This may be my last headcanons list, my friends. Will still do art and stuff but I am fresh outta ideas.

Sub Tribes - KPop/Reggaeton/Yodelers/Chaz etc. there's not many of them around because they came from overseas.

King Peppy - Didn't tell Poppy about Viva because he was in the early stages of dementia. (Canon?) For a while he thought Poppy WAS Viva. By the time he realised his 'mistake', Poppy was already grown.

Vacay Island - the brothers sometimes help Bruce at his restaurant. They have name tags with funny 'work names'. Flood, Big Fish, Classy, and Big Brunch. Viva and Poppy have done the odd shift as well, as Pinky and Vista. 😝

Brozone - they became world famous, argued and left BEFORE the cage went around the Pop Troll Tree. (Canon?)

Brozone - there was a rumoured 'unfinished' Brozone song that was supposed to be released after that tour. John finally finishes it and the brothers offer to sing it for Poppy's bridal entrance song. Poppy immediately faints. In my head the song is 'Helpless When She Smiles' by The Backstreet Boys

Brozone - whatever the Trolls equivalent of the Superbowl is, I feel like Bruce and JD would be very into it. Jerseys and face paint and everything.

Bruce - cameras make him self-conscious. If he is in a group he can tolerate it but hates being the only one in the photo.

Bruce - has caught his kids trying to do the Brozone dance routines. He tries to stay out of it best he can and let them have their fun but then they ask him to teach them and doesn't he just melt.

Bruce - has a wedding ring but it is Vacationer sized. He keeps it in his hair mostly but will braid it into his hair like an accessory for special occasions.

Bruce - 100% certain Poppy and Branch's first born would be a boy. "We're a family of five brothers! It took Brandy and I thirteen tries to have a daughter. Trust me, I have no doubt your first egg will absolutely be a boy." *They have a girl* Bruce 😑

Floyd - can only sleep comfortably near an open window. Sometimes can only sleep sitting up.

Floyd - will randomly stare off into space or mutter to himself.

Floyd - *clears throat* I ship Floom! 💕🏳️‍🌈

Floyd - can't stick to new hobbies for very long, he hyperfixates for a week or two then gets bored. Macrame, candle making, soap making, jewelry making, photography are some examples.

Clay - his brothers collectively tried to convince him that he was the adopted brother.

Clay - is quite squeamish. The sight of vomit, open wounds and bodily fluids; Clay will absolutely pass out. Snotty babies make him very uncomfortable.

Clay - gets Viva to braid his hair out of his face only when something really serious is happening *cracks neck* "Viva?" "Yah?" "Braid me" "Yes, Sir." Shwoooop

Clay - Found out the Classical Trolls have a library larger the Pop Village. "Viva, they have a whole wing dedicated to tragedies! Tragedies, Viva!"

Clay - okay, so he and Viva have never been a couple, even if he ever considered it, their work came first and he didn't want to jeopardize what they had. Buuuuuuuttt the thought that another Troll could one day be Viva's person, that she would go to them instead of him for comfort or ideas or laughs or safety or hugs... it makes Clay feel... weird.

Clay - at some point is named some kinda Troll magazines most eligible bachelor. Bro was in a boyband, co-runs a society of survivors, runs a business, is close friends with royalty, has been knighted, has a license to practice accounting and was part of the only known Perfect Family Harmony. He's apparently a hot commodity now.

John Dory - takes night classes to finally get his highschool diploma. Is too embarrassed to tell anyone until he graduates.

John Dory - doesn't get sick often. But when he does, he keeps going to the point of exhaustion.

John Dory - has indeed crossed paths with Delta Dawn before. Both of them have very different versions of the story. "I serenaded her." "The fool was whining something from the inside of a jail cell."

John Dory - has been known to sleep with his eyes open. Freaks people out.

John Dory - will drink milk straight from the carton and put it back in the fridge.

John Dory - teaches Bruce's kids all the swear words and does in fact tell them his rendition of where eggs come from.

Viva - tries to hide sadder feelings from Poppy. Worried that Poppy won't want to hang out with her if she isn't fun.

