i feel like Rageball Kyle™ is kinda just as bad as Twink Kyle. It is more in character for Kyle than his twink counterpart but like-he’s not a throbbing ball of rage 24/7.

In Doubling Down when Cartman was harassing him over Heidi, Kyle wasn’t the one to start the fight. Eric was. He kept trying to back away because he didn’t WANT to fight. Similar thing in Cartman Sucks. Or Christmas in Canada. Kyle only ever lashes out physically when Cartman starts egging him in to do so. Even Tonsil Trouble, Kyle was absolutely justified in his actions when it came to beating up Cartman and breaking his shit. Cartman gave him HIV.

But Kyle will lash out verbally. He has no problem speaking his mind, but he doesn’t do so in a menacing way (most of the time). Kyle is a lot more patient than people give him credit for. The times he isn’t patient are usually with Cartman, where Cartman says something antisemitic or racist. When people say something that is in Kyle’s mind, morally wrong, that’s when he lashes out.

Seeing him in fics beating up random kids for the stupidest shit is honestly so ooc. Physical violence is his last resort. And he only resorts to it after Cartman aggravates him enough and eggs him on. Only then does Kyle physically lash out.

Kyle has a reason for almost everything he does. He isn’t impulsive.. He usually has a good, moral reason for doing what he does. He’s not some raging asshole, but he’s also not some soft weak baby. There’s a balance and nobody seems to have found it. He is a very rational character and never acts in impulse, but he also doesn’t hold back from sharing his views.

If there’s one thing Kyle relies on, it’s reason. And not enough people realize that.

out of curiosity, which gg pairings (canon or otherwise) do you think would have been the most likely to have a happy endgame, and why?

1. All of them need therapy first in my biased opinion (whether or not they'd actually do it.)

2. Dan ships genuinely depend on whether you choose to believe Dan is gossip girl

dair: just their compatibility and ability to communicate and talk through things is genuinely the greatest indicator of how they'd fair long term. they have that foundation of becoming best friends. I do think they'd be able to work through 5x23 with time.

serenate: foundation of friendship, deep love for each other, similar personalities, similar struggles with how they're viewed by society. They'd have some trust to rebuild, but definitely not as much as other couples. (they'd even be able to stay in the canon jobs they'd hate!)

Eric/Jonathan: enough said

jennate: while it's not my personal cup of tea, they do have that foundation of being good friends who confide in each other and communicate, and i can see that carrying them into happiness. @terrainofheartfelt has a beautiful fic of them as adults

natessa: as @strideofpride would say, Nate is literally a Boyfriend™ guy. they had a lot of happiness and were able to communicate through most of their issues. it wouldn't work if nate stayed in politics in my opinion, but that's also a product of me hating nate living the nepo baby life and projecting that onto vanessa.

rufly: when they worked, they WORKED. i don't remember enough of their storyline post mr. VDW leaving after being caught (I think because it got sadder and sadder and i blocked it out) but I think the love was there and they'll always be in each other's lives with how intertwined their children are anyways that I can see them winding up trying again. it's not like they haven't pulled each other back in after decades apart before to begin with lol

serenessa: hear me out. they just have so much chemistry in the early seasons if nothing else, and i think they could work together in film/writing/directing so easily?? like... Brown and RISD are on the same campus. Secondly, they clearly have the same taste in boys and there's plenty of people who see Serena as the female equivalent of Nate with Vanessa to Dan. (mostly joking there but)

dan/nate: they have mutual respect for each other, even handled Serena's indecision together fairly well all things considered and i think that's pretty huge tbh. they have a foundation of friendship and communication and they complement each other. nate has a stillness to him that Serena doesn't and I can see him better fitting a life together with dan.

dairthaniel: i mean. I'm about one third of their tag on ao3, so.

random Descendants headcanons that have been in my brain for so long but I've never really talked about:

Evie can speak a variety of languages; her mother taught her that as a princess she must be able to communicate with anyone.

Gaston has a handful of daughters that he doesn't accept as his own kids. Also, the Gaston twins are Gil's half brothers. (In one fic, the twins' mom is Mother Gothel and Gil's is an OC who was a metalsmith for Hook's crew but that's not really a HC as much as just a world building thing.)

Hans has a son named Hamlet. Hamlet is a Danish prince, Hans is a prince in a movie based off of a Danish fairytale. It makes me laugh.

CJ Hook is a flirt. I have no explanation but she is and it stresses Harriet and Harry out.

Lonnie keeps swords with her at every formal occasion. She was ready to throw down with Maleficent at the coronation and Uma at cotillion if she hadn't been stopped.

