hey just wanted to rant too cuz this shit makes me ashamed of being italian. I'm used to hating this country for a multitude of valid reason but Carini was so fucking dumb and stupid I wasn't prepared for this.
Like Bitch your fucking job is being punched in the face. you could've picked any other sport but you were like you know what. I want to get punched in the face. I will dedicate my life to Getting Punched In The Face. Like with what kind of integrity do you go up on the stadium of Get Publically Punched in the Face and curl up crying. You are pathetic. I've broken bones in sports cause it Just Comes With The Territory but nahhh were gonna weaponise the patronising feelings people have about us to start a witch hunt on someone who isn't even trans. Can you believe that you can be fucking defined as Too Strong to be a woman? Like oh I'm sorry. I wasn't aware that the female Olympics section was a kindergarten playtime to let those poor weak women think they can achieve physical feats too. I hate her so much.
One last time. HOW CAN YOU CRY. ABOUT BEING PUNCHED IN THE FACE. WHEN YOU'RE. A FUCKING. BOXER.
Can you guys imagine if it was a dude that pulled this shit??? No one would take him seriously cause bitch. getting concussions for our entertainment is your FUCKING . JOB. Sigh .
tbf it wouldn't even be a problem in itself if everyone just handled it like normal fucking people. she got hit too hard for her to handle - comes with the territory, i suppose being a boxer does not make you immune to pain. everyone has bad days.
it's just that EVERYONE is rallying to protect this poor innocent fragile woman - who is an OLYMPIC BOXER - because she got punched too hard - IN AN OLYMPIC BOXING MATCH. BY ANOTHER BOXER. just. this is so mind-numbingly stupid. do people see white woman tears and lose all their rational thinking? poor fragile little woman crying, must protect? THIS IS AN OLYMPIC BOXER BEING HIT BY ANOTHER OLYMPIC BOXER IN HER WEIGHT CLASS. this italian woman could probably lay you out in one punch, even if she sucks, because she is, as i keep repeating, An Olympic Boxer. she is not fragile 😭😭
and just. "she hit me too hard, i immediately yielded" like hello???? what you are saying is she was too good at her job. at the sport both of you are there for? what you are saying is "she was so good, i immediately knew i didn't have a chance" and this is HER fault? for being too good?
i get you fully btw. imane khelif's next match is against a woman from my country (hungary). you can imagine the kind of shit people are saying. i just saw an article saying that our athlete shouldn't be her "next victim". VICTIM OF WHAT? BEING PUNCHED IN THE FACE AT THE 'GETTING PUNCHED IN THE FACE' SPORT????? are swimmers the victims of water now? am i victimized by someone running faster than me? IT'S A SPORT WHERE PEOPLE PUNCH EACH OTHER. i need to burn down the internet fr.

"Why do you even want to watch 'It' you hate clowns?" the eldest brother asked, holding a bowl of popcorn while he rounds the couch to were he previously sat.
"Jack asked for a scary movie so I suggested a scary movie." though he wasn't lying, both statements were true, it wasn't the real reason he suggested the movie. But like he would ever admit that to his brothers because he'd never hear the end of it if they knew. Little did he know they already did.
"He wants to watch it because Y/n L/n is in it." Jack mumbled, not looking up from his phone where he looked up the cast list, and he begins to laugh along when his older brother starts to.
"Not true."
"Too true."
"Shut up. Are we watching this or something else." Quinn says, being the mediator among the three.
All throughout the movie, while Luke was gawking at his dream girl, Jack and Quinn would make eye contact over his head silently laughing at their brothers face of awe whenever Y/n was on screen. When she walked slow-mo out of the store, the scenes at the quarry, Luke had the same face as the boys on the screen except he wasn't acting.

73 Questions With Y/ L/n | Vogue
Y/n opens the door for the vogue camera man, after she just shut it on him.
"Hey! Y/n L/n! You excited for your 73 questions with vogue?" the interviewer asks enthusiastically.
"Yes, I am.. Does that count as your first question?"
While the man asks several questions, Y/n lead them into her living room.
"Who do you want to play you in a movie about your life?"
"Umm.. Sadie Sink. And I would like to play Sadie in the movie about her life."
"What is the knewest thing in here?"
After quickly looking around the girl grab a recent purchase of hers a stuffed octopus.
"I recently bought this stuffed animal. It's an octopus, because there's only one or else it would be octopi."
"Interesting, and what do you think is the coolest thing in this room?"
Setting down the octopus, Y/n walks towards her book case. Grabbing what looks to be a very old book.
"This is a vintage edition of Little Women the same one my mom read to me when I was 12 and the same one I reread in preparation for my role as Amy March."
While placing the book back on the shelf the man asks, "Without looking do you know what the last word of Little Women is?"
Jokingly Y/n pick the book up again and starts to open it, and the two chuckle, she then continues to answer the question. "No, um..I know, 'end'."
"End?"
"Yep. That counts as a question."
"It's actually 'this'"
"... 'This'?" the man nods before Y/n continues, "No, you're wrong it's end. Because all books end in 'the end' how could you not know that."
The interview continues into the girl kitchen, while she pours herself an iced tea.
"What is your favourite sport?"
"I don't really have a favourite sport, but I guess I'll say hockey. 'Cause y'know they're hot."

Clegan Olympics Headcanons
Some headcanons I have about Buck and Bucky as Olympic athletes, initially inspired by this post by @brotherwtf and my replies to it with @impalachick. I just felt like fleshing these ideas out a bit more. Anyone feel free to add to it!
John as a gymnast and Gale as a horseback rider:
First of all, Bucky is a gymnast. it's easy to imagine him as a rower because of Boys in the Boat, but hear me out... LOOK at those thighs, those shoulders. He's a bit tall but shhhh it's fine, he'd excel at men's gymnastics. Especially rings and floor.
He's been doing gymnastics since he was little -- just imagine a tiny sassy Bucky tumbling around and doing handstands. He's always been good, but when he hit puberty and put on all that muscle, wow.
He definitely has strengths in certain events, but he's an all-around gymnast with a tendency for pushing boundaries. He's known for the raw power and strength he shows in his events. I don't think this is his first Olympics either, since gymnasts tend to be on the younger side. He's been on the map probably since he started college.
He's just getting better with age, though. People don't pay as much attention to men's gymnastics as they do women's, but man they talk about John Egan (it helps that everyone is a little in love with him).
I've decided to indulge myself and imagine Gale as an equestrian. He does eventing (jumping, dressage, and cross-country)
He didn't grow up with any fancy horses or trainers or tack. He wore hand-me-downs for years and trained green horses from the ground up and worked tirelessly on farms in exchange for ride time. He worked for every inch of what he's accomplished, always for the love of the animal and of the sport.
The equestrian athletes tend to be older, so this might be Gale's first Olympics. He's the new young hotty on the equestrian team that everyone wants to watch. Maybe in this way John kind of helps him navigate being an Olympian.
I don't know how or when they first meet, but one of the first things John notices about Gale (other than how beautiful he is and that voice and those eyes) is how deeply he cares for and loves his horse, who is his partner in this crazy sport. I imagine Gale as an animal-lover, and he values his horse more than anything else in this world (except, eventually, maybe John)
John has next to no experience with horses. He's not scared of them, but appropriately wary perhaps. And Gale's horse is tall, which doesn't help. He's nervous the first time Gale takes him into the stables but tries to act like he's not. He wants so badly for Gale's horse to like him (she does).
Also I feel like Gale rides a mare -- they're sassy and opinionated and so so loyal for the right person (vague parallel to John??? lol)
They start learning about each others' sports and try to watch every event the other is in, becoming each others' biggest fans even if they only half know what's going on. John is always a little terrified watching Gale ride, especially during cross-country. Gale thinks he's crazy for this because he can barely watch sometimes when John is flipping through the air so high off the ground like that.
Them exploring Paris together when they're not competing!!! Imagine the general shenanigans and romance and cuteness of them galivanting around the city together.
They definitely get some attention as a sort of "it" couple during the games and pictures start circulating of them together. An unlikely pairing across sports, especially because Gale and John have such different personalities and reputations. The attention makes Gale a little uncomfortable, so John starts making a point to obnoxiously block any photos reporters try to take of them together. This ends up just making Gale laugh and he tells John to stop.
When they're home, they try to teach each other basics of their sports. Gale gives John a pony ride on his Olympic sport horse who is worth thousands and thousands of dollars and tries to teach him how to ride by himself. John is clumsy about it but only falls maybe once, and he's determined to please Gale so he keeps trying. John tries to teach Gale how to do some basic tumbling but Gale, while strong in his own right, just does not have that type of strength, coordination, or flexibility and repeatedly falls on his ass before adamantly refusing to ever do it again (I love those videos of olympic athletes trying each others' sports)
Totally did not mean to build on this so much and don't intend to do anything with it but I'm gonna be thinking about this a lot I think.