Poppy - sometimes feels guilty, if things had been different, Viva would have been Queen. Viva tries to reassure Poppy that she is "The right Troll for the role." 👍🏻 Also Viva tries to argue that they both technically get be Queens now anyway.

Guy Diamond - Trolls have eggs when they have powerful feelings of love. Guy Diamond was able to have Tiny because he loves himself so much.

Twist characters with a crush that loves making hand-made cards with motivational or loving messages (ex. "You are Enough!" "Every accomplishment starts when you first try!" "When you feel down remember all the people that love and care about you!") However, reader never gave one to them yet, they think reader hates them. Then, when the go back to their dorm they see a huge card with a bunch of pictures of their accomplishments with a special note from reader.

You work with the yearbook! Thus you work with the camera a lot, and it just so happens everyone wants their photos taken. However, you have always liked taking photos of your crush when they asked and when you could for official events. Will you be able to showcase your photography skills and hopefully make their day happier?

Jamil

To start off, he didn't expect to get anything since he knows most of his work goes unnoticed :/

He did wish he got something after seeing how much Kalim loved it. He basically shoved it in Jamil's face without even thinking about the possibility that the vice dorm leader may have a crush on you. Nonetheless, Jamil hid his feelings from everyone but secretly wished you would notice him haha

In reality, you were always looking at him whenever you two were in class and you would find yourself shyly running the other direction when he was walking towards you. Sure, you could say hi to your crush as well, but you were worried you might spill your guts by accident so you decided to make him a really nice card instead

Jamil came back from basketball to see a little note slipped under his door. It was a rather large note actually. Turns out you had made him almost a poster with some of the photos you had taken of him throughout the semester. The note had kind words, things about how you were so happy to have met him and how you admired all of the hard work he puts in everyday.

He totally freaks out, silently. Like he looks around, opens his door, shuts it quickly and just screams silently because of how excited he is to have gotten a card from you haha. Will he write one back? No, but he will try to talk to you one day and thank you for the letter, perhaps even ask you out

Malleus

He was a sucker for love letters, only a few people knew of this. He had always written people nice letters, either for special occasions like birthdays or for the holidays. However, he never received one. Malleus only realized this after seeing his crush give everyone around him a nice letter except him

Of course, he starts to worry. You two had been going on walks and reading books together in the library for some time. However, seeing that he was the only one without a letter starting to make him doubt your relationship with him. Did you find him scary? No, Malleus shook his head but he ended up overthinking again.

You were actually trying to give everyone a card because it was your hobby but saving up as much paper as you could to make a really big one for your crush (who was also your best friend). Malleus rarely had photos taken of him, but there would be times he would ask you for some when you two went out on walks (dates at this point lol). He never asked to give the photos to him, but you figured this would be the perfect opportunity.

One day, Malleus comes back from his classes and is probably ready to just hit the bed (fae get tired too!) but he notices a rather large piece of paper sticking out of under his door. Curiously, he reaches down and takes it.

Malleus is beyond surprised, he might've started a thunderstorm by accident. It's a lovely letter with words about how much you mean to him and he just laughs to himself at how cute and just plain lovely it is to have a crush love you back. Dang, this guy's spirits is going to be heavens high for a long time. Expect the card to be placed on a special shelf up high and for him to be smiling when he goes to class (everyone will be scared haha)

Azul

He's received letters but they're always about how the writer needs help in something. Azul was a sucker for romance, he just never thought it was practical and always told himself to focus on other things. Yet here he is, with a crush, and letter-less.

Azul thought he might've scared you off with his twin henchmen and with his slightly arrogant vibes. He just wanted to find a way to tell you that if anything, you made him feel wanted for once for who he was and not for his ability. You helped Azul come to terms with his past and let him feel comfortable being relaxed with you. Oh but how to tell you without screwing up?

In reality, Azul didn't have to tell you because you had a crush on him too. You loved him for his knowledge on almost everything and anything, but more importantly because he was hardworking and cared for you. He was dedicated to his passions and you wanted him to receive your best card yet

Azul entered his office to start sorting through the wishes that students had asked for. When he turned on the lights however, he noticed a large letter on his desk instead of his usual mess. Lo and behold, the letter he had waited for. Slowly lifting up the letter and opening it, he felt his heartbeat grow faster.

