You throw the final box into the pile, wiping the sweat off your brow.
The process of moving into your new home has been a long one, but also a necessary one.
The hot sun beams down on your skin, sweat dripping from every crevice. Your muscles are weak and ache for rest. You turn around and look at your new home, a sense of pride coursing through your veins at the fact that you'd managed to complete everything on your own.
You're so deep in your feeling of accomplishment, that your hardly notice the sound of footsteps approaching you.
"Hey!" The sound of a yell catches you off guard, your shoulders jump and you turn around.
You're met with arguably the best eye-candy you've ever laid eyes on. Blonde hair and blue eyes. Perfectly framed face and a soft jaw. Kind eyes with a hint of mystery behind them, and those arms were something out of a mafia film. You wanted to take a bite out of them...
You realize your gaze had been wandering longer than society would deem friendly.
You feel your cheeks heat up and shake your head to rid of your less than neighborly thoughts.
"Hi! Sorry about that. I was really in my head I guess."
He looks at you, sheepishly smiling. "No, it was my bad, sweetheart. I didn't mean to startle you," He steps closer and offers his hand for you to shake while trying not to stare at your tits through the transparent shirt. "You must've just moved in. I live next to you. Names Leon Kennedy."
You shake his hand and tell him your name, trying to ignore the increase of your heart rate at the pet name. His smile remains through your interaction. He asks about your interests, your family, your life. And you do the same. You don't get many answers, but regardless, after a few minutes, you both feel rather close to one another.
Leon offers you dinner over at his place another day, which is an offer you can't and won't refuse.
The day finally came.
You dress in a simple sundress, bringing a bowl of cookies with you as a gift.
Leon answers the door with a bright smile, welcoming you inside of his home.
His home is hardly decorated, but somehow still feels home-y. He explains that his job causes for him to leave on constant business trips, so he never really had time to decorate.
There's a type of tension in the room. It doesn't have a name, or a describable feeling, but it makes the room feel small. Causes the both of you to feel hot. Your conversations are relaxed, but seem to have some kind of unspoken meaning behind each joke.
At one point, you needed a break from the inexplicable heat.
You ask Leon if you can get something to drink from his kitchen. He, of course, says yes and leads you there, pointing to the cabinet that holds the glass cups.
Only, when you stand on your tip-toes to grab a glass, Leon's large physique is suddenly pressed against your back.
Goosebumps rise on your skin, and a small gasp leaves your lips as his lips skim along your ear.
He has you trapped against him, his arms gripping the counter on each side of your waist. You slowly sink back down onto your heels, grabbing the counter as well for support when your legs begin to feel like jelly. "Leon... What are you doing?"
His hands move away from the counter, fingers slowly tracing from your hip to your waist, where it rests as he whispers into your ear.
"I think we can both feel this... feeling between us... So why don't we stop beating around the bush and cut to the chase, sweetheart?"
Everything seems to be a blur after that.
You only remember Leon's lips on yours, hands wandering and fondling anything he could get his hands on. He'd littered you with hickeys and bruises, slipping off your panties and throwing them off to who knows where.
And now, you lay bent over the arm of his couch, sundress shifted upward over your ass and Leon brutally pounding into you.
Your moans are muffled by the soft cushions of his couch, your hands gripping the fabric for dear life. Your legs have completely given up on you, lying limp and only moving to jerk every time Leon's hips hit yours.
Your hands grip the couch tighter and your pussy clenches around him as you whine out muffled praise.
The sound of skin slapping skin is borderline pornographic, the wet squelching sound only making the atmosphere so much hotter.
Leon grabs a fistful of your hair, yanking you up and pressing you back flush against his chest. "What was that, sweetheart? I didn't hear you.."
A loud whimper escapes your lips, your nails scratching the arm of the couch. "Said- Said it feels good! It feels so good, Leon!"
He laughs and you moan when he manages to hit somewhere deep inside of you. "Yeah? Feels really good, huh?" He growls and thrusts into you at a faster pace. You cry out, your legs going numb. And you would've fallen flat on your face if not for Leon's hands that grab your hips.
"Mhm! Yes!" Leon groans as your moans get higher and higher, your toes curling as he try's a new angle, this one causing him to hit that sweet spot that makes you go crazy.
A desperate sob mixed with a cry tears its way out of you. "Right there! Ah! Yes-!"
You writhe in his grip, your orgasm quickly approaching. He runs his hands over the sides of your body, gripping so hard you know you'll have bruises in the morning.
His thrusts get sloppy and erratic as he begins to grunt and growl in effort. "So pretty... You gonna cum baby? You gettin' close?"
He mocks you- actually mocks you. His words come out as though he's cooing at you, taunting you. Even though you feel like you should be offended by his tone, instead you feel even more aroused by it.
Your back arches and short, pitiful gasps leave you. "Fuck- Yes! 'm gonna c-cum, Leon! Gonna cum jus' for you-!"
You hardly finish the sentence before your release forces itself out of you. You cry out, electricity flashing though your veins, as your orgasm seeps all over Leon's dick. He somehow cums at the same time as you, heaving a deep and shameless moan.
The both of you take a moment coming down from the high, mouths hung agape, breathing shallow, and covered in sweat.
Leon finally pulls out of you, watching your body twitch while his seed leaks out of you. He glances at your face, seeing your blissed out expression. An amused smirk sits on his lips when you turn to look at him. You want to say something snappy, but your lungs haven't fully recovered. So, you settle for just flicking him off, muttering a small, 'fuck off'.
I think its safe to say, you would be seeing your new neighbor a lot more often... <3

"Who's that, with Lando." Charles nudged Max's arm, nodding towards the girl following a laughing Lando with a camera. "I'm not sure." There was something about you that both boys couldn't quiet put a finger on. You seemed different from the others. The way your smile was brighter than the sun itself and out did the beauty of the moon. There was something about you.
The warm Italian sun kissed your cheeks as you stood in the paddock, filming your best friend and his teammate, Oscar, getting ready for the race. Little did you know, your camera caught the attention of Charles Leclerc and Max Verstappen, who were watching you from a distance.
Hours and days went by and the two boys found themselves looking around for you, gravitated to you. "What are you doing?" Max asked first, accidentally jump scaring you. "I am so sorry. I didn't mean to scare you—" You broke out laughing face palming. "It's ok, It's ok." You assured him.
Music, all he could hear was music. Your voice, your laugh. Max thought he must've been in heaven. How could one person induce this much dopamine? "I'm Y/N." You shook his hand. Max felt his heart melt at how smooth your hand was, how delicate your skin must be against his rough ones. He was quick to pull his hand away, screen to tain your beautiful hands with his driving worn ones.
"Max." He introduced, a smile ad blush covering his cheeks.
★ ☆ ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
"I am so sorry." Charles felt like it was the end of the world. He's accidentally turned into you and spilled all of his coffee into you. You could only giggle and shake your head. "That's alright. I forgive you." Pulling out a napkin, you gently wiped the liquid dry from his shirt.
"It's almost qualifying, I understand how stressful it must feel for you as a driver." You patted his chest gently. "I can go get you another one. I know you must be busy." You are an angel. Charles felt his heart flutter and stutter with each syllable that spilled from your mouth.
"Y—you must be busy too, I can'y—" "I have some free time." You smiled, shrugging it off. "How do you take your coffee?" If you asked, charles would get on his knees and kiss every inch of your skin.
The way you smiled, the look in your eyes, the way you giggled. He was convinced you were an angel.
★ ☆ ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
"Tada!" You held up the screen to your tablet showing the two drivers who watched the way you captured the city of Monte Carlo with beauty and art. "I took the videos on Wednesday and and edited them last night."
You've quickly become best friends with Max and Charles, showing them the art that you've constructed with each trip and race. "You're very talented." Charles complimented, watching your soft eyes examine your work. "You think so?" You smiled shyly. "Think? I want to hire you." Max chuckled taking a sip of his Redbull.
