I must admit this is my own fic. My first ever fic.

Stiles and Derek slow burn with a fix-it feel. Not an ambiguous ending, but open. Multi-chapter, with a Playlist and bonus chapter.

I am continuing to re-edit and improve it whenever I can, especially because I didn't have a beta reader.

I like that how Sterek shippers and writers somehow

1) unanimously adopted the term “Sourwolf” as a permanent nickname Stiles has for Derek

2) decided that “dude!” “don’t call me dude.” in some variation is utterly inevitable

3) agreed that Derek’s eyebrows talk on their own and that Stiles is usually the only one who speaks eyebrow

Since I'm back in my teen wolf obsession after the movie I'm just gonna say it. The vitriolic hatred for both Scott McCall and Tyler Posey was just fucking racism. There was literally no reason to hate them so much and every excuse I've seen people have for hating Scott is that he didn't center himself around Stiles (his white friend) more.

Scott McCall's only flaw was that he loved his friends too much and he was too trusting and forgiving of people.

I'm all for ship and let ship but Tyler is right about Sterek being weird. Stiles was a minor and Derek was at least 20-23 and as a former Sterek shipper who has seen the light. I don't blame Tyler. Y'all got hella annoying with that ship.

Sterek was never queerbait

Stiles and Derek did not like each other. They only tolerated each other because of Scott. Derek literally says he only came back to beacon hills for Scott. Y'all let Dylan and Tyler Hoechiln convince you otherwise.

Also people hating Scott is another case of white people having this weird issue with not being able to relate to a poc character because y'all literally take all of Scott's traits and give them to Stiles (because mostly I only see white people hating him and a few people of color)

The "iconic" baseball batt and red hoodie y'all love to give Stiles is literally what Scott was wearing in episode 1 of Season 1

EDIT: I'll also never forgive you FREAKS for bullying Tyler Posey after his mom died and said it was karma for saying sterek is weird. You people are fucking sick, disgusting pathetic excuses of a human being--no you're not human. You're literal scum for doing that.

Stiles and Dylan O'Brien were not the face of Teen Wolf. It is Tyler and Scott. Hell for example the sims 3 Supernatural. The werewolf on the cover looks like season 1 Scott.

I LOVE Stiles but those certain Stiles fans have put a sour taste in my mouth for the character.

Also the "Scott McCall is a bad friend" tag is so dumb cause Stiles and every other character on that show would laugh in your face if you tried to tell them that

My theater kid bullshit has collided with my Teen Wolf obsession and provided me with this scenario, please enjoy:

Stiles is falling behind in one of his English classes. Not because he doesn't understand the material or anything. He understands just fine. But unfortunately, his last two big papers were less than his best and turned in late. Thank you, vengeful witches, for ruining his academic standing. At first, the teacher seems very hesitant to give him any sort of extra credit. That is, until they start working on a Shakespeare unit and Stiles turns out to be kind of a Shakespeare genius. The language just kind of clicks for him. He's always been a talker, and he enjoys the way the rhythm of iambic pentameter flows off the tongue. Plus, he's able to spot all the countless dick jokes and innuendos that seem to fly over everyone else's head.

Knowing that Stiles can read Shakespeare with so much ease, the teacher makes him a deal. He'll grant the extra credit Stiles wants to get him back up to his desired GPA...If Stiles auditions for the production of Hamlet the school is putting on.

He wants to say no, he really doesn't want to add "rehersing for a play" to his list of things to worry about. Lacrosse season ending had him actually looking forward to a bit of extra free time, being part of Hamlet would really dig into that. But he wants the fucking extra credit, so he decides he's going to audition, and tank it. It'll get him at least some of the points he needs, and he won't have to actually be part of the show.

But then auditions come around, and Stiles finds himself shocked by just how BAD half of the students are. The lines aren't that difficult to read, and he knows at least 90% of the students reading them aren't intentionally doing badly. After hearing the monolugue assigned to them be butchered so badly for the 20th time, Stiles ends up forgetting his whole plan to tank his audition. He reads the scene perfectly out of pure spite and respect for the text because it's actually a pretty good monologue when it's done correctly!!

He gets cast as Hamlet. The lead part. So much for having free time.

Cue Stiles working on the play while also dealing with the usual pack business. The shenanigans, the teasing, the potential for ship content. There's so many possibilities with Stiles unintentionally becoming the lead in a Shakespeare play.

One thing I’ve noticed about a lot of OTPers is that they will usually have exceptions to their stance for one of the characters but not the other.

Character A can be multishipped but “I just can’t see Character B with anyone else and it upsets me to try.”

It’s like they have one character who they see as a person, and one character who they see as an accessory to that person.

You can’t imagine character B with anyone else because you don’t see character B as anything other than what they mean to Character A.

If you see them both as whole people, if they both contain multitudes, than they both have the potential for many possible good matches.

question do u also find the dominance of sterek baffling as i do bc i watched the show w/ no background and immediately went to ao3 after i finished it to see what fanfics were available and was PERPLEXED bc i was so sure the top ship would be stiles/scott. it's so obvious and fanfic wise is like the path of least resistance. why is it sterek instead

i was a klance enjoyer so i can understand the rabid insanity with which a closeted queer teenager will latch onto any men who so much as look at each other but like. honestly objectively speaking im 2.5 seasons in and these guys have had a genuine conversation with each other maybe once in their lives and it was because they were both paralyzed and dying on the floor next to each other. like at least keith cradled him in his arms yknow. happy for the sterek girlies tho ig they seemed to be having a GREAT time back in like 2014

I waste so much of my time liking things. Not in a bad way, I just mean I know that I commit hours of my life to fandom and tumblr and shipping. And I’m happy about it, truly, but obviously there is a level of guilt where I’m like - oh man, what am I gaining? Is this worth the time? Should I be spending it on something worthwhile. And I’m sure we all do that sometimes… but what is absolutely unfathomable to me is that there are “anti-fans” and those that spend an equal amount of time hating things.

The time I waste liking things, at the very least, brings me happiness. What in the hell are you getting out of disliking things?

I can always tell when someone watched teen wolf bc people who were there on the front lines will literally ignore anything past s2 like allison, boyd and erica will still be alive, isaac is still in beacon hills, characters like malia, kira, liam, and every other character in s3 and beyond are non existent. And tbh i strive to have that kind of delusion but honestly i like s6 too much 🤷

I would like to do a little research of "How do you deal with toxic shippers?", may you help me a bit?

Doesn't matter if you are stelena or delena, klamille or klaroline, stydia or stalia ect. everyone has toxic fans, yeah some fandoms have more than the other, but they are still everywhere.

I used to jump into discusion and I kept arguing, but after some time I got tired really fast since I'm not a teenager anymore and I usually block them after. I'm not just tired but totally unimpressed by arguments, also by a fact the result will be still the same, we won't agree with each other.

How do you deal with it? Do you argue till the last breath or do you block them after some time or even immediately? Or you just ignore it?

I will be grateful if you reblog, so I can get as more answers. Thank you.
