The Tiefling Bachelors Taking Care of Sick! Reader Getting Treatment
A/N: This was sitting in my drafts, finished months ago, but I guess I never posted it? Oh well, it’s here now!
No one asked for this but it came to me as I was getting infused the other day. I really wanted Zevlor to manifest out of thin air and hold my hand  😔. Anyway, without further ado… Here we go!
Characters: Dammon/Reader; Rolan/Reader; Zevlor/Reader
Word Count: 1.1k
TW: Brief discussions of illness, some fantasy medical talk
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Dammon-
Dammon is probably the most fussy of the trio. He’s bumbling around the tent, ensuring you have enough blankets and water. Or do you want tea? Juice? Whatever it is, love, name it and he will fetch it for you.
He means to be helpful although his nervous waiting on you does create an air of anxiety in the room.
If he gets too manic, the healers have to send him out on an ‘errand’, so that he can collect his nerves and so you have time to yourself.
When he returns, Dammon is much calmer, having been cornered and given a pep talk by one of the elder tieflings or your companions outside.
He’ll sit across from you, and distract you by showing you his latest outlines/blueprints for swords and lathes and such.
If you’re particularly stressed, or truly not feeling well due to the side-effects of the treatment, he might even show you his jewelry designs. Dammon was, of course, planning to give them to you as a present after you’d finished your treatment, but in the meantime, he’d like you to keep them in mind to have something forward to look to.
If you’re sleepy, he’ll just stay at your side while you rest, sketching in his book or making idle chats with the healer.
Dammon excels at ‘parallel play’ kind of dates. He quite enjoys it when the two of you are each doing their respective thing within a shared space. He’s more than comfortable amusing himself while you just chill out right next to him.
Of course, before you leave, he asks the healers a million questions, scrambling down all their answers. How long will this last? What side effects should you look out for? What happens if things get worse? He wants to be prepared after they take their leave, and he sees it as his responsibility to take care of you as you recuperate.
He’s really so sweet, like a little puppy dog. He’s not always the most helpful, and he has a tendency to get in the way, but his efforts never fail to lift your spirits at the end of the day.
Tumblr media
Rolan-
Rolan is such a stickler for being an oppositional brat all the time. He gives everyone around him whiplash by turning into the most overbearing parental figure. You’d think he’d been possessed if it wasn’t for that trademark smirk of his.
He’s constantly making you drink. No, he doesn’t care that you’re not thirsty, the healer said to stay hydrated throughout the process. And no, he doesn’t care that it means you have to get up to pee every 15 minutes. Urinary frequency is a small price to pay! Now be a good patient and drink your chamomile tea without any more complaining, yeah?
He watches the healers like a hawk, mentally recording their every word/move. He’s not a cleric or druid, but that doesn’t mean he’s entirely naive to healing magic. He wants to make sure whatever spells or potions you’re being given are up to his standard.
And if the healing isn’t magical in nature... Oh boy, he’s going to be even more of a pill about it. He still hovers of course. But he also makes the occasional ‘helpful’ suggestion like: ‘I know a spell that could do that faster’, ‘Herbs are nothing compared to the power of the Weave’. The healers just roll their eyes and work around him.
If he gets really grouchy, you’re gonna have to put him in a time-out. If not for your sake, then for the poor healers who are just trying to do their job. Rolan argues for a moment, but ultimately agrees, leaving to gather himself.
When he comes back you can tell either Cal or Lia have spoken some sense into him, since he’s calmed down a bit. Rolan will sit with you, read to you, hold your hand if you beg ask, he might even perform a few tricks for you if you’re feeling up to it.
He ushers the healers away as soon as they're done, wanting to just be alone with you. He puts up a tough exterior, but deep down he’s afraid. He cares for you so much. You, Cal, and Lia are his family, he feels it's his job to protect you, but try as he might he cannot protect you from your illnesses, and that hurts him deeply.
You’ll need to comfort him once all this is all over. It’s as much an ordeal for him as it is for you.
Tumblr media
Zevlor-
Zevlor is a worry-wart, bless his old paladin heart. His mind is always racing with endless possibilities- about the tieflings, about the grove, about you… It can be a lot for the commander to handle.
But because Zevlor is a paladin and former hellrider, he has a good amount of experience working under pressure. He knows how to keep a level head and act on what is good for those around him, unlike what seems easiest to accomplish.
He’s a very disciplined man, and he tries to get that discipline extended to you as you heal. He sets up a regime, for diet, exercise, and socializing catered especially to your needs and current abilities. He wants you to utilize this time to maximize your healing, and just let yourself trust that you are doing all you can to take care of yourself.
He trusts the healers implicitly, knowing their expertise is much better suited to you and your current priorities. He’ll cater his regime around their recommendations, taking into accommodation your current feelings/moods of course.
He writes out instructions for you to read while he’s away, busy tending to his duties. In the event he’s especially worried about watching over you, he’ll send Tilly or another one of his soldiers to check in on you periodically.
Zevlor would love nothing more than to spend the entire day with you, keeping you safe in his embrace, but he’s wise enough to understand that even amidst these kinds of things, life must go on. He cannot abandon his duties as leader and you cannot abandon your life.
Zevlor tries to maintain the status quo as best as possible, he doesn’t want your illness and treatments to entirely define your life, just as he wishes Elterel will not solely define his.
Once all is said and done, he comes to find you, a warm broth in his hands. He settles down next to you as you sip your meal slowly, his tail coiling around your waist keeping you close to him. He doesn’t say anything, and neither do you, you don’t need to. It’s clear to you what’s in Zevlor’s heart.
The two of you just sit silently together, enjoying each other's company, as you brace yourselves for yet another new dawn.

Could we get headcanons for how would it be being Team Craig beloved adopted child? Like- idk- reader is this sweet kid who wants everyone to be happy and then Craig and Those guys are like- the protective parents while Clyde is reader's adorkable big brother 😱
craig and those guys adopting a sweet reader who acts like their kid/little sibling; platonic headcanons
includes: craig, clyde, tolkien, jimmy, and tweek
A/N: i know tweek technically isn't apart of catg, but since he often is in fanon i decided to add him!! people r always debating whether jimmy or tweek is in craigs gang but why not both!!!!!!
personally i see tweek as the butters of catg. like he's there sometimes but not all the time ykwim
Tumblr media
whenever craig and tweek get into a dispute it's like watching your parents argue
despite you being the same age as tolkien, your parents often leave you with him as your babysitter (your parents love him to death) and you two always end up playing games and eating snacks
they're kind of. confused about you. like craig might treat you like butters at first but gets berated by the rest for it once they all realized ur actually cool and not stuck-up
jimmy ruffles your hair and treats you like you're his little sibling, and goes 'oooooo' and asks constant questions if you have a crush on someone
if you're shorter than tweek he leans on your shoulder or head, because he knows it pisses you off. then he giggles deviously about it
craig is kind of. always trying to get your evil side out. like he's completely convinced you're not 100% angel and he tries to annoy you to get you to get angry
u and clyde hang out a lot. like you're always at each other's houses, people at school started to actually think you two were related
lots of video game nights. you all come to someones house (usually tolkiens because he's loaded) and play video games on the couch and in his room all night long. also lots of sleepovers
i feel like when ur choosing teams for a sport or a game, some of them are begging for you on their team and some of them are begging that you aren't on their team
jimmy, tolkien, and clyde want u on their team. craig does not. he doesn't because he thinks u suck (he doesn't mean it, he just wants to be a dick. unless you actually do suck)
with tweek it depends. like he might agree with craig and he might not. it really depends on what the thing you're doing is
clyde leans on your shoulder when you two are standing in the halls with a smug look on his face (he wants to embarrass you)
tolkien (and sometimes jimmy) always help you with studying and homework. like they'll teach you the entire subject and make sure you're prepared for the test
jimmy cracks (un)funny jokes to embarrass you in front of your friends
they get all pissy if someones annoying you. craig in particular is not afraid to get physical if you're getting bullied or something. he'll never admit it though
tweek likes to annoy you, but he's also probably one of the more sentimental ones (next to tolkien and jimmy). like he'll be there for you emotionally and stuff, even though he isn't always the best with feelings
jimmy is very encouraging. like if you're down or anxious about something he'll listen intently and give you the most motivational pep talk you've ever heard. he cares a lot and shows it with quality time and just being there!!!
tolkien is very good at listening. he might not understand everything you're going through, but he tries very hard to hear you out and give advice. he also reassures you that he's always there for you
craig isn't the best at showing his own emotions in the first place, so he's kinda. panicky if you're sad. he's learned a lot from tweek though, and will listen closely and try to validate what you say.
clyde doesn't always understand, but he tries. he'll listen to you talk and gives shitty advice, and is generally kinda knuckle-headed. he genuinely cares though
craig tells you about his silly little interests, and like forces you to play with stripe. he also rants to you about space and shit and you always fall asleep to it
whenever everyone falls asleep in the living room while playing video games, you're the one left awake, and you can't help but feel immense happiness at how peaceful they look.

Stop it, that fic was everything! My favourite one so far! I'm the one who did the back and forth with you over that scenario so this is gonna be a long ramble 😂
'Go and sleep with your kid' ARE YOU KIDDING ME 💔😭😭 broke my heart just picturing Leah and Jordan in bed clinging to Bug who's none the wiser, that night is definitely filled with the two of them constantly reassuring each other that Bug is safe
Why did Bug crying for her blankie make me tear up?! Baby girl had no clue just how terrifying that situation was 💔
Leah losing it and getting physical was heartbreaking but satisfying because whoever that was deserved it and she's protecting her baby but you know just how much fear is driving her in that moment
Jordan being aware but not completely aware, just constantly saying 'you're okay, mummy's here' is so gut wrenching 😭
Them both going into the instinctive mama bear modes, Jordan with comfort and Leah with confront and protect! Both different styles that kinda reflect their parenting styles (Jordan giving hugs no matter what and Leah being a bit more firm and to the point)
Millie being the one to try and pull Leah away (LOVE the implication of try in the fic, nothing can stop an angry and scared mama when it comes to protecting their baby) and the fact that not even the reminder of potentially being banned is moving Leah, nothing gets through to her until Jordan speaks 😭
Leah holding Bug AND Jordan close is such a perfect touch, sounds like Leah is trying to keep her whole family in her arms 💔 wanting to protect both of them because someone has just done something she hadn't even thought about potentially happening
Heartbreaking how this happened (I'm assuming) at Meadow Park, the home of the Arsenal women. The place where Leah and Jordan met, where they went from friends to girlfriends. Where they've been raising their baby girl but also where the scariest thing has happened. Such a bittersweet taste left in my mouth at the thought
Love how quickly everyone sprung into action, Jordan clocking it straight away and darting over, Leah barely having time to realise what's happening before she's following Jordan and everyone at Arsenal AND Chelsea darting over
The check up on Bug, logically they know the time between Bug being picked up and Jordan getting there would have had slim chances of anything happening to her but the reassurance was what they needed to finally feel like they can retract their claws in a sense
I LOVE LOVE LOVE that Bug slept in Jordan's arms after, I feel like in that moment Jordan needed to hold and know that Bug was okay but Leah needed to know that both of her girls were okay hence her holding them both earlier and watching over them later
Leah's little watery eyes and trembling voice once it finally sinks in what's happened, love that it was Kim's pep talk that let her put her guard down a bit to fully feel what's just happened
Once again, I love Kim's little reminder at the end to them that Bug is safe and for them to just forget about any football training, diets or balanced meals for their careers and anything outside of the four walls of their house. Just to hold their little one and soak in the moment of their little family being safe and together 😭❤️
Truly loved what you did with our ideas and am so glad I rambled with you that day because its given me this fic 😭😭 thank you so much!!
I'm so glad you enjoyed everything!
Bug has no idea what's just happened to her while Jordan and Leah have been stressed since it happened. She has no idea why she's being let into their bed or why they're holding her so much but she doesn't mind at all
Jordan absolutely couldn't make sense of what had just happened, not truly so she clung to the only thing she could, which was Bug and tried to settle her own feelings as she settled Bug.
It absolutely happened at Meadow Park as well which is meant to be a safe space for Bug but ended up not being is the most bittersweet part of it all because Bug has no reason to fear anything there which is part of the reason she just went up to the fans.
Bug has no reason to fear anyone and Leah and Jordan didn't think she had to fear anyone too.

