Ok I’ve never seen anyone with the same pazzi timeline as me so here it is lol also this is long asf and very detailed (yes I’m bored)

I think Paige prob had a crush on Azzi first, especially with her being a little bit older she might have already known she liked girls before meeting Azzi. I think Paige was probably azzi’s “gay awakening” if you will lol. But I think Paige might have even seen Azzi/thought she was cute before they officially met given how interconnected the basketball world is plus there was something on here about them having an overlap in Atlanta I think about a year before they officially met. But I think they became more than friends sooner than most people seem to think. I think they became more than friends (talking/fwb/situationship) whatever you want to call it, like almost immediately after meeting. Paige seemed to really be glued to Azzi during team USA era. So I think they became “more than just friends” in like 2017/early 2018. But especially being so young (Azzi would have been like 14/15 and Paige 15/16) and being long distance, and basketball being your #1 priority, AND coming to terms with your sexuality so young and with another person can make things complicated. But I believe they were only talking to/seeing each other all throughout high school. If someone tries to mention vinnie hacker to me, my answer is I just think Paige was trolling tbh 😭. But she obviously wasn’t out to the public yet in hs, and still isn’t technically but I mean it’s obvious lol, bc of her saying a guy as her celebrity crush in an interview I think her senior year. But I mean most of her family and close friends prob knew ab her and Azzi in hs given how close p & a were and how often they saw each other, while living states away. But yeah I’d say around 2020ish it became more serious, especially quarantining together they kinda got to play gfs/house together. I’m not quite sure if they were officially gfs at this time or just non official gfs, but I mean I’ve never named someone I’m just talking to or just fwb with as “💗” or called them my other half if we weren’t dating so… I think even when Paige first got to college they were just seeing each other bc of Azzi commenting how she missed Paige or something on tik tok and how she wanted to see her. Plus with Paige recruiting Azzi so hard I don’t think she would do that if they had “broken up” lol. But I guess sometime Paige’s freshman year she might have talked to other people. I wouldn’t be surprised if it happened or if it didn’t happen tbh. I’ve never seen solid proof of her talking with anyone else and I feel like if someone was talking to someone so famous we would all know about it lol. What I’m trying to say is she might have talked to other ppl but wasn’t really in a “talking stage”/in a relationship with anyone else ever. Also they both pretty much liked all of each others Instagram pics through hs and college so I don’t think they ever had a big fight/argument/falling out/breakup or whatever you want to call it. But yeah from my personal experience being so young and seeing a girl can kinda be confusing as to how that dynamic works (ex: who asks who out? How does it become official? Should we even tell anyone?) so it was probably just a kinda known thing that they were together in hs/early college years without the official label. But they both might have seen/talked to other people in like 2020/2021 but I don’t think they ever stopped seeing each other. Also I honestly would not be surprised if either of them have never really talked to/seen other people either so idk. But I think around mid 2022 (so like Azzi going into her sophomore year and Paige her junior year) they became officially girlfriends. This being because of how they interacted/posted with each other. Like the pic in Paige’s photo dump on tik tok of the old man with the flowers and her saying ���how I’m trynna be” was crazy lol. So yeah and obviously the longer they date the more serious and obvious it’s going to be for the public and this summer idk if they had a conversation about being more open or if it just happened naturally that way but it’s quite obvious that they are together and have been for awhile.

I cannot lie to u guys. A big motivator driving me to write the Shang Qinghua in Naruto fic (and specifically to finish it) is that I so desperately need to see one very specific scene of Houhua somehow getting zapped into canon

I genuinely don't remember if I've posted about this yet or only written it out in my notes app but like .

Houhua's gets into a fight and his mangekyou (relating to time shit and directly connected to the 'real' naruto universe via the system) kind of smashes into Obito's mangekyou (dimension travel shit) and also possibly even into Sasuke's own (idk whether he has the rinnegan or not in this au / at that point, but he's also there, and if he does have it, it'd also pitch in w time and dimension)

And basically, all three of them get tossed face first into canon naruto for a bit! I'm sure this can't possibly go wrong.

They get scattered across fire country ,,, They were originally fighting in some 3rd location and Houhua lands back inside of Konoha, and assumes (logically) he just got regular teleported and not hit with the fucking dimension travel beam.

So, yk, he goes 'oh FUCK I lost Sasuke' and goes straight for the Hokage tower to tell Tsunade what happened, bc

a) last uchiha(s),

and b) they were quite possibly specifically sent out on some mission together by her when it was crashed by Obito

Maybe they were going to try and hunt down Itachi ?? Sharingan vs sharingan,,,, idk but if they were then Itachi is also probably around here somewhere due to the dimension zap. No one ask me the specifics I have no idea yet, this would be so down the line in the story

But anyways. Just. Houhua bursting into the Hokage's office then immediately bursting into tears and wailing smthn ab having "lost Sasuke" to a very confused Tsunade and very alarmed team of ANBU agents

More realistically, he'd never be able to make it up into the Hokage's office, so like. Houhua being stopped (by people he knows !! that no longer seem to know him !!) at the doors as he is confused and angry bc WHAT THE FUCK YOU GUYS HE HAS TO REPORT IN LIKE YESTERDAY !!! THEY HAVE AN EMERGENCY ON THEIR HANDS !!!

Houhua accidentally manages to bullshit his way into the Hokage's office by just acting so confident (bc ofc he is! He fr thinks he's supposed to be allowed to be here!) and also jabbing his finger into an ANBU's face and calling them out by code name like he knows exactly who they are, going SPARROW U ARE NOT DOING THIS TO ME RIGHT NOW !! THIS IS NOT THE TIME FOR THIS SHIT !!!

Maybe he throws in Itachi's name somewhere in there if the mission he was sent on involved trying to hunt him down

Either way, the ANBU are successfully convinced (and confused) that this guy... must belong here? Is he some higher up? Was he undercover? They dont know but he sure does know them and is acting like everything is ok, so...?

