yeah, we knew that. but there’s something so poetically tragic about it too? despite falling to the planet and being made to save it, he will always be an inch away from acceptance. never landing, never connecting with its pull of gravity. maybe it’s his alien blood that marks him as a spacething, or maybe it’s the lack of authenticity to his design.

shadow can crash through the atmosphere but he will never have what sonic has. he will never be made of the planet, its own handcrafted guardian who never fails to protect it. sonic saves the planet from terrestrial beings all the time, but what about shadow? shadow alone has only ever been able to prevent harm which comes from the stars, the place he is from… not the monstrosities of mobius.

so yeah. sonic IS the real ultimate lifeform, guardian of the planet and its people. that is HIS world. and while the wind carries him just as it is him, his feet still touch the ground.

but shadow hovers. his own superability rejects him from the role he thought he had. reach but never touch.

A rock thought to be a meteorite crashed through the roof of a residential home in New Jersey's Hopewell Township on Monday (May 8) at around 1 p.m. EDT (1700 GMT).
