Yeehawgust 2024: Greener Pastures

Saddle up, folks! We’ve got greener pastures on the horizon, because it’s time for Yeehawgust’s 6th year this August!

Yeehawgust features daily art prompts as well as alternative weekly prompts, for those of us who are a bit slower on the draw. Don’t draw at all? No problem! Submit any art at all, be it illustration, comics, writing, fanfiction, photography, embroidery, sculpture, music, or whatever other creative endeavors you might enjoy. All skill levels are welcome, and this can be a great opportunity to experiment with new styles and techniques. 

Maybe you love media like Red Dead Redemption and Fallout: New Vegas, or classic westerns like The Magnificent Seven. You might enjoy the genre, and you’re looking for a chance to make a cowboy AU and put your OCs in chaps and your blorbos in a Stetson. Heck, maybe you just really want to draw horses. Whatever your reason, you’re welcome to join in, pardner!

the reason that trans men* do not and will not have male privilege under the patriarchy is because trans men ARE NOT MEN under the patriarchy. SOCIETY DOES NOT VIEW TRANS MEN* AS MEN. People In Society may interact with Trans Men* in ways that seem to grant them male privilege. but that is only if they are steath or in a particularly progressive area.

the increasing number of reactionary transmascs who throw transfems under the bus in this current global political climate freaks me out and i feel like not enough of us are really standing with our sisters in the face of extreme transmisogynistic violence, even and especially when we're usually being used as rhetorical weapons to bludgeon women with. everyone thinks we're eternally infantile victims. i think we need to work towards proving everyone wrong about us and provide care and shelter for transfems at all times specifically because many of us have the power to do so.
