The Seven + Others in The Magnus Achives (AU)
Some ideas for a TMA AU for the Seven. Some of these might be a little controversial.
Jason Grace = the Lonely
Cares deeply for people but is always distant, sometimes it's just easier to embrace the Lonely rather than fight it...
Nico di Angelo = the End
In this AU, Nico is touched by the End after the death of his sister. He seaks out a means of bringing her back. Eventually he comes to the understanding that the End comes when the End comes.
(Inspired by how Nico justifies killing Bryce because Bryce "escaped" death + how he was ready to what Octavian die without trying to stop him "some deaths should not be prevented").
Piper McLean = the Web
In canon, she uses her powers to help her friends - calming them down before a fight. And while that is useful, it also crossing a line into manipulation, especially because she doesn't actually inform them. I think she hates it though.
Percy Jackson = the Buried, specially regarding drowning
In canon Percy starts to fear drowning, obviously he's got water powers and while the Sea can definately veer towards the Vast, I think under the water is where you'll find the Buried. The crushing pressure of the deep ocean... Also, Percy lives his life trying to fight a tide that feels impossible to resist
Frank Zhang = the Desoluation
In this AU, he carries with him a Artefact which means he will die if it ever burns out. Unlike with Leo, the piece of firewood feels a lot more like the Lightless Flame.
Annabeth Chase = the Eye
Books. Architecture. The pursuit of knowledge. Enough said. Annabeth would be a modern day Smirke (but less evil).
Octavian = the Eye
While he could felt be a canditate for the Web, I think Octavian ultimately falls into the Eye. He's noted to be obsessive regarding finding the Sibylline books and his reaction towards Ella feels like ver Eye-like. While Octavian does us his knowledge to manipulate, I think that's just a by-product and he would absolutely search for knowledge for knowledge's sake.
I think Annabeth and Octavian would be rivals and be constantly trying to stop the other's plans.
Leo Valdez = The Stranger
This one is hard and I'm not sold on anything in particular. Leo's main thing is building machines - which doesn't really collect with anything.
The Desoluation (fire powers) and the Lonely (feeling like the seventh wheel) are definitely options.
But then I thought about how Leo looks exactly like his granddad, Sammy Valdez. And that's kinda spooky if you think about it... Like it could definitely give "I Do Not Know You" vibes, because while the face is the same every generation - the person is different.
Reyna Ramirez-Arellano = The Hunt
This one doesn't really fit her but I think she might join the Hunt in a similiar way she joins Artemis's Hunt in Riordanverse, like searching for a new purpose gets locked into the Hunt for "Monsters". I can see her becoming a vampire hunter...
Hazel Levesque = The Spiral
The obvious option is the End, because she was literally dead for a while... but Hazel escapes death, which is very much not an End thing. Because the End is the End.
However, this process left her with faiting spells where she re-experiences her past memories. In canon, she fears that she is in the wrong time. In the AU, this element of her character could manifest as the influence of the Spiral. Slowly being dragged into the memories of a past life that might not have really existed at all.
She wouldn't be an Avatar, since they tend to be all-or-nothing, but she would be touched by it.

I've been thinking the past few days about how, after the scene in s2 where these huge chains fall from Stiles' locker, everyone in school thinks he's either in a gang or into some very deep BSDM, and there's like this tally that goes around where people annotate things they've heard him say and debate over why it points to one or the other.
I mean, someone will hear him say human sacrifices and they'll immediately go 'alright so this guy is roleplaying some very hardcore stuff', but then someone else will hear him say something like we gotta find the bodies and then it's like... maybe not roleplaying?
Werewolf? Depending on the context, it's a code word or the name of a rival gang (his gang??), or like some weird kink no one's sure they want to know much about.
Also, Derek Hale is definitely involved somehow, but this doesn't help clarify whether Stiles is in a gang or if he and Derek are just into some very kinky shit. There's a tally on that, too.

I am a firm believer of the fact that that all the teen superheros had a crush on Nightwing at one point and he is just completely oblivious to this fact.
Dick: Hi guys, Batman let me to give you guys a training session, because Robin mentioned you all wanted to learn how to do a backflip!
All the teens staring at Dick's abs and thighs with red faces: Oh, cool..!
Tim: OH MY GOD YOU'RE ALL DISGUSTING!
Dick: Robin! Don't insult your friends, they didn't even do anything!
Kon, shuffling to the side to peer at Dick's ass: Yeah Rob, we didn't do anything.
Tim, seething: I CANNOT WITH YOU PEOPLE!