"Can we share?" Charles asked, making Max shrug. "It's up to her." You looked between both boys in disbelief. "Hire? I don't know? I— I've never thought of this as a job really." You stuttered feeling yourself shrink.
"Who said anything about a job? It's art. You can just tag along with us, and continue to have fun." "Think of it asss . . . a paid internship." Max snapped his fingers at Charles nodding. "What do you say?"
★ ☆ ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
You could feel yourself laugh as both boys walked into the camera frame making weird faces. The motion sickness from the Yacht had begun to wear out as soon as you begun filming moments shared around the boat, Charles steering in the cock pit, Max dancing to the music that played, the beautiful waves and the view of the Mediterranean sea and setting sun.
As soon as the two boys heard about you wanting to film in water, they didn't hesitate getting you on Charles yacht and going sailing for a few hours.
Needless to say, you created beautiful and permeant memories, dancing with the boys and learning how to steer a million dollar vehicle. You also taught the boys how to use your camera, which endded up with them taking videos of you running and dancing around.
You could feel your heart jumping out of your chest as Charles picked you up and ran over board with you. You could only laugh as you held onto his shoulders while he treaded. Max was laughing his ass of on deck, as he watched you climb back on board, shivering like a puppy.
beautiful meamories.
★ ☆ ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
As the champagne sprayed and the celebrations ensued, you found yourself drawn to a quiet corner of the paddock, lost in your thoughts. To your surprise, Charles appeared beside you, his expression earnest.
"I can see that something's bothering you." He said gently. "And I want you to know that I'm here for you, no matter what."
You took a deep breath, the words spilling out before you could stop them. "I . . . I care about you, Charles. And Max too. I don't know what to do. And not like care care. Like . . . like love you. Both."
He didn't look surprised by your confession. Instead, he reached out and took your hand in his kissing each otf them softly. "I understand," he said softly, "But let's not rush into anything. We'll figure it out together, okay?"
And just like that, a weight lifted off your shoulders. With Charles and Max by your side, you knew that no matter what the future held, you had two extraordinary men who cared deeply for you. And as the sun set over the paddock, you allowed yourself to be present in the moment, sharing your first kiss with Charles.
★ ☆ ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
"Say cheese." Both boys looked back surprised as you snapped a photo. They raised both of their trophies happily for the second photo, bright smiles and laughs covering their faces. A memory you framed in your home.

21st April
Barcelona, Spain
"Wished I could travel around again, like when I was a kid.. haven't done that in years."
Cassandra heaved a sigh and sat back at the bench in parc de la Ciutadella. Trying her best to shield her eyes from the sun that still flared from in between the trees. Preventing her from drawing properly.
She needed that little distraction from all the medical things. It had been an intense week once again at the hospital and that was one of her favourite spots.
"Around the world like you do, you know?" Her lips pressed into a thin line as she peeked at Taehyung who was sitting beside her, sunk into his seat and legs widely spread in front of him. Untamed raven hair hanging into his eyes behind round sunglasses. "Okay, maybe not exactly like you do," she laughed under her breath, "But still, I'm quite envious of you for that."
"It's not as much fun as you imagine it though.." he chuckled while mindlessly observing a group of tourists gathering in front of the impressive fountain in the park. The song on the playlist sitting between them faded and a soft piano melody began playing instead.
"Sure, having to be on the run from interpol probably takes the fun out of it but.." She dragged a breath. "It's still better compared to being stuck at one place."
Cassandra often liked to pretend the job didn't phase her too much, especially since not even a full year had passed of her officially practicing it. She tried keeping a professional distance to the patients and even her colleagues, with the exception of Stella. Sometimes it was easier, sometimes not. She wasn't sure which path was the right approach yet. She hoped with practice there would come knowledge.
The only thing she knew was that day hadn't been one of the great ones. Not only because of the tantrum by her assistant colleague Pavlo, a big sleazy jerk who definitely wasn't made for any profession that required contact to sick humans, but even before that. That was why she was thankful for Taehyung randomly showing up that day. Waiting for her at the ER entrance as always.
She didn't say it out loud, but his random visits were always a welcoming break from the monotony of her daily life. And she appreciated them. Even if they were usually for just one day. It was the one day she looked forward to the most, despite never knowing when it'd come and if it'd ever come again. Because being friends with someone like him had the disadvantage of having little to no contact the rest of the time.
Still, even if not much, the time they got to spend together always reminded her how exciting and fun that city could be. With the right company at least. It reminded her there was a life outside of the hospital.
Taehyung looked at her, pensively. He never realised how hard her job must've been and he gave her an empathetic pout. "Stuck.. that bad, huh?"
She sucked on the little rest of her melon lollipop before throwing the plastic stick into the bin next to her. "Sometimes, yeah."
"Wanna talk about it?"
"There's not really much to talk about.. but thanks." A weak smile graced her lips, not quite reaching her eyes. Truth was she'd have liked talking about it with someone but couldn't because a) medical confidentiality and b) it was a sad story and she didn't want to dump it all onto him. They might be friends, oddly enough for some, but she didn't want to scare him off with all her emotional baggage.
Amyloidosis. Why on earth would a seven-year-old have that?
Her heart clenched just remembering it.
"Well, I know a place that might distract you at least." His cheery voice caused her to perk up with curiosity, watching him pausing the music to shove the phone into his pockets.
"Really? What place?"
He flashed her a grin filled with mischief and promise before standing up. Motioning for her to follow. "You'll see."
Whenever he'd come to Barcelona before meeting Cassandra it was mainly for a job, a layover or to lay low when interpol was on their tail. However, he'd still got around a fair amount of times and there was a small tapas bar in the basement of a narrow alley that he liked a lot. It wasn't nearby, but she looked like needing good food and a drink right now.
Intrigued, the coppery-haired girl packed her drawing utensils and swung her tote bag over her shoulder before following him out of the park to his parked car. Perhaps she shouldn't be so trusting of a thief she'd not even spent two handful of days together and yet she was. Finding herself heading west in his car when they stopped at a red light.
He let his long fingers absentmindedly drum to the soft beat playing on the radio while waiting. Humming along to it.
Cassandra got curious to where he was bringing her to and attempted to ask after all, but faltered when she watched him slid off the sunglasses. Using them to push back his hair that was unrulingly covering his vision due to a spring blow coming from the cranked down window. She took in his musing eyes and the soft edges of his features. Skin shining in a warm undertone, much warmer than hers in the city's afternoon glow.
"Traffic's unbearable," he sighed then and turned to her, catching her gaze already resting on him.
Her long eyelashes fluttered and she looked away to the lines of cars in front of them. "I-it's because of roadwork at the ring road. Everyone's detouring."
"Ah," he replied with a bashful smile. Seeing vehicles at the front moving then, much to his relief. And he prepared switching gears when an unexpected whistle made him grow stiff.
"Well, well, well.. who do we have here!"
That seething voice instantly triggered his memory and made the blood in his veins freeze. He internally cursed, glancing to his left. His eyes recognising that sleazy lopsided grin from its source. It was one of the goons he owned his wounded arm last year to.
The man, not much taller than him and surely not smarter, was leaning against a street lamp, a half-lit cigarette hanging loosely from his lips as he pushed himself off. The grin widening in a threatening mannor as he took the butt from between his teeth and tossed it to the ground, glance never leaving his.
Taehyung's jaw clenched and he faced Cassandra with concern. Meeting her already inquiring look.
"Cas, buckle up and hold tight. Okay?" He expected her to pelt him with questions but instead, she just nodded and sank lower into her seat. Gripping her seatbelt tightly.
"Hey, I think we still got to settle an outstanding score!" the guy sneered then. Preparing to make his way over to them when thankfully the cars in front of them disappeared. And he  instantly shifted gears, flooring the gas.
