Well, I did it

Megatron - I love his tfp design. Probably one of the best iteration of Megs. He is huge, heavy armoured, his face covered with scars… He doesn’t looks like an ordinary military leader who is only capable of giving orders, but like real warrior who can destroy any enemy with his bare hands.

So, in the WOF version, he definitely shares some features with Princess Burn, not only because of his might, but also because of his horns shape and dirty-dark scales (that absorbed blood of his enemies)

Starscream - Boy, I hate him so much 🤣… but in the good way, trust me! In my opinion, when the show's creators make you feel such strong negative emotions towards a villain, it means they've done a great job. Also, I think that his animation in the show was absolutely incredible, because even though he's a 3D model, he still manages to move like a 2D character, which is amazing!

I feel that in my design he still looks more like a skywing, than an icewing (which is kinda logical)

Soundwave - This one was tricky. I couldn't figure out what his mask would look like, so I just made his face a really dark color. I think Soundwave has both gifts of the nightwings, and he’s equally great at telepathy and a future vision. So he doesn't really need equipment to predict enemy movements, which makes him an ideal communicator in the WOF setting. His Laserbeak is part of the armor enchanted by Shockwave, and it might also allow him to open portals (but I'm not sure with this one)

Shockwave - My favourite evil genius. He would definitely have animus magic and mind reading. I think Shockwave is the only one who has advanced the study of magic so far, precisely because he combined it with scientific knowledge and created safer methods of using it, that don't damage the mind. It's like if a Mastermind got animus magic in books.

I also like to think that he didn't heal the damaged part of his face just so that his enemies would fear him more)

Dreadwing - This man deserved better! It's really a shame that he was removed from the show so quickly due to financial problems. It would be great if his arc got a proper conclusion in season 3.

Considering that I didn't want to make him a hybrid, it was difficult to choose a suitable color palette. So let’s just say, that I tried my best😅

I don’t think that he would have any nightwing powers, but honestly it doesn’t even matter - this guy can make a bombs, what else does he need to be cool

Arachnid - Did anyone even doubt that she would be a hivewing? Damn, she even got her own “Othermind” virus. Her design was the easiest to work with - just a little poisonous ass (suspiciously similar to Maleficent).

Just like Starscream, I hate her, but in a good way. She's one of the creepiest characters in the entire series, who’s acting like a fucking heartless monster, especially with Arcee, but even so, there's always was something mesmerizing about her. I just really like strong female villains

Knockout - Wery bright and charismatic guy, definitely one of my fav cons!

I tried to draw him as handsome as possible. Worked a lot on the face shape and coloring, and as for me it turned out pretty nice (finally).

Most decepticons think Knockout is as stupid and lazy as all the other rainwings. And it's not like he completely disagrees with that. Of course he’s not stupid and lazy, but if it’s means less dirty work on the battlefield, well, he’ll continue act like a tipical rainwing

(I also believe that Megatron keeps him as an “art”)

Breakdown - Fun fact: "Operation Breakdown" was the very first thing I saw in this series. And it was an interesting experience for 8 year old me. Maybe that's why I'm so scared of eye gouging scenes in movies now…

I think that he didn't have any siblings initially due to his parents nature, and even after meeting Bulkhead, he felt uncomfortable among the other mudwings. And this is why he later chose the side of the decepticons. And maaaaybe because of one cute rainwing influence)

P.s.

I think that, being mostly nightwings and icewings, the decepticons are much more concerned about purity of their blood and rarely accept half-breeds into their ranks.

During the war, there were many animus dragons among decepticons, which is why they have so many artifacts that allowed teleportation and communication at a distance. But, honestly, I still can't imagine what Nemesis would look like in this AU

Hello🙏  It's true that each continuity has difference design but the basic in learning and simplify them is still the same to me, I need to find the shape first I learned how to draw rodimus before I start learning to draw tfone bots so for me I think this is how I sketch tf character in general Use this opportunity to share some drawing process I kept from TEG fanart🙏 It's fun to look at the progress

I haven't drawn many tf character other than IDW, TF One and TFP but I think IDW bots are harder to draw than TF One although idw reference are easier to use bc it is already 2d art with clean lines but those too many lines sometimes overwhelmed to look at so the best way to learn from them is also to find the overall shape first and keep only the details that are obvious on that bot (it's also bc im too lazy to draw every detail and polish everything) All of the bots I have drawn, I think Trailbreaker is the hardest one 55555555555 I tried my best to understand him but I still feel like I failed something

Phew, my last weeks of work are now complete >:)

I loved Dratchet and Ratchlock since the very beginning of my attachment towards Transformers, first TFP Ratchet…..but yeah….two of my favorites character….plus Keferon’s Mech AU…..I had to make my own thing about it.

A story….no…an illustration ! I couldn’t choose. So I did both :}

That was not the first time Ratchet came back to his private lab angry, but this time, yelling at his superiors, and at the system, and basically at evverything that could be yelled at except the pilotd while leaving the manufacture, was certainly the last. He quit. That was enough,

you don’t win a war with feelings they said

well yes,

exactly,

but you win a war with soldier, and frying their mind before they have their first fight because you want them to be more perfectionned ? That was a little counter productive.

So he gave up. They are on their own now.

The lightly humming of his car was barely enough to keep him awake, it have been a long time since he last returned home, usually, he stayed at his work place, to have more time to sleep, but then, he was sleeping even less. An endless vicious circle, things were often like that.

But all of that was over for him.

He granted these young greenhorn with his experience, and what did they do ? Ignored his advices. Sending pilots to death. So now, he had himself out of the infernal machinery. This mindless waste of human life, even where this is what they tried to save was absurd.

