Only in Ohio
So in July of this year I moved to Ohio and then in like August or September I started coming down with chest colds. I haven't been sick in years since I was a kid, mind you.
Everyday was hell.I had to do all these deep breaths and turn my head and move my jaw in certain ways just to get a breath in.It sucked major ass.
I thought it was just cold and flu season screwing with me.Also I'm originally from the South so I'm not really used to northern temperatures and whatnot.
Eventually it got so bad I had to get an inhaler just to get my damn lungs to do their job. Inevitably I got better and life went on.
Then I got COVID and was back in my Asthmatic Hot Girl era™️.Fun!
I got better tho.
I'm still having trouble with breathing every now and then.I'm still wondering if maybe my body still isn't used to Ohio weather yet or if maybe I've got asthma now(Respiratory issues run in my family)and should probably go see a doctor about it.
Idk. Had anyone else gotten constantly ill after moving to a new state?

HELL FUCKING YES
I'd like to send an extremely heartfelt thank you to everyone who voted no on Issue 1, and an equally heartfelt go fuck yourselves and die mad about it to the Ohio GOP and everyone who voted yes.

Just a reminder to pray for Ohio tomorrow!
I had to look it up and for those who don't know:
If approved, the amendment, titled "The Right to Reproductive Freedom with Protections for Health and Safety," would protect any person or entity that helps a patient receive reproductive medical treatment and prohibit Ohio from "directly or indirectly burdening, penalizing or prohibiting abortion" before viability, generally considered to be between 22 and 24 weeks of pregnancy.
The proposal allows the state to ban abortion after viability, except when it is considered necessary to protect the life and health of the mother.
So Issue 1 will allow abortions up until 22-24 weeks. For those in Ohio, make sure you vote against this. Let's hope the state citizens don't let this pass.

Have you ever thought about what language(s) the states speak outsude of english? Recently its been drilling holes in my brain.
If you have, what language(s) do you think they speak?
:]
Well, I haven't paid it a lot of thought in the past, but you bet I'm gonna now! (Though, little disclaimer for everyone reading: most of this stuff isn't based on anything historical, and the stuff that is, I didn't fact check, so- this is just for fun, do not educate yourself based on my posts)
Well, of course there's the generic Florida and California speak Spanish, Loui speaks French... is Spanish-speaking Texas canon? If it's not, yes it is /j
Michigan speaking Arabic is definitely canon
Uh, Hawaii speaks Hawaiian, but that should go without saying
Florida probably speaks Haitian, too, because of that video where he got all protective of his Haitian citizens (iconic move on his part, I can't believe I actually agree with something he said)
Perhaps New York speaks Dutch- I'm pretty sure New York used to be Dutch
Oh, I just remembered, I have this map saved on my phone:
New Mexico probably speaks Navajo- I bet he's pals with Navajo Nation ("oh yeah, Navajo Nation is suing you" ICONIC, that whole video is wonderful, but anyway)
It'd be funny if Ohio speaks Arabic, too, so he and Michigan can argue in Arabic and no one else knows what they're saying (except Tennessee and/or Iowa?? because according to this random map on the internet, Arabic is at least the third most spoken language in those states??)
I feel like California would be the type of guy to learn a whole bunch of languages on Duolingo, but as soon as he's faced with a native speaker he has no idea what to say
That's all I've got off hand- thanks for the ask :D