The thug shouted after them in anger and Taehyung knew this wasn't over. Catching a glimpse of the man in the rareview mirror, waving over another one before getting into the red car parked besides them.
"I'm sorry, Doc, I think we have to postpone it." His face turned apologetic as he navigated himself through the busy streets. "I'll stop somewhere so you can -" The sentences was left unfinished as a loud pang! echoed and next thing he noticed was the side-mirror, cracked into tiny pieces. "Fck."
Cassandra's eyes grew. Staring at him with bewildered bambi eyes. "Was that a bullet?"
"I fear so."
Quietly, she folded her lips and sunk even lower into her seat. "Damn, so that's what it's really like to hang out with you, huh cool guy?" she joked and he glanced at her, astonished.
There was mild concern on her face, paired with irritation in her eyes. But he realised they lacked fear or panic. She wasn't terrified like most people would be in that situation. It seemed nonsensical, almost comically absurd. And he chuckled under his breath.
"Sometimes, yeah. Keep your head tucked down, okay?" He shot her a smile before sliding out the gun from his waistband underneath his loose-fitted shirt and she nodded vigorously.
Cocking the magnum he glanced over his shoulder, spotting the red car nearing them fast. It was only a couple of vehicles behind them. In that moment, someone leaned out of the passenger window and Taehyung instantly sat back again. Shifting to a higher gear and taking a sharp turn into another street, earning loud honks and curses from two other drivers. With the advantage of the new angle, he fired a couple of shots himself. Each one piercing the red car's front tyres and eventually causing it to come to an abrupt halt in the middle of the street.
He drifted to the next side-street, heading for the exit to the ring rode highway in the north then. There was no time to think themselves safe, though, with the piercing sound of multiple bullets hitting his car's trunk. And he saw two motorbikes following them in the rearview mirrow.
"Would you do me a favour?"
Cassandra arched a brow at his apologetic smile. "W-what favour?"
"Hold the steering wheel for me - just for a few seconds. Can you do that?"
"W-what? Why?"
He sighed. "I might be a great marksman, but I can't shoot behind me while also driving."
"I can't drive though! I don't have a license." Taehyung stifled a laugh, finding it ironic that only now she chose to panic and that over something, in his opinion, minor.
"Just keep the car on the road for five seconds, that's all." He gave her an reassuring smile and Cassandra gulped. Eventually agreeing, not having much of a choice after all when another bullet hit their car. So she leaned over and gripped the steering wheel, holding it tightly. Thankfully not many cars were in front of them on the highway.
Five seconds. Just five seconds, she kept telling herself as Taehyung turned in his seat and with a deadly precision aimed and hit the motorbikes' tyres. The vehicles along with their passengers stumbling and collapsing to the ground. And he quickly took the steering wheel back.
"Good girl," he grinned at her proudly. Cassandra feeling her cheeks heating up at his affirmation. She peeked at him then as she straightened in her seat, "Your aim is quite impressive." He could've aimed at the passengers - it must have been easier - but he still chose to only shoot the tyres. She noticed that.
He mumbled an embarrassed 'thanks' before clearing his voice. "You know the city well, don't you?"
She nodded.
"Alright, do you know any abandoned area close by?"
Cassandra sat back, thinking hard as she chewed on her lips while trying remembering anything.
There was the forest and mountains, but they couldn't be reached well by car.
"Ah, remember I said one of the main roads is closed due to constructions? It's a big stretch of the road. That part should be pretty abandoned save for the warehouses close by."
He nodded, trusting her words. They didn't have much time to come up with an alternative now anyway as a third bike had appeared in the distance. "Lead the way."
"Take the next exit," she instructed him an they headed east. No vehicles around them as they left the main road segment. Soon encountering the roadblocks in the distance with the construction area behind it. He took a sharp turn, sliding down from the road and towards the block of grey warehouses beside it to park the car behind one.
"Go to the backseat and stay low, got it?" he instructed and before her lips could even part in protest, he had already left.
With a huff Cassandra shuffled and did as she'd been told. Unable to contain her curiosity, however, she dared to peep out a few times. Trying seeing if she could catch a glimpse of anything.
She didn't.
He had probably headed towards the construction area. Keeping the action as far away from her as possible hence why he'd hidden the car there. So she sat back down, bringing her knees to her chest, wrapping her arms around her angled legs and waited.
It felt like an eternity passed and she was unable to hear anything, assuming there was indeed no one around. And she began to feel stupid. Wonderung if he had perhaps left her there altogether. He hadn't struck her like such a person, but as she got out of the car and looked around the empty area, her heart sank in disbelief.
Had he really just left her there in the middle of nowhere? No. No way.
Puffing out her breath, she started walking out of the warehouses towards the main road. Determind to walk all the way back to the city if needed when her eyes caught a black car and a motorcircle parked at the construction area in the distance. And she abruptly paused in her tracks, quickly retreating behind the wall of a warehouse to observe.
There were several people standing around the escavated area. Shouting incoherent words to each other. Then suddenly another person appeared behind one of the construction vehicles and shot at them, hitting one of the men on both shins in the matter of a single second before disappearing again. Two others quickly ran away then to jump behind a pile of gravel next to a hole. Shooting at the vehicle now.
They stood so far away that the gunshots sounded like faint plopping noises.
The other man's head popped up again and that was when she caught a better look on him - it was Taehyung. Clearly. She should've known from his aim. He shot at a cargo net hanging from a crane, causing it to cut in an instant and the cargo dropping right next to the two men. Cracking open and heavy bags falling onto them, burying them.
Cassandra held her breath. Seeing her friend then coming out from his stash to examine his work and she decided to check the situation out herself. There was a guy with clear gunshot wounds wailing on the ground and Taehyung might've also been injured, she had to.
In the meantime, Taehyung dragged out the unconscious guys from underneath the bags. Dropping the last one's arm, he wiped over his forehead with the back of his hand. It was exhausting but he knew he couldn't leave them underneath. Surely the cops would soon be there, taking care of the rest. All that was left for him was to tie them up just in case they decided to come back to their senses earlier than he wished.
He grabbed a rope wrapped around a pipe then, beginning to tie it around their wrists and ankles when a dull noise echoed behind him and he turned around in alert.
He saw one of the men he thought were unconscious, kneeling down on the ground and holding his head, wincing. And above him stood Cassandra with a shovel, panting heavily. She caught Taehyung's surprised glare then, flashing him a grin.
"He was creeping up on you."
His lips parted, ready to scold her for leaving the stash but before he could properly react, a flashing from the direction of the cars caught his attention and he shoved her behind a stack of logs. A shot ringing through the air the second they hit the sandy ground.
Her round eyes stared at him startled as he was towering over her with a stern look. The tips of their noses a breath away from brushing against each other.
Cassandra had noticed the tiny moles on his face before. The one under his eyelashes, the one on the round tip of his nose, the one at the edge of his full lips. But it was only with the close proximity of it almost touching hers that she really saw them, taking them all in. And her breath hitched when catching his eyes skimming over her features, too.
Taehyung's chest rose and fell against hers. He swallowed, holding her gaze a second longer and almost getting completely lost in the depths of her irises' warm gradient, when another shot rang above them. And he quickly retreated and propped himself back up. The small golden pendant usually hidden underneath his shirts, slipped out and dangled in the air between them.
He grabbed his revolver from where it had fallen next to them, taking the empty capsules out and filling new bullets in before aiming the magnum at the direction of the shortly joined cars. Shooting at the backup the others must've called beforehand. He stroke the shooters with one bullet each despite the long distance, hearing a series of yelps until the last one was down.
And Cassandra silently studied him from where she was still laying on the ground. His usually gentle almond eyes, sharp and hard as they were focusing on their target. Arms flexing with every recoil.
In that moment she indeed believed he looked like the coolest guy she knew.
