Do you do comms or art trades?

Commissions? Not really, ive learned from experience that i am an absolute MESS when it comes to trying to keep up with those xD i can never seem to find the motivation to work on them.

Sometimes ill spontaneously open up slots or something for comms when i need money asap OR can feel the art juices flowing and im in a good mood, but those times are usually few and far between. Atm theyre closed.

Art trades? HELL YEAH!!! Just depends on if im busy or not that week! Im a little shy when it comes to art trades, i usually procrastinate for weeks about reaching out to an artist i admire but then i overthink and chicken out.

I think ive only ever done... like one, or two? The second one of which the other person hasnt started their side of it and i think its been a year now xD

But i absolutely love ATs, idm how long the other person takes because sometimes i take just as long. I get a child-like joy when someone draws my character for me and i love the challenge of returning that kindness with art for them in turn >:) the other artist doesnt even need to be super skilled or famous, idc if they think their art is less equal than mine because imo its the intention and thought behind it that counts more.

because why bother coming home early, greeting him, surprising him with dinner and a loving kiss?

then watch it all go down. technically, youre not doing anything wrong, youve got your plate full with a screenshot of your planned calendar to pair with it as sweet, sweet evidence.

youre watching him slightly deteriorate. watch him panic. he'll buy you flowers, in which you put in a vase but never take care of like before. he'll buy you jewelry you wont wear because "theyre beautiful but i like the old ones too! ill wear them on a special occassion" that wont ever come.

the frustrated, panicked look on his face is priceless. it feels so good. he cant even be mad because youre not even cheating! you have all the alibis, all the witnesses. youre perfectly happy and sweet as before! just.. not as responsive, not as present. but thats not your fault, thats your job's!

if he pays for you, slowly start paying your half of everything. shows that you are stable and everything would be perfectly fine if he went up in left. in the end, thats why he got angry with you in the first place, right? he's so okay with being angry, not telling you his problems, that he can keep it to himself, right?

My be a bit ooc but I think UU!Loppezz probably thinks, that despite how horrible wemmbu makes her feel and how bad wemmbu treats her. She it technically speaking, the safest when shes with him, because for some god damn reason the purple freak still tries to defend loppezz in fights, even tho time and time again wemmbu acts like he hates her.

Also a bit more of a Wemmbu headcanon tbh but it ties to UU!Loppezz, but the fact that Loppezz doesn't see wemmbu for his mace, is probably why wemmbu defends her so much, but at the same time hates it.

Wemmbu is constantly called "the guy with the mace."

Wyll wanted to kill wemmbu for the reputation. To become the new mace wielder.

Constantly he's been told to just use his mace and that it would so much more simpler if he did. It's ingrained into his head that all he is good for, is the mace.

Only three people truly see wemmbu as something other than the mace.

Rejoice, who saw he had one then brushed it off like it was nothing, which I like to think is partly why his death changed Wemmbu so much.

Flame, who told him to fight him normally in a 1v1, he wanted to fight the true wemmbu, not the one with what was basically an unfair cheese, in a twisted way that made wemmbu feel seen as more than just a mace.

And finally, Loppezz, she sees wemmbu for who he truly is, a blood-thirsty psychotic killer, who needs some dude named Eggchan to hold him back half the time. And I think that partly irritates wemmbu. Shes seeing behind that mask, that power, and seeing a psycho killer whos only goal is to shower in blood and riches. It's partly why he dismisses her so easily and treats her and anything she owns horribly. He HATES that someone is see the real him, but at the same time, he's grateful, he's not just seen as some weapon in the eyes of loppezz, so despite how annoyed he gets at her, he still protects her and doesn't let her die.

For Rejoice he died to quickly for him to process that, and Flame is too skilled for him to do anything really.

I finally had some time to read through this and HOLY MOLY PEAK, i would agree with everything here, and heres some food for thought.

loppezz has no one who she can trust to not kill her other than wemmbu, although he is the single last person she would want to ask but in regards to her motivations he is the only option, because he wont kill her.

there have been times where she has tried to confide in him and be friends in hopes that maybe he'll take her under his wing but their history is destined to be a rivalry probably. Sky Civ is the best example of that. He has given her the cold shoulder many times, and many times when she didnt need him the most, he always took away what new found protection she had.