I just need Houhua interacting with canon tbh, au x canon is my favorite thing ever, in the entire world. He deserves to get zapped into naruto canon w Sasuke for a while !!

Meanwhile, Obito is now in an alternate world close enough to the one he left that he doesn't really care (Houhua's existence has not impacted him much tbh) but like. No consequences. Obito doesn't have to worry ab his plans here bc this isn't his world so nothing really matters. But it's still similar enough that the people (read: Kakashi) he might interact with are basically the same to him

So anyways Obito goes to give Kakashi some special 1 on 1 harassment. Could literally go in any direction tbh

Obito probably appears in his room like a little freak and just starts fucking w Kakashi as Kakashi goes through the "who are you how did you get in here" routine (while slowly sliding into an "oh god its Obito" realization fueled panic attack the longer the conversation goes on)

In true Obito fashion, Obito mood swings like no one has ever mood swings before, alternating between making some serious threats to saying straight up creeper shit he'd probably never even voice aloud in his original world

But he can say them all here because there are no consequences, and he wont even have to look himself in the mirror later when he goes home and itll all be fine :DD

Kakashi is having a straight up bad time.

Meanwhile Itachi is just having. A time.

He probably goes back to the Akatsuki only to be faced to face with HIMSELF and immediately checks tf out of just. All of this. He is dissasociating.

The Itachi's haaateeee each other btw, pure self-loathing directed at eachother in such a passive aggressive way. It's very telling, actually.

It would be incredibly uncomfortable for anyone to watch but most of the Akatsuki (Deidara and Hidan especially) are watching with rapt attention while shoveling popcorn into their mouths. Deidara is especially delighted to see that even Itachi himself can't fucking stand another version of him

(As if Deidara could last 1 minutes alone in a room with another him without trying to blow each other up)

Eventually ofc they realize the root of the differences between their worlds (Houhua) tho I think the first real difference they'd note would actually be Jun's existence-- just because he's the easier topic between them, since he's occasionally partnered with (our) Itachi

Idk how they bring up Houhua but like, once he's prought up, (canon) Itachi would be like "Who?" in just the flattest voice as (our) Itachi has a little episode of 'oh. he doesnt exist here.'

Itachi having to describe Houhua to someone else,, but that someone else is himself so he finds himself being more honest than he might have otherwise been w literally anyone else,,, ough,,

(canon) Itachi has Izumi, and mmmayyybe they'll realize that they're just gender bent versions of each other (kind of, anyways) but I kind of doubt it. Either way, thatll be a fun conversation to have

Even more fun of a conversation is the inevitable Sasuke conversation, which I do not even know where to begin with

WHICH ALSO BRINGS US TO SASUKE. WHO IS OUT THERE SOMEWHERE. IDK WHAT HES DOING BUT MAN IS HE LOST.

Sasuke's part of this arc could go in a lot of directions depending on if he defected from the village or not (still undecided on that but for now lets say he isnt, since Tsunade sent him on that hypothetical mission w Houhua)

Just. A slightly healthier and more stable and sane Sasuke who was raised by Houhua after the massacre. Ok and now throw him at his canon counterpart. I think they would also dislike eachother

Canon Sasuke probably burns with envy at the knowledge that this Sasuke got to keep one of their clansmen, and that Houhua helps to shoulder the burden of revenge. But he also has scorn for the fact that Houhua has seemingly "held him back" from revenge or some shit. Not entirely to mask his jealously, tbh

Idk but like, Sasuke vs Sasuke. It's a mess.

Don't let Naruto meet the Sasuke who never left Konoha / possibly came back or he'll lose his mind ab it

Tbh thinking about the plan stagedduo had, we kinda know what their objective was but we dont know how they were gonna achieve it. We can speculated about the bits of their plan we know, like why the staged finale and the prison, on how there might have been a plan for cdream to speedrun his stay to soon go meet punz outside, the death experiments etc etc. But im gonna be honest, I dont think they had a very concrete plan after the prison. We know that whatever plan the had for the prison went wrong, but after that we dont see much of them trying to achieve their objective.

Bc of the talk we saw while they planed staged finale, punz knew about dream objective of wanting the server as a family united, and agreed with it and that didnt change even in the finale. So they really didnt do much to achieve that post prison. We saw mostly punz encouraging dream in his revenge plans and this plans failing. We actually see dream lacking a lot of initiative here. We never see them do much to achieve this, the closest thing it's when in the finale they want to reset the server but for what it seems, it's a last minute plan and could be half lie half true for how they're telling to c!clingyduo. We even saw punz almost leaves the prison but decides to stay still which means he wasnt in a hurry to leave either, so didnt have any urgent to do. Hell, whe ctommy went back to the prison they were just there vibing not even doing anything.

I just think that, whatever they had planned to do for post-prison or got discarded seeing how badly the og plan backfired dream or they didnt plan so far in advance and were hoping something will come to their minds once they were done with the prison. I think c!stagedduo didnt have a plan really for that part, they knew what they wanted to achieve, but after some point they were improvising for me tbh

Mmm good thoughts good thoughts. So I’ve thought about this a lot and honestly my opinion continues to change and has shifted quite a bit since the finale. But I’m at the place now that I’m starting to wonder just how planned out Dream was…

So I mean we very much do know what their objective is, Dream has said it multiple times and Punz has supported that multiple times. I think it’s fair to say we know what that set out to do, what they desired, what they were motivated by. They wanted their family back, they wanted “everyone to live and be happy together”. The question is how?

