Hello, I hope you're doing great!

As for my progress, here's a quick overview of my activity over the past month and my plans for the current one.

[Announcement] Patreon billing will be paused starting May 25 for one month to finish the update.

The work on the update is well underway, and since I've decided to add more content that was discussed in this post [public post on Patreon], I'll need one more month to finish it.

That said, the early release of Chapter 3 Pt. 2 is scheduled for the end of June.

At the end of May, I'll share more sneak peeks [for Morgan's, R's, and I's scenes], and reach out to the readers who have helped me with grammatical mistakes in the past to ask if they'd be interested in beta reading.

I hope this will help ensure the update contains fewer grammatical mistakes before it's released on Patreon and then publicly.

What was done last month?

▹ Chapter 3 Pt. 2: finished working on Morgan's and R's scene + made some improvements.

Aside from finishing the ROs' scenes, the list of improvements includes:

Making the small sex scene with secondary rivals available after some of the ROs' scenes.

Previously, the small sex scene with secondary rivals was only available as a separate scene that had to be selected instead of the scene with one of the ROs. While working on the update, I realized that was a very poor decision and coded it differently, making it available as a choice for the reader at the end of the scene with some of the ROs.

Adding the opportunity to unlock certain jealousy moments using alignment [approval] points.

While I was reviewing one of the completed scenes, I saw an opportunity to code a specific narrative variation involving jealousy using alignment [approval] points. This made me reconsider all planned jealousy moments, and I've decided that starting from Chapter 3 Pt. 2, readers will be able to trigger some jealousy variations if they have enough romance or alignment points. The alignment requirement will always be higher than the romance one [+1 or +2 compared to romance points]. I hope this change will be appreciated by the readers who don't want to flirt with other ROs but still want to experience at least some jealousy moments, even though it will be very occasionally.

What will I be working on in April?

The main conclusion from it was that she's (@fangdokja-anon) homophobic, though more people pointed out she's made questionable statements in the past, too. It should've stopped there, but then she made a post basically explaining that she's been gathering an audience so she can switch to different platforms (her website and AO3), where she can finally write without censorship. It was an extremely cringe story about her ‘shackles’ coming off, listing a bunch of offensive topics from the Trigger Warning Database and saying that nothing is sacred and she won't hold back. (Yes, it included the part about children and infants not being safe from it) Same blogs called her out again and she proceeded to block everyone who interacted with those posts. I guess a lot of people reported her blog since it's now hidden and tagged as ‘mature’, for which she had a meltdown.

Anyway, friend (@fangdokja-anon) is against queer people but you (@yanderedrabbles) argue she's actually kind because you haven't been targeted? Suspicious, but I let it sit.

Friend (@fangdokja-anon) publishes entire paragraphs about wanting to write downright atrocious content and you (@yanderedrabbles) comment how excited you are for it? Poppy Worldwide/Save Everyone AU masterpost

Hi, this is the second masterpost I make for the AU. You can find the first one here, which does not include the characters introduced for Chapter 4 of the game. This masterpost is for the "updated" version of the au, which includes everyone up to chapter 4.

The AU's premise: A rewrite of the canon game, but with a twist: Instead of being responsible for the toy's deaths, the Angel/the Player rescues every single one of them instead, with no exceptions. This includes characters like Mommy Long Legs, Catnap and Doey. After confronting the Prototype and sparing his life, Angel leaves the factory with everyone, calls the authorities, and now the toys must adapt to the strange world outside the factory while healing from their traumas.

The Smiling and Nightmare Critters are all alive as well. Safe Heaven's toys are also all alive. Neither the Prototype nor Harley Sawyer die by the end of the game's events, but the doctor is paying for his crimes while the Prototype is helping Angel as much as he can.

I tried my best to follow as much canon as possible, but I opted to alter some tidbits about the timeline in order for things to not be as confusing, and added a LOT more to the characters we know of. Since the game doesn't give us much personality to them, I decided to use my own interpretation of them. Everything I altered was in an attempt to better fit the themes of both the AU and the canon game.