It always leads back to wemmbu being the source of her problems, and shes not sure how to escape. She knows exactly who he is, which brings her some anxiety at his unpredictability but can also count on it aswell! which is kind of a curse, but its a guranteed result.

A work in progress! Finally getting around to finishing some ALG WIPs before I begin more! This ones based off of TPOT 17, Six explains about these four integers and why One was supposed to be gone. Honestly it would be really cool in canon if Six actually explains to these four about whatever is going on with One.

And now some bonus things under the cut!

ALG Three! Or kind of(?) a little bit of an updated design of them. Feral guy, proceed with caution, who knows why theyre locked up, and why theyve willingly kept himself locked up. Hopefully Needle's crew, Six and Purple Face alongside them they wont find them a problem when they encounter him in the EXIT.

A while back ive had a little bit of a problem whether to give the speakerboxes (minus PSB) a design or not, you can easily tell I chose the former here. Though Announcer is probably subject to change, I dont exactly know yet.

FSB (Firey SB) is looking rather unfinished, but theres a catch! Theres lore behind him that connects to Firey himself! FSB wasnt finished with fully obtaining his orange metal plating, by the time Firey snatched him, he was left like this, though thankfully he was fully functioning, would Firey ever fully put the metal plating on FSB? We dont know, hes not exactly good with robotics, especially with a speakerbox he didnt technically make! Yes, unlike canon Firey creating FSB, ALG Firey DID NOT create ALG FSB, rather theres a lot of stuff behind the reason FSB was even made to begin with!

Now Flower SpeakerBox, I havent thought of what I would do with her yet, probably same in a way as canon, but ill think of something later.

Announcer is still well, Announcer, also adding to the fact Remote is his child, Ive seen a bunch of people have this headcanon and I greatly enjoy it, so I might as well make it a thing for this au! This also means Remote wouldnt even appear as a possible debuter for neither BFDI or BFDIA, but she will eventually be a contestant for during the events of BFB, she encounters everyone else around the events of IDFB, and yes, Announcer is the one who installed that railgun to her arm, as "extra measures" he so claims it to be, guess he blew most of the budget onto that due to how high tech it looks. He's still more less the same as canon.

Another thing I might add is the possibility of Speaker Boxes and Algebraliens aware of each others existences for such a very long time, and dont like each other all too much, a possible rivalry perhaps? The Speaker Boxes came to Earth first and were pretty much known compared to any Algebraliens, One was there for a very long time too, however she was hidden in the sidelines for nobody to ever see her, whereas the Speaker Boxes were more out in the open and were willing to communicate with any object they encounter.

This has been in my head for like weeks and it's what makes me struggle to actually finish arcane LMFAO. For context ive been mostly interacting with arcane stuff on tiktok and ive seen some stuff and opinions that doesn't sit well with me.

also on another note i havent fully finished arcane, i stopped at s2 ep6 so ep7 to 9 i have no prior knowledge apart from spoilers i got bc of arcane edits.

okay so with that out of the way, like i said ive seen a lot of tiktoks lately and i want to kind of speak my mind (technically rant) about some of the discourse regarding characters and whatnot. This is going to be long.

also, spoilers.

so first up is caitlyn. How do i start?

Caitlyn:

I do love caitlyn... in season 1.

in s2 not so much but hear me out. a lot of people have been debating on her actions and how half the fandom hate her, half love her (some a little,,, off putting but ill get into that later) and here's my unneeded take. I don't think its valid. like her actions in s2 are so morally wrong it blows my mind.

first of all, Im not going to say that its ooc of her because that doesnt make sense to say. this cant be ooc (in my perspective) because we have never seen caitlyn angry to the point of doing this. this is our (or my) first time seeing her go through grief this bad that it has her making decisions we dont particularly agree with or is objectively right to do. we cant say that this is "out of character" because we had'nt had prior idea or knowledge to how she'd cope with her mother's passing.

second off, like i said i dont think its valid. yes, i understand her actions are a result of her mothers untimely passing but we can't keep saying that it was right of her to do what she did.

we can empathize and we can understand that what she's doing is because she's had enough of jinx putting the people of piltover in danger because obviously she cares about these people, and it put her over the edge the day that her mother died because of jinx. but it doesnt mean that her actions were right objectively (i say objectively because we all have different moral compasses).

