-he will get there eventually, but before that, he’s very…well…tense ? He has a hard time initiating romantic gestures or telling you nice things

-again it’s not because he doesn’t want to, it’s that he is in his own head too much that he cannot garner the courage to do so. You’re dating but he still suspects it’s all a tasteless joke on him

-in those moments when Shane beats his inner critics, he can be such a sweetheart omfg

-I’m speaking kissing you behind your ear, caressing your waist and whispering sweet nothings in your ear. He isn’t very eloquent most of the time, but when the moment is right, he just knows what to say to you to make you feel loved

-Shane is the type of person to show his affection through mild bullying and joking around. He might be calling you a dwarf or giant (depending on your height difference) make fun of little things you do that he notices, but it’s never in bad taste. He always makes sure you know it’s just silly banter that usually ends in you two fighting playfully and then tumbling on top of each other, laughing and kissing 🥺🥰

-this man, this man loves when you sleep on his chest. On a lazy Sunday watching tv or just when he wakes up in the morning, noticing your head’s weight on him. tbh the very first thing that converted me was watching this interview forever ago because i remember being deeply intrigued by lando's demeanor + relative shyness + how hard he tried overall to appear Respectable and Mature in front of jense while answering his questions??? like the way jenson smiles at him during "are you happy?" "UMMM... kind of" wtheck T__T

jendo honestly have a lot of lore though! again i am not an expert but @cuthechicane has so many fantastic clips and gifsets if you're looking for interax that will rewire your brain chemistry ☝️ (the sheer giddinesssss of their miami interview 😭 also this is a classic moment). part of their thing is that they're both "somerset boys" (lando grew up in glastonbury / jenson is from frome) so that connection also kind of adds an extra layer to jenson having raced for mclaren / lando looking up to him and the general hero worship or cyclical nature of f1 that is palpable in their dynamic and a lot of other f1 agediff ships. ofc rossi was lando's real hero but... you know jenson is jenson

really though i think what i like most about jendo is how much jenson genuinely ADORES lando lmfao like their dynamic is so ridiculous but in a really absurdly sincere way!!! ofc it's super fun to go all in on the rancid age gap power imbalance vibes etc. and the way they flirt in public and fluster each other but jenson 100% RATES lando and hypes him up constantly to the point that it's almost embarrassing negl. lichr him going all in on lando like 4 hours ago... what's craziest to me is that he sincerely believes everyone else loves lando too like his brain can't comprehend the mere concept of someone not being obsessed with his favorite little british twink 😭 he's those innocent guys on reddit who still post comments like "lando is so nice it's impossible to hate him!!!" as if we're still in 2019 or something...... i want to live in that world

imo there's also an aspect to jendo where it's like...? jenson sees so much of himself in lando to the point of having preconceptions about lando's mentality that he projects onto him a bit which i think adds dimension to jenson's vulnerability but that goes into way more my own Meta and isn't really relevant to this post. but part of jenson's personality is that he is very charismatic and a natural speaker and also Usually Right so he loves to SAY shit and although he's not quite a nico-level professional shit stirrer he does kind of um... always speak like he knows something you don't. as evidenced by his time as lewis's teammate wherein he won the idgaf war by not acknowledging it going on in the first place. this is also why he and oscar should banter more because i feel like the comparisons between oscar and jenson are honestly so apt HLSDFH i have a jenson/oscar/lando post if that is of any interest

ok sorry i'm getting off-track but >>>all of that to me is why jendo is fun... jenson presents as very self-assured but if you do a psyche deep dive you realize he was quite sensitive growing up and Personally Victimized by briatore and has been quite open about his anxiety and the way f1 culture functioned at the time, and he's always been quite emotionally regulated but obviously there was... also a lot of glamour that accompanied that until later in his career LOL. so getting to explore those sides of him with a 20-something lando who very much mirrors him (self-reflective and sometimes overly critical and learning to live the "highly committed and industrious playboy" life) but also makes his façade crack in ways you don't often see is so fun & fascinating...!!! imo you can take them in a lot of different directions as a ship :3c

When you see fanart of Jack there are so many different versions of him which i love to see as some people give him a sort of demonic tail or gradient skin or make him really damn tall.