The Prototype in this AU is not an one-dimensional villain; he is a deeply traumatized individual who did LOTS of bad stuff pre and post-Hour of Joy in an attempt to protect all the toys. He failed being a good guardian and parent to the toys and he is paying the consequences of allowing Catnap to make a cult, isolating Poppy, and having the brilliant (sarcasm) idea of making the Hour of Joy.

Your phone wakes you. The room tilts as you open your eyes. A dull hammering thrums in your temples. The morning light makes your brain rough as sand paper. 

Dregs of vodka stick to your dry tongue. The hangover weighs you down like an anchor. Just the thought of moving hurts. 

You reach blindly for your jittering phone. Bubbly music tinkles from the speaker. Shit. It's Barrett. What did he forget this time? 

You answer and put your clammy palm to your forehead. You squint at the ceiling then your eyes slowly round. Where the fuck are you?  

"Hey, babe. You at Wendy's?" Your husband asks. 

You gulp and peel your tongue off the roof of your mouth. This isn't Wendy's house. 

"Yep," you croak. Your eyes ping side to side. 

"Look, I'm sorry about last night. Things got heated and I know I was an ass--" 

You cough as you sit up in the strange bed. "Yeah, you were." 

"So why don't you come home and we can talk it out." 

You peer around the room and your lips curve in a frown. Where the hell would you go besides home your loyal best friend's? You scratch you scalp and turn your legs over the edge of the bed, "let me get myself together." 

"Babe. Please. I'm sorry." 

"When I get home." You hang up.  

It was a hell of fight. The minute he started yelling, you bailed. He knows better. You're not doing a ten hour day and coming home his nagging. So you left out your coffee mug. Big deal. You didn't say anything about the garbage bag he left out to be torn apart by raccoons. 

Whatever. Fighting over dishes. Not of it matters right now. 

Your clothes are on the floor. Someone's floor. Who it is is far from the point. You stand and stagger. You catch yourself on the nightstand. Your hand moves instinctively between your legs. 

You're naked and tender. Did you have sex? 

Think! You ran out with your purse. You went to Wendy's. She was up for a night out. A night to forget and body did you. First drink, second, third, then it gets blurry.  

Fuck! You didn't. You wouldn't. You're pissed at your husband but you wouldn't cheat on him. You're not that type of person. Right? 

You don't have time for that. You have to get out of here.  

You dress as you search the room. It's tidy. Half the bed is mad and the other half messed from your drunken slumber. 

You shake out your hands trying to shoo away the flurry of guilt and denial. Just get out. You'll think better with some coffee in your system.  

You push down the door handle slowly. You listen to the silence of the hall. You tiptoe out warily, checking left and right as you advance. It's a nice place. A condo. Much nicer than your cramped one bedroom. 

Not important! 

You come out into the spacious front room. It's as empry as the rest of the place. The kitchen too. The bathroom. No one. 

Your purse is by the door. Your shoes too. You grab both and let yourself out. You'd rather not face your mistake. 

No, you didn't do anything. You wouldn't. 

You hurry down the hallway to the elevators. You don't look back, just keep going. You don't think, just go. 

It isn't until you're outside the familiar cafe marquee that your let your mind settle. You enter and join the queue. Your order a black coffee and drink it at a stool by the window.  

You lean your elbows on the high table that stands inside the pane. You take a slow, savouring swig of coffee and let it trickle down your throat. You shield your face from the New York morning and put your hands over your ears. 

You can't remember anything but Wendy. Your anger had you ordering round after round, trying to drown out the bile. The thought makes your stomach lurch and you gulp thickly. 

You shake your head and groan. Your phone chirps. It's probably Barrett. Several messages from him and missed calls. All through the night. It's bad enough you betrayed him, you had him up worrying. 

No, you didn't! 

It can't have happened if you don't remember it. A generous stranger took you home so you didn't wake up on the curb. That's it. 

That's the story. Nothing happened. And you'll let Barret believe you were with Wendy. It won't make a difference. 

Your mind is set. Nothing happened. 

Nothing. Happened. 

Because you don't remember. Because you were too drunk to do that. Because you're married and it can't happen. 

