Hunter and Edric met while helping rebuild the Boiling Isles!!

they slowly got to know each other and became friends. since most of Hexsquad had already befriended Ed long before, Hunter felt like it was his turn now yk?2!2?

Hexsquad + Ed and Em + occasionally some others like to have sleepovers weekly on each saturday, they happen in either the Blight Manor or Camila’s house. in these sleepovers all of em would bond, especially Hunter and Edric.

they would ramble about wild magic to each other and how interesting it is

as their friendship grew stronger and closer; one of them starts to fall for the other. it starts as harmless butterflies in their stomachs and small blushes, those developed into full fledged feelings for the other boy as a year or two passes by (making them both 17-18 if your curious).

let’s say Hunter was the one who fell for Ed: once he realized the way he felt, he would try his best to push it under the rug; denying its existence and not wanting to acknowledge it. he begged the Titan for it to be admiration instead of romance in the early stages of realizing, he didn’t want those confusing feelings to get in the way of their friendship, so he started to avoid seeing or interacting with the boy; not speaking when he was in the same room, avoiding all and any eye contact with him, leaving the room if he was alone with Ed.

his behavior became more obvious as months passed, causing Edric to worry about his friend. finally, he got enough courage to talk to Hunter about it.

they sat down on the couch at night while the others were fast asleep and discussed what happened, Hunter would try his best to work around questions about his feelings; focusing on Ed’s instead. it kept going like this until Edric said it out loud,

“ do you like me? in that way. ”

those words made the other teen silent, the silence becoming uncomfortable and almost unbearable. Hunter swallowed thickly before breaking the deafening silence,

“ i.. think so. yes, yes i do. ”

the shaky words pierced through Edric, carving holes for his thoughts about Hunter and how he saw him now. the situation made his heart jump out from his ribcage once he heard it all come out so gently. almost immediately reality sunk when he processed his answer, he bit his lip nervously. his hand trailed off to Hunter’s, locking their pinkies together.

“ i think i do too. ”

Hunter felt all his muscles relax, he felt a wave of relief wash over his whole body as he heard his words.

they sat on the couch—slightly nervous, mostly relieved. Edric’s face slowly turned to Hunter, his expression was pure bliss with slight anticipation, he brought himself in close proximity to the other boy, his head tilted to the right slightly as he inched closer and closer.

“ is this okay? ”

Hunter nodded—almost eager. his full focus was on Edric and his honey-coated voice that was speaking softly into his pointed ears: asking for confirmation to kiss him.

“ yes. ”

and with that, Edric intertwined their lips, closing the gap that was separating them. Ed’s hands grabbed onto Hunter’s shirt; tugging at its collar to pull him closer.

a few moments passed, now Hunter’s fingers were tangled in basil-colored hair as he continued to kiss the other. they both pulled away to catch a breath. both of the boys were panting, sharing a few giggles as they savoured this special moment.

I know it's been talked about many times before, but I just love the hc that Hunter started falling asleep everywhere in the human realm since he finally felt safe and comfortable enough to let his guard down for once.

Like I'm just imagining the kids a few weeks after coming to the human realm, sitting on the floor of the living room, all staring at Luz as she tries to explain the rules of uno to them (to at least try to get a sense of normalcy back into her life.) Gus is staring at her, wide-eyed, trying to soak up all possible information about this odd human game, Amity is just happy to finally see Luz smiling again, Willow is trying to collect all the green cards and Hunter is just sitting contentedly on his little pillow, Luz's voice going in one ear and out the other, though he is trying hard to memorise the rules. And with every question Gus asks, Hunters head sinks lower and lower, until his chin is resting against his chest and hes completely dozed off. The kids notice, but they don't bother him at all, even though they know his neck is gonna be killing him when he wakes up. They let him sleep, lower their voices, and try not to giggle when the uno cards slowly slip out of his grip. Flapjack is resting in his hair, and for a little while, everything seems fine. They dont need to mention that this is the longest Hunter has slept without waking up screaming from whatever monster was plaguing his dreams.

All of the kids start to notice how often Hunter would just suddenly fall asleep in the middle of doing something. He fell asleep on top of the recipe when he was trying to help Camila cook dinner once, he completely crashed in Luz's room another time when she was giving him a summary of the good witch Azura books, which Luz found odd, since he seemed genuinely interested in what she was saying. He keeps drifting off when he spends time in the garden outside with Willow, but none of the kids say anything when Willow just makes a bed of flowers for him and continues her gardening. They've all noticed how prone Hunter is to falling asleep when theyre with him, all except Amity...

When he's with her, he always stands too tall, or sits up too straight. Amity doesnt really seem to care too much, just chalks it up to their rocky relationship from the past, but she cant deny that it does bother her how rigid he always is around her compared to everyone else. She brings up her concerns to Luz, and Luz tells her that she should try talking to him, and so she does. She goes down to the basement one day to see Hunter stitching up a shirt, all alone. As soon as he notices her walk in, he sits up straighter and puffs his chest out. Even though his movements arent all that obvious or exaggerated, its uncomfortably close to how he used to hold himself as the golden guard. So Amity sighs, sits down cross-legged in front of him, and starts talking, just like her girlfriend told her to. And after a long, emotional talk about expectations and abuse, Hunters shoulders sag and his back relaxes a bit. A few days later Luz walks into the living room to find Amity reading a book, and Hunter sound asleep right next to her.

Of course 😁 here’s some headcanons for your whole relationship (your request is actually perfect, thanks for the details)! I love Boscha, she’s so much fun to write about :D

🩷You and Boscha were friends when you were younger, like 7 or 8. She wasn’t a bully back then, so even later on in highschool when she was kind of a Mean Girl, you could never hate her because you knew how kind she truly was— she only lashed out due to her insecurities.

🩷[this next part will be about the year the show takes place]

🩷At the time, you were her only friend that wasn’t part of that clique. For this reason, her parents always really liked you, and loved when you came over to hang out.

🩷Nobody at Hexside knew you two were close— everyone just assumed you drifted apart over time. Boscha hated how people liked to judge her and make assumptions about you two.

🩷She had a crush on you back then (whether or not you reciprocated yet is up to you) but she was so embarrassed about it, she just refused to talk to you about anything regarding romance or dating.

🩷Regardless, she wanted you to love her, and wanted people to know that you loved each other. She’s always been the type to flaunt what she’s proud of.

🩷She tried to invite you to her grudgby matches (so she could show off how good she was at it, of course) but the big crowd wasn’t fun for you. Instead, you came to the practices!

Headcanon that the Boiling Isles is decently hotter than the human realm. The boiling rain and boiling sea aid this. Witches and Demons have adapted to the heat and don’t get dangerously hot until the temp reaches the hundreds. However, Luz realizes that temp is usually hotter when she notices she is sweating all the time. Temp hc for places:

- Bonesborough is in the upper eighties depending on the day. At night, it goes in the low eighties.

-Latissa is in the mid nineties during the day and mid eighties at night.

-The Swamp Toes are in the low hundreds during the day and mid nineties at night.

-Palm Stings are in the mid hundreds.

-The Knee is an exception where the temperature is always very cold / freezing.