My head cannons for him are he's always been a tall boy like 6 something something im not good with knowing the numbers for heights but just know he's talk as hell and also had really untamed hair (like i bet he hasn't used a brush since he turned-).

Since he is a demon i like the idea of him having sharp pointy teeth,a long ass tongue (sometimes more than one) and pointy ears. For some reason to me that suits him.

As a "person" he's quite quiet if he's don't know a person that well but that don't mean that he doesn't know how to voice his opinion.He thinks logically a lot of the time before his feelings i feel that's the doctor in him. and he lovesss reading (rip Eyeless Jack you would have loved booktok). Again tapping into the demon part of his personality he sometimes crawls on all fours, and is really agile as well (kinda like Nightcrawler from x-men).

When it comes to friends ships in the house i feel that himself, jeff and ben have like a brotherly friendship with each other. Jeff is a pest to him likeee jeff pulls pranks, and banters and then jacks gotta try and not kill him (might make that a lil story piece).

Ben Drowned

Ben used to be my top fav creepypasta when i was like 13 goddd the crush i had on him. My top head cannon from him is that he's a complete nerd like 100 percent discord mod ( nah im kidding ).

Since his whole existence is based on video games i like to think that he loves playing them like he's got like a whole gaming setup in his room. if he's not doing a mission for slender he's banging out minecraft or something else on the xbox 360.

Personality wise he will never not crack a joke he's like the funniest one in the whole mansion. Again 100 percent goofball and he's really chill isn't really a problem started unless he's playing pranks will jeff to piss of Jack.

Another headcanon i like is that Ben literally doesn't know what personal space is since hean jump through the different appliances in the mansion. kinda like going in your room without knocking he'll jump through a tv or a radio and get screamed at using his power he also knows stuff about the other creeps that he shouldn't ( one shot in coming)

Y'all remember lease bound, that incredibly transphobic, antisemitic webcomic? Well, you can add 'racist' to the list as well. Look at the way the creator writes black men, or rather, the singular black, male character she chose to write and not kill off like his father; Jacob, younger brother to Jaiden.

He's indifferent and lacks empathy.

He's messy, undisciplined

They spread the belief that Africans were naturally lazy people who needed a firm master who told them what to do, otherwise they would lounge around all day and do nothing of value, similar to a horse or dog. They need another (preferably white) person who orderes them around, and getting the indifferent, lazy, uncaring slaves to work necessitated the threat of violence.

Jacob falls into the 'Sambo' or 'Coon' stereotype.

The decision to write her sole male, black character present that way probably stems from her distatste of men in general.

"Propaganda to men's humanity" Ah yes, because as we all know, men aren't really human and can never be expected to have the empathy, goodwill and selflessness as a woman. Their moral inferiority and indifference is in their dna, and we should just accept that they're all naturally bad people. /s

This is what happens when you unironically believe shit like "All men are bad" and "All men should be locked up in cages" without reflecting on how these opinions might be harming moc and further racist stereotypes they have to deal with. Moc already deal with enough dehumanization and comparisons to animals. They're already viewed as less human.

Have you ever thought of exploring Drake & LP’s friendship beyond their work of being hero & sidekick?

Mmmm, Personally, I don't think it would change much if they're working or not, since Launchpad tends to be pretty true to himself. Drake not so much, but around Lp, he tends to be quite honest with himself as well. I'm gon ramble a bit about something that bothers me a little when it comes to how the franchise sometimes treats their dynamic. n then go back to the q at the end! (⁠◔⁠‿⁠◔⁠)

One thing I've noticed, and it was incredibly apparent in the new 'Darkwing Duck' comics; was how easily Launchpad is dismissed. In one of the earlier issues (can't remember each one SOZ) Drake states he was going to retire his hero work again and in response to that fact, Launchpad walks out–to find a 'job' elsewhere. Which I think is incredibly absurd. But what's more absurd, is the fact that Drake AND Gosalyn just let him walk out. (DID WE FORGET THE EVENTS OF 'U.F.FOE' OR 'INHERIT THE WIMP'. Gosalyn was so upset by the idea of Launchpad leaving her life, to the point of tears / close to tears.) I just think it's out of character, even if they don't follow the same universe.