lets get into what she did

her actions consist of:

-gassing the undercity (even after watching an entire documentary/history lesson about how her mother built the ventilation systems to keep the grey out of the undercity)

i dont want to hear people saying that it never showed people dying, it was only used on the gangs, the goons, and jinx. people, we dont need to see people dying to know that the grey has been a problem zaunites have had to deal with for years until cassandra (cait's mom) built those vents.

yes, you can say that they didnt show people dying, doesn't mean that using it wont have consequences if anyone that was innocent does get affected. gas spreads, it moves, it can and it will affect anyone in the vicinity or anyone that comes across it. how do you know that it didnt affect anyone?

even in a moral lens, isnt it just wrong to use the grey ( which in the real world might be equal to something like tear gas. theory tho, going off of tear gas effects) to "clear out" the streets of the undercity where homeless people litter the streets, where children, old people, and people with disabilities roam freely?

-the scene where she insisted she wont miss her shot at jinx

for this one, i think she said this because she was obviously frustrated. she believed in her abilities and she had jinx right in front of her and obviously she wasn't thinking straight.

but people, i cant defend her when i saw her miss her shot just a minute prior. she can think that about herself, that she can shoot past isha and hit jinx in the head, i cant. like i said she missed, it is absolutely not a guarantee to her that they wont move once she pulls the trigger, which is exactly why she hit jinx in the finger instead, and almost killed vi before too.

like its more understandable for me that that statement would come from her, than if it came from someone that was watching the show.

with that, i think i covered mainly my thing with caitlyn. i do empathize, and i do think that for someone thats grieving and angry, her actions can be understandable in that perspective. i do not however, think her actions are justified, especially bc its borderline fascist (if not already). she's a dictator in simpler terms and its just so wrong no matter how i look at it.

i mentioned earlier as well that there were caitlyn supporters that were off putting, but honestly even caitlyn haters can be the same so really its not just a one sided thing going on. the least we can do with this topic, especially because its not black and white, is be civil and just talk about it properly we dont need aggression.

Jayce:

I love jayce, i truly do. well, for the most part.

this rant simply started bc i saw people saying he's privileged, he's egotistical etc, etc.

here is my take.

some people (might just be one actually) see jayce as a minority, or an immigrant and believe that that erases his privilage. but let's talk about it.

no matter if jayce is a minority, or an immigrant, it does not erase that he is from a known house (even if its small) and lives in piltover. he is in the academy, a known scientist and inventor, and he's part of the council. where is the privilege? right there.

he has privilege, why are we erasing that? he has the privilege to live in piltover, to study and learn, to meet with the highest of the highs that control and lead their entire nation, to be known as a great inventor and scientist who, through hextech, has improved the lives of many, who bears a name that is recognizable as a house, and even if he is not equal in wealth with salo or mel, is still equal in status because he now stands amongst them in the same rank and has mel beside him to get the other counselors on board with his plans or ideas.

he has privilege, we cant erase that just because he's an immigrant, because objectively he's living a life better than anyone in the undercity does. hell, viktor has privilege because he's living in piltover now, he no longer lives in the undercity where people struggle, get hunted down, and killed.

thats mostly what i wanted to talk about, i cant say if he is egotistical because i cant remember him being one? arrogant in a way, maybe. but egotistical im not so sure.

with that note.. thats all the word vomiting i can do. but mainly my main gripe is how s2 loses what i loved with the s1 storyline and its the oppression that piltover has on the undercity. it could have been even better if they had handled it properly but i guess it just gets erased like that..

anyways, like i said im up for discussion. you're free to dicuss, to correct, to agree because i can admit i might be forgetting about certain scenes or diaogue or whatnot and its good to be educated and to learn from other people as well.

so, idk, dont take this too personally. at the end of the day it is a show, with important storylines, but still just a show nevertheless. we dont need to be so personal and so aggressive with debates, we can have it like adults, and we can have opinions and thats okay.