Friendly Neighborhood Criminals Part 5
Fandom: Sanders Sides
Pairings: platonic Patton/Dark Sides
Summary: Patton has never celebrated Halloween before. His new friends find this unacceptable. Que spooky shenanigans.
Ao3 Link: click here
Part 1, Part 2, Part 3, Part 4
A/N: DnDeceit (Hazgarn) asked for Halloween shenanigans. I am here to deliver.
Also, since it will probably never come up in the story specifically, Patton is 20, Virgil 25, Remus 31, and Janus 36.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"Turn to the left. Little more. Okay, hold on."
Brush bristles graze across Patton's cheekbone up into his temple. It's a tickle he's gotten used to over the past thirty minutes or so, but reflexively he giggles now and then. It's like eyelashes kissing his skin in little butterfly flutters! So light and calming.
Virgil sits with him on Patton's bed, both of them facing each other. He works with his tongue caught between his teeth in concentration. Colorful palettes of blushes and eyeshadow dominate the space around them, courtesy of Virgil's personal collection. Some of it dusted across Patton's sheets, despite Virgil's best efforts, but Patton assured him that it was part of the fun! There's no way Patton can be upset with Virgil anyway. Not after he's graciously volunteered to do Patton's Halloween makeup!
Virgil's own under eye shadow has been replaced this evening. The eyes are still smokey, yet softer in a blend of purple and silver highlights. Tiny stars and moons are painstakingly painted around his brows and the corners of his eyes, accentuated by glued on rhinestones. Together with his matte, plumb lipstick, Virgil's face looks ethereally beautiful.
He still hasn't told Patton what his costume is. Patton keeps guessing and Virgil gives a secretive smile without letting on either way.
"Is it an anime magical girl?"
"Do I look like I could pull off being a magical girl?"
"I think you could pull off anything, Virge. You're very pretty."
"Aww, it's cute that you think compliments will work on me."
And Patton giggles again just because he's happy. Lately, he and Virgil have been texting and hanging out a lot. He's closer to Patton age-wise, so it's easier to connect on that front. More than that, Virgil possesses a quiet passion about him that is borne from more than a mere desire to produce art. It extends to his friends' well-being with an uncanny attention for detail. Patton has seen it in the way that he worries for Remus and Janus and the gruff ways he checks in on them to make sure they're taking care of themselves.
It's a more unrefined version of the way Janus goes about taking care of people, but no less endearing. Patton wonders if Virgil is conscious of emulating him, if that's where he's learned it. Janus is downright parental, always feeding them and reminding them to rest. Watching them with eyes that know more than what his boys tell him and able to glean the sources of their struggles without them ever having to voice them. It's different than Patton's own parents...
Remus, on the other hand, is akin to a bold big brother in his protective instincts. Constantly teasing, unerring in his acts of affection. Patton has learned in large part to Remus's efforts that touches are not a warning to impending punishment, or that they have to hurt. Remus gives swaddling hugs and cuddles that make you feel safe, and Patton has steadily become addicted to them.
Virgil though, he reminds Patton of his friend Valerie, how they were back in high school. In those days, Patton could forget for a while about home and the fear that waited for him there at the end of each day. When they were together, they could talk about anything they wanted, whether it be dreams or pep rallies or theater club or places they wanted to go. It brought peace of mind and Patton is forever grateful to her.
And now, Patton feels the same about Virgil. He hasn't described his feelings to him yet, not knowing if Virgil feels the same. Also, he doesn't know if he's allowed to have two best-friends. Valerie is still close in his heart, and they text or call most days. But now he's kind of doing the same thing with Virgil, and it feels so easy, and Virgil is so different than Valerie or Patton in the most wonderful way! What is he to do? This is untreked territory!
If a person can have two best friends, Patton would choose Virgil.
"I think that's it. Look forward for me," Virgil commands, sitting down the brush. Patton follows his instruction and Virgil leans from side to side to check the symmetry.
"I'm sure it looks wonderful," Patton insists. "You're really talented."
"Still not telling you."
A laugh tumbles out, care-free. "I wasn't trying that time! Promise! I really mean it, Virge."
"Well, I'm glad that you think that then."
Patton shakes his head. He has found that Virgil struggles when accepting compliments. It's not so...dissimilar from his own predicament. Patton hopes that helping Virgil may help himself one day. Besides, Virgil deserves all the compliments!
"Wanna take a look?" Virgil holds out a handheld mirror. Patton takes it and lets out a gust of breath at viewing the final product. "Wow, Virge. This is... This is just, wow."
Patton barely recognizes himself. The sockets of his eyes are caverns that stretch out into hatching lines, like shadowy pieces of hay. Stitch-work decorates his lips and travels farther than the corners of his mouth. And his cheeks appear concave with the shade of blush, very gaunt.
He looks like a spooky scarecrow!
"You like it?" Virgil asks hesitantly.
Patton sits down the mirror. "Like it? I love it! I could crow all day about it!"
Virgil groans, "What have I done?"
Patton can't wait to put on the rest of his scarecrow costume.
***
Virgil drives them back to the lair to meet up with Remus and so that he can change into his own costume. Patton jaunts into the apartment with a pep to his step, enjoying hearing his costume swish with the sound of hay.
Remus sits/lays on the couch upside down. He's wearing a full-body black and red spandex costume like a superhero but without a mask. There's no make up on his face, but the blood rushes to his face something fierce.
"Why are you guys walking on the ceiling?" Remus asks.
Virgil snorts and knocks him gently in the shoulder with a foot. "Why are you still sulking?"
"I'm not sulking. If anyone sulks, it's you, Incredible Sulk. Mother Sulker. King of the Sulks."
"Yeah, you're still sulking."
"You're sulking?" Patton asks. He kneels down on Remus's other side in concern.
Remus blows a raspberry at Virgil, but answers Patton. "No, I just said I'm not sulking. This is me, not sulking."
"I feel like we've said that word so much that it's not a word anymore," Virgil grimaces. At Patton's questioning look, Virgil explains, "Remus is mad because me and Janus vetoed his costume choice."
"Why? What's wrong with it? It looks fine on him."
"Not this one. He wanted to dress up as Woody from 'Toy Story'."
"Oh, what's wrong with that? That seems pretty wholesome."
"Two words: assless chaps."
"I... I... I'm afraid to ask what those are."
"Please don't. Please just stay pure."
Remus harrumphs to get the attention back on him. "I wanted to get to say 'There's a snake in my butt!' I had a snake prepared and everything!"
"Please, for the love of God, don't explain further than that. I'm gonna go get dressed now, so can you keep Patton company– without corrupting his mind?"
Remus glances over Patton in consideration. "But he looks so corruptible."
"Your funeral if Janus finds out," Virgil says and disappears down the hallway.
Patton remains sitting with Remus who seems unaware that his head is turning into a tomato. He's starting to resemble his costume.
Spurred on by his good mood, Patton initiates physical contact in hopes of comforting him. It's something he's been shy about and only managed with Remus so far, but he's getting better! He pats at Remus's arm.
"If it makes you feel any better, I like this costume. You look super cool."
"Yeah, I do," Remus agrees begrudgingly. "I still wanted to show off my ass, so Deadpool seemed like a good runner up. He's like, my spirit animal, you know? We're ass brothers."
Patton giggles at the zany train of thought. He laughs harder when Remus asks if he'd like a demonstration of how his butt looks in his costume. Remus springs up and strikes a hip-cocking pose, smacking his booty to make it jiggle.
"I know what you're thinking," Remus says, faux-serious. "But I assure you, this dump truck is all natural."
Patton hums thoughtfully, "Yeah, my butt's just filled with hay."
Patton isn't exactly sure why Remus lays on the ground crying with laughter for the next several minutes, but he's incredibly proud all the same.
Virgil walks out in a flowy witch costume complete with crooked pointy hat and buckled boots. When he finds Remus still cackling, he sighs and sweeps at him with his broom until the man can pull himself together.
***
The next step is to pick up Janus.
Patton sits jittery in the backseat of the car. He sings softly along to the radio to the few songs that sound familiar. Remus attempts several times to commandeer the radio only for Virgil to slap his hands every time.
"Driver picks music."
"Then let me drive!"
"Never in a thousand years."
And on they banter over the music. Virgil has always been the driver, and Patton has learned from context that Remus is not allowed to drive anything other than his motorcycle. Even then, the others refuse to ride on the motorcycle with him. Patton has considered riding again with Remus, not remembering much from that one night a couple of months ago when Remus picked him up. Remus has offered too, several times in fact, but Janus and Virgil seem to think it's a death sentence.
They're in the same maroon car as always. Patton thinks that it's Janus's car but Virgil is his designated driver. In the context of them being criminals, Patton has daydreamed Virgil in high-speed chases. But whenever Patton's in the car, Virgil never goes over the speed limit and stops at every red light.
Coming out of his musings, Patton glances out the window to see that they're cruising through a lovely suburban neighborhood. The car slows and pulls up to a one-story house, not overly large. The white garage and front door stand out against the cobalt blue siding. White trim and a white banister around the front porch. Black shingles interrupted by a chimney. A green line of bushes hedge around the side.
It's more unassuming than Patton would have imagined for someone like Janus.
A tall lady in a floor-length white dress and wide brimmed black hat exits the front door and clicks down the driveway in dangerously high pearly heels. Patton blinks and tightens his grip on his seat belt as the unknown woman opens the back door to slide into the car.
Remus wolf whistles. "How much would I have to pay for you to step on me?"
"Honey, I'm priceless," the lady says in Janus's voice.
Patton is suddenly extremely aware that this is not a lady but Janus in costume. His face burns scarlet, and he holds his cheeks in embarrassment.
Janus notices immediately and turns to him. "Everything alright, dear? Your costume is very cute, by the way. Very spooky."
"I didn't realize that was you!" Patton admits. He admires the delicate silk dress. It's long sleeved and Janus's usual yellow gloves are replaced with black fitted lace ones. There's a large black rose sewn into the collar off to one side. And Janus's makeup is pristine in pale foundation, false eyelashes, and fire truck red lipstick.
Janus smiles demurely. "I suppose that's the point of costumes."
"You look really good. I didn't think–" Patton cuts himself off before he says something terribly offensive. Janus cocks a fine eyebrow and sees through him anyway.
"You didn't think I would wear a dress?"
"I... yes? Maybe? I'm sorry."
"You're forgiven. I do tend to wear suits most of the time. I save drag for special occasions."
"There's never a wrong time to dress in drag," Virgil pipes up.
"What's drag?" Patton asks.
There's a moment where they all stare at him, making Patton fear that he said something stupid. But then Remus says, "Okay, we are so watching 'Ru Paul's Drag Race' when we get back home."
Janus gives the most gleeful grin that Patton has ever seen him wear. "Patton, darling, we are going to open up your whole world."
***
Outside the city limits, they reach a sprawling field of pumpkins. Dozens of parents and children and couples and groups of teens in costumes swarm around the pumpkin patch. A line of kiddos mill about at a face-painting booth. Another area offers apple bopping and horseshoe tosses. Further on, tables are set up with various fall themed baked goods for sale.
It's like an October fairytale, or a Halloween Hallmark movie.
"There's so many!" Patton exclaims, gazing out at the ocean of orange vegetables. His fingers press against the car window, and he can hardly drink in one sight before turning to the next.
When the car is put in park, Patton wastes no time in launching out of the car. The evening is crisp and smoke wafts in the wind. There must be a fire pit somewhere nearby. Patton jumps up and down, throwing his arms out wide.
Remus comes over to jump beside him, matching his energy. "Ready to smash some pumpkins, Pattycake?"
"Let's smash all the pumpkins!" Patton squeals, delirious in his excitement.
"But the farmers worked so hard for their bounty," Janus chides. "Maybe limit it to a handful?"
"An-ar-chy! An-ar-chy!" Virgil starts cheering, and well, Janus can't stop the rampant rebellion after that.
Janus watches the three of them run off together, shaking his head with a put-upon sigh. He's not going to spoil their spirits, but he sure as hell is not chasing after them in six-inch pumps through the grass.
A tugging at Janus's skirt pulls his attention downwards. Beside his legs, a little girl in a bumblebee costume gazes up at him imploringly.
"Do you know where the bathroom is?"
Someone save him.
Patton, Virgil, and Remus do not in fact destroy pumpkins. They purchase a few and carry them over to the carving station that's set up. Patton scrutinizes the carving knife, and Virgil takes the blade before he can reach for it and hacks his open for him.
"It's all stringy!" Patton gasps after the top is removed. He reaches in and grabs a handful of pumpkin mixed with pale seeds.
"Guts! Glorious guts everywhere!" Remus whoops as he tosses his pumpkin bits into the air to land back on him in a mess.
"Ay, watch it," Virgil snaps and leans out of the splash zone. Patton, feeling mischievous, picks up a clump of pumpkin and drapes it over Virgil's shoulder. Virgil notices immediately of course and gives him an unimpressed look. "Really, Pat?"
Patton giggles, "I'm just having a gourd time."
The pumpkins are emptied and the real carving can begin. Patton's is a mishappen silly face while Virgil forgoes a face at all. Instead, he works to shape a couple of bats flying over a haunted house. Remus gets halfway through his before Virgil spies what he's making and unceremoniously smashes his pumpkin.
"This is a family friendly event," Virgil warns him.
"Prude."
"I'm not letting you get us kicked out. Think of the child."
"What?" Patton pops his head up. "Where's Janus by the way?"
They eventually spot Janus whiling the time away sitting on a rectangular hay bale. There's a group of kids piled around him in a semi-circle on the ground, listening to him tell scary stories. People seem to be under the impression that he works for the event.
Remus goes to get another pumpkin. Not to carve but to play with the guts again. Patton finishes his carving and does another silly face on Remus's second pumpkin. Virgil finishes his work of art and Patton fawns over it so much that Virgil offers for him to keep it. He's a little startled by the strength of the hug Patton gives him.
***
Following the pumpkin patch, their next stop is a haunted house. It's not a legitimate haunted house, thankfully. It's an attraction where people pay to go through dark hallways and be jump scared by workers dressed in costumes. By the time they arrive, Patton is struck by one important detail.
"How dark do you think it is in there?" Patton asks.
They're standing in line to wait for their turn to enter. It's a popular place with no small budget. There are large pieces of ghosts and ghouls lit up by spotlights. Fog billows out from machines. A few workers dressed in costume walk out from behind curtains now and then to up the anticipation. Patrons who have already gone through come back around to line up again.
"I've never been to one myself," Janus admits, looking to the others for an answer.
Remus waves his hand sideways in the air, noncommittal, "Eh, mostly dark? It depends. In some areas, there can be flashing light or low light. Like a static-y TV or flickering bulbs."
"If it was pitch black, it'd be a tripping hazard," Virgil points out. "Plus, you wouldn't be able to see the monsters trying to scare you. Not that you'll see all of them. They'll try to scare you with sound too."
"Still feeling up to it?" Janus questions Patton. "There's no shame if you want to back out now."
"Are you just saying that because you want to wimp out?" Remus suggests with a smirk.
Janus scoffs, "I don't feel fear."
"You guys already bought the tickets though," Patton says hesitantly. Then, pulling himself up in his overalls, he huffs out air in determination. "Besides, this will be fun! I want to do this with you guys."
If he could sleep in his apartment with a nightlight, he could do this. And he would have the others with him. He could be brave, with them.
Janus scoops up his hand and a bit of the gusto flees him. In its place is warmth and stability.
"If it gets too much, just take my hand, alright?"
The warmth spreads to Patton's cheeks. He hums out a positive and smiles. He scoots a bit closer, and Janus doesn't release his hand so Patton doesn't either.
Remus shows the door attendant their online tickets from his phone, and they all get slapped with wristbands. There are last minute reminders, assurances that the workers are not allowed to touch them and warnings that some of the lights may cause seizures. Patton doesn't think he'll have a problem with the lights, and it's a huge relief that no strangers will be touching him.
In they go into the dark and Patton braces himself by gripping Janus's hand tighter. They bring up the rear with Remus and Virgil leading the pack.
There are whispered voices and random shouts from afar. A growl sounds behind them but when Patton twists around, there's nothing there.
The first major room they come to is not accessible. It's behind a rusty chain link fence. Patton can peek inside to see in the red glow of an exit sign that it's similar to a hospital scene. A lone wheelchair sits empty in the middle and slowly starts rolling about a foot on its own.
"The ghosts of patients' past," Remus murmurs.
Then a figure slams into the fence, causing them all to step back. It's a bloodied nurse, snarling at them.
"Oh, that's such a good costume!" Patton applauds, literally clapping. "The blood looks so real!"
"Thanksssss," the nurse hisses and crawls back down into her hiding spot.
"Not scared yet, Pat?" Virgil asks skeptically.
Patton grins. "This is fun! Let's keep going!"
Onward they walk through more hallways and find more rooms. There's a little living room area where a figure sits in front of a TV illuminated in static. Patton approaches to get a better look and the person comes alive. A zombie with a knife stuck in its chest jumps up and roars at Patton.
Peals of laughter escape Patton even as Janus flinches back. "Ahh, you got me good!"
And the next room features a torture chamber. A muscled person wearing an executioner's hood stands by a crude operating table with a half-covered body.
"Spin the wheel," a deep, gravelly voice beckons and the man points at a stained standing wheel. It features sections labeled as different body parts.
"Ooh, points for interactive," Virgil praises. "Waddya say, Pat? Wanna spin to win?"
"Can I?!" Patton exudes pure enthusiasm and bounces up beside the wheel.
"Aren't you a little too eager?" Janus cautions.
Remus shushes him. "Do your worst, Pattycake!"
Patton let's go of Janus's hand long enough to throw his weight into a spin. It ticks rapidly as it spins and spins until finally landing on HAND.
The executioner laughs menacingly and saws off a hand at the wrist. Red liquid spurts out and an echoing scream comes from all around them as if there are built in speakers. It's gruesome and Janus wrinkles his nose at it. Remus chuckles when the executioner takes the dismembered hand and waves it at them.
"I gotta hand it to these guys, they really go all out," Patton says as they continue down the hall.
"Hand, ha ha," Virgil mock laughs.
Patton lights up, "Oh! Oh! That was a pun, wasn't it? I made a pun!"
"Don't pretend that wasn't intentional."
"But it wasn't, I swear! Oh my goodness!" Patton giggles beside himself, so caught up in his own unexpected pun that he misses the scary ghost lady sneaking up behind them to screech in their ears.
Janus full on shrieks. He stumbles with Patton and backs them away, cursing while Patton is still giggling. The ghost lady cackles and drifts behind a curtain, gone from sight.
Remus and Virgil are doubled over themselves, and Patton realizes they are laughing at Janus.
"Oh my god, you're such a sissy!" Remus grabs onto Virgil to keep from falling over. "I'm gonna start calling you Hissy Sissy!"
Flustered, Janus deflects, "What are you talking about? That was Patton screaming, not me."
Virgil waves his hand at Patton. "Does he look scared in the slightest?"
Patton is in fact still grinning. "I'm just really happy to be here."
Remus claps a hand on Patton's back. "Who knew our little puffball would have balls of steel?"
Patton doesn't really. He's surrounded by friends in a haunted house full of people who worked really hard on their costumes and scare tactics and set designs. These are employees and devotees of Halloween who have come together in the spirit of the season. How could Patton find any of that scary?
The things he's truly afraid of, the real scary bits...he left that behind him.