Well, I don’t think there was a Plan at the beginning. Dream was just doing things with the motivation of keeping people together, which changed stream by stream with Punz often backing him up. Then things start to take a turn and there becomes a sub motivation - survival - because in order to keep trying to bring the server back together, Dream and Punz kinda have to be alive and so does his family. So, he makes the deal with Schlatt for the Revival Book, actively going against his original goal for the sake of being able to keep his family alive. What I think he didn’t realize was just how much that would piss people off and how much hatred he’d start gaining as he tries to keep people from forming nations and further dividing. Thus comes the next sub motivation - become not The enemy - after all, is life worth living if everyone hates and wants to kill you? So, he changes the original use of the prison as some form of deterrent and safety, into his path to a redemption arc. Likely based on the thought that if it’s fear that’s making them hate him, then if he is powerless and they no longer fear him then surely they can grow to like him again or at least see him as just a person instead of this all-powerful monster needing to be slain (ha so much for that lol) [<>] [<>].

Plus there is also that safety aspect. Clearly, running into the woods, away from everyone didn’t stop them from going after Techno, so he’d let them win. But instead of killing him permanently, he’d provide the prison as an alternative so he gets to survive. Punz however isn’t really hated so much, so instead of bringing him down with him, it makes the most sense to stage a divide - hence we end up at staged finale.

Now here’s the thing, now that we know the experiments happened post-prison [<>] it makes the most sense to me if Dream actually didn’t tell Punz about the book before staged finale. In fact, I’m not sure he even meant to reveal he had it until the time it was needed. Perhaps he was just experimenting on his own with it like maybe trying to bring back Spirit and using it to influence Ranboo. But then Tommy is about to take his finale life, with no protest from the others, thus revealing that he has something that’ll keep them from killing him…

In other words, I talked about this before [<>] but I think Dream underestimated people, not their skill per se but their loathing. I think he didn’t think they’d try and kill him permanently. I think he thought that maybe Tommy didn’t hate him that much or other people would stop him. I think he thought, people would visit him in prison, that Tommy would visit him, that they would let him go after that saw how he wasn’t scary after all. But then the sentence became forever. Then Sapnap said he’d take his last life. Then Tommy said he wouldn’t visit, no matter what Dream did, no matter how pathetic he was or friendly or whatever, Tommy was never going to let him leave. No one was. Tommy killed his hope. Then he killed the cat, the only nice he had left and Dream broke.

So, he bashes Tommy’s head in with a potato once again going against all his previous goals. But who can blame him really? Tommy had punched him like 45 times (yes I counted [<>]), and he had spent 41 days in a lava covered box (12 in mostly isolation and 29 of which with a kid constantly insulting him, hitting him, and hoarding food.) And then he brings him back, proving that they need him alive. Which ends up with unintended consequences as Tommy is determined more than ever to end him and Quackity convinces Sam to let him torture the book out of him…

And what started as a path to ‘redemption’ turned into a path to hell and instead of 11 days like Exile, he spent close to 11 months in prison. He lives, sure. But everyone still wanted to kill him, now more than ever. Even his closest friends. It didn’t matter what he said, it fell on deaf ears...

So now, after months of torture and a complete failure to achieve his other goals, he forms a new motivation - to never be in that position of helplessness and misery again. So he hides in the prison, it’s the most secure place and surely no one will think to look for him there. And he forms new goals like - revenge. Not only did Quackity make him suffer, but Quackity was also perhaps the biggest threat to Dream, with as much vigor as Tommy but more resources and allies. Clearly, he is only good for turning people against Dream and dividing people up, so if Dream doesn’t wanna end up dead or under the knife again, Quackity’s gotta go preferably in the most painful manner possible. He may have failed to obtain his other goals in prison but maybe he could attain this one thing.

So that takes care of his torturer(s) (he doesn’t even have to try for Sam), leaving the reason he was tortured - for the Revival Book, which he didn’t give up because he didn’t want to die. So he shares the book with Punz, now he has insurance for next time. But still there is the fear of death so they do some experimenting… etc.

So what was staged duo’s plan? Well I’m not sure how much they had of one. I mean clearly they had a plan for the saw trap room, and clearly they didn’t seem worried about the potential of the whole server coming after them like, as you point out, they are just chilling when Tommy shows up, mind you chilling in the freaking cell (which will forever baffle me). So clearly they must have had some plan or maybe they just had the knowledge of the impending reset. Maybe they didn’t seem worried because they knew it was too late…

I don’t know. Maybe they caused the reset or maybe not [<>] [<>] All I can say is that I don’t think they had a big plan for very long, if any, as far as some grand thing to bring back their big happy family. They did however have the big plan of staging a divide with Punz’s betrayal to send Dream to prison and to protect Punz from being killed. So despite what Dream says in the finale, I don’t think he did it for some strategy to live forever because “who would think to kill both of us” I think that came later. But it’s not like Dream is going to admit that to clingy duo. He’s supposed to be a big scary villain after all and it looks far better to pretend it was his master plan all along than admit how helpless he was or that the staged betrayal was actually more so just about him being attached and fearing they would hurt Punz to get to him.

So yeah, I think there maybe wasn’t a lot of a plan and yeah after prison they lacked a lot of initiative, something we see from Dream in general as far as his revenge and following up on his threats and such. But it’s not hard to understand why. Because like honestly, Dream can’t show his face without becoming a target and a fight breaking out, how are they supposed to bring people together? The server is so fractured into half formed nations how is he meant to do anything? His own “brother” doesn’t even care that he was tortured, like what do you even do after that? How do you form a big happy family if everyone hates you?… so maybe instead of bringing people back together, it became about trying to make things simple again by going back to a time of happiness and friendship where they still liked him, because that was the only hope he had of a better future…

Had things not gone down like it did, had everything gone to plan, I think they would have continued to try and mitigate, keep the peace, prevent further separation, bring people together like they had been trying to do before. I don’t think you can really make a larger plan for that goal as it depends on the circumstances and Dream just has to improvise the best he can in the moment. Their motivation still isn’t any less strong one way or another, that was their desire but you just can’t force peace and stuff through some master plan. You have to work with the individual and try to bring them together. And ideally he would have became friends again and stuff since they let him out so that’s certainly a step in the right direction…

Hi. I’m Treasure Planet posting. Did you guys know I love that movie. Disney leave it alone. Disney no remakes or sequels please. Disney let it remain perfect and spotless in my mind.