It was a collage of him from the photos you had took for his lounge, his work at school events, etc. The letter had words of love on it, telling him you loved him for who he was and that you were grateful to have met him. Azul may tear up a little, but he will make it a goal to tell you his feelings soon after reading the letter. The letter will go into his safe haha

Vil

He receives more fan-mails than he wants. He gets so many that he has a manager go through them and all. However, there was one letter that he was waiting on, specifically one from his crush — you

The two of you bonded over old films and often spent Friday nights cooped up watching films together. He loved those moments, but then he realized he loved them because he was spending time with someone who saw him as more than just an influencer/actor. You listened to him, let him be relaxed with you and that was just magical to him. But it seemed like you didn't want to write him anything.

This made Vil worry, perhaps he was always too arrogant in your eyes, or you saw him for the villain roles he had to play. But truth be told, you were worried the letter you wrote for him wasn't good enough. Shaking, you placed it under his door and ran off into the hallway, quickly saying hello to him when you whizzed by (you would rather not see his reaction to your creation since you were worried he wouldn't like your love confession)

Vil shrugged it off but then felt his heart stop when he saw the letter under his door. It was large, but that wasn't it. You had made a beautiful collage in the inside of the letter of the photos you had taken of him. In the middle was a handwritten note, one that spoke of how you thought he was beautiful because of his personality and not just his looks. You wrote at the end "I want to star in a romance movie, do you want to be my love interest?"

Vil will talk to you the next day about the movie but do it in the most suave way possible. You two will watch a movie as always, but he will place an arm around you and ask if this is the kind of movie you want the two of you to be in, a romance film. "I couldn't have said it better," he says. "I would love to star in the film with you as well."

⤷ we'll keep these memories with more than our hearts.

Most of his photos would consist of nature. It can span from simple pictures of the ocean or close-up shots of rare flowers he came across in gardens. On the rare occasion though, for the more special bunch, he likes to take photos of you. It comes to him whenever you’re not looking and when you’re traveling with him. He finds that the best ones always turn out to be the ones where it's unexpected.

When you first met him, you would have never thought he was a photographer. He looked more like a bookworm than anything else. He looked like someone who would knit cardigans and beanies. However, rest assured, this man (despite not looking like it) can take amazing photos. He would ask you to pose in different ways to enhance your stance or frame, and he would take full advantage of the situation to rest his hand against your waist. 

He’s very kind and soft with you, always giving you tips and advice with that smooth voice of his. He guides you carefully with his hands, never doing anything to make you feel uncomfortable. The last thing he wants is a photo you were not fond of. With his ability to come up with creative poses, it makes you wonder how long he’s been doing this for, and how many people he’s worked with.

He doesn’t have a very professional set up so don’t expect him to come out with a tripod or anything fancy. He likes using a digital camera that was passed down to him by his friend Tomo, who passed a long time ago. He says that one of his reasons for starting photography was to commemorate his friend, but also to remember the things he’s doing in day-to-day life. “You miss the small details in the mundane,” he would repeat, “best that we spend every moment appreciating what we have."

He keeps a lot of his works in an album that he carries around. He takes a marker and writes down the date and event just to make sure that he will never forget. On photos with you in it, he likes to draw hearts or cat whiskers on you. You would oftentimes tease him for having such cute habits. It wasn’t every day that you have someone so enamored by the littlest things about you. It made the time spent with him a little more special because it was being kept safe somewhere. You won’t be able to forget it with him around.

A small pet peeve you might have is when he takes photos of whatever he is eating. He’s one of those kinds of people. Though, he doesn’t mind if there are minor imperfections in the photo like a massive bite-sized mark being imbedded into his sandwiches. He thinks it adds to the charm. 

“Rest your hand here darling,” He whispers, placing your hands against your hip as he spreads your fingers out. You could feel his warm breath tickle the back of your neck. You swallowed a thick lump at the base of your throat, slightly nervous with the sudden intimacy. “Put your foot here. It would look nicer on camera when I shoot from an upwards angle.”

