Thanks so much for your help in populating Pix’s office! This is one of the more involved shots from the animatic I’ve been working on and I wanted to pack it with as many details as possible. Any suggestions that didn’t make it into this shot will probably end up in the one set in the Museum!

I painted most of this in the airport on my way to meet up in person with the other mods of @mcytblrsexymen — spent a weekend touring museums and hanging out with @/theminecraftbee, @/magicalmanhattanproject, and like a dozen more tumblr friends and mutuals 😆 It was my first time in the USA! I got my purse stolen and lost all my IDs and money and my epipen! (My first mistake was being too gay in the Smashburger, it’s a long story. It’s okay though, I’m getting things replaced now that I’m back in Canada ✨🇨🇦)

I have so many feelings about the Moon Crash. Like, narrative-wise, it hits me so hard, man. Joe told Cleo to leave them, yes, but the sign... It's intriguing to imagine it as a test that Cleo failed.

I mean, Joe's been there from the beginning. It's reasonable to assume that they've seen many people leave and it's reasonable to assume that there could be a insecurity (/rp) there about it. With the context that Hermitcraft is real life, Joe might be scared (at least subconsciously, no matter how irrational) that people are leaving because of them, that— despite no evidence —there're 'not enough' for people to stay... which leads to Joe being reckless and using the Moon Crash to test to see if Cleo would leave them in a clearly dangerous situation.

And they failed, not because Cleo didn't understand it was dangerous, but because Cleo trusts Joe. Cleo trusted Joe, even when they didn't want to, even when Joe really just wanted their support.

In Hermittopia, did Joe even know they could go back if things got dangerous, that Cleo exiled them— yes, because they were being a little dumb and self-destructive (because who hands out resumés to clearly dangerous people and steals a horn license without being a little self-destructive?) but also —for the bit? Like, narrative-wise, Cleo's actions could be interpreted as both a messed up joke and an urge for Joe to take some time to think.

Joe, as a character, is as kind as they are reckless, especially with their own health, and as a character, liberties can be taken with how their actions and behaviour reflect on themself in a 'Minecraft is real life' context. Yes, Hermits helping Hermits is very sweet, but when you literally live in a trash can that you even struggled to find a place for because nobody left room for you after you spent so long helping someone, only for them to thank you and leave everything behind like it was a stepping stone, after your team had been forgotten and left out of closing ceremony without a second thought until it was too late... and that whole permit thing with Doc...

I have a lot of feelings and thoughts, as you can see.

Narratively speaking, Joe gives and gives and gives— They give so much and seem content to fade into the background, be taken for granted (well, that's exaggerating, but when you're always pushing yourself to give so much, it's normal to feel bitter, even when you're the one pushing yourself to do it). It's ok to want attention, of course. Joe thrives on attention, but without proper communication, it can fall flat quickly. Humiliation can help one learn, and as a content creator, Joe knows what they signed up for. As a character? That's free game.

A decade is a long time, after all, and it's certainly enough time for miscommunication to happen. In a game, it's not so bad, but when that game is real life?

Well, that's the fun of storytelling!

after a long LONG time, i've finished up mime's character sheet!

Knowledge Domain Cleric 15

i was gonna wait to post this but i'm currently trapped in airport purgatory so i have time to write this all out

more below the cut!

Wisdom needed to be cranked bc cleric but I knew I wanted Intelligence to be high as well. After that it was just luck of the dice since I roll the ability scores. I didn't put tooooo much thought into how I scored the other abilities- just knew I didn't want charisma lowest bc I personally find Mime funny af.

So sorry for how huge that photo is- taking a screenshot of a non-multiclass spell list is HARD. Any spell that says "Always Prepared" came with the Knowledge Domain and honestly I think they're all spells I would've picked for Mime anyways. They emphasize organization, scouting, and acquiring intel aka Mime's spreadsheet nonsense. In terms of playability spells that a cleric needs, I picked Guidance, Resistance, Spare the Dying, Bless, Cure Wounds, Enhance Ability (also inspired by Captain Mime leading HBG through bedrock MCC), Mass Healing Word, Revivify, Spirit Guardians (fun fact my fav spell in the game), Mass Cure Wounds, and Heal. Speedrunning related spells include Detect Magic, Locate Object, Locate Creature, Divination, Find the Path, and Plane Shift. For other picks we've got Sending (just like sending chat messages in game), Banishment (generally just a good spell to have- sends something to another dimension), Flame Strike (I realized he didn't have many damage spells + his mini has fire in it), Create Undead (deadass minecraft zombies is the only connection here), and Word of Recall (fully acts like a stasis pearl/pearl hang- teleports you/allies to a previous location).

This is what he's got equipment wise. In MY mind that Hat of Disguise is a beret so that's what it's gonna be. Face paint is annoyingly not an item so I've got the Marvelous Pigments and the Disguise kit as a janky dupe for mime face paint. Wings of Flying = elytra there's not really much more I can say there. Crystal Ball and the Atlas are both spreadsheet-esque research based items which inspired their pick. The mace is partially because he needed a weapon other than the cleric's starter weapon and partially because that specific mace is closest to the super cool gothic one on his mini.

Here are some class features from the Knowledge Domain! The domain as a whole/the spells are more why I chose knowledge but the class features aren't unfitting for Mime either. Knowledge of the Ages specifically is a feature I like- Mime typically has his shit together on all fronts.

This is the first time the background I picked has taken any effect on the character sheet (and I just bought a new sourcebook so suddenly I have a lot more options lmao). This Researcher feature just screams Mime to me.

That's the finished character sheet! I'm not entirely sure who's gonna be next. The campaign is taking a TON of work and I've barely made any progress so that may take a lil more focus than character sheets. I will say I have druid K4 in the back of my mind so possibly that next? We'll see! Hope y'all liked this :)

Primarchs playing Mario Cart? I have a hilarious imagine in my head about the state of the room afterwards(spoiler alert: its covered in feather because some of our more feral darlings ended up attacking each other and bit into pillows instead)

Mario Kart is most violent game know to man.... As such, they HAVE to play it.

Horus: Play Bowser. Respectable ranking, usually in the top 5, but has the nasty habit of bodying everyone.

Roboute: Play Luigi. Use shell as defence only mid pack, he's pretty bad at drifting. Insist that the fun is in playing.

Angron: Play Donkey Kong. Not a sore looser, but he does fly into unholy rage if he fall off road. He had a gamecube controller, and flug it across the room

Sanguinius: play Daisy, and was first, until he got blue shelled. He is now screaming, trying to figure out who did it.

Lorgar: He was actually third with Toad, but got hit by Angron controller. He's bleeding now.

Leman: Play Wario. He's terrible at at, and has resorted to elbowing people in an attempt to get a good ranking.

Magnus: Play Rosalina. Is pretty low in ranking, because he's trying to use his psyker power to hack the machine. Would be doing much better if he just PLAYED it.

Rogal: Play Koopa. Does not understand why the game involve littering fruit peels on the public freeway. Has taken upon himself to clear the streets of the dangerous banane peels.

Vulkan: Play Yoshi. Terribly bad at it, the controller is too small in his hand. He was the one that blue shelled Sang, he had no idea what it did. Trying to be very quiet.

Mortarion: Shy Guy. He actually slowdown to look at the background animations and details. Is actually having a pretty good time.

