Last doodle of the night: there's quite a lot of "[villain] kidnaps Gohan" fanfics out there, and while a lot of them are Raditz ones (for obvious reasons), I realize I've never drawn a Turles one 🤔

I'm glad nobody's questioned why Sunset's personality is so different in the AU, but I'll explained anyways. AU Sunset basically has Tempest Shadow's personality. I decided not to adapt Tempest because too many redeemed villains, she doesn't play an important role in the overall story, and her broken horn is so cool and unique to her as a unicorn that any adaptation wouldn't do it justice. So I fused the two together. Sunset's backstory and hotheadedness with Tempest's tired, jaded, anti-social disposition and fighting skills.

Anyways, I hope it's not too jarring of a change. The more I develop Sunset, the more you'll probably notice how OOC she seems. I'll probably end up adopting Sunset into an OC once I'm done with the AU, since she's basically a completely different character.

the idea came to me in a migraine induced dream but now im obsessed with the concept of a mu qingfang who knew the abuse bunhe was going through at the hands of og!shen qingqiu/shen jiu and did his best to treat the kid whenever he could (and bring his concerns to zhangmen shixiong, which were obviously very much ignored) and his constant worry over the situation means that when the qi deviation happens he is suspicious of shen qingqiu’s changes for all different reasons and very much protective of luo binghe -who is a sweet child and an earnest disciple who seems to always find the most incredible medicinal herbs to bring to his mu shishu as thanks for the care bestowed upon him- which means that when the whole shen qingqiu dying thing happens instead of bad mouthing luo binghe or fighting him at every chance he does his best to come over and keep an eye on things to try and help him and make sure luo binghe won’t kill himself trying to bring shen qingqiu back because he remembers that earnest kid and he’s witnessed luo binghe’s devotion to this shen qingqiu first hand and knows there is no way that the kid who cried when ning yingying found a bird with a broken wing and begged mu qingfang to fix it and the kid that would always borrow medical texts and try to find new herb combinations as if it was a game between him and qian cao disciples is actually doing anything nefarious to shen qingqiu’s corpse.

Tuff is the kind of person to get really attached to random crap that he finds, stuff like rocks and buttons that he later takes to his room to hoard with the rest of his random assortment of odds and ends

He knows a bunch of random stuff for the sake of knowing weird things,,, kinda like how he was training with the town officiator??? That's so random (there's also a throwaway line about Berk losing many educators to Tuff I think which implies that he actually studies under people)

He's very good at forging other people's handwriting. He uses it to screw with people and to get into places he really shouldn't be in

Also does very good impressions of his friends

Viggo -

Used to have a pet yak or something that his family killed and ate and he's been sad and edgy ever since

The yak's name was Fluffy bc it was kinda fluffy and he's not a creative person

He was the definition of annoying little brother

Kinda like Tuffnut learning weird shit for the sake of knowing weird shit he has a very extensive vocabulary just because he can and also it makes talking to people more fun

Viggo & Tuff -

Bc of all of my hcs about them accumulating weird facts/knowledge and stuff they have extensive existential conversations explaining the most obscure things to each other, by the end of them they are the only ones who understand what each other are talking about

Viggo is very intrigued by the twins' sibling relationship because it is nothing like his relationship with Ryker (it's much closer and more trusting, too, so he's a little jealous)

Tuff assures him that he is NOT missing out and that he wishes he had anybody other than Ruffnut

Viggo is also just fascinated by Tuffnut, he's not used to his general levels of absurdity, and his recklessness as well as his enjoyment of dangerous and painful situations, he just thinks he's neat

Viggo treats Chicken very seriously, which Tuffnut appreciates (so does Chicken)

Ruffnut relaxes around Viggo when she realizes that Tuffnut allowed him to take care of Chicken for a day while he was very busy

hi! me and au is one of my biggest inspirations, especially Selkirk (selkirk my love) so i had a question!

i know when i write i have little character tidbits that never make it in the scripts but are cannon to me! do you have any of those for the me and au characters that your comfortable sharing?

The funny thing about still regularly thinking about a story you wrote in 2018/19 is how much my perception of the characters is totally different in some ways than it was back then. Which is a long way of saying I now think Stuart is going to get a panicked call from Kate in like, 1 - 2 years max about how they knew for sure for sure that they wanted to start using other pronouns outside of work.

In a completely different direction I would believe that Kate is actually a very good barista and Stuart is there because some people have to be charming on the registers.

Whitney at some point in high school posted a new chapter of a fic with one of those author's notes that's like "sorry this is one day late, had my wisdom teeth out yesterday!" She'd of course updated two days ago.

Ella really loved the Niagara Falls Marineland as a kid (#swimcows) and now has a secret animal rights side of her personality as an adult.

It's very important to me that the posters for TV Selkirk are actually pretty glam -- lots of neon lights and poreless photoshop and everyone in leather, but the actual TV show is very 'it's amazing what you can do with $20 of latex and body paint' and everyone is actually dressed like park rangers.

i made this a few months ago for a discord and i figured i might as well share it here too

I have once again written a ridiculously long post, this time about an au I have in which religion is extremely present in Norta and how it effects Cal and Maven, two princes raised on the idea that by being Calore's they are inherently closest to the Gods. I'm worried I sound particularly crazy in this one lol. I just think Maven and Cal would go through opposite arcs with a religion in mind. Cal realizes how insane his views were. How it's insane to justify feeling inherently superior and in turn justifying horrific crimes and oppression of people with a religion. Maven would instead slowly give into the religion. He slowly commits more and more heinous crimes and he justifies it all with his religion. Maven feels as if he's ascending into Godhood and it drives him mad, Cal realizes that's where he was headed and rejects it. Cal feels intense shame leaving his brother to suffer in it, but he feels unable, partially due to their circumstances as they are in a war against one another, to dissuade Maven from his delusions of Godhood. Not only that, but he feels that by "pulling" (for a lack of better words) Maven out of his delusions he will only hurt him as his crimes, no matter the reason they were committed, can and will lead to his death. He might as well die feeling fulfilled in his own way then feeling abandoned and rejected once again.
