A little Kafka Aside: I'm gonna have to consciously ignore how... not-there the scientific backing for this is. Honestly, this Memory Water thing reminded me of the New Age/Pseudoscientific idea of "water memory" or Masaru Emoto's "water consciousness" thing or DNA teleportation. However, this is a story where weirder shits have happened, so suspension of disbelief willingly and gleefully granted. I just need to get this out of my head first.

To reiterate, Kaibara's experimental procedure involves

Extracting cells from a person's body

"Turn" it into water (how?)

Make a "clone" drink it (who?)

Who could these clones be?

The only clones we know so far are the Mizuha clones. Their existence seems to imply a similar purpose to Hayase's descendants—they are supposed to inherit Hayase's Will, which is 95% "get injected with a tumor we call the Left Hand Nokker."

But Nokkers have long become invisible and fully integrated into this ecosystem. In the Future Era, they are embedded in tag chips, and they grant the bodies they possess all sorts of abilities and augmentations.

What would an inheritance of Hayase's Will even look like here? At first, I thought it would be similar: a tag chip with the Left Hand in it. Mizuha's, uh, possession (for the lack of a better word) manifested through the same mechanism other Nokkers used, after all.

However, the story gradually told us that the clones had all been massacred via an unknown operation for yet-untold reasons. Why would they do that?

Were these clones failures?

If they were failures, then it would make sense why Kaibara treated them as disposable; after all, in the past, the Guardians always exalted Hayase's Descendant(s) no matter how incompetent they were at their mission. Failure to secure Fushi's seeds I mean love never made them disposable enough to be killed, right?

So, as branetheory (crediting my homie even though they might not see this ahahhahah) also thought—

Could it be that Hayase herself has been successfully reincarnated in the body of one of these clones? (8)

I assigned this hypothesis an 8, or "80% confidence level."

Why would Kaibara need so many Mizuha clones in the first place? They only need one Descendant. They only have one Left-Hand Nokker...

Unless these clones were made specifically for bringing back Hayase. They were all experiments. Few experiments ever go right at the first trial. But this? Experiments this challenging and important as "recreating our legendary progenitor, Hayase?"

It will definitely require a lot of trial and error. So these clones were made to be expendables.

Honestly, who would name their offspring with numbers if they weren't meant to be seen as expendables?

There is an interesting point to note: Memory Water only works if one has a Nokker implanted in them. Remember how Abel can't drink it and instantly know the answers to their stupid-ass questions?

So do all clones have Nokkers implanted in them? They all own a tag chip, after all. But there is only one Left Hand Nokker, and that bitch seems deadset on possessing only Hayase's appointed heir (or in this case, Hayase herself).

Could this scene actually depict a failed experimental result, where #32/Doro was the subject? After all, she didn't look like she died in a massacre. She looked like she died alone, leaving her sisters behind..

Doro liaisoned with Fushi in secret. So secretly, Tonari didn't know it happened.

Why would she do that? Way back then, me and the Discord gang had speculated some sort of clash between Doro and the rest of Kaibara. At that time, I think our speculation was that it had to do with the Wish-granting Orb specifically.

But now, with this new information in mind...

Could it be that the liaison was part of the clones' planned rebellion? (6)

It could be that, in addition to passing vital information about Kaibara to Fushi (who is still not exactly forthcoming about what they know so far), Doro was also trying to ensure that the Wish-granting Orb will never fall into the Highest Echelon's hands.

Or was her reasoning more pragmatic—she didn't want Kaibara to have the power to crush her rebellion?

Back to the number-as-naming convention. What if these weren't names, but the assigned turn of each clone for the ultimate experiment (6)? If that's the case, then Doro is the 32nd experiment that failed.

That's a lot. And the fact that she failed would mean the experiment will keep going. The clones will keep being bred to be used for these experiments. It's a conflict ripe for seeds of rebellion, right?

Dolly's Purpose(s)

While Doll's original purpose might have been for amusement and fun—Doro rescued it from some trash heap and just engineered it to be a playmate—I had always found its ability to dish out powerful punches suspicious. Why would a playmate be good at granting people concussions in the first place?!

And it was good enough to take out mercenaries, right?

I'm quite confident that Doll's punch is a defensive ability to guard whatever's stored in its memory (9).

They could go after it for Doro's consciousness, sure, but the priority would drop a lot more, wouldn't it? ...Unless the third hypothesis is true!

The second hypothesis can be partially supplemented by Abel's dedication to possessing the Doll; he really cherished Doro, and to him, the Doll could lead him to her again. He also claimed that Doro "is still alive," though when pressed, he gave no evidence.