Hi, so I wanted to know what could I improve based on this drawing, you're free to do a paintover. Thanks! ^^

so first off i really like the colours I see a lot of artists use grey for shading because they don't understand how light and shadow work but you're using saturated colours which is great!!

although I like the colours for the shading, my biggest critique would have to be the shading itself, and especially its placement and how it's blended so much. there's also not much depth with the shading since one colour is used to shade whole parts, when in reality you need to use a big range of colours from only very slightly darker than the base colour all the way to even a colour close to black.

the kitten also looks a bit off with its anatomy, but I wont critique the kitten that much because... i cant draw animals either 😭.

the way her hands are positioned around the kitten look very separated from the kitten, it almost looks like she's praying and the kitten was just copy pasted on. her hands should be tilted towards the camera more to show that the cat is actually being held in her hands.

there's also some slight anatomy issues with rei like a lumpy head and uneven breasts. also the right arm is longer and bigger than the left, and her waist seems to end very low. make sure to draw the underlying anatomy, even if it's being covered up by something! below is me tracing what her chest would look like if I followed the lines that are drawn

you have a very cool art style and I like you draw eyes, but I would make the eyes slightly less wide and the irises a bit bigger so that it looks more like rei, but in the end that is kinda optional since character art doesn't have to look exactly like the character.

also this is optional but some more line variance, especially thicker lines where shadows are makes lineart look a lot more interesting and pop more

a lot of the problems can be simply solved by flipping your canvas regularly while drawing, since people arent usually good at being able to draw symmetrically or even tell when something is asymmetrical

rei's face is also kinda short and her hair is very round, especially at the top. rei's mouth is also really close to her nose, so I just moved her nose down a bit.

below is the paintover, but just the anatomy and design part, not the shading (I didn't do the hands because there's a lot of stuff in that general area and I would have to redraw everything and also I'm lazy)

i tried my best to retain your style while still making corrections. i hope this is ok!

ok now onto the hardest part: shading

the biggest mistake you can make is just adding shadows to the edge of everything, it suggests roundness and so if you're shading something like a face, which is actually relatively flat and definitely not a sphere, you don't need those shadows on the edge of the chin. well, technically a face and chin are slightly rounded, but if you look at a side view of a person, the face is still pretty flat (excluding the nose)

also that shadow right next to the arm that's being cast onto the chest doesn't make a lot of sense since the light seems to be coming from above, yet this shadow makes it seem like the light is coming from the left. make sure you have a consistent light source when drawing, you can mark the location of the light physically if that helps. if the light is being cast from above, then naturally shadows must go downwards

going back to that image of the sphere and cube, you can see that the sphere has blended shadows and the cube has sharp shadows, this is very important to apply into art, because it helps differentiate different surfaces. because every shadow in your drawing is blended, everything looks soft and round, but the human form definitely has some sharper areas. also, there's a thing called a cast shadow, which is a shadow that's caused by some object blocking light. it also has sharp edges and there's many cast shadows on a person (the nose casts a sharp shadow onto the face, and the head casts a sharp shadow onto the neck for example)

idk if you wanted a lesson or not lol but yk there's a saying about teaching a man to fish vs just giving the man a fish

also the shiny parts on her outfit are shaded incorrectly, explaining how to shade reflective surfaces is really difficult and I don't even fully get it myself, but if it's just clothes, all you have to do is shade clothes as you normally do and then make the contrast much higher (highlights brighter and shadows darker) and add some reflections ofc

FINALLY DONE this took all day i'm not even kidding but I really like it

It’s not the scene itself so much as the reason he knows he’s stuck. Why his father had called him down from the perch in his room– a place he would lock himself up for hours on end until he was fetched for dinner (the happiest prisoner the Manor had known to date). 

‘Why don’t you want to free yourself?’ Draco had never asked. Scorpius, knew, though, that it was the same as saying ‘The weather is nice’ or ‘What did you want to eat tonight?’ 

‘Why don’t you want to leave?’

‘I do,’ Scorpius used to dream of saying. It was true, he did. But it was selfish of him to say when his dad had no one else. When his mother had sacrificed so much for them. Draco and Scorpius. It was destined to be just the two of them.

And what was the point in voicing it anyway? It would never be a reality for Scorpius. Leaving the nest and going to Beauxbatons had proved that. He was an ugly, misshapen butterfly wanting to curl back into his broken cocoon because at least it would be a torture he was familiar with. 

But it was easy to entrench himself in his problems more than it was to look too closely at what his dad had to sacrifice. It was less painful.

