So something very cute about lexical-gustatory synesthesia is that when a word escapes you or a concept is tricky to explain, you can just bake someone a little treat or blend up a special tea microbatch and then be like "here, taste this, it will explain everything."

hellois this mcdonalds can i get a uhhhhh. team canada? yeag thanks
gonna be real with u anon i was gonna do a draw the squad meme with this prompt and then realised i've never actually drawn pause or beef before?? so i did some headshots instead. hopefully this satisfies ur cravings anyway
Tumblr media
ahdkdndnd i did absolutely no referencing here outside of their Minecraft skins (and what my brain remembered Beef and Pause's hair looking like) bc i got flustered trying to design so many (two, synnie. it was two) men in a row 😭 all colours (outside of Etho's, since i have a design for him) were colour picked directly from their skins. i hope it's okay that i chose not to incorporate Pause's headdress - i didn't want to accidentally fuck something up :<
side note: i'm so out of practice drawing men, y'all. like, fuck.

I have several other types of syn, but I have noticed that when I hear sound it has a color. I do not actually see it like with my taste>color but it is constant. Most people's voices are beige or gray, but music is all sorts of colors. Am I going crazy or is this syn?
Hello Anon,
Yes, this is a type of synesthesia.  A person’s syn falls into one of two categories; Associator or Projector.
A projected synesthetic reaction is when the synnie actually sees/hears/etc the reaction.  This would be your taste>color.
An associative synesthectic reaction is when a synesthectic response is just in their mind space.  This would be your sound>color.
There are lots of resources on this and if you would like to know more we would be happy to recommend some.

1. Do you have Synesthesia (Yes/no) Yes
2. Do you have dyslexia? (Yes/no) If yes, have you been diagnosed? No
3. Do you have ADHD? (Yes/no) If yes, have you been diagnosed by a doctor? If you have been diagnosed do you currently take medication for it? No
4. How old are you? 17
5. What is your gender?(male/female) female
6. Does anyone in your family have Synesthesia (yes/no) If so list all the family members. not in my household I think, though I know my dad is prone to sensory overload type reactions to lights and noises, especially when he's driving which happens to me with my synn-idk if that means anything- but otherwise I'm not sure
7. What types of Synesthesia do you have? (List all) sound<color-grapheme<color - day of the weeks/months of the year<color - sometimes taste<color - and minimal object personification
8. Do you project or associate? associate mostly with the exception of a few "bonus moments"
9. Do you have any food allergies? If yes please specify. No
10. Do you concider yourself to be creative? (yes/no) Yes
11. DO you have problems with anxiety? Yes
12. Do you get panic attacks? No
13. Do you believe you have heightened senses? unsure
14. Are you a picky eater? No
15. Do you have a good memory? Yes
16. Do you have Asthma? I used to
17. What are things that trigger sensory overload for you? Driving/riding in a car; the combination of the engine sounds and the radio and the outside colors and noises are too much - I work in Kindergarten classrooms and that can be a big trigger sometimes
18. Comments or anything else you think is relevant to this study? I wonder what else could be common companion disorders to synn (not that it's a disorder but it could accompany certain neurological disorders) because I know sometimes compulsions related to my OCD and feelings of unease related to my synn can overlap. Plus I have Tourette Syndrome which can be exacerbated during a sensory overload as well as a long familial history of anxiety. - Just some food for thought (no pun intended)

Can we have the downtown shopping area speakers only play music that matches the weather?
Absolutely!  We now have a series of spotify playlists for different types of weather.  If you would like to add songs to these playlists, let us know.  Also, if the specific playlists do not match your expectations you can go to the blue library and pick up an mp3 player which you can fill with more specifically tailored playlists.

Hello, may I enroll to be a student here? Also, are we allowed to use glade plugins in to dorms? I have a nice, yellow-orange one I am particularly fond of.
Hello and welcome to the synnie squad.  All are welcome, and as long as the scent that you bring does not cause an adverse effect to any students or faculty around you it is more than welcome.

The canvas has a muddy color that looks absolutely nothing like the music. WHY DOESN’T GRURPLE EXIST!!??
Have you had an opportunity to experience our 4D Art Studio?  You may be able to achieve the perfect shade of grurple there with enough practice and inspiration.

Hey I just discovered this page and I have a question! Do you know if associating colors with personalities could be related to what people refer to as seeing auras? I’ve been trying to figure out why I see colors for certain people and no one else does… Some have suggested to me that I see auras, but I’m just now making the connection that it could also be related to my synesthesia, (I have color to sound as well).
It has been theorized that emotional synesthesia may be the cause of the phenomenon known as Auras.  (*)  Both answers are correct, but synesthesia is considered to be the cause of the phenomenon, while auras are the non-scientific explanation.
I am so glad you have discovered us, and we hope to be hearing more from you in the future.

Can you please instruct my algebra teacher to stop printing homework on salmon colored paper if there are a lot of threes? The blue and salmon clash horribly and it makes 3 uncomfortable.
Thank you for bringing this up with us.  We will do our best to accommodate your syn.  From now on, all algebra worksheets will be printed on goldenrod paper.

Synnie Squad Town’s origins, pt 1
Many, many years ago, there was a store. It was a small store. One could say it was in the middle of nowhere. Its base customer were the bisons that went by as they migrated. They were a fascinating species, the store owner thought. He used their fur for currency in exchange for already bundled grass for easy reaching. With the surplus, he could make other clothing he could sell at the closest town. It was hard work, but he knew that their furs were the difference between a cozy night, or a very uncomfortable one.
One day, a lady came by. She was simply gorgeous, the store owner thought. She wasn’t exactly lost. She knew where she wanted to go and where to make a right turn, but she didn’t know if she had already passed by the shrubbery she was to go by.
“Hi,” the lady saluted the store owner. “Do you know if I’m close to the shrubbery?”
“Well I don’t think so,” the man said. ‘Maybe you mean the little bundles of grass I do.”
“Possibly! I’m going to Blue Water, and I was told I had to go by the taller grass and then take a right.”
“Well, I’ll be on the lookout for any other shrubbery if you need me, miss...?”
“Miss Kella.”
“Miss Kella. Fantastic. Talen, at your service.”
“At yours.”
“This journey you conduct, may I wish it’s a round trip?”
“You may.” Her face shifted.
