(I recently got to 20 followers on this blog! :D I wanted to do a little something to celebrate that, so I grinded and wrote headcanons for all nine of the mercs. It, uh, took a while so I hope you enjoy!)

Isn’t a huge flower guy but the fact you went out of your way to get them for him makes him feel all warm inside

ABSOLUTELY LOVES THEM

Well, you can’t hear what they’re saying but the flappy hands and excited noises give you a decent idea

Will just spend hours holding them in their hands and looking at the flowers like they’re the most beautiful thing in the world

Draws sunflowers in all their drawings now

If they accidentally burned them they would get so sad and give you flowers back as a form of apology

Make flower crowns with them. Do it. 

☆Demoman - Bluebells☆

Like most of the mercs, he’s never gotten flowers before 

And he has no clue how to take care of them

“Thank ye, but, would ye consider showin’ me how to take care of them?”

☆Heavy - Violas☆

“Little merc has present for Heavy?” 

Surprised, but not so much as Sniper

Honestly the most chill about it out of all the mercs

He has sisters so he knows how to take care of flowers but he’s never been the one to receive them

Would press the flowers once the start to wilt and make bookmarks so he can keep them forever (sap)

And if he’s more protective of you during matches, who's to say the reason why?

☆Engineer - Bluebonnets☆

He sticks to the practical side of things, so when you give him a bouquet of flowers he’s utterly perplexed

He’s flattered of course, and thanks you greatly for the gift because he’s a Texas boy raised with manners

But he’s not used to pretty things and…doesn’t quite know what to do with them

He puts them in a vase with water but he finds himself stopping his work to look at them

They didn’t solve a problem, they didn’t hold a purpose yet people–including him now–seemed to love them

Eventually gives up trying to find a reason for it and just accepts it as they’re just pretty

Even though solving questions like “what is beauty” was never his forte, he’d somehow found an answer for it

And it was…well, you.

(He’d also 100% make you a flower out of scrap metal for you bc he’s a gentleman)

☆Medic - Cornflowers/Drosera Spatulata Sundew☆

There’s two flowers that he’d like

Cornflowers are one of his favorites, specifically the white ones (they remind him of Archimedes)

Not just because they are national flowers of Germany, but he also appreciates their medicinal properties

But if you somehow got your hands on a Drosera Spatulata Sundew he’d be pocketing you for months afterwards

Is absolutely fascinated with carnivorous plants and you get him carnivorous flowers???

The most romantic (or just super cool if platonic) thing in the world to him

Isn’t a botanist but he’ll be in the medbay all the time now just observing it and its reactions

He’s not sleeping for a while

He’d try to create a serum for whatever flowers you got him so they’d stay as beautiful as they are forever :)

☆Sniper - Wildflowers☆

No one has ever gotten him flowers before so when you show up at his camper van with hand picked flowers wrapped in twine he’s surprised, to say the least

Finds it interesting how he walked past those same flowers everyday and never cared

But when you gave them to him they felt…special.

Awkwardly mumbles a ‘thanks mate’ to you

Keeps them in an (UNUSED I REPEAT UNUSED) jar in his van

Smiles everytime he sees them

☆Spy - Roses☆

We all know this man is an old-fashioned lover boy so ofc he loves roses

But he’s never on the receiving end of them

So none are ever good enough for his high standards

“Eugh, where did you buy these, the gas station?”

Similar to Scout that if you say you could return them he’d absolutely refuse

Secretly thinks it’s really sweet 

Doesn’t act any differently towards you afterwards when he’s with you

But you find multiple bouquets of roses in your room and a note that says “if you ever consider buying me flowers again, buy roses from these boutiques instead of the trash you had before.”

TF2 Mercs x Romantic M!Reader

Scout

Has never had anyone pull out the stops for him. He's the youngest of 7, his life has been full of hand-me-downs and overlooking.

When you hand him a bouquet of roses he actually fucking cries.

Dinner, a movie while holding hands, cuddling under the stars? God, he feels like a princess in a disney movie and you're his prince charming

Soldier

He's touched, really, he is! But has a hard time expressing it. He gives you a big ol' kiss and thanks you with a smile, but is lowkey pretty awkward when you offer to dance with him.

He looooved the homecooked dinner you made for him- after all, restaurants aren't really his scene. Course after course if just amazing!

Afterwards, you convince him to slowdance/cuddledance with you while whispering sweet nothings into his ear. He blushed so hard you can feel the heat on his cheeks.

Pyro

OH MY GOD??? ALL THIS FOR ME??? THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!!!

Well, that's what you think they signed to you as they blubbered tearfully and hugged you. You decorated the recreation room with streamers of deep red and had a bowl of icecream to share while watching a movie!

Their favorite part is when you lit the streamers on fire, making a brief flaming heart.

Demoman

What's better than a roadtrip and sightseeing in a new place? You two snuck out and drove to Dallas for a long weekend out. It took you eons to convince the Administrator for a long weekend too, so it was extra heartfelt!

Big foods, big hats, and big inside jokes nobody else will understand, most of all- you take Demoman out to light fireworks in the desert. Big ones.