More than sometimes, these pattern of events would unfold: a younger Scorpius would have a burning question hot on his tongue, an older Scorpius would piece together a sentence like picking up shards of glass, and Draco would stand there, looking somewhere behind him, or through him, for a few moments. fun scene where he sits in a cantina somewhere, clutching a drink as his own voice and Ivan's play over the radio as they sing Cure. His heart beating faster and faster in his ears till it hits the part where Ivan died and he just hunches in on himself, like if he curls tight enough he can shield the voices from reaching his ears.

I had many when i was small, specially in school, bullying would do that, anyways, i had them mostly controlled by a point, i could more or less snap out of it, but one day, i was in another school, another class, and these two girls started making fun of me for "not doing the work", i technically did, but thats not the point, the point is that while tehir moking only lasted for a couple seconds, barely a minute, I found myself disassociating really hard, so hard that i missed all of Physics class, it was really scary, losing myself like that for a moment

My point is, disassociations vary, and a few good aimed words can make you disassociate for hours, with no way to get back to reality

finally unpacking my fear of shifting ; winning a 5 year battle.

last night i minishifted via void state for the first time in a while, and it wasnt technically planned (i was meditating but didnt intend to fall into the void state, let alone to minishift). i was in a large field, with really big flowers, it was very peaceful...sweet but short.

but after that minishift, ive been in my thoughts a lot...what does shifting mean to me ? why do i feel as if i cannot shift fully, even though i have fully shifted multiple times before ? and as i continued to think about it, i got more and more confused by why i struggled when i can shift so easily without intending to do so and this is now my 5th year into shifting...so im not exactly new to this.

i wasnt exactly expecting an answer yet i did get one after thinking about it a lot deeper. my fear of shifting isnt about failure or about changes (which i always assumed was the problem, since i'm a perfectionist who struggles with changes)...it was a fear of me becoming what i hated most ; egotistical.

when i first got into shifting, and i went into communities with other shifters - a lot of experienced shifters would be obsessed with having a mentor-like persona. theyd be bossy, rude, judge other people's drs, some would honestly think they were just above others. it was so much...ego-flexing, almost taunting people...seeing all of that not only put me off shifting at first, but made me scared of shifting. what if i end up like that, what if i push others away from shifting ?

i'd see people making courses where youd have to pay $100+ for "advice", i'd see people tell others they arent the "destined ones to shift", i'd see people tell others that they weren't ready to shift...so much negativity...such a bad first impression that it unknowingly stuck with me. i know that not all experienced shifters are like that ofc (especially considering that i am...an experienced shifter), but seeing that and having that be my first impression made me wonder is that really what shifting does to people? everytime people would bring up the attitude shown by these people, it was always "well they shifted", "well i'm still gonna listen to them because they shifted" & no acknowledgement for the issue at hand...the attitude, it was almost as if this was just normal and i shouldve just sucked it up because "if you've shifted, you're automatically above others". because of that, i honestly thought being self-trusting enough to let go and shift fully and enjoy wherever i want to go would make me become someone like that...someone who looks down on others and scams people.

but the deeper i thought, the more i realised...it isnt because theyve shifted, or even because theyre into shifting : a lot of people simply want power. power over others, power to help them feel better about themselves; power over everything. shifting simply lures a lot of these people because they misunderstand the point of shifting, you're not the chosen one if you shift quicker than others or if you understand shifting at a deeper level than most — you're just...someone who knows a lot about shifting. we're all destined to shift, but we are also all able to control what we do once we shift and how we act once we shift.

this fear to become something that made me feel small, uncomfortable and unwelcome and this fear to push that onto others & hurt them may be a valid fear but it wont become a reality because i am in control of how i act. others may make it seem like shifting is what controls them but its not shifting, its their own decision to treat others like such.

it may seem like a weird niche fear, or something thats quite...small but its been so heavily internalised that i didnt notice it until now. i honestly feel like a large weight has been thrown off my shoulders, i can actually breathe. even if i shift instantly and have all of these crazy stories and experiences, i'm still the same person that i was when i first got into shifting...i won't change to become what i fear & i wont let that fear engulf me.