Was it wistful thinking, or could he have been privy to Doro's experiment to transfer her consciousness into Doll? Did he really know nothing about Doro's death?

There is also the "Now I am human" line Doro uttered while blindfolded. Given we now know what the clones are used for, Doro might see her existence to be inhuman/subhuman because of her real purpose. Maybe, to her, she could feel more human by being a doll than in her human body.

With vaccination rates among US kindergarteners steadily declining in recent years and Secretary of Health and Human Services Robert F. Kennedy Jr. vowing to reexamine the childhood vaccination schedule, measles and other previously eliminated infectious diseases could become more common. A new analysis published today by epidemiologists at Stanford University attempts to quantify those impacts.

Using a computer model, the authors found that with current state-level vaccination rates, measles could reestablish itself and become consistently present in the United States in the next two decades. Their model predicted this outcome in 83 percent of simulations. If current vaccination rates stay the same, the model estimated that the US could see more than 850,000 cases, 170,000 hospitalizations, and 2,500 deaths over the next 25 years. The results appear in the Journal of the American Medical Association.

“I don’t see this as speculative. It is a modeling exercise, but it’s based on good numbers,” says Jeffrey Griffiths, professor of public health and community medicine at Tufts University School of Medicine in Boston, who was not involved in the study. “The big point is that measles is very likely to become endemic quickly if we continue in this way.”

The United States declared measles eliminated in 2000 after decades of successful vaccination campaigns. Elimination means there has been no chain of disease transmission inside a country lasting longer than 12 months. The current measles outbreak in Texas, however, could put that status at risk. With more than 600 cases, 64 hospitalizations, and two deaths, it’s the largest outbreak the state has seen since 1992, when 990 cases were linked to a single outbreak. Nationally, the US has seen 800 cases of measles so far in 2025, the most since 2019. Last year, there were 285 cases.

“We’re really at a point where we should be trying to increase vaccination as much as possible,” says Mathew Kiang, assistant professor of epidemiology and population health at Stanford University and one of the authors of the paper.

Childhood vaccination in the US has been on a downward trend. Data collected by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention from state and local vaccination programs found that from the 2019–2020 school year to the 2022–2023 school year, coverage among kindergartners with state-required vaccinations declined from 95 percent to approximately 93 percent. Those vaccines included MMR (measles, mumps, and rubella), DTaP (diphtheria, tetanus, and acellular pertussis), polio, and chickenpox.

In the current study, Kiang and his colleagues modeled each state separately, taking into account their vaccination rates, which ranged from 88 percent to 96 percent for measles, 78 percent to 91 percent for diphtheria, and 90 percent to 97 percent for the polio vaccine. Other variables included demographics of the population, vaccine efficacy, risk of disease importation, typical duration of the infection, the time between exposure and being able to spread the disease, and the contagiousness of the disease, also known as the basic reproduction number. Measles is highly contagious, with one person on average being able to infect 12 to 18 people. The researchers used 12 as the basic reproduction number in their study.

Under a scenario with a 10 percent decline in measles vaccination, the model estimates 11.1 million cases of measles over the next 25 years, while a 5 percent increase in the vaccination rate would result in just 5,800 cases in that same time period.

In addition to measles, the authors used their model to assess the risk of rubella, polio, and diphtheria. The researchers chose these four diseases for their infectiousness and risk of severe complications. While sporadic cases of these diseases do occur and are usually related to international travel, they are no longer endemic in the US, meaning they no longer regularly occur.

The model predicted that rubella, polio, and diphtheria are unlikely to become endemic under current levels of vaccination. Rubella and polio have a basic reproduction number of four, while diphtheria’s is less than three. In 81 percent of simulations, vaccination rates would need to fall by around 35 percent for rubella to become endemic in the next 25 years. Polio, meanwhile, had a 50 percent chance of becoming endemic if vaccination rates dropped 40 percent. Diphtheria was the least likely disease to become reestablished.

“Any of these diseases, under the right conditions, could come back,” says coauthor Nathan Lo, a Stanford physician and assistant professor of infectious diseases.

To evaluate the validity of the model, the researchers ran a scenario with recent state-level vaccine coverage rates over a five-year period and found that the number of model-predicted cases broadly aligned with the number of observed cases in those years. The authors also found that Texas was at the highest risk for measles.

One limitation of the study was that the model assumed that vaccination rates were the same across all communities within a state. It didn’t take into account large variations in vaccination levels. Pockets of low vaccination rates, like in the Mennonite community at the center of the West Texas outbreak, would likely lead to local outbreaks that are larger than expected given the overall vaccination rate.

