Yo. Any thoughts on the "Ban Steve" discourse? Steve main just handily beat many top players to win Super Smash Con. Personally I don't play Ultimate that seriously, I think the block man is funny to see, and the discourse is funnier.

I actually have a lot of thoughts about Steve. Or, rather, character bans in general.

I personally feel he is not really any fun to play against and I don't think he is any fun to watch as a spectator, either. Yes, he has been getting a lot of results lately and people have talked about banning him, and I'd like to point out that the player who won Smash Con, Onin, I believe picked up the character and specifically wants to prove how broken he is by showing people how quickly a player can rise to the top using Steve. Now, Onin is also like 16 and could be doing it for the memes for all I know, but I do think that it highlights, at the very least, that the community has to keep an eye on Steve.

As far as bans in general, I think the Smash community has a proven track record for being cowards when it comes to experimenting. There is nothing wrong with setting aside a block of time, perhaps a few months, and testing out new rulesets or even character bans. When a single character starts to dominate the results, especially when previously middling players suddenly start dominating, I think there is nothing wrong with trying out new rules to see if things drastically change. Without any real evidence, all we get is a bunch of arguments on Reddit and Twitter. Metaknight and Bayonetta were huge problems that no one was willing to address and it just put the community in the spotlight due to the toxic fans and infighting.

Looking back at results from some of the big tournaments for Brawl and Smash 4, Metaknight and Bayonetta were commonly making up half of the Top 8-12 results, sometimes more. At the current moment, we're not seeing that with Steve, which is why I said the community needs to keep an eye on Steve, not that he should be banned, or even that we should try testing a ban yet.

TL;DR - Don't ban Steve yet, but keep an eye on him

PS - I am a huge rugby fan and rugby will often change a rule across an entire league as a means to test the impact. They will also scrap the rule change if it doesn't have the desired effect, or if it has an unforeseen effect. I've been against rule changes in the sport, and have come around on a lot of them once I saw it in action, and I think a lot of competitions should embrace experimentation because it gives real evidence and results instead of conjecture. Yay, my first SSBU request! That food looks so good, I don't think I could choose just one picture. Anyway, I hope you savor this just like the fighters would savor that food!

Bayonetta

- "Why, thank you darling, I'm famished!"

- She will eat the entire plate and then ask for seconds.

- Bayonetta has the best table manners you could possibly imagine. Even if she's ravenous, you'll never catch her eating like a wild animal, especially not in front of you. She looks so elegant while she eats and somehow manages to never get a single crumb on her face.

- She will happily feed some to Gomorrah. It may be a spawn of Satan, but hey, demons need to eat too.

- Speaking of which, Gomorrah now loves you for this.

- She'll make sure that you have some too; she refuses to eat unless you eat with her.

- As a pleasant conversationalist, she has plenty of things to talk about. Bayonetta will happily listen to whatever you might have to say, but she'll definitely be the one to direct the conversation.

- She adores your smiling face as you both dine with delight.

- Between you, Bayo, and Gomorrah, there will be no leftovers; every last morsel will be gone.

- After you're done, she'll give you a big hug and a smooch, thanking you again for the delicious meal.

- Morgana will tell him to slow down numerous times, and Joker will completely ignore him every single time.

- You and Morgana will have to keep an eye on him because there's a large possibility that he might choke.

- He nearly did choke at one point, which was super scary.

- If Morgana tries to steal some, Joker will swat his paw away.

- He'll definitely have more than one plate of food. Good thing you made extra.

- When he first starts eating, he'll wolf everything down and all his manners will go out the window. As he continues, he'll slow down to a normal pace and eat like a normal person.

- He'll apologize afterward for being so messy and will help you clean up afterward.

- Leftovers for later? Hell yeah.

- Expect him to ask you for the recipes. He totally isn't gonna steal them to impress his friends back home.

- He'll give you a sweet kiss on the forehead as thanks for everything you've done for him.

- Post-dinner cuddles! That meal hit all the right spots, and the best thing to do now is to relax and let everything settle.

Sora

- He'll get SO excited.

- "Woah, this is all for me?! Thanks!"

- He'll eat way more than you expect him to. You'd never think that much food could fit inside his stomach. He'll just keep eating and eating and eating some more.

- You'll have to hide some food if you want leftovers, because at the rate Sora will go, it won't look like he's stopping anytime soon.

