Hello Earthings! It’s Cosmi with some updates and some big news!

Let’s start off with the updates

The final page of Allies will be completed soon and for a week after that post, I’ll be opening the FNAF QNA where you can ask about the AU and its sister comic The Adventure Show!

I am currently working on some of the new animatronic character sheets hopefully I can more closer to finishing them after the QnA week.

A NEW STORY

A week ago I got back into an old cartoon show from my childhood. If you are familiar with the name Ruby Gloom, then you got it!

Introducing Twilight Town: The Monstrous World of Ruby Gloom. A webcomic that takes place in a reimagining of the original source material. The story takes place 8 years after the events of the cartoon series. The main cast of kid characters have now just reached adulthood and have to handle their own responsibilities. While they all still live as housemates in the mansion as they were before, the story still follows them when they aren’t home. The primary plot is about a 19 year old Ruby who owns a blog meant to show to humans that monsters are not evil or dangerous despite the odds being heavily against her and her friends.

I already made two character profiles I’ll post on here soon!

Who is He Who Was in DnD History?

He Who Was, was a Diety, an angel of Baathion.

a Diety of; kingship, goodness, peace, wisdom, and the sky. Supposedly the Creator of Humans.

He Who Was was killed by his servant and then-Angel Asmodeus. Asmodeus took his Godly powers, though Asmodeus's God Title is debated amongst Hell Politics.

Anyone who previously knew He Who Was' name, was "removed" and Asmodeus removed any mention of him from history.

Before He died, He cursed Asmodeus and his followers to Baator, to the Nine Hells, instead of Asmodeus' ideal astral dominion of Baathion. Asmodeus tried erasing all of his past to paint himself a new god, He Who Was included in his past.

He Who Was' corpse is stored in the High Astral- Tomb of Horrors

His lore is based upon Christian religion and fallen angels, but in a different scenario where good falls.

Overall, there is not a lot known about He Who Was.

How Did Asmodeus Get Inspired to Kill He Who Was?

Before He's death, Asmodeus got involved with what was named The Dawn Wars.

Asmodeus hated how forgiving He Who Was was.

Asmodeus was assigned to guarding Tharizdun in The Abyss, also known as He Who Waits, a powerful Evil god who's death would've destroyed existence, not for some Deities shoving his power in a tomb.

His time guard is when Asmodeus was encouraged to act on his evil thoughts to killed his master, by a demon lord named Pazuzu.

Pazuzu was at his side when he came up with a way to kill the Deity. Asmodeus was gifted a shard of evil from The Abyss, where Asmodeus was guarding. The shard was crafted in what is famously The Ruby Rod. The Rod struck down He Who Was successfully.

Asmodeus went back to Baathion, gathered followers, and which ended with his killing his Master He Who Was.

The angels were turned to devils and banished to The Nine Hells of Baator. Their new prison.

This well explains Asmodeus's demanding Lawful Evil ways.

Anyone who speaks of He Who Was is supposedly killed by Asmodeus's devils. All records before that have been destroyed, and no one knows He's real name, but if it is spoken, it is said to bring him back.

Facts of the BG3 He Who Was

IN BG3 He's portrayed as a Gloom Weaver Shadar'Kai. That means he plays with dark magic, and is an elf that thrives in the Shadowlands.

He killed Madeline who was a bartender at the Waning Moon, with a client list. Which she shared, and got two of her friends killed by a Dark Justiciar as a result.

Who are the Shadar'Kai?

Shadar'kai are a race of elf, a cursed speices of fay, who are loyal to the fallen Raven Queen.

They're a more recent existing race, from Netherese and the event of Spellplague

They exist between life and death because of their origin plane.

Some still serve their queen, others leave and forge their own destinies.

They have ashy skin tones, and when in their home Shadowfell plane, their moods change. Reflecting the gloomy somber state of the land.

They live the same life-span as a normal elf (over 750 years)

Proficiency in perception, get extra dexterity and constitution, Dark Vision, Charm Resistance, Resistant to sleeping spells, can teleport 30ft unaffected by terrain with the Raven Queen's Blessing, Necrotic Resistance, 4 hours of meditative rest like any other elf, they're hardier than regular elves.