Actually I wouldn’t consider it QUITE perfect bc it has that one annoying robot but tbh I’m convinced that he was the product of Disney breathing down the writers’ throats to have “more comic relief”

Other than that AUUGHHGHHHHH ITS SO BEAUTIFUL 😭

There was a sequel in the works for a while but tbh I’m so glad it didn’t come to fruition. They were gonna give backstory on how Silver lost his limbs but we already know. He lost them looking for Treasure Planet. We don’t need specifics. Also the plot seemed very much like it would’ve backtracked on all of the development from the first movie. We literally see Jim grow up and become confident in himself but all of a sudden in the sequel he’s angsty and rebellious again? Also Silver was gonna be skinny in the flashbacks? See I could’ve tolerated everything else but that is where I draw the line.

If the sequel did happen I would watch it purely for more father/son found family bonding without the looming doom of Silver’s betrayal around the corner. It’s okay tho because I have fanfiction to fill that void. I also hope that B.E.N. Would stay at the inn for most of the movie. I’m sorry I really tried to like him but that robot makes me so angry.

Also for some reason Amelia was gonna be the dean of Jim’s college??? Sorry but that takes away from her entire character. Because it’s basically a military school and I believe it’s canon that Amelia stopped being in the military because of how strict they controlled everything.

If I were to make a sequel, I would make it go more in depth about the political system in the Treasure Planet universe because the video game touched on that a little bit. But it would have a different ending than the video game bc I HAAAATTEEE that ending. Basically Jim is in the spacer military and the whole political conflict is the same as the video game and Kate is a major character but I don’t think I’d give them a romance story. To me it just felt like they really wanted a love interest for Jim and so OF COURSE he has to fall in love with the only girl character!!!! Kate’s father is in a pretty high up military position and so she’s very much type A, stick to the rules, don’t cause problems kind of girl. Jim isn’t the rebellious 15 year old boy he was in the first movie but he does have a tendency to do things in a way that isn’t traditional and might make some of his superiors a little upset. The two of them PLUS Onyx because he’s also a character from the game and he looked really cool, all get sent in some kind of mission together and at some point they have to stop in a pretty crime-heavy port. They get cornered by a group of pirates while they’re there only to find out that these pirates are led by none other than JOHN SILVER HIMSELF and he’s quick to tell the rest of the pirates to leave them alone and back off because that’s JIMBO who they’ve heard all about from the stories Silver tells at meal time. They are very happy to see each other, they’re cracking jokes, Silver is a proud father. Meanwhile Kate is brooding the whole time because Jim shouldn’t have any kind of relationship with a pirate. Also at the end Silver retires because he’s getting old anyway and spends the rest of his days sailing from planet to planet and making routine visits to Montressor. Ummm anyways those are just a few of the great ideas my brain is capable of. But also I’m happy that there was no sequel because they just don’t get it like I do. Disney needs to sign over the rights to Treasure Planet to ME. Then I could write a really good fanfiction and it would be canon. And I could read other people’s good fanfiction and go “hey this is canon now btw”

fucked up my hand in the middle of sewing so i won't be able to make progress in a while :') but while i'm here i might as well show what i got done so far. made everything but the tie :3

long ramblings about the process so far below

started working on all this for a bit over month. been alternating between maya and jun's outfits but ultimately switched focus to maya because her stuff was more complex.

this post is mostly about maya but here's the only interesting part of jun's stuff rn

i don't like the stitching on the roman numeral either but who will look. my eyes are Up Here. might paint over the thread so it doesn't stick out as much but who knows. also kind of off topic, it threw me off so bad that jun is a third year but in official art he's always shown with the two on his collar?? had to do some digging to make sure i wasn't crazy for thinking he was a senior.

the rest of his jacket is currently like a very basic looking cardigan with raw edges everywhere, nothing worth showing off rn. i think i'll continue working on it now that i can only work one-handed for the time being since the machine does most of the heavy lifting. as for the pants, i thrifted a pair several months ago. it's actually the reason i wanted to cosplay him lol, the pants were just the perfect color.

side note, my machine is Mischievous and simply refuses to sew down several layers at a time, or even just my beige fabric for some reason. so everything beige is sewn entirely by hand. maybe that's why i got carpal tunnel lol

here's what the sleeves look like on both sides and also on the inside

tbh i never realized it until i looked at her design more closely but she has like these little squares on half of her sleeves, so i tried to recreate that. it's basically just two rectangles sewn together but one of the rectangles is made up of other, smaller rectangles. nothing crazy. however, sewing the trim and elastic to it suckedddd. generally to sew elastic or stretchy fabric, you have to use a zigzag stitch (which looks exactly as you'd imagine). the easiest way to do that is by machine, except i couldn't because of the problems i just described and also the opening is too small for me to properly put it under the machine anyway. i never want to do a zigzag stitch by hand ever again. especially not with having to push through like six layers of fabric like no ty </3

now the corset

side by side of how a half of it looks on the outside vs the inside. both cups on the inside are labeled left and right respectively, in case i forget which boob goes where. currently the trim is just pinned on until i recover and can properly sew it down. i'll also have to figure out how to get the two zippers and the little rectangle that goes at the bottom on it too. the zippers for sure i'll have to cut down bc they're too long (they were the smallest ones the store had :/)

i found a pattern for it and it was easy enough to follow, just took longer than i wanted it to because i had to do it by hand. i also modified the pattern a bit to have it zip up at the front bc by default it closes at the back. had to adjust it twice so it would stop slipping off from being loose (size chart was weird). that little triangle was the result of me trying to ease the transition from the cups to the back of the corset after making the adjustments. it's not very noticeable when i have it on bc that's where my arms rest lol.