In the middle of his quiet and late ride, he heard a noise. Rumbling, was it the engine ? As he stopped the car backroad to check, the noise wasnt stopping. Came from the sky, military patrol ? He raised his two tired eyes on the sky and saw a shining rail approaching his forest, falling fast. Not quintesson shaped, and with the gaze of an experimented biomechanist, Ratchet identified a mech.

At this moment, its violently crashed on the ground, behind the trees at maybe three or four miles away. No matter how hard he argued with the scientist sooner this day or how bad he wanted to say fuck to all of this death industry who killed young soldiers, he could do something for the one trapped inside the mech....maybe.... the man regained his car as fast as possible and urgently headed for the crash area.

Deafened sound of tires on the damaged road. Ratchet was already projecting, mentally stocktaking the tools he took with him, and lucky enough for the poor pilot, he quit with almost all of his material, and even if it was mainly mechs repairing material, he also bought some instruments which were used for the subtle neuromedicine between human and mech. Could adapt some of it and stabilize the pilot....then he may have the time to go home and grab proper materials. If there was life there was hope.

He frowned. Almost there.

The trees nearby were crushed and uprooted. A flickering pink light catched his gaze.

Almost immediately, the Ratchet analyzed the mech. It was different. He didnt know in wich country it was made but that almost looks alien. The curves and shapes, busted and burned on several places were demonstrating an incredible display of genius ingeniery he could just admiring. But time was not for being amazed on plating.

Someone was trapped there.

He stopped and parked his car in front of a fallen tree, rushing to the car's trunk, taking few indispensable objets, including some of them to help a safe disconnection between pilot/mech. In case he wasnt out already. And a crowbar, the cockpit might be stuck, seeing all the damages the mech has taken...

The sound of slightly wet grass under his feet was covered by a frenetic noise of aeration. Ratchet listened to it, while cautiously approaching the unknown mech. It almost sounded like a breath, but was certainly a depressurisation issue. The mech had fallen from so high on the sky....

The damaged plating were hot, probably from atmosphere friction. He raised his crowbar and his eyes followed the curves of the chestplates, searching for a familiar shape, that could lead him to the injured pilot inside. His gaze stopped on a deep wound, that might have cut through the cockpit.

The engineer stepped on the hot metal, his thick boots preventing him from feeling the heat, and he started searching for a hint....anything that could be a mechanism, anything that could open this damn mech !

Ratchet considered the damaged chest plate he noticed earlier. The surroundings of the wound were leaking bright pink, a very unusual color for fuel. Another of these definitively strange things about the mech. Again....not the time for that. Maybe if he could widen the gap, then he would be able to have an idea of what was going on under this armor.

He tapped the plate, -it was starting to cool down- with one of his finger. It was a very little tap, but the whole mech startled. A hiss of pain, recognisible easily by an emerite engineer-but-i-fix-people-too, it had come from the head of the mecha. Was this modele controlled from the head, like Vortex ? But Vortex was insanely huge for a mech, way taller than this one. He moved careful, noticing the shaking of his support.

"You hear me, kid ? Its going to be ok. You crashed in a safe area.".

He spoke in his medic tone, wich mean, of course brusque, serious, but also reassuring and calm.

He mumbled about the mech's features and tiny words of comfort while reaching for the head.

A red light, not regular and rather epileptic was coming from the head, and while he was almost there, on all four of his limb to keep balance, Ratchet saw it.

A spectacularly humanoid face, with sculpted nose and lips was tensed in a painful expression, frowning, but the thing who trapped his gaze was the two optics....

....staring back at him.

Mechs dont stare. Their eyes are glowing, oftenly to mimick human face, after all, human are pretty prideful creature, no point in piloting big ass metal titan if no one could tell these where their creation.

What human couldnt mimick with technologie, on the other hand, was the subtle expression between trying to evualuate a threat, his own injuries, and looking rather on the verge of death but also ready to tear any enemy's limb appart with its teeth.

With just one....very long....look at the other's eye, Ratchet was suddenly understanding what was going on.

Well....probably not but he knew what he had to save.

The pilot, the pilot he had to save.

The mech was the pilot.

He was the one he had to save.

He stopped trying to -certainly- open his chest. If it wasnt good for human it probably wasnt for living technology.

The giant technological humanoid seemed in a high distress, exhaling a lot of air from his vents, his eye still intensely staring at him and the engineer doubted his usual technique -including trying to make himself as small as possible- would work.

"Its going to be okay Kid. I can help you. There is nothing here that want to harm you".

He did his best to convey all of these emotions with his facial expression and gaze, still firmly watching back at him.

"the world better wait till im home and officially retired before killing me".

The mech's gaze -damn it was so more living than ANY human made machinery- seemed to soften a bit but still radiated with suspicion.

Deadlock had been in several bad situations. It happened quite a lot when a specie of giant aliens with tendrils tried to invade your homeland, and he was ready to it.

Trained to kill, and to do it efficiently.

And he was *good* at it.

This time was just another of these ‘i went too far in my excitation’ moments, and he has crashed on a random planet he hoped was not inhabited. He landed hard, and pieces of his ship must’ve been thrown near his location.

And now, now there was an organic like no one he ever saw, and the organic was on his *lap* and he had the kindest warmest eyes he ever saw.

And these eyes were directly looking at his own eyes, and the well named ‘Deadlock’ was starting to wonder if he finally had reunited with the Allspark. His pained and tenseful grin faded a little and he tried to move his head forward, searching a better point of view to watch the singularity in front of him.

Ow.

Moving hurt.

Some sound came out of the organic’s mouth, probably a language. He didn’t had the proper tools to decode it but the tone of the language was extremely….comforting ? Soft ?

This was scary.

He wasn’t used to be welcomed like that after a fight.