She didn't notice the ringing in her ears from all the firing. Only when she saw his outstretched hand towards her, she realised it had ended and she grabbed it, heaving herself up.
Brushing off the dirt from her uncovered legs, when the distinctive sound of sirens shrilled in the distance. And the two exchanged an alarmed glance. "To the car!"
They began running over the uneven construction area, the warehouses in close sight when Cassandra suddenly felt the ground beneath her feet shifting and giving in. She tripped in an unwary moment and the next thing she knew, she tumbled down an excavated hole.
"Cas!" Taehyung yelled out. Not wasting a second before skillfully sliding down himself to check on her.
She groaned in pain as her limbs had tried to absorb the shock, but she still attempted staying up from the gravel. Biting back a hiss then when a piercing ache crossed her senses, forcing her to pause. And she sank back down. The skin on her legs and hands burning.
"Your leg," Taehyung muttered then as he knelt down. Cassandra furrowed her brows, not understanding what he meant only to see her right knee being covered in blood. The graze quite big and deep, burning like hell along with all the other abrasions. And a persistent pain in her ankle.
"Is it serious? Can you move your leg?" Taehyung asked with concern in his voice.
"Sure I can I jus- ouch!"
"So that's a no. Is it broken?"
"No, I can still move it -" She winced at her anew attempt. She could move it indeed, it was just very painful. "It's most likely just sprained."
It was quite ironic. Of course the only way for her to actually get injured was by tripping and falling. Not bullets or anything. How embarrassing. She felt like an utter nuisance. All she wanted was to help and instead she was a burden.
Much to her astonishment, she watched him turn around and scrunch down in front of her then.
"Get on."
"Huh?"
"We got no time to spare, just get on," he commanded and she gulped at his serious tone, making her guilt only grow. She quickly obeyed, wrapping her arms aroung his neck and allowing him to hook his hands around her knees to lift her up.
The hole thankfully wasn't too deep, but nevertheless steep and walking it back up with another person on his back definitely wasn't an easy task. They didn't have any other option though, the sirens drew nearer. The police probably on the highway parallel to this road, soon reaching the exit and them, so they needed to hurry. And she was clearly not in the state to climb up on her own.
Cassandra was holding onto him tightly. Feeling bad for Taehyung having to carry her back to the car in a piggyback ride. Afraid she was too heavy for him despite the firm grip on her legs so she squeezed them tighter against his waist not to slip out.
Reaching the car in no time, he placed her down onto the passenger seat with a deep set crease between his brows. Rushing to the driver's side then and engaging a gear, he rushed the car out from the warehouses and onto a field road, towards the direction of a side road leading back to the highway.
"How - how bad is it?" His face was guilt-driven as he glanced at her, redirecting his focus onto the road then. "Where's the next hospital? We need to get it treated."
"No, don't worry. It's nothing serious. Just need to bandage and cool it at home." Cassandra only waved him off with a wary smile. Much to Taehyung's growing frustration. He only frowned, brows furrowing with reasonable doubts. "Home? I should bring you to a doctor!"
"I am a doctor," she pointed out, earning an eye-roll from him.
"And you can patch up yourself?"
"Uh, yeah why not?"
"Cas, I'm getting you a doctor. Another doctor."
"No, you won't," she retorted, persisting, "It's honestly nothing severe and they won't be able doing anything but bandage the wound and tell me to cool the ankle and keep it lifted, anyway. Trust me."
Dragging out a breath he gave in. Not thinking he'd be able winning any argument with her persistent stubborness and an attitude comparable to a child's 'so what?' mindset.
"How did this even happen? I just looked away for a second.." he mumbled then, more to himself than her really. He was driving at speedlimit, trying his best not to overdo it as they didn't need the police's attention right now.
Cassandra could only face him with an sheepish grin. "Well, there's a reason I became an internist and not a surgeon. I'm clumsy as hell, if you haven't noticed yet." She tried joking, hoping to lighten the mood.
At least she could laugh about it, he thought. His stern expression mitigating, breathing out a chuckle himself over her self-irony.
Now that she mentioned it, he'd indeed noticed her left-handed behavior at times. Dropping things, hitting her limbs, tripping.. There was always a random bruise adorning some place on her skin.
"Yeah, I surely wouldn't want to get operated by you," he deadpanned then making her audibly gasp before breaking into a fit of giggles. And he exhaled, shaking his head as his lips formed a crooked smile. "You're something.. you know that?"
She huffed, folding her arms. "Something good I hope."
He smirked, almost missing the right turn. "Always."
Eventually reaching her street with no patrol cars in sight, he parked a bit further away from her building just in case and helped her out of the car. Offering his hand which she gladly accepted. Watching her hobble out since she was still unable to properly bend her right foot.
"Let me help you." His voice was low, almost a whisper and he took her hand, wrapping her arm around his shoulder before hesitatingly placing his hand around her waist.
Cassandra didn't object, putting her pride aside as she undoubtedly needed a little assistance and so he led her down the sparsely illuminated narrow pavement.
It was barely past 9pm, but the sun had set already. The only other additional light being the blue flickening of tv screens coming from behind closed balcony doors.
Taehyung kept internally cursing while supporting her limping self. His grip around her waist getting firmer as his other hand squeezed her fingers which were hanging from his shoulder. "Cas, I'm sorry, I didn't mean to.. I should've paid more attention."
"Seriously, Tae, don't let it get to you," Cassandra countered with an reassuring smile, not wanting him to feel bad for her own mistake.
She had been used to things like this happening. Random cuts and bruises without exactly knowing where they came from. It was normal to her. Though, admittedly, such a large wound along with a strain was a new level she'd reached, but it was still her own doing.
Something Taehyung didn't seem to accept so easily though, as she only earned a mildly irritated huff and scowl from him.
In his opinion, she was way too laid back for someone with a large open wound on her knee, scratched and bleeding, and a strained if not broken ankle that made her unable to properly walk without flinching. He suspected her to be downplaying it and pretending not being in pain for his sake. However, it was quite evident by the way her jaw clenched and she bit down on her tightly pressed lip whenever she turned her face away, thinking he wouldn't see.
Perhaps she was also just as prideful and stubborn as he was.
He led her out of the elevator, down the hallway towards her apartment's door and after she fiddled with the keys for what felt like a minute, doing so with only one hand proving harder than she thought, she managed pushing it open and he hurried her inside and to where she pointed the bathroom was at.
Taehyung let her take a seat on the small bathtub's edge then. One foot on the blue rug while the injured leg was stretched out along the bathtub so she could inspect the wound better. Good thing that wounds and blood always fascinated her, made that workfield much easier.
The dried blood covering her shin, got cleaned first with the water jet of her shower. It was surely just a flesh wound.
However, it was still rather extensive. If she had been wearing long pants it might've been prevented, but her shorts hadn't provided any kind of cover when she'd stumbled down the gravel and asphalt.
"My emergency kit is under the sink, could you fetch it for me?" she asked, eyes too focused on inspecting the wound to look at him.
He quickly obeyed, handing her over the blue box and watched her opening it like a mechanic would open their toolbox. All kinds of supplies inside. Gauze, rash creams, small brown bottles of oitments and bigger, clear bottles he couldn't really identify.
"Pledget," she suddenly ordered, stretching her hand and Taehyung only eyed her with an amused smile over her unusual bossy tone.
Confused about the lack of acknowledgment, she glanced at him before her eyes widened. Giggling embarrassed at herself when rememering she wasn't in the hospital but her own bathroom. "Sorry, force of habit. Behind the mirror I store pledgets. And in the bottom drawer I have a small wash cloth. Please wet it and give them to me."
He smirked before he picked everything in her list. "Anything else I can assist you with, Doc?"
"No, that's all for now, nurse," she smirked back as she accepted the pledgets and the cloth from him. Beginning cleaning the wound from the dirt and tiny particles and trying her best not to wince with every touch of the wet fabric on her open skin. And Taehyung pitied her. Still feeling like all this was in some way his fault, no matter how much she denied it.
