulls you into a hug in an attempt to sever the gaze, because it feels like too much.
“I think I might..be in love with ya…” He admits
You smile.
“That’s good, because I might be in love with you too.”
Raph holds on tighter and you can’t help but giggle.
“I LOVE YOU RAPHAEL!!” You shout into the air. Raph begins to laugh as well.
“Alright alright, I love ya too.”

Boys like girls who like girls who like boys (Robin x Female reader, Steve x male reader a tiny bit)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
(Based on the drabble I made earlier. Each time Robin is working this one stupid boy always tries to flirt with her. He's gone on and on about how she should just give him one date, when she finally snaps and bites the bullet all she expects is bad conversation and some free food not his beautiful sister sitting in his place.)
"Hey Robin! You're boyfriend's here!"
Robin groaned into her hands, she was so close to just quicking. The last three weeks the same guy had come in everyday asking her the same question.
"Would you like to go out to marinas and get some dinner after you're shift?"
And every time she turned him down with no sympathy.
"No and please don't ask again."
He had willpower made of iron. Honestly he was just breaking her down. Which seemed like a shame since he had never struck Robin as been a disconnected asshole. He used to be in band camp, playing his acoustic by the the fire. He was farely gentle and had never showed and interested in her romantically.
"God please don't tell me the same thing you said for the past three weeks!"
He gave her the softest kicked puppy eyes.
"Please, just one night."
"I've told you no already-"
"Robin. Just Gove him this one night. He promised me he will stop."
Robin flumed at steve. How could he be so dumb sometimes?!
"Fine. But you're paying and it's just tonight. If you try anything else I'm gonna call the cops understand?"
He nodded before finally leaving.
"What the hell was that steve?! You're supposed to keep creeps away from me!"
To her surprise, Steve grinned.
"I'll think you'll like tonight more than you think."
Before she could could answer he slipped away to restock shelves.
That night robin walked to the dinner dragging her feet the whole way. The place was nearly empty and the boy was nowhere to be seen. Had he really begged her to go out for so long just to ghost her? She sat at the table he told had told her he'd reserve.
"You came!!"
Robin froze. She whipped her head to see a tall beautiful girl open mouth smiling having just left the bathroom.
"I thought you'd never come. After three weeks u was starting to think I tell him to stop."
"Wha...what!?!"
The girl pulled back a chair for Robin.
"I...I heard from steve you weren't into boys, in that way."
Robin's eyes went massive.
"I've been wanting to ask you out since band camp but I thought people might get suspicious. So I begged my brother to help me. I hope you're not mad."
Mad? Robin was a blushing mess. A girl had been so interested in her and that had gonna after her for THREE FULL WEEKS.
"That's the sweetest thing anyone's ever done for me."
She held back tears. The other girl smiled biting down on her lip to keep it from trembling.
"So you'll stay?"
"Of course!"
She squeezed Robin into a hug.
"This is the best day of my life!!!"
Two tables away Steve sat next to his boyfriend watching both girls stumble over each romantically.
"So since Robin's dating your sister does that mean me and her are related?"
He boy grinned
"Are you proposing to me Harrington?"
Steve turned red.

“Hey.” I nearly jump a mile high out of my chair when I hear Sy’s voice coming from the door. “It’s nice to see ya home. You gonna be joinin’ me for dinner?”
“Wh— what?” I stammer out, shutting my laptop and looking at my watch. “Shit! Is it almost five already?”
“Sure is.”
A thump comes from somewhere in the back of the apartment, followed by the sound of Aika’s nails clicking against the hardwood as she rushes to greet Sy. She’s always eager to see him on days where he hits the gym before going to work.
“I stopped off to get some groceries,” he says, rubbing Aika’s belly as her back leg kicks furiously. “How do ya feel about grilled chicken burgers?”
“Oh, umm…” I bite my lip, looking down at my lap.
“Ya don’t normally work on Tuesdays nights, right?”
I don’t know if I should be flattered that he’s memorized my work schedule or terrified that he’s memorized my work schedule. I hope he hasn’t gotten suspicious as to where I go at night.
“No, I don’t. But don’t bother yourself with making dinner for me, I can fix myself something later.” I think I have a jar of pasta sauce at the back of the top shelf of the pantry. My dumb ass decided that I was going to be using the top three shelves while Sy got the bottom three. Apparently at the time I forgot that I am five foot four while he’s somewhere over six feet tall. By the time I realized my mistake, Sy had already stocked up his half and I don’t want to bother him by asking to switch.
“Hush now, it’s no bother. You’ve left dinner and breakfast for me more times than I can count and I’ve never returned the favor.”
I don’t add that we have never sat down to eat together either. Sy is a very handsome man and I am more than a little attracted to him. The more I get a peek into his personality, the more my little crush grows and I’m terrified of getting too attached. I retract my earlier statement, his attentiveness is definitively flattering.
Since Sy moved in, I no longer have the spare room to use as an office. I sold so much of my furniture while waiting to find a roommate that my things easily fit in my bedroom along with my queen bed while also leaving enough space to properly film.
When Sy isn’t home, I sometimes work on the kitchen island but since I can’t risk him seeing my screen while I edit my videos, I make sure to be locked in my room by the time he gets home. Well, normally I make sure of it. I got behind on my content for the week because I worked a double at the diner and I was trying to make my normal posting time for today which I guess is a lost cause now.
“Let me help you with that then,” I say, stacking my notebooks on my laptop.
“Woman, don’t ya dare get up.” He pins me with a look that leaves no room for argument. It doesn’t help that he’s waving around a kitchen knife but that just draws my attention to his forearm veins. He tends to talk with his hands and every time I end up ogling him like an idiot and lose track of the conversation. “You just keep on doin’ whatever it is that I interrupted and let me take care of this.”
I open my mouth, trying to think of a good reason why I can’t do that but come up empty. Shit, there I go again, losing my ability to think. I don’t want to be rude and go hide in my room while he slaves away in the kitchen but I can’t keep working with him right next to me. It’s just too risky.
“How about I just keep you company instead?”
Sy flashes me a warm smile that makes my stomach flutter. “Even better.”
He finishes emptying the two grocery bags, laying the items on the counter. Some he puts away for future use like the bacon and sausages that are his breakfast staples while the chicken goes next to the cutting board and the lettuce and tomatoes are set by the sink to be washed.
“Any food allergies I should be aware of?” He asks, pulling spices from the cupboard above the stove.
“Nope. What about you?”
“Not an allergy but I can’t stand peanut butter or those neon orange cheese spreads.”
I frown, folding my arms on the island. “Those are two very specific things to hate. What happened to the classics like broccoli or brussels sprouts?”
“I’m a grown man,” he argues, turning to look at me over his shoulder, “I feed those to Aika under the table.”
For the second time since I’ve met him, Sy has me giggling like a schoolgirl. He comes to stand across from me on the other side of the island and slices the tomato onto a plate.
“The MRE meals we get in the army have maybe two dozen mains and come with a bunch of different snacks. But the one thing ya always get? Peanut butter and jelly packets or that fuckin’ nacho cheese.”
I pull the bowl of clean Romaine closer to me, ignoring the glare Sy shoots at me as I start tearing the leaves into smaller pieces.
“How long have you been out?”
“Going on six months.”
My head shoots up, my mouth hanging open. “I didn’t realize it was that recent. You seem…”
He quirks an eyebrow at me when I don’t finish my thought. “I seem what?”
Oh fuck. Did I just offend him? I shouldn’t have asked when he got out, I know better than to talk about military life to veterans without knowing anything about their experience.
“I umm…”
Thankfully, Sy puts me out of my misery before I have a full blown panic attack.
“Darlin’, it’s okay. Tell me what you’re thinkin’.” His eyes go all soft and he tilts his head to the side, waiting for me to speak.
I clasp my hands together under the table to hide how much they are shaking.
“You seem well adjusted. You have a stable job, your weekly boys’ night… other than that ungodly hour you wake up at, I’d never guess you were fresh out.”