The study also didn’t take into account the possibility that vaccination rates could rebound in an area in response to an outbreak. “That’s the thing that we have control over. If you’re able to change that cycle, then that disease won’t spread anymore,” says Mujeeb Basit, associate chief of the Clinical Informatics Center at UT Southwestern Medical Center, who wasn’t involved in the study.

Kiang and Lo say the full impact of decreased vaccination will likely not be seen for decades. “It’s important to note that it’s totally feasible that vaccinations go down and nothing happens for a little while. That’s actually what the model says,” Kiang says. “But eventually, these things are going to catch up to us.”

Yaknow what would be funny? I bet the entire time otter!hybrid franco was talking to tiger!hybrid alex up until he was lead to reader and dog!hybrid logan he was flirting because its like his go to way of getting out of trouble and alex just thinks its really cute this little pup is trying to seduce him to get out of nonexistent trouble, he just has to show the pup to his boyfriends they'll love him, franco who has by now realized that he's not going to be let go but he also hasn't done anything wrong is now kinda worried he's going to be eaten by tiger!hybrid alex (which does not happen) until alex opens his drivers room to show dog!hybrid logan and what he can only assume to be a fennec fox!hybrid reader, and wow he thought that alex and logan were pleasing to the eye but wow reader is gorgeous then out of nowhere he gets dumped on reader and logan's laps with what he swears is alex telling you both that franco is your new kid, franco tries flirting with all of you after his little mental freak out and all any of you can think is 'aw our new pup is cute' like a parent would their child, later franco is talking to the media after a race and the reporter asks him somthing mean about logan and he frowns at them telling them that they can't talk about one of his new dads like that and to please refrain from doing so and the rest of the grid is side eyeing franco trying to see if they heard that right, alex ever the proud new papa he is comes up to franco hugs him and gives him a kiss on the forehead and tells him that he's proud of franco for dealing with the reporters questions so maturely, they are later seen with logan and reader in some ice cream shop or restaurant with fans taking picture and speculating wether or not franco has actually accepted being your child.

Don't knowif you actually likr this just thought that a different perspective would intrigue you.

i'm a sucker for hybrid!drivers and found family trope <3 i am definitely intrigued peaches!

otter!franco is utterly unprepared for when tiger!alex approaches him. he's dealt with bigger hybrids before, of course, but a tiger? never. so he tries his default setting that almost always gets him out of trouble. he flirts.

he's right in the middle of batting his eyelashes at alex with a cheeky grin when alex lets out some sort of rumbling chuckle and grabs franco by the scruff of his neck. in alex's mind, he's just found the perfect pup to complete your little pack. but, as always, he doesn't bother telling everyone involved. like franco. for example.

speaking of, poor franco is now silently panicking as he's dragged around by tiger!alex. he's both a prey and predator species, so half of him is screaming to fight and the other is telling him to run far far away. all that really manifests as is him squirming in alex's grip and letting out indignant squeaks. he's half-scared he's about to be eaten by alex. he knows it's irrational—predator hybrids almost never eat prey hybrids—but there are still a few creeps who do. every orchard has a bad apple or two.

but then ... then alex opens the door to his driver's room. and there on the little sofa is dog!logan, who franco already feels awkward about replacing mid-season, and you. your ears almost comically large. franco still thinks you make it work. momentarily, he's been distracted from tiger!alex basically kidnapping him. he barely even blinks when logan's tail starts smacking against the sofa.

alex deposits franco on your lap, right beside logan. it's eerily reminiscent of about a year and a half ago. by now, you've learned not to question it. you just sigh and allow otter!franco to sniff you before he curls up on your lap and starts fluffing his tail. he's not in the water, and it's not even forecast to rain, but he's very diligent about keeping his coat waterproof.

adding franco to your little pack was easier than you thought it would be.

nothing against him, of course, but alex had a habit of sniffing out hybrid!drivers who were just as chaotic as he was. like logan, or even his friendship with deer!george. you couldn't help but be a little skeptical of otter!franco.

he is just as chaotic. you're not surprised about that. what you are surprised about is that franco happens to be a perfect mix between mischievous overgrown tiger cub!alex and oblivious happy-go-lucky dog!logan. and, even better, franco loves to play hunting with the two of them. as long as he's not the one being hunted. you'd had franco for less than a day and you'd already had a crying otter pup on your lap because your boyfriends weren't quick learners about how rough was too rough to play.

after his first race, franco is in the media pen. he's no stranger to the media, of course, but he certainly underestimated how vicious they would get when he stepped up to f1. most of the questions are mundane or easy to ignore. but then comes the one he's dreading. a reporter asks him if he's glad to be replacing logan because now there's "an actually talented driver in the second williams". franco lets out a few angry squeaks before he speaks.