END NOTES
Here are some fun facts about this chapter that I simply could not find a way to work in naturally but still wanted to share.
1. Patton's first costume idea was to dress up as Stitch from Lilo and Stitch. But when Virgil offered to do his makeup, they kind of spiraled into different ideas until Patton landed on scarecrow. If Patton instead went ahead as Stitch, Janus wouldn't have been able to keep a straight face and would have thoroughly gushed about how cute Patton is and fawn over him. Patton would have been overwhelmed by the affection influx and started bawling his eyes out. Shame that didn't happen. :)
2. Janus is dressed up as Lady Dimetrescu from the horror game Resident Evil 8. It's very similar vibes to Thomas's photo shoot of Janus in a dress.
3. There's a pumpkin carving contest at the pumpkin patch. Virgil wins second place.
4. At the pumpkin patch, Janus improvises all the scary stories he's telling the children. It's mostly cautionary tales against society. He's also lowkey distraught to be at the center of attention for so many impressionable youths and keeps glancing to the others for help the entire time, but the others are like, "Eh, he's fine. Totally in his element."
5. Remus introduced Patton to magical girls anime. He started with Madoka Magica. If you don't know, it's an anime that subverts the genre and a girl gets decapitated in one of the first episodes. Patton is appalled but keeps watching because he desperately wants for there to be a happy ending.
6. At the haunted house attraction, Patton ends up leading Janus by the hand, much to Janus's embarrassment. In the background, Virgil gets jump scared so hard by an employee that he accidentally socks them in the face. In a panic, he and Remus drag their unconscious body into a random chair so it looks like the poor person is part of the set design. They quickly walk away like nothing happened. Janus sees it happen, but distracts Patton so he's none the wiser.
7. They all go to waffle house afterwards for dinner. Remus takes pictures with a bunch of people who think he makes a great Deadpool. Virgil chugs down an entire milkshake on a dare. He regrets it later. Patton makes a smiley face out of his waffle pieces and bacon. Nobody comments on it, but it's really precious. Patton does it because he's remembering the pumpkin carving fondly.
8. Finally, they all go back to the lair, pile on the couch, and watch TV while binge-eating tons of candy. They shove piles of candy at Patton just to see him go wide eyed. When Patton protests, Virgil empties a whole bag by pouring it on him. They end up watching scary movies and save Ru Paul's for another day. When they do eventually get Patton to watch Ru Paul's, it is a very enlightening experience for him.
9. Patton passes out during the movie marathon. It's the first time that he spends the night outside of his apartment, and that boy is conked the fuck out in a sugar crash. Remus challenges himself to roll Patton up in a blanket burrito. Patton never wakes up, even when Remus picks his cocooned form up, holds him to his chest, and starts doing his best impression of Golem, "My precioussss."
10. And if you made it this far, you get to find out that while Remus is busy swaddling the baby, Janus and Virgil have a cryptic conversation about their boss. Patton never asked them why they broke into his apartment, but it doesn't matter. It's a waiting game, and they fear whether Patton will come out intact when the other shoe drops.

a/n: The hate comments in this fic do not reflect my opinion on “Chubby” people, I mean no offence by these I was just thinking of comments I (as a chubby person myself) would hate to see about myself. You’re all beautiful and I love you all 😘.

“Joong, you’ll do great stop worrying yourself.” You whisper to Hongjoong patting his shoulder. You could feel the tension he was holding and the way he stared off into space you knew he was over thinking every tiny thing.
“I know, but I guess I need to be prepared for the worst.” He sighs before you lightly slap his arm.
“Hey, the worst case scenario with you guys is you kill it on stage and blow everyone away like you always do, so stop panicking you’ve been doing this long enough to know how amazing you all are.” He can’t help but smile and give you a loving look as you hype him and the group up, you’d always been the same.
You’ve known Hongjoong since you were both kids, your parents being friends and you lived close to each other so that meant you spent almost every day together. Getting older you went to the same high school and even then, when you were both in different classes and made other friends you were both inseparable to the point it was talk amongst your friends that you’d both make a cute couple. For years you both shrugged it off but Hongjoong was more reluctant to correct them that you were just friends, deep down he wanted it to be true, for you to be his but he would never risk ruining what the two of you have.
Still standing at the side of the stage he thinks back to his trainee days. The day he got accepted he was so scared to tell you, scared he’d not see you as much if at all, losing you was what terrified him the most but when you cheered him on and took him out to celebrate it was like a weight was lifted off his shoulders. You were with him every step of the way through his trainee days. He’d call you the morning of an evaluation for a pep talk, he’d call you again to tell you how it went and you were always the one who he turned to for a shoulder to cry on when everything was getting to be too much.
Turning to look at you he’s immensely grateful you talked him out of giving up that night he turned up at your place, tear stained cheeks ready to throw in the towel and get a normal 9-5 job and give up everything he dreamed of, but there you were, the comfort that delivered some hard truths and he always feels he owes everything he has today to you.
“Guys you’re on in 1 minute!” The stage director calls out pulling Hongjoong from his thoughts.
“Deep breath.” You say making him look at you as you take some deep breaths with him. “You got this.”
With a nod to you he hurries off to make sure the others are ready to go before they run out onto the stage and take their places. The only sound heard for a little while was the low murmurs of the crowd before the room erupted with energy, the Guerrilla track blaring from the speakers mixed with the screams and cheers of the crowd. part of you wished you were in the crowd to fully support the boys but then again you couldn’t complain about getting to watch them from the side of the stage, up close.
When the performance ends the boys take their bows and rush backstage again for a couple more minutes rest before the award is announced. One by one as they come past you you’re pulled left and right receiving warm sweaty hugs from everyone, Hongjoong being last his hug seems to last longer than everyone else’s and even when he’s done he still keeps you close.
“Well I guess it’s safe to say it’s obvious who’s getting the award today.” You beam at all of them but see Seonghwa and Jongho shaking their heads.
“I’m not getting my hopes up, if I keep telling myself we won’t get it then I can’t get disappointed.” Seonghwa says while Jongho nods in agreement clearly feeling the same. You get where he’s coming from but at the same time you wish he’d felt a bit more highly of what they do and from time to time expect the best outcome.
It’s time for the award to be announced and all groups and soloists take to the stage again. You could see from the way the boys hold themselves that their nervous but you have nothing but the utmost faith in them. The MC opens the envelope and finally announces Ateez’s win and you can’t help but scream, quickly covering you mouth afterwards, scared you’re being too loud. You’re buzzing with excitement and when they come back to you you’re tugged into a group hug.
“I knew you guys would do it.” You cheer, watching how they’re still literally jumping for joy.
“What would we do without our number one groupie.” San smiles giving you another hug while you grimace at the name.
“San you know I hate being called that.” You pout making him laugh patting you on the head in apology.
“Hey, do you guys want me to take a photo for you, you need to have a photo to remember Guerrilla's first win right?” They all nod and get into position, Jongho in the middle holding the award while the others all pick a pose. You snap a few photos with Hongjoong’s phone, letting them change their poses as they please before handing the phone back. The other disperse to grab something to snack on while they wait to leave but Hongjoong pulls you in close wrapping an arm around your shoulder.
“Joong what are you doing?” You giggle.
“Well I gotta get a photo with my best friend and number 1 fan now don’t I.” He says matter-of-factly pulling up his camera again and holding the award between you both and snapping a photo. Scrolling through the photos he smiles and picks out a few to post to Instagram, including the one of you.
“Joong are you sure you’re allowed to post that one?” You ask a little on edge not wanting him to get in trouble with management or the fans.
“It’s fine, everyone knows about you as it is, you know I talk about you all the time on my lives so you’re no secret.” He giggles pushing the post button.
“But they’ve never seen my face, are you sure you won’t get into trouble for that?”
“Y/n, it’s fine I promise you, I just want you to be part of the celebrations with us.” You smile when he nudges you, finally giving into him like you always do.
“Plus, you look cute so why not.” He smiles at you noting the light blush on your cheeks at his compliment before he heads off to find the others, ushering you to follow him.
The next morning you awoke with a small headache, maybe those drinks you had with the boys after the show weren’t really worth it, but at the same time you were grateful you didn’t have work. Rolling onto your side you reach over to your night stand to grab your phone, the light of your screen stinging your eyes for a moment before fading away back to a dull ache in your head.
Your phone was filled with Instagram notifications which you soon came to see were all on the post Hongjoong had posted the night before. You smile to yourself as you scroll through the photos, happy to see the boys feeling proud of themselves, then your eyes land on the photo of you and Hongjoong, your smile growing even more. You can’t help the butterflies you feel when you look at the photo, Hongjoong’s eyes practically sparkled as much as his smile and it warmed you up in ways nothing else could. You didn’t want to blame him for your impossibly high standards in men but how could you not, how could you settle for less that what he is and he does it all so effortlessly whereas for other men it would be considered a painful and tedious chore to go to the lengths he does for you. You can’t help but think he’s the reason you’ve been single for so long...well, that and your insecurity over how you look, but that was a whole other thing in itself.
You quickly take a screenshot of the photo and set it as your phone wallpaper before going back to Instagram. Your finger hovered over the comments button, you knew you shouldn’t read the comments, it was an unspoken rule, never look at the comment section unless you want to get hurt. But you look anyway.
“Congratulations!”
“We knew you could do it!”
“I love you.”
“KINGS!”
“Is that the famous y/n, she’s so pretty!”
“You’d make such a cute couple.”
“Ateez’s 9th member is so pretty.”
“Are they dating?”
“Please tell me they’re dating 😱.”
Those were just a few of the positive comments you came across all making you smile and some making you chuckle. You were starting to wonder what was so bad about the comment section, everything you was reading was so sweet, everyone congratulating the boys on their achievement, some spilling their hearts out to them and quite a few gushing over you and your friendship with Hongjoong. It was safe to say you were starting to get an ego boost, that was until you found them...the dreaded hate comments.
“So that’s y/n 😬.”
“Hongjoong didn’t tell us she was fat.”
“I didn’t know Hongjoong was into fat girls...each to their own I guess.”
“It’s a shame she’s fat, she’d be a lot prettier of she lost weight.”
You felt your heart sink as you read through the comments. Granted there were way more positive comments compared to the negative, but it’s true what they say, you could have 100 lovely comments and it only takes one to ruin it all. The hate comments hit your harder than you ever thought they would, those comments highlighted everything you were insecure about and now they were all you could think about.
Climbing out of bed you assess yourself in the mirror, granted your hair was a mess and you still had last nights makeup on, but that’s not what you were focusing on. Stripping down to just your underwear you were able to get the best view of your body without an oversized hoodie altering your silhouette. You were all for body positivity and loving yourself in your own skin but when you were met with your reflection you couldn’t help but feel disgusted by the person you were looking at. Turning your body in different angles you hoped there was one that didn’t make you look so awful, but nothing worked, you saw yourself being twice as big as you really were and you knew that was the case but it didn’t make you feel any better.
Letting out a sigh you look down and grab at your stomach, waist and hips, cringing even more as you could feel your skin fill your hands with each grip. Tears welled in your eyes as you brought them back to your reflection, the hate comments repeating over and over in your head to the point you couldn’t take it anymore, scurrying away from the mirror to hide yourself underneath a pair of sweatpants and one of your biggest hoodies.
You try to distract yourself as best you can, throwing on a movie and wrapping up under a blanket on the couch, you thought if your mind was being occupied by something else then you won’t think about the comments and it worked for a while until you saw Hongjoong’s name light up your phone screen as he called you. You hesitated to pick up for a moment but you answer anyway.
“Hi Joong.”
“Hey! We have another stage to do tomorrow so I just wanted to ask if you wanted to tag along again, we had a lot of fun with you around yesterday.” You felt awful, you could hear the excitement in his voice and you could picture the beaming smile that went with it but after your experience this morning you really didn’t feel up to it.
“I’d love to Joong but I can’t, I have a lot to do the next few days so I can’t make it I’m sorry.” You sigh glancing at your surroundings seeing how very not busy you were. He was quiet for a second on his side of the phone, his eyebrow quirking a little noting how you sounded rather off.
“No worries, I get that just make sure you eat today okay?” You felt a little sick at the thought of eating, given how you felt it was the last thing you wanted to do.
“O...Okay I will.”
“Good. I’ve got to rush off, gotta get some practice in ready for tomorrow, I’ll text you later.” You hum a response and say your goodbyes before hanging up. You felt a wave of guilt wash over you, you knew you shouldn’t lie to him like that but how were you going to be the good and supportive best friend you are if you can’t even pluck up the courage to look at your own reflection.
The negative thoughts were eating away at you, you looked back at the comment section reading through the nice ones to try to make yourself feel better, but as expected you kept stumbling upon the mean ones again and the more you scrolled the more you found. You were about to break down into tears until you heard a small knock at the door. Locking your phone and putting it to one side you got to your feet, blanket wrapped around your shoulders and headed towards the door. Opening the door your eyes are met with Hongjoong, his bright smile fading as he looks at you.
“Hey, what’s wrong, you look like you could use a hug.” His voice was thick with worry as he stepped into your home, his eyes never leaving yours watching as you shrug him off.
“I’m fine Joong, really.” But you didn’t sound convincing enough for him, he knew you too well to know when you were lying or covering up how you really felt.
“Coffee?” You ask trying to change the subject as quickly as you could. He nodded a yes and you rushed off to make the coffee while he made his way to your couch, you joining him shortly after.
“Y/n, please tell me what’s going on.” He persists.
“Joong everything is fine really, I’m just a bit...under the weather.” His hand comes out to touch your forehead trying to feel for a temperature.
“You’re not warm, even with that blanket around you, you feel fine, you can talk to me y/n you know that right?” You sigh at him, you know he’s never going to let it go unless you tell him.
“Do you think I’m fat?” His eyes widen and he slightly chokes on his coffee at your question before looking at you dumbfounded.
“What do you mean?
“Simple, do you think I’m fat?”
“Of course not why would you ask that?” He says setting his coffee down on the table and turning himself to face you fully.
“Next question.” you say deflecting his question. “Do you think my weight makes me ugly?”
“Y/n, don’t be stupid you’re not ugly in any way shape or form, what’s gotten into you?” You take in a long shaky breath before getting to your point.
“I saw the post you put up yesterday, the photos, and I stupidly decided to look through the comments, majority of them were so lovely and you really do have some of the best fans out there, they love you so much, but then I found some directed at me and...well...they weren’t that nice.” You drop your head as you finish speaking, not being able to bear the sad look in his eyes.
“What did they say?”
“There were a few saying how I’m fat and some saying how I’d be pretty if I lost weight...Don’t get me wrong there were some really sweet ones but the mean ones have really stuck with me.” He sighs heavily and turned his head finding your phone next to him. Unlocking it the screen lit up to show where you’d left off in the comment section and he skimmed his way through some of them, a frown forming on his face as he sees what you were talking about.
“I’m sorry.” He says weakly, closing your phone again and putting it to one side.
“Why are you sorry, you didn’t do anything wrong.”
“No, I did, I should have put more thought into it, I should have known what might happen, being an idol is risky business, you get the adoring fans who show so much love and support and want nothing more than for us to be happy and well but on the flip side you get the crazy ones, the ones that want us all to themselves and hate on any girl we even look at. I don’t want you to go through that.” He felt awful, in the moment when the photo was taken he wanted to do nothing more than to show off his best friend, the one who’d had his heart since before he became a trainee, his number 1 supporter, his rock, but all that came out of it was you feeling immensely insecure and he was to blame for it.
“It’s okay, you have nothing to be sorry for, I should have known better than to look but curiosity got the better of me...but it has got me thinking.” He tilts his head wanting to know what you meant by that.
“I’ve been single for so long, and now that I think about it I’ve always been second best. Being the chubby one amongst my girl friends I’ve always been pushed to the side, I’m the one men go to when they want a friend’s number but I’m never the one who’s number is wanted. Because of that I’ve always compared myself to other girls, skinnier girls and now I’m thinking it’s my weight holding me back from getting a boyfriend, I’ll never find ‘the one’ if I look like this.” You sadly gesture to yourself still keeping your eyes from Hongjoong’s who’s were now starting to tear up.
“Y/n...Shut up.” He whispers shakily making you look up at him seeing how tears brimmed his eyes.
“Wha...” Before you could finish speaking Hongjoong leaned forward pressing his lips to yours, hands cupping your face pulling you in closer to him. You were in shock but you melted into the kiss all the same, eyes fluttering shut as you tried to savour the second his lips spent on yours.
“I’ve always wanted to do that.” He smiles lightly, pulling away from you, your face still held in his hands.
“What...What was that for?”
“Y/n, I never want to hear you say that stuff about yourself again okay. You’re not second best and you never have been, you’ve always been number 1 in my eyes and your beautiful. Short, tall, skinny, chubby you name it you look beautiful no matter what so stop thinking you’re not.” You could feel tears start to well up in your own eyes again, but you couldn’t help but think he was joking.
“Joong...”
“No I mean it, I might as well come out and say it...I like you...a lot and I have done for years,  was going to tell you before but then I got accepted into KQ and I realised I wouldn’t be allowed to. As shit as it is idols have strict rules about dating, as you know, so for years I’ve been pushing my feelings for you aside but nothing’s worked and now...I don’t care about any rules.” You could feel the way his hands started to slightly tremble on your face and you bring yours up to hold them.
“I don’t want you risking your career, especially not for the likes of me.”
“I would risk anything for you y/n, just remember that for me. You’re the most beautiful person to walk to earth and for years I’ve wanted to be able to show you off to people and say ‘yes she’s all mine’, I want you to be able to see yourself how I see you.” That was your breaking point, the overwhelming love you felt from Hongjoong had set the water works off, tears streaming as you buried your face into his chest.
“Do you really mean that?” You hiccup through your sobs.
“Of course I do, every word of it. I want to tell you everyday how much you mean to me and how beautiful you are, but only if you’ll let me.” You nod against his chest, not trusting your mouth to talk for you. You could feel a smile creep onto his face from the way his cheek lifted against your head and his hold on you got tighter.
“I’ve liked you for a long time too Joong.” You confess, making his eyes widen and mouth open slightly before pulling back from you to see if you’re being sincere.
“Really?”
“Of course, I mean look at you, you’re amazing and so sweet, anyone is lucky to have you in their life, I didn’t say anything because there’s a better girl out there for you.” He stopped your talking by kissing you again, pulling you into his lap and snaking his arms around your waist keeping you close to his chest.
“There’s no one better out there for me than you.”