Hey guys, it is @wildflagsure birthday today and last night she demanded I make a "really good" post for her for her birthday. She can't help it, she's from Greece but lives in the UK and what I have heard is immigrants there are always coming in and demanding things, it's why as a country they decided to set their economy on fire, because if you make your little island completely unlivable then no one will want to move there. Not that tactic I would have taken but then I try not be a hateful bigot, so who am I to talk? Anyway, besides blaming @wildflagsure for all of England's problems (and like… where was she when they lost the Empire? She can't account for her whereabouts) I do want to celebrate her birthday. By talking about myself. I mean, it is my blog, I tagged her twice, I am not sure how much more giving a person can be. I'll drive literally tens of people to her dead blog. Anyway, my favorite thought about Andi, which I will call her from here out because first I am tired of tagging and second I think it looks cooler with the E not on it but also it's short for Antigone and I can change a T to a D for a friend but I'll be dead and buried before I leave off the apostrophe if you insist on shortening Antigone to Anti'e. Anyway, my favorite thought is when she was doing a small radio show live (and doing it wrong, rather than use the service that paid for the songs rights they just played shit off of spotify because literally no one cared) I used to listen every week cause it was fun to support her but also she likes good music. There was a listener request form and I used to submit requests. I did this for a few reasons. One, I learned on tumblr every single person in the world wants more asks. It is exciting and makes them feel special. Also, by sending multiple requests or messages a show it meant they would seem very popular to other listeners and you know, fake it till you make it, that way everyone else would go, "Wow, these guys must be more famous than I realized. I should tell my friends to listen and also send in requests". And then, obviously, I like to control women and tell them what to do, so it was a real rush to send in a song title and then make her do it. Anyway, there was a time when the person she did it with referred to me as, "Our fan". And that got a snap back of, "Actually, is MY friend". It was very defensive and I appreciated that in part it came from the fact that her cohost was trying to diminish me in a way that person liked to do and Andi was willing to stand up and protect me even though honestly, I didn't care. She did, that mattered. I mean, there was a lot going on there because her cohost was one of those lowkey monsters you meet in your late teens and early 20's who you find compelling because you are too young to know better but also because you are insecure and the fact that they have absolutely no moral center is appealing because it sure must be nice to not be insecure and upset and worried about things all the time. Andi eventually moved on, don't worry. Actually, it's really cool to see that she has matured into just a totally cool as fuck lesbian bad ass. I mean, she was always those things but now she has the confidence and a really cool life that she always was going to have but I bet she was unaware of. Like, she has her own place, she has a hot girlfriend, she eats cool meals, and she can get you any drugs you want. It's pretty cool.
Anyway, today I am posting Georgia Ellenwood because in my experience Andi loves Olympic Athletes. She always goes on that she's glad someone is honoring Zeus properly. Now, sadly, Georgia Ellenwood is not going to the Olympics this year because she is still recovering from an injury. That kind of thing is always sad, athletes only have so many chances but I think she has a good future ahead of her even outside of sports because she is charming and friendly and well… looks like she does. It's not hard to imagine her being successful doing other things. And even if she felt like a good pick today because even if she isn't going to the Olympics I am willing to bet @wildflagsure would be willing to burn down a second island nation to sleep with her. Today I want to fuck Georgia Ellenwood.

hello pals! here is transcript ft photoshoot shots ‼️ @ohe-ohe @verb925
If Marie-Philip Poulin is the legend, Laura Stacey is the superstar. Where one is soft-spoken, reflective and intensely magnetic, the other is intuitive, forthcoming and absolutely electric. As they shatter records in their sport and lead change far beyond, these world-class athletes are writing a page of history, together.
At first, they fought it. Centralized in Calgary with the national team for months before being thrown into the pressure cooker in PyeongChang, Poulin was the seasoned captain and Stacey was vying for a spot on the roster for what would be her first Games. They shared teammates and friends and were apprehensive about upending the intricate and delicate alchemy it takes to win. They did everything they could to push their feelings out of their minds, all the while finding every way possible to spend time together. "There were so many emotions, and we just got very close during that time. It was a kind of snowball effect," Laura explains.
At the Olympics, Team Canada ultimately fell to the US to take home silver medals. Devastated, the pair parted ways. Laura went home to Toronto and Marie-Philip to Montréal. They didn't see each other and tried not to text. But hockey is a cyclical sport in which every ending yields a new beginning, so when the Canadian Women's Hockey League (CWHL) started up again in the fall, Poulin returned to Les Canadiennes de Montréal and Stacey to the Markham Thunder. "The first real moment was when we played against each other in Montréal," Stacey says. "We were still talking, and we knew there was something between us. After the game, she followed our team bus back from the rink, picked me up at the hotel and took me back to her apartment. Her parents were there, and I met them for the first time. It all felt really serious. When I asked her, she said she was done fighting it."
As it turns out, what came as somewhat of a surprise to Laura was anything but unexpected to Marie-Philip's mom, who'd understood the moment she saw her daughter look over at Laura at Canada House back in South Korea. A mother knows: Marie-Philip and Laura had found home.
At their next Olympics in Beijing in 2022, Team Canada triumphed, and Poulin cemented her legend by becoming the only player -- female or male -- to score in four straight Olympic gold medal games.
Marie-Philip Poulin is the greatest of all time, although she flashes a reluctant wince when she hears herself referred to as such. In her home province of Québec especially, she is a beloved, virtually untouchable figure. She is the quintessential sports hero -- wholly exceptional and genuinely approachable. Despite her countless appearances and endless interviews, she's always remained very discreet about her personal life, the furthest thing from a celesbian one would ever imagine. Only her most intimate circle (and perhaps her most avid fans) would have noticed two-time Olympic medallist and three-time world champion Laura Stacey flow seamlessly into her public life and crack open the window ever so slightly. But when they each posted sets of their idyllic engagement photos on Instagram in May 2023, their low-key romance made national headlines. "We just wanted to be ourselves, and we didn't realize how much of an impact the photos were going to have. They really blew up!" says Marie-Philip. Laura adds: " When we first posted we were engaged, people didn't even know we were together, so it hit us a little harder. But the way everyone has welcomed us is amazing. So many athletes feel uncomfortable coming out. For us, it happened organically. And there's so much positivity in the way everyone supports us."
That summer, Mark Walter Group and sports trailblazer Billie Jean King announced the establishment of the Professional Women's Hockey League (PWHL) and six charter franchises. For women's hockey players, it was the culmination of a dream after years of struggle. A month later, PWHL Montréal confirmed it had signed three-year deals with goaltender Ann-Renée Desbiens and forwards Marie-Philip Poulin and Laura Stacey. "I didn't want to sign and play in Montréal as a package deal because the team wanted to get her for sure," Stacey admits. And she made that very clear to the team's management. "The conversation went so well, but it was still scary for me because I knew I had something to prove." Since then, her intensity, heart, skill and dazzling plays have put any doubts to rest. "Looking back on these past few months, I can say it's been amazing."
When the puck dropped on the team's first-ever game on January 2, 2024, Laura scored her very first goal in the league and unintentionally went viral. It all happened in a split second: drive to the net, snipe, celly. The subsequent shot of her marking the moment with Marie-Philip, which became one of the most viewed photos from the PWHL, was swiftly reposted on X with the caption "score a goal and celly with your fiancé," prompting user MarcusA9393 to pointedly (read: homophobically) ask where the said fiancé was in the crowd since he "didn't see him behind the glass." Then came an impeccable reply that turned Marcus' mudslinging into an incandescent ray of sheer queer joy: "Her fiancée is #29 poulin. She's gay, Marcus."
The floodgates opened, and in no time there was a tidal wave of "She's gay, Marcus" bracelets, apparal of all sorts, stickers and fan art. Sellers started offering Stacey and Poulin's hockey cards as a pair. Did she realize her love would be the first person to throw herself in her arms? "No, we had no idea! It all went so fast. But what are the chances?" It was an instance that opened their eyes to the fact that there was a place for them as a couple and as professional hockey players. "We realized it was welcome. That respect for us together and as individuals has helped us open up a lot more. Our teammates, our coaching staff, our fans all support us. And Montréal has embraced us as a couple in a beautiful, crazy way," Stacey reflects. Her fiancée concurs: "At first, it felt like a lot after the engagement photos, but we took a step back and we saw we could connect with people. We quickly learned that it helps people be themselves. Fans are so happy to show us their bracelets and t-shirts and ask us to sign the photo. That connection happens because they feel they can be themselves around us. They cheer for us together, and that's very emotional for us."
Even so, there's a paradox, since they both make very conscious efforts to keep their hockey lives separate despite their matching collections of Olympic gold and silver medals and world championship titles. They don't have adjoining spaces in the dressing room; they don't room together on the road; they don't sit together when travelling with the team. Does that benefit them? The team? "That's actually something we take a lot of pride in," says Poulin. "When we get to the rink, we're there to work: to play hockey and win. There's a time and place for everything." Laura echoes the sentiment: "It's about respect for our teammates. When they're taping their stick and getting ready, they're not there for us as a couple. They want teammates who are ready to go to war with them. We're there to do the best job we can. If people want to spend time with us as a couple, they can come over for dinner."
Meanwhile at the rink, without getting deep into the the analytics, the sometimes linesmates ended the regular season tied as PWHL Montréal's highest scorers with 10 goals apiece (23 points for Poulin, 18 for Stacey) and proved to be a game-changing duo. But what happens when the puck isn't bouncing their way? "We didn't start on the same line, but we ended up playing together as time went on. That was a challenge," says Marie-Philip. "We're leaders on the team and we're very competitive so we want to be perfect. When one of us misses a play, we definitely take it out on the other." Laura nods emphatically and laughs: "Sometimes I tell her ' I can't make that play! You know who I am!', and she'll go 'No! You have to if you're playing with me!'" When asked if they're harder on each other than their other teammates, they reply "110%" in perfect synch.
On top of the ebbs and flows in their respective games, having to execute perfectly at critical junctures can take a toll. "There's a lot of pressure, and I feel it. It's on me, on her and on us," says Poulin. Her demeanour is unfailingly even keeled and, in many ways, true to the player she's shown herself to be in competition, naturally offsetting the challenges and perpetually rising above. "The fact that the pressure makes me stay on the ice and practice with my partner -- that we're always pushing each other -- just makes us better and more balanced players and people."
And what about the physicality of the women's game? While there's nothing that makes the game unsafe, there's a lot of jostling, body checking and contact along the boards. "When one of my teammates gets caught, I get fired up. But when it's Laura, my heart drops. I want to react and it's hard not to, but I can't," says Marie-Philip. Do they get chirped? "Oh yeah, for sure," Laura confirms, just as Marie Philip points out: "Less now."
In season, they're never apart. "We do everything together, but we like it," says Marie-Philip, who then turns her entire body towards Laura, reaches out to her and quietly asks with a smile: "You like it, right?" Laura beams at her and replies: "I love it." All captivating affinity aside, the fact remains that they constantly put their bodies on the line, and the grind can wear them down. Camps started in October and the hockey didn't stop until June. The many highs and upward trend of prepare, prepare, prepare was so physically demanding that there were times when all they could do was crash.
Having all eyes on them means they've learned when to ease up and when to zoom out. "We get on the bus together when everyone else is leaving their significant other. We travel the world together. We get to hear fans in Montréal cheer for us both together. We fight and push each other in the hard moments but when we get home, we close the door and realize how lucky and how happy we are," says Laura.
The talk eventually turns to April 20 at the Bell Centre in Montréal, when PWHL Montréal and PWHL Toronto set the world record for a women's hockey game in front of 21,105 fans. For the players and for so many in the crowd, the pregame introductions unfolded into a moving "I see you" moment. Under the lights and amidst tens of thousands of twirling white rally towels, the players stood at the blue line to finally take in the resounding ovation they'd earned and deserved. It was a powerful acknowledgement of their excellence, their hard work, their sacrifices and their fight. Their win was everyone's win, in hockey and far beyond. On the ice, Marie-Philip and Laura were standing side by side. "The sentiment that we all win together and the feeling of success cemented the fact that we're here to stay. It's so much more than a hockey league. It's a movement," Laura says. When Marie-Philip Poulin's name resonated in the arena, a deafening roar rose all the way up to the rafters: "It was all surreal. It was so loud, and I thought 'Wow, we did it.'"
But like all things, hockey careers -- even the most brilliant ones -- come to an end. With respect to their sport, they're both adamant about leaving it in a better place than they found it. At the same time, with their wedding only weeks away, Laura Stacey and Marie-Philip Poulin are just beginning to shape their family legacy, one whose reach is much broader than hockey and touches on representation, visibility, equality, diversity, women's rights, 2SLGBTQIA+ rights and human rights. It's something we tend to take stock of in retrospect, but they're writing their own page of history today. "We want people to have the same opportunities we've been given to be themselves and chase the dream of whatever it is they love," says Laura. That authenticity has become their hallmark. "W're always ourselves," says Marie-Philip. "People remember how you made them feel, not what you did. And that only happens when you're truly yourself."