Ferrus: Metal Mario. He wanted to play SSB. Keep complaining that fighting game are more fun than racing one.

Fulgrim: Play Peach. Doesn't really like video game. Decide to try and help bleeding Lorgar, since the blood was getting in his sexy peach cosplay.

Konrad: Play as Isabelle (huge Animal crossing fan). Constantly goes of course. Eventually find a spot with the item block and stay hidden there to attack people with red shell. Finish last.

Corvus: big time player with inkling. Snatch the victory from Sang and jump to her feet screaming in victory. Immediately get tackled by Sang, they are now fighting.

Lion: Play Waluigi. Does not understand the point of video game. Does okay, but then just wander off with the popcorn bowl.

Jaghatai: managed to finish second with Baby bowser. Would have been first if Konrad mysterious red shell had not been there. Ready to commit violence.

Alpharius Omegon: They wanted to play Double Dash. Everyone said no. They are waiting for the most dramatic moment to "accidentally" turn off the wifi.

Perturabo: did not play with them all, instead he's sitting in the corner playing minecraft with Forrix. Probably the one that had rhe most fun that night.

Honestly this page was a lot of fun, I love recreating areas in gaming a lot, so this was a lot of fun with the whole playing around with multiple universes in smash to give the idea that the Inkling girl just can't hit a shot.

Of note:

I like to think that Inkling Girl's first mistake was skipping Sheldon's explanation. Like, I get it, but his bios do give you a hint of how the thing is supposed to work. Just because you're familiar with a thing it doesn't mean you should skip the manual.

I could have straight up taken a picture of Mementos, but I instead re-drew the whole bit (if anything I just reused a re-draw of the main mementos map which I have done in a previous drawing project). I honestly do not skip steps, if I can recreate a thing for the shot, I'll go out of my way to do it. It makes things look more seamless and in-line with the drawings as a whole if I do everything from scratch, though I'm not above re-using previous drawing assets if I can get away with it (since the mementos map never really changes, I can just reuse that isolated re-draw I have).

If you want it for whatever reason, here it is.

Oh, by the by, I kinda based Joker's render off his appearence in Tactica since that had been recently released by the time I was doing the drawing. I do like the tactica renders so I may base the persona characters off that to simplify them a bit style-wise.

I know WarioWare being used for Samus is a bit of an odd choice, but I figured I could just do a simpler area rather than going with either Norfair (all that lava would get in the way of the ORANGE paint), Brinstar (same, but Yellow) or Frigate Orpheon (I didn't really need the parasite queen in the background). Adding Pikachu in was a later idea just to highlight how much she's missing the shot.

Dedede and a Pikmin laying down was funny enough already, but here's a bit of hilarity I thought about (and I know that explaining the joke ruins it, but you know, this is supposed to be a commentary): this is flat zone, it's entirely 2D, the inkling girl somehow missed the shot even when you only needed to aim left or right.

I like Minecraft a lot, but when DRAWING the universe its a bit dull if everything is just cubes. So while I totally can do that I just choose to make a stylized version that is semi-cubey for most everything. Though Alex I prefer to go full proportions.

Alex being more human proportioned does bring some challenges since I do want her to look like a country bumpkin of sorts, so this comic helped me finalize how I would do it. Honestly its kind of based on how artist Peargor does it. Though I'm gonna go with a longer braid and some freckles.

I do largely prefer Alex over Steve though, so you'll likely see her whenever I involve minecraft on my drawings. If I were to draw steve though? I'd likely make him buff. I tend to think of Alex as the builder/farmer (which is my playstyle) whereas Steve is the adventurer (how my friends play the game).

I didn't actually borrow any textures from Minecraft, they were self made. Which is kind of why they're kind of shit.

Honestly drawing the regular Charger was a bit of a thing. The Splatoon weaponry can be very complex in its detailing so for the first few panels it was kind of traced. Over time I just did it on my own for later panels.

Tracing isn't a bad practice, just as long as you don't pass an entirely traced work as your own. Trace responsibly kids, it helps learn how to do a thing.

- Lasko has stretch marks, specially over his stomach and thighs because of anxiety (he gains and loses weight really fast and constantly)

- Gavin has top scars: he could get rid of them but he likes them because it reminds him of who he wants to be.

- David lost once in a game and was dared to put on a maid dress. He never did it again (much to Angel's dismay)

- Gavin will always leave some kind of mark on Freelancer, specially hickeys. At least one and always visible.

- When Tank has a nightmare, they usually mutter things and almost instantly wrap around Sam's arm for comfort.

- Damien and Huxley have a lot of matching things, from necklaces to rings, clothes, hats. They even have matching colored nails.

- Caelum likes to teach Gavin how to play Minecraft and even have a cooperative world with different rooms for the three of them fully decorated.

- Lasko, Guy and Asher secretly love when you push them against a wall to shut them up with a kiss. Doesn't matter your height, if you put enough force to make them stumble back, they're yours fr.

- The morning after, Sam has woken up to several bite marks and scratches from Darlin' all over his body and has he tried to cover them up. It didn't work.

- Aaron had to learn a variety of languages because of work and one of them is Korean, the thing is Smartass doesn't know why it turns them on hearing him.

- If any of the D.A.M.N crew had tattoos, Caelum would definitely use markers to paint on the designs.

- Gavin and Freelancer have had matching hair color at least once.

- Whenever Sweetheart has an anxiety attack/panic attack they unconsciously cloak so they have enough room for their emotions.

- If Cutie feels like they've stepped over boundaries with their partner, Geordie will always find them on the same bench of a park nearby, just looking around trying to make a good apology.

- Elliot likes to take pictures of Sunshine at the 'golden hour' because he says it matches their nickname.

- Avior and Starlight deal with the whole 'Hell' situation by taking care of lots of plants. They sit with a cup of coffee and talk with some soft music in the background, it gives them the sense of normalcy they craved back then.

- Sam has a special plaid shirt that he always gives Darlin' when they need comfort. Then he sees a sleepy wolf hanging around the house with just that shirt and underwear on.

- David, Darlin', Milo and Asher have definitely slept shifted like a pile of wolfs and it was surprisingly comfortable.

- Damien has dreamed several times about getting married.

- Sam and Angel have lots of secretly taken photos of David and Darlin' being cute in their wolf forms that only they can see.

- Guy has definitely tried playing Twister while drunk but constantly fell over Honey who was just trying to pass through the living room.

- Before Lasko having a listener, Freelancer and Gavin would always leave clean clothes for him the next morning, a cup of coffee and a goodbye kiss for the day.

- Deviant is always being showered in praise of their body. Gavin can always tell when they're not feeling themselves and is quick to barge in with the sweetest and most genuine comments.

- Vincent was that one loud ass kid that would always cry if another kid took away the toy he was playing with.

- Babe is always accompanied by Asher whenever they have to use an elevator. Since the first time it eases them to know they're together just like when they first met.

Tango braced his hands against the table and leaned heavily on them, closing his eyes. A headache was throbbing behind them and he felt wiped.

“Again,” Doc remarked, not looking up from the project he was working on. Some robot for automation that looked completely custom-made.

“What do you mean, ‘again’?” Tango demanded around haggard breathing. “I’ve been doing this for hours. My powers have limits, you know!” A slight sheen of frost crept away from his hands where they were on the table.

