Things Fall Apart will continue.

Dearest Readers,

It is with a heavy heart that I ask you to join me under the cut...

It would appear that our dear OG, Darren Drake Sr., has suffered a medical emergency in his home, on the way to meet his grandchild via ultrasound.

We are still unsure of what this emergency is, however, we do know that Darren has dealt with stress for most of his life. Additionally, while he keeps in great shape, he has struggled to quit smoking (his stress relief along with cognac of course) for years. Darren began smoking as a teenager and, now as he approaches the other side of middle-age, this long habit may have caught up with him.

As for now, we don't know why he collapsed in his garage. Let us try not to fear the worst.

We will return and find out more early next week.

thinking about steve dressing up as a cowboy for halloween. thinking about his ass in tight as sin levis with an open leather vest and dark brown leather chaps with a fake gun strapped around his thigh. thinking about his hair floofing out at the bottom of his cowboy hat, curls wrapping around his ears. thinking about a loose button up shirt with a bolo tie haphazardly done up around the unbuttoned collar. thinking about the extra height his cowboy boots give him and the way he struts around so he can hear them clicking on the hardwood floor of whoever's house they're in.

thinking about eddie dressed as a vampire, black jeans and black boots and black button up, hair slicked back with fake blood dripping off his lips. thinking about his fake vampire fangs damn near falling out of his mouth when steve walks in the door and eddie's jaw drops of its own accord. thinking about eddie bringing steve a beer and watching with wide eyes and beating heart as he pops the bottle cap off with the buckle of his thigh holster before taking a long sip. thinking about steve tipping the brim of his hat to eddie before sauntering off with a hope that a certain pair of brown eyes are following him.

thinking about steve using the extra inch of height from his boots to press eddie into the bathroom counter and tilt his head down when he kisses him. thinking about steve pulling back with a smear of red across his own mouth. thinking about eddie taking his role too seriously and biting at steve's neck, his jaw, his exposed chest until it's blooming with bruises. thinking about steve wrapping his hands in the blood red velvet cape around eddie's shoulders to drag him into an open room and maneuvering him where he wants him.

thinking about robin dressed as a sheriff, frustrated and wondering where the fuck her costume partner has been the whole night before seeing them leave a room with matching red grins and a cowboy hat perched on a vampire's head.

thinking about arguing with mark over text and him just showing up outside your house with a text saying “ok come let me in then” and you would run to the door half panicking bc it’s the middle of the night and you didn’t expect things to get this heated?

he would fully not even have one foot in the house before he’s trying to kiss you and you’d push him away. “I’m still mad at you” you’d say holding back a smile at his sweet gesture.

“clearly not mad enough to not let me in, gimme a kiss babe” he would try to lighten the mood.

“ok I’m sorry, I know I should’ve planned my time better and not double booked myself but I’m here… baby.. I’m sorry” he’d look at you with his big doe eyes, trying to grab your waist so he can hold you in an embrace. he’d cling to your body and follow you around the house and up the stairs, into your room.

“mark, look.. I understand we get busy but you have got to let me know your schedule on the days we agree to see each other. a commitment is a commitment and you ca-“

he wouldn’t even let you finish your sentence before his lips would come crashing down on yours, knocking the wind out of your lungs. you’d try your best to keep a stern tone but his grip on you would tighten, kisses would travel down from your lips to your jaw, to your neck..

“Yo! Fuck you for thinking I’m just gonna stop being mad if you come over tryna act all cute. You piss me off!” you’d push him back lightly, trying your best not to melt to his touch. and it would work too until your eyes would meet his. all you would see is his lips slowly curl into a smile, before he takes his bottom lip into his mouth.

walking towards you slowly, he’d stand behind you and move your hair to one side. leaving kisses down the back of your neck, he’d whisper in your ear, “you’re kinda sexy when you’re mad” he’d snake his arm from your shoulder to your neck and give it a light, gentle squeeze and you’d feel your underwear slowly dampen as you try to hold it together. he’d chuckle, noticing the goosebumps on your skin. he’d let his other hand travel from your nipples to slip into your shorts.

his long fingers, with rings still on from his schedule earlier, would find their way in between your folds to gather up all the slick just to bring it up to your clit. “Mar..k” you’d whimper his name, falling weak to his touch.

running slow circles, he’d ask “nah.. please continue all the shit you were talking earlier”

OKAY, OKAY BUN THOUGHTS🐇

1.) I'm am so happy they didn't jack up his face. (Sorry not sorry.) They go so off-model with his face in cards sometimes and I just don't get it. Or make his mouth look weird and thank god!!! (Let's pray the groovy doesn't wash him out!)