Mal explained their plan to steal the wand to Ben after his coronation. He didn't know how to feel at first, but ultimately forgave her and was glad she was honest with him.

Doug also apologized for stalking Evie in D1 and for accusing her of cheating in D2.

In general, people apologize for things they did wrong. Also they all go to therapy. (Chad, however, doesn't properly apologize for things and is overall insufferable, but in an endearing way.)

Chad is a firstborn child and was the only boy for a while, which is why he's Like That™.

Fairy Godmother is the godmother of all of Cinderella's children.

The descendants of anyone who was once under a sleeping spell have some sort of side effect from it. Audrey has night terrors and almost always wakes up with the sun, no matter what time she went to sleep the night before.

Many people that were spelled by villains have problems with fertility, which is why we see people like Philip and sleeping spelled Aurora and Belle and beast cursed Adam with only one child each.

Seaside (Eric's kingdom) makes the best saltwater taffee. I have absolutely no proof behind this but came up with it in like, 2016 and have believed it ever since.

Agrabah loves any reason for a celebration, there's many festivals that occur throughout the year (inspired by the harvest festival in the live action Aladdin)

Persephone visited Hades in the fall and winter after he was put on the Isle, but stopped after the first few years. Enter Maleficent, seeking a political marriage to help enforce her position of queen of the Isle...

Anastasia and the Baker were in a similar situation, except he decided to permanently live on the Isle to be with her 7ish years in.

Most of Anastasia's kids are named after some sort of historical political figure. Anthony for Mark Antony + various OCs. She did this in order to try to get back on Lady Tremaine's good size.

Drizella, on the other hand, had absolutely no rhyme or reason in choosing her kids' names except for the fact that they all start with D.

Evie loves to bake. Everyone in Auradon was very hesitant to try her sweets at first, what with the love spell cookies Ben had and the fact that the daughter of the Evil Queen was offering them apple tarts.

Jane loves anything pumpkin flavored, especially pumpkin spice lattes.

Jay is the first of the core four to learn to drive, and the only one to have his license in D2. Even after the others learn to drive, he still loves taking them places (and they don't complain).

Mal has a high tolerance for spicy food. She once eats an extremely hot pepper on a dare and Audrey tries to prove she's just as good as Mal, she can do the same thing. It does not end well for her.

Carlos connects with the non Isle part of the de Vil family after being encouraged to do so by Roger and Anita. He's cautious at first, but grows to love them.

Lumiere, Plumette/Babette/Fifi/whatever you call her, and Mrs. Potts have all technically retired from their work in the castle, although they do help manage the next generation of maître'ds/maids/housekeepers in Adam's castle. Cogsworth stubbornly holds on to his role as majordomo until Ben becomes king. After the coronation, Chip takes over his role.

Additionally, Mrs. Potts now works in the kitchen at Auradon Prep and is a maternal figure to many of the students there.

The castle's staff were there when the four VKs were first welcomed to Auradon, even though Belle and Adam couldn't make it.

When Uma mentions having coconuts in D3, she ate them in Montuni (Moana's kingdom). Moana meets her but doesn't realize she's the Uma, and they both bond over their shared love for the ocean.

The core four are assigned "punishments" of community service after trying to overthrow the country. Mal is tasked with painting murals around the capital, Jay is assistant coach to a local little league tourney team, Carlos volunteers at an animal shelter, and Evie works in a chemistry lab. Ben feels so wonderfully evil for sneakily connecting them with mentors without them knowing it.

Could…Dick be secretly dumb? Like, she knew he wasn’t the World’s Greatest Detective, or even the World’s Second Greatest Detective (an honor belonging to her ex), but she had pretty much assumed he was the Third.

Or: Stephanie is applying to colleges. Who knew that Bruce's emotional incompetence could make the process more tricky even when he's not there. Dick attempts to help out.

I wanted to do this last night... but I ran out of time and then all hell broke loose with the fireworks at midnight so here it is now instead!

I started a lot of challenges... and finished exactly 0. My health wasn’t the greatest last year and once you fall behind on these challenges - you’ll never catch up. Or at least I don’t.

Hi, yes, I was already obsessed with dom!bitty, but your soft dom!bitty is absolutely perfect.

Could you tell us more about it?? How do they go from nonsexual to sexual subbing? Do they ever (god forbid) talk about it? Does Jack ever wear a collar or bracelet, not so much to show the world he is owned by Bitty, but more to remind himself he belongs to Bitty??? (Yes, I have Ideas™ and Feelings™ about them.)