You're going to finish your coffee and go home. Everything will be just like it was before... after you tell Barrett where to put that coffee mug if it's such a big deal.

"The Lawless" and its Darker Implications

This is a dark and heavy post, so most of it will be hidden beneath the read-more link. I'll also note that what I say is not canon, so you're under no obligation to hold to this interpretation I'm presenting.

This subject came up on Twitter because of the attempted sexual assault scene in Andor 2.03. A certain well-known fanboy with 3 million YouTube followers put out a post saying that "SA has no place in Star Wars."

While there are legitimate reasons to want such triggering content in Star Wars, I was annoyed by this person's ignorance and failure to recognize that SA and its effects have been in Star Wars for a very long time. I made a post detailing the many instances in which sexual assault has been present in Star Wars. In response to the original statement, "SA has no place in Star Wars," I captioned my post thread, "Maybe it was just easier for you to ignore before."

I included examples you'd expect, like Leia and Oola in RotJ, Arla Fett, Twi'lek women in general who are often trafficked as sex slaves...

... but another example I included (knowing I'd get some confusion and pushback) is Satine in "The Lawless."

If you're still here, you consent to listening to my detailed reasoning for why I hold this interpretation. Got it? Okay, good.

At the start of the episode, Satine has been in prison for quite some time (multiple weeks, according to the Darth Maul: Shadow Conspiracy novelization). Her outfit is slightly different from what it looked like in the episode before: she's lost her long skirt, her collar's double ruff, her belt, her mantle necklace, and her diadem.

My guess is that during her time in prison, Death Watch stole those items off of her, but the point is, a month into her captivity, she still looks put together. Her remaining clothes look fine, and she keeps her hair in a neat bun.

Bo-Katan and Korkie break her out of prison, they race out of the city, Satine gets a message off to Obi-Wan, and then she's recaptured. By the time Obi-Wan gets to her (hours or days later, who can tell?), she looks considerably worse for wear. And the changes are concerning.

Her hair is not just down but disheveled.

Her tunic and trousers are ripped in numerous places.

Most disturbingly, when a lone male Mandalorian commando enters her cell without notice or permission, Satine greets him by saying, "Here to do more of your master's bidding?" There's a lot to unpack about what exactly Maul's "bidding" is, but Satine's words clearly imply that she has already endured a man coming to her cell at least once before, and it seems like if Maul had previously been restraining Death Watch from treating Satine poorly, he removed that protection after her escape attempt.

There's a reason the episode is called "The Lawless."

As I said before, I'm not saying that Satine being sexually assaulted is canon ... though her being at least physically assaulted by Death Watch after she's recaptured essentially is.

But when those puzzle pieces are assembled, I do think that the implication is darker, especially when you consider the episode "A Friend in Need," in which Death Watch is explicitly shown engaging in ongoing kidnapping, slavery, and sexual objectification of the local Ming Po women with the implication of SA for the purposes of terror, intimidation, and their own comfort ...

... and the fact that Death Watch has a very particular vendetta against Satine, the heretic pacifist who has left them feeling marginalized in what was previously a warrior society.

It's dark, I know. But I think it's the only end that really makes sense.

There's a reason why Satine clings so desperately to Obi-Wan when he finally comes to rescue her: she's grateful he's there to take her away, and she's grateful that he's not who she originally thought he was.

tag and post content filtering - help avoid seeing things. you decide what words and tags are filtered out. I have one tag filtered just so I don't get jump scared but can unveil the post to see it. it can help to filter multiple versions: some tags have "cw" (content warning) or "tw" (trigger warning). ex: cw spiders. in content filtering, you can filter names, urls, words, phrases, etc.

followed tags: you can follow tags you'd like to see more of. ex: #baby elephant. You can stop following a tag whenever it's a shit show (ex: a fandom tag amid fandom drama).

blog subs tab: if you want to only scroll certain blogs for a while, there's a tab for that. first, turn on notifications for whose posts you DO want to see (go to their profile, click the person icon, and "get notifications"). The "blog subs" tab is a feed of these blogs.

the functionality isn't perfect, but it helps. beyond this, you can always block users and exit out of posts.