Doc finally looked up, his cybernetic red eye glowing. His face impassive. “Oh? Is that what you’re going to say when Lore has your former friends corner you? When you’re backed up against a wall after a long fight and feel like you have nothing left to give. You’re just going to tell them to give you a free pass to get away because your powers are exhausted and you can’t fight back?” Doc stood. “Do you even know what the full limits of your powers are? Have you tried to use them until nothing but a single snowflake comes from your hand? Or have you been a coward and stopped before you truly reached your limit? Have you dug deep into yourself and dredged up the full iceberg?”

“Stop it,” Tango muttered. “Rhetoricals get us nowhere.”

“These aren’t rhetorical, Tango.”

That caught his attention. Doc never called him Tango. It was always Deepfrost, even here. In the Perimeter. Where Tango had shed Deepfrost’s coat for months to get away from that life for a while.

“Have you plumbed into the depths of your powers completely?”

Tango remembered his darkness flickering out while Arctic Fox pinned him to the mat by the throat in training, almost five years ago. The ice dying off his hands. “Once,” he said. “I’d rather not do it again.”

Doc tsked. He flung his cybernetic, prosthetic arm.

The robot’s arm lashed, striking Tango across the chest and throwing him backward. He crashed into the wall and fell to the floor. “What the hell, Doc?” He picked himself back to his feet. “What was that for?”

“Again. And if you don’t want to do it on your own, maybe some outside stimulus will be enough for you to draw on what’s left of your power.”

Tango cocked one arm back and thrust it forward, sending a spray of frozen shards toward Doc.

Who lifted his cybernetic arm to block his face—an energy shield of red light springing into existence from it. He chuckled. “Not bad, as a last-ditch effort,” he remarked, his accent not quite as thick for a moment.

“I’ll show you last-ditch,” Tango spat. He held both arms out and hurled an icicle the size of a human at that energy shield.

The point shattered—but also broke the shield. The rest of the icicle barreled into Doc, sending him staggering back. Tango didn’t stop. His eyes ached as the sclera swam to black and a bubble of darkness exploded out of him with an echo of his heartbeat. Doc’s eye had thermal vision and could pierce the darkness, but Tango dropped to the ground around lab equipment and cooled himself off so that his body heat wouldn’t be seen.

Given his powers, he already ran several degrees colder than normal. His skin was always frigid to the touch. But he was still warm enough to register on a thermal view. He was still human. Just… a human with ice powers.

Bean and nothingness

I watched Patricia Taxxon's video on Bean and nothingness. I haven't played the game, but now it's on my list. I would have Clicked off earlier, but I accidentally skipped to phase 2.5 in an attempt to avoid solutions - there is nothing more annoying than a spoiled solution set on your first go. But there I found myself encapsulated by my own pursuit of study: Math. It was here that I pushed forward because well, no one talks about this subject and its worth hearing people out even if they need to hand you a solution set.

Both of these videos Patricia Taxxon's and a prerequisite video by Owen Maitzen serve as an introduction to the world of math in videogames. Not the math used to make the videogames. Not the animation math or the math that gives physics. Not even math that gives you those god tier minecraft graphics. They detail the math that describes the games themselves.

Owen's Work does a bulk of the mathematical heavy lifting. It's the fundamental building block that Taxxon Needed to start this essay because - An assuming that Taxxon doesn't have a math background - the hidden piece for so many students is that math is "useful" Because we made it to be, but this isn't math's nature.

It's here where Taxxon really come into its own because she is able to see through the numbers and actually describe what about beans and nothingness was inspired by the act of mathematics-ing. At 28:30 In Its video, Taxxon talks about how she solved a specific puzzle by building up familiarity with small pieces enough to build a solution to that problem while also going back to see if that solution was unique[that there is one and only one solution] and then find the others. So much of the video talks about the structure of mathematics. Its components, and how and why mathematicians do what they do. it [both the video and Taxxon] loves math and even without numbers it[both the video and Taxxon] knows math. I really can't express how much I love this video or how much I adore Taxxon for seeing all of this and putting it all into words.

One of the things about being a mathematician is that people inevitably ask you why are you doing this. Why Is there a difference between an answer and a solution. Why do you have to generalize everything. Why does it matter that the question isn't defined for numbers greater than two? And mathematicians are pretty grizzled from the fact that they have had hundreds of years to come up with a good answer to the question "why be a mathematician?' and we still come up with nothing, because people respond to "I want to study math because I love math" with comments about usefulness and money and capitalism and all sorts of things. Patricia Taxxon was right about academia and thus math a form of art, but I think we can expand that a bit. Math is an act of creation and discovery. That is the fun part. Sometimes you play with other people's constraints and sometimes you play with your own and when you get stuck you work through it. It ties into A mathematics lament by Paul Lockhart. math gets really weird when you go off of the beaten trail. Not all arithmetic has to work like it does. Some arithmetic can be non-commutative[ab does not equal ba]. Arithmetic has other properties that we can take for granted. so much of what we perceive as math, is the math we have taken for granted or allowed ourselves to think of as the total math and not a subset.

What makes Patricia Taxxon's video Imporant is the fact that she is so kind and cheerful about it all. This is a new discovery. It loves the math and wants you to join in that participation as well. Taxxon has a glee about this that I don't think I could muster even though we both share a love of math. I don't think I want to talk about "what is math?" anymore with younger college students because what every expression of love for math I can scrounge up will ultimately come with harsh, reductive tones even when I truly love the subject I talk about. and its important that people see this and talk about it.

If you want to start learning math I recommend the Book of Proofs by Richard Hammock. Trust me its a book that only requires arithmetic to get started. there is algebra, but early on it's skippable. youll find a copy of the pdf free on his website and at low cost through normal sources.

Just remember to skip chapter 3 on your first go around (or don't) and then possably the chapter covering calculus proofs.

Dress to Impress

I have been playing video games for a long time now ever since I was about 4 or 5. Being raised as a girl I have always gravitated towards more customizable games such as dress up games or decor games. My favorites while growing up have been Animal Jam, Minecraft, The Sims 4 and of course Roblox. I remember staying up past my bedtime as an 8 year old driven to raise enough money to buy furniture for my Adopt Me house(a popular game on Roblox). Just a year ago I had an obsession with the Sims 4 and customizing my Sims to perfection, researching custom content online and even making some of my own... well at least trying to. I would spend hours on these games a day hoping to express my personality through customization and art in these games. All of these games have aspects where you can customize your characters or where you live in the games. My passion is in art and I wanted to originally make my Blog about my AP 2D art experience, but I find art in many forms of Media as well. I want to be a game designer after all. Finding well made games is a feeling of excitement and passion that can't be described.

One new game that has single handedly brought me back into my gaming addiction is the Roblox game Dress to Impress. In this game you are given a theme and your job is to create an outfit in 5 in a half minute that is both aesthetically pleasing and on theme. There is a selection of trendy and interesting clothing pieces, accessories, and props that you can choose from. You can change certain aspects of these clothing pieces and change your hair, face, and skintone allowing you to be creative in every aspect.

Sounds super simple and it's not like other games on Roblox haven't followed this same idea. But DTI(Dress to Impress) does it in a way that makes the game stand out. Whether you are playing alone or with friends, you will be sitting at your computer for hours. The numbers don't lie, with over 2 Billion visits and an overall rating of 91% the influence of DTI cannot go unseen. Celebrities have even been caught playing the game, even though its expected audience is 10-16 year old girls. This game has caught the attention of many.