"you can't talk about one of my dads like that! he's more talented than you'll ever be, so please keep your ... opinions to yourself."

every other driver in the media pen pauses and looks at franco in disbelief. there are a few other hybrid!drivers. but even they had never joined or created a pack/herd/etc as quickly as franco seemed to have. then tiger!alex strolls over and he's ruffling otter!franco's fur around his ears and acting just like any good papa would. and then it makes sense. alex has a reputation—he spots someone he likes, and they'll have joined his pack by the end of the day.

you, alex, and logan take franco out for celebratory ice cream after the team debrief. they have special hybrid-safe ice cream because of course they do. none of you are really thinking about the media or the fans' reactions. you've all got your little pack, and that becomes all the more clear when photos of both dog!logan and otter!franco (somehow) curled up on your lap and fast asleep plaster the social media sites the next day.

Today the special government employee contract for Elon Musk has expired. Under the current federal law, special government employees are allowed to work a maximum of 130 days within a 365-day period.

Which means that theoretically there’s nothing precluding Elon Musk from resuming his position once the 365-day period expires.

The Trump admin states that while they’re sad to see Elon go, that he must return to Tesla and SpaceX, where he is “needed.” Undoubtedly in an effort to save face for publicity.

Also I haven’t found anything precluding the more informal role Elon plays as a private advisor to Trump, where he receives privileged access and can advise the President on numerous issues.

I would predict that while the status of Elon’s role in the Trump administration is shifting, the paradigm of his private relationship with Trump will likely remain similar.

As an unelected bureaucrat, Elon Musk helped oversee efforts to oversee and improve “government efficiency,” which meant slashing spending programs, as a precursor to Trump’s present-day efforts to slash funding for Medicaid with his “big, beautiful bill.”

The methods applied were widely seen as reckless, though the extent of their impact I feel like can’t be accurately forecasted.

While Elon Musk was publicly assisting Trump’s efforts, there was widespread speculation that Elon appeared to have rocky relationships with members of Trump’s cabinet, even as Trump tried to claim everyone was on amicable terms.

When Elon Musk was publicly endorsing candidates for races, most notably for the Wisconsin State Supreme Court election, his influence appeared to be harmful, dragging down his endorsee (Schimel) several points relative to other Republican candidates on the same ballot (IIRC Schimel underperformed other Republicans by as many as five points, though he lost in a relative landslide either way, since his loss was a 10.1 point deficit vs Crawford). His attempts to assist in taking back a conservative majority for the Wisconsin State Supreme Court (an election which Elon claimed was vital for human civilization) were unsuccessful.

Elon Musk appeared to attract a lot of the public backlash for the unpopularity of Trump’s executive actions, so his association with candidates who now have to seek to justify Trump’s unpopular proposals is likely seen as electorally unfavorable.

I've been asked to share my opinion on the recent Economist magazine cover that depicts a very interesting symbolic collage type of image. In no particular priority order, here are my impressions:

1. Saturn, which has profound occult meaning, sits atop the world order, above all world leaders and changing international dynamics. They are saying that regardless of changing conditions in the world ultimate authority will remain with Saturn and the cult of Saturn.

2. The image is dyed with black and red which is especially significant in 2025 because black is the traditional color of Saturn and red is the classical color of Aries where Saturn is heading in 2025. In other words, the dominant colors of the image reflect Saturn's astrological entry into Aries next year which the "elites" are aware of and planning with (Saturn centric strategy).

3. The value of the U.S. dollar will rise, perhaps as sharply as a rocket, through President Trump's leadership. Currency speculators should take this very seriously as I believe he's on a mission to save the USD through extraordinary means and measures like gold.

4. Zelensky holds the lowest hierarchical rank within the image which resonates with my recent prediction that 'Zelensky the Aquarius' will be falling after the next new moon in Aquarius which comes on January 29th, 2025.

5. Nuclear and radiological imagery conveys the message of crisis of this nature that dark forces intend to amplify and exploit to negatively change power dynamics within the world. The eye with the radiation symbol correlates with Pluto's entry into Aquarius.

6. The other eye to the right appears to be the same from the pyramid on the USD, an easy read here is "watch what we do with the USD" which has of course been used as an economic weapon for a long, long time. President Trump can 'game change' this with gold. The hour glass next to the 'dollar eye' says that the dollar will have more time or that the clock on it will be refreshed.

7. The Japanese Yen appears forecasted (or plotted) to decline along with the power and influence of Ursula Von Der Leyen who is likely to be axed by Saturn in '25.

8. There is a certain city beneath Saturn that seems unaffected in a negative way, a city above President Trump and perhaps the USA which he represents. The "City of Saturn" is a concept that should be kept in mind, especially a new "City of Saturn" as Saturn will be transitioning into Aries, the house of all things new.

