Voyager, “I feel like I've lost touch with the captain a little bit; we had wonderful things in the first couple of seasons and I wanted to get back some of that adversarial kind of mental battling kind of confrontations that we had.” The captain, of course, had another rebel on her hands when Seven of Nine joined the ship, and B'Elanna had problems with the new Borg crew member. “I loved the conflict between B'Elanna and Seven of Nine. I know at some point we had some discussion with the producers; they wanted to soften the antagonism, and I said, ‘Please, this conflict is good; let's not discard it too quickly! Let's work for an understanding between them.’ I think conflict is exciting, and they did actually maintain that. It adds so much more spice, in my opinion.”

I'd been told before about Dawson having expressed the opinion that it was better to keep the relationship between B'Elanna and Seven antagonistic, as a bit of trivia. I'm glad that I finally found a source for this piece of information though because the context of the interview makes it clear that Dawson was trying to keep the character of B'Elanna interesting in a way that made sense to her, without having to necessarily fall in line with the idea of a ‘conflict-less’ future that didn't accommodate for the actual effort to get there. It's an approach to storytelling that I find really appealing as well. What's disappointing to me though is that on the show we never really saw the ‘work’ that could've brought B'Elanna and Seven to an actual understanding, but rather only caught glimpses of its possibility.

the stobin bathroom scene is literally sacred to me and the scoops troop dynamic is <3 I complain endlessly about how the soviet storyline was implemented but the character side of things is perfect to me...adding in yet another character is so not fun for me bc they are not adding anything particularly interesting usually just sexual tension with Steve and it's usually undermining the dynamics I do care about..ppl should consider adding Eddie to like . j/ncy s3 scenes instead

GODS SAME like... fighting russians under the mall is so incredibly stupid but i love the scoops troop scenes and dynamics SO MUCH. and yeah like whenever people add another character they always want them to get captured with steve and robin (or instead of robin which like i said in my tags.... n o).

like ig there are ways you could add another person if you keep them with erica and dustin (ive done it twice for specific aus that arent published yet) but like not only does it fuck with the stobin dynamic if you have the extra person captured with stobin, but also.... each of them have a door what are you expecting a third person to do?? it makes more sense for if there is a third teen/adult for them to stay and "protect" the kids anyway like you dont need to give them torture trauma too.

its funny bc i really do love the like, actual mall aspects of eddie working at a music store and becoming friends with them/flirting with steve, but i dont need him to then join the scoops troop when the upside down shit comes knocking. i swear people love to use eddie to screw up the stobin dynamic. (another pet peeve is every s3 au where for some reason? robin and eddie are already best friends? and like gang up on steve? like just bc they're queer does not automatically mean they are going to be bffs. its pretty significant to robins character that she also seems to be kind of a loner just like steve.)

and honestly YEAH theres literally three other plotlines going on that you can add characters like eddie or others too? have them get chased and traumatized thru the hospital. have them trying to corral five 14 year olds while they try to capture and then escape a possessed billy hargrove. i think it would be very funny to throw someone in with the jopper group and have them have to fifth wheel jopper and the murray/alexei duos.

hell, make up a hellfire member who has been flayed and that eddie is trying to figure out why theyre acting so weird, and have him follow them to starcourt or st! like some of those people just fucking walked away in the middle of convos during that one scene dfifjgsdigs there are so many fun things people could do to add characters to the group and yall wanna mess with the scoops troop dynamic?

I am a setting a new system for those who break my boundaries. I know this sounds harsh but at this point it is starting to hinder my ability to engage in the non/alterhuman communities and I can't take much of it.

Firstly, I am going to start blocking individuals who repeatedly break my boundaries and make no effort to correct themselves. I am tired of having to assert my boundaries seemingly every day and it is draining me.

Secondly, if I don't know an individual and they break a boundary that is detrimental to this blog (i.e. reblogging my fictionkin posts with fandom tags) they will not get any warnings and instead be blocked on sight. That boundary is set in place to ensure my safety because of how notoriously toxic the MH fandom is. My boundaries page will be revamped to show which boundaries are a higher priority.

I am sorry if this upsets anyone but I also need to ensure my own safety and comfort especially if this boundary breaking is hindering me now.

Edit to clarify: I fucking know how fandom tags via reblog work and I don't care. If you feel the need to still put a fandom tag on my post when reblogging even for organizational purposes, then just don't reblog.