Caitvi: Expecting parents
Just a bunch of headcanons that involve a pregnant Vi and a very supportive Caitlyn
Tumblr media
Vi and Caitlyn have been together for a while and at some point vi ends up pregnant.
It comes unexpectedly but regardless Cait does all she can to make sure Vi is comfortable and at ease while pregnant.
Comforting and treating her during and after morning sickness and being patient with her while her mood might be a bit erratic due to hormones.
Making sure Vi never does any heavy lifting and is always in comfortable positions (especially as she starts to grow bigger)
Vi starts to develop some wild ass cravings at some point and even if caitlyn finds them strange, she always makes sure she has the items on hand and never runs out (asks vi to let her know immediately when she's even half way out of what she'd need).
Upon first learning that Vi was pregnant, they were both taken aback and nervous, but Vi let's her know that it is what it is, and that she'd go through with it, and Caitlyn ofc let's her know she's with her through it.
Immediately after their shock, they're already coming up with names for their potential baby and wondering what she'll be like. Wondering who the baby will look more like, or if she'd be a perfect mix of them both (like Cait is of her parents lol).
When Caitlyn leaves the house, whether for work or to run some errands, she's always looking for things that might make things easier for Vi. She'll find things like essential oils to make her relax, all different kinds of pillows, or anything that massages any part of the body (especially feet and back though because they would get pretty swollen and achy at some point).
Cait also gets her a pillow that specifically helps pregnant people sleep better with their baby bump. (Vi started getting all pouty because she'd usually use Cait as a pillow and thought Cait didn't wanna cuddle with her anymore when it was just Cait needing space when she sleeps lmao. Vi got it through her head pretty quick tho so they're good)
They also like to wonder who the baby will take after more, or wonder if she'll be like both of them. A problem solving dork like Caitlyn, or a tough, stubborn mule like Vi lol. Either way she'd be sweet and compassionate like both of her mothers they think. Vi thinks maybe she'd get her love for art from her side of the family (Vi did her own tats and we see Jinx likes to draw and doodle).
Vi's big on rabbit plushies (used to be her favorite toy) so she'd buy a few for the nursery they start creating with an extra room in Caitlyn's house (Caitlyn's still rich in this AU and has enough to have her own pretty decently sized place).
Caitlyn's constantly talking to the baby, damn near giving her pep talks while pressing her ear to Vi's belly and "waiting for a response" (any kind of movement lol).
Caitlyn also likes to put tape recorders with classical music playing on Vi's belly or headphones attached to a tape recorder playing classical music so the baby can hear it (she wants her to grow up smart lol).
When they're apart for a majority of the day, they'll both be coming up with names and writing them down to discuss with each other later on.

Note
I had a camper this summer who ended up leaving early due to homesickness and even though I was only her junior counselor I still wish there was more I could of done for her. Any advice about dealing with a homesick camper for summer 2023?
While sad, sometimes going home really is the best thing for a camper. There's a space at camp for every child, but not at every camp and not at every time. She can get older and try again, and that's ok. You did your best and that is enough.
For homesickness, I actually have a whole tag of homesickness stories, tips, and tricks. This is my masterpost and then there's more in the tag. The tips and tricks from that post are:
Just as there are lots of different ways [to be homesick] to deal with homesickness. And each camper is different, so you may have to try multiple approaches.
Let them talk. Just letting a child say what’s on their mind, uninterrupted, is a great way to cure many problems. It works pretty well for upset adults too.
Camp appropriate hugs, if they want one.
Writing. Maybe it’s journaling, maybe it’s writing a letter home.
Become a master of distraction. A lot of kids could use a distraction from their homesickness. Doing activities as you are able to is a great way to engage and distract kids. Ideas might be friendship bracelets, crafts, simple science experiments, or a game.
Look out for them. Check in with them in a way that doesn’t make them feel like they’re being singled out.
Focus on the positive. Ask them to reflect on their favorite parts of camp so far.
Focus on the future. Tell them all about the cool and fun things that you’re going to do that week (or however long) at camp.
Ask your director/ACD to call the parents and ask if they have any suggestions. Also ask your director/ACD/supervisor/people with more experience than you for suggestions when you’ve run out of things to try.
A couple of other notes:
With writing, focus on positives. And if you say you'll mail it/email it, you actually have to - don't lie about it.
Actually focus on the positive with everything. It's all about what exciting things they get to do tomorrow, the friends they'll make, the fun they'll have.
Sometimes it is ok to let the kids call home when they are truly struggling. It serves a couple of purposes: one it's a pep talk and two it gives the parent the opportunity to make an informed decision about their camper staying at camp. This should be a later intervention, when other things haven't worked.
Tap into the wisdom of older staffers and admin staff. Also tap into them when you need to tap out, because we all get overwhelmed by emotions sometimes.
Make sure that you dealing with homesickness, or the camper's homesickness itself, isn't negatively effecting other campers. This might mean appropriate separation from the group (following your camp's staff:camper ratio) until they calm down, so that they don't "infect" the other campers.
Best of luck next summer!

Chapter 18: The Pep Talk
Summary: Mel and Silco give their bands a pep talk
This work is available here on AO3. Chapter 1 Chapter 2 Chapter 3 Chapter 4 Chapter 5 Chapter 6 Chapter 7 Chapter 8 Chapter 9 Chapter 10 Chapter 11 Chapter 12 Chapter 13 Chapter 14 Chapter 15 Chapter 16 Chapter 17
Mel insisted on attending Progress Day’s final practice.
She entered with her assistant and Zeri, who turned out to be tremendously helpful. Zeri darted around the group during their warm up, suggesting new riffs, different vocal inflections. She spent most of her time at the keys with Ekko–he had taken over after Ezreal’s departure–and when it was finally time for Progress Day’s full set rehearsal, she pecked him on the cheek and whispered, “Good luck.”
Finding herself too nervous to sit, Caitlyn stood behind Mel, arms crossed. Mel looked a little more comfortable, hands folded in her lap gracefully. But neither could hide the hardness in their faces, concern bruising the bags under their eyes.
Though they all felt the weight of the immense pressure, Caitlyn and Mel shouldered the brunt of it. They were the only ones who knew the real stakes of the contest, having kept their deals a secret. There was some relief, at least, being able to share the burden with each other: Caitlyn couldn’t fathom how Mel had carried it alone for so long.
During the final week, Caitlyn had been at every practice, though she was often separated from the band. She worked alone in the soundboard room: planning with the venue, fine tuning social media, and fending off the press. Even if the investigation was still active, she would have had no time for it now.
The most difficult part was the social media presence. Planning, details, that all came easy. But the public was another beast, one she didn’t quite know how to feed. Jayce’s stunt at the Shimmer Hotel certainly hadn’t helped. He took her lecture well, though, almost too well, understanding the consequences of his grand romantic gesture, even if he was hurt that she never confessed Viktor’s situation to him before. And then he surprised her: he did meet with Viktor that night, under Jinx’s supervision. Not only her supervision, but her suggestion. But Caitlyn didn’t have enough space in her calendar to mull over that part of the story, or what it meant.
Another fire to put out was Lux’s, which had, with time, cooled. Her parents and Garen still checked in daily, but the Kirammans managed to reassure at every turn. Caitlyn and Mel decided that no official statement needed to be made to the press about the relationship, no matter how much the public was dying to know more.
And apparently, so was the band, which was another interesting shift in the dynamic. Realizing she was free of judgment from her peers, Lux opened up more and more about her relationship with Jinx. During their lunch breaks, the other band members would ask questions, unable to fend off their curiosity, and she obliged them. She told the story of her night with Jinx, the clubs and dancing, though left out the details of their intimacy. She recounted all their late night phone calls with a blissful grin. Lux admitted that Jinx hadn’t called her in a week, but attributed her neglect to the contest, never once doubting her.
Caitlyn admired Lux’s faith in Jinx. She just hoped it wasn’t misplaced.
Altogether, the band forged on. Sure, the stress never left their faces, but their smiles were bright and their laughter loud. There was a bond between them now, and it was never more obvious than when they performed together.
Caitlyn had heard the setlist many times, often muffled in the sound studio, between calls. She knew she was underqualified to judge their sound, and instead kept her focus on Mel and Zeri. The latter tapped her feet, rising to dance to certain songs and earning whoops from the band members in between lyrics. On the last song, Mel clapped along, and even her assistant joined in. But Caitlyn was still too seized by anxiety to offer anything more than a thin smile.
“Thank you Zaun, Piltover,” Ekko called to the invisible crowd as the song ended. “For one last time, we! Are! Progress Day!”
Lux and Vi played one final note, lifting their fists triumphantly, with a resounding, “Yeah!”
Mel, Zeri, and the assistant applauded. Caitlyn joined in, at a slower pace, trying to get a glimpse of Mel’s face, to see if there was anything hidden there, but her expression betrayed nothing. The room fell silent as Mel stepped forward, hands clasped in front of her.
She prepared herself. Caitlyn had seen enough of politics to know this would be one of Mel’s famed speeches. “I believe…” Mel began. “I owe you all an apology.”
The bandmates exchanged confused glances.
“These last two weeks, I’m sad to say that I have been plagued by doubts. I was afraid for each of you: afraid for Lux, for Jayce, for Vi, Ekko. I see now that my fears have clouded my judgment. Because standing before me here are not individuals. You are a band, in every sense of the word. No longer do you enter this fight with your own ambitions, you enter this fight together, and you fight for each other.
“This contest has changed you, all of you, just as it has changed Caitlyn, and Zeri, and me. It has changed us all for the better. For some of us, it was a change in living situation. For others, we fell in love-”
Zeri winked at Ekko, who shared a sheepish grin with Lux.
“Or, we fell back into it,” Mel said, shooting a wry smile at a blushing Jayce. “But ultimately, we are all coming out stronger than when we entered. Because we are here together, not just as musicians, or performers. We are here as friends, as family.
“So I apologize for doubting, even once. I was so concerned about whether we would win this contest, that I was blind to the fact that we had already won. There is no greater prize than the love shared here in this room. And that is something that no one, not even Silco, can take away.”
Awe calmed the air, before Vi began to nod, her grin widening. “Fuck yeah.”
“Fuck yeah!” Ekko echoed loudly. “Hey,” he turned to his bandmates. “Give it up for Mel and Caitlyn!”
The band members clapped, abandoning their instruments to embrace their sponsor and manager. They all clasped hands with each other, folding into a large group hug.
When the chatter had died down, Ekko said, “You know what, it’s our last night. We should get dinner together.”
“Let’s do Jericho’s,” Vi suggested immediately.
Caitlyn was careful to conceal her wince. Vi had taken her there many times before, and each time she felt like she was fighting her meal rather than eating it.
Jayce cocked an eyebrow. “I heard that place is… not good.”
“Whoah!” Vi and Ekko said together, offended.
Vi said, “It’s the best place in town.”
Mel and Caitlyn graciously declined, due to their few final meetings. Vi swept Caitlyn into a parting embrace, peppering her with kisses. Caitlyn warned, “Don’t be out too late.”
“No promises,” Vi said, nibbling her ear playfully.
Once they were outside and out of earshot, Caitlyn asked Mel, “You really meant all that?”
“Of course.”
“... You don’t have any more doubts? No fear at all?”
Mel let out a short chuckle. “Oh, I definitely do. But it’s hardly helpful telling them that. Besides, I really do have complete and utter faith in the band. It’s Silco I don’t trust.”
Caitlyn sighed. “He’ll cheat, won’t he? What do you think he’ll do?”
“I’m not sure, but I do know that it won’t do us much good fretting over it.” Mel placed a hand on her shoulder. “You’ve done all that you can, darling, and we are all so grateful to you. Promise me you’ll get some rest tonight.”
Caitlyn forced her shoulders to relax, though the tension still lingered in them. “I promise,” she said, mustering as much sincerity as possible.
Mel saw through her, of course, but said nothing of it. “Come, let’s torment this poor stage manager for the last time.”
                                                           ☆ ☆ ☆
Jericho’s was less of a restaurant than a dive. The atmosphere was dingy, the food was covered in salt and grease, their table hadn’t been wiped down in hours. And Vi wouldn’t have it any other way.
Dinner was wonderful and bittersweet. They ate, they laughed, they drank. Jericho let them stay late, and soon they were the only patrons left in the restaurant.
As they made for the door, Vi clapped Ekko’s and Jayce’s shoulders. “Here, you guys go ahead, I’m going to say goodbye to Jericho.”
The kitchen was quiet, save for the dishwasher grinding away. Their eyes shifted nervously as Vi passed by, though she didn’t know why. Just before she could knock on the door to Jericho’s office, she caught a scent of something. It was eerily familiar, a faint string of cigar smoke. She picked up the mumble of voices through the door, and listened.
Jericho was speaking with someone, a woman with a deep voice. Vi only got bits and pieces of the conversation: “Payment… not happy…”
The woman was calm, but Jericho’s voice rose in volume. “I need more time!” he insisted in his heavy accent.
Even if Vi didn’t recognize any words, she did recognize the thud of a fist, a grunt of pain. Without thinking, she slammed her body weight against the door, breaking in.
Sevika. She was startled by Vi’s entrance, but her mechanical arm still clung to Jericho’s thick throat.
Vi clenched her fists. “Let him go.”
Sevika cocked an eyebrow at Vi, smirking. She slammed him to the ground. Vi noticed a glint of pink in his eyes, and felt sick. Sevika said, “This is none of your business, Baby Vander. Scram.”
“You’re in my town, Sevika,” Vi said. She stepped aside, jerking her head towards the exit. “Get out.”
Sevika huffed a chuckle and started to move past her. They shared a glare and just before Sevika moved past, she pivoted on her heel, using the momentum to bring her fist towards her. But Vi ducked, sending three quick but hard punches at Sevika’s abdomen.
With a snarl, Sevika raised her own fists. The kitchen was small, but gave them just enough room to stalk around each other. Sevika swung, but Vi dodged. She went for Sevika’s face, but was blocked by her forearms. Sevika found an opening and crashed her fist against Vi’s temple, sending her staggering.
Sevika wore a vicious grin. “You’re weak, just like your old man.”
“At least I don’t do his dirty laundry,” Vi growled. Since Sevika had the height advantage, Vi focused on attacking her middle. She backed her against the fridge, delivering a series of blows. But Sevika spun out of it, throwing her weight against Vi and pinning her against the cold metal. Vi gasped, hissing, “Wake up, Sevika. Silco’s a time bomb. It’s only a matter of time before he turns on you.”
“He won’t.”
“Oh yeah?” Vi brought her elbow hard against Sevika’s back with a, “How’s Finn!”
She cried out and Vi was able to escape, giving her the length of the kitchen. “Finn made a bad move,” Sevika said.
“That’s all it takes. One bad move.”
As she stalked towards her, Sevika let her mechanical arm claw against the stove and countertop, the metal screaming. Vi winced at the sound. Sevika’s lip curled triumphantly. “It was supposed to be you, you know.”
“What?”
“That night at the pub. Silco came to see you. He was looking for someone to replace Finn as Shimmer’s headlining guitarist. But all that changed as soon as she stepped on stage.”
Vi’s fists lowered more and more with each word, dread creeping up her spine.
Sevika went on. “Sure, she’s talented, but what really drew him in is that she’s younger, easier to manipulate, to control.”
Vi spat blood. “He’ll never be able to control her.”
“Maybe not.” Sevika was close now, almost standing over her. “But you made it so much easier for him. You left her.”
“I didn’t,” Vi said. Beside them, the faucet hissed: the dishwasher had left without turning off the water, and the suds were quickly rising to the top of the basin.
Sevika seized the front of Vi’s shirt, hissing into her ear, “I can’t wait until we win, and I get to watch you lose her all. Over. Again.”
With a scream, Vi ducked under Sevika’s arm, pinning it behind her back as her other hand grabbed the back of Sevika’s head and shoved her face into the soapy water. Sevika gurgled, thrashing underneath Vi’s hands, trying desperately to get away. When she finally got her head above the water, she inhaled sharply, coughing on suds. Sevika brought her elbow hard against Vi’s ribs, once, twice, and on the third time Vi finally released her.
Sevika whipped around, panting, water and soap dripping from her hair and face. “I’m going to kill you!” she yelled, charging at Vi.
Vi grinned sardonically. Sevika’s composure was gone, which meant she would fight sloppy now. Vi charged right back at her, releasing a war cry.
                                                           ☆ ☆ ☆
It was late when Viktor and Jinx were summoned to Silco’s office, so late that both of them had been sound asleep when they were woken by the phone call. Silco wasn’t in his chair, instead leaning back against his desk, almost like it was propping him up. Exhaustion was a yoke on his shoulders. “I’m sorry to disturb you both,” he murmured. “But I wanted you to know as soon as possible. A few hours ago, Sevika was injured at a business meeting.”
Jinx wanted to wring his skinny neck: a fucking business meeting. Like they were children who couldn’t understand. It sickened her, but not as much as realizing that she was actually worried about Sevika.
“Is she alright?” Viktor asked so she didn’t have to.
“She’s recovering,” said Silco. “But I’m afraid she’s out of the contest.”
A deathly quiet settled over them.
Silco said, “I have already set a plan in motion. You two need to only focus on playing well tomorrow.”
“Playing well?” Jinx couldn’t keep the fear out of her voice. “Playing fucking well? What the fuck, Silco!” She slammed her fist on his desk. “First Finn, then Margot, and now Sevika’s out of the game? Why was she even in danger in the first place?”
“The meeting wasn’t supposed to be dangerous.” She could tell by his expression that he blamed himself, even if he didn’t say it out loud. “Accidents happen.”
“And happen, and happen, and happen apparently!”
“I hear your frustration,” he said, and she knew he meant it. “I do. But there is nothing to be done about it now, and you two are more than capable of going on without her.”
She wanted to yell more, scream at him. But he was right: there was nothing else they could do. So Jinx chose to sulk in silence.
Her anger at bay, Silco averted his focus. “Viktor. You have proven yourself loyal again and again.”
Jinx felt Viktor’s eyes flicker to her, and she prayed that Silco didn’t notice.
Silco went on. “Trust me when I say that your loyalty has not been overlooked. Originally, we arranged for you to take part in the contest only, and we would discuss further after winning. But now, under the circumstances, I want to offer you an even greater reward.”
Viktor’s bubble of nonchalance was pricked by interest.
“Jinx is my sole heir, but in order to rule, she will need someone close to her that she can trust. My offer is this: if you win, you will be her right hand man, second in command over the Zaun empire. You will advise her and help her oversee all matters, and rule in her stead when needed. You will have any and every resource at your disposal, including…” His chin dipped towards Viktor’s weak leg. “Our medical technologies.”
Jinx watched his face. Anyone else would have thought Viktor didn’t care, or wasn’t paying attention. But she read him, the hungry light in his eyes. His words echoed in her mind, If I had a chance to taste glory at your age, I would have seized it in my teeth.
Silco didn’t see what she saw, though, and he shifted uncomfortably in the following quiet. “Well? Do we have a deal?”
“Sure,” Viktor said with a shrug. “Sounds fun.”
A slow smile crept over Silco’s features. “You truly are Singed’s boy.”
At the words, Viktor tightened his grip on the cane.
Silco embraced them both. When he did, Jinx instinctively snaked an arm around Viktor’s waist too, clinging to him tighter than she did to Silco.
“We will win,” Silco murmured. “I know we will. Both of you get some rest, and tomorrow, Zaun will be ours.”
Jinx and Viktor walked solemnly through the dim hallways of the hotel. At the crossroads, they stopped, sharing one long look.
She wanted to say something, anything, that could convey how she felt. But there were no words. At least, none that wouldn’t state the obvious, mutual dread that lay between them.
So, she said, “Sladkih snov, Viktor.”
He breathed out a wistful chuckle. “Sladkih snov, pupsik.”
And they returned to their rooms.
                                                           ☆ ☆ ☆
“You idiot,” Caitlyn kept saying over and over again. “You bloody fucking idiot.”
Vi smirked. “I love when you whisper sweet nothings into my ear.”
“This isn’t a joke, Vi! What if Silco presses charges? Or worse…”
“Look, Sevika may be a snake but she’s a fighter at heart. She won’t snitch until she gets a rematch.” Vi winced at the pressure of the washcloth on her bruise. “Besides, Jericho called the ambulance hours ago. If Silco was going to get me arrested, he would have done it already. It’s not really a secret where I’m at,” she said and indicated Caitlyn’s spacious bedroom.
Caitlyn mulled the words over. “An ambulance… What did you do to her?”
“I just roughed her up a little. I knocked her out at the end.” She added sheepishly, “And I might have broken one of her arms, but that was an accident.”
“A concussion and a broken…” Caitlyn breathed, “She’ll be out of the contest.”
The only light came from the lamp on her nightstand, a glow that exaggerated the shadows in the room. They seemed to grow and lengthen with every heavy second.
Vi said, “I- what was I supposed to do, Cait? She was hurting him.”
Caitlyn knew she couldn’t blame Vi: she might have done something similar in that situation, albeit less damaging.
Her exhausted brain kept working, running on fumes. Hypotheticals of what Silco might do, to Ekko, Lux, Jayce. Vi. All the people dearest to her in the world, and they were on the front line of this stupid war.
She had to stop him. Increase security, set up more cameras around the music venue. She could make some calls tonight, send emails, so that the staff saw it first thing in the morning.
Caitlyn rose from the bed, but her head swam and she staggered.
“Whoah, easy, Cupcake!” Vi caught her, supporting her. “What’s up?”
“I have to…” What did she have to do again? Was it a meeting? No, an email, that’s right. “Send an… no, I have to call…”
“Cait,” Vi said softly. “You’re not doing anything else tonight. Come to bed.”
“I’m fine.” Caitlyn tried to pull away, but Vi’s hands were firm. And warm. And welcoming. “Just this one thing then I’ll-”
“No.” Vi eased her onto the bed, running her calloused hands down her arms. “Bed. Now.”
Caitlyn gazed up at her, at the bruise blooming on Vi’s eye. Weakened by exhaustion, she felt it all crash down at once, the stress, the pressure. The dam broke, tears flowing down her cheeks.
“Hey…” Vi held her, pressing her lips to her temple. “It’s okay. It’s okay.”
“I just want it to be over,” Caitlyn whispered. “If the world’s going to fall apart, I just wish it would bloody well get it over with so I can start picking up the pieces.”
Vi chuckled under her breath. “You know, when it comes to the waiting game, you sure are a sore loser.”
“Why can’t I just skip ahead? Why can’t it be tomorrow already and I can just know how everything will play out?”
“Because,” Vi murmured. “If you skipped ahead right now, you wouldn’t get any fucking sleep. And you’d miss out on this.” Vi kissed her forehead. “And this.” She kissed her nose. “And this.” She kissed her lips, trapping her thoughts there, drowning them out with the softness of her touch.
When Vi finally pulled away, Caitlyn found it hard to think about anything other than how warm she felt, how comfortable, how loved.
Vi said, “Tell that big, beautiful brain of yours to stop working overtime and get some shut eye, Cupcake.”
Caitlyn let go of it all, obeying her. As she drifted into unconsciousness, she heard Vi say, “No matter what happens, we’ll be okay.”
And her final thought was that she actually believed her.

