I'm not dead!

First and foremost, let me just apologize for being inactive here. The game is still being worked on; don't worry. I got caught up in work and holidays, and I hadn't had the time to update you all.

I had made a huge list of changes to the demo, mainly because I wasn't satisfied or happy with it, or I either couldn't fix an issue. So what are those changes?

I switched from the Twine editor to Tweego itself.

This took a lot of time to set up, as I had to fix and figure out how Tweego worked, especially in a new environment (aka VSCode).

I changed templates.

Doing so also took time to familiarize myself with such a template and change things to fit my preferences. I had to move away from my original template because I had encountered an issue with it that I didn't know how to fix no matter how hard I tried.

Scenes.

Due to me rewriting the prologue, there's now new scenes, some old but rewrittten/reordered.

WHAT ABOUT THE STORY?

I scrapped my old prologue outline and started fresh after realizing it would cause too many plot-holes I need to fix. I am almost done finishing my outline, and have gotten to write the prologue itself a bit.

ALSO the prologue is much longer than the previous version, so that's something.

I have a few scenes I need to look into so I might open a beta testing form soon and look for beta testers.

I made a website!

Now you've probably seen the attempt before, people getting mad at tumblr and then making a 'Simblr' (Tumblr clone). Though, despite tumblr being sometimes a bit frustrating because of their changes, that's not why this site came to be...

I wanted a place where Storytellers, Creators, and just generic sim players can all be together and get the exposure and fun that they deserve.

Not only that, but also for a place where the TSM community and TS1 can belong somewhere too without the use of a forum.

And eventually, I hope we can make it the home for Life by you and Paralives when that comes out :)

Plus, it's also NSFW friendly! While the site is initially PG-13, we've got tags and profile settings that allow you to browse NSFW items as well.

I've specifically made filters for different games, and their needs in mind. For example, for TS2 there are so many awesome game fixes out there and clean templates, that you'll be able to navigate and find this easily.

Not only that, items can also be put in multiple categories! Especially great if you've uploaded a set!

NOTE:

Mods do go through a "queue", but not in the same way as you may have experienced on MTS or TSR. I merely check if it's flagged as NSFW correctly, and then it's good to go! :) So the waiting time will be much less!

What about moderation?

While there's a report system in place, and the items in the queue are checked for NSFW, but users could still turn their non-NSFW to a NSFW, items may be stolen. So do report these as that will never be condoned!

Additionally, all comments you get on your mods, story, etc. Those are primarily moderated by you. You can delete them, you can turn comments off even if you'd like. If things really go wrong, you can always ask an admin.

Pourquoi en bêta ?

Et bien parce que c'est un sacré morceau et qu'il a besoin encore de faire ses preuves dans différents forum et dans les mains de plusieurs personnes pour qu'on soit sûr de sa solidité.

Qui peut tester la bêta ?

Tout le monde ! Mais, il est vivement conseillé de l'essayer sur des forums tests ou sur des catégories de test sur vos forums. Vous pouvez par exemple essayer d'adapter vos fiches actuelles avec le plugin et demander à vos membres de reproduire leur fiche. Si le plugin rencontre un succès, vous pourrez alors faire la transition.

N'hésitez pas à me faire vos retours et me transmettre ceux de vos membres !

Est-il difficile à installer ?

L'installation de base est très simple. Elle se déroule en trois étapes mais elle demande d'installer du code un peu partout (template, CSS, javascript). Si vous n'avez jamais ouvert un panneau d'administration d'un forum, ce n'est peut-être pas le meilleur code avec lequel commencer.

C'est l'édition du plugin (pour créer vos propres mise en page etc) qui peut s'avérer plus poussé. En réalité, c'est beaucoup de manipulation HTML avec notions qui seront peut-être nouvelles pour beaucoup.

Ne vous laissez pas impressionner par la taille du tutoriel !

La première partie suffit à réussir à installer le plugin et le faire fonctionner. La suite est à but explicatif et elle parcours toutes les possibilités qui s'offrent à vous avec ce plugin (promis ça vaut le coup).