With all the clamoring to see the light show, Demoman is elated to kiss you in public with nobody noticing.

Engineer

Going to his favorite museum of engineering and listening to him talk is what Dell found most heartstopping. That dopey look of love as you listened intently had him in a chokehold.

Brushing the backs of your hands together feels more scandalous than holding your hand as you give him a teasing wink.

After, you cook his favorite meal? "Oh darlin', you're an angel."

Heavy

Doesn't know how to react at first, insisting he doesn't need to be spoiled. Then you pull out the handknitted mittens with bear paws on the inside and he's all the way on board to let you spoil him like a king.

You get a thank you kiss for everything you do, a promise to repay the favor later (;P) with every surprise you give him.

Oh boy does he, the more you love on Heavy, the more he loves on you.

Sniper

Survivalist camping with him over the weekend is how you win his heart. He sees you fishing at the crack of dawn and you just smile at him and hand him a pole. The comfortable silence has him blushing like a poppy.

Play wrestle this man. Play wrestle him and win. Pin this man to the ground with a playful yet exerting smile and he will never forget the moment until the day he does and then some. Then kiss him. Do it.

Spy

Ah, a nice restaurant where he doesn't have to worry about the bill, a gala where he doesn't have to assassinate anyone, and a handsome man he isn't obligated to sleep with for information- this is the perfect date!

He's quite the flirt as well, but as long as you can keep up with him, you'll win out in the end with your romance attack modifiers of the date on your side.

Dancing with him is a must, even if you're bad, it's still overwhelmingly charming to Spy.

Medic

YOU BOUGHT HIM NEW SYRINGES AFTER HIS OLD ONES SNAPPED???? AWWW YOU SHOULDN'T HAVE!!!

Much like Spy, Medic loves a fancy dinner and dancing, but he likes the thrill of a mission to help digest his food. That's why you two break into the blood donation truck and take some especially weird samples of blood that you find.

While the police chase you, you two share a kiss. Be gay, do crime!

Listen, I don’t know if you’re writing for König now— but I feel like the presence of two masked figures (König and Ghost) is just begging for some fics full of jealousy; Ghost doesn’t like someone flirting with his girl, and he especially doesn’t like someone with goofy ass drapes over their face trying to flirt with his girl either.

But— it’s just a thot. A Thursday thot.

I do not currently write for Konig! (Nor shall I start as of yet, bc I have wayyy too many unfinished projects and refuse to indulge in additional distractions) However, I can make time for a little Thursday Thots drabble for you, anon!

He's touching you again.

Ghost sees all, with his tar-dark stare, burning, scorching into your skin as Konig hovers beside you. The Austrian soldier's hand hovers over your shoulder, the touch hesitant, fleeting but there all the same.

It's a dangerous proximity, one that Ghost would normally tolerate from a lesser man. Usually his size, his dark, looming stature is enough to ward off any potential suitors towards you, chasing them away like an abraxas curse. They see his eyes, the way he clings to shadows and lures you there- keeping you safe.

Konig, however, seems to not see that silent rune, or has decided to foolishly ignore it. He hovers at your side, hip nearly bumping yours, one massive hand planted on his other side as he leans over the map, lit by the dusty Uzbekistan sun. He dwarfs you in comparison, and Ghost can't help the prickle of awareness that comes with the advantage the Austrian has in height, pure, rippling mass.

"AQ forces will be rendezvousing here for the pick-up." You declare, pointer finger stopping on part of the route below you. "There's not much cover for us aside from the poppy field nearby, we may need to..."

Granted, Ghost isn't paying much attention to you either. Not with the way he's so damn distracted by the hulking soldier beside you, the way he's not looking at the map at all. Konig's eyes linger on your face from under his hood, and at this angle Ghost can see the way they flicker over your scrunched brow, your twinkled, focused gaze.

It's almost adorable, the way you're so oblivious. You seem not to notice the men around you, not with the way Konig clings to your side like an affectionate, stray tomcat. Nor do you notice Ghost's eyes as he leans on a wall within the shadows of the rubbled building, gaze menacing like the sharp glint of a blade.

"What about here?" Konig asks, and his other hand follows yours, stopping to point out a ridge that is perfectly unsuitable for the purposes of this extraction. His voice slurs low over the vowels with his accent, and you seem to be so distracted by his query you fail to notice the way his hand secures on your shoulder as if to maintain his balance at your side.

No, instead you shake your head at his question, humming a low, displeased note in your throat, ignorant to the Austrian's hand across your opposite shoulder, placed firmly against your form.

"No, we could make it happen if we had an additional sniper, but considering it's just the three of us-" You pause, sucking your lower lip between your teeth, fingers tapping the aged wooden table you're braced on. "Then again, I could do it, set up a spot and provide suppressing fire while you two-"

"We aren't leaving you behind, Maus." Konig rumbles, and his voice is deeper now, spoken in a tone just for you.

You blink, turn then, and seem to at last notice just how close he is, staring up into his gentled eyes hidden underneath the mask.

That's it.