It's the end of summer 1984 and you wake up in the middle of the night and can't fall back to sleep. You're still anxious about the move from the big city to the smallest city your parents could find on the map, Hawkins, Indiana.
Sitting against your pillows you wonder how they could do this to you just before starting your senior year of high school. You had to leave all your friends behind and hope you meet the criteria to graduate from Hawkins High.
The only upside is all the rumors that Hawkins is Hell on Earth and that makes it somewhat interesting.
Looking at the clock you realize its after midnight and you need some sleep for the first day of school. Closing your eyes you allow yourself to drift into a sleepless state.
Day 1: start of Term
Pulling into a empty parking space near the front of the school you put the car into park and just sit. Breathing in and out slowly you keep telling yourself it's going to be alright and there's nothing to worry about.
You are smart, funny and have always made friends easily so what could be any different about Hawkins High?
While giving yourself the pep talk of the century you didn't notice the blue Chevrolet Camaro pull in next to you.
You open your door to get out and hear a young voice say “ouch”. You look over and see a redheaded girl with a skateboard rubbing her ankle.
“Damn, I must have hit her with my door,” you think to yourself but before you have the chance to say anything a guy with eyes that radiated blue fire and perfect brown hair grabbed you by the collar and dragged you out of your car.
“Hey shit head, you hit my sister with your ugly ass car door, what are you going to do about it?” the guy said, causing the fire dancing in his eyes to flare brighter. Not being one for confrontation you just say “I'm sorry”. The guy just glared at you.
”Billy please it was an accident” the young girl said softly as she slid behind her brother. Billy looked back at the girl who nodded like they had a silent conversation and Billy put you down.
“I'm really am sorry. I wasn't looking, is she ok?” you ask worried due to the girl's reaction.
“Our dad was an abusive asshole so she gets nervous easily, especially at raised voices. My name is Billy and this is Max, what's yours?” Billy asked, wrapping his arm around Max protectively.
Amazed at his gentleness you almost miss the question. “Oh huh sorry my name is Y/N and I'm new here” you reply blushing slightly.
Billy smiles and your heart skips two beats.
“Hey sorry I went off but I am Max’s guardian and I worry a lot about her. Also we are new as well. We can help each other” Billy said, placing a free hand on yours.
Billy removed his hand and said “I will see you later Y/N I have to get Max to the middle school before my class starts” Billy says and the two of them head off.
As soon as they were out of sight, you looked down at the hand he was touching and told yourself that nothing will ever happen because he was pretty much the epitome of Male straightness plus no one could know you liked other men or things will go south, they always did.
The week goes by better than expected. You make a bunch of new friends including the King of Hawkins High, Steve Harrington, and his girlfriend Nancy Wheeler. Also, Jonathan Byers, Eddie Munson, Chrissy Cunningham, Robin Buckley, and Barbra or Barb Holland round out your small and comfortable friend list.
You barely saw him again though as you only had one class with him and he was always surrounded by the popular girls.
By the time Friday rolled around you had concluded that he was definitely the straight jock that didn't have any interest in you whatsoever which made seeing him every day seem like a jail sentence.
“Hey, Y/N how would you like to be my wingman to the Halloween party this weekend? I was going to go with Tommy but he got sick. I am going to take down Beer keg king Harrington” Billy said interrupting your train of thought and flashing that smile of his.
I could almost feel the jealousy manifesting from the popular girls. Worried it might make some people question your relationship with Billy you became reluctant to answer.
But when he placed his hand over yours purposefully, you relax and reply “Yeah, I will come”.
“Great, I will swing by and get you at 7pm,” Billy said just as the teacher came in and that was the end of that conversation.
As the teacher discussed the importance of math in the real world your mind went over the million different scenarios that this weekend could lead to, mostly horrible but some really nice.
You dare to look over at Billy and he flashes you that smile that makes you melt and all that worry fades away, well until after class at least.

Storytelling Socials V1.0 Update and Changelog
Tumblr media
Compatible with patch 1.75.
It's here—Early Access is up for Tier 2 Patrons! (Goes public on May 25th at 10 A.M.!)
This is a pretty big update. There are 14 new interactions. They are as follows:
Vent about Terrible Family: if your Sim has any of the negative relationship bits that come with Parenthood, they're able to vent about their family life being awful to a friend—not to someone they're related to (except cousins).
Bicker: an interaction for elderly spouses. Simmers who play old married couples: this one is for you!
Complain about Relationship: a general interaction for Sims in a romantic relationship. Either partner can complain about it. I left it general for storytelling purposes.
Instill with Cosmic Dread: a mischief interaction for Sims with a high Logic skill and a level 3 Mischief skill that allows them to scare someone over the size of space. This isn't a storytelling interaction; it's one inspired by personal experience. I often think about space and become horrified at the obscene size of it and the minuscule scale of humanity and Earth. Now you can do it to others in Sims!
Call Overbearing: Sims can now call Jealous partners overbearing. This was an interaction I added to make traits more weighty.
Argue about Cheating: if either Sim has cheated in a relationship, it can be brought up, which will make both Sims angry (Angry +2 to both). Please note that this isn't an actual Argue interaction.
Needlessly Embarrass: parents can give their children an embarrassed buff (+2) for absolutely no reason. It's a Mischief interaction.
Newlyweds Reminisce: when Sims are newlyweds (if they both have the Just Married! buff), they can reminisce about the first time they met, which will give both a +2 happy buff.
Spoil New Movie: Geeks can spoil new movies. If the Sim is not a geek, they get a +1 angry buff. If they're a geek, they get a +2 angry buff. There's also a Morrowind reference in one of the buffs. Props if you get it.
Have a Heart-to-Heart: past 12 AM, best friends can have a vulnerable conversation which will leave them both feeling the love.
Accuse of Starting Drama: a catch-all interaction for storytelling. If your Sim has just one of a myriad of buffs—Aggravating Conversation, Beaten Up!, and Caught Cheating are a few—they can do this interaction.
Mock Movie Taste: Snobs can mock others' movie taste. Totally not inspired by someone I know (he's my best friend, it's fine).
Blame for Breakup: If a Sim is broken up with, they can blame someone other than their partner for causing it. Good example would be if a Sim was caught cheating, they can turn around to the person they cheated with and blame them for the break-up.
Compliment "Handiness": this is a fairly specific interaction. If you've WooHoo'ed with a Sim and you see them upgrading/repairing things, you can compliment their "handiness". Get it?
Changelog continued under the cut!
Responses are here! For certain interactions, Sims will perform a response after the initial animation finishes. Two interactions with new responses are "Call Unfamous Sim a Plebian" and "Reaffirm Love". "Needlessly Embarrass" also has one, as does "Confess Love for Best Friend". For example, if your Sim is famous and they do the aforementioned interaction, they will laugh condescendingly after. The target will do an Embarrassed animation.
Tumblr media
More will come. For now, I think 6 interactions have them.
I also diversified some of the buffs; I ripped them from the game and imported them in the package to make sure it remains BGC, though I'm pretty sure all of the buffs come with the base game. Most notably, the Loner pep talk buff is now different and more fitting, I think.
At long last, Sims cannot do romantic interactions when sad or angry! This was something I wanted to do in the first version but didn't know how to. Turns out it's easy. Whoops!
Tumblr media
A big one: "Confess Love for Best Friend" now shoots romance up by 45. "I Miss You" does the same. A little underwhelming if you're storytelling and your Sim finally works up the guts to tell their best friend they're in love with them... just for +15 to romance. Weak! That is now fixed.
Bug fixes:
Fixed an oversight in which spouses could congratulate each other on their marriage if one of their buffs faded before the other's.
Other notes:
Added the Loner trait icon to "Complain about Socialization".
Fixed a typo; it's Plebeian, not Plebian. Whoops!
Got rid of the "Express Relief Over Break Up" interaction as it was initially a placeholder for what ended up going in, "Call Inferior to Current Partner".
Initially an interaction, "Beg to be Taken Back", was planned for this version. It's in the package file but currently does not show up when it should. Next version will rectify this issue.
Requirements reminder:
You must have Scumbumbo's XML injector!
You MUST have a nice day today. You're important and valued!
When updating this mod, please remove the old .package and .ts4script files from your mods folder and place this one there instead.
As always, let me know if you experience anything weird with any of the interactions.
Now public! Free download available here!