Hello! Do you have a stance on whether the female category of a sport should be open for trans women to join? I've heard that the male category is actually an 'open' category, as well, meaning women and trans people are included automatically there, too, if they wish to compete there. I don't hear people mention that, though.
I remember watching a YouTube video by Samantha Lux on the topic that was actually really good. She discussed how tran women who've been on hormones for a while actually find their physical abilities start to line up more with cis women. One of the studies she showed took actual athletes before and after their medical transition and how their abilities change to match up with cis women athletes. If you want some good info on the topic, she's a good source to look into.
I am not super into sports so my own research is a bit lacking. But growing up I've always thought it was silly to have every sport segregated by gender. Again, I know very little, but the idea that golf needs to have men and woman categories baffles me. It just makes me think of that story of a teenage girl who struck out Babe Ruth or that Twitter post where they tried to make Serina Williams and a top male tennis player (can't remember off the top of my head) had the same number of wins and the male tennis player corrected them because Williams had a LOT more.
Like, there's a lot of instances where gender has been shown to not really matter for certain sports. And I find it dumb that we have to STILL keep them separated.
And none of that is including how hormones change physical characteristics.
Plus like... It's not WORTH it financially for a trans woman to compete in the women's teams. Women's sports are paid less, and have poorer quality of equipment. I remember reading an article about women's soccer fields having a much rougher grass than the men's field making it more dangerous if you fall. Like, if it was a whole "they can't win as men so they're gonna win here" it literally makes no sense. So it's not some ill intention thing, they just genuinely wanna compete with their same gender.
It goes even further too since every instance I've ever seen of someone complaining about a trans woman in a sporting event, she didn't even win! Showing even further that she doesn't have some step up. She just has a chance to win (and hopefully one day she will) along with all the other women there. But people just yell and complain as if these women are some boogie man when they're just people trying to be themselves. I've even seen people take cis athletes and claim they are trans women because they won and had athletic bodies instead of "feminine" ones. It all just leads to more women getting hurt instead of just uplifting everyone.
It just feels way more deep than it should be. Just let the woman be and compete with other women.
I've never heard of the "open" thing for the men's category before. Not sure if that's a thing. If it is, it's probably cuz no one knows about it. That, or people who try to go that route are forced out.

This is gonna be the wildest hyperfixation blend I’ve come up with BUT hear me out: Set in the basketball au, the gang travels to Britain for a game and after winning decide to stay a few days longer. But - it’s may. And it just happens that they’re right in time for the Coopers Hill Cheese Rolling And Wake event . Gojo (thinking ab it now would he be their coach in this au? ) sees this as a perfect opportunity to celebrate their victory with a potential new one .
While it’s a lot of fun it’s also incredibly dangerous (feel like at least one of them got concussed ) and they end up getting scraped up by Geto after reaching the bottom of the hill . Honestly I do think Toge would win
(Side note Nobara lowkey reminds me of the woman who won the womens league last year despite passing out, and still said she’d come next year again. Legend behavior .)(another note I’m so sorry on my lack of knowledge on sports the only ones I know about are stuff like this. I nevertheless love this au)
Tumblr media
So. Okay. Yeah. Okay.. I can see it, I see it.
So:
a) Shoko is actually the head coach in the basketball au. But I think Gojo was the coach of the men's team before the merge. Either he's on the coaching staff as an assistant of some kind. Or he got a promotion and works in the Athletic Director's office. Or he is the Athletic Director. idk. I think I want Nanami to be the Athletic Director??? Doesn't matter, he's around. And yes, he would suggest something like this.
b) May is definitely in the off season. Which actually makes this somehow more likely. They're in the UK for some exhibition tournament, sure why not. Couldn't do it from like Nov-Mar because they had regular season games and postseason games. Some off-season oversees marketing gimmick is definitely withing the realm of possibility.
Tumblr media
c) This however, is an absolutely insane thing for a sports team to do. Just actively seeking out injuries that could end their season or even their career. Cost them scholarships & opportunities. Risk their teams chances at a winning season, good tournament seeding, championship titles......
and yet
I do think it's something Gojo would suggest, and I do think they would pretty much all do it. Megumi might sit out. Unless Yuuji or Yuuta convinced him. Nobara would get overly competitive with Maki as a backwards flirting attempt. Maki would play along at first, then actually get really competitive back because she hates losing. They would both try to sabotage each other and end up both loosing their footing and tumbling down the hill together.
Yuuji would try to go as fast as possible, lose his footing and absolutely face plant into a rock or a tree (I assume there's not trees on this hill. I hope there are no trees on this hill.) He re-breaks his nose.
Panda would immediately tuck and try and roll down the hill like he is a wheel of cheese, but his cheese would veer off and run into someone else, knocking them out and he would make it to the bottom without his cheese (I'm assuming this disqualifies you?)
Megumi would literally walk.
Yuuta sits out. He wants to give the others a chance to win. He came here last year and absolutely decimated everyone, stayed on his feet, not a scratch on him. But no one else on the current team was on that trip so none of them actually know this, and he doesn't want to dim anyone's shine.
And Toge wins. He just kind of, survives at a decent pace. And the dude is good on his feet, what can you say.
Geto (who is also on the coaching staff) originally thought it was a bad idea (because it is) but honestly thought it would be really funny so didn't put up much of a fight. He helps them all up at the bottom with his charismatic little smile that basically means "you're all idiots, but this was very entertaining, and watching you whine about all your aches and pains on the plane ride home will also be very funny because I will give you so much shit" and then takes Yuuji to the hospital.
This was a very funny, very bizarre scenario, ty for the ask lol