9. President Putin, the great Christian hope and power of the East, is placed beneath a globe showing his region in emergency red beside a syringe which inclines me to think of a new biological threat in his area. I pray that his new cancer vaccine hasn't been tampered with.

10. EV battery supply issues also appear forecasted, with Saturn entering Aries battles for land, territory and raw materials will definitely be intensifying globally.

11. The white rocket next to President Trump seems to be an admission that 'Trump world' will be taking off. The rocket can also symbolize @elonmusk who has (thank God) propelled President Trump's ambitions.

12. The red communist fist at the bottom of the image implies a series weakening of communist social power.

13. I'm not quite sure who the woman is at the bottom but I feel inspired to think of Marine Le Pen as a new power player on the global chessboard. Watch her.

14. Xi and Putin are 'to the right' of Saturn (implying that they are philosophical good actors) while Ursula and Zelenksy are 'to the left' of Saturn (implying that they are bad actors). Trump is in the middle, between worlds, where he'll be tested in his 'bridge making' ability in '25.

15. The eyes to the left and right of Trump convey a message that he is being watched in an "all seeing" manner by shadow powers. Saturn above Trump, in a 'third eye' position, inspires me to think that he has a blind spot for Saturn, especially the astrological Saturn, which he should learn to see through his inner eye.

16. President Xi is depicted with a higher status than President Trump although the imagery near Trump implies a 'rise to the occasion' type of momentum and challenge that Trump will pose to Xi and China in economic terms. Between this and the Yen decline imagery I get chills for the Asian market in general.

17. Imagery for the secret AI arms race is suspiciously missing although the text reads, "crunch year for AI, will the $1T gamble pay off?" In other words, look at this and look at that but don't think of the secret AI arms race.

In closing I must state, as I have repeatedly through the years, that 'world elites' use astrology in secret and here they are putting Saturn at the top of their 2025 agenda.

Hello, Pile 02, and welcome to your reading. How has this year been treating you, and what are you looking forward to in 2024? In 2024, you will find out who your real friends are. There might be some conflict and some arguments that you will have to deal with; however, it will allow you to get rid of people who bully and intimidate you. This hostility is something you have carried over from this year. These people that we are talking about here are people who judge you for the things you love and for what you stand for. They are unhappy and are therefore projecting this energy onto you. With two major Arcana cards showing up, it feels like a significant year. One in which you will discover your values and your morals. You will reflect on traditions, weed out what doesn't align with you, and keep the things that bring you joy. It's a year of spiritual wisdom as well as learning and education. The moon card confirms that you will discover something—some sort of truth—that will disillusion you and that will help you face your fears and your anxiety. Funnily enough, in this deck, there is a dancing couple on the moon card, and again, the hierophant is represented by a host. I do think that you will be open to whatever lessons are coming toward you. Whatever the moon card will unveil, it will be a blessing for you and will lead to a lot of magical moments. Your bottom deck is the page of swords with the keyword gossip. There is someone in your life who has negatively influenced you—someone who loves to gossip about things but equally gossips about you to others. I feel like this is a person who is curious and prying, and this someone rarely has good intentions when sharing personal information or judging other people. This could be someone younger than you and who might be an air sign (Libra, Aquarius, and Gemini; Sagittarius also came to mind).

7 REASONS WHY MILVERTON CAN STILL BE ALIVE

Reading @diveintovortex 's recent post, I again, got inspired to make an analysis why Milverton can still be alive. I already did one like this before, related to the main antagonist of the James Bond universe, Ernst Stavro Blofeld, but today's post will rely heavily on the manga. Here, I will raise seven points why Milverton might not gone yet and we can suspect to see him again.

1, CHARACTER DESIGN

Milverton is one of the most detailed, most bothersome to draw characters of Yuumori (especially with that hair). If we look more deeply into the manga, we can see that the characters who only appeared for a few chapters - like Whiteley - are always designed in a more simple way. Milverton's character design has too much work in it, it wouldn't worth it if this was all the storytime he got. Milverton's distinct look suggests that he was meant to be much more than just a plot-device overall, he is a character on his own who still has hella lot of potential in him.

2, EYE COLOUR

Yes, I can list it under the point above as well - but I wanna focus on this a little more. Only three characters has unnatural, symbolic eye colours in the series: William, the main character, his brother, Louis - who gets important later on - and Milverton. Considering this tendency, his eye colour - beside it referencing snakes - also implies that Milverton is an important character - again: a character, not a plot-device - but Milverton was mostly just a plot-device yet, whose role was getting Sherlock and William face each other. Maybe, just like Louis, he gets important later on.