1. I actually have to think about the collaring. my instinct is to say no (the motivation behind the collaring practice is the idea of possession, and I don't feel like either bitty or jack are into ownership), but also I do feel very strongly that as jack is often away for games, he'd like something to keep him tethered to bitty. I'm not sure if that's something physical or an in-universe pre-game routine. I'll think about it, and it might make an appearance in the future version of this fic.

2. how do they go from nonsexual to sexual subbing? I have so many ideas, man.

much like their canonical versions, I feel like jack would be the one to take that first step. in fact, my interpretation of them in this au is that if bitty had never met jack, he might have only had vanilla sex for the rest of his life, and would've probably gotten partial satisfaction from other things (fulfilling his need to feel self-worth by taking care of others by, like, bossing his family and friends around in a mother hen way). jack, on the other hand, starts this au already aware he has needs that he's not sure how to meet. he struggles with allowing people to see his weaknesses or letting them take care of him, so submitting sexually is really much less scary to him than submitting non-sexually (not that he really does either before bitty, or at least not in any formal way). which is why by the time he realizes how dependent on bitty he allowed himself to become, making the switch to sexual stuff is not mentally hard for him at all. it's way easier than the other way around.

(also, it's jack. yeah, he's a little emotionally stunted, but he's also really direct. most of my ideas go something like him staring at bitty after bitty got him out of that bath, sitting on his bed in a fluffy towel, and straight up offering to blow bitty. and bitty is like ??? you are emotionally compromised, you are not thinking straight, and jack is like, well. yeah. but I mean it.

or maybe something like bitty sees that he's hard when he gets him out of the shower and looks away to be polite, and jack notices, frowns, and says, you can look, and bitty says, that's not -- I promise that wasn't my intention here, and jack says, okay. but you can still look.)

I don't see bitty pushing for anything sexual. he definitely wants to have sex with jack, and is probably aware of that way earlier than jack is, but his train of thought is very... service dom oriented. that's the whole fic, you know? he gets off on taking care of jack. and if he isn't made aware that sex is something jack needs/wants/desires, he wouldn't think to offer it. it just gets shoved into the mental box of things eric bittle stubbornly represses.

So my current obsession is a castlevania little mermaid AU that i’ve been cooking up for several months now, featuring Alucard as Ariel, Sypha and Trevor sharing the role of Eric, and Carmilla as Ursula. I do want to make it into a fic (i have a complete outline already), but since life has been pretty crazy lately i’ve been doing some screenshot redraws to relax! Feel free to ask me questions about it if you’re interested, i’m always happy to chat about this sort of thing!

All backgrounds are from the movie except for the last one (that one’s not a screenshot, it’s a scene from the fic). If you notice some errors around Alucard (missing scar, missing fangs, wrong eye color, etc.) those are intentional ;)

do you remember when you first came across my dashboard? i think it was just after the kiss™ happened in the comic and there was a lot of posts about jack forgetting Bitty's name and I laughed because #relatable. and then fic started getting reblogged and I was curious (wtf kind of names are holster and ransom and lardo? who is shitty? bitty?) and i ended up on @petals42 's ice crew fic, and figured i might as well keep reading. at the very least i might get another chance to laugh about this jack guy who can't remember eric's name. i had no idea who anyone was beyond the background primer in the first chapter, but it didn't matter; i fell in love.

i googled then, found the webcomic and spent an afternoon reading about these hockey bros and a gay baker from the south, genuinely falling a little bit in love with each of them as they became a team.

i fell even harder into this fandom once i found more checkplease! blogs to follow. i think that might've been the first time i used the search function on this damn website, and there were (are) so many incredible, wonderful people whose love of the comic and characters comes through with every headcanon, every drabble and fic, every single piece of art—be it digital or on paper, hell, even every hiatus shit post. there are some of funniest, most talented people in this fandim; the work that goes into the projects that come across my dash is staggering and i'm in a constant state of awesome at what people share with this fandom.

and when people team up! i've said it before, but one of my favourite parts of this fandom is seeing the different phases of an idea or headcanon (or shit post 'cause lbr, shit gets weird sometimes) come across my dash. everyone has such different experiences and and opinions so it's really cool to see how one person will go in one way with an idea while someone else takes it in a completely different direction. and neither is told they're wrong! instead, others come together to build off the base idea, adding to it and adding to it until suddenly there's a fic or a artwork or a playlist or something more to go with that idea. the abundance collaborations here blows my mind.

i just hardcore dig everyone who hangs out in this fandom: the likers, the rebloggers, the writers, the artists, the fanmixers, and all the mods for all the different characters/ships/themes weeks and challenge.