Now, what is so special about a Roblox dress-up game you may be asking. And to that I can give you many reasons. One reason is how user friendly and accessible the game is. The game is hosted on Roblox, a free to play game that you can play on mobile, pc and even some consoles. This allows for anyone to play DTI easily. The game is also pretty easy to play mechanically. You walk around a room and choose items from mannequins. You vote on others outfits on a scale of 1-5 stars. Then a new round begins after a short intermission. This allows the game to have constant rounds and constant things to do in the game. Having an easy to play game that is accessible and free to play is a perk of hosting a game on Roblox.

Another reason can be the celebrity collabs in the game. The most recent collab was a collab with Charli XCX, a popular pop singer from the UK who dropped an album this summer named Brat. Dubbing the summer of 2024 "Brat Summer". This collab brought new Brat themed items into the game and even the background music of the game was Charli XCX's work. Not too many veteran players liked this collaboration very much because they felt like it took a lot of creativity out of the game. The collab was taken out after a few weeks but the items were kept. This collaboration highlighted the reach of DTI and definitely solidified the game into the mainstream.

Now what do I like about the game? I love how customizable the characters are. I love the selection of clothes and how regular the updates are. There is always new content and there is always something bringing me back. I also love playing with my friends and seeing their outfits on the runway. I have great memories of me and my friends judging others outfits and voting each other 5 stars so we can up our ranks. I love the inside jokes of the community and how creative people are. I also feel like I can almost practice my style by creating outfits in the game.

Although I love this game I do have some critice. For one the voting system is often broken. There are 3 winners at the end of the voting and often it is clear that some people do not deserve these wins. It's clear because some people on the podium have no clothes selected or hair but still manage to win. Some people are completely off theme and some amazing outfits don't even get podium. This makes the game extremely hard to win. A lot of people don't vote because they don't want you to get more stars than them. I also don't like the paywall on some items. Some items are locked behind a VIP wall that costs real money to get. There are also certain poses and makeup hidden behind paywalls. This makes the game a lot harder to win because a lot of really amazing items cost money. It seems more like a pay to win thing. You can still make great outfits with free items but it makes it hard to make your outfit have its full potential. Some users are also pretty rude when it comes to judging outfits. Rude comments about people having ugly outfits and being too basic just scream pretentious 13 year old.

Overall I love this game despite its flaws and it is where I go to relax after a long day. I have some amazing memories with friends and I love allowing myself to be creative through this game. I would recommend it for anyone who is in need of a new game addiction.

Once again managed to participated in another art telephone game. Thought it'd be fun to go for an isometric perspective, but then the characters looked too small so I added the videogame style dialogue portraits. Wish I'd had more time to work on the background, ended up having to rush the lighting especially.

The text is written in the Standard Galactic Alphabet from Commander Keen (which you may also know from Minecraft's enchanting table) because I figured actual legible text would've taken away form the mystique of the piece. I did write dialogue, but it's not too important. Feel free to translate if you've got time to kill.

Here is a bunch of artwork I made for a mate's minecraft server + lil tidbits on the creative process/what on earth it is meant to be.

Here is what could be my favorite on a... vibe level? idk its weird- it is a bee! His name is canonically bort, he has more stored energy than the entire universe, and likes roses. I am not joking, it is a wild story line.

This one is demonstrating the custom structure the server boasts, the hanging city. This is technically the first painting I started working on but it was one of the last ones I finished because I uh forgot about it.

This one took the longest actively being worked on, from concept to finalization. It shows four guardians. Yorker, the nice one, guard of life. Tycor, guard of War. Ritor, guard of storms. And finally, Tortor, guard of death. What does this matter? Nothing, at this point and time they are all dead, but it sure makes a neat portrait piece.

This one, for being described by others as the one that goes the hardest and looks the coolest, is based off the most dumb premise. There was this wither skeleton that survived a event, the admin made him talk for fun, he revealed his name was Grinkellord. That is it. That is the inspiration.

One of the other dumb inspiration ones that allegedly goes hard. This one was inspired by a photo of my girlfriend dying in lava with a physics mod installed with a funky effect layered over it.

This one has my favorite flavor out of these all. It was inspired by an underwater city me and a friend made on the server called Atlantis. Ironically, this city has been completely lost to time (despite the server owners best attempts at world backups.)

This painting pays tribute to an idea that the server owner wanted to execute but was unable to. Ancient, huge copper pipes that would litter certain parts of the worlds oceans.

This one was originally going to be an infected moon type thing, with black growths taking it over. However, as I did it, it slowly turned into this. Not really sure how but aye it looks neat.

This one is my personal favorite. It shows the time way back in 2019 when a secret lab me and a friend had got ripped out of the ground by a massive portal. Good times, those were.

And here is the server owners favorites, and I can certainly see why. I am putting them together due to how they are linked. Called "The Voyager" and "The Voyage". The Voyager shows an advanced computer that is comprised of an entire species worth of individual being stuffed into one intelligence. It is the operator of the vehicle shown in The Voyage, slowly exploring space.

This one shows the Arbiter, in his human form and his castle form in the background. It was fun messing with a low color palette like this.

And here are a bunch of ones that while still neat, I did not plan on being in the server. They were all pieces of art I had made for the server previously and the owner had just kind of put into frames and called it a day. I then took the sprites and freshened them up to be real works that work in a painting setting. Am kinda proud of myself for how much I adapted them.

THREE YOUTUBE VIDEOS I AM LOOKING FOR HELP ME FIND THEM

There are three (unrelated) youtube videos that I've been looking for for many, many years. I have applied the fullest extend of my search engine knowledge to locate these videos and have not been able to do so. If you know of any of these videos or could help me find them, please let me know.

The first video I'm looking for is actually a series, a Minecraft let's play uploaded probably around 2010 or 2011. All I remember is that the uploader had "23" in their username, and at one point in the series planted "twenty trees" outside of their Minecraft house in reference to this fact. I may have gotten some detail wrong, but that's the gist of it—I remember very clearly the phrase "twenty trees" spoken in the uploader's British accent and their repeated reference to it. This would have also been one of the earlier Minecraft let's plays on youtube; IIRC it was obscure enough at this point that the user has to explain the basic gameplay of Minecraft in the first episode, as the audience can't be expected to know.

The second video I'm looking for was also uploaded around 2010 or so (give or take a few years), by a guy talking about studying Latin and Ancient Greek. The guy had several videos about this topic on his channel, and the details I remember are as follows. In one video, he states that he learned Ancient Greek because he read a bad translation of the Iliad or the Odyssey (can't remember which; could have been another Greek or Latin epic maybe) and upon learning how wrong the translator had gotten things, vowed to never read another book in translation again. In another video, he talks about how much his Latin was improved by reading though Lingua Latina by Hans Ørberg, and how it did more for him than any traditional Latin textbook. In another video, he responded to angry comments that had been accusing him of pronouncing Latin wrong because he dropped the 't' in the word 'Latin' when speaking English; he clarified that he never dropped the 't' when speaking Latin itself and that this was just a feature of his particular English dialect. The videos were recorded in an amateurish style in this guy's house, with little editing and not especially good camera or audio equipment. As far as I can remember it wasn't like, grainy or anything, just typical of the era in being essentially very low production quality. Basically just this guy standing in front of a wall in his house talking about language learning. He may also have been studying Sanskrit, idk. I think I initially found him by googling "book like Lingua Latina for Sanskrit" or something to that effect; no such book really exists but he may have had a video discussing the topic? But don't quote me on that, it might be an inaccurate memory.