Brain Curd #146
Brain Curds are lightly edited flash fiction - practically first drafts - posted daily (haven't missed one yet!) and sometimes written with the express intention of being terrible… but, you know, in an endearing way. Please like and reblog if you enjoy - the notes keep me going!
He's gonna be Frank with you. Read the rest of The Frank Program here on Tumblr!
“Ladies and Gentlemen, welcome back to the new-and-improved Frank Program! I'm Frank, over in the corner is my wonderful son, Daryl, and today our guest is a personal hero of mine, star athlete David Helper-Cummings! Welcome to the Program.”
“Good to be here, Frank, good to be here.”
“Be honest with me, David, you'd rather be competing in the Olympics, am I right?”
“I'd love to be able to compete in the Olympic Games, no doubt, but it just wasn't in the cards this year. Maybe next time.”
“I really do think you're good enough to win gold.”
“Thanks, Frank, but there's just been too much happening in my life lately. The affair, the divorce, I mean, you've heard about all that stuff. It's no secret. I can barely play right now. My short game is in the toilet.”
“You've still got the most impressive drive I've ever seen!”
“Sure, sure, I can still get the distance, but there's too much on my mind. I slice the crap out of it every time. It's really throwing me off.”
“Well'n, forget all of that. Let's talk sports in general. I'm really curious to know what ya think about some controversial topics.”
Daryl closed his eyes and shook his head.
Frank continued. “David, what's your take on transgenders in professional sports?”
“Hmm? What do you mean?”
“You know, men who make themselves look like women so they can get trophies.”
“Doesn't seem to me that a real man would do such a thing. That's downright embarrassing.”
Daryl spoke up. “That's not how it works. There are very specific requirements for -”
“Daryl, will you shut the fuck…” Frank caught himself and cleared his throat. “Daryl, you don't even like sports. Stay out of it. Ya got no business talking about things you don't understand.”
“But you don't -”
“Shh! Anyway, David, it's real and it happens. There was a boxing match between a woman and a transgender, and he beat the shit out of her in one round!”
“That's awful.” David scratched the side of his head. “Can't believe they'd let that happen.”
“Actually, Dad, neither of those women is transgender. The one everyone thinks is trans just has long arms.”
“You're too damn gullible, son. You believe everything you see online? I know more about this than you do.”
“Oh yeah? What are their names?”
“Huh? Who cares about their names?”
“Did you even watch the fight?”
“Pfft. Ain't nobody got time for women's boxing! Hahaha!”
Frank put his hand up for a high five and David quickly slapped it, but realized that might not be a good look.
“Uh, for the record, I respect women's sports. I rescind that high-five and would like to apologize to all the women athletes who were offended by it.”
“Aww, come on, Davey, have a little backbone! You got no spine, man, that's why you keep slicing!”
“Hey, I take offense to that, okay? I love women.”
“No kidding,” Daryl muttered under his breath. Frank glared at him.
“Alright, alright. Forget that topic. I've got another question for ya, David, if that's alright?”
“Yeah, uh, sure.”
“Do ya think we ought to have a separate basketball league for Whites?”
Daryl put his face in his hands and groaned. David looked at his watch and pantomimed shock.
“Oh, damn, Frank, look at the time! I gotta be going. I got a divorce hearing in a few minutes.” He got up from his seat and patted his pockets to make sure he didn't forget anything. “I'll see you around, okay? Alright.”
David Helper-Cummings was out the door before Frank could even react.
“What the hell?”
“You gotta stop making guests uncomfortable, Dad.”
“I didn't make him uncomfortable! You got him thinkin’ about PC and woke! It made him nervous to say what he wanted to say.”
“I couldn't let you spread misinformation…”
“Why the hell not? It's my show, boy.”
Daryl crossed his arms. “You want me here, you gotta treat me with respect. And quit lying.”
Frank sighed. “Whatever you say, your highness. Anyway, folks, this has been The Frank Program. Thank'ya much for letting me be Frank with you.”

Has your opinion of Sophia changed over the past year or so?
I was never a fan of her (work) and didn’t know much about her, but I did follow her on Instagram for a while and always respected her activism. She seemed like a nice person with a good heart.
Personally, I feel like over the last year she’s completely changed as a person and she seems really vindictive and fake. As someone who’s been a fan of hers for a while, do you feel the same way, or am I reading the situation wrong? I’m just very confused.
Yeah, to put in perspective, if it was based in the metric I use for social media, it fell from mostly positive, to mixed positive, sometimes getting in mixed negative. I mostly try to create a separation between the person and the brand (professional), I still like her brand, and still compliments her work as activist (minus the one about the women sports cause I think she is using her posititon as a gf of an athlete when she knows nothing about the hardships of being a pro athlete or covering sports in general), but right now, to me, as person, I am not so much fond of her and I think most of the criticism she is facing is justified, especially cause she is the one giving ammo to those by trying so desperately to prove she is happy or being passive aggressive about people she dislike. She is looking like those teenagers that suddenly becomes goth and says "this is the new me. It's not just a phase", when everyone knows it's just a phase, cause she is just passing through sexuality euphoria and phoenix syndrome. This is very common with LGBT people when they finally are able to come out of the closet and also after the bad year she had in 2023.
You are not wrong though, She sure changed a lot over the past months, have you seen the people she is hanging out with outside her older friends circle? It's pretty much a bunch of known entitled assholes and jackasses. It's people fans and restaurant workers complains a lot of bad behavior, one of them even dates a sexual abuser (Like how can you claim to be pro women's rights, and is friends with someone like this?)
But the thing is, every single person in this world had a bad year, especially, since the pandemic happened, and this is not an excuse for you to go around and be a jerk with people, calling them toxic or abusive, just because they don't act as you want them to or disagree with you or did something you didn't like it. And That's how she is pretty much acting with everyone around her that doesn't kiss her ass or her girlfriend's. To me, as a fan, this is hella annoying. she is dealing with this whole thing in a very immature way, especially taking in consideration that mostly of the stuff she posts in her IG about her personal life it's either a promo for her business or it's to attack some unknown bad person that probably is the mom of her gf's kids. At this point, I am begging one of her friends throws her phone away in the Valley to see if she can chill a little.
As by now, I still like her as an artist, I still think that this is just a rebelious phase, but most of the casual audience, thinks like you are thinking, and it seems that she doesn't understand (or simply don't give fuck about it) that her brand is what allows her to be an artist, and being an artist is what allows her to be an activist and have a voice, it's awesome that she stopped being a people pleaser, but being a brat and act like a lunatic won't help her either.

Hello! I saw that your character matchups are open and I'm interested in one, if that's okay with you! c:
It's my first time doing something like this so pray for me lol
Series: Jujutsu Kaisen
Matchup tone: Romantic
My pronouns: she/her
My likes: sports, writing, exploring/hiking/discovering new places/traveling, sightseeing, hanging out with people i cherish, dogs, reading, studying whatever sounds interesting.
I'm honestly not sure what to write in terms of personality, so i'll just drop in a few words that describe me, and if it'll help you some of these:
I'm a virgo & ENTJ.
Sincere, adventurous, dedicated, flexible, confident, cautious, straightforward, sometimes moody, sometimes can come off as closed off or defensive (only sometimes), and afterwards people usually discover that i mean no harm.
I'd like my partner to: bring out the fun & adventurous side of me, be a little more open than me, be rather similar (but obviously not completely identical) to me so we don't clash often, be athletic & energetic.
No-no characters: Cursed spirits (ex. Mahito, Sukuna), women (I'm romantically interested in guys), Panda (we chill but only platonically ykyk), Ijichi, Gakuganji.
And that's about it! Hopefully it wasn't too much hah, I tried keeping it short. I also hope I didn't mess up anything, but if I did, please let me know! It might take some time for me to answer but I certainly will. Super excited to see who I got!
Thank you! :D
JJK MATCHUP! ~ ♤
HUH? THIS IS YOUR FIRST TIME?? YOU DID AMAZING! gave me all the info I needed as well! So tysm! Hope you enjoy the matchup! It was as so hard bc I was thinking about gojo or yuta working well with you (for different reasons lol)
Your match up isss....
YUJI!
Tumblr media
It was either an accident him telling you he had feelings for you or it was you who told him ill be fr.
Both you and yuji bounce off each other super well! Both of you aren't perfectly the same, but that works even more considering he's a lot more extroverted and out there while you're more there to bring more logic to the table.
Actually
Yuji and you probably work out or go on walks together a lot. He finds working outore enjoyable with you, and it makes for more time he can also spend with you!
As much as hed love to go out often and share time under the sun he also understands and urges your to let him know when you really want a home day. He'll gladly oblige! He just needs you to tell him.
While most times are good, we can't deny arguments and disagreements are bound to happen l and when they do yuji is often the one who apologizes, but he does actively attempt to learn and grow the relationship.
Istg this man has brought a stray to your shared apartment at least twice, the reason being he couldn't just leave the little dude there!
I do feel like he wouldn't really call you pet names other than the normal babe every once in a while, but he usually prefers your name.
He also will go out of his way and learn a few things from whatever you're currently studying interested in so he could talk to you about them
He'll usually follow your moves if you need to run errands or head to the store he wants to come with you
Adding on to the one above he likes following behind you when it comes to shopping or being in busy places.
He'd definitely get you a bouquet that has more wild flowers in it, because those bouquets remind him of you.