3, THE LITTLE TRIVIAS

Milverton has some, for the plot, seemingly irrelevant trivia the manga just casually drops at us - like his branch firm in New York. This New York connection gets interesting since Sherliam also ended up in New York. Was this just a coincidence? Or we will come back to this in Part 2?

4, THE RUSKIN SCENE

Ruskin, unlike Milverton was never meant to be an important character - his character design got re-used from The Adventure of One Student and we didn't even get to know his first name - but the manga still gave him a little focus at the end of Two Criminals, where we can see him searching for Milverton instead of saving himself from the burning house. He most likely survived and I'm sure there was a reason his love for Milverton got some attention in that chapter. I used to speculate that it was to forecast that he will get back to get revenge for his boss later - but again, his character design doesn't suggest he is an important character. On the other hand, that scene could be also to hint that Ruskin will save Milverton. Ruskin is not stupid - he could suspect what happened from the open door where Milverton jumped out - and that door could also provide the fastest way for Ruskin to leave the about-to-crash house. Not much time passed since Milverton got shot who could survive if Ruskin gets him out of the water in time. If he jumped into the water to escape, he might've found Milverton as well.

5, THE WATER PARALLEL

This point was suggested by @shreddedleopard during one of our talks whom I fully credit the idea to. Milverton keeps paralelling William in poses, methods - and even in "death": William "died" by falling into the water, too. If this was meant to be yet another parallel between the two, that also suggests that Milverton as well, might turn out to be alive.

6, SHERLOCK AND THE CONSEQUENCES OF HIS MURDER

Milverton's body was never found what let Sherlock escape from the consequences of the murder. However, this might not be the true reason why his body never got found - Milverton's death was actually too bothersome if it was meant to be only for this. It would've been simplier if he just got shot, dying inmediately and his body getting burned with the house and Sherlock could've get away with the murder in this case, too. Milverton also didn't got shot in the heart, but suffered injuries what he could survive if he gets treated in time. If the writer truly wanted us to fully believe that Milverton is dead, it could've been done easily with a heartshot.

7, YUUMORI IS A SHERLOCK HOLMES ADAPTATION

Despite that Moriarty the Patriot gets inspiration from other places than Sherlock Holmes stories - like the James Bond universe or The Dark Knight movie - it's still a story focusing on Sherlock Holmes characters - and the most iconic Sherlock villain beside Moriarty, Irene Adler or Moran is Charles Augustus Milverton... who still has lot of potential. And beside him, who could be the next antagonist in Part 2? The other Sherlock villains who didn't get used yet aren't as much of a big names. That's another point what can suggest that Milverton's arc is still unfinished.

Milverton not getting enough attention in Part 1 despite he clearly implied to be an important character was due to putting too much focus on him could complicate or even get the attention away from the Moriarty Plan what was the main theme of the series in Part 1. Maybe what we saw about Milverton yet was just an introduction and now, that we already know how dangerous and evil he can be, we can see more of his evil in Part 2. Because I'm sure if he is alive, he is ready to commit even bigger atrocities what we could imagine.

Question: How will the tour of Australia go for Queen Camilla?

Note: I'm using my new Rider-Waite deck for this reading, as part of the process of breaking the cards in, so the energies are not going to be as clear as they usually are.

Interpretation: She is very worried and stressed about the whole thing

Card One: Strength in reverse

Strength can mean physical strength or inner strength. In the reverse, it indicates a lack of strength, physical or internal.

The Strength card is the card of Leo, ruled by the Sun, so I was wondering if Queen Camilla would be affected by the weather in Australia, but I looked up the forecast and it is mild - the minimums and maximums for Sydney from the 18th to the 23rd are 17-25, 19-27, 16-23, 15-21, 15-23 and 14-26, and for Canberra they are 12-22, 11-23, 7-25, 7-24, 6-26 and 9-27, all in degrees Celsius, so even the warmer days won't be that warm because the nights are so cool. It might affect the Queen, she is old, so I'm putting that down as a maybe.

The other energy I get from this card, and this is the stronger energy of the two, is that of a lack of internal strength. So feeling not very confident, fearing that something will happen, doubting herself or feeling inadequate in some way. I think she is going to spend most of this visit worrying about The King, to be honest. She could also be comparing herself to Princess Diana, who drew huge crowds when she visited Australia, and I don't think the King and Queen will draw the same crowds as the interest is just not there as far as I can see - not as strong and not as promoted by the media. They will still draw crowds, but not the massive crowds that Princess Diana drew.