TAGGING SYSTEM

I created this section in Google Docs for every single one of my muses. Below is a link to the symbols I used.

ARC VS VERSE : every single character gets both an arc and a verse that is undecided. Since you can search by both ARC and VERSE, I felt this would make the most sense. A verse is the overreaching section, so for example, SUPERNATURAL is a show, so it gets its own verse. Now for an ARC, I would be putting different sections in for, say, I want Hope to have a soulless arc, then that would be where that would go. Or say I want Hope to have an arc that she has her humanity off, it would fall under the arc section. It's not a big enough theme for me to make it a whole verse.

I can use the tag of no humanity in an arc repeatedly. Combined with, say, searching my Queen of Nola verse and the arc of no humanity, it should give you all of the information written about her no humanity time in said verse. Above picture shows you how I format my verse posts.

CHARACTER ID: This is an overreaching tag that covers pretty much anything written by me for that character, so answered asks, interactions, headcanons, drabbles, etc. all fall in line with this. You could also add it to your visage and musing tags, but I personally don't find that helpful.

This is an example of my tags underneath a reply of mine. More will be explained soon about what everything else means.

This is what I used to tag all the different types of calls I make. So someone can click on, say my meme call, and get to like a call for them to be sent memes.

Any reblogged content went here minus the ask memes, but you could very well put ask memes there as well.

This section is anything related to my set up. Now, I have two different blogs (more to come on why I do that later). This kind of shows you how I break things up.

The extra section is really anything that I couldn't figure out where it might go. So promos, scheduled posts, dash games, etc.

This one feels very self-explanatory. Anything that I personally want saved goes here

This section is anything created by me or something I agree with strongly. Graphics are different than my adventures in ps. The first for me is like character edits, while the second one is maybe asking for opinions or showing people what I am excited for.

I'm not a huge talker in the tags person. However, I do find a few things helpful to point out like when something might be triggering, if one should look at a link I put in my replies, making sure that people know to send the whole prompt not just the symbol (in case it takes me a moment to get it done and I need to know what the instructions for the meme was to prevent deleting a meme because all I see is a symbol or word and therefore have no idea which meme it is attached to. Sending the whole sentence is helpful and doesn't require a two-step process like asking for the meme and the link simultaneously. It is also beneficial to tell people to tell me what muse things are for as well, so that way I am not playing a guessing game.

The potentially triggering topic for me is an overall tag for triggers. I do also break it down into say " clowns tw " as well just for blacklisting purposes. However, the blanket tag covers so that say I forget someone is triggered by something and I forgot to tag it, there is a possibility that this might save it a little bit.

This section of tagging is where I get an overview of things. So, say you aren't looking for any muse's writing in particular that you want to see, but you want to see if we are a good fit to write together. Then you might want to see all my writing, which has answered asks, headcanons, drabbles, and interactions in it. Or maybe you only want to see thread interactions, so you'd go to all replies.

Since there might be a lot of tags (depending on if you are a multiuse or not), I recommend using a Google Docs or a draft post to hold all of your tags for easy keeping.

FORMATTING

The two dividers are from two different sources. The thin one was made by theresourcedhunted, and the thick one was made by dividing by underesources. However, I edited it to remove many of the fancy pieces as I wanted something a tad simpler.

To make my gifs centered without editing them, I use THIS blank space / image.

❝ ❞ is what I use for my dialogue around spoken words. ● A tutorial on making adding coloring to your replies faster without going into the HTML, but a single time. You could always use the few colors tumblr has built in for simplicity.

There are about 4 to 5 spaces between my dialogue and the rest of my text. I'm still trying to figure out what I like personally in that department.

To simplify things, if you use a Windows computer to hotkey and streamline some things, I use aText, a Microsoft Store application. All I have to do is enter a specific combo of letters and words to get a unique key or spacing that I set up myself.

【 ✉️ 𝐂𝐇𝐀𝐑𝐀𝐂𝐓𝐄𝐑 𝐍𝐀𝐌𝐄 】 : this is for any sent messages by my muse. Again, the fancy font is the same one I used in my pinned post. You could use fancy emojis and things. I colored the text of the name and bold it. The actual text is in a small-sized font along with regular normal Tumblr font.