Sarah Bouhaddi RMC Sports Interview
As I've said before, Bouhaddi and Lyon had a very complicated relationship even before Endler. She constantly made noises about wanting to leave so Lyon would look at other goalkeepers and so she would make noise about wanting to leave ... When she made the decision to go play in the US, Lyon finally broke free of the toxicity, and then when Bouhaddi came back she acted like Lyon was supposed to have put their ambitions on hold without her. Lyon is hardly a club without flaws but they do have enough self-respect to never cave to one player. Rules are rules.
Anyway, interview below.
BOUHADDI SPEAKS UP AFTER HER DEPARTURE FROM OL TO PSG: "I HAVE NOT DRAWN A LINE OVER THE FRENCH NATIONAL TEAM"
RMC SPORT Exclusive - After 13 years spent at Lyon (2009 - 2022) and eight Champions League trophies in hand, Sarah Bouhaddi left the Rhone for PSG. It's her first time speaking up since her arrival in Paris. The end of her Lyon story, her relations with Corinne Diacre with the French National Team (149 caps), the level of women's football in France ... No subject is off-limits.
It's your first time speaking up since you changed clubs. Let's go back to the start of your journey to PSG. Why did you choose PSG?
The Parisian sunshine! No, no I'm kidding. First of all, like everybody knows, I had gone to the United States to have a new challenge, which I found enormously satisfying. I was delighted. My return to Lyon did not happen like I could have imagined in terms of an elite athlete and competitor. Game time was reduced, even limited. The few times I could play, it was because of injuries. This didn't suit me at all as a competitor. I really felt that the door was closed in terms of the staff [changing their mind]. I wanted for the season to end with Lyon to see what I would do the following year, because I was still under contract with Olympique Lyonnais. Really quickly the coach called me to tell me the situation would say the same, knowing that I was sometimes the third choice goalkeeper, sometimes second choice. Knowing me that wasn't acceptable.
The discussions I had with my agent, it was to see if I was going to stay at Lyon and be okay with how others could be to be on bench and just receive a salary or look for another challenge which would fall in in life with what you want as an elite athlete. There was something very important in my decision: I had to stay in France for family reasons. There was the offer from PSG. It remains a high level club who always plays for the top places in the French league, who wants to win this Champions League. Those were in line with my expectations as an elite athlete, that's why I accepted. Finally, having seen Gérard Prêcheur sign with Paris Saint-Germain, who coached me when I was 14 [Gérard Prêcheur was head coach at the youth academy at Clairefontaine], that made things easier. Having a coach who knows me and is capable of giving me direction, that was an important criteria.
This end of the story with OL, did it make you sad?
Yes it's sad, but those are things that happen at the high level. I took a risk going to the US and leaving my place [as starter] to other goalkeepers. We were obviously going to replace me and that's normal. The saddest thing, it's that the departure happened a little bit, how to say this, like a thief in the night. Because I left from one day to the next from Lyon. I did not say goodbye to my teammates, to the fans, even to the president. When you have spent so many years at a club and have given so much, that was the hardest thing. But as I said, that's just sports at the top level. One day you are there, the next you are gone. I had the chance to play with really great players who thanked me and sent messages. It was really touching. After that, even for a small reunion, a little goodbye party to say goodbye to the directors and those who work around us [eg ground staff], that's very important.
It wasn't possible for you to finish your career under those conditions?
It wasn't even a question of being on the bench. It was to know whether there was the option to compete [for a starting spot]. As soon as June they called me to say that the next season there would be no competition and that option to compete [for a starting spot] was off the table. Why would I be hitting a wall month after month knowing I deserve something else and better? PSG is an elite club, it's not a default choice, it's also a choice I felt strongly about. I'm happy to be here.
Are you still after wins and titles?
Yes, I still want to win titles, that won't be easy. But I really want to go win titles be it in the league, the Coupe de France, or even the Champions League. The first match in the Champions League against Häcken, hearing the music did me a lot of good. To be back on the field, that makes me happy. I'm trying to find my footing little by little and settle in bit by bit. I try to bring to the maximum my experience, be it to the directors or to the players, because I have lived through a lot. That's what I was trying to bring to the team. Some, I go after because they're laughing, I try and bring rigor on a daily basis, that's how you go win titles.
Is this the last challenge of your carrier?
I have no idea. Today, I am 36 years old, I live it day by day. It's how I perform that will dictate my future. I'm not going to stay on the field just to be on the field, I want to perform well and bring something to the group, that's what will guide me bit by bit.
This season, can the PSG win all three competitions?
We can see in terms of the French league it's really close between the first three teams [Lyon - 25 points; PSG - 23 points; Paris FC - 18 points]. There are no easy games, all the teams are struggling to win more than 3-0 or 4-0. It's good for the league to have closer matches like that. The Champions League and Coupe de France, those are achievable if you get past the group stage. You can to believe, work for it. It's the collective which is our strength. We have a young team, some are discovering the top level and the collective strength which you need to have, and the staff, that's going to be very important.
What are your views on the level of the French league compared to other European leagues?
Other nations are investing a lot in the development of women's football, stadiums are filling up, there is a fair amount of publicity. We need to use that to develop our football here. I don't think we're falling behind. Now, there are some good questions that need to be asked so we are level with these other teams. You also have to look at the calendar, the game time. When you are playing at 7pm and you want to come with your family, it's not easy. It doesn't matter if it's during the week, or Sunday afternoon or Sunday night. There are people high up in the Federation, in the clubs, who have to have these conversations. But I don't think it's up to me, as an athlete, to have that conversation.
What stood out for you in your experience in the US?
Over there, the league consists of teams being equal from the first team to the bottom team. All the great players go there to have a homogenous league [news to Hegerberg I guess]. The year I was there, it was one of the most competitive years. We may need to consider how to introduce parity to our league. Today, it's like this: the big players are all at PSG and Olympique lyonnais. The small teams, as the saying goes, fight to stay up in the league. Something needs to be put in place to help the day-to-day of those teams. Be it that they become professional, that they can make a living in this discipline. They shouldn't have to get up in the morning and say to themselves: "this evening, I have training." I experience that myself at Juvisy and I know it's not easy [Bouhaddi played there before being offered a pro contract with Lyon]. Something needs to be put in place so things become progressively more professional. In the US, it's a culture, a desire to market these [sporting] events. There also needs to be the time and means to do that. We see it whether it's with the French National Team, Lyon or PSG: when there are big clashes, the public shows up.
March 4, 2020, that's the date of your last call-up with France. Do you miss the national team?
Obviously. Wearing the national French jersey, when you are French and a competitive athlete, it's what there is best. Now, I made a choice which matters to me and which was important for my personal and even physical integrity, because I had gotten to a sensitive point with the staff and the coach. As soon as I set foot on the pitch, I need to feel there is 100 percent confidence in me. That's what I have always said. This confidence didn't go both ways, and it fell apart after the World Cup. I'll say it again: with Corinne Diacre, there were no problems prior to the World Cup. During the months and years together, the relations were peaceful. It fell apart afterwards and that's a shame.
People parroted Amandine Henry's interview. Me, I don't regret it, but I would maybe have done some things differently. The manner was perhaps a bit controversial, but I think that when we did it, we were at the end of our rope. It's difficult psychologically and we felt we only had that option. It's a shame. It's been almost two years since I've been in the French National Team and I think it's a shame that, since then, we haven't even been able to talk to try and find middle ground. That I get a call-up or not, it's a choice. But I think it's a shame to leave it on a disagreement.
Have you given up on playing for the French National Team?
I have not given up on the French National Team. I'll repeat it: the day I get called up to the French National Team, it's because they have 100 percent trust in me and believe in me. If tomorrow Corinne Diacre calls me up with her staff and tells me "we want a fresh start, and we have faith in you", there will talks. And I will be ready to listen. But if there's no trust in me and they just want me for the results I will give them on the field, I will not bring anything to the team. Trust is so important to me and it's a very important principle.
Have you tried reaching out to Corinne Diacre?
To be honest, reach out on the phone, no. I sent a message to Corinne Diacre when I got back from the US in October 2021. I didn't receive a response. It's a choice she made. Maybe she felt it wasn't necessary to talk with me, I accept that. Today, I do my job at Paris Saint-Germain, I try to be productive. If one day she wants to talk with me and we'll go in the same direction, it'll happen. If she feels today that it is not necessary, I'll wait...
Can the French National Team be World Champions next summer?
From what I hear today from the French National Team, it's that Corinne [Diacre] has evolved, the staff has evolved. The atmosphere is completely different from what we knew during the World Cup. It's been two years now since I haven't been with the national team, so I can't speak about what is going on internally. I hope that the French National Team wins a title because that's what is missing for this country to go be competitive with other leagues. What is important is what is happening on that grass rectangle. What happens outside of it, that's not important.

