My notes: oh my. This was absolutely amazing. I adored how good of a friend Chim was and I loved reading more about Chimney and Eddie’s friendship. This fic made me laugh, cry, and cry while laughing. Some moments are absolutely hilarious and got me kicking my feet and giggling on the couch. 10000000% recommend this one. Adorable!

Buck stops for a second, looking for the best words, but Eddie starts speaking, not looking at him and speaking barely above a whisper even if he tries to sound happy, but it’s more like a heart break. 

“I understand. You want to stay with Jake and finally have your “happy ever after” with him,” it breaks Eddie’s heart to say those words, but he should say them to let Buck know it is ok for him to want to have this new chance with Jake. It is ok that Buck wants to move on from all his life he had built over the years to have a new life here. It is ok what he wants more, that he finally wants his own family and partner he sees as perfect. And Jake seems to give Buck this feeling, even if Eddie thought he gave Buck enough of it before. 

Buck wants more and it is ok, he deserves more and he should have it. And Eddie is going to make sure he is a supportive best friend.  

“I understand, just… Please, tell Chris you move to San-Diego yourself. I … don't think I can tell him you’re leaving,” Eddie can be so supportive of Buck finally having what he wants for happiness, for feeling at ease, but he can’t again sit his son in front of him and tell him his another parent left them. He just can’t.

Eddie closes his eyes not wanting to look at the ocean when Buck will break his heart for good, saying that Eddie understood him right and he of course will talk to Chris. But after some seconds of silence he hears only a loud laugh.

He turns to see Buck who is laying down on the sand and laughing like Eddie just told him the best joke in his entire life.