【 📩 𝐂𝐇𝐀𝐑𝐀𝐂𝐓𝐄𝐑 𝐍𝐀𝐌𝐄 】 : this is what I tend to use for messages that my message receives. So, if I am writing a reply that my muse is talking to their friend, but my muse's mother texts them, and I want to show it, that is how I do it.

I personally like to link in headcanons in my replies and things for others to read if needed, share links to songs that might be heard in a reply, or pinterest links to images of maybe the muse's style that is relevant to a reply. I mentioned this in my rules so others know that there will never me links to malware or anything else and is always in good faith.

My formatting doesn't really change for headcanons. I use bolded fonts for the header of each headcanon. Then, bullet points might make it easier for others to find information and read.

every post that I make that isn't a starter tends to follow the same spacing that I mentioned being between my dialogue and using the same bolded font that I always use and was linked above.

Alright, here is a tip. If you have several tags and want to narrow down, say, a certain verse that has headcanons about it, as long as you know what the tag names are, you could enter both tags separated by a + in the middle to get all the posts between two tags (and possibly more, but I have not checked that out). So, if you are really organized tag-wise, then you can easily filter things out.

FAQ Installation, problèmes❓

Hello ! 😄 Après de longs mois à galérer pour trouver du temps, voici enfin un post qui recense les principaux bugs ou problèmes d'installation que la plupart d'entre vous ont pu rencontrer suite au partage du thème. Vous êtes très nombreux·ses à venir dans mes messages privés et parfois pour des soucis similaires (je suis d'ailleurs désolée si je ne vous réponds pas/plus... je vois tout mais je suis très vite submergée et très vite ré-alpaguée par mon irl donc je fais l'autruche... 🫠 ). Rappel des bonnes pratiques : - S'assurer d'avoir configuré son forum comme le Blank Theme l'indique. - Faire attention à bien avoir coché les bonnes cases dans la gestion des javascripts, en n'oubliant pas d'activer la gestion de ces derniers. - S'assurer qu'il n'y a pas de // ** "" “” en trop dans vos urls/html/css.

➡️ Image_List La plupart d'entrevous n'ont pas trouvé le template image_list. Pour le faire apparaître, il suffit d'aller désactiver les blogs dans votre panneau d'administration : MODULES > BLOGS > CONFIGURATION > ACTIVER LES BLOGS [X] NON

➡️ Mon CSS ne s'actualise pas Il y a un soucis que j'ai rencontré quelques fois, si on héberge son css sur archivehost et qu'on sauvegarde par-dessus, il arrive parfois que ça ne s'update pas correctement (et donc, par extension, que le forum affiche encore la feuille précédente même si elle a changé sur archivehost). Ce que je fais pour contrer ça, même si c'est super relou à la longue, c'est que j'édite le nom de ma feuille de css (genre, je rajoute version _01 / _02 / 03 etc. pour chaque mise à jour), je ré-héberge, et je re-remplace l'url vers la feuille dans l'overall_header 🥲 Je n'ai pas trouvé d'autre solution (je n'ai pas cherché non plus oups- mais peut-être que dropbox est moins pénible pour ça, à tester!).

➡️ Les Champs de mes profils semblent décalés Plusieurs possibilités et conditions pour résoudre ce problème : 1) Il faut que les champs soient obligatoirement remplis !

2) Veillez à ce que l'ordre des champs soit identique à celui que je vous ai partagé. 3) Le FACECLAIM est un champ de base de forumactif, anciennement HUMEUR (c'est pour ça qu'il n'a pas de croix à côté pour le supprimer). 4) N'oubliez pas non plus d'activer le système de points. Un compte sans point fait que son profil est décalé. Généralement dans la gestion des points, là où l'utilisateur·ice poste en premier (fiche de présentation, espace invité, préliens etc), j'y mets +1pt. Ou +1pt de gain par jour depuis l'inscription. 5) Pour ceux qui s'y connaissent un peu plus en code, sur le forum où j'ai réalisé mon thème, les champs ont pour id ceci :

Il se peut que les id de vos champs ne soient pas les mêmes (dépendamment de l'ordre dans lequel vous avez conçu les champs) et donc que cela décale l'apparition de ceux-ci dans vos messages ou votre profil si les solutions du dessus ne fonctionnent pas. Comment vérifier ? Allez dans votre panneau d'administration > Utilisateurs & Groupes > Utilisateurs > Profils > Champs du profil.