Usually it was either another fight, either the yelling of a superior, either nothing at all. But this actual living being was carefully examinating his chestplates, and he recognized the gestual of someone who was used to heal. A medic perhaps ?

He tried to move something, maybe a hand, to reach for the pale organic, to be sure he was real, but his body was rather uncooperative, from what he could say, one of his legs was missing, and a lot of wound were releasing energon on the ground he couldn’t saw.

The high probabilities of bleeding out and crash was an issue.

He let his head hang, too tired to watch for every moves of the organic, and barely aware of his environment.

There must be a big problem somewhere….

He confusely thought, while watching the stars.

Must be a bigger injury I haven’t saw……..

Ratchet saw the bright light coming from the alien’s eyes slowly fading, and cold swear ran through his back. Yet, he could still say the soldier was alive, the lights of his body were shining, not a lot, but it was enough. He looked at his first aid kit with disappointment. That wouldn’t be very efficient since the form of life he was trying to preserve wasn’t a tiny human. The nearest thing he could compare the Mech to was….well their own mechs, or eventually….Quintesson. An horrible mess of organic and technology. It was partially thanks to their weird constitution that Ratchet had been able to make sense with the ‘he is alive’ thought.

At this moment and with this material, he couldn’t help the kid, and didn’t possess enough knowledge to tell if he was even dying or not.

He had already an idea of what to do….to fix him, at least trying to, but it involved several objects he hadn’t right now. Leaving to search for these so called objects was risking to let an injured alone, he couldn’t take that risk. He was trapped with the mech, and had to hurry and find something. He stood and reached for more adapted material in his car, trying to find something…. Anything.

Surprisingly, the most useful artifact he came across was his electric screwdriver and a bunch of screw along with a long metallic cabke. A parallel between human stitch, with sewing threads and the material he had with him right now. He could manage something between human fixing and mech repairing, that was what the ‘bio’ in bioengineer stood for.

The kid would be ok. He would live and tell Ratchet why he fell from the sky, and maybe if he saw his friend Jazz….out there…….

Waspinator x Reader, TFP Bulkhead x Reader, Bluestreak x Reader, Armada Starscream x Reader

Waspinator

• Sighing as a mandible brushes your cheek, you’d long since accepted that you no longer have personal space. Your space is also your clingy bug husband’s space. Arms wrapped around your middle and chin on your shoulder, he watches you mixing the batter with the same rapt fascination he reserves for anything you do. How many times has he watched you stress baking cupcakes? It can’t be that interesting anymore, but he’s fixated on your every move. Like it’s magic to him. Maybe it is. You’ve seen his attempts to cook for you and had to threaten him with violence to get him to stop trying.

• Watching his little mate’s hands as you’d measured mysterious powders and liquids in a bowl, breaking the delicate little eggs, and then mixing it all, he vents against your neck, scenting the sweet organic stuff and you. Knows you’ll then line that metal pan that he’s forbidden from eating with paper things in the little holes then spoon in the mixture. And you’ll make human food. Loves watching you decorate the little things, the way you fuss to make each one perfect, shaping sugary petals and flowers for them even though you’re just going to eat them. You’re happy, so he’s happy even though eating the pretty things makes him sick.

Bluestreak

• “Ta-da,” you murmur, lips twitching in embarrassment as you hold up the flower chain and he leans forward to let you drape it around his neck. Watch him reach up, servos just shy of touching it like he’s afraid he’ll break it and he beams at you. Like you’d just done the coolest thing ever instead of something childish. And your heart skips a beat at his smile, warmth spreading through you.

• You made him something with those soft hands. Burying his face against your neck, he hears you laugh as he tugs you onto your back and he shifts over you. Wanting more. A kiss, to touch you. To love you, but unsure if you’d let him. If you like him that way and he’s too scared to ask. To find out that you don’t. “Thank you,” he murmurs against your skin and you cup the back of his helm as he vents deeply, scenting you and the green scent of the broken flower stems. And the delicate chain will go into his locker with everything else you’ve made for him, his treasures. He’d lost everything when he’d lost his home and family. Hadn’t bothered to collect things, to keep mementos after that, but he wants those things you give him or make him. Because you’re his home, the only thing he needs and the only thing he can’t keep. Wishes he was braver. That he could tell you he loves you, needs you.

Armada Starscream

• Spark warming as you fuss over his mini-cons like they’re yours, he can’t help but imagine you as a carrier with your own sparklings. With his sparklings. It’s become a guilty fantasy that he can’t actually admit to you, that any time he touches you, he’s thinking about sparking you. About trying to. And you’d be such a good carrier, can tell watching you with his mini-cons. Spike stirring at the thought of you sparked with his young, his wings flare slightly.

• Aware of him staring at you, the mini-cons notice too and chirp softly. Leaving the two of you without needing to be asked as everything shifts and you beat. Because you know that look on his face. Know that he’s thinking about sex, about you suddenly. Breathless as he mass shifts and stalks your way, you have no idea what flicked his switch, but you’re not about to complain.

TFP Bulkhead

• Teeth sinking into your bottom lip as you wedge an arm between two armor panels to fish out a shard of metal, you’re aware of Bulkhead trying so hard to be still for you, his deep voice rough. “Thanks again. Didn’t want to bother Ratchet with a little scratch,” he says, a servo brushing your spine and you shoot him a look.

• Venting at that censoring frown, he knows you don’t approve of him avoiding the medic and a proper check up, but he’d rather have your soft hands gently pulling out shrapnel instead of Ratchet’s strong servos. You’re always so careful like you’re afraid you’re going to hurt him, but you’ve also never once dropped a shard down between his plating. Not that Ratchet has, either, but if it’s you or the cranky, old medic? He’ll choose you every time. And there’s the added bonus of your soft form sprawled on him to reach, though he can’t admit that to you. That he loves the feel of you stretched out on top of him, gets flustered just thinking of it, his spike stirring behind his plating to make him shift uncomfortably. Hating that he can’t just say that he wants more than your friendship, that he wants it all. Wants you.