Ok, the last video I'm looking for is a specific remix of one of the songs from the anime film Your Name, uploaded in 2017 or 2018. This is the most likely of the three to actually have been taken down imo, for copyright reasons. I can't remember which song it was a remix of, maybe Zenzenzense or Nandemonaiya. I think I found it initially in one of youtube's auto-generated playlists after listening to a bunch of the music from that movie. I don't know enough about music theory or whatever to actually describe what the remix was like, but I know that the video had a background image that was fanart of the two main characters looking up at the sky, in which (I think) the comet from the movie was visible. The characters where relatively small and the view of the sky was quite large. I think the fanart was in a slightly more cutesy style than the actual art of the movie, although not to the degree of being chibi or anything.

If any of you happen to know of any of these videos, please let me know! I have been searching and searching!

LONG PERSONAL POST - BG3 AND HOW I PLAY IT (SPOILERS /gen)

Hi okay so I'm fucking insane and I NEED to tell SOMEONE because I'm being bullied to hell (deserved) by my close friends over this- I am an incredibly slow gamer and I’m very particular about how I play. Save scumming? I don’t know what you mean. Romancing literally anyone that isn't Astarion? I'm pretty sure that isn't real but a lie made up by Larian Studios to convince more people to play the game (/j). It's literally the only thing I play ever anymore.. besides Minecraft, but I digress.

I got BG3 in the middle of September (2023) through game share, and started by playing with my brother and his boyfriend with mods! I didn't get to play much of that character, but that's not the point okay. Okay the point is- a few things actually. Let me start with- 

My first time playing BG3 was modded. I played MAYBE 3 hours on that character. They were gorgeous and unfortunately they no longer exist. I spent more than half of that time making them. They were a dragonborn and I don't remember for certain? But I Think they were just a Tav, not Durge. Unfortunately their name is also lost to the cosmos :( Here are a couple of the very few pictures I have of them!

I made a few characters at first, let's say like.. 5? Two were Durge, the others Tavs. 3 of those 5 got maybe a maximum of 6 hours each, never made it into the Emerald Grove. I think.. I'm pretty sure all but 1 went through the ruins and got Withers. The 4th one, my main and New Very Cool And Awesome Black Dragonborn Barbarian Durge™ got up to!! I believe it was up to 38 hours? I had done only a few things though! I had taken care of Kagha (no kill, I convinced her to not side with the shadow druids, she didn't hurt Arabella), I had gone through and done pretty much everything in the Emerald Grove? I saved Mirkon, I saved Arabella, I played it up with Volo, I killed the squirrel, I saved the tiefling from being assassinated and got a coin out of it (sick, was completely unintentional, I didn't like her much), bought stuff from the kids and all kinds of other things- you get it. I had gone through the blighted village, went through Waukeen’s Rest (but idk if I saw the Zhentarim with this character), killed the big spider, looted so many things, killed Ethal, revived Mayrina’s husband, found infernal iron, saved Karlach after save scumming her death and getting the fire armour for Wyll but it's okay because she was Fine After- *gasp* I got her engine upgraded once, and the very very last things I did was defeat the gobbo camp then kill Minthara and Dror Ragzlin (and Gut ofc, but I killed her first). I was in the middle of the party with the tieflings! I saved before anything happened, so I didn't see the fun stuff, but uh.. yeah, I ended up resetting my game, deleting all my mods and such to play with my partner. So went the days with my darling Melaqyn :’))) I miss them all of the everyday actually. Unfortunately I can't find any pictures of them :(( so here's some pictures of another of my early dragonborns, Sesaphael (name graciously yoinked from my partner's OC).

After I lost Melaqyn (which if I'm honest, I didn't actually lose them. I just didn't have the mods anymore and really didn't want to corrupt the file) I ended up making a few random characters- by a few I mean.. like 10, but only 2 or 3 survived. I made a couple also for playing with people, which were based on my own characters, so they were a little bit special? I started a game with a DND character I had made a year or two ago, who has the Haunted One background lmao- their name is Skulk- I'd show pictures but I'm really not that proud of how they look anymore >< I kinda floated for a bit in between games- I was playing all the time, but never settling- I was genuinely mourning Melaqyn.

Determined to get back on my feet with a character for real, I made a tiefling, named them “Ammarir”. They were supposed to look a bit like me, sort of like playing myself? Just a Tav though, which I regret to be honest but! There's always more time- I've been playing Ammarir since October 4th! They’re vanilla, so it was nice to not have to worry about corrupting their file. I started playing them slow at first, in between other campaigns, but I did keep coming back to them. Here are some early game pictures!

I was very quickly falling in love with them, and as soon as the mirror got added holy SHIT- I'VE CHANGED THEIR APPEARANCE SO MUCH OVER TIME NOW- Here are a couple early pictures from right after the mirror was introduced!

As I've made progress in the storyline with them, I've been having vitiligo spread slowly over their body- they don't have it here but will in upcoming pictures. I played and played and played and I'd done a ton of completionist type shit with their campaign (futile I know) until I finally got to the same amount of hours. It was insane, I wasn't as far into the game as I was with Melaqyn- I hadn't even made it to the gobbo camp yet. It took me 47 hours to make it there, and I knew this time around that Minthara was a companion. However, I did kill her, and I did keep her body in my camp, and It Is Still in my traveller's chest. 

I started getting anxious about playing, about the idea of making progress, of missing anything, of saying something wrong or fighting when I shouldn't have. I didn't want to look anything up because I wanted it to be fun and a surprise.. but I also made myself look things up because I couldn't handle the thought of getting things wrong. I had heard Astarion was hard to romance, so I used a guide for So Many interactions, with him and with him around. He's been a permanent party member (save for when I'm working on the others and have to trade people out for a moment, but even then I usually keep him in the party). Pictures from before the party! (They're taken a small time apart, and I only know because you can't see vitiligo on the first one.)

The prospect of playing the game became so daunting, I ended up spending a lot of time just mucking about and sorting my inventory and collecting items and finding nothingness so I didn't have to move on. I finally got a push from my partner to talk with Zevlor about the party, and we did it! And it was awesome! And Astarion was very pleased with me! Alfira was there! I really liked the party. Even after that though, I didn't really.. move on. I ended up going through the underdark and at ~70 hours, I finished everything down there, everything else in the main Act 1 space, and finally ventured to the crèche. I didn't spend a lot of time there to be honest, jumping back and forth between it and the Emerald Grove to sell things, buy things, the likes. I managed to sneak out the back of the crèche and not fight anyone (except the guys waiting in the room where Vlakith was) so I moved on and got out of there because those guys are tough, and I'm not good at combat lmao. I made a lot of changes between the tiefling party and just after the crèche, so here's a little run down! (Gotta love the zaith'isk)

I've only recently made it into Act 2, early December I think. I've hardly done anything as far as I know. I saved Isobel (reloaded a couple times bc I am NOT hurting Dammon <3), talked to He-Who-Was (I've not done his quest yet but I agreed to), I've taken care of the tollhouse (literally like not even a week ago), spoke with Raphael in the Inn, as well as now just past the House of Healing, I did some dark justiciar stuff with Shart, killed Kar'niss (sadge u-u), saved Arabella again, a couple other things I'm sure and I'm currently going through the House of Healing-