“You’re tellin’ me my wake up is ungodly when most of the time ya haven’t even been to sleep yet,” he pokes back, letting me know he really isn’t offended by what I said. “I guess I was lucky. My transition back to civilian life was easy for the most part. I’d planned it all out beforehand. The only thing that went wrong was comin’ home to a girlfriend who no longer loved me and even that, I wasn’t… disappointed?” he shrugs, dropping the seasoned chicken pieces onto the cast-iron grill pan he has heating on the stove. “I’d been wantin’ real bad to finally settle down but I guess I realized I didn’t actually want her . I wanted the idea of her.”
I wince at his choice of words. In a way, I know what he means. I feel that way often when guys come on to me at the club or even in my messages on my OnlyFans. They want Razzy, the sexy confident seductress. They would be very disappointed with plain old Riley.
“If you don’t mind me asking, what is it exactly that made you decide to leave. It sounds like you didn’t see it coming at all. I mean, you ended up squatting on your best friend’s couch.”
He opens up the fridge, taking out a beer and raising it up in a silent question. I nod and he pulls out a second bottle, opening both and handing one to me. He downs almost half the bottle in one go then leans his forearms on the counter, picking at the label.
“I always tried to be extra good to her ya know? To make up for bein’ away so much. I called or wrote every chance I got and I doted on her when I was home but on my last mission out, I couldn’t do any of that. She thought that meant I had found somebody else. She didn’t confront me with it though. She spent twelve months brewin’ up more and more anger towards me and when I got home, it just exploded. She dug through my things, looked at all my texts while I was in the shower, interrogated me every time I left the house... She was lookin’ for proof she never found so instead she started throwin’ some fucked up tests at me. She had friends hit on me at a bar while I was out, she left bras that weren’t hers around the bedroom for her to find.” He raises a hand making air quotes as he says the word find. “When I caught on to what she was doin’ we had a big fight and I moved out then and there.”
“That is… there are so many things wrong with that.” On the one hand I feel sorry for her. Dating an army captain couldn’t have been easy but did she really need to do all that? Even if she was feeling insecure, it was not okay to try to trick him into being unfaithful or going through his things.
“I guess what hurt the most was that after three years, she honestly believed that was the kind of man I was.”
I just nod, not knowing what more to say.
“What about you, are ya seein’ anyone?” After I stay quiet a second longer than I probably should, he answers for me. “Guess if ya were, ya wouldn’t be sharin’ your home with a stranger.”
I wonder what he would think if he knew I haven’t been on a date since I was in college. Granted, that was only three years ago, but still.
“You’ve gotten an idea of my social life, I don’t have many opportunities to meet people outside of work and I don’t relish the idea of dating a coworker or a client.” And the only men who’ve shown interest have asked while paying me to grind on their lap.
“Why do ya work so much?”
I’d be grateful for the change of subject but we moved from my dating life to my financial issues which is an improvement but not by much. I have to remind myself that Sy can’t be much better off than I am if he’s living here and so far, I’ve never known him to judge.
“Because I have my student loans to pay off plus some other debt I worked up while doing my unpaid internship.” I scoff, shaking my head at myself. “I thought working for some big name ad agency for a few months would unlock more doors for me but all it did was make me dig my hole deeper.”
“You ain’t got any family that can help ya out?”
Wow, we are really hitting all the sore spots tonight. Okay.
“They disowned me after I graduated high school. I didn’t follow in the family tradition of studying law at an Ivy league. If I had, I’d be staying in a penthouse in Manhattan, living lavish like my brother.”
“Ya don’t talk to him either?”
What’s the professional way of saying “my brother accidentally found my OnlyFans and showed it to my parents who then banned my name from ever being spoken in their presence and ensured I was blacklisted from every company in the Northeast”?.
“My brother won them in the divorce.”
“I’m sorry to hear that.” Sy flips the chicken then puts a bun in the toaster. “Ya studied marketing, right? Why was that the thing that convinced you to give it all up?”
“People hate marketing. It has such a bad reputation but it’s not reserved for the companies making millions by showing girls flashing their tits. Small startups with innovative ideas or people trying to do a bit of good in the world also use marketing to be successful. That’s what I want to do. I’m especially interested in social media and stuff but my last job didn’t really care for it.”
“What happened with that job? ‘Cause unless nine to five has taken to mean workin’ night shifts, seven days a week, I’m guessin’ ya aren’t there anymore.”
“When the economy tanked, so did they and the young girl who never pitched a single idea they liked was the first expense they cut before eventually shutting down completely. Nobody wants to hire someone who’s never held a job for more than a few months and the generic letter I got after my internship wasn’t exactly convincing.”
I never had summer jobs growing up. My parents didn’t want to be associated with anyone working for minimum wage. I didn’t get a job while I was in college because I didn’t want anything to negatively impact my grades and I didn’t realize how much debt I was racking up until it was too late.
The dark cloud that seemed to gather over me in the last ten minutes is lifted somewhat when Sy sets a plate down in front of me. The chicken looks straight up gorgeous and my stomach growls in response. He sits on the stool by my side and starts loading up his own burger.
“Ya know, my boss at the garage was lookin’ to do more advertisin’ but he’s got a tight budget. If ya want, I could mention your name, see if he would give ya a chance to help him with that.”
“Are you serious?” I hope he is, I really need an opportunity like this. When he nods, I have to hold back the urge to hug him.
“Sy, that would be amazing! It would give me something to put in a portfolio and if he likes it he might recommend me to some other people he knows.” Oh my god, Riley, get a grip. Aika’s ears will be hurting from how high my voice is getting. I look down at the hound and am met with a pair of big brown eyes looking up from where she is curled up at my feet.
“I’ll talk to him tomorrow,” he vows.
I feel so much lighter all of the sudden and I bite into my burger. We both eat without uttering a single word and by the time I finish my burger, Sy has another one ready for me. He’s already finished his second and has moved on to an apple he eats by cutting one piece at a time and lifting the blade to his lips.
“I’ve been meaning to talk to ya ‘bout somethin’.”
Uh oh. His tone is all serious all of the sudden.
“Okay?”
I wipe my hands on a napkin and drop the soiled paper onto my plate.
“Are you scared of me? ‘Cause I feel like ya always go out of your way to avoid me. If you’ve changed your mind, ‘bout me livin’ here then—”
“It’s not you,” I interrupt. If anything, he makes it harder to isolate myself but if I ever ended up seated on the same couch as Sy, I don’t know if I would be capable of keeping myself in check. There’s no way a guy looking to settle down would be interested in a trainwreck ten years younger than him. “I guess I’ve been on my own so long that I don’t know how else to be around people.”
“Well, I just wantcha to know ya don’t gotta hide. Hell, I’ve seen your DVD collection, it’s like ya bought out a Blockbuster and I know that ya watch ‘em in the livin’ room when I’m not around because I have to switch back the output in the evenings.”
It’s true. When I moved out of my parents’ house, the only things I was allowed to take were my bedding, my clothes — though I left anything with a designer label — and my DVDs. Damn him and his observation skills.
“You’re right. I’ll try to do that next time. But really Sy, I want you to know it’s not you doing anything to put me out. I’m just… a bit of a reserved person.”
It’s an odd thing considering my job, but it’s like there’s a brick wall in my brain and Razzy’s confidence doesn’t exist without her makeup and her wig.
I clear up my dinner plate then take my laptop from the counter. “I have a bit more work to do tonight but thank you for dinner.”
“Anytime, Riley. I meant it.”

p.p.s, so sorry if this isn’t my best work :(
“Come on, (Y/N), don’t be a party pooper!”
(Y/N) rolled her eyes as she pulled her best friend aside from all the commotion, “Sarah. I’m serious. I feel like he’s cheating on me.”
“He’s not!” Sarah groaned, and when (Y/N) gave her a look, she sighed. “I’m serious. He loves you too much, okay? Look, tomorrow’s your birthday, right? I’m sure JJ’s just ignoring you as a part of your birthday surprise.”
