Re: many of the various about the Gorn or listing SNW's handling of the Gorn as one of its major problems.
Perception not matching reality, what is/is not a monster is a huge theme throughout SNW.
Ghost of Illyria – Those light monsters didn’t murder the Illyrians, they are the Illyrians and were trying to save Pike and Spock all along. Everyone (except Una ofc) learns a lesson that Illyrians can’t be lumped in with the Augments and need greater understanding
Lift Us Where Suffering Cannot Reach – Turns out that nice lovely civilization is literally torturing children. The terrorists are actually trying to save those children.
The Serene Squall – Surprise the counselor is a pirate
Ad Astra Per Aspera – Continues with the Illyrians deserve understanding theme.
Tomorrow and Tomorrow and Tomorrow – That helpful reporter is actually a Romulan. Even notorious tyrant and mass murderer Khan Noonien Singh was once a scared child.
Lost in Translation – Starfleet is the monster, accidentally torturing and killing a life form they didn't know existed.
Under the Clock of War – Turns out the lovely ship’s doctor is actually the Butcher of J’Gal and capable of murdering someone in cold blood. War can make a monster of anyone.
Yet so many people seem to think they’re not going to pull something similar with the Gorn? Even though the show has taken time to establish that the Gorn are intelligent and have a religion?
The thing about the Gorn is that people have died - La’an’s family, Hemmer, some other members of the Enterprise crew, nearly the entire crew of the Cayuga, multiple colonies - and possibly Marie will be added to that list before the two-parter is done. That creates an environment where it’s understandable that the SNW characters would not want to have their perception that the Gorn are monsters challenged, because the harm they have caused is so personal.
It creates a really interesting conflict for the crew, because how do you find understanding, how to you fight the will for revenge, when there’s been so much pain?
I could be wrong about this being the route the SNW writers are going down, but I’m really excited to see if they do.
Posting this as a response to several earlier confessions.
I’m getting pretty annoyed with The Acolyte constantly, pointlessly drawing out the Brendok mystery
It would’ve made sense for us to have gotten at least some of Mae’s perspective when she and Osha were talking at the end of episode 5, but instead she just repeated already-refuted talking points about how Mae didn’t have love/family/purpose.
It would’ve especially made sense for Qimir to give some of his view of what happened during his whole Dark Side Seduction Retreat. Osha knows that he has some information on that, and she wanted to know last episode, so why wouldn’t she ask?
And then there’s the fact that Sol’s account was also pushed back needlessly all episode, to the detriment of that storyline (seriously, did we need a bunch of scenes of Bazel sniffling over some kind of explanation?), all so the writers could dangle the idea of actually getting some answers for a cliffhanger.
It’s kind of annoying, especially because the mystery is one of the only legitimately engaging parts of the show left after they killed off half the cast and separated the only characters left who have a relationship we’re invested in.
I am… very confused as to why vernestra framed sol instead of qimir
she clearly knows her old padawan is alive, he’s evil, and is also directly responsible for mae (and osha’s) actions. why frame a jedi and bring more scrutiny upon the order when you could frame the Clearly Evil Guy and sic every jedi in the galaxy on his ass?
I assume it’s because if he unmasks they’ll know who he is and find out what actually happened to him but the sol accusation doesn’t really hold water. several jedi and civilians know mae killed indara and (in this case could arguably be convinced against it, but) torbin. indara’s murder is most damning. everyone knows sol isn’t responsible
⭐️ THE LOST EPISODE (« FORCE FOG ») : A STAR WARS FAN COMIC ⭐️
.
Chapter 2 : « Healing » - Part 2 / ?
.
Tala and Ned-B brought Obi Wan to safety on Jabiim, and as planned, a bacta tank was waiting for him. But what is Obi Wan going to see as he’s unconscious … ? Are those nightmares ? Visions in the Force ? Or what his own mind wants him to see … ? Anyway, a new player joins this game ... Also, watch out, because the next two pages are coming very soon to make up for this shorter update !
.