Generally devoid of a lot of emotion, mostly "mournful and joyless. They were neither benevolent or malevolent, though they were not inclined to follow rules" it's just a regular fucking elf with necrotic resistance.

They're often Gloom Weavers, Soul Mongers, or Shadow Dancers.

Shadow Dancers are Shadar'Kai warriors

Gloom Weavers radiate a weakening aura on humanoids and beasts up to 10ft, when injured they reflex invisibility. They're your average mage with extra Necromancy abilities. Gloom Weavers enjoy hiding and watching their weakening aura affect others.

Soul Mongers are strong in magic and melee. Can radiate weakening aura up to 30ft which can affect almost any creature, highly resistant to most any condition and magic affects, can heal itself when knocked out. They're tormented with a good time, feel incredible loss, anyone who survives an attack can describe it as "the moan of a tortured soul, lost in tragedy"

The Raven's that are sent by the Raven Queen are messengers to ask the Shadar'Kai of something. The race itself is too fearful to go up to her in The Fortress of Memories themselves.

The Shadar'Kai are sent to retrieve trinkets, memories, or emotions of the living, or souls if they were close enough to death.

Death is only a temporary condition for Shadar'Kai, often their queen revives them and sends them back.

Their Raven Queen is not a true Goddess, but close. Some still loyally serve her.

How Did This Race Come About? I'm not going over the entire assassination plot of a Goddess, too fucking long.

The Spellplague was in 1385, which was the Assassination of Mystra by the Gods Cyric (God of Lies and Murder) and Shar.

For 10 years arcane magic didn't exist. Then The Weave completely tore apart, releasing Raw Magic.

Huge win and lose for the Gale Lovers. I hate Mystra too.

2 earlier incarnations of Mystra had died to be reborn, which lead to control over the Weave again in 1480, known as Mystra’s Return. Magic returned to its formal, but some spellplague lingered.

The Shadow Weave collapsed as The Weave did.

Any entities that came across this unleashed magic was at risk or dying or being warped. It's affects are called Plaguechanged.

Plaguechanged beings often underwent physical mutations, insanity, an bestowed terrible powers. If they were lucky, they were left with a Spellscar, with "potent magical abilities".

Huge Asmodeus lore and The Abyss again. He fucking tried to end The Blood War and just “stalled” it 100 years. anyway. complicated as fuck.

Elves got tied into the Shadowfell and were affected by Plaguechange or The Breath of Blue Flames. Which helps them be unaffected by the Blue Flames. (as seen as blue-green waves slipping through cracks in BG3)

HEADCANONS <below>

The He Who Was in BG3 loves pain and suffering. which really makes me fucking think. From Diety to little elf who likes pain.

Godhood is something I despise in every DnD god. they're stuck up, high and mighty, strike you down because they can assholes. Shar, Vlaakith, Bhaal, Bane, Mystra, He Who Was seemingly. He has the same fault that every Diety does, the sin of Pride.

He Who Was is maybe living in the past. He's using a fresh body from the Waning Moon which was taken over by the shadow curse ages ago. With long dead information about patrons. and long dead dark justiciar knowledge.

The shadowlands canonically are a reality for passed souls, living in the past and present souls go there. It's kinda inconsistent canon lore but we'll go with it.

He could be a trapped diety of Tharizdun, He Who Waits, who died and they preserved his power so it didn't end all existence. His body is stored in the Demiplane of Imprisonment but conscious is in The Abyss. but he's an evil Diety. with insane worshippers. and his angel number is 333.

Maybe He Who Was knowingly would gain another form after death, though his abilities and life were usurped.

He's demanding of names from a book, which is ironic for someone who lost his name. He seeks justice.

Perhaps The Raven Queen was mad enough to revive a god for herself, to retrieve everything she wishes.

Okay enough of the nerdcanons. Here's some for BG3 players who wish he was fuckable.

He’s a super moody guy. He’s usually very low energy and just enjoys silence.

He hates music. It’s noise and distraction.

If you’re a mage of some kind, sharing magic with him is depressing. His magic is filled with gloom and sadness. He likes yours tho, it’s comfortable and makes him feel less hopeless