(Y/N) wanted to believe her so bad, but she couldn’t deny the strong feeling growing inside her. Ever since a month ago, JJ wasn’t there for her like always. When she tried to hold him in the van or at the Chateau, he would flinch and scoot away from her. She didn’t know what to do anymore.
“Look-” Sarah cupped her face, her eyes boring into hers. “I promise that he’s not cheating on you. Can you please let this go? How about you go and find him, have a smoke, and then come back to me with the verdict?”
(Y/N) hummed back in response, thinking about what Sarah had just told her. When she first moved to Obx from the city 4 years ago, she had been spending most of her time with the other kooks. When she bumped onto JJ one particular evening while he was too busy mowing down her lawn, that was when most of her happiest days started.
(Y/N) made her way towards the far end of the beach where JJ and the other pogues were hanging out, her feet lightly patting against the hot sand. (Y/N) took a deep breath when she saw the love of her life laughing on a log, and quickly walked towards him.
“Hey,” she started, sitting on the empty space beside him. JJ shifted, giving her more space, and muttered a quick ‘hi’ back. He offered her a beer, to which she shook her head to, and he shrugged before downing the whole content.
“You’ve got some beer here,” (Y/N) said, leaning forward to wipe the tiny droplet on his chin. JJ hurtled backwards as if on cue, and quickly wiped the stain with the back of his hand. (Y/N) stared at him, being caught off guard, but decided to not create any drama.
“You really don’t have to do that,” (Y/N) muttered, wrapping her cardigan over her tighter. The cold night air swept over her, causing her hair to fall over her shoulders. She didn’t bother to fix it as she watched JJ scoffed, the fire in front of them reflecting on the surface of his blue eyes.
“Do what? Wipe my mouth? Come on, (Y/N), it’s really not that big of a deal,” JJ sighed. He didn’t even bother to hold her hand, to reassure her that it’s really okay, and instead he continued his conversation with John B about some kind of a movie. She noticed Pope looking at their way, but he quickly turned to look at the waves when she returned his gaze.
“Do you want to smoke?” she tried again, this time with her hands on his lap. He didn’t move, and (Y/N) took this as a good sign, her heart fluttering happily.
It’s progress.
“You sure?” he asked, fumbling with his back pocket to reach for his extra blunt. When he grasped the rolled up herbs between his fingers, he handed it to her, smiling when she scooted closer. He lighted it for her, watching her took a deep huff before blowing the smoke.
“That’s good?” he asked before taking a blow for himself. He felt his heavy mind getting lighter, the weight he has been holding since forever slowly lifting into the air. He laughed, and turned to look at the state of the girl beside him.
“Thank you, baby,” (Y/N) smiled, this time with her head on his shoulder. She saw Pope looking at them with some kind of a heavy look again, but just like before, he turned away before she could ask him anything.
“Pope?”
Pope’s attention from the crashing waves turned completely to (Y/N), his eyes wide and his mind panicking. His eyes glanced to the blonde boy beside her for a second, but it settled back to her. “Yes?”
“You’re okay? You keep looking at me. Is there anything that you want to tell me?”
“Me?” he pointed to his chest, and when he saw the look on JJ’s face, he laughed, making an action of swatting his hands against the air. “Oh no. I was just thinking about something else. I guess I involuntarily looked at you.”
(Y/N) laughed with him, her head still on JJ’s shoulder, her eyes slowly squinting against the glowing fire that seemed to be too bright. She turned to whisper to JJ, “Can we go home?”
“Tonight? But It’s Bonfire night. We can’t leave yet,” he protested, glancing at both of his friends for help. Pope, not wanting to spend anymore time with them anymore, quickly stood up from his seat and walked towards the main space of the party.
“I’m gonna go with Pope, okay? Find Sarah. Go and talk to her? I’ll call you later,” JJ quickly added, standing up from his seat, stirring (Y/N) from her previous position. She sighed, her head still woozy, but she didn’t want to think about the possibility of him cheating on her.
He wanted her first, it’s just not possible for him to suddenly lose feelings for her. The countless times he would tell her that he loves her, that she’s the only girl he will ever mark as his, and now nothing?
She groaned, kicking the sand, all while the muffled music thrumming against her eardrums. She turned to look at John B, the only guy left with her, and opened her mouth to say something.
“Do you see the problem, John B?” she asked, her voice slow. When he didn’t reply, she sighed again, this time standing up from her seat to return to the ongoing party. “This is exactly the fucking problem.”
She didn’t understand; why is everyone treating her differently? What did she do? She sacrificed almost everything to be apart of their group, including her relationship with her kook friends. At that moment, she longed for her bedroom, where she knew she will be totally safe, all cuddled up with Netflix to enjoy.
“If it isn’t the princess,” a voice said from behind her back, and (Y/N) rolled her eyes before turning to look at the source. The tall figure of Rafe Cameron loomed over her, and (Y/N) tried to block his scent of cigarette and expensive cologne. She never really stopped liking his smell.
The Camerons and her family are business partners, and that was the core reason for her family to move to Obx in the middle of July 4 years ago. Meeting Sarah and her siblings for the first time, she couldn’t deny the strong attraction she felt towards the oldest sibling, but she had thought of it as nothing more than a silly crush and tried to focus more on her relationship with a certain blonde boy living on the other side of the island.
“You can take a picture, it’ll last longer that way,” he smiled, and (Y/N) groaned when she could hear the amused tone lacing in his gruff voice. She made to walk away, but was halted by Rafe’s fingers around her wrist.
“Come on, I was just playing. That’s not the way to treat an old friend,” he laughed, letting go of her. He looked around her, noticing her odd behaviour, and suppressed his smile. “Where’s the boyfriend?”
“I don’t know,” she finally replied, and returned the gesture of looking around him. “Where’s the girlfriend?”
Rafe laughed, throwing his head back as his hair messily slicked to the back. “Girlfriend? I don’t do girlfriends. Come on, (Y/N), you know that.”
“Not a surprise,” she said in a singing tone, giving her attention towards the dancing bodies next to the speaker. “Look, Rafe, just say whatever you want to say to me, okay? I’m tired of trying to figure out what people wanted to say to me.”
“I just want to make a conversation,” he shrugged, chugging down his beer before wiping his mouth with the back of his hand. His actions reminded her of JJ, and she quickly looked away when she felt a pang of hurt across her heart.
“Uh-oh, I know that look,” Rafe said, tugging her chin to force her to look at him. (Y/N) grunted, feeling his cold skin against hers, but she let him stare into her eyes before quickly pulling away. “Yeah. It’s that look you’ll put when you’re worried about something. What’s up?”
“Rafe, it’s really nothing,” she sighed, scooting away from the boy. She looked around again, and her eyes landed on a certain blonde boy, and she could feel her heart soaring up again. Rafe’s eyes followed her gaze, and when he saw JJ, he turned to look away.
“I’ll talk to you later, okay?”
“Yeah, whatever,” Rafe replied, already making his way towards the keg station.  (Y/N) noticed the change in his behaviour, seeing how cold he turned, but decided not to mention it. She was being cold towards him first, so she guessed it was fair for him to be acting that way.
Rafe didn’t understand how blind she could be. Couldn’t she notice the pattern of the girls he fucked? How they all looked so similar to her?
He scoffed, sipping from his red cup as he watched her walk towards the boy that stole her from him. Everything was going perfect; they were hanging out almost every day; just her and Rafe, either it was in his swimming pool or (Y/N)’s hot tub. When her father had hired JJ Maybank to mower his lawn, that was when everything went downhill.
“Cameron,” a voice greeted from beside him, and when he turned to look at the figure, he expressed a sly smirk.
One more person that looked like her.
. . .
JJ’s phone was beside her.
She kept telling herself no, that she should trust him since they are in a relationship, but her brain was yelling for her to go through his phone.
He’s cheating on you.
She groaned, unable to contain herself anymore as she grabbed his phone, looking around briefly before typing his passcode.