you might also be looking at the weird looking foam like why's it look like that. and you're right!

this is leftover from when foam was installed in the ceiling by the landlord to reduce noise from upstairs neighbors! like ten years ago! and she just left it here!! there's a lot more of it not pictured, that's just the amount i used. so kind. had to cut the triangles off and trim some of the thickness off, but thanks to her, i'm gonna have the quietest boobs at the con :)

and the hearts

they're right here :3 i still haven't attached them yet.

the trim is just black fabric cut into 5cm by 1.5m strips attached to other strips to make a super long strip i fold into 2cm pleats and cut as i go to fit the things i need to put it on. the stitching looks messy bc i have to in several times on the machine and only sometimes does my machine want to sew down more than two layers. i bought a yard of the black but i might unfortunately need more? i will cross that bridge when i get there.

the brown zip up undershirt thing i just modified an existing pattern i found online so that the sleeves were longer, it zips instead of buttoning up, and making it cropped. the collar is just that comically large so i suggest adjusting that if you also plan on using this pattern and don't like the collar size.

the skirt is a simple a-line skirt made a few inches wider so after sewing it and it's properly shaped like a skirt, i can go over and fold two sides together for that pleat in the middle of the skirt. i went in by hand to sew the inside of the folds to the fabric behind them so that the pleat stays in place. then i cut a strip of elastic to a few inches less than my waist measurement, sewed the ends down to form a circle, folded the top of the skirt over it twice, and then sewed it down and boom waistband. looks kinda weird all bunched up when it's not being worn, but i didn't really care about making it too pretty. you only really see the bottom part of it lol

i also made legwarmers to wear with the outfit because i refuse to spend money on shoes i will never wear outside of cosplay. they're literally just tubes made of a singular rectangle each with elastic on one of the ends, easiest thing ever. i think those boots fit well enough with the overall vibe so i'll wear them with the outfit.

the beige skirt thing she has i cut out already but really didn't do anything with yet so i have nothing to show for it rn lol

oh also. the brown, black, pink, and teal fabrics are broadcloth, the beige is peachskin, and the white fabric and little things on the front of jun's collar are gabardine (leftover from lisa and elly's uniforms).

I was reading your tags on the akkayan post talking about rejection and how ayan was so mature and understanding despite the fact that he was hurt and it got me thinking about the our skyy episodes that I was rewatching yesterday. I don't think Ayan would really pretend to not remember akk's birthday and make him spend the whole day feeling bad about it just to surprise him later. what are your opinions about the special?

i get where you're coming from! honestly my thoughts were similar the first time i watched the our skyy eps, like it felt a lil ooc to me. but then i sat on it for a little while and after a rewatch of the whole show i felt differently about it.

i think ayan loves to tease akk. he LOVES to see him get all huffy and frustrated and annoyed. i didn't realise just how much he loves it until i went back and rewatched the eclipse again and i was like 'oh, this is literally a Thing for ayan', so i get why he might think it's a good idea to tease/surprise akk in that way, even if from the outside looking in you're kinda like hm maybe lets not do that!

on top of that he's in a much different headspace to what he was during the eclipse - both of them are. they're no longer in survival mode. ayan is a little more removed from the grief he felt for his uncle. so the version we see of both of their characters in the our skyy eps is likely closer to their baselines than the version we see in series. ayan in the show is kinda mentally fucked up, really. but then think abt who he became when he was around his mum, when he probably felt safest and most relaxed - goofy, full of jokes, teasing. and it's easily lost in everything that goes on in that show, but i think that's who he is at his core, yknow? a little bit cocky. very boyish. he LOWKEY does have 'pulling on your pigtails bc i like you' energy. and you do see moments of it in the main show!! but everything else that's going on is so big and he's going through so much that side of him just gets drowned out. (and the same goes for akk! he was soooo babyboy in the our skyy eps, and i think that's who he always was deep down, he just didn't feet safe enough to express until ayan! like! my boys grew so much in just a few months!)

and like... i know what i said in my tags (and still stand by it obv) but also... ayan is still a teenage boy, no matter how mature. he can obviously hold space for really, really big things and big emotions and can deal with them with the maturity of someone twice his age, but that doesn't mean he's not still immature. tbh in my experience usually the ppl that can deal w the biggest most fucked up things with the most grace are usually the ones who are the most immature/struggle the most in mundane situations. does that make sense? like trauma can make you weird. but not even that, i just think ayan thought it was a fun lil goofy idea, not thinking it all the way through, not thinking abt how it might hurt or upset akk. it happens! it happens in adult relationships, even. even ppl who have been together for years get things wrong sometimes! but ayan meant well. he never would've set out to intentionally hurt akk and akk knows that, nor do i think he realised just HOW upset akk was, and that's what counts imo.

i do ultimately think the our skyy eps were a little heavy handed, but i would no longer go so far to say that they were out of character. i think ayan's just a kid who thought 'i'll pretend to forget his bday so i get to see him all pouty and sulky for a few weeks, then he'll be sooo surprised when i play our song for him!' (which was acc so thoughtful and romantic even if i did nearly die of cringe) and misjudged it bc he's a kid and their relationship is still relatively new and they're still figuring themselves and each other out, yknow? at least that's my take on it! but i do completely get why people might disagree. you do kinda wanna grab ayan by the shoulders and go 'stop it! you're upsetting the baby!' while you're watching it lmao 💕

I was actually thinking about this when making the "opinion on different OP ships" thing! Because I was like "mmm Sanuso is my OTP but also Namivivi and tbh that's just a polycule bc I ship Nami with these two too... And Kaya needs to be there...". And now I can't stop thinking also about Namivivi x Kaya--

I mean. Nami x Kaya is just amazing and OPLA gave us SO much content I wasn't expecting but gladly accepted as canon. Because they're both from pretty different environments when it comes to money and social upbringings but they both lost their families. Nami finds comfort in money while Kaya sees it pointless if you don't have anybody to share it with. It gives both of them different perspectives of the world around them and I think their dynamic is sooo well done. Kaya is the sweetest but she fights for herself when she can and Nami might run away from danger but she will never leave alone somebody in need of help. Also, they're both pretty motherly and attached to kids and idk I think their relationship would work SO well. Adding Kaya to the Sanusona polycule is the best thing ever to me.