Appuyez sur F12 pour ouvrir votre INSPECTEUR. En haut à gauche de votre inspecteur, cliquez sur cet icon.

Ou appuyez directement sur CTRL + SHIFT + C. Survolez le bloc de croix de la ligne qui vous intéresse tout en étant en mode de sélection puis cliquez sur ce bloc.

Votre inspecteur va vous indiquer à quoi correspond la ligne. En l'occurrence et pour tous les champs, il s'agit d'une <td class="center"></td> que vous aurez juste à ouvrir en cliquant sur le petit triangle à gauche.

Vous trouverez en deuxième ligne sa value, ici value="18". 18 correspond à l'id de votre champ. Image 2 a donc, pour moi, l'id 18. Mais il se peut que chez vous cela soit autre chose ! Cela dépend de l'ordre dans lequel vous avez créé et ajouté vos champs. Si cela est différent, dans ce cas vous devrez : 1) soit modifier la partie css pour faire correspondre les id si vous avez la flemme de refaire vos champs. 2) soit refaire vos champs dans le bon ordre, tout en sachant que vous pourriez vous tromper ou qu'un champ n'apparaisse pas avec le bon id pour une raison obscure. Immediately, get Twine! Ren.py is nice and all, but I love Twine. I can do so much and all without the ability to draw.

DO NOT ignore the free templates on Twine they offer. They offer some fun things to do with Stylesheet section that you can have a LOT of fun playing around with.

What I did to properly learn A LOT, is to download a twine game on itch, then import it to your own twine. I did this right at the start JUST to look over the coding they did. It was such a good way to see how your favourite authors and coders choose to do things. Like, it's literally how i Learned. Looking at all the things you could do to collect variable answers, like the cycle option as well as listbox. It makes for amazing reading and I still have my own notes for all the extras that were hard to find in the official twine cookbook (WHICH IS STILL A V GOOD RESOURCE) Also, genuinely, keep playing other IFs. You'll get inspired as you go. Even the Wayfinder author legit keeps a helpful guide on their page just from how fuckin insane their own game is!

OH! THE WAY TO LINK TO ANOTHER PASSAGE IS [[ ]]. ITS VERY OBVIOUS BUT I DIDNT FIND THIS OUT FOR A BIT TOO LONG AND I WAS CONFUSIONED FOR A DAY. then, so your players can read something other than the passage name you can add a | in the middle. So you can fully put [[You slowly continue down the hallway....|Hallway.StealTheirBallsPassage]]. I've done this so much just to make myself giggle.

Join the Twine discord. Those people are fucking legends. I prefer to use sugarcube, it's closer to what I learned in school, and I can just send in either something I'm having trouble with or something I want to do but don't know how, and they fully take time out of their day to help. Then ALSO, the twine reddit. I have gone there in times of need more often than I dare to voice.

Genuinely, the more you spend time coding, the easier it gets. I'M NOT KIDDING. It used to take me a lot longer than a day or two to fix up a demo, have a nice layout, plus audio, and a solid amount of choices built into the text, but these days, now that I'm used to all of it, it takes next to no time at all! It's downright fucking funny. ALSO YOU HAVE TO BE READY TO GET EXPERIMENTAL WITH IT! That's the best way to learn.

Invest in someone else to read and play through when you're getting up in the word count. YOU WILL MISS THINGS. Rotwood is literally 106883 Words and 346 Passages long now. Do you know how fucking bug riddled and messy my game would be if not for my beta testers? VERY.