Distant Shores-2
Summary: The heathens came to raid every year, stealing treasures and killing along the way. Your father was the King of Wessex and wanted to strike a deal with the heathens. The heathens and their ruthless numbers in exchange for some lands to farm, riches... and you. You are the Christian princess that is now to marry the Heathen King, a man that you're sure would rather kill you than marry you. This is going to be a miserable marriage.
A Viking!BakugouxReader fic.
Tumblr media
The boat ride back to where the Vikings lived was a long one. As exciting as being on the open water was, to see so much open space it got old quickly. The water would spray at you, soaking you to your bones and causing you to shiver. There also wasn’t much to look at other than the deep blue of the ocean, white fluffy clouds in the sky, the other Viking ships floating nearby.
You also couldn’t really speak to anyone, you did not know their language at all nor they yours. The only one who seemed to know anything was the man that was to be your husband, however he didn’t seem interested in talking. At least not to you. From what you could tell he was grumpy, rude, unpredictable and overall unpleasant. You wondered why these people followed him, weather or not they had a choice in the matter or not. Back home no matter what anyone thought of your father they had to follow, he was King after all. You weren’t quite sure how it worked here but you couldn’t ask either.
You huffed, drawing the fur closer around your body, the same one that had been placed on you near the start of your journey. He had to have a nice bone somewhere in his body, right? If he gave you this fur, then again maybe he just hadn’t wanted to hear you complain. It felt like you had been on the sea forever, and there was a constant chill to you that you couldn’t shake. You had no idea how some of these men were shirtless, though you supposed it would be easy to work up a sweat rowing as they did. You hadn’t ever thought of that, that there were people who did such a job. You hadn’t been on one of your fathers ships and even if you had you wouldn’t have seen the men working so hard to row.  One of the men must have noticed your staring because he gestured to you and then to the oar that he was holding, laughing and joking with the men beside him. However you stood up, giving the man a smile. At this point you’d do anything to warm up and help. You felt useless this entire time, the only person who hadn’t taken a turn to row. The man looked shocked at you as you stood up, gently touching the oar. You weren’t quite sure how to do this, that much was obvious but the man did his best to instruct you without actually speaking. You figured you got the gist of it and it only took you a minute or so to get in sync with the other men rowing. You laughed softly to yourself before starting to feel the burn in your arms. This was a workout, but judging by the men near you and their large arms this was something they were used to. A few of the men near you let out little snickers and chuckles, shaking their heads. They hadn’t expected such a prim and proper lady to do such a thing. You on the other hand, found things like this interesting and wanted to try it all.
It did not last long however until you felt a strong hand wrapping around your upper arm and dragging you up, causing you to drop the oar and gasp slightly. Bakugou was barking angrily at the man that had gotten up from his position while gripping tightly on your arm. You couldn’t understand what he was saying but he sounded angry and you instantly regretted your decision. “It is my fault.. not his.” You managed to get out, your own hand touching Bakugou’s arm.  “Quiet you, you are meant to sit here until we get back.” Bakugou growled as he looked down at you, almost snarling as he deposited you back to where you had originally been seated. You grumbled for a few moments, looking up at Bakugou with narrowed eyes, obviously upset that he had pulled you away from your task.
The two of you were sharing a very long, intense stare. A few of the men around you admired your braveness and said as much, not that you could understand what they were saying to begin with. Soon a spray of ocean water broke your gaze as it came crashing right next to you and you had to move to get out of it’s way. “You sit here, and do not say anything the rest of the way.” Bakugou grumbled as he moved you to a spot where there wasn’t too much spray and threw another fur over you.
His mood was hard to understand, he could be somewhat kind as you’d witnessed before, but he was also surly and rude. To be married to someone like that for the rest of your life, always having to guess at what emotion he had and walking on eggshells. That was not something that you wanted to deal with, however you didn’t have much choice in the matter. Running away? Well you were in the middle of the ocean and once you got back to land your odds weren’t much better. In a foreign land where you didn’t speak the language? Yeah that wouldn’t be good. So at this point you were stuck, with no much choice other than to marry a man you didn’t know or love.
It was a day or so later that seagulls were seen flying above and you saw the men getting excited, so you figured that you must be getting closer to home. Well their home, your new prison. Moments later a small town came into view, huts and longhouses, docks and a beautiful beach. You stayed put where you were however, instead of going to get a closer look. You really didn’t want to anger your future any further.
Soon the men were docking, women waiting with children at the docks smiling happily and waving at what you presumed were their husbands. They were all so happy to see their families some jumped off the boats before they were properly docked and unloaded. You wondered what it was like, to have such a family. You figured you’d never know. Your parents weren’t exactly the loving type, always more concerned with their country and duty. You smiled at watching them reunite, happy for them. Children climbed on their fathers shoulders, heavily pregnant women eagerly hugged their husbands.
You were roughly pulled from your seated position, a calloused hand gripping your upper arm tightly and hauling you towards the docks. You did your best to fall into step beside him, tripping over your own feet as his pace was quick. “Keep up.” He grumbled as he looked back angerly at you before stopping once they had got to the red head you often saw Bakugou hanging around with. He was huddled close to a beautiful, bubbly woman holding a a newborn baby wrapped in furs. The two were cooing over the little thing before Bakugou walked over to them.  “Look at how beautiful she is, you really outdid yourself Mina.”
“Well you had a hand in it as well you know.”  You heard the woman giggle but you had no idea what they were saying so you just stayed put, catching your breath from that walk. Bakugou stayed put, looking down at the baby and you could have sworn you saw a light smile gracing his lips. However whatever was there was gone just as quick.  “She is beautiful.” Bakugou agreed and looked at the two. “Congratulations. A new child is a wonderful thing.” “Who is she?” Mina asked, peeking around Kirishima to get a better look at the woman Bakugou was holding onto so tightly.  “Oh don’t worry about her, I’ll explain later.” Kirishima whispered to her before Bakugou drug her along and she stumbled to keep up. You didn’t dare speak up, not wanting to be embarrassed in front of people you didn’t know. It took a bit but soon you made it to a very big long house where many people seemed to be convening and all were smiling at Bakugou, saying words that you didn’t understand and clapping him on the back. You were sure they were all congratulating and thanking him for a raid well done. You got many curious looks as well, however Bakugou didn’t divulge that information to anyway.  There was a large feast prepared, everyone sat in the great hall laughing and feasting. You were set next to Bakugou, picking at your food because you were just too nervous to do much else. Of course you felt out of place, you didn’t understand any of the conversations going on and the only person who you could speak to seemed much more interested in other things. However a bit after this feast started Bakugou stood up and everyone silenced, even the children were quiet in the presence of their earl.  “We are gathered here to celebrate our great raid!” Bakugou yelled out into the crowd, even if it was quiet he felt the need for such celebration. Everyone yelled out, taking drinks and laughing amongst themselves. “We had a very succesful raid and we shall make it through the winter, if not longer! We did strike a deal with the King of Wessexs. He offered us riches and land in exchange for our army should he need it. We also have his daughter, who I am to marry.” He didn’t say the last part quite happily but it was what it was. He was to marry this girl and that was that. “Now weather or not we uphold our part of the deal is to remain seen. After all if he is going to drag us into a lengthy and pointless war we will not participate, and deal with those repercussions later.” At that the men laughed. “Now eat, drink, celebrate our return and our new riches!”
You hadn’t understood anything that he’d said but you assumed that it had something to do with being back and some kind of pep talk you were sure. It didn’t take a genius to figure it out. Although while the men and women drank, celebrated and got a touch too feely with each other than you were used to you awkwardly sat and watched the festivities. Children running and playing, wives draping themselves over their husbands and some doing everything they could to welcome them back, men sitting around and talking with each other. Your husband to be was doing just that, drinking and talking with a few of the other men you’d seen him around often.
You felt out of place some eyes staring at you and definitely giving you the cold shoulder. You were an outsider, a stranger to their otherwise seemingly close knit unit. Even those who seemed to be servants ignored and moved around you. It had been a very long journey and an even longer night. You felt yourself falling asleep sitting up, while you had no idea where you are supposed to sleep. “Get up.” A gruff voice next to you grumbled and gripped your arm, hauling you up from your seated position. Your eyes opened as you stood and looked up at Bakugou. “You can’t fall asleep at the table. Come.” He commanded as he made his way towards a curtained off area. Once you got past the curtains there was an area with a bed, trunks, spare furs and treasures you hadn’t ever seen before. “You’ll stay here with me, in the bed.” Your eyes went wide at that, having never shared a bed with a man before. However you supposed that this man was going to be your husband.  You nodded before looking around the room and noticing that your one trunk wasn’t here, “Your things are not here... you can sleep in this.” Bakugou threw one of his tunics at you, and while it would be big on you it certainly wasn’t what you were used to and you’d be showing more than you were comfortable with. “I’ll turn around.” He rolled his eyes, grumbling and turning around.
“Thank you.” You whispered, although you knew that he would see it all soon enough you were grateful that he would at least give you this until that day came.
Days came and went, and most of them would have been spent alone had Bakugou not been so generous as to allow one of his men to escourt you around, it helped that he was also fluent in your language. He had joined the Vikings on one of their raids last summer and while some of the men still didn’t trust him he was loyal to them. His name was Shoto Todoroki and he was quiet but kind. He would translate conversations for you, although most of them held no interest for you however some did involve you and most of the women around were upset that you were taking Bakugou. However you weren’t exactly taking him, you’d been forced into this marriage just as much as he had. You also didn’t think that he’d been too interested in the women either.
No one wanted to speak to you, and it was lonely although you did have Shoto but there were times that he had other things to do and you didn’t want him to have to hang out with you all day. He was sweet and kind however and much more of a conversationalist than Bakugou. You would get occasional grunts and commands when you were together but that wasn’t often. He was always busy and kept you under watch whenever he was gone.
A week had gone by since you’d been in the Viking lands and it was time for your wedding. It had been planned quickly and all the traditions were so different from your own. The wedding was on a Friday, because it was Friggas day and she was the Goddess of marriage, love and fertility according to Shoto. You’d bathed in a bath house with Bakugous mother, Mitsuki, to wash away your status as a Maidan. It was usually done with married women of your family however none of your family was here so different arrangements were made. You quite liked Bakugous mother, she was not quite as brash and rude as her son but you saw where he got his personality from.
After your bath your hair was braided and ornaments were placed in it, another tradition you were not familiar with. You were dressed in a blue gown that had been made specifically for this wedding, it was simple as you’d been told your hair was more important than the actual dress. You’d picked up on a few words here and there, as well as Shoto had been teaching you some things. Especially what to say during the wedding, which was something you’d been nervous of.
Once the actual wedding started you were feeling nervous, walking down that long way towards Bakugous back, seeing him wearing his best furs and clothes. During the ceremony you did your best to pay attention, although you didn’t understand everything and just went along with what was happening. Exchanging rings, swords-which was strange for you-and a very chaste, first, kiss. Bakugou looked indifferent the entire time, and you felt much the same. You hadn’t gotten to know him since you’d been here, he was always off working with his people or solving their problems.
There was a large feast held afterwards with plenty of mead flowing and while you hadn’t ever tried the stuff before you decided why not, after all you had no idea what was to become of your wedding night but you had a feeling Bakugou was going to expect something. Where you came from no one spoke of it, however a few cheeky maids had let you in on the secret of losing your maidenhood. You were nervous but figured some liquid courage could help. You sputtered and choked at first, to which your now husband laughed at you for. “Didn’t expect you to want to drink.” He laughed, the mead loosening his tongue a bit. It was the most that he’d spoken to you in days.  “If I am supposed to be your wife maybe I should act like a Viking.” That got another laugh out of your husband who shook his head. This feast was quite a bit like allthe others every night but this one was bigger than the rest and there was much more alcohol flowing through it.
The night dragged on and soon enough you found yourself in Bakugous large bed, naked and surrounded by furs. He could tell you were nervous and so he took his time. Working you up, only to have you crashing down with such a force that you couldn’t explain. The maids might have told you about losing your maidenhood however they hadn’t spoke to it feeling like this. Just when you thought you couldn’t take anymore he proved you wrong. You didn’t think that it could feel like this, nor did you think Bakugou could be so gentle and nice. At the end of it you could hardly keep your eyes open and Bakugou cleaned you up and dressed you, covering you up with furs. He might not have wanted this marriage but he wasn’t going to be the biggest asshole in the world. At least not tonight.
A/N: I did my best to add in viking wedding traditions although it was a little hard because a lot of them involved thins with family and obviously reader does not have family here! Yes I decided to put Kirishima and Mina together, idk why it just seems like a good pairing to me and I’ve seen it in quite a few fics as well! Mina is also a warrior but she stayed behind because she was still pregnant at the time of the raid starting. Also when things are in italics that is when they are speaking the Viking language. Also I am not adding smut in because I can’t control if a minor is going to read this or not plus I am not good at writing it anyway haha. This got a little dry and boring in the middle, I apologize but The next part will start to get a little more angsty and juicy so I hope you’re ready!!