The phone vibrated in her hands as she failed to guess his passcode, and she frowned before the screen. It had been her birthday’s date, so why wouldn’t it open? She tried again with their anniversary date, and again, was met with the same fate.
“What the fuck?” she said to no one in particular, and sighed before trying out random numbers. Lastly, she pressed all 1, not thinking much of it and already accepting her defeat. She exclaimed in happiness when his home screen appeared with his background a picture of a dog.
(Y/N) frowned again, remembering how it used to be a picture of them, but decided to not question it as their picture had been replaced by a dog instead of something else. She went through his Instagram, scroling down the many direct messages, through his Imessages; where he texts the pogues a lot and through his Snapchat, only finding their private pictures in his ‘my eyes only’.
She released the breath she didn’t realise she was holding, shutting the phone off and letting it lay in its previous position. She smiled, secretly cursing at herself for ever doubting JJ. He must’ve been busy with his life, just-
Ding!
Involuntarily, (Y/N) picked up the phone and watched as Kie’s name appeared. She typed in his passcode quickly, trying to see what she needs so that she could try and help her with anything in case if it’s urgent. Her heart stopped for a minute when she saw her text.
Kie: You’re sleeping with her tonight?
Why would she even text him that?
(Y/N) sat up straighter, her fingers gliding across the screen in a swift motion.
wdym?
She watched as the typing signal appeared, biting the insides of her cheeks. She looked at the direction of the toilet again, hearing the blonde boy humming to a Nirvana song. She looked at the screen again.
Kie: You promised me you would be with me tonight
Kie: Just us two
Oh my god.
She could feel the hot tears coming in, but her bathroom door creaked open, so she threw the phone back to its initial position and cleared her throat, looking to the ceiling and randomly muttering words to herself.
“Huh?” JJ asked, looking at the direction she pointed. He saw nothing, and looked back to her.
“I said white’s not the color anymore. I think I’m changing it to grey. What do you think?” She asked, feeling her throat hurting. She cleared her throat again as JJ stared at the ceiling one more time, his face all scrunched up.
“I think grey’s okay?” He said, but it was more to a question. He took his phone and sat beside her, shielding his screen from her. She watched him from the corners of her eyes, silently interpreting his strange demeanor.
She cursed when it finally hit her; she hadn’t delete her text to Kie.
She bit her lips, curling her toes and randomly tracing circles on her lap. She couldn’t breathe, she couldn’t see clearly, she couldn’t think.
How could she forgot to delete that one, single text?
“I have to go,” JJ stood up, slipping his phone into his pocket. (Y/N) looked at him, ready to ask if she could follow, but halted her action when he put a hand up.
“I’m seeing John B. Something about, um, Sarah stuff. Just me and Pope. The boys,” he muttered, clearly trying to tell her that he wouldn’t be bringing her to the Chateau. (Y/N) nodded, feeling her heart sank, because she finally understood everything;
The glances he would give to Kie in the HMS Pogue, the brief moments where he would put his hands around Kie’s waist when he tries to slip in between her and someone, the flirtatious laugh he’ll emit when she makes a joke - it all made sense.
(Y/N) used to think that it was all just friendly behaviour and how he had known her longer hence it must’ve been normal for best friends to do that. One thing that (Y/N) likes about herself is how she’s able to guess things correctly -
But she had never wanted to be so wrong about something before.
“You’re okay by yourself tonight?”
“Huh?” She finally looked up to him, seeing his blue eyes staring straight into her boring ones. “Yeah. I’ll be fine.”
“Okay,” he smiled, proceeding towards the open window to exit her bedroom. (Y/N) ‘s father would never give his blessings towards this relationship, so he had to enter and exit his girlfriend’s room through the window.
He hesitated before reaching the seating girl, placing a soft but immediate kiss on her cheeks. (Y/N) smiled weakly in return, not trusting herself to say anything.
How could he?
Ten minutes after his departure, (Y/N) quickly grabbed her father’s car keys before fleeing after a particular black motorcycle. She didn’t even think about turning the car radio on, and her mind was set on only one thing; JJ and Kie.
When she arrived at the Chateau, her fingers trembling and her hair all over the place from the wind while she was driving down the road, forgetting to close the window, she quickly made her way to their usual hanging out place.
Before she could enter the room, Pope’s voice interrupted her actions.
“(Y/N)? What the fuck are you doing here?” he asked, his eyes widening. He looked at her palm around the doorknob, and let out a nervous laugh. “You’re looking for JJ? He’s not here.”
She gets it now.
“Pope, I know,” was all she said before opening the door.
She felt her world shattering right after she was greeted with the sight of Kie on JJ’s lap, running her fingers through his blonde locks while she kissed him tenderly like  (Y/N) always did. John B and Sarah were right next to him, cheering him on, but stopped when they finally looked up to the looming figure.
“Oh my god,” Kie exclaimed, pushing herself off JJ and fixing her hair. (Y/N) made a look, disgust filling every inch of her body as she quickly walked away from the scene, not wanting to hear any apologies or explanation.
None of that mattered to her; she just wanted to go home.
“(Y/N)!” she heard him yell, but she exited the Chateau as fast as her feet could take her, not stopping to look at him. She cursed when she couldn’t find the right key to open her door, her fingernails clanking against the metal.
“It was a dare!” JJ said, right after he reached her. He watched as she didn’t pay any attention towards him, still fumbling for her keys. “I swear! The kiss was just a dare!”
“Was the text a dare as well?” she asked, finally putting the right key into the keyhole and stepping into the car. JJ cursed and stepped aside, feeling drained and tired from the screaming.
Of course he didn’t send the ‘wdym’. He never like short forms, only using them when he is in the toilet and typing with his left hand. Why didn’t he realised this sooner?
“I’m sorry,” he said, but before he could say anything else, the girl drove straight towards the exit, away from him.
The worst part of all wasn’t about not having a chance to explain himself to get out of the mess he made, but it was when he saw the pained look on her face.
“Fuck!” he yelled, kicking a stone and making his way back towards the Chateau.
(Y/N) fingers scrolled down the many contacts in her phone as she tried to focus on the road simultaneously, and finally stopping when she reached the letter ‘R’ contacts.
She tapped on the first name under the R letter, putting the phone call on speaker and placing her phone on her lap. She shuddered, suddenly remembering the way she had found JJ and Kie in, but shook her head when his voice filled the atmosphere.
“Hello?”
“Hey, Rafe.”

In Loving Memory (Bucky Barnes imagine)
Tumblr media
Request: @missroro the reader is steve twin and she married to bucky after the blip, she had enough of the 'new captain america' thing shes really mad, so when walker and his friend start talking about joining forces she snap like she pull out a gun and pointing right at them, also sam ofc dont forget about sam. Sam trying to stop her while bucky "nah let her do her fun"
Words: 2021
Warning: !!TFATWS SPOILER!! without context - violence
A/N: wrote this today, it basically follows the events of ep3 of fatws but without context. I have a couple of exams this week so I won't be able to post until next saturday. Until then, enjoy
"You shouldn’t have gave him the shield"
Sam frowned, turning back to look at Bucky.
"I didn’t gave him the shield" He defended himself, making a point.
"Well, Steve definitely didn’t" Y/N ironically answered back.
He gave her a pointed stare. They had had this conversation countless times and Y/N never missed a chance to remind him of what she thought was a huge mistake.
"You are the reason this is happening, Sam. You chose to take on my brother’s legacy and threw it out the window"
The man didn’t reply and pursed his lips. He knew she didn’t mean any of her harsh words, she was angry and still mourning. If taking it out on him could make her feel better, he would let her.
"Y/N, stop" Bucky took a step toward his wife, clasping her hand in his metal one. He had hoped the physical contact would be enough to calm her down.