Real quick I want to add- I had a few weeks where I couldn't bring myself to play Ammarir. I didn't (and still don't) know what lies ahead in the story and I just. Couldn't. I decided one night, a week or two ago now, that I want mods again. Mostly just visual stuff, I love the customization in this game, and I wanted a little more freedom. I also discovered the beautiful basket full of equipment mod and I've been very much enjoying the sick as fuck armour B) I didn't want to load up their game at first, since I made them to be! A vanilla campaign! But I thought.. “I'm not having fun and this feels like a chore. We can play with the mods and see how it goes!” And holy SHIT I've been having so much more fun :’)

As of writing this, I'm at 114+ hours on Ammarir's playthrough. I've had the scenes with Gale and Wyll, didn't uhh.. I wasn't interested in Gale (but I'd be lying if I said I didn't go through with it and reload-) but I went through with the kiss with Wyll! Which finally sparked the single neuron that's still alive in Astarion's soiled pants (/a) of a brain to bring up the nature of our relationship. Here's some pictures from some of my most recent gameplay (in order of oldest to newest, over the span of like 9 days).

This all got away from me- I really did just mean to say that I am a very slow player. My brother’s boyfriend has beaten the game, got farther than I am in less than 24 hours which is insane to me. I suppose now at the bottom of this all, I should tell you how many hours I have in the game in total. Mind you, where Ammarir is now, is as far as I've seen the game.

Having mistakenly left this to simmer a little too long, I now have 431.2 hours in the game. Ammarir is now in early Act 3, with 158+ hours, and boy do I have some things to add since I wrote all of that.

Picking up where I left off, I did most everything in Act 2! I’ve realised that in doing the Last Light Inn quest things early in Act 2, I missed some interactions :( One, I didn’t get to play chess with Mol and Raphael (I actually don’t know what happens in that interaction at all- I haven’t seen it anywhere and I don’t really want to seek it out. I’ll see it eventually). Two, I think I spoke to Rolan at Last Light about his siblings, but I never saw him again after that. I didn’t know I should’ve looked for him until after I did the Nightsong quest. He wasn’t where he was supposed to be, and I had a broken quest which sucks, but it’s okay.

I saved all the tiefs and dwarves from Moonlight Towers- but let me go back a little. I did pretty much every single thing possible in the Shadow Cursed Lands, and! I went back to the Creche and destroyed everyone (bc I’m a loot goblin and I couldn’t leave all those goodies behind ToT). With the Creche cleared out, I sort of just went between the Emerald Grove, Last Light Inn and the Thorm family businesses™ for a handful of reasons. 

There were two things in particular that I really wanted to do with Ammarir’s playthrough, which were collecting every single skull and head I could get my hands on, and unlocking every edge of the map, everywhere I went. I’m sure I’ve missed many a head, and some spots on the maps were impossible to get to, but I’ve done my best.

It’s been a minute since I’ve added pictures, and my babe changed a lot through the Shadow Cursed Lands, so here’s a few pics!

By this point I’d finished everything in Moonrise and got myself prepared for Act 3- well sort of. I knew that I was reaching the end of Act 2, but I didn’t know anything about the transition in between? So I was wrapping all of my quests up, trying to find Rolan, looking for anything I could- realising too late that I didn’t and couldn’t bring my brain jars from the Nautiloid into Moonrise with me- after killing Ketherik. But it’s okay, I have them both neatly set aside on another campaign. Anyhow, I saved Dame Aylin, and she and Isobel are in my camp now, happily by one another’s side again. Shart has her snowy hair, and a very pretty white and gold makeup look to match, and I went to the road to Baldur’s Gate.

In camp, I was going through some of the clothes I had picked up- found a pair of pants, that are just.. pants? No shirt? I thought it would be funny if I had Ammarir wear those as camp clothes and uh.. Immediately went into the cutscene to start Act 3 ToT. So I have some pictures of them just.. topless, looking out over the city. I reloaded, changed them into something more comfortable and appropriate, and went through the cutscene again. These are pictures from leaving the Shadow Cursed Lands, entering the Act 3 intro, and the beginning of the scene in the Astral Prism.

I had no idea what to expect!! I didn’t know that Gith came after us at camp, I didn’t know that I had to go into the prism and fight, I didn’t know that I was going to meet The Emperor yet! It had been kind of a long fucking time since the last time I saw my gaurdian, so I genuinely wasn’t sure when it was going to happen. I did figure out that my guardian was The Emperor early on in playing the game- not entirely spoiled for me by stuff online or by friends, but genuinely just.. Finding out that The Emperor exists in the Astral Plane kind of tickled my brain an odd way lmao.

Now, I had been waiting a long, long time for this event- I knew nothing about how it happened, but talking with The Emperor and getting the astral-touched parasite was something I was Very Excited to have happen. I didn’t know it happened at the beginning of Act 3- though I didn’t know when it was going to happen at all, so it’s not saying much to be honest. Like I said, I was waiting for this, and I very graciously accepted this gift. Quite hastily perhaps even- when I started Ammarir’s game, I had no intention of using the Mindflayer abilities At All! But how could I turn down the offer? I’d begun using the abilities rather frequently by the time I entered Act 2, and by the end I was pretty juiced up on worms frankly. Here’s Ammarir after using the parasite!

I wasn’t alone in my venture either, I wanted to share this with my companions- of course- but I wasn’t going to Make Anyone do something they didn’t want to do. I spoke with Astarion first, considering he and Ammarir are together, what he thought. He was heavily against it for himself, and y’know what? Fair! I don’t plan on having him “evolve” at all, not past normal parasites. Gale I spoke to and he wasn’t opposed, but wasn’t for it. I convinced him pretty easy peasy and now he’s joined in on the fun! Skipping to Lae’zel, I did convince her to use the astral-touched parasite as well, and I’m not even a little sorry. She looks fucking awesome, and she’s so powerful TwT Gonna put just a couple pics of them in here, as a treat~ (before And after)

Considering I didn't evolve Astarion and don't plan to, I wasn't planning on posting pictures of him here- and I've reached my image limit, or I would 10000% show him here. Unfortunately though, I can't, but if anyone wants to see him, I'll post some pictures of him and Ammarir separately <3

As of writing this, I’ve not gotten very far into Act 3. In Rivington now- donated to the Flaming Fist for the refugees, spoken to a handful of folks around, was granted access to the circus (but I’ve not gone in yet) and I traded with the shady fucker who trades “antiques”. I’ve also run into Orin! The blacksmith’s shop is really cute, I’m absolutely in love with Exxvikyap 🥺 Seeing all the Baldurians who absentmindedly look up to Gortash is giving me whiplash (I’ve hated the guy since BEFORE I started playing ToT Fuck him).

Anyway, I could go on and on and on forever, but I think.. I think I will finish this off here, for now. If I end up updating this in the future, I’ll be more timely about it- After all, I did just pick up a Durge OC campaign that I’ve been wanting to do for months.

It's about time I address the elephant in the room: WHAT HAPPENED TO HILDA AND THE LOST FUTURE?