Transformer Prime Theory: The Optics

It’s interesting how, in TFP, the characters all have a variety of optics sizes and shapes, instead of everyone having plain solid colours like in G1 and most other continuities. And I personally believe there is some more biological reasons why some of these optics look the way they are (some big, some small, some solid colours and others not, and some having rings and others not).

TW: starvation mention.

THEORY #1:

The size of the optics is determined by how well fed and healthy the transformer is.

Firstly, we can see that most Transformers with big optics are Decepticons, who we always know have more Energon mines and supplies than the Autobots.

Secondly. Megatron has a big optic that take over the entire frame, and he is totally someone who would have a feast himself first before feeding his subjects. On the contrary Optimus have one of the smallest optic in the show, probably because, unlike Megatron, he would only eat himself when he knows his subjects are well fed. (Poor Optimus)

Thirdly, Breakdown and Bulkhead also have some of the biggest optics in their teams. Breakdown is one of the few in the show whose optics are complete solid colors, and, although Bulkhead’s optics are not solid colours, or completely take over the frame, they are still much bigger than most other Autobots. This is probably because they are both the muscles of the team so they must have been fed more so that they can be stronger and fight better. (Cliffjumper might have been one, too, because he also got a huge optic, but we never hang around him enough to know for sure)

Fourthly: Bumblebee also got big optics, probably because he is the youngest Autobot, and is probably still growing in a way, so everyone would want to make sure he got enough nutrients to grow up big and healthy.

Fifthly: I think this is the best proof of all. So throughout the show Starscream’s optics are always quite big and round (though it is not always obvious in bright lightings).

However, in the Orion Episode, while Starscream was sneaking into the Nemisis to steal energons, his optics suddenly fill the whole frame

(“Orion Pax Part One”, Season 2, Episode 2)

This is likely because, since Starscream had gone rogue at this point, and we know that in “Rock Bottom” (Season One Episode 19) Starscream has been hiding energons for himself, perhaps Starscream hasn’t yet learned how to manage supplies sustainably on his own, and quickly drained his resources that he’s hide for himself before. Thus, more energons in the eyes. That’s probably also why he has taken the risk to go back to the Nemisis to steal Energon cause he was out of it already. He was living feast or famine at this point.

Now, there are some bugs in this theory, such as why Knockout have such a small pupil despite not having any reasons to starve. However, knowing Knockout and his obsession with his appearance, I believe he would totally put himself on a diet to look even more fabulous. I don’t think Transformers can really gain weight from Energons, though, at least not in the way we think, but Knockout could also just love the look of a small optic and think it fits his beauty, so he starved himself to achieve that.

One question you might have for the theory, “But it has been going around that Ratchet starve himself to save the supplies for the others, but his optics are big?” Now. Ratchet, I believe, is a different situation, which leaves us to theory #2.

THEORY #2:

The ring around the optic signify how intensely the optic was used.

Firstly, like mentioned above, Ratchet have a special optic: his centeral pupil itself is pretty small, similiar size with Optimus’s, but it got a big ring around it, making it look big. Now I think the ring have nothing to do with how well fed the Transformer is, like the theory above, it is there to supply more Energon to the function of the optic, and making it sharper basically. Knockout also have one, probably for the same reason as Ratchet.

Secondly: Bumblebee also have one. Understandable. He is the scout, he need to look afar a lot.

Thirdly: if you look closely you can see that Optimus got these colorless, metal ring around his optic, too, which no one else have, but it doesn’t have Energon in them. This is probably because he probably used to have them, as Orion Pax, who was an archives working in front of computers all the time. But over the years of not using it in the same way as much as the Prime, Energons left the ring and left the area, leaving the empty ring behind.

Now, there goes my theories and how I think the optics works, kind of. There is still a lot that I am still working on and might make another post off in the future, such as why some of them had a white ring/circle in their optics (I don’t think white rings work the same as blue rings, cause Bulkhead have a white ring but he doesn’t have any reasons to need good vision more than others.) and why their optics are different colors.

sooooooo this is unfortunately destined to be a forever WIP. there are several things that need to be fixed, and all of them would require me to start from the sketch. given that the linework and flats are done, it's just not worth it to me!

but i still do really love this WIP. as ive said before, drawing tfp is so hard, and yet it is the continuity i draw the most LMAO. i just LOVE the character designs and how fluid they are. so many times with transformers, we get the same blocky shapes, but TFP really pushed the limits of what can be considered mechanical but also beautiful.

i love the greebling in tfp and i really hope i captured it with optimus' neck and chest in this. i mean, why is that man's upper chest so exposed!! my guy!!! you need to cover that shit up, they could kill you!!!!! its ok, im not slutshaming, i love the look, i'm just worried about the fact that you constantly go head to head with megatron and you have your internals exposed like that.

also, can we talk about how PRETTY soundwave is??? like for real, they didn't need to make it so hot. but they did, and i love them for that. thank you tfp artists and animators, yall did so much for the robotfucker community.

Yes, Megatron's human design was inspired by the villain from Disney's Atlantis.

TFA Megatron is more level-headed than other iterations (I'm looking at you and your drugs tfp). While others rely on brute force, tfa Megatron is calculating and collected, but still has the strength to back up his authority. It's my favorite interpretation of his character.

So he gave me mob boss vibes. He'd dress nice, smoke cigars, and drink wine.