The second thing is the episode of 'Dead Duck'. 'Drake dies' and Gosalyn and Lp are left alone. While it isn't explored too much, Gosalyn is now entrusted to Launchpad. Pair that with the fact that that entire episode was Drake's subconscious (unconscious state), it means Drake is actually relying on Lp. He knows something might happen, and he trusts Launchpad to keep his little girl safe. Even if in another episode (?) Launchpad states he'd do just that "take care of Gos as if she were my own" and Drake is hesitant. "Don't give up your day job yet, buddy." Even if he doesn't acknowledge just how important Lp is to him, subconsciously he relies on his friend a lot.

Lastly, it's the episode of 'Time and Punishment', which honestly deserves its own post to ramble about but anyways. Just after Gosalyn disappeared, we were shown Drake in an awful state. Barely doing anything on his own, depressed and grieving. Launchpad stayed and tried hard to distract him (which is a good idea tbh, because a couple times has 'distracting' himself been a way to cope. Especially in this episode.) We also see Launchpad free, roaming amongst the patrolled streets of St. Canard. Which I think is interesting. Darkwarrior has locked away so many people for the most mundane things and yet he allowed Lp to roam free for so long. Subconsciously, at least for a while–he still cared a little for him. Even he, DARKWARRIOR didn't completely throw him away. (I'm a BIT salty about that comic volume😮‍💨)

Anyways.

I think, beyond their hero work, they'd be incredible close. They're a family and that's been expressed a lot. They need each other too. Even if we were to erase the hero/ sidekick job for one second, their characters go beyond that. They both have their desperate need to be needed and wanted, and not to mention how well they bounce off each other. With Lp not taking much to heart and often letting Drake rant and sulk without complaint. Drake needs someone like that. Drake needs someone in his corner to help him out of his little depressive episodes, give advice, to remind him of mundane things like PT meetings. Whereas Launchpad needs to be needed and to help (which was explored). And he would most definitly be needed in a family setting.

They really are a lot more than just Hero/Sidekick. They're family and it's hard to break that bond. The trust in one another is very strong. Drake would keep Launchpad around, raising Gosalyn because he's just as important to her as Drake is. Both characters bring out the best in each other, so I don't think Lp would be quick to leave, nor do I think Drake would be quick to let him go.

uhh yeah

basically, i feel their dynamic would remain the same. If anything, the hero/sidekick thing makes it stronger. Hope this answered it okay, ik I kinda went off and rambled about something semi-related, but I think it was important to point out :)

It was so creative to have her past memories blurring with glimpses of the present during the enchantment. I *felt* her disorientation, and it *hurt*. I felt so bad for Gwen all over again! 😭😭😭 That aspect of this story could have been a fantastic standalone one-shot in its own right, but noooo, you raised the bar and KEPT GOING and made it even better!!! I love that you showed Gwen and Merlin staying friends after Gwen becomes queen, and I love how she confides in him and how he immediately drops everything to go look for the offending piece of jewelry. The bit about Arthur’s incredulity at Merlin’s method of testing the enchantment was a great dash of humor, and I love that you fleshed out the concept of the enchantment to be something the others could experience so that they could truly *know* that Gwen had been innocent. And don’t even get me started on how much I love Arthur’s “Forgive me.” I love how he doesn’t think twice about humbling himself in front of everyone because his focus is solely on Gwen, consumed by the urgency of doing the right, honorable, and loving thing in that moment. So this ask is me and you asked what makes it believable…well, the podcast story for one (which was from last year I think) seems pretty believable to me. It’s actually a cute story. No shade thrown at Louis, she says he was lovely and a great kisser. He took her number (don’t think he gave his) and messaged her a few times - by then he’d left LA - and then contact stopped. He’s not that big of a name in the music/celeb world - don’t get me wrong I love him but he keeps a fairly low profile - so this girl has no reason to lie in my opinion. Most folks who listen to her podcast probably have no idea who he is apart from the 1D link. Her podcast doesn’t appear to be about 1D - although I’ve not seen what else she’s done. She doesn’t appear to be a fan in fact I don’t even think she knew who he was at first, others told her.

