Tarte au Citron, or Lemon Tart, is a classic French dessert known for its tangy and refreshing flavor. It features a buttery crust filled with a smooth and luscious lemon custard filling.

Ingredients: 1 9-inch pre-baked tart shell. 4 large eggs. 3/4 cup granulated sugar. 1/2 cup fresh lemon juice. 1 tablespoon lemon zest. 1/2 cup unsalted butter, cubed. Whipped cream or powdered sugar, for garnish optional.

Instructions: Preheat oven to 350F 175C. In a medium saucepan, whisk together eggs, sugar, lemon juice, and lemon zest. Add cubed butter to the saucepan and cook over medium-low heat, stirring constantly, until the mixture thickens and coats the back of a spoon, about 8-10 minutes. Do not let it boil. Pour the lemon filling into the pre-baked tart shell. Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until the filling is set. Remove from the oven and let cool completely before serving. Garnish with whipped cream or powdered sugar if desired. Slice and serve.

Appreciation.

Ce n'était qu'en ouvrant le paquetage que j'ai compris avoir fait le meilleur achat de la semaine. Ce blanc tacheté ne pouvait exister nulle part autre que sur cette table basse. Elles sont au nombre de cinq, de quoi regretter de ne pas en avoir pris davantage. Mais bon, au moins, il y en a, et je n'ai pas intérêt à les finir vite cette fois !

Ah ! Cette journée au jardin était extrêmement fatiguante quand j'y pense. Toute cette dure labeur, ces mauvaises herbes retirées, ces gouttes de sueur... Tout ceci ne sera jamais fait en vain. Pour preuve, voici ma récompense : cinq magnifiques tartes au citron meringuées devant mon feuilleton préféré.

Je trouve n'empêche dommage que je ne puisse pas partager ce doux moment avec quelqu'un. Certes, une compagnie ne serait pas de refus. Mais qui donc appeler ? Je n'ai ni famille, ni amis, ni femme.

Cependant, quand j'y pense, je préfère cette situation. Dans la vie, même si on n'aime pas certaines choses, il faut toujours y voir le bien qui s'y cache. J'admets qu'il est parfois difficile de le trouver, mais ce n'est en rien impossible. Un peu comme cette tarte : on ne voit que la meringue légèrement flambée au-dessus. Qui aurait pu deviner qu'une crème aussi nuageuse qu'exceptionnelle se cacherait à l'intérieur ?

LEMON CURD : MON CITRON A TARTINER

Pour la chandeleur, j'ai préparé mes traditionnelles crêpes healthy, sans beurre ni sucre, mais tout aussi bonnes ! Et pour changer de la pâte à tartiner, j'ai profité d'avoir de beaux citrons à la maison pour me concocter un pot de lemon curd, cette fameuse crème au citron que l'on retrouve dans les tartes meringuées mais qui se déguste tout aussi bien en tartinade !

C’est une des recettes que mon père préparait souvent quand j’étais petite (comme sa mousse au chocolat), elle fait donc parties de mes préférées. Ce que j’aime avec le lemon curd, c’est qu’on peut l’utiliser de nombreuses façons : à tartiner, dans un yaourt, dans une tarte au citron meringuée, ou sur un autre dessert, ... Bref, il y a plein de possibilités !

Et en plus de ça, la recette est vraiment simple, alors il n’y a plus qu’à vous lancer ! 

Ingrédients : pour un pot : - 4 citrons - 3 œufs - 70g de sirop d’agave - 1 cas de maïzena

1. Versez la maïzena dans une casserole. 2. Râpez le zeste d’un citron avant de l’ajouter dans la casserole. 3. Pressez les citrons et versez le jus obtenu dans la casserole en mélangeant progressivement pour diluer la maïzena. 4. Ajoutez le sirop d’agave puis faites chauffer à feu moyen. 5. Mélanger régulièrement puis ajouter les œufs. 6. Continuez à mélanger régulièrement jusqu’à ce que le mélange épaississe. 7. Lorsque la consistance vous convient, il vous suffit de verser le lemon curd dans un pot préalablement nettoyé pour le conserver !

Pour bien nettoyer votre pot, je vous conseille d’y verser de l’eau bouillante jusqu’en haut et de laisser reposer quelques minutes à couvercle fermé, puis de vider l’eau. Cela vous permettra de conserver votre lemon curd jusqu’à 3 semaines au frigo sans aucun souci !

Background Snarry Recs

Silly as it sounds to some, seeing my OTP as a background ship in fic brings me such joy!

There is so much potential for drama and angst and all number of adventures when it comes to Snarry. Great romance, tragic heartbreak. They are soulmates, in my heart, destined to fall in love time and again, in every world.

Seeing them in the background, though, is a whole extra level of validation that pleases me greatly! Being able to explore other ships and their potential, while resting sure in my Snarry love. Seeing their brief interactions in other stories is like icing on the cake! Snarry is icing, other ship being the cake. It's that little rush seeing them appear and going "Oh! My boys! 😍"

But mostly it's the validation. They don't have to be front and center to be real. They can take up space in the background, happy and in love. And having a glimpse of them and their relationship through others' eyes.

Frankly, there's not enough background Snarry in the world for my liking! But here are a list of some I've found and loved!

Either the Gryffs are completely unphased and don't even understand why Draco is so nervous, or they are all just really understanding that Nev wouldn't be with Draco if he hadn't changed. Either way, they are welcoming and it's great.