slowly the public influence grows boring. you could probably topple a life over if you tried, and you do, its really very easy. maybe you could control one. Thank you so much for responding! I’m not trying to drag him, I just wanted a breakdown. Your analysis was interesting because I understand what you’re talking about, bass and clarity issues. His voice is deep but the bass like you said is missing. Usually when a singer has a deeper tone or a singer sings in their lower register you can hear how heavy and powerful it is. I think Tae lacks that in his singing. I don’t know I could be wrong but to ME there’s a tone issue, like maybe tone deafness. I don’t think he’s a bad singer, I just think his singing lacks color and flavor. Also, in terms of clarity his enunciation isn’t the best. The muddling of his words is a bit harsh on the ears. And I’m not talking about his English only, I think his Korean gets the same treatment. At least you discussed his singing in technical terms unlike his akgaes that talk about Jimin’s voice in such a nasty matter! Once again thank you! I wanted to talk about his singing but it’s hard in certain spaces.

i don't necessarily think he has a tone deafness issue because he can hold a pitch but he certainly doesn't experiment with his voice in the same way jimin and even jungkook do, which can make him sound boring. since basically debut, jimin has been changing notes, adding vocal effects like creaking and cries, and overall just playing around with his voice in performances. jimin's never really been afraid of "sounding bad" because he has a mindset that he can always do better so it doesn't matter if he fails at something

it's very rare that taehyung does this. he wont even use vibrato in most scenarios (which we actually know he can do quite well from that one black swan behind video). if he were to loose the smoothing quality in his voice for a more "belty" sound with his vibrato, his voice could end up sounding more colorful. and yeah, he does tend to sound muddled with his enunciation. it seems to be a stylistic choice, but i honestly don't know why anyone would want to sing like that, especially someone who's considered to be a global artist with people using his songs for a learning reference in language studies

i think discussing vocal technique in both praise and criticism could be healthy for army because army have a big problem where they adopt widespread narratives and they because the "truth" even if they're blatantly false. that's a part of the reason 90% of army will say jhope is the best dancer in bts and fail to take into account the difference between hobi's background as someone who took dance classes vs jimin's background as someone who went to school for dance. we should be allowed to express our critiques and praises for them without these set narratives being shoved down our throats. nothing wrong with sharing an opinion. besides, i prefer to look at things factually and (generally) without bias

Disney obviously took many liberties with the Hercules film, especially with Hades, so I’m kinda putting a twist on the abduction story —

Disney’s Hades is clever and a bit of a snake oil peddler so when it comes to the whole “throwing her over his shoulder and disappearing into the night” narrative, I just don’t see him doing that?

He’s never that direct. He’s got a back-door solution to all his problems.

Here’s how I think he’d do it —

I have the story mapped out like this: Persephone makes her annual appearance on spring and Hades is topside for some reason (possibly plotting the downfall of his brothers, semantics I’m still developing!) when he notices her for the first time.

Based on the show’s logic, I’m gonna assume he doesn’t volunteer to spend a lot of time on the surface during spring, considering how much he despises it.

Anyway, Hermes is making his rounds and notices Hades getting ready to make a move so he intervenes initially. But then, lightbulb! He figures it’s probably best that Hades find himself a wife so he’s too distracted to cause chaos for the rest of the pantheon. From here, he and several other gods start to engineer circumstances to bring Hades and Persephone together.

I’m going for a very Star-crossed lovers vibe on this one, kind of Romeo and Juliet, since historically speaking Demeter and Hades aren’t on good terms. Demeter has already arranged for her daughter to marry another Olympian (in this case, Ares. I’m using him because he’s pig-headed and bullish enough in character to rival Hades as a villain!), this is naturally a bone of contention between the two of them because Persephone can’t stand the guys.

I like the idea of Hades and Persephone meeting up secretly, going on “pseudo-dates” to get away from their Godly duties and the pressures of being them. They begin to discover they have a lot more in common than they expected. Eventually they fall in love and Persephone has to make a decision — break off the engagement with Ares or follow through on the marriage and be miserable.

Of course this is also an issue for Hades so as the conflict comes to a head, he offers Demeter an ultimatum, either she allows her daughter to stay with him or he unleashes the Underworld’s entire soul content on the surface to wreak havoc on the mortal and godly realms respectively (he’s bluffing).

Zeus and Hera both know this but want to see him happy and out of their hair. They decide to play along.

Zeus uses his divine influence to make a deal with his brother in Demeter’s stead, so Hades draws up a contract (as he is wont to do) and the pair of them agree that Persephone is to spend six months in the underworld and six months on the surface working with her mother. Fair enough, right?