Her story is also very similar to others that claim to have made out with him. Girl meets him in a bar/club where he’s usually with at least one other friend, they kiss, his friend kind of protects their privacy…and then nothing beyond. No stories of them going back to his hotel, sleeping with him or anything like that. Just club make outs! There was a photo doing the rounds a while ago of him sat with a girl in Mexico I think. The story from her friend was that they’d made out and it does sort of look that way from the pic but honestly who knows!

I’d say he has a type!

Of course none of these may be true (and I’m quite happy for you tell me they’re not!) but there does seem to be a reoccurring theme…

ok I think im just gonna touch on a couple of things here for you anon:

1. About him being not big enough/why would people lie: he’s not Harry, and so it’s simply because it’s more believable. We don’t see Harry out and about at clubs. We don’t see him getting drunk and surrounded by gals in a filthy club. But we do see Louis doing that. Louis is open about his alcohol and drug use so it’s a lot easier to fabricate things about him because it’s no secret that he goes out. But I simply don’t believe he’s on the pull.

2. Continuing with texts: if he was on the pull, he wouldn’t just make out with a girl, keep texting her, and then ghost shortly after. I feel like it would be a hit it and quit it more likely, because why bother texting after if you have no intention on seeing them again? Would it just be to make him look better/because he’s a nice guy? I think it makes it seem that he was more interested in her. But in my experience, artists don’t do that, unless they wanna uphold the relationship to see that person every time they’re in town. But I just don’t think it’s the case.

3. Not being a fan: of course she wouldn’t post this from a Louis account or whatever, as it would make it more unbelievable. And you’re right, I doubt she’s a fan, and becaude she’s like “oh im not a fan” it makes it seem, again, more believable.

4. Similar stories: upholding the narrative is what makes these stories more believable. Someone says a story, paints a picture of Louis, then another person claims they made out with him too but aligns their “story” with what the other person said because it seems consistent, and the more people with a similar experience, the easier it is to believe it’s him.

5. Club make outs: these are by far the easiest to fabricate, because going back to an artist’s hotel these days seems ridiculous and too far fetched. You have to uphold a longer and more detailed story, and you’ll probably get more hate, ya know?

6. Random girls: like… okay. Listen. Making out with randoms is a surefire way to get sick when on tour. You don’t know what germs you’re getting and it’d be a big risk. Hook up with someone and wake up the next day with a sore throat? Soz, your show is cancelled!

And finally, just to put things in perspective:

Would you believe me if I said I’d hooked up with Louis? I just run this account because I once believed larry were together and I still fight for them because of the injustices they went through as kids. I’ve never discussed it before, because it’s quite clear im a fan, and it would sound quite unbelievable. But when I worked with him on tour, he invited a few of us for post show drinks, and we went out to a club with a VIP area out of sight. Oli and his crew were there, and we all drank and laughed, and had a dance. Louis grabbed my waist and we started making out, and it was super hot. I was obviously really shocked! But he was super sweet and a good kisser so I just went with the flow.

So, we continued to dance and make out and oli and security kinda noticed a few people from the dance floor below the balcony VIP area we were in, started to notice that there may have been someone famous up there. Oli moved to the front to block us, we continued making out, and luckily there was only one photo posted and I immediately asked the person to take it down. We carried on drinking shots and vodka redbulls together, celebrating an awesome Australia tour.

Louis was very touchy for the rest of the night, but we just had a laugh. He asked for my number, I gave it to him, and he said he’d text me the next day. I went back to my hotel with my workmates, and was in absolute shock and so weirded out that he was actually into women!?!?!! The whole Larry thing just dropped for me, and it turned out that yeah… the other stories were true.

We texted back and forth the next day, both laughing about our hangovers, and he was super sweet. He said he’d like to see me again when he’s in AU, and kept in touch even when he left. Communication fizzled out on his end and I figured like whatever he’s a super busy guy, and I left it at that. He was super gentle and sweet though, and very funny and loud. It was so wild!

Hello! This is mostly a request/gathering call for us masters: anyone up for some future planning in the comments (goals etc.)? Since we’re going back into the arena, I think it’d be really helpful if we listed/discussed a couple of goals we wanted to hit when we’re back at it! Normally there’s a bunch of discussion under posts, but they’re typically more focused on the occurring event, so. Here’s a compilation of current future goals we have, any masters please feel free to add more on/discuss in the comments!