- He wants to show his appreciation as much as he can, so he tries to eat a ton. Sora won't wolf everything down, but he'll eat at a quicker pace than one should.

- Sora thinks everything is delicious; he literally has hearts in his eyes from how in love with the food he is.

- Looking up and seeing you chuckling and smiling at him makes everything even better. Just knowing that you made the food fills him with joy.

- He won't stop thanking you for everything. He'll say it ten times before he even starts eating.

- He keeps trying to talk to you while he eats. You constantly have to remind him to swallow his food before he starts speaking.

- When he's finished, he finishes it off with a big burp and leans back in his seat, hands patting his stomach. He'll thank you for the thousandth time before getting up to give you a hug.

- Ten minutes later, Sora'll get a massive stomachache from how much food he ate. He doesn't mind though; in his eyes, it was all worth it.

Zero Suit Samus

- She'll be shocked at first. All of this food is for her and her alone? No, this doesn't feel right.

- She'll feel bad that you went through all of this hassle just for her. But once you reassure her that it's no trouble at all and you're more than happy to cook for her, that tiny smile of hers will finally appear on her face.

- Samus insists that you eat with her. You've done all this hard work, you deserve to sit back and relax for a change.

- Out of all four characters mentioned here, she is the most calm about the whole thing. Don't mistake this for a lack of care; she greatly appreciates what you did for her.

- Out of all four characters, she's also the one who leaves the most leftovers. She wants to make it last; it sucks to spend hours on food only to have people eat all of it in one fell swoop in nearly half the time.

- She remains quiet for the most part, listening to what you have to say without interruption and only giving input when necessary.

- You can see the gratitude in her eyes as she consumes everything.

- Afterward, she thanks you calmly and helps you clean up.

- After a wonderful meal like that, movie night is a must.

Hehehe artists commentary time. Cause idk I wanna talk about it.

This took me a long time ngl. I mean part of that was a took a break and then had to actively make myself sit down and finish it, which I don't regret.

This was the first time I've drawn Ranno and Liligator (as well as greninja from the front), so between that and the character spacing, posing, lineart, the fact I didn't have an actual lineart pen for most of this, and attempted color matching (cough cough perfectionist cough), it was a challenge. Dude color matching Liligator's blue was really frustrating for a while, but I'm happy with how it turned out. And its As Close As I Can Get™. Ranno's bubbles gave me hell when I started coloring them. I swatched a lot of potential strategies before I tried on the sketch, so eventually it worked out and I think they work pretty good. I've drawn greninja a couple times cause they're my main in ssbu, but MAN. Drawing them from the front. Not doing that again anytime soon I'm doing just great with a three quarters angle thanks. I still think their face looks off, but I redrew their eyes at least 50 times and had to just Leave It if I ever wanted to continue.

Despite all of that, I had such a clear image of this idea in my head so I went and put it on paper. Honestly this was really fun and I like having a project I can chip away at for a couple days.

Falco: (Walks Out of the Theater Along with the Others Besides Him)......What the hell did he just watch in there?

Fox: A horror movie based on Winnie the Blood....Even saying that out loud feels off-putting

Kazooie: (Already Has a Deadpinned Look on her Face) Everything about that movie is off-putting.

Banjo: Yeah, but at least none of his friends were in it besides him and Christopher. (Starts Shivering at the Thought) I don't think I could stomach through seeing Piglet try and kill someone.......

Kazooie: Or Rabbit. The guy's already a neat freak, imagine how that obsession will play out in a horror flick.

Falco: You think that's bad? How's a movie about Tigger pouncing on people to death just for shits and giggles?

Banjo: (Groans and Sworming in Discomfort) Did you have to come up with that idea? Tigger's one of my favorites! Next to Igor. (Grabs his Chin) Whom I don't think he has anything to work with in a horror world.

Falco: Give the team a few weeks. They'll probably make it the most mess up movie you'll ever see on the big screen.

Kazooie: Oh, you know, the basic elements for any twisted horror films: body possession, psychological torture, shadow manipulations. Egor's the most depressed out of the bunch so there's PLENTY for them to with in hindsight.

Krystal: (Giggles Softly) Not exactly. The experience there has been going along smoothly for the most part. Though, I would be lying if I say things hasn't quite as cheerful without you boys around.