Since the whole scheme wasn’t strictly consensual, Persephone is hurt and angry that Hades would be so cavalier with signing away her freedom. Hades tries to explain to her that he was only trying to protect her from marrying someone she didn’t love and by extension not lose her to Ares for eternity in the process.

Although it was “technically” against her will, it definitely wasn’t forced, because I truly believe Disney’s Hades would want her to be happy with him in the Underworld like any other version would. 😂

There’s a lot of build up in my mind before they get to that point, by the time any of this takes place they’re already in a well established relationship, but that’s the gist of it.

She eventually forgives him and they live happily ever after! ❤️

Hi, American here. Things are really bad here. And I don’t say that for pity— because in a way, America has done this to itself. (White people want to uphold white supremacy, which makes life miserable for Black and Indigenous people. What white people fail to realize, is that it will come for them too. No one is truly safe— unless you’re fucking loaded with money.)

I say things are bad here to try and remove the veil. The propaganda. America promotes the whole “American dream” thing to cover up the fact this country is a steaming pile of shit— both to the people around the world and most importantly, the people who live here. More and more Americans are waking up to the fact we live in one of the bad places. Most, however, are still blind to the fact.

The link I posted with this ask talked about prison system and how it’s legalized slavery. You can trace our modern day prison system straight back to the days of slavery on plantations. Alongside our police forces. The police got their roots from chasing escaped slaves. They still hold a racial bias against Black folks today. In 2024, US police killed more civilians than ever. Most of them Black, or other people of color.

As you’re a supporter of Luigi, I’m sure you’ve heard some horror stories of our healthcare. I know so many people who’ve been affected. One of my parents works in a doctors office, owned by a local hospital. Should be great healthcare for their employees since it’s a hospital, right? Nope. She had a coworker with chest pain, who went to the clinic at the office, and was clearly having a heart attack. That coworker begged them not to take her to the ER that was associated with the clinic. All because her health insurance— which came from the hospital she would’ve been treated at— would not cover enough of the cost. She died begging them not to transport her due to the cost, right in the clinic’s office. She is one of thousands who have died in relation to the cost of health insurance. Even people with “great” coverage STILL worry about one ER visit breaking the bank. On top of that, health insurance is directly tied to your employment. No job typically means no health insurance. Some providers won’t even see you if you’re not insured.

Our education system is being dismantled on the state level. In my home state (for context, I live in the south, which is historically known for being conservative) our state government has tried to allow funds for public schools to be used for vouchers for private schools. This would absolutely crash our public school system, and would eventually lead to the only people attending schools to be those who can afford it— the rich.

Higher education isn’t much better. A bachelor’s degree can cost you $100,000 depending on where you go. College is widely inaccessible for those who aren’t rich, or willing to put themselves in life long debt.

This is just a tiny fraction of the issues in this country. I could go on and on for hours detailing all the problems we face as Americans. The US government runs a tight ship when it comes to propaganda and making every one think it’s all dandy— so please don’t feel bad for not knowing! Americans telling their stories is one of the reasons US government wants to ban TikTok. (If they do ban it, we are on our way to a fully US gov. controlled internet, which is not good, but we’ll see.) Social media has the ability for us to break the walls down about ���US is so great! My country has technically "public healthcare" but you still have to pay the doctors otherwise they wont even look at you. And they usually work in both private and public clinics so they'll force you to go pay at their private clinic if you want to receive a treatment. Meanwhile the public clinics don't have enough medication or even if they do the doctors won't give the medication unless you pay. There was a whole scandal last year about the horrors cancer patients have faced and still face in our public clinics. So I can sympathize despite not having the same exact insurance problem. My country loves america and many people who win the lottery to move to usa are envied here, because we have low wages and low welfare. And now I see americans saying they actually want to move out of the country. Its weird for me to hear the contrast between what some of my relatives say about living in America and other people's experiences (like yours). This was a random rambling sorry. Let's be honest, being an actor/actress staring in a romcom while having a spouse is probably a weird grey area. Not that I would know personally but it seems that way. Hollywood as a concept just seems messy and morally ambiguous at times. Let's also be honest, even though they looked like that had a lot of shit figured out in the first part, their wedding proved they literally didn't.