2.) AND THE HIGH PONY PREDICTION CAME TRU. I had a feeling he was gonna get the pony but what's more-

3.) THE RETURN OF THE FOREHEAD. I personally think he looks better when his bangs are back, and we haven't got good forehead since his pre-groovy robe card. (Ironically that's my favorite way they have drawn his face/skin.) 4.) HE HAS SUNGLASSES INSTEAD OF GOGGLES????? THAT'S JUST SO ON POINT WITH HOW I HC HIS STYLE VIBES. UNLESS THEY ARE JUST SLIM GOGGLES. VERY GOOD SIR. I'll give you that one.

The shoes are wild, but they fit his personality so I'll let him live for now. They remind me of a cheetah. Gotta go fast!! As for lil old me, I am tempted to redo my Spelldrive art from my old account bc I was going through some funk art-style growing pains. I can do it even more justice now I think. >:3c

you know I've always believed sukuna and yuuji have something the other one needs. 

yuuji and sukuna not only hurt one another and make each other miserable but they also need one another (in a sense) because one have something the other one needs. they're both unbalanced individuals and jjk is a story about finding that balance

yuuj's kindness and humanity reflects sukuna's hollowness

on the other hand sukuna's overwhelming sense of self reflects yuuji's lack of any

and this all seems to stem from their loneliness. they're both incredibly lonely individuals who just needed a way to cope. sukuna by embracing his loneliness and yuuji by rejecting it. 

but the funny thing is that.. in yuuji's case no matter how many times he surrounds himself with people he still feels lonely... and the reason for that is because yuuji doesn't have a sense of self. he doesn't have an identity and without having an identity there's no sense of belonging. we need a sense of self to understand ourselves our values, the way we think and feel, cause when we do it’s easier for us to connect to others and create a sense of belonging. yuuji never feels like he belongs, that's why he's entire self worth is centred around having a role. he wants to feel connected to others like he's a part of something bigger and has a right to exist in this world. yuuji just wants to feel like he belongs.

but he can't and how can he when doesn't even know something as important as his origins?

"I don't care" lol , Both Wasuke and Gojo tried to tell Yuji and Megumi about their parents / parent respectively and both Yuji and Megumi stopped them from doing so which i think is just a coping mechanism. They do care but they don't want to know the truth Their entire life has been impacted by the actions of their parent , only they think they can run from it but they can't

and now sukuna is now the only person who has the answers to the questions yuuji doesn't want to ask

and this chapter confirmed that for me in a way.

you know yuuji is a really smart kid he KNOWS that there must be a reason why his and sukuna’s souls were able to coexist (or become one?? pls correct if I’m wrong) he just never voices it or raises any questions cause he doesn’t want to know. he’s been running away from the truth his entire life and the only person that can make him face that truth is the guy he despises the most, sukuna. 

sukuna has something yuuji needs and that might the answer to the question yuuji has always been running away from. the answer to the jjks biggest mystery “what are you yuuji itadori?”

i was not a langston fan at first but he's become one of my favourite characters haha! the way he cares for his altered items is so cute...keeping his lil ducklings in a row....

here's a little wip share!

Since I've been out of art school for a while now I've been craving a good long term project, and what better subject than my favorite show? :) I'm pretending like Anastasia is an animated production/video game/whatever and I'm in charge of putting together a 'concept art book'/illustrated guide (for lack of a better term). Which means there would be extensive artwork of each costume, character lineups, background/set paintings, and prop studies. I'm currently still working on drawing and rendering all the assets and once they're all drawn I'll arrange them in a page layout as if they'll be printed in a big book!

But since it will be several months/year+ before it's finished I thought i could share some of my progress so far and possibly document the process as we go along. Here is an act i lineup of the principal characters, some examples of character costume sheets, and a couple screenshots of some ensemble costumes in various stages of completion. I've also rendered several props and I've started a couple background paintings, but I'll share those later.

Why embark such a tedious project, you ask? Well! because. i want to. So far it's been pretty fun. my obsessive collection/scholarly archive of reference photos of this show are finally being put to good use 🙈