He grabbed the cloth from her then and Cassandra was about to object when she watched him kneel down in front of her. Silently taking over in cleaning the wound. Flustered, her breath halted for a moment when his fingers gently prushed over her shin to keep her leg steady.
"Y-you don't have to."
"I know."
And she folded her lips, leaving him work in silence. When he deamed the wound to be free from any foreign material, he put the cloth away and glanced up at her in anticipation. "What now?"
She swallowed before offering him a smile. Motioning with her chin to the blue box. "There's a disinfectant spray. Spray some on a pledget to disinfect it."
He hummed with a nod and she observed him follow her instructions. Both growing quiet again until she flinched at the disinfectant's cold burning. His hand gently pressed her leg back down, holding it in position. "Almost done," his voice soothed her, quietly demanding for her not to move. And Cassandra bit the inside of her lips, nodding. Not only her wound tingling, but every fibre of skin covering her body was. Like fizzy powder being sprinkled all over it.
"N-next use the cream saying 'dexpanthenol'."
His concentrating brows furrowed while he spread the cream. And Cassandra had to look away.
Dammit, she thought and closed her eyes. Why was it suddenly so warm in there?
She felt like melting into a puddle right into the tub.
Before she even realised, he had began to wrap gauze around her knee. "Tell me if it's too tight." His usually chesty voice hollow now, his mind preocuppied with racing thoughts. Almost missing her cough out a hum as she was still unable to form coherent sentences.
Cassandra had been so used to be the one taking care of others, especially physically, that having someone who wasn't her parents or grandparents, taking care of her felt not only strange and unusual, but also oddly pleasant. And she smiled gently.
"Thank you." Now she just needed to rest and cool the ankle.
Taehyung nodded only, packing everything he had used back into the blue box.
"Least I could do, really," he sighed then, a rueful smile tucked on the corner of his lips, "I'm sorry, Cassandra, I -" He looked down to the blue rug he was sitting on. "I guess it was foolish to make you hang out with someone like me. Should've known it was a bad idea."
A frown nestled onto her features hearing his words and she slid her leg down from the bathtub, sitting properly now. "You didn't 'make' me, Taehyung. I hang out with you because I want to. Because I like hanging out with you."
Glancing up at her briefly with a raised brow, he quickly shook his head. She said it so matter-of-factly, but it felt undeserved.
"Even after today?"
"Especially after today. And besides, you told me to stay in the car and I didn't listen.." She sighed, averting her irises in shame. "So I'm the sorry one."
"Right, but I should've known you wouldn't listen," he shrugged nonchalantly, "It was to be expected really."
She huffed out a puzzled laugh. "Hey, what's that supposed to mean?"
Taehyung grinned, flickering a finger on her forehead with a chuckle. Cassandra flinched at the unexpected gesture, rubbing the spot with a whine.
"It means that you, Cassandra, are curious, impatient and defiant like a child. So of course you wouldn't listen."
His words had the potential to offend or hurt someone, but the tender expression on his features let her know of their affectionate nature. They weren't meant anything but teasingly, he wasn't actually scolding her. Yet, she couldn't help but pout.
"Besides," he said then and lifted himself, standing in front of her now, "If you hadn't knocked off that guy with the shovel, you might've been the one treating me again instead. So if anything, I owe you."
Frankly, it didn't make sense to Taehyung that she was apologising when she'd have had all the right to yell and cuss at him for endangering her.
Why wouldn't she throw him out of her flat already? Why wasn't she terrified or scared?
Now that he thought about it, she hadn't been before either.
When the shooting began, a little, but after that? She had been rather composed. More than most civilians would've been in her position. And it confused him even more, but it also impressed him.
"Weren't you scared at all?" he wondered then, eyes dropping with a pensive look, "You could've been injured more severely than this."
Cassandra was buffled for a moment but seemed to understand what he was hinting at and her doe eyes became even rounder, contemplating his words.
Yeah, she should've been terrified. But she wasn't. And hadn't been. Why?
He watched her pushing herself off the tub, attempting to stay up. Carefully, she eventually managed standing on one foot while the injured one lightly touched the ground for balance. Her brown eyes radiating warmth at her following words.
"I wasn't, no. You were there after all, so I didn't have a reason to. I knew you'd protect me. And you did."
His lips parted, startled. "I, I see.." He coughed in an attempt to mask his flushed smile. He hadn't expected that.
She trusted him. She trusted him enough not to be scared. The thought made him irrationally proud.
"I mean," she chuckled then, trying being casual about it, "You didn't lie, your shooting skills are pretty mad. I'm impressed."
He huffed, scratching the back of his neck as his other hand automatically went to the gun in the back of his waistband. "Ah yeah?" he smirked for a brief moment before his lips pressed into a thin line again. "Cas, seriously now though. Why aren't you mad at me? Why would you.. still want to spend time with me?"
"Told you already."
He sighed in frustration, unsure if she simply didn't get it or pretended not to. "You know what I mean. You're a doctor, a good person. You help others. You literally save lives, while I.. I don't do any of that. I'm a literal criminal. Sure, not as ruthless or devious as most.. but still a criminal. A bad guy."
His bubble, it was bursting. He could feel it. The bubble he kept escaping to that past half a year. The little delusion of feeling normal he had clinged to.
Cassandra remained silent, her stern gaze staying on Taehyung's despite him looking away. Blame written all over his gentle features and in a way, the way he perceived himself ached her more than the strain. Especially since she knew him and his friends weren't ordinary criminals.
And it also upset her, the way he portrait her. Placing her on a pedestral. As if she was a perfect being who couldn't do any wrong.
"Just because I'm a doctor I'm not a saint, and you ain't a demon for being a thief."
The firmness in her voice made him perk up, eyes keen to prove him wrong.
"Come, I need to show you something," she said then and gently tugged him by the wrist.
Wordlessly, he let her hold onto his forearm as she led him with small steps across the hallway into what turned out to be the living room.
She turned on a lamp in the far corner, illuminating the space.
The room was as organised as Cassandra's thoughts, every piece of furniture and decor at its place neatly. A flat-screen on the wall and in front of it a broad sofa stuffed with soft pillows and colourful plushies, and underneath the dark coffee table, a carpet of bright but soothing colours. The window big beside it, with several smaller to medium-sized plants lining up on the windowsill.
She came to a halt, positioning them both in front of the wall opposite to the window then.
There was a corckboard with all kinds of tickets, photos and postcards from around the world pinned onto it, gracing a small part of the wall, while the majority was occupied with posters. Film posters, to be precise.
"Some of my favourite films," she plainly stated, peeking at him expectantly. And Taehyung breathed out, allowing his gaze to wander over each one of the posters decorating the space. Then going to the tall shelves in the corner with numerous old dvds. His lips falling slightly agape when taking everything in. "You.."
"Yup."
Crime films, heist films, neo-noir, gangster-comedies.
That explained some things.
After what felt like minutes of silence, he eventually spoke up again.
"Great films."
"Yeah?" she asked, beaming when seeing him nod in approval.
"Of course." He faced her then with knitted brows. "You know films aren't very realistic though."
At this she only scoffed when seeing an shit-eating grin spreading on his lips. And she nudged his side. "Oh, I know. But some are based on real stories, so close enough I'd say."
They shared another glance before Taehyung eventually broke into a fit of laughter. With her promptly joining him, recognising the absurdity of it all. Both laughing over what felt like their own little inside-joke.
"You really are something, Cas.."

23rd April
Interpol branch office
Seoul, South Korea
"Agent Kim? I forwarded you the video the colleagues from Spain sent over," Jungkook, the newest and youngest addition to the robbery department explained with an eager tone. Making Seokjin perk up and avert his eyes from the file case on the computer screen. "They said it might be of interest for us."