And Vivi x Kaya!!!!! I wasn't thinking about it until I made the post but now that I do I can't,,,, Stop picturing them,,,, They're like "yeah this is my girlfriend's girlfriend" but they'd end up getting along SO well. Once again I think they'd be so cute together and they'd support each other so much. Vivi would understand that your position/money doesn't make you who you are and Kaya would admire Vivi's strength and her story. Also, all of them here understand the loss of parents but I think that being a public figure makes the experience even worse because it comes with responsibility others besides Vivi and Kaya won't understand. Vivi is the princess who managed to travel and become a pirate for a while and see the world and I think Kaya (even if she is happy in her village and doesn't need anything else) would want a bit of that freedom too!

For now, this is like, my favorite ship, I think? But tbh it just goes attached to the whole East Blue polycule just... A bit different than how other people ship them? Usopp and Kaya are already dating when the story starts, then Sanuso and Namivivi happen separately, I like to think Usonami have something going on but it doesn't happen anything until WCI when Nami realizes her feelings for Sanji, and then when they come back, Kaya has like. is like when she left, she just up and left him in an empty bed and disappeared and so she’s basically saying that her and Billy were BOTH toxic to each other but she kept making mistakes going back to him and she writes this bc she knows it’s gonna hurt him to think that she thinks that he was all just a mistake and a game (which she might not fully believe but yk it’ll hurt him so)

and it’s just PURE ANGST WHEN HE LISTENS TO IT and the band lowkey doesn’t know how to react bc it’s like straight to cut/dig into him and all he does is go on a radio show the next week and talk MORE SHIT ABT HER bc the song goes viral and is EVERYWHERE so he can’t escape it hehe

dead boy detectives episode four thoughts

hey remember last post where i said last episode gave me everything I wanted. HOW ARE WE FEELING NOW BOYS. WE GOT THE BREAKDOWN!!! THAT MAN HAD AN EMOTIONAL OUTBURST AND COLLAPSED WE LOVE TO SEE IT!!!!!!

okay so i was wrong and charles' dad did not kill him. that's fine tbh I like this a lot, that he was essentially accidentally killed by his friends bc he stood up to them when they were bullying someone (? i think that's what the scene was implying. idk i was really excited about seeing him have a mental breakdown i might have missed something 😭). not to say that what they were doing was an accident, i just don't think they were trying to kill him i think they took the bullying too far and then maybe panicked when he died and covered it up, and that's why his death is unsolved? anyway very interesting! they truly do not miss with charles everything we've gotten from him is so great it makes me even more excited for edwin backstory haha

GOD CHARLES' BREAKDOWN.... that is everything i've ever wanted from a character repressing their emotions do u understand that. he got slammed into some of his worst memories, the most painful and traumatic moments of his life, and then with all those emotions back on the surface he went apeshit!!! i Love him getting aggressive to protect his friends (because that's really what he does, isn't it. he's the brains, i'm the brawn. god.) and then breaking down crying because he can't keep pretending like things are fine anymore, there's too much all at once for him to shrug it off. PHENOMENAL stellar acting stellar writing i love all of this i am eating it like soup!!!

and just. the things he was saying, about how he has to keep being positive he has to keep it together because if he doesn't who will? who else have they got to keep spirits up and stop the group from self-destructing? god it's. so good. i am not going to elaborate on some of that striking a nerve but. god. they gave me everything i wanted to see i love it so much!!! that is everything i hoped for from this story beat you understand!!!!

i wonder if maybe jenny is going to get an episode? or like a b-plot focused on her, something like that. the love letters seem like a plot thread that's going to be pulled on later, it just doesn't seem like this show to establish a mystery and then have it only be a background detail. we'll see tho ^^ i love jenny, i'd love to see more of her she's so fun. reminds me of a friend of mine tbh so i am biased, but also i deeply appreciate a woman with knives on a societal and also personal level 👍

okay can i just say. the night nurse (thank u noble for telling me her name <3) is kind of an asshole right. like i don't think she's evil she's doing a very necessary job, but it's actually delightful how ruthless she is about it. oh these two souls are refusing to move on? throw them into their worst traumas and the most painful moments of their lives to convince them there's nothing worth staying on earth for. sure, it's cruel, but who cares? it's efficient, and that's what matters. these are just children acting out to her, who don't understand the importance of what she does to keep everything in order. i love ruthless characters, and she's done so well she's so fun to watch

also. i do not think this is the last we've seen of her. like yeah she got fed to a sea monster but also she's literally from the afterlife and can travel back to earth wherever as long as she gets the permits. so. i think they bought some time, but that won't last long and they're still stuck in the town so i think she's far from done with them, and we'll see her again probably sooner rather than later (especially since she knows where they're staying)

crystal. my girl. beloved. PLEASE stop almost dying every episode it's bad for my blood pressure. you don't understand you're a living person which means they can kill you while still having you as a character on the show by making you become a ghost. you and niko don't have that safety net Please be more careful 😭

we got some really interesting lilith lore this episode, and it's got me thinking. a goddess of blood and wronged women... what about esther? she's been kidnapping and killing little girls, is that not wronging them? has it just not caught up to her yet because she's been making sacrifices, and if so what happens now that the squad has stopped her from kidnapping more kids? is she on some kind of time limit? this is So interesting I am deeply intrigued by the possibilities here...

