I think the best part of finishing Burrow's End is the moment about six or so hours later, where you're chilling in the shower or in the middle of dinner, and you suddenly realize that the tape—you know, that tape—wasn't all five of the Firsts dog-piling and murdering Dr. Winnebago, but literally just Phoebe. And just that one stoat was enough to cause the carnage the kids found in the store room and turn the doctor into a Meat Dave when she didn't even know how to speak human yet.

Now this next one is definitely a scene that's been on my wips for ages but I figured the screenshots were good too. It's a discussion between Sam and Rhodey about what happened to Rhodey during Civil War and we ALL have read fic addressing it, and while I hated this was in a deleted scene, the fact it's actually a canon thing is kind of nice.

Of the two versions we're given of Karlach's back story I strongly prefer the one we get in act one

(In act one she says that working for gortash allowed her to move her parents to a nicer neighborhood while in act 3 she says they were dead before she ever met him)

I just think there's a much more interesting and tragic story contained in the first version

It asks a lot more questions and those questions give karlach more depth - did she see? Did she know? Did she choose not to see anything? What was she willing to do, what was she required to do, in the name of keeping her aging parents safe?

It also could have resulted in some incredible moments when she returned to Baldur’s Gate after all that time away - reunion scenes with her parents in much reduced circumstances or finding out that one or both had died. Maybe they'd blame her, assuming she ran off and was lying. Maybe they'd welcome her home with open arms. Maybe they'd be doing just fine! Or worse, if gortash had stepped in to look after them, leaving them praising the generosity of the very man that sold her! It could work really well in bg3's examination of various types of abuse (And would play so well with Gortash's issues with his own parents). All of those possibilities (and more) could have lead to some FASCINATING character moments for karlach and I'm so sad we didn't get them.

There's just so much more potential in that storyline and I really wish larian had stuck with it!

There's one fanfic that thinking about just makes me angry.

The whole premise of the fanfic is that Ruby saw Pyrrha die, and her silver eyes sent her back in time before initiation. Because she just watched Pyrrha die, Ruby tries her best to protect her and ends up becoming Pyrrha's partner instead.

Fast forward and Ruby, Pyrrha, Blake, and Yang are on a team together and feelings between the girls start to develop.

But of course they all like each other (minus the sisters) so they all go on dates with each other. It's all very cute and gay.

I'm expecting it to end in polyamory because it's just so obvious!

But no!

It ends up with them being like "oh we have to choose who to date because there's no possible way we can date more than one person :("

I got so so mad at it because the answer was so obvious, and I felt robbed. What do you mean they all dated each other and wanted to date each other and it didn't become a polycule? What kind of non poly yuri hell is this?

sensory overload doesn't just have to be:

mind fog // static // mind being pulled in different directions

body sweating // heating up

panic attack adjacent, if not directly a panic attack ( fast breathing, tears, may need weight or contact )

possible aversion or need for touch

exhaustion

it can also be:

immense sweating ( like, everywhere )

kaleidoscope vision // inverse vision ( altered colors and shapes )

stomach cramping ( may feel like you'll have diarrhea )

intense nausea ( may lead to vomiting )

lack of feeling in limbs // can't walk

source - yours truly had the latter on their brother's birthday a few days ago and felt incredibly guilty about it for the rest of the day ( he and my ma told me multiple times that it's okay and my safety is more important ) ( but my autism // anxiety // OCD did not wanna let go of the guilt ) ( i'm okay now, though, and i'm gonna get my lil bro a present once i can )

for those who wanna know, and as a warning to proceed with caution, we went to Meow Wolf. i survived for maybe 3 minutes, not including the bathroom.

it's a really pretty, psychedelic place, but my ma told me my sensory overload was likely from the unknown of the place ( as Meow Wolf's whole thing is kinda having different 'portals' and levels // stages ). so, even though i thought it was cool and wasn't worried, my body processed it very differently.

your mind and body don't always connect ^^;

Just like that weird "call me by name call me immaculate one plz" thing that makes Nopes' Sothis exchange with Flayn completely nonsensical, the "Rhea became berserk because she despaired and felt like Sothis would never return" felt like a quick fix-it made with adhesive tape and the contents of a gummy bear.

Like, this doesn't explain why Rhea doesn't become red in VW.

And you won't make me believe that she wasn't despairing the hell out of it after witnessing Zanado and being its lone survivor, nor after seeing whatever remained of Sothis after Nemesis deboned her.

We can make a point about her being more "angry" than desperate, same as in CF when Seteth'n'Flayn kick the bucket - even if her mental state's pretty low and precarious at this point - but then, VW still stands, as in, Rhea realises after eating missiles and "zumba'ing for 5 years in Enbarr's finest 5 stars resort" that her Mother never gave a flying fuck about the remaining Nabateans, or her role as the Goddess, and yet, she doesn't become red.

(Hell, you can even make a point that it's Billy who wants to save her, and went out of their way to "try to help" her during GM's assault, not Worst Mom!)

Seteth mentions in SS' finale that he already saw her red (but not in her second "red with vines" form!) and she managed to return to normal, so it's just...

As Seiros the Warrior, she despaired - but not too much - a bit and turned Red, but Cichol and the other Saints where here to make her snap out of it? But somehow, they cannot in SS and Seteth straight out says Billy has to kill her, even if, when he says this, she hasn't turned in her second form yet, aka, she's as red as she was during her Seiros the Warrior days?

Frankly IDK, and given how this route was the one that apparently was written first and served as a basis for the rest of the game, well, idk what to tell you anon.

It is frustrating, but as in "welp Tellius' writers wrote something and its contrary in the same game!" but more as in "they had to cook in the microwave a watsonian reason to explain why this final boss exists", and FEH just added 30 seconds.

Sure it's enough to make your gummy bear melt, but honestly, who's going to be satisfied with that?

I generally really enjoy YouTube reactors, but the phenomenon of reactors getting angry with Mae for interrupting Sol when he was telling her about how she and Osha weren’t really twins or even sisters and they were artificially created etc etc, that always baffled me like. I get that the audience was curious about what he was going to say, mysteries and all, but why on earth should Mae be? Why would she want to hang around listening to this? It makes total sense that she wouldn’t willingly stay tied to a table listening to the guy who killed her mom and lied to her sister about it tell her that her sister isn’t her real sister a moment longer than she needs to
