Also, I've seen all of the "Eddie sees Buck dancing with/kissing Tommy and looks sad" headcanons and I'm definitely down, but I'm gonna raise you one. What if Buck sees Eddie introducing Marisol to Isabel and we see his face cloud over for a few seconds? Because since when have they been dating long enough for Marisol to meet Abuela?
(Bonus points if he brings it up with Chim randomly in 7x07 like "he just asked her to move out and now he's introducing her to his grandmother? You don't think that's too soon? Because I think it's too soon. He barely knows this girl. You know, Christopher never talks about her when I see him. If she was ready to meet Abuela, Christopher would definitely - Chim? Chim, where are you going? CHIM!")

Your Muse's greeting methods; insp.
Hostile: Sarcasm dialed-up to 11, and it's not the cute kind either. She's all smirks and sneers, with a cold predatory gaze that will follow the object of her ire's every move. River will usually pick at the person, with mocking greetings: "Oh, look what the cat dragged-in! Too bad it couldn't keep dragging you on, I hear the dumpster behind Pauli's is vacant." She'll continue to refer to someone as 'dear' and 'darling', though with much less frequency. However, depending on how much she doesn't like the other person, they're words filled with the most scathing verbal-venom she can muster.
Neutral: River is usually a pretty outwardly-friendly individual, even to someone she barely knows... She doesn't trust them, of course, but prefers to give strangers a chance instead of just writing them off. She smiles, says hello, will shake hands and may even give a hug; however, it will almost always be her initiating any physical contact. Those who try before her will usually either be side-stepped, or have their attention diverted. People often earn a nickname at this stage that she'll use to greet them with, but depending how the interaction goes, it may not always be the 'nicest' one.
Friendly: There isn't too much difference between 'neutral' River and 'friendly' River, but what differences there are, are very noticeable. One might get themselves a sparkly new nickname, if their current one wasn't the nicest, or there will be a very notable tonal change in which she refers to them with it. She's warmer and more relaxed, more trusting and excitable, because she's always interested in what her friends have to say; and is rarely bored by it too. Hugs, shoulder or full-on, are the bread-and-butter greeting now, and she might even invite them over to her more 'domestic' hideouts. On occasion, she might let herself into her friends' homes when being pursued by cops/heroes/etc and greet them with a comment on how much or how little food they have in the fridge.
Romanced: Trust absolute. She uses 'darling' more than 'dear', and knows how to make 'hello darling' sound like honey-dripped gold to her partner's ears; and she'll look at them like they're the most beautiful person in the world while she says it too, because to her they are. Touch, touch, endless touches filled with her want and love. A hand on the shoulder to announce her presence, sliding into a hug from behind. A face buried between shoulder blades or the neck. Deep kisses. She'll touch their face, and will allow them to touch hers in turn, often seeking this attention outright.

Asking this as a second gen Russian American Jewish person, how did you get your family to rethink their Zionism? I'm fighting for my life
Didn't have to lift a finger. My old man was a refusenik, but chose not to move us to a country that was supposedly a haven for Jews but still had compulsory military service—he was disgusted with the Communist regime chiefly because of the nationalism, and that's at the core of conscription, even in times of peace. I think he gave up whatever sentimental attachment he still had to ~Hatikvah back when the extremists killed Rabin in '95.

Is there a phrase that Athy has said that you like a lot? Or any other character? Is there a phrase that Athy has said that you like a lot? Or any other character? I personally think one of Athy's best lines was when he bowed to Claude on his birthday, it was really epic
That's a good choice! I'll keep this post about Athy, because I have too many favorite lines of hers. But overall, Lucas is probably the one who says the quotes I love the most. My favorites from the novel:
«Lucas, you brat... I'll kill you. Next time we meet, I'll really kill you!»
« I'm not yours, you are mine! »
« If this were a kid's story, everyone could have had their happy endings. No one would have been unfortunate or have any faults. In their perfect forms, everyone could have had their beautiful endings. »
Funny, romantic and thoughtful.
First one is funnier without context. Second one, everyone knows it, it's iconic, no explanations needed. Last one is from the final chapters. I think that line perfectly reflects the novel's philosophy, and it's a nice contrast with the manhwa's different take on the story. Neither is better than the other in my opinion, but rather, that contrast is what makes each other much more fascinating.
And as for the manhwa...
First, this classic (from both the novel and the manhwa). When you think about WMMAP, you think of this scene. Moving and heart-wrenching at the same time.
My absolute favorite quote... This felt like the one chapter where Athy finally exposed her heart to the reader. In volume 7's author notes, Spoon wrote about how she wanted Athy to learn that the love others gave her is not something to be gained or lost, and that she hoped Athy could in that way learn to love herself. That's it, that's Athy's whole character arc in a nutshell. Yeah I'm going to cry.
A simpler line but also a direct thematic continuation to the one shown above. The sequence leading to this is so impactful (I love the alliteration of people asking Athy her name. It's literal poetry, I'm not joking), and the scene that follows even more so...
Putting these scenes together really shows how much Athy grew over the course of the story, huh? From accepting she truly loved Claude but being willing to give that up, to confessing how afraid she was of losing her loved ones' affection, because it was the first time she held anything across three lifetimes, to finally realizing her true self and then being willing to sacrifice herself to protect those she loves.
Excuse me, I need to go cry for a bit...

thinking about season one qwat au when they don't yet know quinn's a hitter and it's only eliot who gets antsy when quinn's left alone with the client for too long. it's fine, the client doesn't actually do anything with it, but quinn can give some pretty detailed advice as casually as if they're discussing tea blends.
(it puts eliot in the position of having to say "no, we shouldn't be telling them how to discreetly dispose of the abusive asshole of the week" though, and that's no fun at all. quinn responds better to "you're messing with my job and that's not alright" and the assurance that he can pick their breakfast tomorrow.)
