Fiege has been dimension hopping for a bit, this will be the fifth one she explores. She opens a portal and slips through before closing it up again. She turns and sees she is in a large library. How exciting and wonderful she claps and glides to one of the shelves to looks at the books. Seems this section is is about geography. Not her cup of tea but interesting enough. She continues to looks around and explore the different sections before coming to some railing. Oh... seems she is on the second floor. She floats over the railing down to the first floor. It looks like maybe she is actually in a castle of some sort. Wonder whose castle it is?

Shut up, Sun. I know what I'm doing. Unless you want to crawl inside this damn thing to uncross every single wire then you'll stay your tongue.

Angel shifts uncomfortably at his Lord's side. The portal operator has been continuously overheating for who knows how long now. It's centuries old technology that's been built upon over and over and over again. There was never a problem so why would he bother fixing it? Now with all the procrastinating, he finally has no choice. It still works but... he'd rather not risk any fires other than himself in a building full of fire hazards. Neither of them like the thought of that. So! Taking the entire thing apart and rebuilding nearly from scratch is what it's come to, especially when he's gotten a good look at the charred interior of the thing. And the Lord has only just started, his upper body reached inside to find any screws that hopefully haven't melted. He doesn't want to use magic but if he has to he will. Not until he's tried everything he can though, aside from rebuilding his arm he hasn't had anything machine-like to tinker with in a while. It's nice to work by hand sometimes. If only the damn thing would cooperate.

Angel taps along the side of the operator with a bored hum. He'd offered himself as an extra hand and was now kind of regretting it. Magic really would just make this so much easier but it's his life on the line to argue with the Lord. He startles at a flash of green and... something else. With a glance to the busy, grumbling and growling Lord, he quietly steps around the machine. Is it... someone in a dress? An automaton... His joints lock up and he freezes. An Elara variant- assuming she's the original of course, dimensions can get pretty complicated with originals and variants and... If the Lord stays busy then maybe she'll have a chance.

Ah, um, hi! Hello! S- Sorry for, ah, jerking you like that! Hah, um... That's a- a particularly cold spot of the library and- and I didn't want you to get chilly in th-that pretty dress of yours!

His hands are clasped at his chest, mostly to avoid fidgeting.

it is genuinely and truly terrifying to watch trump and his apostles create a crisis and then "resolve" the crisis.

it is terrifying to watch right-wing media first say they love the tariffs, that "america is finally first again," that we don't need to be in a global economy. but then trump changes his mind. the media, in the next day or even hour - suddenly admits that the market was crashing, that we were in serious economic danger. but no worries because trump has saved us all! he's brought us back from the brink and stocks skyrocketed, something biden never did! trump's a hero! he loves us! he saved america!

i hate that the word "fascist" doesn't even seem to alarm them anymore. i hate that they treat it as a joke. i hate that others lift their noses and say triggered, libs? while lives fall apart. this is a man who has a religion behind him. this is a god-king. this is a man who has warped the soul of america, and they treat him as if he's just a goofy genius with a heart of gold.

within one hour of the tarriffs being announced, i already saw a commenter on instagram saying this is how we know he's playing chess, not checkers. but all the libs already sold their stocks, and i'm sat here laughing. i had to close my eyes.

i've been itching to share my swap au since i thought it up, but i think i now finally have an actual baseline to introduce it with!!

the idea isn't that it's a personality swap, but a role swap, with wander and sylvia as antagonists and hater and peepers as the protags, and i have a whole lot to say about it so im gonna go ahead and infodump below the cut

so i've renamed these two, at least, since hater's story has become less about getting over himself and more about how he sees the world Now That He's Gotten Over Himself. i'm calling him The Great (and absent) Lord Lackadaisical right now, but i don't think that's what he'd like to be called, since he's an absent ruler who doesn't really care to be in a position of so much power and would rather fuck off to all the planets with really nice hot tubs. he and Sir Peepers (his loyal knight who cannot be convinced to leave his side) travel the galaxy with hater's sweet ride (i'm not too good at designing motorcycles yet. pending).

i haven't thought of new names/titles for wander and sylvia just yet (i cannot just call him Sitter Over Therer) but i do know what their deal is, and it's the main reason i made this au (i feel like if wander were a villain he would not in fact be a villain like lord hater or dominator because i think that kinda disregards wander's whole Shit, he'd be like screwball, and even then he'd have very strong convictions that he's doing the right thing): wander has a cult (a hivemind, kinda) and sylvia is his priest.

i think wander comes along this mushroom during a time in his life when everything seems to have been torn asunder, and instead of continuing his adventures and learning and growing as a person, the mushroom offers a solution that doesn't require much effort on his behalf. the mushroom links people together borg-style, makes them share a brain and a purpose. wander not only thinks it's super neat, but he's in such a poor state of mind when he finds it, he convinces himself it's the only way to make the galaxy a better place.

sylvia is the only person in his Ring of Friends who isn't hooked up to the mushroom, because she's actually wander's friend, and she's his ride or die. she does the things she does out of free will and dedication to her best friend, including preaching and fisticuffs.

^^^ here's some more of my initial concept art. originally the mushroom was gonna be a tree, but i had a vision of an upside down mushroom (or several, to take the place of watchdogs) scuttling around and by god is it easy to make that look like his hat.

the thing that really really pushes wander over the edge is the sheer boredom of it all. when he's connected to the mushroom, he's very little more than the brain they all share. he can't move around, and that KILLS him (see: the hole lotta nuthin). so when hater (name pending) comes along and refuses to join him and annoys him enough, he gets suuuuper stoked about having something to really DO for once.

anyway. this is what i've got for now. do you like it. you can be honest if you dont like it

Essentially there's two parts. The first requires you to travel through either town and collect mail, letters, offerings, anything of that sort. Sometimes you'll need to deliver it to someone else but more often than not they're directed towards me. The second is to make sure there is nothing dangerous or contraband in said mail... Get it? Got it? Good. If you have any questions ask her, I've got things to do.

The Lord doesn't spare another second, gone like that. Quite busy it seems.

a long tf sketchdump i started after watching Transformers One last year, which was great btw! (also Soundwave is one of my faves but he somehow didn't make it into this, RIP my guy 🥺 to be fair, most of these are the beginnings of ideas that don't reach conclusion so -shrug-)

also also, i watched TFA for the first time, and i CANNOT believe they really just squished my boy Blurr into a cube while still alive and left him like that 😤 i know the show got cancelled and they had plans to bring him back, but like, hotdang! SO of course i decided to slap some claustrophobia on that sucker. y'know, as a treat ✨
