Headcanon:

Odalia made Amity wear a concealment stone to cover her abuse scars because they represented Amity’s failures which were unbecoming of a Blight.

Belos refused to let Hunter wear a concealment stone because he wanted folks to see what would happen if you crossed him.

Both Odalia and Belos felt Amity and Hunter deserved every punishment they got. However, the evidence of those punishments that manifested physically was used psychologically against Amity and Hunter in very different ways but ultimately ensured that both remained compliant.

I have this both funny and sad HC that when he was Growing up Hunter failed Belos a lot of the time due to his bad social skills making him misunderstand his orders.

Like I said both funny and kinda sad to imagine since I HC these instances as being when Hunter got punished the most by a frustrated Belos

even tho it was just down to him never taking the time to actually make sure his nephew with zero social skills actually understood what he was saying 😿😿

Hunter sleeps holding his Sprig plushie, and he's done this since he was really little. Lilith gave it to him by putting it in the crib next to him, as a gift from one of his predecessors.

(In the Canon!Timeline, it was last seen at Gus's place. Locked in his toybox for safe keeping. Once it was found again, Hunter kept it on his bed. Occasionally bringing it with him to sleepovers.)

(I'm debating on whether it'll be too big for him to hold as a baby. But I'm imagining him as smaller than the plushie for scale. Also the eyes are soft, so it would be safe for an infant/toddler under 3.)

Hunter’s fursona would be a blond furred wolf jay hybrid with the beak, wings/forearms and tail feathers of a jay and then the rest would be a wolf

Alador’s would be an emo cat with bright neon green wolf cut hair with an invader Zim shirt and like a Minecraft creeper hat and those striped leggings

So, I'm writing something that includes all of the hexside squad and focusing on each of their trauma individually, and I want some advice when it comes to certain characters:

I'm having trouble with Amity and Gus. I would be able to ramble about these characters endlessly, I'm just not confident about writing them in the same way that I am about Luz, Willow, and Hunter.

So, what are your interpretations? Feel free to rant because I want to be able to portray them accurately.

I am open to input for the other characters too, those are just the two I have the least personal experience with

I imagine that for a while after the ending Hunter still felt the overwhelming need to please the adult figures in his life and immense feelings of failure at even mild disappointment from them ( or at least perceived disappointment )

anyway even tho obviously after being away from Belos when he was living in the human realm

he was starting to be better about this stuff I imagine that even after Belos's actual death he'd still for a while have his overwhelming need to please the adult figures in his life ( be it Darius or Camila or whoever )

and the overwhelming feelings of failure when he thinks he's disappointed them even if its over something really minor that doesn't actually matter.

anyway I just thought it was kinda morbidly humorous the idea that Hunter's go to reaction whenever he thinks he's disappointed an adult figure in his life is to dig his own grave

Eda WOULD be the type to think raine's parents fucking hate her. They could be perfectly sweet to her and always be telling Raine what a nice, funny girl they think she is and she'd still be sweating nervously and keeping her head down at every family dinner waiting for them to drop the "civil behavior act" and get to the part where they remind her that Raine is far too good for her and she's going to screw up their life

Double this when they break up but get back together like a decade later she pretends to be sick every time raine's moms invite the two of them over until she can't beg off anymore and she's *so* nervous.

Sitting at the table quietly waiting for the snide comments about her commitment issues despite the fact that it has been said multiple times how happy they are to see her again and playfully ribbing Raine about having the good sense to bring their funny girl back home with grandkids built into the deal this time

Eda has no idea how to tell passive aggressive behavior from genuine affection you'll never convince me otherwise