In no particular order,

Current common goals:

1) Get checkup done by Angra’s healer person

2) Go find Avenger (Salieri)

3) Get Avenger (Salieri) back

4) Tear Caster to shreds :]

5) Figure out what to do from there

Possible other goals:

1) Figure out if we want more servants on our team, if so who and when (having more under us doesn’t mean they’ll necessarily trust, like, or go with our plans. More servants also mean more people to work with/look over and higher expenses of resources (items etc). We might want to discuss things and consider how well we can trust servants we want to rope in, and how we’re going to handle logistics and prioritise servants, wants, and needs before we go through with things)

2) If Avenger’s in kill mode, bring him back out of it and back to himself

3) If we do have multiple servants at some point, figure out a system so that we don’t accidentally end up with the negligence situations again 😔 (though that should be negated by a lot if we’re all on the same team)

4) Go find Rider, talk to him/figure stuff out with him

5) Find items and resources/temp allies?

6) Go find Saber, talk to them, get loreblasted 👍 (before or after we end Caster debatable, but they did mention hoping for no deaths in this war (soz bud, very likely nah))

7) Temporary ceasefire/truce with Blue team until we to tear Caster to the ground

8) Apology letter to Blue team

Okayyyyy idk if you've ever watched The Bear. And personally I'm still on season 1 but the main character Carmy is who I was thinking abt when I made that post. And tbh there's not a lot in canon to base it on like it's not that sorta headcanon, it's more like a "hey wouldn't this be really neat. Ugh" and like. Yes there's the hallucinations and delusions aspect of it (I really don't know much abt delusions, I'll have to look into it more), but also symptoms like Thought Disorder and flat affect/difficulty with or inability to express emotions. Thought disorders largely impact people's speech patterns (tbh if you're interested I'd recommend reading abt it bc I can't cram it all into this post 😭) in a way that's not necessarily canon, but like, could easily be extrapolated, yk? Also it's a headcanon lmao

He does have a sleepwalking(?) problem in canon, which led to him almost burning down his apartment. Again idk much abt delusions atm and I've never had hallucinations so soz if I'm way outta line somehow but I Do believe most of his would be cooking related, just bc yk, like, that's what his life revolves around. Author's Note: omg wow I'm posting again whaaaaat. First person bc I didn't feel like going and changing it to you/yours, soz. I got a lil sad at this as a relatively new Stevie gal, but pls enjoy (also imagine this as the angsty kind of sad boi to follow...but don't feel too bad for him bc he cheated).

I know that something is wrong. Steve has been off for the last few weeks but I don’t know why and he hasn’t said anything. He’s been distant, less affectionate, only brief kisses on my cheek when he’s leaving versus the usual heady lip-locking. I can’t remember the last time he initiated sex, but I can remember the last time I heard him jacking off in the bathroom even though I told him I was up for it. Or the last time I heard him leave the house and come back three hours later smelling clean, but sweet.

It has me anxious. Like all of my atoms are under attack. But I don't wanna say nothing so I don't react.

I’ve been silent, haven’t brought it up or made it known that I felt him pulling away. No, I don't even notice him.

He’s in the kitchen and I’m in the bath.

“Yeah, I can't play normal and you can't pretend,” I say through the open doorway. I know he can hear me. I see his back tense as he pauses washing the dinner dishes.

“What are you talking about?” he scoffs.

“I can’t pretend that I don't know where you go, anymore.”

He turns, his face marred with a question but his eyes know what I’m saying. He wipes his hands with a dish towel before closing the distance between us and leaning against the bathroom door. I lean on my arms atop the side of the bathtub.

“Am I not enough?” I ask. Before he can interrupt I keep going. “Is it because of what happened last spring? With Vecna?”

He tenses. His eyes focused on the tile floor in front of him.

I continue.

“I know where you go,” I laugh, throwing my hands up and sinking back into the lukewarm bathwater. “I know where you go. Do you think I don’t notice? How you leave in the middle of the night? How you only to come back to bed hours later with damp hair and smelling like Mike?”

He looks at me at that.