I drew a clarifier for this card and it was the Queen of Cups in reverse. Both Queen Camilla and Princess Diana are represented by the Queen of Cups card, which is my card for Cancer people, so there could be some sort of competition going on in the Queen's mind. If not, then the clarifier says that the Queen will not be at her best on this trip - she will be diminished or overshadowed in some way, or she will be acting out of the negative side of her inner nature.

Card Two: The Nine of Swords

This card is all about worrying about something - being physically comfortable but mentally in anguish. It indicates things such as fear, anxiety, negativity, and reaching your breaking point.

The energy of this card is of fear and worry. Somehow, the idea of doing this tour has the Queen in a state of extreme worry, and I'm picking up some fear also, mainly in the form of 'what if' thinking. I don't think the Queen wants to go on this tour and this card tells me that she is not mentally prepared for the tour at all. It could be that she is just worried about The King, but if so it is a very intense worry.

I drew a clarifier for this card and it was the Magician in the reverse. The Magician is the card of manifesting something, and in the reverse it is about not being able to manifest something, so the Queen may be worried that she can't make something happen that she wants to happen, which could be anything from good press to making sure her husband takes care of himself on this trip.

Card Three: Death

Death is the card of Scorpio, the sun sign of King Charles, so it looks like the Queen's worry is focused on her husband and trying to make sure he takes care of himself on this tour. I think that she also wants the tour to go the way The King wants it to go (which it may not) and she is worried about the effect on him if he is disappointed in the tour after putting in so much effort to make the trip.

The Death card is about endings, changes, letting go of things, and transformations. The energy of the card is that this is a farewell tour, a final goodbye, and the Queen wants it to go as well as possible because as far as she knows it is the last visit to Australia.

Underlying Energy: The Six of Swords

This is the card of travel overseas, so that is the going on tour itself that is underlying all of the above concerns. The Six of Swords can mean moving on, leaving things behind you, either leaving a problem behind or being forced to move on from a situation that you don't want to leave and you don't want to change.

The energy of this card is of regret and farewell. Like the Death card, an energy of 'this is the last time' lingers about it, of not wanting this to be the last visit but having to accept that the odds of returning are not in their favour. The woman in the card is huddled up in a cloak, as though she is in mourning for what she has left behind, and it is that sorrowful energy and regretful energy that is coming through this card.

Conclusion:

The Australian Tour is going to be hard on Queen Camilla. She may not show it externally, but inside, she is carrying a lot of worry and she may be having a crisis of confidence. She thinks that this tour will be the last time her husband travels to Australia and she wants the tour to go well for his sake - for him to get a triumphal farewell, if that makes sense. She is worried that this won't happen and that the King's last memories of Australia will be marred by any disappointment he feels from the tour. She may also be worried about her husband's health and how it will hold up to the tour.

There is a lot of worry and fear in this reading, coupled with a strong feeling of regret and a feeling that this is the last time so it has to be a good tour. There is self doubt as well, that the Queen can't make things happen they way she wants them to happen and also a self doubt in general - a sense of 'I'm not good enough', which may be from comparing herself to Princess Diana on tour (or maybe not, the Princess Diana is a faint energy and I'm only mentioning it because it is there as a small thread). She may also find the weather quite trying (again, she may not, this is a minor energy).

It's not going to be easy for her but most of that is coming from her own mind - she has bound herself up in her worries and her concern for her husband and she is most likely making things into a bigger deal than what they are - not mountains out of molehills, but exaggerating things a bit because she is worried and upset and she doesn't have the emotional resources to just take things as they come and adapt to any situations that occur.

Hayami is 5’10, and has a slim physique, looking quite feminine and androgynous due to his build.

His face is angular and sharp, their eyes are mustard yellow and always look bored or irritated, with some slight eye bags underneath.

Hayami has long dark green hair that reaches its back. He keeps the bangs swept to the side, and the sides of their head shaved.

It’s usual attire consists of a mixture of the PK academy uniform, a white shirt teal gakuran or cardigan(depending on the day), teal skirt with mismatched pattern socks and black loafers. He wears some silver hairclips in their hair, and some bead bracelets.

In the days before the Trump administration took office, we recognized, as did many others, the imminent threats of autocracy to the United States. That is why we published the 2025 edition of the Democracy Playbook. We outline seven pillars essential to defending democratic governance, freedoms, and the rights of every citizen in the U.S. and around the world. Our concerns about how some of the early actions of the new administration might impact U.S. democracy are not mere speculations now—they are happening.  