He hummed, waving Namjoon over who had been walking down the corridor with a cup of freshly brewed coffee. Moving the curser to Jungkook's message then. Sensing the younger agent hovering expectedly over him when Namjoon finally joined them and he opened the file. All threee watching the video intently, processing the scene.
"I'd recognise this gun work anywhere, that's Kim Taehyung," Namjoon stated, excitement evident in his voice. Seokjin agreed with a grin. "Not bad, how many goons were there? Nine?"
"I count eight, but still."
His superiors' steadfast statements astonished Jungkook. After all the video quality of the security camera from the construction area in East Barcelona was quite low and grainy, partially due to the lack of light. It was mainly shapes visible. No details.
"You mean one of Park Jimin's accomplices? Are you sure?"
Seokjin wanted to almost scoff at the doubtful tone in the young agent's voice but remembered he had only arrived there from the academy two months prior, after Hoseok had transferred to organised crime to become the department head there. So of course Jungkook couldn't know everything yet.
"Pretty sure," Namjoon flashed him a dimpled grin then, patting Jungkook's shoulder.
"I know these guys in and out," Seokjin exhaled dramatically then, "Jimin, Taehyung and Yoongi, who joined them five years ago." His brown eyes wandered to the whiteboard across the room where their photographs along with important details greeted him every morning when entering the office. "The only one I don't recognise is this girl."
"She might be connected to Jimin, too, since Taehyung was there," the younger agent suggested.
"Possible," Namjoon stirred his coffee and took a sip, "But the only other woman we know in Park's life is Arabella Valentine and it's surely not her."
Jungkook's brows furrowed in astonishment. "And you're so sure because.."
At this Seokjin laughed out, quite entertained by the youngster's naivity. "Because Jimin's the only one whipped for her, contrary to his partners who'd never trust her. And I can't judge them for that, I wouldn't either," he added, closing the file he faced his younger colleague then. "So I doubt Taehyung would join hands with her if Jimin didn't force him to. But I neither see him nor Yoongi around, so Kim was probably on his own."
Jungkook nodded with a contemplating expression, deep in thoughts. "Maybe she was just a bystander who happened to get involved then?"
Seokjin hummed at Jungkook's reasoning, musing over it for a moment. "Possible. Wouldn't be the first time. Keep an eye on that in the future, though. In case we see her around again."
"Of course," he nodded with a serious tone, about to return to his desk when Seokjin called out for him again.
"Who were those other guys by the way?"
"Oh, according to the case file a gang called Ojitos."
"I see, thanks."
As far as he remembered those were the same guys the three fellas had got into a fight with last summer. So he concluded they'd recognised Taehyung and therefore gone after him.
That girl, however.. whoever she was, it remained a mystery for now.

25th June
Barcelona, Spain
The day seemed never-ending and Cassandra almost tossed her stethoscope to the ground, slamming her locker close. It was one of those days where pretending not caring didn't work and everything was a bit too overwhelming. Sucking in a breath, she changed into her normal clothes and left the hospital as quickly as possible. Fearing if she looked back, it might just swallow her alive.
It was days like this that made her doubt her choices.
The only thing she looked forward to on the whole way home was food and the ice cream she had stored in the freezer. Hence why she almost forgot to check her mailbox, hurriedly grabbing the few envelopes from it and skimming over them when a postcard that peaked out from among the letters, caught her attention. And she paused.
Eagerly, she tucked it out. Seeing the famous white opera of Sydney surrounded by the sea on its front.
Her brows furrowed. Not recalling knowing anyone who visited or lived there so she flipped it to read the text on the backside for any clues.
"some films shot here:
matrix 1-3, mission impossible 2, two hands, the hard word
thought this might make up for your lack of travel :)
-T"
Her face lit up, instantly recognising the sender. Taehyung.
She hadn't seen him in awhile, the last time he happened to pass by Barcelona being some months ago. And she wondered if that meant he was thinking of her during the months apart, just like she was thinking of him. Always wondering where in the world he had been.
Now she had her answer. Along with two new films for her watchlist.
And she smiled.

Animage May 2024 Issue ft. Sakai Taisei x Higuchi Kouhei Interview (translation below)
Publication: April 10, 2024
A battle between the Kings and Dons?!
Everyone in King-Ohger and Donbrothers have died?! The series two most unique Super Sentai perform together in a dream collaboration! Both Reds talk about the unexpected turn of events that await in the V-Cinext!
Standing up to the danger that threatens Chikyu is Ohsama Sentai King-Ohger. Exterminating monsters born from human desires is Avataro Sentai Donbrothers. The members of these two Sentai, for one reason or another, have lost their lives, and have gathered in the Land of Death, Hakabaka!
King-Ohger VS Donbrothers, which is a crossover between "Ohsama Sentai King-Ohger" and "Avataro Sentai Donbrothers," will appear on screen as a double feature with King-Ohger VS Kyoryuger.
King-Ohger is characterized by its fantastic worldview set in six kingdoms, while Donbrothers focused not only on the heroes battles, but also on everyday drama. The one thing in common with both shows, which are completely different in style, is that all of the Sentai members have really strong personalities. Even though the members clash with each other, there's no way they could get away with it if it were any other Super Sentai…
It begins with a life or death struggle set in Hakabaka! From there, what unexpected things will happen to them? We hope you'll come to the theater to see the story unfold between the Kings and Avataros, who are guided by a strange fate.
We're the "only ones" at full power!!
-The chance encounter between two major Super Sentai that "wouldn't be interesting even if you imagined it"-
"When you heard about the details of this film, what kind of story did you expect it to be?"
Sakai: I honestly had no idea what would happen if "Ohsama Sentai King-Ohger" and the unique "Avataro Sentai Donbrothers" were to get involved with each other. I was looking forward to seeing how the script would turn out, and after seeing that, among other things, everyone dies, I thought it was quite an interesting story (laughs). While the setting of the story takes place on the King-Ohgers side, it was more like we had entered the world of Donbrothers, so it was exciting to film.
Higuchi: I couldn't imagine what would happen either, and thought it wouldn't be interesting even if I did try to imagine it. It's the same case with the current "Bakuage Sentai Boonboomger," but I thought that because the staff are thinking about various things and taking on new challenges, they'd produce a work that our minds couldn't imagine. When I actually read the script, it turned out to be as troublesome as ever (laughs). I once again felt that this was the quality of Donbrothers, and there were alot of lines that made me feel, "This is how I felt back then." It was both fun and nostalgic, and made me look forward to filming.
"What were your impressions of each other's team after working together this time? In particular, Gira and Tarou had alot of scenes together."
Sakai: I felt that there were quite a few similarities between them and the King-Ohger team. Kouhei told me that the Donbrothers team had gotten along well for a whole year without any major problems, and just like us, they're very close. I thought that Kouhei must've been a wonderful leader for Donbrothers. Kouhei usually has a playful image, but he's very stoic in his performance. In the scenes where we interact with each other, we were trying to match the emotion the other was feeling, so it was really fun to play.
Higuchi: Since everyone in the King-Ohger cast is alittle older than the Donbrothers cast, I felt that they gave off an extremely relaxed vibe. I got the impression that they fit the colors of King-Ohger, and that there was alot of enthusiasm among them. Also, there was a feeling of "moving forward together," and I felt that it must've been Taisei, who served as leader for a year, who created that atmosphere. Taisei's a cheerful person who's straightforward in his acting, so I think all the cast members in King-Ohger also found him very easy to work with. In the scenes where we performed together, I could feel that Taisei had been thinking alot about Gira over the past year and what he's been fighting for, and that he enjoyed playing him.
"You seemed to also enjoy talking during the photo shoot, but was there anything that brought you closer together?"
Sakai: Kouhei approached me, which was helpful since I'm not really that talkative, and thanks to him, I feel like it made things much easier.