"He abandoned me, Sam" She continued, her voice filled with emotions. "He was gone and all I had left was memories. I chose this life for him, I fought with him, I believed in everything he represented. I looked up to him, to Captain America. And today, even those memories are gone, taken by the same government you and I were up against, mocked by clowns pretending to be heroes, all because you gave up"
The Falcon closed his eyes and dropped his head. She couldn’t see his point of view, or share his opinions when her judgment was clouded by so much pain. He wished she could understand the dilemma, the duality that represented the shield for him.
"Y/N, please, that’s enough" Bucky whispered next to her ear.
She turned her head toward him and as usual, his heart broke when he saw the torment in her eyes. She didn’t need to speak, she was an open book to him. They both had lost so much and yet were all each other had left. They were collateral damage, their own team against a world that wasn’t theirs anymore. She silently nodded, assuring him she was fine. Sam watched Bucky kissing her forehead and he furrowed his brow. He would never admit it but he was glad they had each other, because no one could carry that much pain alone without crumbling apart.
Before any of them could add anything, soldiers in blue and red erupted in the room, bursting through the door of the apartment where they were hiding in Latvia. Bucky instinctively grabbed Y/N and forced her body to move behind his. The two man stood in front of them, tall and proud, a smug smile on their lips.
"Alright, that’s it, your time is up" The man calling himself Captain America announced, the shield in one hand, the other pointing at the three avengers. "Tell me where Zemo is"
"We know you’re hiding him" His sidekick added.
"I’m ordering you to turn him over"
Sam eyed them up and down.
"Let’s be clear, the only thing you’re running here is your mouth" The Falcon firmly replied, crossing his arms.
"I gave you a chance to work with us" He mentioned.
" ‘For us’ is the correct way to put it, tough guy. And we said no." Y/N reminded him, her face showing how much she was annoyed.
"You’re obviously in over your head so I suggest you turn back and go" Sam argued.
"You really want this conversation to go there ?" The hero threatened.
Bucky straightened up when he felt Y/N tensing. He knew she was already on the verge of snapping. One wrong word from the man she hated and this could go down to hell.
"Should I put down the shield ?" He continued to challenge Sam. "Make it fair?"
The woman groaned and when John Walker dropped his weapon, without a second thought, she grabbed the nearest knife and threw it right at his face. The man had barely enough time to move back and his eyes rose in surprise when the blade stuck itself into the wall with force.
"Sorry, it slipped" She ironically explained, shrugging.
"You don’t want to play this game with me" He tried to intimidate her, tilting his head to the side.
She smiled, pleased he was giving her the opportunity to smack his face. Bucky clenched his fists when he saw her walking in front of Walker. Without tearing her eyes away from his, she seized her knife and pulled it out of the wall with a sharp movement.
"I think someone should teach you a lesson, Walker" She told him in a low tone.
"Are you offering ?" He challenged her.
"Don’t tempt me"
"You’re lucky you’re his sister" He grinned. "But don’t push it. This Captain America is not as lenient as the previous was"
Bucky swore under his breath. It was too late now. And just as Sam looked at him with concern, Y/N threw her fist in a curved punch at the soldier. He used his forearm to counter the blow, but she was faster and had far more experience. Using the momentum, her foot rose up and kicked him in the face. The man was thrown back, shaking his head in confusion.
"We should do something" Sam advised the former assassin.
"No. Let her have her fun" He crossed his arms, harboring a small smirk.
The soldier tried to hit her back, but even when he took the shield she blocked his attack. His sidekick soon joined the fight and distracted her for a second, just enough time for Walker to punch her. Immediately, she felt the taste of blood in her mouth, but no pain. She was passed that, far too pissed to feel anything.
Another blow on her chest send her to the ground and Hoskins hold her down while his friend was about to hit her with her brother’s shield. He raised it in the air, with every intention of beating her, but a strong metal hand stopped him in his movement. A very infuriated Bucky stood before him, his blue eyes darkening with anger. He firmly took the weapon, knocked Hoskins out with it and threw it across the room.
"If you wanted to make it fair, you shouldn’t have chosen to hit my wife" His tone was terrifying.
Walker didn’t seem as confident anymore. Bucky looked imposing, brute force ready to strike. His metal arm clenched in a fist and, without warning, it collided with the soldier’s jaw, sending him a few feet away. He strode to the man on the ground and grabbed him by the collar of his uniform
"This is all easy for you, isn’t it ?" Walker spoke with venom, staring at Bucky. "All that serum running through your veins"
With a swift movement, Y/N took the shield and launched it with power right on the soldier’s chest. The blow was so violent his body crashed into a door before landing on the floor. She was furious by his statement and he could see it with every step she made toward him. She grabbed the gun attached to her thigh and pointed it at his face.
"Lesson number one: learn when to shut up. Especially when you don't know what you're talking about" She was fuming but had not intention on killing the man, despite the sheer desire to do so.
She didn’t realize Sam was next to her until she saw his hand lowering her gun.
"This isn’t what Steve would want." He calmly expressed. "Remember, there’s always another way"
Her lips quivered and she closed her eyes, remembering how many times her brother had told her that. She let him take the weapon and looked up at him. The conviction and kindness in his stare were enough. He didn’t have to say anything. Every words she needed to hear, he spoke them in silence.
She turned back to Bucky and he cupped her face, inspecting the bruise on her skin. He seemed ready to go back and beat the man down. Y/N softly smiled and clasped her hands around his wrists. He stroke her cheek and pulled her toward him before carefully kissing her lips.
"Good ?" He asked in a soft voice he only used with her.
"Good"
It was something between them, a single word they spoke every time they fought. Wherever they were, whomever they were up against, if one of them asked, the other had to answer. It was their intimate way to always know they were alright.
Later that day, Sam and Bucky had decided to go talk to the leader of the Flag Smasher, Karli Morgenthau, while Y/N had been charged to follow Walker and Hoskins. As soon as she had seen they were going after the young super soldier, she had warned her friends about the danger. She knew enough about the new Captain to guess he had no intention on arresting Karli. He wanted to make justice himself. She pitied his sidekick. He seemed like a decent man with good ideas struggling to find virtue on the wrong side of the battle. He was Walker’s collateral damage.
She wondered what Steve would think of all that if he could see them fighting both super soldiers and Captain America. He never cared for the star and stripes, never used his shield to harm. His heart was with the people he defended. Even when it had been against Tony, he pursued what he believed was best. Was that what Walker was trying to do ? She couldn’t know. But she was sure of one thing, the man had nothing in common with Steve. Pride, ego and selfishness were never traits anyone would have used to describe her brother. She couldn’t bear for him to be replaced, especially to a man that didn’t share his morals or any of his opinions. The shield he was carrying wasn’t just a weapon, it was her brother’s symbol of hope, a symbol he had fought so hard to forge. The man made the uniform, not the other way around. That’s what Walker didn’t get. Up until that point, people had not been following Captain America, they had been following Steve Rogers.
Standing in that public square, she didn’t realize she was crying until she felt Bucky entwined his fingers with hers. She couldn’t avert her eyes from the horrific scenery. Powerlessly, she watched a man she didn’t know being executed. His opponent was merciless, striking with determination and rage, using the only piece of memory she had left of her brother to bring terror and death. Frozen on the spot in the middle of the crowd, she could see the fear in all those strangers eyes and it felt like grief coming in waves, a shard in her guts that would never leave. It felt like this particular moment was choking the breath out of her body, short circuiting her mind. What was whole once completely shattered and she couldn’t find the strength to be angry anymore. All her brother had built had fallen apart in the split of a second and all the world had left was a bloodied image of his symbol of hope. A symbol that was no more.
“Sam...” She called him, almost like a scared child.
“I know...”
Both men looked worried. Y/N felt Bucky’s hand trembling and she squeezed him harder. She could easily guess how he felt. Steve had saved both of them, he had gave them a purpose, had allowed the former assassin to be more than the weapon Hydra had made of him. Pieces by pieces, he had brought their family back together. And as they both stood there, witnessing the horrifying end of his legacy, Bucky realized everything his bestfriend had fought for was turning into dust.
