Today an annular solar eclipse, wherein the Sun appears like a ring of fire, will be visible in parts of the country. The phase of the eclipse will begin at 2.30 pm and will end at 6.04 pm.

Here are some of the important guidelines that you should follow before, during and after the Solar Eclipse 2022:

¶ What to do before Surya Grahan

One should feed food and water to birds before and after Surya Grahan.

You should also feed green grass to cows.

It's said that feeding water and food to animals increases one's prosperity, eliminates conflicts, cleanses past life sins and brings victory.

¶ What to do during Surya Grahan

- Kids, pregnant women, and elderly people should avoid exposure to the sun today

- Try to avoid wearing black and blue clothes

- Do not consume water, grain, alcohol or any type of eatables during grahan period

- However, those who are unwell can take medicine

- Keep silence during grahan period, speak as less as possible

- Do meditation and mantra chanting

Mantras to recite during Surya Grahan

You should recite given below mantras during Surya Grahan.

Remember, you should recite these mantras facing towards east for maximum benefit:

¶ What to do after Surya Grahan

Once the Surya Grahan ends at 6.04 pm today, you should take bath and pray to god. Cook your food fresh after taking bath and then only consume it. Make sure, you cook your food after taking bath once the solar eclipse ends.

¶ சூர்ய கிரஹனுக்கு முன் என்ன செய்ய வேண்டும்

சூரிய கிரகணத்திற்கு முன்னும் பின்னும் பறவைகளுக்கு உணவு மற்றும் தண்ணீர் கொடுக்க வேண்டும்.

¶ சூரிய கிரகணத்தின் போது என்ன செய்ய வேண்டும்

- குழந்தைகள், கர்ப்பிணிப் பெண்கள் மற்றும் முதியவர்கள் இன்று சூரிய ஒளியில் இருப்பதைத் தவிர்க்க வேண்டும்

- கருப்பு மற்றும் நீல நிற ஆடைகளை அணிவதைத் தவிர்க்க முயற்சி செய்யுங்கள்

- கிரஹன் காலத்தில் தண்ணீர், தானியம், மது அல்லது எந்த வகையான உணவு வகைகளையும் உட்கொள்ள வேண்டாம்

- இருப்பினும், உடல்நிலை சரியில்லாதவர்கள் மருந்து எடுத்துக் கொள்ளலாம்

- கிரஹன் காலத்தில் அமைதியாக இருங்கள், முடிந்தவரை குறைவாக பேசுங்கள்

இன்று மாலை 6.04 மணிக்கு சூரிய கிரகணம் முடிந்ததும், குளித்துவிட்டு கடவுளை வணங்க வேண்டும். குளித்த பிறகு உங்கள் உணவை புதிதாக சமைத்து, பிறகு மட்டுமே சாப்பிடுங்கள். சூரிய கிரகணம் முடிந்ததும், குளித்த பிறகு உங்கள் உணவை சமைப்பதை உறுதிப்படுத்திக் கொள்ளுங்கள்.
