We had dinner with Nene at the Nicks' house tonight. Afterward, Gus joined Caroline and Cate in finding funny Snapchat filters to put on our faces. Gus laughed so hard I thought he would pee his pants.
i do deeply enjoy having normal friends because they'll say shit like "surely nobody finds [random robot character] fuckable right" and i get to be like buddy. my mutuals are doing insane things to his digital cervix
having talented friends is so wild!!!!!! like. YOU!!!!!!!!!! YOU made THAT. YOU DID THAT?!?!?!?! YOU created!!!! THAT!!!!!!!!!!! WOAH!!!!!! praise!!!!!!!! praise for one thousand years!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
We rented a house with Nene and the Nicks for a few days so we can spend time together. Nene had suggested we go to Asheville, North Carolina, but with you and your cousins having such a vast age difference (2, 6, 12, 15), we didn't think we could create a trip that would work for everyone. Instead, we opted for a short drive and a decent community pool, which will be the great unifier of the trip. Or maybe it will be the dinner table. Either way, we're grateful to all be here together.
One of my favourite aspects in the season 2 of Heartstopper is how unapologetically intolerant everyone is towards homophobia. Like.
Harry showing up at Tara's birthday party and Charlie shutting the door in his face despite that apology.
Nick freely calling out his brother's biphobic behavior. Tori literally sinking her nails in David's arm when he was mocking Charlie and Nick and planning to out them.
It's so refreshing. There's no moment where someone asks Charlie or Nick to be the "bigger people" and forgive anyone who undermined, mocked, dismissed, and harassed them for their identity.
Because that shit shouldn't be tolerated ever and it's not acceptable. Queer people aren't here to be your redemption arc.