Here is the pitch for the overall comic series : I wanted to focus more on Obi Wan’s journey, from the man we saw in episode 3 to the Jedi from episode 4. This is a fan comic so of course, adjustments were made and I’ll be tweaking another thing or two. Those are just my ideas haha, consider this a brain rot - but I hope you guys will enjoy it ! 🥰♥️ . I’ll be releasing a few pages every week. There will be three chapters to this : Fleeing, Healing, Training. Full version is up on :

As always, guys, thank you for your kind words (and tags !!!! i live for them !!!) ♥️
I was wondering what would happen if star wars (particularly tbb bc that's the currently-releasing bit of star wars) adhered to silm logic:
Hunter is the local leader of a hidden city (Pabu)
Omega is the heir
Rex is the overall leader of a warring people (clone rebellion)
Hemlock is the local leader of a branch of the Forces of Evil
Palpatine is the overall Enemy
so therefore
Rex and Echo gather an army of escaped clones. They rescue Cody or Wolffe from the Empire. Song and fire are greatly involved.
Themes of rising hope are invoked as they make a stand against the Empire. The clone rebellion grows further.
They are initially victorious and manage to rescue the clone prisoners from Tantiss with few casualties. Hemlock is ousted and flees to the heart of the Empire (but his operation will return in time)
Echo goes to check on the Batch on Pabu and ask them to ally with him and Rex in the upcoming battle.
They march on Coruscant. Things suddenly go disastrously wrong. Cody is killed in battle. Rex faces Palpatine in single combat.
Rex dies tragically.
Eagles.
Echo tells Hunter about the battle. They are delayed on their way and attempt to ride to the rescue. The Batch arrives just after the deaths. Echo is sad.
Pabu is betrayed while the Batch is on Coruscant.
Pabu is invaded by the Empire. Hemlock subjugates the people into his weird clone experimentation program.
Dragons.
The Batch returns to destroyed/invaded Pabu and is unable to intervene.
While attempting to protect their city most of the Batch dies.
Echo is very sad.
Hunter is captured and killed in front of Omega.
Omega escapes and swears an Oath mourns the Batch.
Echo is broken by grief for the ghosts of his past and vanishes.
Omega later becomes a Rebellion leader, carrying the memories of the failed clone rebellion and the haven of Pabu with her.
Echo fades/dies on some random planet as the forgotten remnant of the GAR/Clone rebellion.
oh my fuck the gasp I made when Cad Bane came in Identity Crisis.
also I’m literally crying in the beginning of the episode I just knew that little thing was force sensitive and I knew what was going to happen and know I’m sad bc I’ve grown emotionally attached to a baby owl. 😢😭
pls don’t kill baby owl
on a happier note at least Todo is as sassy as he used to be like ‘I’m NoT a NaNnY dRoId’ bane was like stfu Tobo u bitch.
So my family's got this tradition where every Friday we eat pizza because my mom is an absolute pizza addict and needs it every week.
It's been like,, idk, eleven years of us doing this?? And I think once the Mandalorian started streaming we would have Pizza Fridays and also watch whatever show was streaming at the time; Star Wars, Marvel, Cobra Kai, etc...
ANYWAYS!
Recently we haven't watched anything because I watch Bad Batch on my own but when I was talking to her about it she brought up wanting to watch it too. At first, I was like,, "Seriously??" because I didn't think she cared all that much about my silly animation shows, but she was serious. However, she wanted to start at Season 3. I was like, "Weird choice, but alright. We can work with that."
My younger brother who also enjoys the show hadn't been able to watch the new season either so I was like,, "okay why not?" I need him to see it so I can scream about it to someone physically, y'know?
We watched the first four episodes last night and I kid you not,, fucking five minutes into it my mom was like,, "They LOST their kid?? What a bunch of losers."
It was so uncalled for and I cannot wait for her to find out they lost her for a SECOND time :')
She was like, "No wonder they're called the Bad Batch, they're bad at their job."
Tried to defend them by saying, "Hey, cut them some slack they lost their mom of the group and the smart one," but she just went, "Erm, actually-"
She enjoyed it though and said it was fun. And my brother was so distressed over the time skip I thought he was going to cry.