"I’m sorry" Y/N whispered to Sam. "But there’s no other way now"
Her husband dropped his head, trying to regain a sense of control over his emotions. Wordlessly agreeing with her, he turned to their friend.
“He has to be stopped”

Getting tall
Summary: Damian finally hits his growth spurts and the fam have opinions. Some damijon, timkon, jaytemis, and dickori mentioned.
Damian was an adorable tiny murder baby when he first showed up at the manor. Like a feral kitten. Short end of normal growth at 10 years old and thin too, Dr Leslie found. Make sure he eats 3 square meals and snacks when he wants and he’ll be just fine. Alfred had made it his mission, as he had done for both Jason and Tim, to put weight on Damian.
The first family member he outgrew was Cass. She reached over to ruffle his hair only to reach up above her head rather than below it. She didn’t mind. 5’4 isn’t very tall. She’d just have to remember that the next time they spar. Height wasn’t an important factor to her.
It was a few months later that Damian hit a massive growth spurt and grew 4 inches. He passed by 5’6 Stephanie.
“Hey little dude. What are they puttin in your food, miracle grow?” She asked when she noted how tall he was and how big his feet had gotten. Damian was a bit like the giant puppies all gangly. Alfred was adjusting the Robin costume monthly after Damian rushed to put it on for patrol one day and every time he raised his arms he felt his stomach show. Clothes were constantly being bought that met his newest height increase. The Kents were very appreciative of the barely worn clothing Jon got as Damian went through another pair.
“I’m perfectly normal in growth,” he said pulling on the hem of his shirt that was growing shorter by the day. Stephanie eyed him but left it. Tim hated the height jokes they would make when everyone started passing him in height. Nowadays Tim just rolled his eyes and deferred all short jokes to Bart who Damian was now taller than. Bart didn’t care at all because he was short but he was also at least top 3 faster people ever so who cares right?
For a very short time, Damian was taller than Jon. He liked that. Jon thought it was pretty funny.
“D, I’m going to be taller. My dad and mom are both taller than yours. I’ll be taller in the end,” Jon said with a grin before Damian pushed him off the roof. Jon giggled and stared at Damian with obvious heart eyes. The kid was definitely smitten.
Tim was half an inch taller. He didn’t acknowledge it in any way. But it wasn’t surprising. His mother was tiny, his father lower end of average, and Tim probably skipped too many meals with working during an important growth phase while he was becoming Robin. 5’8.5 is a perfectly normal height for a man. He had an easier time with stealth.
Bruce watched as his son grew more handsome and taller everyday. He recognized things he hadn’t taken the time to see with Dick or Jason and had missed completely with Tim. Aftershave, cologne, and deodorant budget went up exponentially and Damian was barred from bringing any of his shoes in the house and his Robin uniform had to double washed occasionally. He spent far longer in the bathroom doing his hair and agonizing over any spot on his face.
Bruce even once caught Damian do the lean on the doorframe while talking to someone they like when Jon visited once. He had to give the worst birds and bees talk of all time. Bruce also noted how Damian had Talia’s nose and his lip curled the same way hers did when he smiled. He stretched when walking to the breakfast table the same way Dick did.
Damian didn’t get another true growth spurt for 2 years. There was plenty of jokes that he jumped up to his height and didn’t move again. Jon was once again taller than Damian. Alfred was ready this time with the massive amount of food the 15 year old could put away and panels in his costume for easier adjustments.
Talia smiled proudly at her son as he grew taller than her. He was turning out handsome like his father but kept her feature and in her mind, that was the perfect combo. She never told Damian because she didn’t him to grow arrogant.
Dick didn’t notice it right away. He was so busy with Bludhaven and the Titans that he didn’t notice Damian had gotten a full inch taller than him. He only realized when him and Damian practiced a complex move that required a taller and shorter partner while training. They paired up as they always did and the maneuver completely fell apart. Dick was mentally putting together why it failed when Damian walked over and it clicked. Little D was not so little anymore.
“You’re taller than me,” he said brightly. Damian immediately grinned.
“So now you’re little D,” Damian said back. Dick laughed at that one.
“Don’t let it go to your head. I can throw you around like a tilt-a-whirl,” Dick warned. Of course, that’s exactly what happened the next time they sparred when Damian tried to use his height advantage.
“I can beat Jason so don’t think you can beat me just by being bigger,” Dick said standing over Damian who rolled his eyes.
Dick had no problem with Damian getting taller. It was his own height he had a complicated relationship with. See, Dick grew up as an acrobat. Being tall is a disadvantage. More weight to swing, more body to move. And his father had told him growing up that almost every Grayson man has been 5’8. It’s a legacy as strong as flying above the circus crowd.
And so when at 15, Dick was very distraught with the fact that he hadn’t stopped growing at 5’8. It felt like a part of his history and family legacy had died. He wasn’t one of the 5’8 Grayson men. He never told anyone beside Kori, late at night where she told him she loved him tall or small. She had already far outpaced Dick and was on her way to being 6’4.
Duke and Alfred and Damian were the same height for a short while. Duke would joke that he could just wear the Robin’s costume since they were the same size. Damian would threaten to disembowel him if he touched it and that made Duke laugh even more.
When he grew taller Duke once again joked with Damian calling him a not so jolly green giant and Alfred considered his nutrition attempt a complete success. Damian went from a tiny kid to a tall strong young man.
Damian and Jon were practically the same size for a while. Jon barely bent his neck to rest his chin on Damian’s shoulder as his partner worked on a complex mechanical part. Then Jon hit another growth spurt to end in his final height of 6’2, same as Bruce and his father. Damian enjoyed having a taller boyfriend for a while but would never say anything. High school dances were nice.
Bruce could see Damian getting taller and stronger and was practically grown. Dr Leslie warned Bruce that growth could continue until Damian was in his early 20s and he could end up a quite tall young man or stop tomorrow.
Jason liked being the tallest and biggest in the family. He had an entire inch in height on Bruce and was at least 20 lbs heavier. He was built like tank. When Jason had died at 15, he was terrifyingly thin. Alfred had tried his best but Jason had suffered malnutrition and hunger from practically birth. He was short and thin and Dr Leslie had told Bruce he probably always would be. And so when Jason came back to life a giant 6’3 and over 200 lbs, it was a shock. It took him forever to accept his size as anything more than an amour to create fear in his enemies. The first time he had accidentally scared a woman walking in the street at night, Jason had hated that he was so big. But within his family, it had become a source of pride. He was certainly taller than Dick and Alfred and even Bruce.
So when he visited Cass’s birthday party and Jason stood next to Damian and realized that the kid was taller than him, he was a little shocked. Damian had reached his final height of 6’4.
“When the hell did you get so big?” Jason asked while cake was being served. Dick nosed in the conversation.
“Little D is taller than you now,” he said with a teasing grin at Jason.
“And yet you insist on calling me Little D,” Damian said with an eye roll.
“I call him Big D,” Jon said with a smile. Dick blanched and Jason coughed out an awkward laugh.
“Good for you, bro,” he said patting Damian on the back. Jon blushed at the sudden understanding.
“No! I mean- he’s taller than me. I didn’t mean- uh,” Jon stuttered. Damian grabbed him by the shoulder and dragged him away from his brothers who were laughing.
“It’s weird you know,” Jason admitted, scratching the back of his neck.
“The fact that he is dating Jon?”
“No, they’ve been together forever. That he’s taller than me,” Jason said.
“Are you- does it bother you that you aren’t the tallest?” Dick asked with a gleeful smile.
“No,” Jason said abruptly.
“It could be like how I learned my little brother was bigger than me,” Dick teased. “All of a sudden you were just massive. My tiny little brother was this big dude. Good thing I’m comfortable with my masculinity.”
“Your girlfriend is like 6 inches taller than you. If that isn’t emasculating then there’s nothing I could do,” Jason answered.
“Yeah, she’s always been taller than me,” Dick said with a fond smile. “You can’t talk with the Amazon you’ve been hanging with.” He pushed Jason’s shoulder with a grin.
