Day 24 of TMayNT: Favorite turtle + villain dynamic

I chose Hypno-potamus from Rise of the TMNT for this prompt :]

I love his character development and how he seems to grow a soft spot for the turtles.

These sketches are redrawn from screenshots except for the doodles of rabbits, doves etc :]

(Note: I chose to draw Hypno in a top hat rather than a turban because one of the writers who worked on the show said that Hypno was not wearing the turban for religious reasons. It was part of his costume. Also, Hypno’s canon design, especially as a human, has similarities to harmful stereotypes of Romani people—so a few of Hypno’s fans on here including me like to depict Hypno with a top hat instead.)

It’s easy to get to the top, I’ve been told from a guy on TikTok. You decide, you can’t keep doing unpaid interships all your life. One day you’ll have to leave this house. Beautiful girl, grow some ambition, with that face I can put you on my television. To survive in these frail financial conditions you can always try an open competition. I know to give up on your dreams sends shiver down your spine, but you could give your mama a grandchild, I promise you will feel just fine. But hurry up, you are going to waste your life, grown woman of twenty-five.

Do Hypno and Warren have any favorite games in your head canon?

I’d like to think that Warren loves Scrabble - he has an expanded vocabulary from his work as a journalist and reporter plus he’s amazing at coming up with new insults for people. He’s gonna destroy anyone in word games and he’s gonna be thrilled about it :] he wants to believe he’s good at Monopoly too but always ends up flipping the board when things don’t go his way

As for Hypno, I know strategy games aren’t his strong suit and it would be a cop-out to say he’s enjoys card games - hmm. I think he’d enjoy games with a hands-aspect like Jenga - he can stack the pieces and pull them so the tower remains standing even if it look precarious. Warren has no idea how Hypno does it but he’s always impressed - but becomes less impressed when the tower of wood blocks comes crashing down on him

Bennett is in charge of Resource Allocation at The Last Bast, helping collect resources for the warren.

Go check out my friend’s work! No Crime, Only Brooches is a Rise of the Tmnt au where Ron (Hypno) and Warren find cloaking brooches and don’t end up becoming villains. They have to balance being mutants with their regular lives and also become uncle figures to the turtles :]