Love In The Water
swimmer! Ari Levinson x female trainer! reader
Sport: competitive swimming
Decade: 1980s
Summary: Being Ari's swimming coach is more difficult than you thought. Until there is a little confession.
Word count: ~1.9k
Warnings: actually pretty fluff, minor smut, mention of pregnancy [still 18+, minors do not interact and please leave my blog]
A/N: Entry for @syntheticavenger In it to win it Challenge. Congratulations on your 11k🥳🎉This challenge was so much fun. Thank you for organizing this, helping me out and giving me the courage to post this after my long break here ❣️ I chose the song "Africa" to add a little spice to it.
Enjoy!
Tumblr media
Annoyed, you took another look at your watch. Ari was never able to be on time. He was probably curing his hangover once again.
Frustrated, you sat down at the edge of the swimming area and put your feet into the cool clear water of the pool. For 2 months you had already been Ari Levinson's swim trainer and he was already getting on your last nerve.
It was relatively quiet here. Some other athletes were training alone. But yours didn't even manage to be on time for the guided workouts.
A few minutes later, Ari came sauntering out of the club house with one hand loosely in the pocket of his swim shorts and a cup of coffee in the other.
"You're late." You said angrily when he finally arrived at your place. If there was one thing you couldn't stand, it was Ari's outstanding ability to be inattentive and flippant in any situation. It was important to stick to the training schedule and there wasn't much time left until the next competition. Only hard work could still turn the situation around.
Ari sipped his coffee in a leisurely manner.
"It's only eleven minutes. Lighten up, it's a beautiful day, no need to stress."
Arguing wouldn't do any good, so you just decide to get on with it.
"You know you shouldn't wear those loose swimming shorts. They increase your resistance in the water and just make you slow."
"Yeah I know, but those Speedos are so tight down there." he whined like a little kid and didn't take you seriously.
Your patience was wearing thin. You snatched his coffee cup out of his hand.
"Hands out of your pockets and into the water. 11 lanes. One for every minute late. And that's not counting as a warm-up yet. Move out."
Ari wanted to reach for the radio, because he loved to listen to music while swimming. You could not understand it, because through the water hardly any sounds came through to him, but he said he liked it especially when the sounds were slightly muffled. You took the radio out of his reach.
"If you'd been on time, you'd be listening to music now."
Finally, Ari obeyed and got into position on the starting block while you lined up at his level on the poolside.
"Front crawl, bilateral breathing, after every third stroke. On my signal.
3...2...1." Vigorously blowing the whistle, you started the stopwatch. Ari lunged forward and dove into the water like an arrow.
The training went sluggishly. Ari kept swimming his penalty laps and warm-up fast and technically clean.
Later, however, his technique became sloppy, arrhythmic and he made mistakes.
With another blow of the whistle you signaled Ari to stop after the current lane.
You just had to vent your frustration.
"Levinson, where are you with your thoughts?" Sighing, you pinched your bridge of your nose.
"Why so tense, coach?"
"Tense?! That's an understatement. Practice with you is a disaster. You're always late, unfocused, and don't follow my instructions as a coach. You're only at the club parties in the evenings, constantly flirting with other women, probably still hooking up with them, and that's why you're not in shape in the morning. How are we ever going to make progress like that?" Your voice was getting steadily louder.
Ari only responded to your harsh criticism with a grin.
"Is someone jealous?"
"Pretty thin ice, Levinson. I wouldn't mind throwing my job out on the line."
Only now did he seem to realize how serious you were. His grin disappeared, and with a flourish he pulled himself up on the edge of the pool and stood in front of you, dripping wet. The light was refracted in the many small drops of water so his skin glistened in the sun.
"You know what? We're going to stop the training here. If you can't take me seriously, there's no point. I want you to do your stamina training now and the weights training in the afternoon. Then, if we can work together like professionals again, I'll see you back here this evening."
You turned on your heel and even Ari calling your name couldn't bring you back.
You needed time to cool down and had been swimming in the sea yourself. Swimming against the waves and the surf was more to your liking. It was more natural, not like in a calm chlorine-rich pool. You let the setting sun dry your skin.
In the evening you entered the area of the swimming club. By now all the athletes and coaches had gone home. Only Ari was sitting on one of the starting blocks waiting for you. He looked as bad as you felt.
"I'm sorry. I shouldn't have yelled at you or stopped the session. That was unprofessional."
For once, it was easy for you to apologize. Your mistake was clear to see. Even if you could never admit that Ari was right.
You were jealous. First and foremost, you couldn't understand how much focus and ambition he put into flirting. Something that didn't seem possible in training.
Maybe there was more, but you couldn't and didn't want to let it get closer to you. A liaison between coach and athlete was highly... problematic.
"It's okay." Ari brushed back his long hair. He looked nervous, too. "As for the other women, you may be wrong, but it's true that my concentration is slipping. I don't notice it until I'm already completely out of rhythm. Can you show me what I'm doing wrong as soon as the first mistake sneaks in?"
"Like in the water?"
"You've been training me for a while, but you haven't been in the pool with me once. You're not a non-swimmer, are you?" He provoked you teasingly.
"All right, but only if you behave yourself and at least try to carry out my instructions this time."
"I'm quite the perfect gentleman, and I swear it." Ari's reappearing smirk was a sign that the mood was tilting back to the positive. This time you even allowed him to turn on the radio.
You slipped out of your sweater and track pants. The high-leg-cut swimsuit you wore underneath was currently in fashion but not exactly the most professional attire for professional swimmers. But it had to do for today. Ari and you enter the water. You let him swim ahead and stopped him whenever you had to correct something. At first you felt his muscles tense up when you put your hand on his chest, arms and legs and showed him how to improve his posture and movements.
You couldn't deny that Ari's body was in great shape. His muscular system was dense and strong. Sometimes you felt his gaze on you as well and you wondered if he was listening to you at all. But indeed the exercises worked and you were sure that Ari's performance showed improvement.
He did a few more laps, which you watched partly from above the water surface or from below. You swam after him and you met at the end.
"It's all right Levinson. I don't mean to exaggerate, but I think that was the most productive coaching session so far."
"Did you just retroactively call me lazy?" asked Ari, offended.
Lunging with your arm, you splashed water in his face. He tried to avoid the attack by diving down and grabbing your foot underwater. You refrained from kicking him, because you didn't want to hurt him either.
Gently he pulled you to the edge of the pool until you felt the tiles in your back.
"You know, as for my morale in training. It's not because of other women, it's because of you. I can feel exactly how you're observing me. It's distracting to me."
You stiffened as you struggled to keep your head above water on your own in the confined space. He pressed even closer to you, his warm breath colliding with your cool skin, and you held on tighter to his shoulders.
"Relax, I've got you." Gently he guided your legs so they wrapped around his hips and he carried you.
"What...what are you trying to tell me?"
Your brain was so fogged by Ari's presence. You could barely hear Toto’s “Africa” warbling from the radio.
Hurry boy, she's waiting there for you
"You are strong, clever and passionate. You brighten every day for me. I think I'm in love with you."
It's gonna take a lot to drag me away from you
You saw his Adam's apple move heavily as he swallowed, as if he had just relieved himself of a great burden.
His honesty gave you the courage to say the following words.
There's nothing that a hundred men or more could ever do.
"You were right, Ari."
"About what?" he asked curiously, his brows furrowed.
"I'm jealous."
You let your lips crash down on his. Almost greedily he returned the kiss and your body heated up in the fire of pleasure and desire. It was as if months of built-up tension were released with a loud boom, like a thunderstorm.
I bless the rains down in Africa
Gonna take some time to do the things we never had
Hectically you tried to get your hand down Ari's waistband. You wanted to feel him. You needed to.
"Wait wait wait…” For a brief second you were confused that Ari stopped you. “I want you, but not here and not like this. Not with the risk of drowning or getting caught by the security. You deserve to be loved on the softest of beds. Ma-... May I take you home… with me?" he sounded like he was afraid you might refuse.
You kissed him again. Much slower but also more sensitive this time.
"If you promise to stay as focused as you were during today's training, you may take me anywhere in the world.”
You two laugh at this like little joking children.
Gently, Ari maneuvered you both to the nearest ladder and climbed out of the cold pool while you still clung to him. He let you go only to put a soft towel around you. Carefully he stroked your arms and back to dry you. Again he lifted you bridal style, the feeling of his thick arms was soothing. And just like that Ari carried you to his nearby home where he showed you detailedly what you secretly meant to him.
2 years later
"Remember, stay focused. When you change direction, push off hard, use the push you gain but don't get too close to the wall either. Understood?" You did not get any reaction.
"Ari? Are you actually listening to me?" You asked again, louder this time.
"Yeah yeah, concentration, Push off hard, use the push but not too close to the wall." he replied casually, as he put on his goggles causing an eye roll on your part. It was and always would be the same trouble with him.
Despite the everyday hassle you were so damn proud of him, even if he didn't like to hear it and always stressed that it was only because of his amazing coach. However, there was also a lot of pressure on both of you, more of on him. This competition was important. If Ari could at least make it to the top-3, it would make him the most successful swimmer of the year.
The judges got into position and signaled the competitors to get on the starting blocks.
Ari gave you a quick kiss on the forehead, but before he could turn away, you stopped him.
"Make me proud, Ari. Make us proud." While you clasped his hand with yours, your other hand rested protectively on your lower abdomen.
Ari lowered himself to one knee and kissed the slight curve of your belly.
"I promise."