Lugnut has a semi-official human design. It was made by the art director for the show, the late Derrick J Wyatt. But because Lugnut technically has more eyes than most of the other characters, I didn't like the eyepatch he had. So I tweaked the design a bit. I really wanted to emphasize his sheer bulk.

For Shockwave, I wasn't sure how supernatural I wanted to go. So I opted not to just give him shape-shifting powers, and instead used the costuming to alter his appearance. As Longarm, he's more nerdy and his loose clothing hides his body and helps him look smaller and less threatening. As Shockwave, his clothes are more form fitting and helps emphasize his height so he can loom over others.

Sorry if it doesn't have that much yandere as you were hoping for.

Okay, so, the only way I can see that you could've gotten his attention is either you're related to one of the three human charges – family or friend. Because of that, you don't know about the Autobots and Decepticons.

Soundwave was given the mission to find out more about the human pets, through humans that are close to them. Out of all of their family and friends, he chose you.

He only went through some of your info, and you're a friend of Miko's host parents that lives in a state up north, in Gravity Falls, Oregon (Yes, I'm making a little crossover with GF, but TFP came out 2 years before Gravity Falls existed, so Weirdmageddon hasn't happened yet, nor have the Pine Twins visited yet.)

You've met Miko a few times when you've came to visit, and it's best to say you don't like how loud, irresponsible, foolish, and doesn't understand people's boundaries. You were a rather quiet introverted person, and she was an overbearing extrovert, so you two didn't mix well.

When it was Christmas last year, they were at your family gathering, and she almost got your cousins hurt with firecrackers, who were mainly toddlers and young children. She even said, quote-unquote, that "They needed to live a little and not have helicopter parents deciding everything for them." The thing was that your aunts and uncles weren't helicopter parents, they were normal, calm, and understanding parents!

Miko was one of the main reasons why you lost faith in humanity, and you despised her with a burning passion. You even told this to her in her face, but she would say that you're just grumpy and should take a nap. As if you were a little child that didn't know better!

You work as an online artist that takes request for people who can't draw certain things like, animals, details, DND characters, Oc's etc.

As time went on, he was starting to get obsessed with learning more about you, and he knows more about you than anyone else you know in your life. Your favorite animal are birds, your favorite color is d/s/f/c (Dark Shade of Favorite Color), you hate people, don't like talking, have a pet European Starling named Jermey, after the crow in the Secret of Nimh because of his love for shiny and sparkly things, who is also the model for your watermarks on your designs, you like dying your hair, and so much more.

You were having a normal day, doing a live stream as you were taking requests from your viewers, when this one person in particular to do a city made out of metal, the people are robots that can transform, and even gave you an image that they "made" that was called Kaon. Interested, you took up this challenge.

It was safe to say that Soundwave wasn't disappointed with the end results of it; It looked magnificent. The image of his home was nostalgic of the good old days of Cybertron, when it wasn't just him and Laserbeak, when all of his children minicons were still alive.

The two of you kept in contact and became friends on the internet. You would tell each other about how your days went; you were told that he works as one of the higher ups in a company, has to deal with an annoying, loud, arrogant assistant of his boss – reminds you of a certain someone –, has a pet bird, is introverted, doesn't talk, doesn't like humanity- you're already hooked.

You turned a blind eye to things, like how he somehow knows where you live, find out about private accounts on social media, knows that you're talking to someone even when there's barely any people around, kind of seeming jealous/overprotective over text. The hardest one to do is when someone insults or steals your art, only to end up severely or lightly wounded somewhere between the next day to the end of the week, saying that a robot version of Slenderman or a metal bird that has an origami themed shape, etc.

There were a few things that caught your attention. How he uses the wrong terminology for things such as units time, parts of the body, even saying organics, fleshies, humans instead of people or others by their names. You were suspicious but brushed it off every time it happens.

At the beginning of Soundwave's his sire growing obsession, Laserbeak didn't even understand what was so great about you. But it changed when he was shot down by Autobots and landed out in the woods, you found him, and repaired him. During his stay, he made friends with Jeremy, and during repairs, you were gentle as you could be when fixing him up, your touched were light, you asked if what you were doing was alright, and he honestly thought of those human films where the mother would help their child when they get an injury. In this situation, he was your the child, and you were his the mother; he understood now.

Knowing Laserbeak's existence was the reason why it was a little hard to turn a blind eye to those that were injured.

When Laserbeak returned, he gave the information to Soundwave, and that's when Soundwave knew that you were the one to complete the family.

When the both of you actually met face-to-face is when you texted him that an ex of yours came back is so persistent on getting back together and won't leave you alone. When it was night, your ex cornered you, and was ranting on and on about how you should be grateful that he's giving you a second chance, even though you were the one to break up with him, only to end up dead on the pavement. You looked up to see Soundwave himself.

The first thought that came to mind didn't revolve around fear. No! It was 'Oh, god, he looks hot-'

So, you were taken aboard the Nemesis, you became a part of the Con Crew. 1.) Because you're close, in a way, to one of the Autobot's human pets; 2.) You hated humans just as much as they did; 3.) It's Soundwave. Megatron trusts him with any decision of his. A reason Soundwave gave, in public? A human to spy on the Autobots- Shut the fuck up random Vehicon, this is a human spy, not Makeshift. This isn't like Starscream's plan.

This happened only a day after Optimus Prime became Orion Pax. Soundwave had a feeling that something might happen, so he had you wear something that will cover up everything, mainly your head/face. He knows the archivist is smart, and if he were to revert back to Optimus, then he would recognize who you are.

Often times, some Vehicons would make comments about a human joining the ranks, or try to get rid of you, and they were met with an electric end.

It was only about a week later, after Orion became Optimus again, when they decided how they were going to get you in their base, and with the help of the newly arrived Dreadwing, they can do just that.