the cat king was... there. okay i will admit the scene where he shapeshifted into monty and then charles was interesting. the implications are Fascinating, especially the order- he shifts into monty first and only briefly, but it doesn't seem to affect edwin until he shifts into charles. and then, edwin seems almost entranced until the yellow eyes show through which is. there are certainly implications! idk if it means anything besides instinctively trusting charles more bc they've known each other longer or something like that- especially considering this is netflix we're talking about, but then again the show got cancelled so maybe things did get gay! they've also set up edwin possibly having a crush on monty, or at least being unsure how he feels about him so. no idea but i am Keeping An Eye On That 👀

also. him saying he's never really been interested in/seen the appeal of kissing but now isn't sure whether it's something he wants... clutching grayro/demiro edwin to my chest. this is mine now he's one of us 👍

speaking of edwin, his moment there with niko at the end was really sweet. they're watching scooby doo together 😭 it's the perfect blend of their interests bc it's a detective cartoon.... their friendship is so cute holy shit. the simplicity and genuineness of their dynamic is so sweet, how edwin praises niko's detective work (telling her she's good at something very important to him!) and niko offers a listening ear without judgement as he works through what looks like it's shaping up to be a sexuality crisis. they mean so much to me... they're friends your honor!!!!

oh also charles and crystal kissed. idk man i don't have many thoughts on that. good for them 👍 I think the framing was sweet, in that the show sets up the kiss as the 'something real' crystal wants, but i will admit that part of me is disappointed because i wanted crystal and niko to get together. idk i thought they balanced each other out well, with crystal being subtle where niko is blunt and niko having hope where crystal is cynical, but. that's fine. i wasn't super invested. it's fine. no lesbians for me i guess... sad! oh well

all silliness aside, this episode was yet another Banger they simply do not miss!! the lighthouse ghost was such a fun character, and i love niko's kindness shining through again as she offers edwin red sea glass for courage and the walrus man green sea glass for emotional stability after telling him how she found the washerwoman. niko sasaki the woman that you are.... anyway i'm starting the next episode and then afterwards we'll see how i feel i might need to break for dinner lol

listen: i'm not going to hold anyone's feet to the fire and say "boycott or else" and i am not going to unfollow or unfriend people, but i have been thinking a lot about this, and then i saw a post on twitter basically outlining everything that i have been mulling over & then some, and it has just been on my mind all day (and tbh for a few days) and i thought that maybe if i put these thoughts out into the world, it might get people thinking.

i also realize that these thoughts would have been better if realized before black friday and current merch drops, but it is what it is. i didn't even know they were doing another merch drop because i do not pay attention.

THE AFOREMENTIONED THOUGHTS; APOLOGIES FOR BEING SCATTERED:

we are witnessing the starbucks boycott working, and although it is yet to be stated whether that is making anyone on the upper level rethink their bullshit, they have been losing billions !!! of dollars.

i think people will be like "but i don't want to hurt BTS as people," and i hear that, but i also do not genuinely think a boycott would. they are literally fucking millionaires, and it is so hard to not get on my "i don't respect millionaires or believe they have the right to exist" soapbox when i do love them so much, but i also don't think they need our money, especially right now. especially because some (if not most) money can't go to them while they are in the military anyway (although i did see something about how the artist collection proceeds still might since it was initially sold before??? idk. still they are fucking millionaires.)

i think that what would be impactful would be for people to stop buying the merch for a while to send a message to hybe that we are not in support of zionists working with BTS. a romantic, faraway dream is for them to drop scooter braun's dumbass all together, but i do not genuinely think hybe or bang pd gives a shit about much beyond money, which is unfortunate. on this note tho, we could organize an email campaign??? i am more than down??? but it would depend on a lot of you participating. (if you're down tho i will type it up right away.)

do i think we need to boycott golden as a whole? no. i mean........i'm not buying the album because i have personally been more or less boycotting merch since the whole angel pt. 1 debacle, but i think that streams are fine bc they hardly bring in money anyway. but i am boycotting the justin timberlake and usher remixes because.......well, sorry but the favs are problematic.

[going to center myself and my feelings quick and i apologize...] i just cannot get through a day without sobbing uncontrollably about what is happening in gaza. and i cannot, in good faith, support zionists or people who work with them. this falls in line with BTS preaching for us to "love yourself, speak yourself." everything they have stated in UN speeches and in many of their lyrics makes me feel like the only thing i can do as a fan is stand up for injustices when i see them, and hybe working with zionists is a huge injustice. and if you disagree.......idk. i cannot sympathize with or understand you; this post is not for you.

i think it is a huge injustice to what BTS instills in people and makes them believe if we sit back while hybe does whatever the fuck they want without caring about the consequences.

also, i will say that while silence is violence and choosing neutrality is choosing the side of the oppressor, i wonder if the reason none of the guys are speaking out about the conflict has to do with their enlistment (aka something pertaining to matters i do not understand within the korean government) or within the company itself because they work with scooter et al (aka bang telling them to stay quiet.) whatever the reason is, i guess i am choosing the side of wishful thinking right now. i have absolutely no proof for any of these thoughts, but i do see some people angry at BTS for not speaking up, and while i agree that everyone should use their platforms, i am wondering aloud whether there might be a reason for it. this is not me making excuses for anyone, though........i just don't know. i have no idea.

SOME FINAL FINAL THOUGHTS:

at the end of the day, we can only do what we can. if you can only boycott so much, you can only boycott so much. it takes time and effort to radicalize to the point of cutting out so many unnecessary things what we deem as "necessary." but it is possible. your money does make a difference, and wouldn't you want that difference to be good? and if you do have a moment of weakness, it is important to continue to stay the path and do not let guilt make you feel one way or another. we all make mistakes but the important thing is that we try.

