All of these actors are either too old, dead, or probably uninterested in taking the role for one reason or another.

ALF News!
So today, it was announced that this Saturday (July 29), an ALF marathon will be running on Ryan Reynold's Maximum Effort channel.
But...There's more.
There will be commercials inserted into the marathon which are called "Maximum Moments", and it features new footage of ALF and his new caretaker, Eric (Tanner?). The commercials are basically like a modern reboot of the ALF sitcom, and they're pretty good.
Link for the commercials: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yqjUxGb3DkQ
Tumblr media
An article from Collider reporting about the commercials: https://collider.com/alf-maximum-effort-channel/
I'm pretty excited for this. In the article above, Reynolds says something about "Bringing ALF back to life". Can't wait to see if they do anything else with the franchise and the character!
P.S.
In one of the commercials, Eric says that Gordon is over 300 years old. Canonically, Gordon was born on October 28, 1756, which makes him 266. Why do I care about the correctness of this commercial? I have no idea. But please, Paul Fusco, Ryan Reynolds, Shout Factory TV, if you're planning on rebooting this sitcom, get his age correct. It kinda bothers me that its not correct, so I just wanted to put it out there.

Enjoy some cursed podfic, everyone! (Please, seriously, read the tags on this one. It IS crack fiction, but some of the subject matter is a little.....)
:) anyway, enjoy a good laugh, in your in the humor for some wacky good fun. And all's well that ends well in this one.
"The Eric Factory" was written by JoseyxNeko on Ao3 (https://archiveofourown.org/works/52358758) . Go give her some love for it, won't you? She's got a lot of other great (crack and non-crack) fics, too!
Very Respectfully,
SkyAsimaru

Lmaooo yes
The way I see it people w mysterious pasts usually fall into 1 of 2 categories:
Reveals bits and pieces of weird shit that's happened and none of it makes sense
Just straight up refuses to elaborate. On anything.
Eric is absolutely 1
James is 2 usually unless it's embarrassing. As a little petty siblingness