In my More Than Bargained For? WIP, the main premise isn't just about freeing the souls of the dead children with their happiest day, nor is it just about the reunion between Mario and Charlie, and neither is it just about Lena having fun with her animatronic buddies. Ultimately the main premise surrounds itself around bringing down Fazbear Entertainment, and ending the tragic madness of both William Afton and Henry Emily's feud and legacies. Like there's two-and-three-quarters of arcs to this WIP; first arc is gathering all the animatronics together in one place which, unbeknownst to Lena and her mentor Mike, is under Paragraph 4, though Lena's friendship with the children gives some of them the peace to move on from their animatronic pals. Fair warning, there's also parts in-between some chapters of this arc where she has really weird dreams. The mini arcs come during a timeskip after Lena's fired from Fazbear Entertainment after the fiasco that is being framed by Ennard for the murders of the technicians (Mike's unfortunately been scooped by Ennard); she comes to help Mike put to rest the remaining dangerous animatronics, although is there to save a few that she doesn't believe deserve to be destroyed or were mistakenly caught because they seem to fit the qualities of Paragraph 4 but truly don't. These mini arcs also involve going on a rescue mission down in Hell too (but there ain't enough time to unpack that right now). After those we get to the "Bringing down Fazbear Entertainment permanently" and "more efficient damage control over the remaining legacies of both Afton and Emily". This leads her to espionage the VR games, the Special delivery services, and lastly the Megaplex. In this particular arc, she... discovers familiar faces and remnants of old friends...

More on More Than Bargained For?, Lena's vendetta against Fazbear Entertainment stems from their inherent inability to take responsibility for the disappearances (and deaths) of the missing children (and doing the bare minimum to stop it again), plus their own corruption and greed in covering up their own hand in the tragedies for the sake of milking their brand dry, and their lack of punishment for the injustices for the many employees who died under their watch. Fazbear Entertainment is the greater-scope antagonist of this WIP, with William Afton & the Mimic being the main threats towards Lena and her friends. Lena, after surviving many death traps and being framed for two co-workers' murders and having to say goodbye to her ghostly pals (either voluntarily or involuntarily), has had it with Fazbear Entertainment's ability to weasel back to life time and time again just to repeat the same mistakes and choices of cutting corners and being shit employers. In this arc, Lena goes into espionage with some help to take down the company from the inside-out. However, her troubles come when Glitchtrap catches wind of this, and once being aware that Lena wants to take down his only source of flesh puppets, he decides to take action by taking advantage of Fazbear Entertainment's new "Special Delivery Service" to send Lena (and her girlfriend Cassandra) a very lovely animatronic home invasion.

In Life, Despair & Monsters, there is an Unnamed Poppy Playtime WIP, where there is Playtime Co.'s warehouse from the game, but also an abandoned sister location known as "Rosemary's Trinkets & Collectibles" that was shut down years prior before Playtime Co.'s own closure. In this WIP, the protagonists find that both locations are connected to each other, and find the co-founder of this location and the founder of the sister location, Frederick Rosemary, may not be as dead as originally thought, and has been trying to bust into Playtime Co.'s warehouse to get himself their unique toys for his sick pleasures and devices. Plus to help out his good friend Sir Enigma Malvolio too, doing the dirty work of experiments that Malvolio himself can't be inclined to do himself.

I used a template that worked last time and tweaked it to the body type I wanted for Rainbow and it didn't work out so well :( so it's more finished than the last tester I did but doesn't look at good imo. Still need to do some more tweaks

Don't think I've talked about it here at all but I started playing Magic the Gathering about a year ago, not super often or anything mind you, but enough to say I play it.

Anyway, because MTG is for nerds™ I refused to spend money on it and decided to make my own deck, as in, make my own original deck with custom made cards, the project took about 9 months or so of unfocused work but I managed to finish it just before my birthday earlier this month and use it for the first time on the day of.

The overall thing of the deck is based on The Minute Hour's main story album's using artwork from a lot of the animated videos and some of the zines, with the occasional image ripped from image searches. Not the most ethical method but since it's for personal use I figured that's fine.