There is something that I’ve been curious about tho. What if Soundwave somehow got the chance to reunite with his universes Megatron at some point after the events of TEG? What might a reunion between them look like?

This is a popular question! I've been asked several times: it's something people are definitely curious about.

I never had an answer because I always knew we wouldn't be going back to SW's dimension in the fic. And even if we did, his Megatron would be dead or altered beyond recognition, due to the internal logic of the universe. I never needed an answer. And it felt like it would be very complicated and Too Much Work to figure out.

Unsatisfying but true, lol.

But, okay, let's do a little mind experiment. Off the cuff. No prior planning. Let's say that, somehow, SW's Megatron is preserved and in a recognizable state, and that the last we saw of him in TFP is also true in universe. And for some reason, SW wants to go back. And for some reason, they've run into each other.

The last we saw of Megatron in TFP, iirc, he'd just been freed from subjugation under Galvatron, and he stated that he never wanted to feel like that again, and he would not do it to anyone else ever again.

So disregarding RiD2015 as any possible source of further characterization...

...I feel like this Megatron would avoid Soundwave and the other Decepticons for a long time. He really sounded like he wanted a Very Long Time Out. His character change was stark, in those last few on screen moments, and there isn't much to go off of, regarding what New Directions he would head down.

He had a very calm air about him when he said it... but he's not an innately calm character. He's been driven by anger for a long time. He had expectations of being fully obeyed for a long time. He has just been handed the reveal of his life: that everything he did was extremely awful and he's only learned that because it happened to him.

So we have a character in an unknown state. How much growth will there actually be? Or will there be a backlash, a backslide into something similar to what he was before? There are no real answers (as far as I know of, in canon), so this becomes the domain of the fic writer.

And that's what I mean when I say this sounds like Too Much Work xD How do I proceed with an arc that feels Megatron-y, doesn't copy any other arcs we've seen, feels authentic to the character and world... what happens when you push a character to the destruction of their core values? How do they build themselves up again?

I don't know :D I'd have to rewatch TFP and then sit and think about it for a long time, and I'm not interested in doing that. I see several courses his arc could take, but I'm not sure which one is the most 'authentic.'

But, okay, people keep asking me.

Let's say TFP Megatron has been scrounging around, somewhat pathetically, on Cybertron (I honestly don't remember what state Cybertron was left in, at the end of TFP, but we're far into the future so uhhhhhh idk it's rebuilding), and our main characters meet because SW has returned to his home dimension for supplies. I assume SW would be accompanied by a few friends, probably including Rodimus.

There'd be some kind of first contact scene, but the thing the readers most want to see is SW and Megatron alone, so we'd have to plot for Rodimus & friends to go somewhere else (be amenable to giving them alone time, or get distracted by something, etc). So now we have SW and Megatron. And they're staring at each other.

SW is looking at the mech who destroyed him, rebuilt him, and then used him for millions of years.

Megatron is looking at the ultimate example of his tyrannic rule: a mech he shaped into a perfect servant.

SW sees Megatron as a pitiful thing, obviously living off scraps [since in this character arc branch we won't let him backslide into dark energon use or his tyrannical tendencies], obviously alone and doing terribly.

Megatron sees SW as a faded and scratched up, but obviously healthy mech, who initially arrived with allies. Allies who wear the Autobrand.

What next?

Well... I don't know. I'm going to give you some possible reactions Megatron has to this:

-immediately starts calculating how he can use Soundwave to his advantage. this Megatron IS clever enough, in my opinion, to possibly recognize that SW's associates are not Of This Universe. perhaps, he thinks, he can appeal to SW's loyal nature

-truly feels sorry for what he did to SW: either does or does not know how to apologize for it

-"Even you, Soundwave?" though Megatron has sworn off his old ways, he's still disappointed that his most loyal soldier has switched sides. it's a reminder of his own weakness and failure. he couldn't even keep Soundwave loyal

Some possible reactions SW has to seeing Megatron:

-!!!

-correctly recognizing him as the pitiful figure he is, and perhaps even going so far as to identify with the long process Megatron has ahead of him for healing, should Megatron even be able to find people to help him through it

-anger. despite the pitiful appearance, Megatron still did bad things, and unlike 0001 Megatron, never apologized or made any amends

-perhaps the most biting response: SW could look at Megatron for a moment and then just walk away. maybe Megatron calls out to him, but he keeps going. he lets Megatron see that he's healthy and thriving, and that he doesn't need Megatron, and that he doesn't care about him. he doesn't even need or want an apology, or any kind of response. he assesses and moves on, like Megatron is just another piece of scrap

or, of course

-some kind of hilariously inappropriate troll response, lol.

so yeah. as you can see, anon, there are quite a few ways things could go. there's an infinite number of ways things could go!

the way you choose which thing to do would depend on what you want the story to say. is there some kind of message about forgiveness? or is the message that there are some things you just can't forgive, and so you must move on for your own sense of self and preservation? cut ties, and so forth

and so that's the answer: there are too many answers and I'm not particularly interested, at this time, in figuring out which one is the best. I always say, hey, you never know: if I ever do feel like writing out this scene, I will

Megatron: Tell your lacky to shut up.

Optimus: I can’t.

Now for Arcee it would be an emotionally charged situation. Her character arc in TFP centered around the loss of Cliffjumper. She spent the whole series coming to terms with that fact.

So to see him alive and well would cause very conflicting emotions!

Of course the Survey Corps would know who she is the minute she says her name at the docks, because Cliffjumper always talked highly about her and worried for her safety and well-being. Arcee and Wheeljack don’t see Cliffjumper on the first scope of the island but they do see Optimus, which prompts them to corner both him and Megatron.

