Gonna share the hummus recipe my mom gave me that I improved a bit because it's So Good:
1 full can of chickpeas including the water (200 grams)
2 tablespoons of raw tehini
½ teaspoon of cumin
½ teaspoon of salt
1-2 garlic cloves
One tablespoon of water
Blend together until smooth and it's literally the best hummus ever. Add olive oil and paprika on top. One pita will not be enough to finish everything just FYI.

Exercise- 10 min running+ 5 min climbing stairs+ 2 min lifting weights+ 10 minutes Yoga= 30 minutes.
Breakfast-Small tuna can with tomatoes = 300 kcal
Snack-Almonds (80 kcal) 3 Dates (120 kcal)= 200 kcal
Lunch- 4 rice cakes (112 kcal) with baked vegetables (140 kcal) and tehini (90 kcal)=350 kcal
snack at the office (200 kcal)
Dinner-sushi (300 kcal) Salad (250 kcal) jam (100 kcal)= 650 kcal
total- 1,800 kcal

talk about culture shock.... I’ve never had an American brand tahini before, but I just want to say, so like i’ve been tracking what i eat while i lose weight in order to track my macros, and one of my favorite low effort meals is tahini and fish sticks. Anyway, I’ve been tracking it based on estimate and my health app doesn’t have the brand I eat ‘cuz it isn’t a Western brand. Fine, sure, happens a lot. So I chose a brand called Peloponnese (which, supposedly is a Mediterranean brand but my point remains). I was shocked how many calories my health app said I was eating in tehini. That just sounded insane to me. I finally got around to looking at the brand I bought this time (I usually get whatever store brand I’m at) and Peloponnese has on their nutrition: for 15g (one serving), 110 calories. For this brand I’m eating, for 100g 274 calories. Now. I’m no mathematician, and sure what I eat is technically a tehini salad (35% sesame, + garlic, lemon, salt, etc) and Peleponnese’s is straight tehini (which is very dense) but something sounds just really wrong there.

I’m down to 308.6. 299 is right there. I can feel it. Still abstinent. Tomorrow is day 10!
Here’s what was my food for the day
Breakfast- fruit smoothie consisting of 5oz frozen strawberries and 3oz frozen pineapple with 6oz water. 4oz cottage cheese
Lunch- 4oz smoked white fish (sugar free), 8oz cooked spinach (ing: spinach, salt, pepper, 4oz shredded zucchini), 8oz fresh veg salad with 1 Tbs tehini
Dinner- 4oz baked chicken breast (ing: 1 Tbs mayo, 1 Tbs mustard, 4oz crushed crispy onions), 12oz cooked zucchini in tomato sauce (sugar free), 1.5 cups fresh veg salad with 1.5 Tbs tehini
I was abstinent today because I deserve it. Abstinence is a gift I give myself. ❤️

How to be a good mother even though you have a really demanding career?
1- Get a husband who shares the load- This advice is for young unmarried woman and its the most important one I can give. He doesn't have to be rich, or handsome. He must be a good father.
I know this might be too late to some of you, but even if you are divorced, you can make it happen.
2- Get family help and /or paid help
3- Set a real time table and schedule. Ask yourself- If I had a regular job- when will I be back home? Is it 17:00? and than work toward reaching that time at least 3 times a week, share it with your husband.
4- Try not to work in the weekend, and if you do, one parent must stay with the kids.
5- If you don't have a spouse, work towards a hybrid job, and work your ass off.
6- You can have a huge impact on your child's life from a far. Join the Parents' Committee, get to know his teachers, get to know other moms and schedule play dates, pay for private lessons.