“Are you that daft? I buy your body wash. It’s always the citrus one because you can’t stand any other scents, they give you headaches. But when you come back to bed you smell like Irish Spring. I know that’s what Mike uses because that’s what his mom buys him when she comes through my line at the grocery store.”

“You’re crazy. I go to the park and run and then sneak into the pool showers and that’s what people leave there. You know I have nightmares and that running helps.” He starts to turn around, back towards the kitchen

“Then how do you explain your clothes smelling like her room.”

He hesitates. And I stand up in the bath.

“I’ve been in her room before, I know her perfume. For fucks sake we made out for the first time on her bed two years ago at her Halloween party, of course I know what that room smells like. We made one of my favorite memories there that night.”

He doesn’t say anything. I dry myself off and put on my pajamas that were sitting on the toilet lid.

“I hope you fuck her with your eyes closed. And think of me.”

“Y/N,” he whispers, hand reaching for mine when I pass him as I leave the bathroom.

“No. I hope you love her with the lights low and think of me. Think of me waiting here staring at the ceiling, checking the clock for when you come home.”

“Please. You know we have history, you know that.”

I turn and face him. His eyes are watery, red, sad. “Yeah, yeah I do. But I thought you loved me? I thought you were over her? I thought you were just friends now?”

“We’re bonded,” he says grabbing my arms. “With everything we’ve been through, there’s no way I can live without Nancy in my life.”

I stare at him, waiting for him to continue his attempt at redemption.

“We never expected it to happen. We didn’t want to fall back into it but it just— We just did. It was familiar, it was comfortable, it was comfort for us.”

“Being with me wasn’t comfort enough? You had to go back to her?”

Angry tears dampened my cheeks. I ripped my arms from his grasp to wipe them away.

“I hope you fuck her with your eyes closed," I repeat. "I hope looking at her makes guilt burrow into your stomach. Put the shame off with some Benzos, swallow the feeling while you walk home. And think of me. Always.”

Steve’s staring at the floor again. Refusing to look at me.

“You aren’t even denying it anymore. All of the color has drained from your face.”

Nothing. No apology.

“I’m sorry and I love you is noise that you make now. Nothing more, they don’t sound like they used to. Like any feeling you had behind them has disappeared."

“I’m sorry,” he whispered.

“Y’know at first, no, I didn't even notice you stayin' out—Stayin’ out all night. I didn’t think you’d be in her bed, running your fingers down her thighs. Lickin’ your lips in the low light. No, I didn't even notice you come home and kiss me with her chapstick on your lips. I didn’t think you’d do that to me. To us.”

“I-”

“We talked about marriage, Steve!” I yelled, storming into our shared bedroom. He doesn’t follow. “Kids! A life outside of this hellhole!”

I’m throwing as many clothes and things as I can into my duffle bag.

“But now?” I ask, slinging the bag over my shoulder and shoving my feet into my sneakers.

I walk back to the kitchen. He looks defeated. He’s not even trying to save this, to fix this.

“Fuck you, Steve.” I spit, anger mixing with heartbreak. “I can’t-I hope you fuck her with your eyes closed and think of me.”

It’s all I can think of now. I have no words, no defenses, no pleas. Just: “I hope you love her with the lights low and think of me. I hope you fuck her with your eyes closed, put the shame off with some Benzos, swallow the feeling while you walk home and think of me always. Think of me, think of me always.”

I slam the door behind me as I leave and head for anywhere but here.

Hm… I’ve already spoken at length about your portrayals before and I’d prefer to add on newer content than to repeat old content so… let’s focus on some of your other muses that I didn’t touch on the last time that I feel comfortable in talking about.

I personally don’t write with him or send anything to him (as we know), but others do and sometimes you write meta posts for him as well, which I read.

Random trivia is that I worked on this in the opposite order lol so I’m writing this section last and I’m already so tired and my back is PAIN so let’s try to make this less painful for me as I try to be quick about it.

In general, I’ve never threaded with him, but others have sent in things for him or threaded with him. You seem to focus on the more darker and closed off aspect of him, but still balance it out with the fact that he’s willing to put up with things for not only his ideals, but also because of Chrome. His care for Chrome is evident in the fact that he puts up with the Vongola and not actively disparaging them too much for them being Mafia. It’s utterly evident the disdain he has when interacting with other mafia because (as we know) he hates them. So, there are some exceptions that can be made.