ALSO if you want cute merch, support independent artists!!!!!!!!! the BTS army is full of amazing creatives and your money can help them for a little while instead!!!

I tried to see if I had any posts on my old blog about this topic bc I remember talking about it in the past and I sort of do? eh whatever tldr; lina is the one haunted by the past and wash is supposed to be the one giving the emotional speeches but hhhhhrng. will definitely be talking about that more later even though I thought the scene was super sweet (also ct!!!!!!! my girl!!!!)

I don’t like that they were all separated and that grif was going to leave, these mfs were forced together in a shitty box canyon at the start of the series and I feel like it would’ve been better if instead of being forced together they all chose to stay together but it is what it is.

okay ngl it was pretty rushed pacing wise and I’ve got so many bones to pick (mostly about wash bc ofc) but speaking as an ending to the series I think it works. it all started in a box canyon which was later revealed to be an elaborate training simulation, so it’s fitting that it it was revealed very early in the run time that it was all a simulation, and it all ended in the box canyon they started in. I thought the themes of feeling guilty and being able to forgive oneself were very interesting (might get into that more later as well…) so yeah. 

it’s flawed, but for such a long running series that had originally been intended to only be a few episodes, I think it ending with tucker telling us it’s over and to go home is honestly the best way they could’ve done it. all the other times the series had “ended” it was done in a way where it worked as a standalone end for the series, but it was always open-ended enough that a continuation could be made if they wanted to. 

there isn’t going to be a continuation this time, the story is over, but just because the story has ended doesn’t mean that we can’t make our own stories. red vs blue will live on so long as there are people who want it to, which feels pretty on the dime doesn’t it?

Witch lore (long)

so i got no art as of right now but i'll post the idea of the witches i have made up.

just like the cookies the witches have themes. there are chocolatiers and bakers that work together to make chocolate biased cookies. there are those who pick fruit, mash it, and bake it into cookies to make those like hollyberry cookie. cheese makers and savory food biased chefs and bakers for those like golden cheese. etc etc etc.

we see some cross over from them a lot actually, with cookies that have multiple aspects to make themselves the way they are.

the we have regular not specific bakers. they make ones like muscle cookie or princess cookie. wizard cookie and knight cookie. while they might have gotten help from other kitchens or witches such as princess has a high berry percent in her dough, they aren't perfect about what all went in. think of them as young witches who are still learning to flex their magic muscles. they might not be even writing down their recipes right.

then we have the wizards. they are separate from the witches but a long time ago they weren't. they were a large group. but the wizards split off of the group a long long tome ago. tbh this isn't about them.

now, onto linage.

all witches like long lives. long long lives. but many of these are cut short by experiments.

there were multiple lines of witches, the first. the experimentalists (this is when the beast were made and when the wizards split), the elders known for making the ancients (this is when witches started taking up particular skills in one main area), and the newest gen known as the fresh dough as of now. one of the unruly kitchens had a banquet that lead to the creation of dark enchantress.

my main characters are the "head witches" of their kitchens/covens. they all watch over their creations with a keen eye and do not like the new witches because they won't listen to the recipes making more then enough ruined batches that simply can not be sent down to best-yeast or crispia. so they have to scrap a lot. and worse yet they keep losing or braking equipment!!

my witch ocs are

head chocolatier of the chocolate kitchen. she is in good standing with the head witch of the berry kitchen known for her upkeep on the dragon traditions and tropical cookie flavors. on the note of the berry kitchen head, she provides a lot of jam/jelly for sweet cookies that don't fall into her domain. though, some cookies like cheese cookies or savory cookies like caption caviar also don't have sweet jam blood.

then we have the cheese makers. most of them have left leaving only a few to care for the production of cheese cookies. the head is seen as a hermit of a witch. she doesn't come out of her storage areas unless she's making new cheese and keeping up all her old cheese prosses isn't something she can do on her own. it really shows through her cookies, seeing as all she can pump out on a consistent basis is cheese birds. her lack of interaction is

then we have the gardeners. they care for the outside and often times are the ones to train the young newcomers leading to cookies like carrot cookies and herb cookie. this is why beast yeast is so full of flower fae cookies. they also work closely with the berry cookies because despite flowers and plants being their main go to for cookie ingredients they all care for the fruits to. the head, more loud then her domain suggest, has been begging for a line of poison biased cookies only to be turned down bc they already have a lot of toxic cookies.

the gardens have another area for spices and that's it. because their is one hell of a witch who makes only spicy cookies and pumps them out like they're nothing. most don't have any magic life power so she just fucking eats those things. what most don't know is a lot of the newest gen have been joining her and sending all sorts of spice cookies to burning spice against the head witches wishes.

onto the head witches, there are 3. a witch biased in dairy and cream. a witch biased around wheat and flour, and a witch biased in all manor of tools. nothing, and i mean nothing, is made without their permission. they know every batch that's baked, every cake that's decorated, and every tool that's enchanted. but the new gen, they've been wiggling around their three rules. dark enchantress is a blatant disregard for all the rules. and the witch that put her in the oven, she was banished. stealing a cook book and locked in a castle. (witches castle cough cough)

ooo, neither tbh. Unless its a one-shot or a mini fic where I add a S/O or like my unpublished Uber fic where I had to add several OG characters, I don’t like adding new ones bc I think it disrupts the story a lot and I normally don’t read fics when people do that. And personally, unless it’s the ones that are supposed to be halrious and satire, I think self-inserts are kinda cringey bc most people who write them over-sexulize the characters and add weird stuff in that makes me cringe (key word: MOST not ALL) but also I just cant imagine myself dating someone let alone my comfort characters.