I've had a few black and white tester versions of the deck but when I finally got a colour version printed my brain flashed with delayed gratification like I'd never experienced before. It made me realize I don't really ever plan or finish long term projects like this and this might be the thing I've put the most effort into. (Aside from a homebrew DnD campaign I retired a few years back)

I don't think I'll post the whole thing but here are a few of the cards I like the most. The templates I used are all a bit wrong but I wasn't tricking anyone into thinking they were real cards anyway.

I ended up making about 100 cards in total which gave me the ability to actually pick and choose what I wanted in the deck, most aren't power balanced super well, or some of the wording is off but I've been told by my friends that are lifelong MTG players that I've done a pretty bang up job on the whole thing. I also wanted to try and keep each card in line with what the story bit/joke is, so some couldn't be better without feeling like it deviated from the bit too much.

I plan on making a second custom deck based on different card and board games since everyone I play with really liked this project, and I think it would be funny to actually Uno Reverse a spell.

Oldtown Progress

All the properties are now finished. All I have to do is set everything up and have it looked at by the Expert 😉 PT ❤️. I will then have one of my awesome play testers test it out. and then I will roll it out! So excited. Here is the breakdown on the property changes to make it look like before the Pleasantview renovations took place.

7 Sim Lane is back on here as this is the version I had before the Pleansantview renovation. A lot is the same, but the landscape is a little different.

All I did on 55 Ingleside Drive was change the roof.

Completely changed 57 Ingleside Drive. This one came out cute.

Another version of Custer's Market. I think I like this one better. Shhh...

I made Pet Paradise look like it used to. I used a version of this property as a template. I copied the layout onto a larger lot I maintained most of their ideas. It's a property from TSR. I am only including the link to give this artist credit for their hard work that I copy catted.

The only thing that changed here were the exterior cosmetics.

I wanted the original looking McArthur Square, so I found Broomhilda's version. I tweaked it some. I just didn't want to re-invent the wheel. Broomhilda's McArthur Square.

I rebuilt The Gothic Quarter to try to make it the community lot it was. This is not a hotel like in the New Pleasantview version but just as cool on the inside.

All I did was change the roofing and paint on this beautiful property by @plumbtales Only to make it look more like the classic version from Sims 1. Everything else is as Plumbtales designed it.

This version of 77 Maple Street is only partially mine. An MTS artist did an awesome job on this lot. I have sent them a message letting them know I was going to use in my version of Old Town. Check out the original, it's so much cooler and if you like that version better exchange it that one :D.

Here's is another beautiful property @plumbtales made for the New Pleasantview. All I did here was repaint and remove some landscaping. Not much to change. Plumbtales work is always impeccable!

That's all folks. After this I will focus on scripted events for New Pleasantview. And this project will be complete. Then back to remodeling college lots and game play :).

Well, one of my friends started a new business.

Which is annoying to me because she sent me a message asking about my goals and shit- acting like we haven't been talking nearly every day for years.

She knows what I have been doing (or I thought).

She knows that I regularly review my diet and regularly exercise.

She sent me a template message and when I said I was already on something, she asked me to post a tester message on the Facebook.

I did it. OK, whatever...but she wouldn't tell me even what fucking company it was. Are you fucking kidding me? 😒

So a friend signed up for her program and messaged me. So I asked what company it was.

But why the fucking cloak and dagger. We are actual friends. Starting a fricking business and hitting me up without telling me what the actual business is? Come on!

Apparently this pissed myself off to the 9th level. She should know that I am with a coach, and doing the damn thing every day. Ugg.

Weirdly enough, I probably would have bought a package if she hadn't been so fucking weird about it because as you know, I am trying alot of weird shit. I was extremely heavy for a long fucking time. And if a weight chart says I am supposed to weigh 120.... good God. I am still 80 pounds away from that, AFTER 120 pound loss.

I am already on something that is helping me, it is called Nomorbidity from The Ambrosia Collective. I also started Alkemi from them back in October.

I have also been taking something called Slim from TS transformations.

If you are interested in either of those, just use Google and order them.

What is the point of this?

Oh yeah, I am super fucking annoyed that a person who got weight loss surgery hit me up like a fucking acquaintance; pretending like we haven't been heavily involved in each other's lives.

If you start a business, don't do this. Your friends deserve better.