He’s an incredibly nuanced and intricate character to understand and write for. I don’t think I’ve noticed much of the creepy-ish aspect of him. Like the shadiness and the intense lengths he’s willing to go to fulfill his goals (ie taking over the body of his friends, taking over the body of a random child, etc). It’s these kinds of actions that really unnerve me and hence I don’t like him because it just creeps me out from a ‘aldksjfalsdfk that’s medium-key scary if you really think about it’ standpoint. I don’t think I’ve noticed the same kind of vibe too much from the interactions you’ve had.

Though, I suppose with TYL, perhaps that was toned down some due to the tools and abilities he has at his disposal now. With Chrome, he’s more or less more human when he’s around her, and the shady, nefarious vibes are less. That’s likely why I haven’t noticed it much. That’s great for me, because I see him doing something shady (I include smirking in this category bc Amano has a way of drawing his smirks in such a way that it unnerves me) and I instantly want to just fly away. I appreciate him as a character, love the way he fits into the story and is such an integral part to the story-telling of KHR… but he makes my jimmies go crazy and I NO LIKE.

For the interactions I’ve seen, I think you’re doing well with him. I can only assume I’d see more of what I deem ‘creepy vibes’ if he were to interact with some other characters, but I’m also the ‘Nope don’t wanna see it, actively will shut off my eyes’… so… yeah. I call it self-preservation instincts. I’m a big pansy, yes. Truly, him shooting himself in the head really cemented him in my heart as: I DO NOT LIKE HIM, HE SCARES ME, HE IS TOO INTENSE FOR MY LIL BABY HEART. DON’T LOOK AT ME SCARY PINEAPPLE MAN.

Hmm… we don’t interact much with Tsuna and Haru (for reasons that you and I both know), but given what I know, I do think it’s an interesting take for Tsuna in some regards. Like the idea that he did possibly notice Haru, but also pretty much doubt the fact that her feelings were real/would last long. In a sense, she was like a back up almost. An interesting take indeed, and that isn’t to say that I dislike it or anything like that. Just not a take that I think I’ve seen anyone else take so far, which makes it fascinating.

Given some of the instances seen in canon and the little hints of people making references to him taking more interest in her/noticing her, there is some weight to the thought so it’s fun to think about. It sort of works with the fact that he’s so socially ill-adapted due to being so alone for a lot of his formative years, he’s not very good at understanding all of the social aspects or being comfortable in a strong social environment. He’s still pretty young though, so he can learn.

It is that lack in sociability that does hinder some of the way he interacts with people or understands them. I’ve said it before that I personally think that is one of the reasons why he’s never really denied Haru outright in the series or rejected her because he didn’t want to hurt her, he didn’t know how to, and he likely thought that if he avoided the situation altogether, she’d eventually move on anyways. I don’t know if he understood the hurt that may have come along with it, however. We also talked about the hyper-intuition thing, so that’s likely a reason he may not have known, because he didn’t think about it.

So how would he know if he didn’t think to know about it. I do think it’s fascinating how your Tsuna tends to anger Haru somewhat often lol. In some ways it’s unfamiliar, and it may come off as out of character for him, BUT HEAR ME OUT FIRST(!), that I personally think it’s more in line of who Tsuna should’ve been. Hyper-intuition can only help so much, and for a guy who canonically has been stated to have like no friends, and barely talked to any girls up until he talked to Kyoko by sheer coincidence—he really should’ve been making more mistakes when dealing with people, I think.

He should’ve struggled more to pick up on social cues, or misunderstand them. We did see a little bit of that with the Yamamoto roof scene where Tsuna kind of spoke thoughtlessly because he just wanted to say something to Yamamoto, but we know how that turned out. Given his setting, I truly think that there should’ve been a bit more in the realm of Tsuna just messing up with social interactions and bonding with people properly. Perhaps it’s just the fact that he’s the tsukkomi so there wasn’t a need to really showcase that- but we do know he does say some stupid things sometimes because he doesn’t realize how it can come off. ‘dId yOu eAt YaKiSOba?’ << See, he can say stupid shit too and just really get it so wrong from a sociability standpoint.