Radfems don't want trans people to die...they just want to keep biological males out of female spaces. And for there to be more awareness, treatment options, and support for women and girls who are dysphoric/detransitioned. Body mutilation and cross sex hormones are not the only ways to treat gender dysphoria. Women are not your enemy. But, I think you know that because deep down you are still one.
Bold to come to me on a day where I'm already in a sour mood.
First and foremost what is a biological male? How can you just look at someone and know "oh yes, that person has XY chromosomes, secondary sex characteristics consistent with higher androgen levels, small gametes, "male" external genitalia, etc?"
I'll give you a clue: you can't. Because cis women have been attacked in their own bathrooms. Because a trans dude got attacked in the bathroom that matches his "biological sex". Or, what's funniest to me, when people post pictures of cis women actors as bait to make radfems look the fool.
Also what is a "biological woman?" Where do we draw that line? Cause we've seen cis black women get taken out of sports due to androgen screening -- you know, to try and keep "biological males" out of women's sports. Which I still call bs cause like. Olympic level athletes have very specific mutations that make them good at their sport, be it producing less lactic acid or lungs that are abnormally big.
Are we gonna judge by one's ability to carry a fetus? Well no, of course not. Because then you're claiming infertile people, people who have had hysterectomies, or people post-menopause aren't women.
And did you know there are as many intersex folks as there are redheads in the world? But a lot of those people don't even realize it because it's to do with their hormones or chromosomes, not something super obvious unless they've been tested specifically for it. So should we start doing chromosome checks to screen for people who aren't "biological women".
But no, we know what you're talking about. It's about looking between a baby's legs and that gender marker on their birth certificate. Well, there are intersex and even cis babies that get forcibly assigned female. David Reimer, I'm so sorry I keep dragging you into this. I swear I'm going to summon him and be haunted at some point. But he's proof the little f on your records is bullshit.
Okay, well what about being socialized as a girl growing up? Putting aside the fact that socialization is ultimately a very individual thing where not all women will experience the same stereotypical "female" experiences (hi it's me. I've never in my life been sexually harassed and I didn't realize I'm trans until I was 19) -- well, how do you argue against trans women who realized and started to transition when they were very young?
So pray tell, what is a "biological male" anon? Genuinely tell me because I don't know. And how do you plan to weed them out without hurting women in the process?
Now for the next bit of bs. God I love to see a radfem hiding behind detransitioned trans folks like it's some sort of gotcha.
First, a link so you know I'm not talking out of my ass:
https://www.gendergp.com/detransition-facts/
Now, let's talk. People who detransition? Are a very, very, very small minority of people in the world. We're talking about a tiny fraction of a sma but not insignificant fraction of the world population. The biggest study done to date said 8% of 28000 people (so less than 2500 folks) experienced some kind of detransition. Important words there: some kind. Maybe it was a total detransition, maybe not. Now, out of those 2500 folks, 62% were only detransitioning due to outside pressures -- family, finances, what have you. They didn't want to detransition. They just didn't have a choice. That leaves about 1000 folks who realized they weren't trans after all. That's such a small amount of people, and without us even going into where they were at in transitioning when they desisted. How many of them were socially transitioning, medically? How many had surgery? I don't know cause I'm not looking that deep atm.
And here's the thing about hormones and surgery. Little kids? They don't get access to it. Young teens? Generally told to wait and work through it, maybe with the help of puberty blockers to give them time to think and process. Puberty blockers that, btw, have been used on cis kids for ages now.
Older teens may get access to hormones if they have super supportive parents, which come on. We know that's a minority. Like, let's be realistic here. Trans people as a whole aren't so accepted to get access to medical transitioning without a ton of hoops to go through. And surgery? Ha, if you think teenage girls are just gonna be able to lop their breasts off with any sort of ease, what Kool aid have you been drinking? Seriously I want some. We are talking about a medical institution that won't let full grown women get their tubes tied until they're married, have kids, and get their husband's permission.
And is there sometimes regret with shit like top surgery? Yeah, there is. Sometimes it has to do with a lack of knowledge, like that a quarterish of top surgeries need some sort of revision to really make someone feel right. I learned that literally yesterday. Sometimes it's just regret.
But by the time most people are old enough to get top surgery they're adults. And I think we can allow adults to make their own decisions. Plus, so what if a woman has no tits? There's plenty of women who lose them due to shit like breast cancer. Insinuating that mastectomy is mutilation without actually talking to someone who calls it that for themselves is gross.
And finally. I'm not a woman. Fuck you and the duck you waddled in on.

Andrew Ford was questioned and fetishized when he came out as bisexual. The gay community insisted he wasn’t being honest with himself; women at clubs started to excitedly fantasize about hooking up with two guys at the same time.
All the while, the soccer standout stayed true to himself. Ford came out his freshman year at Malone University, a small Christian liberal arts college in Canton, Ohio — home of the Pro Football Hall of Fame. His friends and teammates were accepting, which was an incredible relief. But his journey into the LGBTQ community was a little more rocky.
“I got a lot of pressure from the gay community,” Ford told me recently on the phone. “I felt like I was misunderstood, and didn’t know who I was.”
Ford is one of an increasing number of openly bisexual college-aged athletes whom we’ve profiled recently on Outsports. Despite some surveys showing more Americans identify as bisexual than either gay or lesbian, there is a dearth of bi visibility in pop culture and sports.
As bi sportswriter Jeff Rueter challenged me: “name a bisexual man, and don’t say Frank Ocean.”
These kick-ass kids are going to change that.
Biphobia is real
Let’s start here: Biphobia is real. It manifests itself in gestures as seemingly fleeting as dismissive jokes, and actions as harrowing as outright physical violence. Bisexual people typically suffer significantly higher rates of depression and anxiety, domestic violence, sexual assault, and poverty than lesbians, gay men, or straight cisgender people, according to the Human Rights Campaign.
A black-and-white society, most of us grow up with the notion people are either straight or gay. Those attitudes have historically prevailed in the LGBTQ community, too.
Alex Keuroghlian, the Director of the National LGBTQIA+ Health Education Center at the Fenway Institute, says bisexual people can be looked at skeptically.
“Within LGBTQIA+ communities, there has historically been a stigma toward bisexual people, and the false notion that they’re really gay and lesbian people who haven’t accepted that about themselves,” he said.
Megan Duthart, a rower at Washington State University who identifies as both bi and queer, has experienced the stigma first-hand. She says she thinks bisexual people are often excluded in the LGBTQ community.
“I’ve struggled a little bit with being identified as an ‘other’ in the community with the term ‘bisexuality,’” she said.
Why are bi people targeted for erasure?
More people are identifying as bisexual. Over three percent of U.S. adults say they’re bi, according to the 2018 General Social Survey. That’s three times the number as 2008.
And yet, bi people are still targeted for erasure. One of the ways it happens is through language. When people see same-sex couples, for example, they may be inclined to label them as “gay” or “lesbian,” without considering that one or both of the people could identity as bi.
While Americans’ attitudes about sexuality are evolving, many still adhere to more binary definitions of sexual orientation. A recent YouGov poll found 41 percent of American adults don’t think sexuality is a spectrum (conversely, 37 percent think it is).
As Ford puts it, bisexuality is stereotypically viewed as “the stepping stone stage.” That ties into one of the more insidious aspects of bi-erasure: the belief that it’s just a phase. It’s a line Ford recalls hearing many times, from both men and women.
“(Gay men) said, ‘I came out as bisexual first. It’s just a phase, you won’t be there long,’” Ford said. “I was also scared how women would think about it. They wanted to change me. Some of them wanted to use it as a thrill they were seeking.”
When professional hockey player Zach Sullivan came out as bi, his father told him it meant he was still making up his mind.
“I remember what my dad said when I told him,” Sullivan said. “‘Well, you aren’t all the way there. You haven’t really decided.’ I was like, ‘no, I know I’m attracted to both genders. I’m not halfway towards coming out as gay.’”
The bi burden
Every LGBTQ person can relate to the fear and anxiety of coming out. But for most of us, once we do it, it’s over.
That’s not the case for bi people.
“We have to keep coming out to our significant others, whether it’s a man or a woman,” Ford said. “If you’re gay and you start dating a gay, you’re not going to be like, ‘I have to tell you something: I’m gay.’ They’re going to be like, ‘no shit.’”
And once bi people do come out, they could get charged with being greedy — the sexual equivalent of having their cake and eating it, too. The insult angers Sullivan.
“The majority of people in the LGBT+ community have struggled with their sexuality, and when they finally become comfortable enough to come out in the open with their sexuality, I don’t think the first thing to say to someone who’s come out as bisexual is they’re greedy,” Sullivan said. “I took over 10 years to get to where I am.”
Duthart finds the concept of bisexuality can be difficult to explain. She largely identifies as queer.
“I’ve had coaches question whether I’m rebelling or going through a phase,” she said. “Then when I explain the whole queer aspect, they’re like, ‘Oh, OK. That seems more justified.’ I don’t want to have to justify those things, but I sort of have to.”
Changing attitudes
Jack Storrs came out as bisexual last year as a college football captain. His teammates at Pomona-Pitzer rallied around him, and wore Pride decals on their helmets.
But even some who were supportive suggested he was on his way to identifying as gay. Storrs said he couldn’t hide his feelings for men anymore, and came out because he wanted to explore.
Maybe he was gay, maybe he wasn’t. The questions didn't bother him. He was a relieved to have the dialogue.
“It was killing me on the inside,” Storrs said. “It got to the point where I was like, ‘screw it.’ This is who I am, and this was meant to be.”
Nowadays, Storrs says he’s more towards the “gay end of the spectrum,” and expects the fluidity to continue.
He’s cool with that, and numbers show his peers are, too. Generation Z is among the most progressive and diverse in U.S. history. A 2018 study from Ipsos Mori shows only 66 percent of young people today identify exclusively as heterosexual.
Young people have a better understanding of how sexuality can evolve, says Keuroghlian.
“There’s been less of a reflex to box people in, and categorize people in ways that could be static,” he said. “A key part of all of this is not projecting behavior or projecting attraction. People tell us — they self-identify that’s who they are. And we have to honor that.”
Visibility challenges misperceptions
But to get back to Rueter’s question: can you name a famous out bisexual person besides Frank Ocean?
It’s challenging, and the lack of bi visibility may be one of the biggest contributors towards bi-erasure. But that is changing. Each person who comes out as bisexual has the ability to change perceptions within their own communities — and many young athletes are.
Bri Tollie, a bisexual college basketball player at Southern Methodist University, wrote in her coming-out story she refuses to conform.
“It is important to be visible because everyone is unique,” she wrote. “Our uniqueness means no one should not have to give up a part of themselves to conform. It is called self-respect.”
Growing up, Storrs tried to shut off his attraction to guys. He told himself it wasn’t a big deal, but the angst became all-encompassing.
Storrs is done hiding any part of himself. He did that for far too long, and is now out for all to see.
“I am bisexual, and my point is, I don’t really give a shit what anybody else thinks,” Storrs said. “This is who I am, and I don’t have to figure it out, but the reason I’m coming out is to figure it out, or at least get to a point where I’m comfortable.”
With their stories, these young bi athletes are making it more comfortable for bi people every single day.