Banjo: .....Uhhh (Quickly Sticks his Hand Out Towards Krystal's Point of View) M-My name is Banjo, ma'am! One of the new competitors in the Smash Bros Tournament.

Once the whistling ended and he begins to walk closer to the gang, the hooded figure reveals himself to be none other than Fox's longtime rival: Wolf O' Donnell.

Wolf: Buenas noches, perdedores?

Fox: (Couldn't Believe What He's Looking at Right Now) Wolf?

Krystal: What on Corneria City, are you wearing?

Kazooie: (Raises an Eyebrow in Confusion) And since when did know how to speak Spanish?

I want to say that I love your Luigi art so much. My question is: How many AUs do you have now, and are you planning to make more?

Currently I’d say I have 5 AUs (though I’ve drawn other little ideas)

1. Castlevania AU: The one based on the SSBU X Castlevania reveal trailer, but Luigi gets bitten at Dracula’s castle

2. mAIRio AU: The one with the evil Mario Bros that run a Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) business

3. Syncytium AU: The one where Luigi and Gooigi accidentally fuse (inspired by Venom)

4. Extra Gift AU: The one where Luigi gives Peasley a piece of fruit that neither one knows is infected with parasitic moth eggs (this AU is for true Profbastard fans ONLY, LOL. I kid)

5. Blight AU: This AU is more of a timeskip than anything. Mario is king of the Mushroom Kingdom and Luigi is king of the Beanbean Kingdom (having married Peach and Peasley respectively). BUT- the goddamn Shroobs are back for revenge.

And oh man I have no idea how many AUs I’ll create. I’ve wondered myself. Because it is never really on purpose, I just become so CONSUMED with one of my hypotheticals I’m like “I must see this through to the end.” It’s almost always that I get inspired by the most random, small thing and my brain spirals deliciously.

There’s no doubt in my mind I’ll make more AUs, just because my brain is the way it is 😅 and I love that for me 😎

Also I finished a playthrough of the first Sakura Wars game. I'm also playing Shenmue right now. And once that's done I'm starting Resonance Of Fate!

Prior to PXZ2, I had played Fire Emblem: Awakening, and the Ace Attorney Triology and Investigations duology.

In my opinion, this is a better crossover than Smash Ultimate. In Project X Zone 2, the characters actually INTERACT!

I also love how many games are confirmed to take place in the same universe!

I agree with the pxz2 being a better crossover compared to ssbu (in terms of character interaction.)

like, I didn’t know anything about chrom or lucina before playing pxz2 (I did play ssbu, but wasn’t really interested in them.)

pxz2 made me realize they are indeed unique characters! So I watched a playthrough of fire emblem awakening to get a better understanding of them (maybe I’ll play it one day.)

I sort of love/hate the whole “some games take place in the same universe.” The hate just comes down to me looking at certain games and going “Um ACkTually ThAt DoESn’t MaKe SENse BecAUsE xyz...” I completely understand that it’s more convenient this way and that I shouldn’t be looking into it so deeply lol.

I still think the yakuza and ace attorney thing was genius.

2. What was their first impressions of each other?

Boy, did they have...interesting first impressions of each other. In Plucky's point of view, they thought Richter was a "karate-sort-of guy", unaware that he's actually a vampire hunter. For Richter, he thought of Plucky as an outsider, maybe from a distant country, far from where Dracula's Castle resided (in reality, Plucky has dimension-hopping powers).

5. Did any of them try to resist their feelings?

Yes. It didn't go well. It's like pumping up a balloon with more air than it needs, and then it suddenly blows up in your face. However, it only created negative tension between Richter and Plucky, thus leading to them making too many assumptions. It wasn't until they got "stuck" in an escape-room-like situation (in reality, Kirby and DDD came up with this plan) and couldn't get out, unless they both confessed.

Who initiated the relationship, and how did it go?

Continuing from the above answer, Richter did. He really didn't want Plucky to be drowning in this tension, so he outright confessed to them every single feeling he bottled up, up to that point. It started out bad at first (in which Plucky started tearing up), but it soon turned around for the better, as it finally gave Plucky the courage to confess too. So, it ended on a positive note (and DDD casually commenting, "Awww, lookit the lovebirds!!")

9. Who's more protective?

It's split between them, actually. Should you hurt either of them, or even insult them, please prepare yourself for a fight with one of the strongest Belmonts out there. If we're talking about Plucky, however, they will either dropkick you, or pull out their weapon.