Very much wanna talk about any and all modern!aemond headcanons

Modern!Aemond • general headcanons

Hey friend!! sorry for the wait! Being back to teaching is putting a dent on my blorbo-thinking time lol. WE LOVE talking about modern Aemond in this house. These are just general likes of his! If you want headcanons on a specific scenario please do drop that in my inbox!! This Aemond is the same that I've written in all of my modern fics so far. X

As I’ve established in previous fics, he is a DOG DAD seriously. He loves his babies, Vaghar and Patch (even if Vaghar is an old lady now lol). He’d give his life for his dogs and he’s constantly fussing over them. 

Especially Vaghar because the older she gets, the more care she needs. She’s always been a chill dog and very calm, but as she gets older she starts to get anxious if either Aemond or you aren’t home. 

Aemond is also very athletic and into sports, and he has a super set routine that nothing will interfere with. He goes out for a run every morning (maybe except for Sundays) and he often takes the dogs with him.

He strikes me as the outdoorsy type – someone that prefers going hiking or running at the beach than going to a gym, and doing bodyweight exercises while out in the woods or the beach. Maybe he'd go to the gym like three times a week. This mostly because he likes being alone and would get overwhelmed at the gym with so many people around him, starring at his eyepatch.

So if he went to the gym I feel like he’d prefer to swim laps in the olympic pool. He strikes me as a very agile swimmer for some reason. 

I don’t know squat about sports (no pun intended) so I’m not sure what kind of sports he’d like to do or watch – I’m thinking fencing and soccer. 

If you’re into sports feel free to imagine him practicing them with you, however. 

I feel like working out is something that he really enjoys doing by himself. Yes he loves you with all his life, but he needs his alone time, which is healthy for the relationship as well.

I’m gonna self indulge here, i’m more of a yoga-doing type of person lol, so maybe you do yoga in the living room while he’s out running, and when he comes back he’s instantly salivating at the sight of you all bent up in your tight leggings. 

He’s a respectful king so he wouldn’t interfere with your exercise, but he does have the fantasy of just bending you over, grinding on you from behind and fucking in your sweaty workout clothes, right there on the living room floor. 

Maybe he does end up giving in on some days. Which leads to you fucking in the shower afterwards because you're all so sweaty and messy <3

Another thing that I tackled in one of my fics is that he loves analog media. 

One of his hobbies is probably analog photography. I feel like he’d be self-taught but would just have the chance of learning if there’s a workshop at a gallery/museum/cultural center. He definitely collects cameras and his favorite to shoot with is black and white film. 

And in the subject of analog media, he still collects VHS tapes. I’ve said before that he is a member of the (1) surviving video rental store in his city and he’s there constantly. Maybe if there's a movie he wants to watch but they don't have it in the store, he places a special order and because he's already good friends with the people there, they grant him that wish and import a movie from somewhere else. He of course covers the cost of it, no matter how much it may be.

And he loves movies in general. 

He’d be the type to watch directors like Sidney Lumet, Ingmar Bergman, Andrei Tarkovsky, Chantal Akerman, Werner Herzog, Wim Wenders, Akira Kurosawa and  John Cassavettes.

My spanish speaking brain is begging me to add Pedro Almodovar into the mix but I don’t know if it would be his thing. Maybe those are his guilty pleasures. 

I can’t unthink him as an Al Pacino fan lol! He watches Frankie and Johnny with you on special occasions like on valentine’s day. He loves 70’s Pacino but I feel like his favorite movie would be ‘Scent of a Woman’ because it hits close to home with Al playing a blind colonel. But I feel like he’d love ‘Heat’ with Robert De Niro and Insomnia with Robin Williams, which was directed by Christopher Nolan.  

As for music, I'm basing this on a friend of mine that’s kinda like Aemond, and is an engineer that is now studying film composing. He had such in depth knowledge of classical music and music theory, but was also into rock and metal. I do see Aemond liking oldies like Metallica, Mercyful Fate, Aerosmith, Led Zeppelin, but then also Muse, Måneskin, Bring me the Horizon, etc, along with a long repertoire of classical music and film scores. Maybe his favorite composer would be Ennio Morricone. 

These are the ones I could think of atm but I'm sure there I can come up with more!!