So, for anyone who doesn't know, in I believe early 2021 I started a comic called Hilda and the Lost Future, based off the episode the 50 year night. I haven't updated this comic in a while and I know I've had some people ask me when it'll come back

A tl;dr for anyone who wants the short answer:

It will be a while. It's not my current priority or main interest, but I absolutely want to get back to it at some point: When I do, it'll be from slowly working on multiple pages in the background which will eventually be posted every week when I have a big backlog.

For anyone wanting any more information tho, theres a number of reason's its been a while

A big one is burnout. I got really heavily burnt out I believe late 2021 and I haven't done nearly as much drawing as I would've liked since then

One of the factors for why I had so much burn out was university - For those of you who don't know, I'm currently a University student, specifically I just finished my second year meaning I have the Big Boy Dissertation coming up for my final year. I also had a job until late last year which I'd work during my uni breaks so I had like no real break.

Uni has taken generally just a lot of my time and energy away from me and it's because of uni that I haven't been drawing much. I'm still tryna get back into drawing way more regularly and it's a little disheartening that in some regards I'm a tad rusty, but I still enjoy drawing way too much to quit

Another issue that doesn't help is, as I'm sure a lot of you have noticed, I've been bitten by the minecraft bug quite bad. Or more that it's come back from the grave because I swear my minecraft obsession never truly left. And like as a result of that I've even been making my own videos! It's been really fun and I'm having a blast. I honestly have been finding making videos really fun and a nice escape from uni, plus a good excuse to draw (thumbnails). Outside of the game itself I've been very into a lot of mcyt fandoms, currently I am loving watching hermitcraft and I have loved bansmp (a series by my friend bantaro) and its been a blast being able to be a part of that series which I've loved watching.

I still like Hilda a lot, don't get me wrong. I'm just way more focused on other interests at the moment and with so little time it kinda leaves you prioritising, and I definitely lost steam with my strict schedule I put upon myself.

So, where does that leave us?

I know initally when I started the comic I had a lot of people offer to help out, help make it and things. I still am sure that I do not want this, as much as I appreciate peoples' offers.

One of the main focuses of the comic, outside of telling a story I have planned out, is to improve my drawing skills and make a comic from start to end by myself. I also know I'd be too particular with the way things would be done to want to pass it to someone else, and I don't want to like hand it off. It's something I want to do for myself, and again it's a way for me to improve my drawing skills. I mean heck, from the pages I've done so far I already vastly improved my ability to do backgrounds and perspective.

My plan is to work on pages in the background, not give any real estimation of when I'm working on them or not or when to expect them. Just a slow work on them every so often as I focus more on other things. That way, when I eventually get say (as an example), 10 pages finished, I'll do an announcement and I'll post the finished pages spacing them out a week at a time, to give myself a buffer. If this like makes me passionate enough to bump out one a week like I originally did, I'll do that, but if not then I'll repeat the process of slowly working on a bunch and posting them all after a lot are finished

So yeah! For anyone who read this far instead of just reading the tl;dr, I appreciate it! I know its a long and probably overdue talk on things, but I thought it'd be worth talking about because I've been thinking about the comic a lot lately and how I wanna get back to it. I just also know that like, I don't wanna burn myself out with it again so it'll be more of a slow project to chip away at.

[The camera jolts as Mari looks around, moving their hand as they do. After a while they stop, loud music is heard in the background as people start dancing.]

M: Fucking hell, I wish I could just leave. [Whispered.] I swear if Sarah or Ness are here.

[Mari looks around again, the camera again following their movement. After a while they spot someone wearing a light purple shirt sitting in a corner, they begin slowly moving towards the figure. Noticeably having short brown hair and blue eyes.]

M: Hi… Uh… I'm Mari?

[The man jumps, before hiding his face in embarrassment.]

?: Jesus Christ, you scared me… Sorry about that. Hi.

M: Uh… What's your name? I uh, told you mine. I think.

Jer: Uh. Jeremy. Hi.

[He reaches out for a handshake, then puts his hand back down.]

Jer: Nevermind, too formal. Uh… hi.

M: Hi, can I sit against the wall with you?

Jer: Sure… I mean, I don’t know anyone here, so it’s not like the spot’s taken.

M: Cool, and uh… Ignore the phone? Therapist asked me to record potentially stressful moments so.

[Jeremy nods.]

Jer: Ah, makes sense. My therapist used to try to get me to do that, but I kept forgetting.

M: Yeah uh… Yeah.

[Mari moves over to the wall, the camera now again facing the rest of the party.]

M: Funny story, only reason I'm here is because my mom's boyfriend bribed me.

[Jeremy laughs.]

Jer: I’m here for the food, honestly. I didn’t really have any plans, so… here I am.

[He thinks for a second.]

Jer: Oh, also, did you want a drink? I meant to bring one out to my friend, but she didn’t want it, so…

M: Sure. Uh wait, is it alcoholic? I only drink alcohol on some occasions.

[Jeremy raises an eyebrow.]

Jer: You look awfully young to be drinking. But no, it’s not, it’s a can of Dr Pepper.

[He offers it to them.]

Jer: Careful, also, I dropped it a bit ago.

M: Oh cool.

[The camera shakes as Mari grabs the can of soda.]

M: Also uh yeah. I'm only 21.

Jer: Oh, my bad. I thought you were under the age for stuff like that.

[He pauses for a second.]

Jer: … So…

[He doesn’t know what to say.]

M: You like video games?

[Jeremy’s eyes light up.]

Jer: Shit, man, do I! What kind do you like?

M: I mean, Role playing games are fun, and I also play some wrestling games too… Besides that I don't really own a lot of games. Hard to afford them.

Jer: That’s fair, I only have some because my parents got them for me a while back. They’re pretty messed up now because of how old they are. But personally, I’m a fan of uh… I like horror a lot actually. And uh… apart from that, I don’t play much. Other than, like, Minecraft.

M: You hear about that beta testing gig? Opening up next month? I hate to sound like every person in town but like… We're talking about games so.

Jer: I did! I’m actually considering trying that out, since like… it’s Freddy’s related, I think. That place always seemed weird, so I was curious.

M: Wasn't there a location that burnt down here in town a while ago?

Jer: Yeah, and if I’m right, there was even one before that that burnt down. Weird shit, I’m telling you. Some people are saying it’s haunted and stuff too.

M: I don't believe in a lot of that stuff, honestly seems like connecting threads that aren't there. But it is what it is, I'm gonna try out just for the money.

Jer: Honestly, I wouldn’t be surprised if that place was haunted, but I get where you’re coming from. I’m also doing it for the money, ha!

M: Yeah, my uh… My mom is actually paying so I don't get kicked out of my apartment currently so…

Jer: That’s fair, my friend and I are both working to try to deal with the apartment situation, but we’re behind a couple payments… But shh, don’t tell anyone.

[Jeremy makes a shushing noise, bringing his finger over his lips, trying to hide a playful grin.]

M: Don't worry bro, I won't tell.

Jer: Thanks, you’re a real one. So… do you know like… any of the people in this room?

M: I mean, my mom and her boyfriend. I think some of my old high-school friends are here. Hence why I'm in a disguise. Blue hair instead of red, uh… Actually wearing makeup outside my house.

Jer: That makes sense. Bad memories and stuff, or…?

M: Yeah uh… Less anything they did just, very traumatic things tied to them y'know?

Jer: Ah, I get that. Oh–

M: Wha-

[Mari turns around, the camera following suit.]