for @geminirules "Just Friends" collab
⎼⎼⎼⎼⎼⎼⎼⎼⎼⎼⎼⎼⎼⎼⎼⎼⎼⎼⎼⎼⎼⎼⎼⎼⎼⎼⎼⎼⎼⎼⎼⎼⎼⎼⎼⎼⎼⎼⎼⎼⎼⎼⎼⎼⎼⎼⎼⎼⎼⎼⎼⎼
Pairing: Jungwon x Fem!Reader
Genre: Fluff, Slight Angst, Friends to Lovers AU
Words: 3.63k
Warnings: Reader calls Jungwon a dick.
Synopsis: You are dared to pretend to be in a relationship with your best friend Jungwon. Initially, you go through with the childish challenge, knowing it will be insignificant to your friendship. But as the days pass, you begin to realise your true feelings for him. Will your revelations ruin your friendship? Or will something beautiful blossom because of them?
⎼⎼⎼⎼⎼⎼⎼⎼⎼⎼⎼⎼⎼⎼⎼⎼⎼⎼⎼⎼⎼⎼⎼⎼⎼⎼⎼⎼⎼⎼⎼⎼⎼⎼⎼⎼⎼⎼⎼⎼⎼⎼⎼⎼⎼⎼⎼⎼⎼⎼⎼⎼
"I dare you to pretend like you're dating Jungwon for a whole week."
You looked at your best friend with wide eyes, a similar expression of surprise on his face. There was no way you were going to do that. It would be way too awkward.
"Come on y/n. Don't be a party pooper. It's not like you guys are going to fall in love."
Of course things wouldn't turn out that way. No matter what, nothing would change the way you saw Jungwon. He would always remain your best friend and nothing more.
Jungwon looked too embarrassed to say anything. Both of you knew it was just a dare. What was the worst that could happen?
"Fine. Starting tomorrow Jungwon's my unofficial-official boyfriend," you announced, linking your arm with his. Jungwon hid his face in his hands as everyone around you screamed and cheered. This was going to be one interesting week.
~
☀︎ DAY 1 ☀︎
Since you only had to put on a show in front of your friends, you figured the best thing to do would be to hang out with Jungwon in solitude. He didn't have a problem with your plan. You both had been having playdates together ever since you were three. He was comfortable being alone with you.
Both of you met at your secret spot. A small grove behind the schoolyard. It was a place the two of you had found while skipping classes one day. Ever since then, this was where you spent time together whenever you needed some peace and quiet.
"I can't believe you actually agreed to this," Jungwon said, mindlessly plucking the grass he laid on. You sighed, staring at the row of trees beyond. "A dare's a dare. Besides, we have nothing to worry about because we don't have feelings for each other."
Jungwon sat up. "You know that we can't avoid all of them for the entire week right? They're literally planning to hang out at the cafe just so they can see us in the act." He sounded worried. There was no need to be.
"Of course I know that. So what? We'll let them see what they want to. It's not like they're going to make us kiss or something. The most we'll do is feed each other and hold hands."
Unlike Jungwon, you had already thought everything out. You knew how far to go while respecting the boundaries of your friendship. All Jungwon had to do was trust you.
He cringed in disgust at your words. "You're going to pay for landing me in this mess. We've barely even started and I already feel so miserable."
You patted his shoulder, flashing him an assuring smile. "You're not alone in your miser mister. After this is over, I'll do all your homework for you."
Jungwon laughed. "Learn how to do your own first. Then you can come and ruin mine."
~
☀︎ DAY 2 ☀︎
As Jungwon had predicted, your friends called you out to the cafe. Both of you were supposed to show up together. Jungwon met you a block away from the cafe, looking incredibly reluctant. "Are you sure you want to do this," he asked, just about ready to turn back around.
There was a determined look in your eyes. "Remember when he had to play Hansel and Gretel's parents for that play we did in preschool?" Jungwon nodded. He could never forget that day. "If we managed to get through that, we can get through this without a problem."
That made sense. Appreciative of your pep talk, Jungwon took your hand and whisked you away to the cafe.
By the time you reached your destination, both your hands were sweaty. Jungwon was just as nervous as you were. Not only because you had to pretend like you were dating, but also because your friends weren't going to miss the opportunity to tease you.
Seeing you two enter hand in hand, everyone began hooting and cheering. Jungwon's cheeks flushed almost immediately. You had to drag him towards the table you were supposed to sit at. "It's nice to see you two arriving together," one of your friends said, making space for you.
Taking a seat, you watched in horror as they placed a glass of juice with two straws in front of you both. No one had to explain what its purpose was. You glanced at Jungwon whose eyes were fixated on the glass hesitantly.
"If we get this over with now we'll be at peace," you whispered, leaning forward to place one of the straws between your lips. You looked away when Jungwon did the same, feeling the heat in his face on your cheek. You were certain you had never downed a drink so fast in your life. It didn't take long for you to finish the contents of the glass, quickly sitting back up to catch your breath. Your friends couldn't seem to get enough of the event, laughing and clapping avidly.
"You guys are so cute," some said. "Both of you would make such a nice couple in reality," said others.
Sitting there amongst your terribly evil friends, you wondered how you were going to get through the next five days with Jungwon.
~
☀︎ DAY 3 ☀︎
Your friends had invited you to another escapade at the park. You couldn't tell what they had in plan this time but you were sure it wasn't going to be enjoyable. At least this time, you and Jungwon didn't have to show up hand in hand.
When you reached the park, Jungwon was already there. Your friends beckoned you over, making you stand next to him.
"Now that our subjects have arrived, here's your to-do list. First, remain holding hands the entire time we are here. Second, Jungwon, give y/n your jacket if she starts feeling cold. Third, walk her back home and make sure you give her a nice, sweet little kiss before she goes inside."
Jungwon let out a noise of surprise. He wanted to run as far as he could and never come back. Holding your hand was fine. He had gotten used to it because of the previous day. He didn't mind giving you his jacket, but you were already wearing one so he didn't see why he would find the need to. Jungwon could do many things. But kissing you was not one of them. It didn't matter if it was on your cheek, your forehead, or the back of your hand, because there was no way on earth that he would bring his lips anywhere near yours.
What neither of you realized was that your friends were willing to go to the farthest lengths to make sure you went through with their tasks. They made you two walk in front of them so that they could see your hands intertwined. When the sun went down and the air started getting colder, they made you take your jacket off so that Jungwon would be left with no choice but to give you his. Just when it seemed like your night of torture would come to an end, they even made you share a single cone of ice cream. When it was finally time to go home, two of your friends followed behind you to make sure that Jungwon did his bidding. It was awkward enough walking through your neighborhood hand in hand. Those who knew you cast looks of confusion and surprise upon you two. Eventually, you reached your doorstep. Jungwon let go of your hand, standing in front of you. He looked everywhere but at you, avoiding your gaze. You glanced behind your shoulder, rolling your eyes when you saw your two friends filming you from behind your neighbor's car. They weren't even attempting to be discrete.
"Hurry up and kiss me already. This is too embarrassing," you urged, slapping Jungwon's arm. He sucked in a breath, pressing his lips in a thin line. "Do you think it's not for me? I mean, I'm the one who has to kiss you for heaven's sake."
"Stop pitying yourself and just get on with it. The longer we stand here the more reason they'll have to punish us tomorrow."
Jungwon stared at you long and hard. He squeezed his eyes shut and leaned forward, pressing his lips onto yours without a second thought. You froze, eyes going so wide they might have popped out of your head. Even though it was probably only for two seconds, it felt like an eternity. Time froze as you stood in the foreign feeling of his lips on yours. He pulled away almost immediately, skipping down your driveway as fast as he could with a short wave and 'good night'. Still stunned, you entered your home, breaking into a smile when you closed the door.
~
☀︎ DAY 4 ☀︎
The next day, Jungwon asked you to meet him at your secret spot. So far, your friends hadn't made any plans to get you together. You saw Jungwon sitting in the middle of the grove, laying down on the damp grass as he usually did. Walking over, you sat down beside him, flicking his forehead so that he would open his eyes.
He grinned on seeing you, sitting up with a soft groan. "So, how was your night?"
You furrowed your brows at the question. It wasn't like him to ask you things like that. But you decided to overlook it. Maybe he was still feeling a bit awkward after the kiss you both hard shared the previous night.
You shrugged. "It was fine. How was yours?"
"I couldn't sleep," he revealed. It sounded like he'd been dying to tell you. "Why's that," you asked, believing that you had an idea of the reason.
"Last night scarred me," Jungwon shared, pretending to gag. You didn't know why, but hearing him say that made your heart sink. Suddenly, you felt horrible. "Was it really that bad," you asked, genuinely curious to know what he thought of it. Jungwon nodded, making you feel even worse. "It was worse than I thought it would be," he added. Your eyes started stinging. A lump formed in your throat and the longer you held it back, the more it hurt. You knew you hadn't been eager to kiss him, but you would argue about how 'bad' it was. But bringing that up right now would just be stupid. Jungwon would misunderstand where you were coming for and that would just lead to another disaster entirely. You had told yourself that you weren't going to let this dare get to you, but four days in you were already slipping. The longer you sat there, listening to Jungwon whine and complain about everything he'd had to do with you so far, the harder it became to control your emotion. Not able to take it anymore, you got up abruptly and ran away, leaving Jungwon sitting there extremely puzzled.
~
☀︎ DAY 5 ☀︎
You didn't respond to any of Jungwon's calls or texts. You didn't have it in you to face him. He would be disappointed if he found out the real reason behind your sappy mood. So you were gonna wait till you got over it before facing him.
You still couldn't believe that you had been so affected by Jungwon saying that he hated the kiss. Despite telling yourself that you disliked it too, you couldn't help but think otherwise. There was something so magical about it. You had never felt that way because of a kiss before. Whenever you thought back to it, an exciting warmth rippled through your mind. Your heart danced in glee and a wide smile formed on your lips.
But you weren't supposed to feel that way. Jungwon was your best friend. Besides, he hadn't kissed you willingly. You didn't understand why it felt so special to you when it clearly meant nothing to him. You knew you couldn't blame him for that. His mind was wired to see you as nothing more than a friend. You found it hilarious. Here you were, realizing that you probably liked your best friend after having continuously assured yourself and him that something like that would never happen. The sad part was that Jungwon would never reciprocate your feelings. You were all alone in this.
A knock sounded at your window, startling you. Slipping out of your reverie, you glanced towards it, eyes widening in surprise when you saw Jungwon crouched before it. You didn't think twice before letting him in. He entered your room and stood in front of you, crossing his arms over his chest. "You wanna explain what happened yesterday?"
You frowned and turned away shoulders slouching disinterestedly. "Is that what you came here for," you asked, regretting letting him in?
"Well did I have a choice? You've been blatantly ignoring me while all I've been trying to do is make sure you're alright," he said, stepping closer to you.
"I'm fine. If that's all you needed to hear, you can leave now," you replied. You didn't need him prying and prodding at you right now.
Jungwon stood his ground, clearly not satisfied with your answer. "No, you're not y/n. You aren't fine. Tell me what's bothering you."
You sighed and faced him. "Trust me, you wouldn't want to know."
Jungwon furrowed his brows. He didn't know what that meant. "I think I'll be the judge of that."
"It's you. You're bothering me," you spoke, narrowing your eyes at him. Jungwon hadn't been expecting that. But he didn't let the surprise show on his face. "What did I do?"
"You made me feel so worthless and undesirable. But that's not your fault. I can't blame you because you're right to think that way about me. I'm just pitying myself here and there's nothing you can do about it so please, just leave me alone." The tears were coming back again. You didn't want to break down in front of Jungwon. His face fell. He didn't know what to say to that. He thought you knew he was just being overdramatic. He seriously hadn't meant to hurt you. Before he could apologize, you turned to him. "I don't think I'll be good at keeping this a secret, so let me just tell you that I'm starting to catch feelings for you. If that makes you uncomfortable then you can leave. If you have something to say, just say it and go. But don't ask me why I feel the way I do because that's something I'm yet to figure out."
Jungwon was at a loss for words. He stood there, gaping at you like an open-mouthed fish before turning on his heel and exiting through your bedroom door. You heard your mother yelp on seeing him, probably wondering where he had shown up from. A part of you wished that he hadn't left, but the other was glad that he was gone. You felt like a fool for letting all of this happen. You should have never agreed to this dare. Who would have thought it would lead to something like this? There was nothing you could do now. There was no way you could change the way you felt. Because at the end of the day, it was as clear as ever, that you were undeniably in love with your best friend Yang Jungwon.
~
☀︎ DAY 6 ☀︎
Jungwon couldn't stop thinking about everything you had told him yesterday. He would never have imagined that you would catch feelings, especially through such a childish dare. Your friends had called you out to the park again today, but Jungwon wasn't going to go. He knew you wouldn't be there so there was no point. He wished he could tell you that he hadn't meant half the things he'd said about the kiss at the grove that day. He was just trying to show you that the kiss hadn't made him feel some type of way. Not just that, but he was also attempting to persuade himself that he indeed had loathed it. Maybe he should have been truthful instead of lying about it.
This was exactly what he'd been afraid of. Jungwon was always fond of you. He cared for you and he wouldn't lie when he said that he loved you. But the more he thought about it, the more he realized that maybe he felt that way because he thought of you as more than a friend. Jungwon didn't want to convince himself that he liked you just because you had confessed to him. He wanted to understand the way he truly felt about you.
He knew every little thing about you. No one knew you as well as he did. Jungwon cherished your friendship and the time he spent with you. Whenever anything bugged him, he always came to you, knowing that you were the only person who could make things better. He relied on you more than anyone else. He couldn't go a day without speaking to you. After yesterday, he realized how important you were to him. The fear of losing you ate at him the longer he stayed away from you.
Jungwon hated knowing that you were sad. It hurt more to know that he was the reason behind it. He wanted nothing more than to hug you and apologize for making you feel bad. He felt guilty for everything he had done. It had only been a couple hours since he had last spoken to you, but it felt longer. He missed you so much.
So he left you a text, asking you to meet him at your secret spot. He kept his phone close, waiting till you replied. But you didn't. You probably wanted nothing to do with him. Nonetheless, he still hoped and prayed that you would give him one last chance to make things right again. He couldn't afford to lose someone as special as you. There was nothing for him if he didn't have you.
~
☀︎ DAY 7 ☀︎
Jungwon laid in the grass, staring at the dull sky above. It was filled with clouds, hiding the sun. The grove felt so big and endless when he was alone. When he was with you, it was much more cozy and bright, even if the atmosphere was gloomy.
He had been waiting for you for quite a long time now. You hadn't replied to his message last night, but he knew you had seen it. Just before he was about to lose hope, he heard the grass crunch a few feet away from him. Jungwon didn't have to look to know it was you. No one else knew the path to get here.
"What do you want," you asked, voice small but laced with malice. You were cross with him. Jungwon wished to change that today. He patted the space next to him. "Let's not pretend like we hate each other. You could do the worst thing to me but I'd still admire you."
You didn't argue and sat down beside him. Other than the tension in the air, everything felt normal. There was a scowl on your face. It must have taken a lot of convincing for you to come here. Jungwon needed to get to the point.
"I'm sorry about everything I said. I didn't even mean half of those things."
You scoffed. "Oh really? They sounded pretty heartfelt to me."
Jungwon sat up. "I was just trying to enforce the idea that I wasn't into you, on myself," he revealed, hoping that you would forgive him. "And being a dick was the only way you could do that? Jungwon, you weren't the only one who was attempting to suppress their feelings," you refuted.
"I know y/n. And it's my fault for not realizing sooner," he admitted, hanging his head. You sighed and shook your head. "This is so immature. I can't believe we're letting a stupid dare get in the middle of our friendship."
Jungwon chuckled darkly. "Maybe it's a sign that our friendship has run its course."
You turned to him. "What is that supposed to mean?"
Jungwon smiled. "I gave it some thought yesterday. We're both attempting to be in denial of our feelings. Obviously, that isn't working out. If it wasn't for this dare, they would've remained buried deep down somewhere. But I guess you could say everything happens for a reason." He took your hand in his, intertwining your fingers. "I never realized how much I loved this feeling until I had to go a whole two days without it."
You couldn't even hide your smile. "Where is this going Jungwon?"
"Maybe we should give this a chance. Give us a chance. Who knows? It could turn out the be the best thing that's ever happened to us," he said, meeting your eyes.
"And what if it doesn't? We would be throwing so many years of friendship away."
Jungwon shook his head. "How long are we supposed to contradict how we truly feel about each other? That would take a heavier toll on us."
You laughed, squeezing his hand. "It doesn't hurt to try I guess."
Jungwon beamed. "That's the spirit!" It felt nice to see you smiling at him again. He was grateful for that. It was funny how a large part of his mood depended on you. If you were happy, he was happy. If you were sad, he was sad. His entire world revolved around you, and Jungwon knew the best thing to do was strengthen that bond.
"So, will you be my girlfriend," he asked, smiling cheekily. You bit your lip, looking at him through your lashes. "Of course I will."

He Meets Your Older Brothers ~ Jeon Jungkook
Tumblr media
It was the day you had dreaded since the moment you told your family that you had found yourself a boyfriend, and more specifically, an idol boyfriend. You’d put off Jungkook meeting your family for as long as you could, but on the one weekend all of your brothers were home, it was time for something to happen.
“What’s the worst that could happen?” Jungkook boldly asked throughout most of the week whilst the two of you prepared to introduce him to your three, very protective brothers.
“You don’t know them like I do,” you’d reply every time.
Despite their best attempts to smile, when they found out who you were dating, they were far from impressed. They’d worried about you since the day you were born, and as you gained your independence, they only worried more.
Whilst Jungkook was confident that he’d be able to impress all three of them, you were a little more reluctant. It was going to be a lot for him, no matters how many times he tried to assure you that he’d be able to handle everything that came his way.
He knew you were terrified; you’d given him enough pep talks over the past few days that he was sure he could find the right thing to say regardless of any situation. “I’m just going to be myself, what more can I do to impress them?”
It was him being himself that definitely had your siblings worrying about you, they knew all about idols, the travel, the time, and how busy they’d be, and how busy he’d be for you too.
His eyes were focussed on you for the entire drive across the city to head to your parent’s house, noticing still how anxious you were. “Why do I feel like this is make or break for us today?”
“What? No.” You sighed, loosening your grip on the steering wheel, “it’s not, but it’s still a huge deal to me to make sure that you get along with all my family.”
Jungkook’s head nodded back at you, moving his hand across to rest against your leg. “Just trust me, I know how to handle myself, and I know how to handle your brothers too.”
He couldn’t lie, when you first told him that you had three elder brothers, he was terrified, but he knew that it was never a big enough deal to change how he felt about you. He’d make sure that he had your brothers on side, even if it was the last thing that he did.
Yet, as he recognised that you were getting closer towards your parent’s home, a small bout of nerves certainly did begin to kick in for Jungkook. Although he knew things would be fine, there were three men just a few minutes away who were going to judge him hard.
He’d made the perfect impression with all the members of your family that he’d met so far, but none of them had ever been as important to you as your brothers. Not just for your sake, but also for the sake of them finally getting off of Jungkook’s back.
As soon as you pulled up onto your parent’s drive, you noticed the front door opening, and the eldest of your three brothers walking out to greet you both. Jungkook confidently walked up to him, holding his hand out for him to shake.
You stood back nervously and watched as the two men exchanged a glance, “it’s nice to finally meet you, I’m Jungkook,” he spoke up with a wide smile on his face.
“I’ve heard a lot about you,” your brother then spoke up, “I’m Y/B/N, but I’m sure Y/N has told you plenty about me too,” he added, inviting Jungkook to follow behind him into the house.
You quickly locked the car before following behind them both, trying to keep as good of an eye as you could on Jungkook as you noticed him stood with your other two brothers too as they introduced themselves, staring anxiously.
As you watched on, your mother appeared at your side, resting a hand against your shoulder, “don’t be so nervous about it all.”
“I just don’t want things to go wrong,” you whispered.
Her head shook back at you, “I’ve put them on their best behaviour. They’re just protective Y/N, you know that. But I’m sure they’ll love Jungkook just like all of us do.”
“I really hope you’re right,” you sighed, walking off to greet everyone else.
After you’d greeted your family and Jungkook had reacquainted himself with the rest of your family, your brothers invited him into the garden. You stayed at Jungkook’s side as he went out, sitting beside him on the grass.
“I’m sure you won’t be surprised to learn we have a lot of questions for you,” the youngest of the three spoke up, “and we’ve got a lot of doubts about all of this too.”
“Ask me anything, and I’ll be happy to answer,” Jungkook smiled.
Whilst you knew the conversation was inevitable, as you sat back and listened to your brothers grill Jungkook on his intentions, future goals, and so much more, you couldn’t help but cringe. They wanted every last piece of information they could get out of him.
“As an idol, how can we be sure that your attention will be on Y/N and not the millions of fans that you have screaming your name?” You overheard your middle brother question.
“Fans are fans,” Jungkook stated, “I make sure to keep that professional.”
With each question that came, Jungkook made sure to answer it with plenty of respect and honesty. Despite a small fire of frustration hitting him with a few of the questions that came, he was all too aware that he had to smile through it for your sake, and your relationship too.
Every so often, you’d catch his eye glancing across at you to make sure that he was doing the right thing, relieved each time that he saw you nodding your head back at him.
“Will you have enough time for Y/N, or is she going to end up being alone a lot?” The eldest then questioned, refusing to give Jungkook even a second to breathe.’
“I’ll be spending as much time as I possibly can with your sister,” Jungkook responded, “but I can’t lie, there might be times when I’m not able to dedicate as much time to her as perhaps I might like.”
“Interesting,” your brother mumbled back at him.
“I’ll always try my best though,” Jungkook quickly added, sensing that the response wasn’t quite what they were looking for, even if he was only telling them the truth.
After plenty more questions, your brothers finally began to ease up on the questioning, one by one making their way back into the house to give the two of you some space back together.
“I’m sorry,” was all you could say as Jungkook let go of a sigh, following the three of them until they closed the door behind him.
Jungkook’s head shook back at you, he was sure that there would be plenty more doubts and questions to come but judging by the small hints of a smile on all three of their faces, he was sure he’d done enough for now to ease any doubts that they had.
His arm moved to wrap around your shoulders once you were finally alone again, “I expected nothing less from them, you don’t need to apologise. I’d do the same if I was in their position.”
“It could have been worse,” you sighed, resting against his shoulder, “you’re still here, and you’ve not been thrown out, so I think that’s a good sign.”
“I wouldn’t be going anywhere even if they wanted to throw me out,” he assured you, “I told you that none of this would change that I wanted to be with you.”
You smiled up at him, “I know, it’s just such a huge deal to me.”
“I understand, but now you have nothing to worry about.”