She-Clops has been the first among all of them, I think they've been there since 2016. It has had two rewrites and so many characters came and went but I think I'm satisfied with the Blueyesque story style it has now

Ghost Pile and When The Moon Is Bright both came around 2017 when Deltarune and Cuphead are huge hits. These are probably gonna be dormant but like, I like to include em but also here's a random pic cuz I can't find any drawings of either

The Light Plague started at 2018 and it has had many beautiful and painful rewrites. TLP is also the oc set with the densest story since it's a compilation of angsty characters that has each their own thing going on

Crank Those Gears, I believe that was 2020 or 2021 during my TF2 era because that is heavily inspired by EngieSpy. Still adore GR-17 and Nodiel dearly, hope I get to start on the webcomic

On the same world building as CTG, there's Shallow Stares with the magic tree babies. Shallow Stares came along shortly after She-Clops. One of the trees in the trio, Twelve, his design actually came to me in a dream and I just drew him. Next thing you know it became an entire dndesque adventuretimesque fantasy world, post apocalypse and all (and that apocalypse was TLP)

Not part of any self made world but TF2 ocs but Michel and his team should also be here too, somewhere mid 2021 or early 2022, that beautiful fucker is made because the DNAD server (GODBLESS DNAD YEEHAW) has a pack of people who absolutely adores tentamercs and I joined in with em. Gave him a whole team with their own original traits to go along with them. I haven't posted anything about this but the Soldier in Michel's team is a druid that wanna be human

Leave You're Not Safe Here, heavily inspired by Don't Hug Me, is the second newest out of all the sets, I think it's one year old or about to be a year old. Honestly I LOVE the concept of LYNSH cuz the main characters are all these weirdcore or abstract people but it's like a Regular Show thing so there's also humans in it. Tho the humans are rainbow coloured like Psychonauts characters (fun fact, TLP characters used to be coloured the same way, Cobalt is the only one that isn't changed) Lemme tell you smthn about LYNSH. It's the humans that act like weirdos and they insist that the abstract characters don't belong anywhere. Absolutely not a metaphor for anything

the answer is that it’s entirely up to you! the way tumblr’s filtering system works is that if you block a tag that the OP has tagged, it’ll block all the reblogs too, so you don’t have to worry about that for that or for purposes of visibility, only the OP’s tags directly matter. (that being said, while I typically don’t because I have poor memory and often forget, it’s also normal to add things like trigger tags that OP may have forgotten.)

that being said, your blog is your blog! you may want an organization system for you! in which case, it’s perfectly normal to add things like fandom tags or character tags when you reblog, so you or other people can search your blog on those tags and find related posts! i don’t typically because I’m lazy but I appreciate people who do because it’s lovely and organized, haha. it’s up to you if you want to do that—no specific etiquette one way or the other!

in addition, OP will see your tags, but they’re sort of like “whispering”, because other people who reblog from you won’t carry your tags over. so if you want to compliment OP or add a comment or something, you can leave it in the tags—adding commentary to art or fic is often appreciated if you have something to say about it, and leaving it in the tags is the normal place to do that on tumblr! so the one thing I’d say is not to leave something insulting in the tags, because OP will see it. also sometimes people will screenshot or copy and credit tags they find funny so like, be aware of that. (jokingly this is called passing peer review.)

lastly, if you use a queue or other tumblr feature, some people have organizational tags for that. (I have a queue tag, for example.) this is also up to personal preference!

oh god I'm sorry for not censoring it, i didn't know it works like that forgive my pea brain

HDKSKDKDJDB IT'S FINE but yeah, tumblr works like that. if you don't censor words in the "body" of the post, or even in tags, the post itself will still show up when you search for the term.

so, for example, say you wanna post a negative rant about spongebob, but you don't want spongebob fans to find your post when they use the search function. in order for your post to not show up when people look up "spongebob", you need to:

a) censor the word in the post itself each time you use it

b) censor the word in rambling tags (like when you have a super long tag in which you're going off on a tangent etc you also need to censor the word there)

c) censor the word in tags in general (if you are like me and tend to use tags for organizational purposes, tagging it as "anti spongebob" will still make your post show up in regular spongebob searches. unfortunately.)

i have also noticed that some people have tried to get around censoring by writing it out like "i cannot stand that sponge. he's such a bob". if you do this the post will still show up in searches. yeah. the only way to keep your hater<3 behavior confined to your blog is to censor the word, because not even splitting it up works.