“We’re just friends-I guess,” Jason said uncomfortable. “That’s not the same-“
“Well at least Tim will always be our little brother,” Dick changed the subject but mentally noted Jason’s reaction to the mention of Artemis.
“Yeah, he’ll always be a shrimp,” Jason agreed.
“Honestly fuck you both,” Tim said from across the room. With Kon standing next to him he certainly looked tiny.
“Hey, it’s my birthday and I am the shortest and I can still kick all of your butts,” Cassandra reminded them both and they laughed but neither corrected her because they knew she was right.

Two Peculiar Admirers | Shuntaro Chishiya, Suguru Niragi
PART 1 | PART 2
{Alice In Borderland Masterlist}

You and Chishiya slowly made your way down to the pool to spend the next few hours at with Kuina. On the way, Chishiya had to keep sniffing and wiping his nose to stop the blood dripping. It made you frown. There was no way just smacking his nose would make it bleed that much.
Chishiya soon asked you a question that was itching in the back of his mind. “So, you know Niragi huh?” he questioned, looking at you.
You looked back at him confused. “Huh?”
“I said so you know Niragi?”
“Oh,” you understood, turning your head ahead of you again. “Yeah, I know him. We aren’t close, but he seems to think we are.” You laughed at the statement, seeming to find it as a joke almost. But Chishiya was not laughing.
“Yeah, I know,” he said bluntly. “Look I know you may think he just has some harmless crush on you, but he honestly is a really evil person Y/N.”
Chishiya wasn’t sure what he was going to get out of telling you that. Was he generally worried for your safety around Niragi? Or did he just want you all to himself? He didn’t know his aim himself.
You furrowed your eyebrows. You didn’t like the way he was talking to you, like you were stupid or something.
“Chishiya, I know. I’m not an idiot,” you said, matter-of-factly.
Chishiya had a small moment of panic. He was afraid he had offended you. “Yeah, I know! That is not what I meant at all,” he recollected himself, waving his hands in front of him in worry.
You both then walked in silence the rest of the way down to the pool. It was rather awkward after that, making the air a bit tense. Chishiya wanted desperately to restart a conversation but he couldn’t think of anything to say.
When you arrived at the back entrance of the hotel that led out to the pool, as soon as the large glass doors opened your ears rang from the loud music. It was the same as every night, people drunkenly dancing and trying to make the best of their own lives while they lasted.
Chishiya quickly scanned the area. There was no way he’d be able to keep an eye out for Niragi in this kind of crowd. He thought it was best he just stayed close to you in case the insistent man decided to approach you.
He turned towards you to see you distracted by a few rowdy people by the pool. He reached out and carefully linked his arm with yours and pulled you towards him.
You turned around, surprised by the sudden bold move and looked up at Chishiya, but he didn’t meet eyes with you. You shrugged and just thought it was his attempt of flirting.
Chishiya dragged you around the area looking for Kuina. He kept you joined as his hip, sometimes accidentally pulling you a little too harshly by the arm and making you wince in pain. He was lowkey freaking you out. He’s never acted like this before.
When he found Kuina over on a small, secluded table near the wall, he breathed a sigh of relief. At least he wouldn’t have to face Niragi alone now if he found him.
“Kuina!” you yelled out as you saw her too. She shifted her eyes and saw you and Chishiya, a smile painting itself across her attractive face. You pulled your arm out of Chishiya’s grip and ran over to her.
Chishiya watched and grinned happily at you two as you jumped into her arms for a big hug. He was glad to have you with him. At least when you were by his side, he can protect you from that homicidal prick.
You all sat down, sipping drinks that Kuina went and got from the bar for all of you. All three of you enjoyed yourselves and laughed at each other’s jokes and stories from life before the Borderlands. It felt nice to connect with your friends more emotionally.
You stood up after a while and turned to the two of them. “I’m just going to go to the bathroom,” you said. After drinking multiple margaritas, you were a bit dizzy and desperate for the toilet.
Chishiya stood up quickly. “I’m coming with you,” he said, already climbing out of his seat.
You shook your hands towards him. “No, no, no! Chishiya it’s fine! I can go by myself. Thanks anyway though.” You sent a cheeky wink his way and started walking away from the table.
Chishiya watched as you started getting further and further away from him. He began slightly panicking. He knew that if Niragi saw a chance to get you alone, he wouldn’t hesitate to take it.
Before he could even stand up again, Kuina grabbed his arm, making him turn his attention towards her. “Oi, what’s your deal tonight? You’ve been bouncing your leg under the table and fiddling with every little thing. The hell has got you so worried?” Kuina asked with a curious look on her face.
Chishiya glanced quickly back towards you to check you weren’t that far before turning back to Kuina. “I think Niragi’s been stalking Y/N. I’ve been keeping an eye out because I’m worried that he’ll snatch her the moment she’s alone,” he whispered to her.
Kuina’s eyes widened in shock. “Niragi’s after her?! For what?!” she whisper-yelled.
Chishiya shook his head in uncertainty. “I’m not too sure, but he seems to show a lot of interest in her,” he said, turning to see you making your way through the entrance to the hotel.
“I have to go.” He shot up out of his seat and tried to evade his way through the crowd that suddenly appeared near the entrance. His anxiety spiked as you left his sight, and he began panicking on the inside. He had to get to you before Niragi did.
But through his panic, he failed to notice the tall man follow you inside, closely behind with his usual rifle slung over his shoulder. He finally caught you alone, and he wasn’t going to waste the time he had.
*************
You happily strolled down the few hallways to reach the lobby. There was a women’s bathroom nearby there that you could go to, so you slowly were making your way there.
You didn’t expect your path to be so abruptly interrupted by a sudden hand over your mouth. Your eyes widened and you instantly gripped the hand’s wrist, attempting to pull it off. You thrashed around violently and your heart pumped adrenaline through your body widely as the stranger locked their other arm around your waist, beginning to pull you backwards into a nearby room.
You kicked and bashed your body against them to try and break free, but nothing was working. This person was much taller and much stronger than you.
As you saw the door frames appear on either side of you, you reached out and gripped it as tight as you could, attempting to pull yourself out of their grasp urgently. You were panicking, screaming against the hand that was over your mouth to alert someone nearby, but no one would’ve been able to hear you.
Your stomach dropped as your attacker pulled harshly suddenly, almost breaking your fingers gripping desperately on the door frame from the force. They slipped from the wood and you fell backwards into the stranger’s chest. They quickly regained their balance from your fall and kicked the door shut with their foot.
You still had fight in you, giving them a painful jab to the ribcage with your elbow. They groaned in pain and their grip loosened on you, allowing you to take your chance and crawl away towards the closed door.
But they saw your plan and grabbed you by the ankle, pulling you back violently towards them causing you to almost faceplant onto the floorboards below you. They got to their feet quickly and jumped over you to the door, locking it in a rush then turning back to you.
As you regained your strength and kneeled back onto your heels to get away from, you noticed their familiar face. Of course, it was him.
“Niragi?! What the fuck?!” you exclaimed, stumbling to your feet and holding onto the wall for support.
“I thought you were someone else! What the hell was that for?!” you yelled at him.
Niragi dropped his rifle to the ground. How he managed to still have it on him after that you had no idea. But the look he was giving you now made you not care so much.
“I did that because I wanted to do this.”
Before you could even retort against his statement, Niragi rushed to you and pressed you harshly against the wall with his hands on your waist while pressing his lips against yours.
Your heart stopped. You didn’t know what to do. You stayed completely frozen in his arms as he began moving his mouth against yours, sliding his tongue along your bottom lip. That’s when you came to terms with what was happening.
You pressed your hands against his chest and shoved. Niragi stumbled back with a smirk painted on his pierced face.
You couldn’t say anything. You were so in shock.
“Aw, have I left my little mouse speechless? It would be a first for you wouldn’t it sweetie?” he cooed, cradling your cheeks in his hands and lifting your head so you were looking directly into his eyes.