Imagine little Leo having trouble sleeping so he ends up watching tv and movies with Splinter to pass the time. Splinter often just passes out in his chair, but Leo likes the company anyway.
One day, Leo’s rifling through the movies his dad brought back for them (usually 70s and 80s stuff - Splinter has a bias) and he gasps.
Leo runs over to Splinter and holds up a copy of The Last Unicorn, begging that they watch it that night.
Splinter remembers absolutely nothing about the movie, but hey it’s got a unicorn and it’s animated so it’s gotta be fine, right? So he turns the movie on and passes out near immediately.
He’s woken up roughly an hour and a half later by Leo climbing up onto his chair and sobbing hysterically into his chest.
The movie is now one of Leo’s favorites.

I’ve talked about this before but imagine what it’s like for someone in a country/place where eliot is Top Most Wanted and then your tech guy finds a breakout star baseball player on their visual scanner that looks EXACTLY like spencer. but…there’s no way that’s him, right???
and then the next year it happens again but this time it’s some one hit wonder country singer kenneth crane that has like 78 tween-run fangirl blogs dedicated to him. you see a grainy video of him being chased by a horde of screaming teenage girls and ??? no way Eliot Last Thing You’ll Ever See Spencer is a country singer star just. signing pictures of his face right…?
a few months later your intern shows you footage of an eliot lookalike who is in san lorenzo talking about how there is dog fighting in the presidential palace and you just. sigh. because of course. a scant few days later the political geography of the country changes drastically and damien moreau is imprisoned. …interesting
and then a year of silence goes by. he still shows up as blips on the radar but he must have a good hacker working for him because his tracks on the internet are expertly erased.
every time you ask through interagency channels some random interpol guy talks in (condescending?) riddles at you and it also somehow feels like he’s threatening you
and then your friend who recently got into foreign hockey teams sends you a dropyourgloves video of someone called jacques the bear. you immediately get a headache (and watch some more videos because even you can admit this guy is a good hockey player)
and you know he’s a Bad Guy but it’s been admittedly a bit entertaining seeing what claim to fame he will come upon next. and his most recent actions over the few years make you wonder.
a few months later your phone pings because multiple heads of state evacuated from DC. the reason? eliot spencer was in town. you hear two days later a bioterrorist was taken down by… the report was redacted. your hacker tells you spencer and two teammates were behind the successful operation. which, huh.
not even a full year later it is released that spencer is dead and… you don’t know how to feel.

Mihawk and the Red Haired Pirates
-Look I don't know what to tell you, Mihawk's epithet is literally Hawkeyes meaning he is world-renowned for his eyesight meaning that he'd probably make a good sharpshooter. And maybe Yasopp decides to test this theory with a little friendly competition. And after giving Mihawk a quick intro into how guns work, maybe Yasopp had to pull out every trick there is in the book to narrowly avoid losing to said Hawkeyes, who as it turns out is indeed very good at hitting targets and who had literally just learned how to cock a gun not even 30 minutes ago. But who's to say what actually happened, the day of November 25th at 2:35pm? Certainly not Yasopp, the record clearly shows he is undefeated.
-Once a year Ben and Mihawk go on a little trip just the two of them. They act like it's just so they can shit-talk Shanks but actually, they just go fishing somewhere in the middle of the ocean and drink horribly overpriced and fancy alcohol. Look Benn loves his crew, and would die for them but also if he doesn't get at least a week to himself once every year he'd kill them all himself. He deserves nice things and a little peace and fucking quiet and not being constantly inundated with the whims of a man child and Mihawk's the closest he's ever gonna get to a friend with taste, and he travels alone with a bunch of fancy wine. Sue the man. Mihawk who would rather nap is fine to let someone else sail his overgrown raft against the annoyingly ever-changing grandline for a week or two.
-Wouldn't it be cute if Mihawk learned a lot of his fancier cooking techniques from Roux? Like he knew how to cook to survive but watching Roux is how he learned to like properly dice vegetables and that eating fish prepared the same way three times a day is not infact a life he would like to lead. This was of course less cute to Lucky Roux who in the beginning had no clue what was happening and only felt the weight of Mihawk's otherworldly stare on the back of his neck as he handled knives. (he defiantly for at least a little bit, thought Mihawk had a knife fetish. which, he's not entirely wrong)
-To Building Snake (who I just learned is the RHP's navigator) Mihawk might as well be a modern-day miracle. In his eyes, Mihawk's sailing is proof that god exists, because only divine intervention can explain how this man ever gets anywhere never mind on time or early even. Building Snake is pretty sure he owns neither a map nor a log pose and he has never actually seen the sails of Mihawk's pretend ship unfurled or in use. Actually, he has never seen Mihawk do anything but sit menacingly on the throne in the middle of the boat, which why? If you think about it for even a second longer that 2 minutes how Mihawk "sails" anywhere breaks every law of physics and somehow even the concept of geography. Building Snake would like to dissect him and study him under a microscope but knows the boss would disapprove.