Higuchi: But, that was because I liked Taisei's humanity and wanted to get along with him. As I started talking to him, we became as we are now.
"So you naturally hit it off."
Sakai & Higuchi: That's right.
-Looking at the dialogue and battles of our overpowered heroes-
"Higuchi-san, which character from King-Ohger interested you, and Sakai-san, which character from Donbrothers interested you?"
Higuchi: I thought all six of them were pretty cool, but…..it's still Gira. We're both Red, and I was impressed by the strong appeal of his eyes. I think there are many scenes that were captured well thanks to Gira's eyes.
Sakai: It's Don Momotaro. We're both fellow Reds, and just as I was able to do my best with the support of the people who've been with me for the past year, I feel that Kouhei experienced the same thing as he passed the baton to me, so I respect him for it. Also, Don Momotaro is simply the coolest.
Higuchi: He's cool, huh!
"Please tell us about some of the most memorable moments from filming."
Higuchi: The difference in vibe of the costumes that I felt in the scenes where we performed together was striking. The costumes in Donbrothers have a sense of realism, so when someone like Saruhara Shinichi enters the world of King-Ohger, he really looks out of place (laughs). It was interesting to feel things like the difference in flavor these two productions have.
Sakai: The scene where the King-Ohgers and Donbrothers confront each other was memorable, because while this was our first time meeting them, I felt like we were united. Also, I enjoyed the fact that Gira was able to get into situations that were very Donbrothers like.
"Sakai-san, is there anything you'd like to ask Higuchi-san, your Super Sentai senior?"
Sakai: What would it be……in our case, Kaku So-san is a very caring person who became the center of the six of us and connected us all together. I'm alittle curious on how the members of Donbrothers, who are very close, came to have the relationship they have now.
Higuchi: It probably wasn't just any guy, but everyone in Donbrothers. Everyone had a strong desire to get along with each other, and since no one was putting up any barriers, I felt like we were able to close the distance pretty quickly.
"Conversely, is there anything Higuchi-san would like to tell Sakai-san?"
Higuchi: This is speaking from personal experience, but from now on, when you go to other sets, I think you'll experience not being able to remove yourself from the role.
Sakai: Yeah, you told me about that.
Higuchi: This phenomenon happens only because you've been seriously and straightforwardly tackling the role for more than a year. Taisei, I hope that you'll move on when playing a new role, and to be conscious of, "Is this too similar to Gira?"
"Once again, please tell us some highlights of the film."
Higuchi: Transformation scenes are the real thrill of tokusatsu productions, and I personally look forward to watching their transformations after such a long time. In 10 or 20 years, we might return, but for now, this'll be the last time you'll see the Donbrothers transformation scene. I definitely want you to watch our transformation.
Sakai: As Kouhei said, I want the transformation scene to be burned into your eyes, and I hope you'll pay attention to the dialogue and struggles between our strong characters. Both King-Ohger and Donbrothers are full of characters with strong personalities. I'm also looking forward to seeing the completed footage to see what the two Super Sentai will look like when they unite.
"Finally, a message to the fans who have supported Momoi Tarou and Gira Husty."
Higuchi: I was saved by the line, "We've formed a bond," and experienced a year that made me feel the importance of bonds. The words, "We've formed a bond" also appear in this film, so please come to the movie theater to search for that "bond".
Sakai: I personally think that the character of Gira was created by Scriptwriter Takamina-san taking into account both my own personality and the opinions of the fans. In other words, I feel that this is a character and production that we've created together with everyone, and for that, I'm very grateful. Thank you for your support over the past year!! _
Q: What other heroes would you want to do a VS with?
It'd be ShinkenRed and GokaiRed. Tarou has an arrogant personality, so it'd be better for him to clash with the types of Reds who bring everyone together, as I feel like it'd create some fresh drama and make things more interesting. (-Higuchi)
It's not Sentai, but I loved "Kamen Rider Kuuga" when I was a kid, so I'd love to work together with Kuuga. He's also a stag beetle hero like Gira (laughs). (-Sakai) _
(page 116, bottom first) Encountering Warriors A highlight is the joint performances of the two major Sentai members! Pay attention to the combination of those appearing together, such as Gira and Tarou, whose common point is royalty, and Kijino, who faces off against Suzume and the lovey dovey Racules.
(bottom second) Why?! Face to Face Confrontation! Why are the King-Ohgers and Donbrothers even fighting? The differences in the members personalities are also evident in the way they fight. Don't miss a single moment of this unbelievable super battle!
(page 117, top right) Great Gathering! The Invincible Super Stars In "King-Ohger VS Kyoryuger," which will be screened at the same time, Ohsama Sentai King-Ohger will reunite with Zyuden Sentai Kyoryuger, who they fought together with in episodes 32 and 33. This time, all members, including Kiriyu Daigo/KyoryuRed, played by Ryusei Ryo-san, miraculously come together. What will happen to Daigo and the others who set off in pursuit of the Uchu King Dagded? Can they restore the history of the Royal Sentai that's been changed? Don't miss the fierce battle for the fate of Chikyu and Earth!
(middle left) Golden x Golden = The Strongest! During battle, they acquire new forms, with KuwagataOhger becoming GolDon KuwagataOhger, and Don Momotaro becoming GolDon MomotaroOhger. What will their abilities be?

Sanders Sides predictions!! (On my burner account just in case anyone takes this too seriously) this is just for fun, don't sue me. (Includes all characters... Uhh in some form, there is no violence except threatened and I do realize at least some of it could never happen due to being too complicated to film in an apartment.) It starts very vague and then gets to dialogue for the really good part. DLDR
The video starts with Thomas. He's really struggling to put together a video. Logan immediately jumps to the opportunity to talk about the healthy schedule he proposed. Patton is summoned pretty early (pops up for a pun) but after he stays uncharacteristically quiet. When he's pushed, he admits he'd rather be quiet than wrong.
Logan assumes it's an anxiety problem then and summons Virgil. Who, for some reason, is avoiding Thomas like the plague. He tells them he has nothing to do with it, which immediately calls up Janus. Virgil leaves asap. Janus explains that, actually, he's not here because of Virgil, he's here to watch what Remus is about to do. Turns out Remus has been walking around all excited about this new change in process that's supposed to happen today and since he wasn't in his room, Janus figured he would find him up here. But there's no Remus.
Janus also looks confused as to why nobody went to get Roman. Logan admits he still doesn't like him very much and would have preferred if he stayed out of the picture for what is clearly a Patton related problem, because Patton is very soft spoken right now and Roman would just talk over him like he always does (and he had plenty screentime in the last video anyway). Both Thomas and Patton feel too bad about last time to talk to him first. But alright, if it will help the case, we'll summon him... Exept he doesn't show up. Thomas isn't scared, he's got complete creative block.
Roman must've ducked out.
They decide pretty quickly that they should go to his room (at least once Janus reminds everyone that they don't know where Remus is and what he could do if he's alone with Roman)
So they get into his room.. but it's dark. There are torches on the walls, beautiful paintings of Prince Roman, slaying the Dragon Witch, slaying on the stage, royal portraits of him and Mrs Snuffles. A single painting of two young boys, playing together in the garden, one dressed in black and one dressed in white.. And there's a throne.
"Well well, look who decided to finally show up." A man gets up from the throne. His voice sounds ice cold. And as he steps down into the light of the torches, they turn green. And they see a man with a big crown, worthy of a king, with a white streak in his hair and a sword by his side.
Janus looks like he'd just seen a ghost. "We have to leave. Right now. This isn't safe for any of us"
"Awwwh, Janus," the man before them slips into a Remus-like voice, walking closer and closer"don't spoil the fun." His voice turns cold once again. "You know.. I've been thinking about what you said to me last time we met. That I'm just the same as my brother. That we're both evil and cruel.. and it hurt me. It hurt me very very deeply," he grabs Janus by the cape. Others try to help him but he dismisses them. "I never wanted to leave my room again, how much it hurt. I couldn't believe you would say something like that... Something so.. true. I was too blind to see it before, but you were right. I am just as bad, as my brother is. And if I'm just as bad.. there's no reason to stay split apart."