Levi would still relay this information to Optimus and Cliffjumper and Cliffjumper can’t help but go into a panic, rushing towards the port ignoring Optimus’ calls for him to come back. Cliffjumper arrives at the port to see Arcee sitting along the edge and calls her name. And she sees him, freaks out, and falls backwards into the water.

Cliffjumper immediately fishes her out and picks the seaweed off of her while Arcee is in a daze. And Cliffjumper can’t help but hug her, ignoring her dazed expression and ignoring protocol and ignoring the fact that Arcee might shoot him. He’s just so happy to see her.

And Arcee doesn’t know what to do. Hey whole body is frozen. She wants to jump to the conclusion that this Cliffjumper is an imposter, but the faded and dented armor would beg to differ. And…the missing horn. The one that she held onto and put under a memorial on top of their base. She remembered its shape, and the cut, and how it matched the scarring on Cliffjumper. She touches the place where the horn should be and can’t help but start to cry. She apologizes to Cliffjumper, and Cliffjumper is stunned as he releases his hold on her. What do you mean you’re apologizing?! And Arcee states that she lost his horn when the base blew up.

And Cliffjumper can’t help but start laughing and getting emotional too before the two embrace once more. Optimus arrives on the scene and is just relieved Arcee didn’t shoot Cliffjumper on reflex.

so its actually interesting you ask because my boyfriend and I are planning on spending more time together for the month of november, I'm working on a lot of projects this december, not just on this blog but irl! I'm going to be working out more often, trying to get in better shape, and im considering participating in hypnovember but im not sure!

So I actually did try to design this guy more today, since I had time during work

He still does not have a name, I don’t know what to call him

This was my original sketches on cardboard sheet before trying to sketch him out here

Ngl, think it looked better during the initial sketching/planning phase in my head than the final product. But I do have general ideas of where everything in his robot mode is, I just need to perfect it

Like the top of the bike being on his shoulders I think works, I just need to separate it and not make it look weird and tacked on

If I had to try and explain where the parts are, the top of the bike is his shoulders, the front makes up his torso, the wheel cover being like in that lower area, the bottom of the bike is his arms, his seat is on his back, the rest of the bike’s back makes up his legs, as well as the wheels, and then his mirrors are like at the top of his back, you just can’t see them

Also I think I’m too used to trying to draw TF One designs, because he’s got more of a plating on a black base going on than what Earthspark has, which has a lot more of the parts just being full shapes and blocks. I mean he’s gonna have black for the seat part, but still, a bit too reminiscent of TFO designs when it’s supposed to be ES

I also changed the helmet because I was having trouble with understanding its anatomy. I know I like the antennae more in the second, but I think some things might still need work, particularly the crest bit, since it might be too plain as is

I also don’t know if I want to keep this color scheme? I like the blue, but I also feel like maybe it’s too much of the same color, and I also don’t know if I like the pink accents. Maybe it reminds me too much of TFP Arcee

Like I said, more work required, this is just what I have today

Also when I was going out to work today, I saw a motorbike parked outside my dorm that I really liked and wanted to use as a reference, but I didn’t know the owner to ask permission. But I did later find that bike on pictures online, and honestly I feel like using them as my references for his alt mode now

I just didn’t do that here because the red scooter was already on the page

I could also maybe use it for his color reference? But maybe the white should be replaced with something else, closer to his parents

Speaking of which, I think I need to figure out his actual personality and deal more now. I said I wanted him just chill and drama-less, but that was when he was more a concept with no one timeline he was part of. I think I actually need to consider his background and what he might be doing, and thus figure out his personality

It’s ironic when I think about it; he’s probably the most defined of my OCs design wise, even if I need to work out his kinks, but he’s the least defined character wise. I guess that’s the trade off

Having Prowl in tfp would certainly be an experience. I can see him immediately trying to dispose of the Scraplets in Scrapheap and him and Fowler working together to take out M.E.C.H as soon as possible. I can also see him trying to comfort Ratchet during the events of Stronger, Faster. He probably understands why Ratchet felt the need to do more, after all he mostly stays in base and the best he can do is patch them up, it’s logical that he wants to do more but he doesn’t understand why he felt like he isn’t doing enough. Ratchet is obviously vital to the team, he’s doing more than enough by keeping them alive. He understands his worries for supplies and energon but other than that, the rest confuses Prowl. I feel like he’d also try and comfort Miko during the events of TMI. They may not get along but Miko’s desperation reminds him of himself when he tried to save Bluestreak. So even when he knows it’s useless, he tries to help.

Also as an idea, whenever there’s a party Prowl wouldn’t join because loud noises and stuff and he’d go to Optimus if there’s no work to be done. Sometimes during these quiet moments he becomes a pillar for Optimus to lean against, knowing that even his leader needed moments of vulnerability. The war has gone on for so long, Cybertron is dead and Megatron has become more dangerous. And Prowl is willing to do anything to protect the autobots and the planet he grew to love, even if it means taking on more than what he can manage.