[Jeremy is looking to his side, and downwards.]

M: [Whispered.] IS THAT A FUCKIN’ KID?

Jer: Yes, and they’re looking at me.

[The child seen tugging on Jeremy's shirt, has medium length brown hair that looks as if it hasn't been brushed in days, they are wearing a dirty red hoodie, with multiple scrapes on their face and hands.]

?: Pizza?

M: Wha-

[Jeremy glances over at the pizza table, then back at the kid.]

Jer: Uh… Over there?

[The child looks towards the pizza table, then looks back at Jeremy. Their green eyes start to water. When they speak again their tone is finally picked up, they seem sad. As if in pain.]

?: I do not like the adults, they scare me.

Jer: Oh, uh…

[Jeremy seems to be thinking about something really difficult, based on tone.]

M: Do you need a distraction?

[Mari sounds severely annoyed.]

Jer: I can help. I know exactly what I must do.

M: Do you. Want a. Fuckin’ distraction.

Jer: Watch your language, that’s a kid. But yes.

M: Ugh, this is going to suck more than if I had to fight seven evil exes.

Jer: For a good cause. I’ll owe you.

M: Ok, Ready. I'm going to run on that stage and go ham on the drums. This has to be timed perfectly.

Jer: I’ve got this, give me a second.

[Mari throws the phone in the kids direction, when the camera readjusts Jeremy's back is now visible.]

[Jeremy pulls out his phone, sends a quick message, then nods at Mari.]

Jer: Ready.

M: Ok. When I start counting you run to the table got it?

Jer: I’ve got it.

M: Cool. Kid film this.

?: Sure.

[Mari ducks down and begins sprinting out of frame. After a few seconds microphone static is heard.]

M: [Over a microphone.] Um ONE, TWO, THREE, FOUR!

[Jeremy scoops up the kid and runs to the pizza table, grabbing a box and, as quickly as possible, sprinting out through the front door of the house.]

S: [From inside the house.] THAT GUY JUST STOLE A KID AND A PIZZA WHILE MARI DISTRACTED US WITH MEGALOVANIA!

?: Should we wait on the person who owns this phone-

[Behind them, the sound of a door being kicked open and someone being chased.]

M: CAR CAR GET IN A CAR!

Jer: GOT IT. GOT IT.

[Jeremy runs in the direction of a white car. It looks a bit old, but he swings the door open anyway.]

Jer: EVERYONE IN.

?: WHAT THE FUCK DID YOU DO THIS TIME?

Jer: JUST GO. JUST GO.

M: OPEN THE FUCKIN’ DOOR! DIPSHIT!

Jer: I’M CARRYING A KID, ASSHAT.

[The kid crawls over and opens the door out of frame, passing the phone back to Mari as multiple people shout.]

M: DRIVE!

?: ON IT, BUT I SWEAR TO GOD–

[The car speeds off, leaving the crowd behind.]

M: Hi, I'm Mari… Who are you?

Jen: I’m Jenny. A very pissed off Jenny.

Jer: Listen, I–

Jen: Shut.

M: In his defense, he stole the pizza for a homeless… I think homeless at least kid.

?: Yes.

[The woman driving, apparently named Jenny, looks at the kid through the rear view mirror.]

Jen: … Oh, that’s… Okay, that makes more sense.

Jer: See? I’m not a delinquent.

[Jenny raises her eyebrows.]

Jer: … Not a delinquent for no reason.

Jen: That works.

M: I mean… I burnt a mall down on accident once so.

Jen: I’m sorry??

[Jenny almost looks back at Mari, but tries to keep her eyes on the road.]

Jen: I’ll need that story in a bit.

M: Do you use tumblr? I can like… Send it to you.

Jen: Yeah, how could you tell? Just the energy, or the nerdy soundtracks playing right now?

M: Lucky guess.

Jer: The soundtracks.

Jen: Shut up, you.

[There’s a moment of silence.]

Jen: So, based on… everything in this situation, it’s probably obvious I’m not entirely used to being a getaway driver, Jeremy.

Jer: Listen.

M: Yo kid want a free wig.

?: Wha-

M: Cool, catch.

[The sound of something shuffling, and then being thrown into the kids lap.]

Jen: Speaking of the kid, do you have a name, sweetheart?

[Jenny looks at the kid again through the rear view mirror.]

Sp: S- Sparrow… I think? Yeah, Sparrow… Or… Hm, nevermind.

[Jenny pauses for a second.]

Jen: That’s a lovely name… Um. So… Sparrow, do you have anywhere you’re staying, or…?

Sp: The um… The back of the pizza hut.

[Jenny thinks again for a moment.]

Jen: … Do you need anything?

Sp: A roof would be nice.

Jer: Well, that’s… I mean, you may be able to stay with us for a couple nights?

Jen: I think that’s possible… And you too, Mari. If you need.

M: Meh I have my house, I just can't let anyone in for a few days.

Sp: My mom's boyfriend won't let me back in the house, I don't know why. He also kept calling me um… Hm, a name that… Seems familiar. Dunno why though.

Jen: Ah, that’s… You can stay with us for a while, Sparrow. We don’t have a lot, but it’s hopefully better than behind a Pizza Hut.

Sp: They give me free leftovers sometimes.

M: Hey uh… Do you need some new clothes? If uh… Jenny doesn't mind stopping, uh… I'll buy you some.

Sp: Um… Ms Jenny?

Jen: Oh, no need! I do stuff like that all the time for cosplays and stuff, I’m sure I could make something for you, if you want, Sparrow…

Sp: COSPLAYS! WOW! I uh… Sorry, I've seen those before… Never met someone who did that stuff though.

Jen: I have for the past few years, in my spare time…

Jer: Yeah, for Homest-

Jen: SHUT.

M: What.

[Mari can be heard looking for something.]

M: I FORGOT MY FUCKIN’ CHICKEN STRIPS.

Jen: I’m sorry, you meant to just… bring them on your escape?

M: My mom's boyfriend bribed me to come to his dumb party with 300 bucks and a bag of chicken strips.

Jer: Well, we can bribe you not to tell the cops about anything that has happened here with McDonald’s.

M: You realize if I told the cops, I'd get in trouble too right?

Jer: Just give me an excuse here.

Jen: Fine, we can stop at McDonald’s.

Jer: Hell yeah.

Sp: Hell yeah?

[Jeremy reaches back to fistbump Sparrow.]

Jer: Hell. Yeah.

M: How old are you anyway?

Sp: Thirteen.

Jer: Oh, so you can curse. My bad. Damn, what is with me and thinking everyone’s younger than they are today?

Jen: How old am I?

Jer: Well-

Jen: Answer carefully.

M: Wuh oh-

[Jeremy looks like he’s actually nervous, while Jenny is trying not to laugh.]

Jer: … 23?

Jen: … You pass for now. I’m 24, loser.

Jer: I’m the loser?

Jen: Yeah. Loser.

M: Hey, you're only 3 years older than me.

Jen: Hey, you’re only 3 years younger than me.

Jer: Hey, we’re only 3 turns away from the apartment.

Jen: Shut.

Sp: I am confused.

M: I should probably turn off the video huh? I'm alright to transcribe this and post it right? Tumblr people are cool.

Jen: I mean, as long as none of our, like… super personal information is in there, which it shouldn’t be, so sure!