“You’re so beautiful, I just want to eat you up.” He pressed his lips against yours again, placing a gentle hand on your neck to turn your head sideways to make the kiss deeper.
You slowly closed your eyes and melted into his kiss, making him smirk against your lips. It felt strange. This man has done nothing but annoy you and stalk you the whole time you’ve been at The Beach, yet that moment felt so right.
You wrapped your arms around his upper back and balled his buttoned shirt into your fists as you leant closer to him, making him snake his arms around your waist to pull your closer, if that was even possible.
You pulled back from him after a couple of minutes, leaving a trail of saliva between your lips. You laughed and wiped your mouth before looking into his darkened eyes.
Niragi growled as he felt your hands slowly make their way under his shirt. “Are you sure you want to do this now?” he asked, raising a suggestive eyebrow to you.
“Isn’t that why you tackled me into this room with you?” you fired back, running your hands along his broad back.
Niragi chuckled and smirked. “I guess so.” He yet again crashed his lips onto yours, continuing where you left off.
Just as you felt him moving his hands lower on your body, the door handle suddenly jiggled violently from the other side, making you and Niragi jump in surprise. Someone was trying to get into the room.
“Y/N?! Are you in there?!” you heard them yell. It was Chishiya, you could recognize that voice anywhere.
You turned your head towards the door, thinking whether you should answer him or not. Niragi groaned in front of you, annoyed about being interrupted. “Just leave him, he’ll leave soon,” he said, leaning his head down and running his tongue along your neck to get your attention on him again.
You thought for a second before turning back to him again. “Okay.”
Before you knew it, the door suddenly erupted with a huge bang, making it shake violently. “What the fuck?!” Niragi yelled in surprise. He wasn’t expecting Chishiya to get so insistent so quickly.
“Y/N?! Y/N are you in there?! Answer me!” He sounded a bit desperate. He probably heard Niragi swear, making his suspicions rise.
You pushed on Niragi’s chest to get him to give you space to move. But he refused staying tightly pressed against you, almost covering your entire body with his.
You frowned up at him. “Niragi, please move!” you begged him, pushing against him with more force.
“Why? Why does it matter if Chishiya sees us?” he questioned you.
He had a point. Why did you care so much if Chishiya saw you? It should not matter to you, but why did it?
You took too long to think about what to do before the hinges of the door came loose from Chishiya’s barging. It gave way and he stumbled in, locking eyes with the scene before him.
There you stood, pressed up against the wall by Niragi with dark bites littering your neck. He felt sick from the sight.
Before you could even defend yourself or say anything, Chishiya barged his whole body towards Niragi, causing him to lose his footing from the impact and fall onto the ground, his temple narrowly missing the corner of the bed.
“How fucking dare you! You really think you can act all sleazy and creepy towards Y/N without me noticing?! As soon as she left the table, I knew something was bound to happen! And look where I found her! Forced up against a wall by you with fear all over her face! You really think I’m that fucking stupid Niragi?!” Chishiya spat out harsh words to Niragi over and over while you stood there awkwardly, trying to think of something to say.
After Chishiya had finished he turned around and had a worried expression. “Oh my god, Y/N are you okay? Where did he hurt you?” he asked in a panicky tone. He checked all over your body for any more bruise marks or any other injuries, worried that Niragi had harmed you.
“Um…” you said, not knowing what to say.
Chishiya stopped in his actions when he heard a sickening laugh behind him. He turned around to see Niragi throwing his head back and letting out the loudest and most psychotic laugh he had ever heard. Anger boiled in his blood.
“What the fuck are you laughing at?” he said harshly.
Niragi regained his breath and pressed his hand against his chest, trying to calm his heartbeat. “Oh Chishiya, you’re so idiotic. Trust me, she wanted it,” he chuckled, climbing back to his feet.
Chishiya frowned at him. “What do you mean? Of course she didn’t.”
“Oh, then how do you explain her kissing me back? Or running her hands up and down my back? Or her moaning underneath my tongue on her neck?” Niragi licked his teeth like a dog to annoy Chishiya.
You knew that last part wasn’t true. Niragi was most likely telling fibs to push Chishiya’s buttons.
Chishiya turned back to you with a hurt expression. You couldn’t look him in the eyes. You were now feeling ashamed for even being attracted to the deluded man in the first place.
Your actions spoke louder than words as he understood what you meant. He looked down and shook his head before lifting his feet and walking towards the broken door briskly.
“Wait, no. Chishiya,” you said, grabbing his arm to stop him from leaving. He stopped and looked you in the eye with his empty orbs.
“I-I… I don’t know what to say,” you admitted, lowering your head in shame and loosening your hold on his arm.
“No, it’s fine Y/N. You don’t have to say anything,” he said in his usual careless tone. “I get it. I just think you could’ve told me that you weren’t interested in a nicer way than this.”
He ripped his arm out of your grasp and made his way out of the room. You felt your heart rate pick up as you watched him disappear around the corner. You couldn’t let him leave like that.
As you were just about to chase him out, you looked back to Niragi, who had watched the whole ordeal that just happened between you and Chishiya.
“So, you want to meet me at my room at one?” he asked in a suggestive tone.
You cringed at his words. “Go to hell,” you spat before following Chishiya to try and reason with him.
Niragi smirked at your words. “Ah, there she is. There’s the flame I fell in love with,” he mumbled to himself. He leant down and grabbed his rifle off the ground and slung it over his shoulders. “Maybe next time, when we don’t have any interruptions.”
***************
“Chishiya!”
You jogged to keep up with his fast pace down the hall, making his way back to the pool to see Kuina again. He ignored your yelling, wanting to be far away from you at that moment.
“Chishiya can you please just listen to me!” you said desperately, grabbing his shoulder to turn him to you.
Chishiya suddenly whipped his head around to meet your saddened eyes. “For what Y/N?! Why are you following me?! Why don’t you go back to Niragi?! You seemed awfully comfortable with him when I found you!” he exclaimed. His yelling echoed down the hall, making it seem louder than it was.
You felt tears begin to make their way down your cheeks. You felt helpless in that moment.
You knew that Chishiya liked you more than a friend, but he had always remained such a gentleman to you. He never made you uncomfortable or overstepped your boundaries, so why did you kiss the man that had been stalking you? Who had been saying creepy comments towards you every day? For crying out loud he forced you into an empty room with him. Why did you kiss him when you already had such a lovely and attractive man right in front of you?
You couldn’t help yourself. You grabbed Chishiya by the collar of his hoodie with both hands and pulled him towards you, crashing your lips against his. He didn’t react at first, probably due to shock. But soon, he relaxed and placed his hand on the back of your head and another on your waist.
This felt right. Kissing Chishiya felt more loving and more compassionate than kissing Niragi. Why didn’t you kiss him first? It was honestly a stupid mistake.
You two stayed in the hallway for some time, moving your lips against one another’s passionately. Chishiya was the first to pull away.
He was angry at himself. He shouldn’t have enjoyed that after seeing you with Niragi. But at this point, he was so desperate for the smallest bit of love that he didn’t care.
“Why?” he asked, brushing a piece of hair out of your face gently. You looked into his eyes deeply and smiled sadly at the small specks of tears growing in his eye sockets.
“Because Chishiya, I didn’t realize what I had until I almost lost it,” you said, wiping your thumb underneath this eye to collect his tears before they escaped.
Chishiya kept a neutral face, not knowing how to respond. He was so happy that you liked him back, even if he had to go through a free trial of hell to find out.
He could feel more tears building up in his eyes, so he brought his lips back to yours to distract him from crying. He closed his eyes and let the waterfalls cascade down his face, some mixing with yours that remained on your cheeks.
You both stood in the hallway alone, no one around to interrupt or come between you. Chishiya cherished the moment while it lasted. If having you like this in his arms every day, pressed as close to you as possible both physically and emotionally, then he thought life would be worth living a little longer.
He could deal with a punch to the face from Niragi every now and then if he’s got you to look after him.