"A word, sergeant." Ghost growls, and your eyes dart to him, wide and caught off-guard. There's a flicker of awareness there, one summoned by the recognition of his tone- dark, low like thunder. A warning.

"Konig." You say slowly, eyes not leaving Ghost, as if tracing a wolf in the woods. "A moment, please?"

"Of course, Frauliene."

At last, he steps away from you, practically having to peel himself away from your side. When he strides towards the entrance, broken glass shatters under his massive feet. He pauses there, casting a lingering glance to you, then to Ghost- only to see the poisoned, dripping stare levied at him.

Strangely, he holds it for a moment, refusing to look away. Yet just as ire simmers higher in Simon's blood he turns, vanishes beyond the boundary of the doorway.

It's only then that you turn to Ghost.

"Care to explain what that was ab-oof!"

It takes Ghost two short strides to close the distance between you, reaching out a single, black gloved hand to drag you forward, into his front. It's a gesture he normally wouldn't indulge in, this blatantly outward display of his affections. Yet the prickle of something that feels shamefully like envy itches under his skin, chafes at his bones until there's a rawness there, an itch to have you closer.

"Simo-" You try, face muffled into his vest.

"He can't have you." Ghost murmurs darkly, a thumb digging into the soft part of your skull at your nape. You whine on instinct, the sensation grounding, possessive in a way that leaves you reeling. For a moment your hands flutter at your sides before lifting, gripping at his sleeves rolled at his elbows. Ghost only drags you closer, tilting his head downward into your hair, where he grows a promising affirmation, his words the boundary of that abraxas that keeps you to him.

"You are mine."

Wally smiled softly while twirling in his hands a apple whiskey, Howdy was cleaning the counter and looking down, minding his business. Both man were thinking, albeit different persons, on a guy; Wally was thinking of M/n’s enchanting eyes while Howdy was thinking on the kind yet shy smile that Gepeto gifted him. Our boys be simping 

“So, Gepeto and you?,” asked Wally smirking before taking a sip at his apple whiskey. Wally almost laughed at how it seemed that Howdy short circuited at his simple question, Howdy only shared his head in a no while one of his hands covered his blue dusted cheeks. Wally’s attention span on Howdy lasted a couple of minutes but soon his smiled grew when he heard his phone ring, it was exactly nine o’clock and that meant M/n’s gang, Hidden Pictures, was ready to start their attack on San Stars. 

“Hola hermoso, are you ready to conquer a gang?,” asked M/n’s insanely sweet voice making Wally blush softly. M/n smiled on the other side of the hand listening the soft crack Wally had on his voice when he answered with a simple yes.

“Mhmm, que lindura… We are going to meet at, como se llama esa calle pelotudo?, Boulevard Broken across the street of Dreams… si la conoces?,” said M/n and Wally blushed at his use of Spanish.

“Yes, I know where that is… We’ll be there in a few,” said Wally hearing how M/n chuckled before saying a “See you here preciosura” to hang up. Wally sighted dreamily and looked at Howdy who started telling everyone to grab their favorites weapons since they are going out.

Everyone grabbed their weapons; Wally took his mere presence, Howdy took his ice pick, Barnaby took his biggest guns, Julie took her tranquilizer sniper gun, Sally took a rocket launcher against everyone’s demise, Eddie took a simple revolver to be able to protect Frank because Poppy was simply going as medical stand by and Frank was going to help her through any panic attacks.

When they arrived at the meetup Wally smiled at seeing M/n with a long black trench coat were in the back had a picture with roses crossed over with red in the back and on the sleeves, he had some beautiful red high heels just go with it and a beautiful apple red silk shirt that was accompanied with a white corset.

As you probably already know, the current onslaught upon Gaza has killed at least 40,000 people, but without the infrastructure to keep track of deaths, and with so many 1000s buried under rubble, it is likely far more. Children make up nearly half of the Gazan population and are targeted by snipers almost as much as aid workers and medical staff. Rich western nations like the USA and the UK have suspended or ended aid to Gaza and also the West Bank. The ground attack on the Rafah refugee camps has brought a new level of horror. The situation is beyond bleak.

Some olive trees stood for over five thousand years, being cared for by generations of the same family. The destruction of these olive groves has been a tool of the occupation since 1947.

Shiny spiders powers/ability explained

Her ability allows her to create any piece of technology or any technological weapons like guns and explosives, or even technologically modified ancient weapons

But she needs to know everything and I mean everything about the things she's making, for example a sniper rifle she needs to know how it works what it's made of what makes it work and how it is assembled

Currently what she's able to make with her powers is limited currently to sniper rifles, handguns, and missiles(she doesn't have a large variety of weapons she can create ) She is also able to make copys of a specially made dagger that she received, this dagger pops out of its handle and has multiple other features This classifying it as a technologically advanced basic weapon

Other things she can make that are not weapons our multiple touchscreen computers that have seemingly endless storage, holographic displays similar to the ones Poppy uses, and a tracking device,

She is also able to make a shield Made of bulletproof glass ( for some reason bulletproof glass is among the things she can make despite not technically being technological but many would argue that it is technically a technological advancement so it counts)