Dream SMP Recap (May 23/2021) - Turtle Hatching
Foolish wonders whether to take Quackity’s offer and join him in Las Nevadas.
Later, Bad guides two turtles through the ups and downs of their relationship as they navigate the turbulent and emotional experiences found in life, love, marriage and parenthood.
A brief summary of the week’s total events can be found at the end of the post.
---
VOD LINKS:
Foolish
Tubbo
Jack Manifold
BadBoyHalo
Michaelmcchill
---
- Foolish continues wondering if he should join Quackity. Whether or not Foolish joins, he won’t be done with his summer home.
- There are good and bad sides to both options. Las Nevadas is both risk and reward, and Foolish is torn
- Knowing Eret, he’d probably tell Foolish not to join
- He also still has the deal he made with Ranboo about the shulker box
- Foolish finishes building the massive pyramid at his summer home
- Tubbo comes on to work on Bee ‘n’ Boo with Ranboo, getting materials
- Tubbo and Ranboo rob Foolish of a few blocks from his floor while he tries to render in the view from the pyramid
- Foolish goes to Snowchester to do some very mild griefing in revenge, breaking a few blocks from the floor and stripping many logs
- Tubbo and Ranboo go back to steal the beacon, but instead Tubbo just steals the same blocks of the floor that Foolish filled in
- Ranboo starts chasing him through the Nether. Foolish returns to the summer home to see that they stole some of his floor again
- Maybe this is why Foolish needs to change his ways a little bit, maybe join Las Nevadas for more balance
- He decides to take a visit. Maybe the Tubbo-Ranboo situation was the final push. Along the way, he finds that the portals have been messed up and deals with them
-  He knows the others like Puffy and Eret wouldn’t approve of him joining Q, so he won’t tell them. Foolish reaches Las Nevadas. He’ll stay here...at least for a little while
- Jack Manifold continues to work on his pub
- Bad adds a llama to his collection
- These llamas are the population of L’Sandburg. Some llamas will be the L’Sandburgian Army, others will join the L’Sandburgian Council. Some will be simple citizens
- He checks on the L’Sandburg nature preserve and thinks there should be more turtles. He burns his weednip and goes to find some seagrass
- Bad plays matchmaker with two turtles named Shelly and Sheldon, two turtles from opposite sides of the island. Sheldon is nervous about Shelly not liking him and Bad gives him a pep talk
- Shelly and Sheldon go on a date! It goes well! Afterwards, Sheldon is nervous about a second date, but Bad gives him advice -- if Sheldon gets so worried about it not working out, he might end up sabotaging his own relationship anyway
- Sheldon agrees, and Bad calls Shelly on the phone to tell her that Sheldon is interested in a second date. Shelly has moved house
- Michael logs on to build a house and Bad searches for nametags
- While Bad was gone, Sheldon gained his confidence and went on ten more dates with Shelly! They even moved in together, and Sheldon wants to propose!
- Bad gives relationship advice to Sheldon, telling him that Shelly probably doesn’t want a big public proposal as such an event might put a lot of unexpected pressure on her
- Both people in the relationship should have some idea that a proposal might be coming soon so that both people are comfortable knowing that the other person will likely say yes. Sheldon tells Bad that he believes they are at that stage already
- They discuss ideal places to propose in a less public spot. Sheldon assures Bad that they both have a solid idea of what they want their future to be as a family.
- Bad gives Sheldon a rose bush to propose with and sends Sheldon on his way, unbelievably proud of them both
- Bad asks Sheldon what Shelly said afterwards, and Sheldon says...
Shelly said yes!
And Sheldon wants Bad to wed them together!
- Bad tells Sheldon that he would be honored to. Sheldon wants a sudden marriage so that they can become officially married and go off to live together
- Bad does the vows. The turtles both say I do
“Then, by the power vested in me through the Dream SMP and that shiny pyramid with all that shiny gold that I might take later...I now pronounce you both: a husband turtle and a wife turtle. Shelly and Sheldon, you may proceed to smooch!”
- Bad says his parting words to them and gives the couple some honeymoon gifts, giving them roses, chicken, and feeding them seagrass. He leaves, telling them to have fun
- Bad sings about true love for a bit, then goes back to find a bit of XP on the beach. He’s confused and goes to find Shelly and Sheldon, discovering that Sheldon has laid eggs and is now staying to guard them!
- Bad helps Sheldon guard the eggs while Shelly is away
- He then goes back to Shelly to find that Shelly went out to buy a carton of milk when she got lost. But when he and Shelly return to the eggs, they find that Sheldon isn’t there, so Bad leaves to go find him. He must have gone to get groceries too!
- Bad gently tries to get Shelly and Sheldon to stop yelling at each other in front of the eggs
- He protects the eggs and then goes looking for the two again, asking a cat in a boat if they had seen Sheldon
- Bad finds Sheldon swimming near the eggs. He tells Sheldon he checked her house but Shelly wasn’t there. He finds Shelly by the pyramid and is shocked to hear that she doesn’t want to see Sheldon anymore
- He returns to Sheldon, telling him he tried his best. Shelly needs her space and they need to take care of the eggs in the meantime
- A wandering trader nearly destroys the eggs, so Bad murders him. He starts building an enclosure for the eggs
- Bad finds Sheldon and tells him that he’s getting frustrated that he’s taking care of the eggs and Sheldon’s off doing whatever he wants. He tells Sheldon that he’s a jerk and that he’ll keep watching the eggs, sending Sheldon on his way
- Bad leaves the eggs to look for Shelly. He finds Sheldon swimming near Shelly’s house, and is overjoyed to hear that Sheldon is hoping to patch things up with her. But he doesn’t think she’ll have him back
- Bad assures Sheldon that they’ll find her. He reminisces on Sheldon’s bachelor days, finding Shelly and bringing them both back to the egg enclosure. Shelly confesses to Bad that she’s worried Sheldon will still be mad, that she messed up
- Bad tells Shelly that Sheldon wants her back and acts as a mediator between the two. He gets the two to talk calmly with each other.
- He asks what problems they have with each other. Sheldon is mad about the toothpaste cap. Shelly has a problem with Sheldon’s breath. Bad points to the fact that the two are holding flippers -- there’s obviously a connection here
- There may be differences in the ways they want to raise their kids, but there was a spark there, and the kids would want to grow up with both of them. Bad can see it in the way they look at each other, and nothing they’ve said is anything they can’t work on together
- At the end of the day, this relationship can only work if both of them are willing to put the work in, and it seems like both are willing, then Bad sees no reason why they can’t be together forever
- Shelly and Sheldon agree, and Bad is elated. He builds them a new room together. They’re going to be one happy family
- Now, Shelly and Sheldon are sharing the responsibilities of taking care of the kids. Sheldon tells Bad he’s worried that he won’t be a good parent, but Bad tells him that he can always ask for help from other turtles in the community for advice
- It’s going to be difficult, and Sheldon won’t be the perfect parent, but at the end of the day, he cares about his kids and that’s what matters. Everything will be fine
- Bad waits a long time for the eggs to finally hatch, but they do:
The children are named Shelby and Snappy!

Ram Sweeney x Reader || Headcanons
Tumblr media
Topic: Dating HC's
Notes:
*Sigh*... I write regularly write for creeps like Freddy Krueger and Offenderman... and am one of the few tumblrs that write for Sheriff Hoyt romantically... and yet Kurt and Ram are my real guilty pleasure characters.
Anyway I hope someone other then me wanted this XDD I'm gonna do a Kurt one too.
Warnings: Some NSFW but not explicit.
Your song: The Way I Loved You (Taylor Swift)
He respects my space and never makes me wait
And he calls exactly when he says he will
He's close to my mother, talks business with my father
He's charming and endearing and I'm comfortable
...
But I miss screaming and fighting and kissing in the rain
And it's 2:00 a.m. and I'm cursing your name
So in love that you act insane
And that's the way I loved you
Breakin' down and coming undone
It's a roller coaster kinda rush
And I never knew I could feel that much
And that's the way I loved you
You two as a TV/Movie/Book couple: Bianca Piper and Wesley Rush (The DUFF)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Having the kind of relationship that no one else understands at all. Like, you have nothing in commen except commen history and your feelings for each other (Which are, on the other hand, totally clear to everyone) but when you're together you're always laughing and being affectionate.
Being in an on and off relationship throughout middle school and highschool- but never and I repeat; Never, is anyone permitted to mess with you at all. Because Ram always considers you his, even when you arent together.
So yeah, you always have 2 (Ram, and Kurt) large football star bodyguards at your disposal.
Being very playful together.
SOOOOoooooo much PDA. Including: Making out in the hallways and at school events like football games (You dont care who sees), sitting in his lap or at least squished close to his side at lunch, him throwing you over his shoulder to carry you places, him giving you piggy back rides, him picking you up and twirling you around, him just standing behind you with his arms around your waist and his chin rested on your shoulder when he's bored (With everything but you), his arm being over your shoulders as you walk together, you wiping peanut butter on his nose to get a rise out of him and then running away so he'll chase you, you peppering his face with kisses to make him laugh, etc.
Having a turbulent relationship. Because while, when all is well you two are like peanut butter and jelly and seem like the perfect highschool sweethearts, when you arent it's because Ram has gotten really jealous over something and called you a terrible name (Skank, whore, slut, bitch- any of those) or you understandably got irritated by his bullying and/or being a perverted, sexist asshole and you have huge, blow out fights in the middle of school and by the end of the period the whole student body knows about it.
You give him the silent treatment and the cold shoulder after those (If you didnt break up, that is) and he sends Kurt to give you messages.
When you make up its because he sincerely apologises although he doesn't 100% understand what he did wrong which becomes part of the next fight.
As you've been together so very long, he is basically part of your fucking family. He's so familiar and casual with your parent/s and/or sibling/s. They love him so much that, whether you're with him at the time or not, they allow him into the house and your bedroom with a cup of tea and snacks. (Its the 'American dream' popular-boy / football-star thing.)
So yeah, sometimes when you're mad at him or he wants to get back together (Which generally you want to do, to. You honestly have the same biological timer. Its like, 3 weeks pass by of being broken up and then ding ding ding! You both get the feelings its time to get back together and start sharing grins in the hallway and talking to your friends about eachother) you'll just find him waiting for you in your room when you come home.
Hanging out a looooooot with Kurt. Movie nights at your place, hanging out at the mall together on weekends sneaking out to see them at the football field at night time, etc. When you're sad, they'll both turn up wherever you are to cheer you up, too! Goofballs.
This does not mean there arent times where Ram shoo's Kurt off, though, when you two want some alone time together (*Eyebrow wiggles*) because of course. I'm just saying, you're a close-knit group.
When you are alone together, not much changes from when you're around others honestly XD You're still just as playful and affectionate. You just, you know, also have sex.
When he's down, you rusk your graceful image and climb through his bedroom window to be there with him. You dont fuck, you dont even really kiss. You just climb into bed with him and he'll tuck you under his chin and close his eyes. Legit old married couple. And you two sleep- by morning, he usually feels better and refuses to let you get out of bed with him.
"Five more minutessssss, babe!" He whines, holding you against him and pressing kisses to your head. You know he'll just say that again in 5 minutes time- and over, and over, and over again.
"Oh- no. I've been caught in this trap before Ram. We have school, so we have to get up. Come on!" You push firmly at his stomach (or abs) with your fists; not that that does much as he just just groans or gathers your little wrists in one big fist to stop you (Either way he certainly doesn't even flinch). His eyes are still closed. You sigh.
Now you have two choices, you can either give in and snuggle back into him for the rest of the morning, or threaten to send an attack towards his groin and he'll literally fling himself outta bed. Like "OH LOOK AT THE TIME- Kurt's gonna be waiting for us outside. Lets go!"
There are also mornings that you wake up with him (No sad Ram the night before necessary) and are all too happy to stay there with him. You just adorably nod into his chest, eyes still closed and making the cutest half-asleep morning sound when he asks if you wanna stay here a bit longer and he happily pulls the blanket over both your heads; shielding you both from the real world for a while.
OKAY MOVING ON FROM THAT FLUFFINESS.
You are also the only person who has any sort of control over him and Kurt. Like you can take them down a few pegs with just a look.
You two do date other people when you're broken up but its clear to anyone watching that these are just nice place holders for eachother. Neither of you are ever as happy with others as you are with eachother. You're ridiculously in love, actually.
Ypu were the first one to say I Love You, and he immediately called Kurt for guidance XD
Places you've had sex (Because it is always the full monty with Ram): Both your bedrooms so so so many times, the school bathrooms, his car, Kurts car (Kurt was NOT pleased.), the back of the football field, under the bleachers during a game or pep rally (he was benched for being too violent) + under the bleachers during practise + under the bleachers when the football field is deserted, the back of the school, the faculty parking lot at school, Kurts and Heather Chandler's houses (Parties. Basically a Westerburg High party is not complete without Y/N L/N and Ram Sweeney breaking in someones bed), his parent's car, the woods, cow pasture (a picnic blanket was used), and finally some mall changing rooms.
You leave him messages on his answering machine. He listens to every one of them (Which means something because he doesnt listen to anyone elses, unless he's gotta get through them to get to yours).
Him being SUCH a jealous asshole (With everyone except Kurt).
HIM STANDING UP TO THE HEATHERS FOR YOU.
#PromKingAndQueen
Having Kurt "Smartest guy on the football team," Kelly be your (Occasionally, live in- yes, he has slept over with the two of you on the floor so he could break up fights) couples councellor. Often his advice is 'fuck it out' but he also comes up with oddly wise shit sometimes. Mostly he's just very exasperated though. Like, its obvious you two are gonna end up together- stop bothering me with this shit. Let me get some pussy for myself guys please-
You two getting a bit frisky on movie nights with Kurt and he throws stuff at you. He just starts bringing a pool noodle (That he drew an angry face onto) along with him and hitting y'all with it whenever he feels its necessary. Cuz I mean, on one hand, of course he's happy for his bro Ram that he's getting his dick wet, but on the other- ITS FUCKIN MOVIE NIGHT, PULL YOURSELVES TOGETHER FOR T W O S E C O N D S (Oh the irony- it does indeed escape him). He'll park his ass right in the middle of you two if you keep it up.
If he had survived, you and Ram would have broken up after graduation and spent college apart, before bumping into each other again back home as new (Improved. Especially him) people that fit together better now and ended up getting back together for good.