In this piece, we shed light on several pressing risks to three vital democracy pillars—protecting elections, defending rule of law, and fighting corruption. We will focus on the serious threats facing the other four pillars in future pieces. We also highlight recent and impactful actions from key democracy defenders on the frontlines, including ongoing litigation and peaceful protests, as well as opportunities to bolster the pillars of democracy. Understanding these risks, the actions being taken, and how pro-democracy actors respond is essential to preserving the short- and long-term health of American democracy, economy, and national security. We are prioritizing writing timely analysis and recommendations, including actionable strategies for protecting the pillars and building stronger democracy guardrails in the weeks and months to come.  

Over three weeks into the new administration, as forecasted, we have seen President Trump and his administration issue a blitz of executive actions, many of which overtly challenge the checks and balances and separation of powers that are fundamental to the U.S.’s constitutional governance. The pillars of protecting elections, defending rule of law, and fighting corruption—three of the most crucial ones highlighted in our Democracy Playbook 2025—have taken some of the worst blows. It is likely that these actions will continue over the next four years and that the deepening reality will require democracy actors to engage in a multi-year effort to prevent a historic slide—a worst-case scenario.  

With that said, there are rays of hope and visible responses from across the U.S. We have already seen examples of dedicated democracy actors showing they are fully awake. These actors—not cowed by an apparent shock-and-awe approach reminiscent of strategies from autocratic regimes like in Hungary or Russia—are taking important actions to defend U.S. democracy and the Constitution, fight for freedoms and transparent governance, and prevent critical systems of checks and balances from being trampled. While we will continue to assess developments over time, our review of recent events already points to the importance of widening the coalition of pro-democracy actors to effectively and sustainably address these threats to democracy.

We're not hearing much about the virus anymore, but it's the gift that keeps on giving — with long-term effects of notable concern.

The phrase “spirit of the holidays” tends to evoke feelings of benevolence, kindness and generosity. Christmas is the season of giving, after all. However, there’s an elephant in the room that no one seems to want to talk about: an unwanted — and sometimes deadly — gift that many are spreading without a second thought.

Bringing it up in family group chats is often met with awkward silence. In person, people shift nervously, mumble and change the subject. That dreaded thing-that-must-not-be-named: COVID.

Article content Many people seem to believe that the pandemic is over. Or, at least, they don’t hear about COVID-19 much anymore. Tests are difficult to find. Mask mandates are a thing of the past. “Surely if it was still a problem,” one might speculate, “then the government would say something, right?” And one might be forgiven for thinking so.

However, governments are political entities, and politicians seem to have learned that COVID-19 is not a popular subject. Yet, if one were to look at data from wastewater testing, hospitalization numbers, and test positivity rates, it would be obvious that COVID-19 is thriving in Quebec.

Because public health appears to have dropped the ball on public communication, volunteer organizations have had to fill that role. COVID-19 Resources Canada is one such entity, run by a team of volunteers with a broad range of skills and expertise, including researchers and health care professionals. They publish a weekly Canadian COVID Forecast in which they estimate the risk of COVID-19 in each province.

This week, the numbers for Quebec show that around one in 44 people are infected. This statistic is useful, as it allows us to estimate the risk of a COVID-19 exposure based on the number of people at a gathering. For example, the risk that someone is positive is 11 per cent for a gathering of five, 21 per cent for a gathering of 10, and 37 per cent for a gathering of 20.

Article content Anywhere you would share air with at least 130 people — such as for in-person Christmas shopping — the risk that you would encounter someone positive for COVID-19 is over 95 per cent. Clearly, COVID-19 has not gone anywhere.

“True,” one might say, “but COVID-19 is mild now, right?”

Again, one might be forgiven for thinking so, as we have indeed come a long way when it comes to treating the acute phase of COVID-19. However, COVID truly is the gift that keeps on giving, and research shows that “long COVID” is an ever-increasing and serious problem. It is neither rare nor mild.

A Statistics Canada study published last December shows that one in nine Canadian adults “have experienced long-term COVID-19 symptoms; most continue to experience symptoms.”

The study also shows that the risk of long-term symptoms increased with the number of infections. After one infection, the risk of long COVID was 14.6 per cent. This rose to 37.9 per cent by the third infection.

In October, the Institut national de santé publique du Québec (INSPQ) published a report showing that six per cent of the province’s health care workers are suffering from long COVID. When did we stop caring about our “guardian angels,” whom we worked so hard to protect in 2020?

This holiday season, let’s embody the values of benevolence, kindness and generosity and do our best to avoid spreading a disabling virus to strangers and loved ones alike.

It can be surprisingly simple to protect our health and the health of others — by masking in public with high-quality masks (such as KN95 or N95), testing before gatherings, increasing ventilation, and staying home if sick. Not only will this help mitigate the spread of COVID-19, but also all other respiratory illnesses of the season, like the flu and RSV.

This year, let’s become better versions of ourselves and spread kindness, not viruses.