________
You spent the rest of your evening like a somnambulist, barely able to concentrate on your projects before you went to bed, barely finishing half of the things you planned for today. Even the change of locks didn't make you as happy as you thought it would. It felt like something between a dream and a nightmare.
Lying in the dark, you stared at the ceiling, thinking of what happened just a couple of hours ago. Why did he do it? Was it just out of habit and didn’t mean anything? Naturally, with his appearance and easy-going attitude, he probably dated many girls and didn’t think much before kissing someone he liked.
Remembering the way he talked to you in the morning, you thought he must have pretended to be shy around you. Thor certainly wasn’t sheepish.
Was it all a sham? Was Loki right about all of them, playing their roles to get close to you? You couldn’t forget the way Thor looked the moment he told you about being smart. It was like something switched inside him, and for a second you saw the real Thor who was far from being your simple, good-natured athlete.
Why did you keep thinking about that stupid kiss even after seeing the man could be dangerous?
Aroused and angry, you tossed and turned until you fell asleep.
____________
Waking up was especially tough, despite the fact you didn't really do much yesterday, meaning you were going to spend your weekend studying. Shoot, and that's when you planned to visit that new chocolate boutique in the city. Maybe you could still make it if you spent more time studying today?
But then again, going to the city alone might be a bad idea. Even if the guys who stole your things were beaten, it didn't mean it had always been the same people following you. The school was full of weirdos, in the end. What if somebody went after you? Steve would definitely say you had to bring one of your guards with you.
Damn. It was better staying in the dorm then.
"Good morning! Are you ready?" Peter's voice broke through the silence, and you flinched, hurriedly applying some lipstick because you didn't have enough time to put your makeup properly.
Well, at least you were fully dressed.
"Just give me a second!" Picking up your bag, you put your shoes on and opened the door, looking at a young guy who's face was lit up like a Christmas tree. "Hi!"
He definitely liked what he saw, and you felt your cheeks growing hot from embarrassment. From the very start of the semester Peter acted very sweet around you, and you thought you could be friends with him. He wouldn't do something as ugly as blackmailing, would he? Thor said it too. Clearly, Steve was exaggerating.
"Did you sleep well? I've heard you changed your lock, so now it'll be better."
"Ugh, I hope so. But I still sleep with my dresser blocking the door." Sighing, started walking, afraid to look in the faces of other students, hurrying off to school.
They must have been disgusted, watching you being friendly with one guy after being all lovey-dovey with the other just yesterday. Although you didn't see anyone in particular, you were sure somebody saw Thor kissing you. And now you were walking the corridors with Peter.
"By the way, what's your Insta?"
What? Your Instagram? Whatever for? Although you had no idea why he needed it, you let him add you, by the time leaving the dorm and walking towards the main building.
Suddenly, Peter got pretty close, his arm on your waist as he lifted up his phone and hummed, "Look here and smile!"
Before you realized what he was doing, the boy kissed your temple, and you heard the sound of a photo being taken by his front-facing camera. What the Hell?!
"Peter!" Pissed at him, you quickly break free and stepped back, but he was already looking at his phone, editing the photo and posting it almost immediately.
You heard your phone buzz when he marked you on the photo.
"That's a good one. You look very cute here."
"What are you doing?!"
"Making a proof we're dating, of course?"
You were taken aback by the sincerity in his voice, and Peter smiled from ear to ear like an excited teenager, showing you the picture: it wasn't that bad, and you looked as if you were slightly embarrassed by Peter's closeness. Oh, of course. He had to convince his friends he was dating you, but he didn't kiss you on the lips that could make other people too suspicious. Instead, friends of Barnes or, say, Thor, would still think it was all for show, and it was their friend who dated you for real.
Shit, Steve's plan was incredibly complicated, and you didn't like it at all.
"Oh, alright." You mumbled, lowering your eyes to the ground, and Peter laughed.
"We'll make a TikTok dance later. If you wanna make people talk, just use your social media." He winked at you and put the phone in the pocket of his pants, resuming walking, and you moved along, your face still hot.
God, what did these guys got you into? You felt like you were lost in the middle of a play, not even having a script to read what was your role in all this.
Before you parted your ways, going to a different classrooms, Peter talked about videogames, the upcoming Resident Evil - apparently, his favorite franchise - and some Dota tournament, but you didn't know much about it, and Peter offered to show you his favorite games "because you can't spend all your time studying!"
He was as careless and sweet as always, but you couldn't get Steve's words out of your mind. Damn, if only you could know for sure that Peter didn't blackmail anyone. Who could you talk to about it? Obviously, not Peter himself, but every time he spoke you had that nagging feeling you needed to talk to him. You barely kept your mouth shut before he went to a different room.
Ugh, why didn't you transfer anywhere else when you still had a chance? Obviously, now you could only drop out of school, and it definitely wasn't something you were going to do.
Luckily, the next couple of hours you were busy with your classes, trying your best to prepare for the upcoming exams. The academy held high standards, and even though you were a good student, it still took lots of efforts to keep up the good work. How Thor even managed to get enrolled, judging by the fact he hated studying and often skipped classes?
Ah yes, he mentioned something about getting a scholarship from the academy for his success in the sport.
By the lunch time you were drained, listening to Peter chatting with an absent-mindedly epxression on your face. Funny enough, Peter's grades were better than yours, even though he spent much less time studying. What, was he some genius like Loki? You felt a little envy.
"I gotta go take my tracksuit, I have PE next," the boy said, and you nodded, throwing away the leftovers of your lunch.
As you stood close while he grabbed his sportclothes, you heard two guys talking behind the lockers to your right.
"Have you seen her today? She's with Parker!"
You tensed immediately. Of course, they were talking about you.
"Yeah, so what?"
"She was with Thor yesterday!"
Watching you froze on the spot, Peter stilled too, listening carefully. Oh shit, you hoped no one cared about who you went with - why should they, in the end - but, apparently, you were drawing too much attention simply because you were a girl among hundreds of male students.
"So what?" The other guy asked impatiently, growing tired of this conversation.
"Are you stupid? She's going out with them! I bet she's looking for a guy." The first student said with excitement, and you cringed. No, you weren't going out with anyone, you wanted to stop the weirdos from following you and steeling your things. Was it too much to ask?
"Yeah, who cares?"
"We have three fucking girls in the whole school, and you don't care if one of them could be going out with you? Besides, this one's pretty. I'd fuck her!"
You felt like you were going to puke any moment. Why on Earth did you decide to transfer to an all-boys school? It was like the whole school were a men’s room filled with stupid-ass guys, and you were locked inside, forced to listen them talk junk.
"You'd fuck a sheep, weirdo. Go get yourself a girlfriend if you can’t stop thinking with your dick.”
Laughing, the guy left, and his friend followed him, shouting something stupid while you breathed out a sigh of relief. Of course, you knew there would be some talk, but you didn’t expect it to be so... gross. Were you really gonna spend the two remaining years here?
Watching you getting frustrated, Peter gently touched you by the arm and said softly, “Don’t worry. They won’t talk rubbish about you.”
“What do you mean?” Suddenly thinking of Steve’s words, you blurted out exactly what you were thinking of the whole day, “Are you going to blackmail them with something?”
“I... what?”
