So he went to the colourful people that Danny kept talking about. Sadly, they started trying to capture him when he went into their floating home.

He got away but sadly he had no one to help him. Thankfully he ran into Krypto and the superpets.

Does y'all's DC Alien Stuff happen in modern times or sometime vintage? Just curious because GLY's Superman Smashes the Klan is the GOAT.

Do the early 2000s count as vintage now? asdfaf because that's around the time JL remix takes place! Lois' backstory in Private Interview is a fictionalized take on the May 1998 riots in Indonesia, which causes her family to move to the US. So everything in this AU kind of hinges on that time period (which is more or less our modern time period by the time Lois comes of age as an adult). Much like BTAS I like to be stylistically anachronistic for fun though.

I'm a huge believer in Metropolis looking like an art deco-hopeful/optimism-classic americana world's fair energy to her. Adaptations that just turn her into a modern or futuristic city are deeply boring to me. What I would give for a standalone Superman period piece movie though!!

More Lena and the League of Super-Pets Ideas

- Lena is walking home from the office when she stumbles across a gang of newly powered pets in the park. After a momentary freak out she calms and takes them all home, makes sure they're fed and watered and comfortable, and then goes about trying to save the Justice League. By herself. Until she too is captured and imprisoned. At which point the animals she rescued from the park all come charging in to save the woman who saved them

- Lena does not want a pet. Under any circumstances. She refuses. They're just another way someone can target her, hurt her. She won't let anyone else get hurt for her sake. Until maybe she stumbles across an animal in the park. An animal who may just be a little more special than she believes, when she inevitably takes the shaken and traumatized thing home. Some might even say, super special.

- Krypto arrives on Earth later than Kara and ends up in a series of different, increasingly more heartbreaking homes before ending up on the side of the road. Where he is found by Lena and taken home and given shelter and love. At first he's reluctant to bond, but Lena is patient and consistent, and before long they're both smitten with each other. He makes zero attempt to show Kara what/who he truly is even after he realizes who she is. It's not until Lena goes missing and Kara comes over in tears to tell him what happened, even though he's a dog and shouldn't understand her. But he does. And immediately proceeds to burst out through the windows and zoom away out of sight. Before coming back and barking at Kara like 'well? what are you waiting for?'