i personally see that prowl could be a character that joins the team by season 2, by the beginning, for example, or alongside smokey, but having him early on would be great too! for many reasons

fowler would obviously be happy with prowl. well, in his own way. a guy he can really work with on important cases, wow! like i said arcee, bee and bulk are soldiers, they don't really decide anything, they fight and look after kids. ratchet is always busy with the state of the base and the health of those around him, he's op's deputy, but more of a keeper and relayer of information, and optimus is always occupied with his leadership pursuits and the decepticon menace. prowl as a character would be a great bridging with the human's government/military/etc on daily basis. and in fact he could be used to relieve ratchet's workload, bc this poor grandpa is really the only one doing something useful here (and still blames himself for being supposedly ballast, my shaylaaa), he and prowl could share some of the duties between them, haha :D he could help with different problems at the base, keeping in touch with other people and keeping the team in order nd so on, and so on. again. this crew needs more brains

about ratchet part. i... don't really agree with this? let me explain! yeah, it's a shame no one noticed how ratchet felt more and more depressed every day about not being able to help on the battlefield. it's pretty clear why it happened that way, prime is busy with his prime stuff (though he still tried to support him) and other bots are busy with kids. but i don't know how much prowl could have been helpful in that situation. ratchet was clearly consumed by his feelings at that point and prowl is not much of a feeling guy. he also prefers to observe first and if he does act, he prefers to act logically and detachedly. he won't be able to help much here. yeah, he'd be the type to pay more attention to the condition of others, but out of a desire to keep things under control and in better shape, he'd definitely notice ratchet's problems, share his concerns with prime, but that would hardly get them anywhere. i think it would take time for him to let go of the self he had become during the war and allow himself to... become lighter in spirit? freer? how to say it... well to change like others did. yk? it seems to me that over the course of the show prowl would have gone from acting strictly by the book at all times and in every instance to becoming softer. the war made him cynical, suspicious, every bot got tougher, but earth helped them to overcome these hard sides. he would see the beauty in imperfection, would allow himself to let the past go, to just live. earth showed exactly that to the tfp team, showed that even in the darkest hour there are reasons to keep going, not just fight and fight over and over again. so i don't think he could have done any emotional help in the first season. but further on the story? yes, gradually, changing over time. miko, for example, and the toxicity/hurt eps. both arcee and prowl could have helped miko with getting through the bulkhead situation, since they both knows what it's like to lose someone. who knows, maybe if there were two of them, she wouldn't have acted so impulsively? of course she wouldn't have listened to them right away, it's miko we're talking about. that "mission" with wheeljack had been emotional and furious, it couldn't have not happen, it's in her style. and it hadn't helped her stop feeling hurt, it hadn't changed anything, but she wouldn't understand why without the support from her friends. and here could be the moment when prowl realised that sometimes you have to fall back on your usual way of acting, not to think in terms of war alone all the time, but just to be and feel and all and, oops, lost my thought...

ANYWAY. last thing. despite his loyalty to op i don't think he would have been able to stay as collected and calm as usual at the end of season 2. and here i see a storytelling problem. i think sometimes he's not working as a part of the team for me (even if i would love to see him here) - i think he and ratchet would be too similar characters at times. especially here. certainly more conflicts in the group the more interesting the story, but i do see too much similarity in their behaviour. the main difference is ratchet exploding emotionally and forgetting about children and their duties to earth, feeling sorry for himself and his home, prowl would be lost in his own logic - yes, taking care of those we've taken responsibility for is the right thing to do, the outcome of the battle is correct, we need to save what's still living, not what's already dead, but we're lost so much and to add that to it? it would be so hard for him to stay supportive. prowl was in the op's place, he had to make a similar decision, he knows what it's like to sacrifice for the good of the majority, but it doesn't make it hurt less

I've thought about redeeming Starscream and his brothers here and there somehow. But I think the problem I have with TFP Screamer is he is SOOOOO power hungry.

I think even in season 3 when he got whipped into shape and started being a proper lieutenant, I have no doubt he would snuff out Megatrons spark if he got the chance. I cant see him being loyal to anyone but himself. Or even really believing in anyone else or any other cause.. it feels like he just wants all the power for himself and to do what he wants.

Now if I'm wrong here please correct me- if it actually seems really in character for Screamer (AND his two brothers) to get a redemption arc/proper second chance in TFP then I'm willing to give it a go! :000 I thought it would be fun for them to be a thorn in Megatrons side as stupid lieutenants but an Autobot redemption arc is something I'm always willing to explore! :)))

I think you're right actually, in my opinion I think Ratchet would have a better understanding of internet memes than any other bot.

Some people might think Bee would understand better. But the truth is him and Ratchet are both cybertronians. Just because Bee is younger doesn't mean he automatically has a more based sense of humor. Their level of understanding of internet humor boils down to how much of the internet they have been exposed to. Which I think Ratchet has had the most exposure.

Not that's not to say he really understands it or finds it all funny. But its more like-

Arcee: "What... what even is this image. What am I looking at..??"

Ratchet: "Ah, that is another one of those "meme" things. It is meant to be a humorous image that humans send to each other to make them laugh."

Monster trucks are not in demolition derby's- <:0 Monster trucks are in Monster Jams and demolition derby's consist of normal sized cars.

As for the separate events, They wouldn't want to be in a demolition derby, cuz that would be painful 💀 but I'm sure a lot of them would have fun watching it :00

And none of them would be able to participate in a Monster Jam even if they wanted to. The bots that would be interested don't have a big enough frame to transform int a monster truck :( but they could at least watch them! Just like Bulkhead and Miko! :)

I imagine that would be very irresponsible of them XD so much for laying low. But I can see Vega, Miata and Zippy daydreaming about it. 😅

Actually now that you mention this, all 4 of the factual fam couldn't walk at first after becoming a drawing.

I always meant to draw comics over time of them slowly getting better and better at walking. But never got around to it.

In present day I guess I can say all that development was behind the scenes and they can all walk just fine now <XD

I don't think they'd pull any pranks on me of any kind. They wouldn't want to upset or confuse me in anyway. But boy would they probably mess with each other XDD Jangles and Cici especially.

I couldn't really put the gifs in this ask post <XD but I've always imagined trying to animate my fam and I wanted them to be very smooth and soft looking. Like Disney animation or something James Baxter would animate.

Bibi and Cici especially, smooth and flowy :0 Maybe someday I'll try to animate that....