Like, I expected more things where he says something, intending something, but someone else takes it the wrong way. Idk SOMETHING but it really felt more like… he just assimilated so quickly to having friends and accepting them into his life so quickly. Sure, he did have moments where he’d doubt the friendship (ie ‘Gokudera-kun is going to be so disappointed in me now’) but it was really a lot less than I expected.

Before anyone says it, NO, I did not expect for Tsuna to go second guessing all of his friendships or anything, but it really felt like the fact that he was a loner for so long got overlooked and glossed over. I suppose we can try to chalk it up to quick adaptability and hyper-intuition.

ESSENTIALY!!! I actually kinda find it refreshing that Tsuna does mess up with Haru and sometimes give off the wrong meaning because he’s just --- dumb, socially. He’s learning, it’s a learning curve. Like, he clearly meant well by congratulating Haru on her relationship with Dera, but the way he went about it, just sparked her ire because it’s like read the room, did you really have to say it like that? It just feels more organic with the way he messed up because it shows better how it didn’t occur to him how it could’ve hurt her the way he went about congratulating her as her first failed love. Some of these things come with experience of dealing with people.

Sure, he has a lovely way of pissing her off in a lot of interactions, but it’s kinda fun. It feels a lil different from Tsuna canonically, but I do think it feels more organic and real- which is what I like. So, I like the way you go about writing him.

I haven’t really seen all that much of him, but I have seen a small bit here and there, especially with the guest appearance in the ‘arranged au.’ I’ve noticed you tend to stick with his more serious and calm side than some of his more troll tendencies. By no means is that a bad thing, just an observation that I made.

In other words, you focus on the more serious side of him, where it gives the feel of staying truer to the mafia-aspects of things rather than the more troll anime-mafia kinda vibe that Amano gave off, which is fun. He’s still very serious about training Tsuna, molding him to be the best boss that he can be, and he takes good care of Tsuna’s circle. No matter how useful or important in the grand scheme of things someone may or may not be to the Vongola 10, he will look out for them and ensure they’re okay because that’s what Tsuna would want.

I think that was handled well in that thread, especially with how it was Reborn that was giving Gokudera the warning to treat her well and to not do something stupid, else he’ll regret it. Tsuna of course cares for his friends and would exact revenge should anything happen to any of them, but he’s also not the one to openly and so bluntly threaten/warn someone if they hadn’t given any reason to make him be wary of them. Out of fighting mode, he does usually retain the passive attitude, so he wouldn’t have been the one to give a warning, but Reborn who knows him well and knows his stance was the one to issue the warning.

It may seem like a minor detail, but it’s very in line with their dynamic. Not sure if you did it that way on purpose or not, but I liked that touch for that reason. Him walking off right after that warning/threat was also just very like him. It feels more poignant when you threaten and then leave. It’s a more lasting impression that way, I feel as it gives the feel of ‘I’m done here so I am just going to go regardless of how you may be feeling at the moment. It gives very little in the ways of showing Gokudera if his answer was satisfactory or not, gives everyone in the room little time to process the exchange between the two as he just leaves them- which is a lowkey power move. Shows who has the upper hand as he’s the one who chose to end the conversation right then and there and no one could argue against him. No one tried to make him stay or anything.

That shows just how much respect he commands within the Vongola 10 and how strong an influence he is. He did more of the talking than Tsuna did perhaps, given the way that the thread was structured at the time, which would lead me to believe that perhaps this was a lil show for Tsuna to show him how to handle such situations like these moving forwards. To Gokudera’s point, it would be a show of that ‘he may be a tutor, but he commands a lot of sway within the Vongola 10. He is able to dictate the conversation and help with the decision-making. Tsuna hasn’t argued against him or anything, so it shows how much trust he has in Reborn and that is a well-orchestrated and silent display of their dynamic.

It's in the action and the words that really spell out how you view the dynamic between the two and I think it’s a pretty good fit for how they are in canon. I mean, whether or not these were conscious decisions or were coincidental circumstance is irrelevant. Either way, it worked out well and is a very convincing portrayal. Look at me, sometimes I go off by puuuureee instinct and there’s nothing wrong with that.