Logan finally gets between him and Janus. He lets him go willingly. "Falsehood. You all have your own specific purposes in this system. So please, Roman-" a deep chuckle interrupts him
"Roman? Oh, haha, no. Roman's dead now. Me and my brother are one once again, no prince, no duke, but King. No Roman. No Remus. I am King Romulus, and you will address me as such. Now, get out of my room. Before I feed you to Mrs. Sniffles."
Behind the throne, a large plume of smoke emerges.
"Well, that ain't a cat" Patton is still quiet, staring down a giant silhouette of a dragon witch rising up.

I'm awaiting your wrath
oh Somna you sneaky little gremlin you! absolutely anything for you
your People are nightmare!Steve and gargoyle!Eddie
your Place is Dealer's Choice, so I'm giving you Thrift Store
your Things are a Photograph and a Mixtape
word count: 800
18+ONLY, no major warnings just nightmares, Steddie-ish, mention of migraines, monsters, taxidermy. I write these fast and post them without much fuss in an effort to not get too precious about things and just have fun, I love you for reading. Also, I have at least 30 of these asks sitting in my drafts, but this might be my last one for a while.
pick your poison
You'd walked down that same street a million times when the glass storefront with the sign Lost & Found on the door appeared out of nowhere one day. You were certain there'd been nothing but an alleyway in that space the day before.
A bell above the door dinged when you went in, heralding your arrival with an exceptionally shrill clanging that reverberated off your skull. For a second you feared it might trigger another migraine.
"Can I help you find anything?" Steve said from behind the desk, peeking around a tall stack of books, adjusting his thick, tortoiseshell glasses. Behind him was an old Zenith box television showcasing nothing but static.
"Um," you felt suddenly overwhelmed by the shelves of oddities stuffed into the small space, not sure where to look when your eyes landed on what appeared to be a taxidermied squirrel with tiny fangs.
"No, I think I'll just look around if that's alright," you pivoted to avoid a mound of used shoes that were piled up to your hip. At a glance, none of them came in pairs.
"I moved the mixtapes over by the radios," he shuffled around to come out from behind the desk, a familiar glint in his eye. "Found a few new ones since last time."
You assumed maybe he thought you were someone else, so you didn't try to correct him. Must've been a coincidence that he knew about your affection for music relics from another age.
"Where did you find all these?" You asked a few minutes later, pawing through the bins of personalized tapes in in awe. There were handwritten lists of songs and notes inside the hard plastic covers, along with drawings and names on the spines. "For Terry, Love Emily" and "Favorite Metal Mix" along with different bands and titles to the collections.
You picked up a bright neon Memorex tape to inspect the songs on it penned in blue ink with a curious smile on your face. Steve came up behind you and stood with his hands in his pockets. He smelled good, like honeysuckle, sawdust, and freshly mowed grass.
"People lose things and I find them," he said with a shrug. "Have you lost anything? I might have it."
You turned to him then, and really took the time to appreciate the details of his face. The square of his jaw, the curve of his mouth, and the moles dotting down his flesh.
"We've met before, haven't we?"
He shifted his weight forward, leaning into your personal space with the ease of someone who had been there many times before.
"Are you lost? Do you need to be found?"
Something flashed in his eyes, something dark. Sinister, even. But it didn't make you afraid, it gave you comfort, like the thrill of entering a haunted house when you've paid to be scared.
You went back to rifling through the tapes before moving on to turn the knobs on the radios, and then check out the cameras. Some still had film in then, some were broken, and one was a folding Polaroid Land Camera with a processed photo next to it.
The image edged in white was of a magnificent gargoyle in a red rose garden with its head down and wings pinned to its sides. Chiseled muscles and clawed hands. The statue had long dark hair and wore what looked like a guitar pick on a chain around its neck.
"He's beautiful," you whispered, turning the photo over to see if there was any description on the back.
"He's a pain in my ass," Steve mumbled, slamming a few books into their respective slots on the nearby bookshelf.
"Why is that?" His annoyed tone made you chuckle, craning your neck to see where he went.
"Look at the photo again," he said with his back to you.
You did as you were told, struck with confusion to find that there was no longer a statue in the garden. You blinked a few times, thinking it might've been a trick of the light.
"Well, that doesn't make any sense. Where did it---"
"Now look behind you," Steve crossed his arms to lean against the bookshelf, waiting.
You turned, expecting to find another photo or something else besides...
Your blood ran cold at the gargoyle man standing an arm's length away.
He was naked, with lips the same slate gray as his skin, and his black eyes sought yours for reassurance.
"Eddie will you please cut it out?" Steve put his hands on his hips. "You're going to scare all of my customers away."
"Eddie," you cocked your head. "Is that your name?"
He offered one long nod, bowing his head to you, wings twitching.
"He won't hurt you," Steve assured softly. "He loves you as much as I do.

While I do enjoy the theory/headcanon of Crowley not eating because he was cursed for his food to turn to dust/taste like dust (that's a theory people have right- I'm not imagining it?) I feel like it's a bit simpler.
I feel like for Crowley it's just too much of a hassle really. Like he doesn't hate it and he'll try food if it looks interesting. But I feel like for him it's as interesting or satisfying as waiting for your dentist with that thingy holding your mouth open. It just isn't all that fun for him. For various reasons.
(Aka: My Headcanon as to why Crowley doesn't like food + foods I feel like he enioys)
1. Tongues and Teeth
- I feel like Crowley probably ended up constantly biting his tongue whenever he did eat. Not even little bites either. Those deep bites you can feel in your ear.
- I also think he must've been annoyed with food stuck in his teeth
- I feel as though he also just doesn't like the way certain foods leave a film over your tongue and/or teeth
2. Temperatures and Food Safety
- Many foods that are only safe to eat hot, Crowley like best cold or/raw
- Many foods that would be ruined if heated up, he likes them best hot
- And I'm sure there's at least two inedible (to humans) things that he'd love to have cooked in with an edible good item
- None of these things would kill Crowley. But Crowley doesn't cook. And there are very few chefs in the world who'll make you "Boiled ice cream" or "Egg yolk cereal" or "Lomein Noodles with General Tso Erasers"
3. Textures
- Textures are too unexpected for him cause he has a hard time guessing what they could be just by looking at them
- He doesn't like one texture randomly interrupting the one he's already gotten used to- especially when it's not meant to be there. So say he's eating chicken and there's suddenly a crunch
4. Chewing
- He finds chewing boring
- He feels like it makes eating a task
- I feel like once he decided to just swallow foods instead of chewing them. And food certain things it worked
- He would take the food, let it rest on his tongue. Maybe swish it around his mouth, and then swallow
- But I feel like he did in fact choke and it was the most embarrassing discorporation hell had seen for YEARS
- "What's the point of the stupid digestive system if you've gotta chew whatever goes through it first?!" He had grumbled "The esoph..sofo...sif...FOOD TUBE THING shouldn't be subjected to the sloppy seconds of bloody mouth bones!"
For foods Crowley likes, I believe they've got to be prepared by the same chef the exact same way it was when he first had it and he always uses minor miracles to ensure it happens. It was always a shame when a good chef passed away. And if that chefs family ended up inheriting a large sum of money from a mysterious person with red hair and dark glasses at the funeral- don't look at Crowley. Why would he know anything about that.
Foods I think Crowley might enjoy:
- Smoothies! I feel he had a smoothie phase at one point
- Cut up fruits
- Soups
- Deboned Raw Fish
- Spicy Noodles
- Rice
- Boiled Ice Cream
- Seaweed
- Whatever foods Aziraphale cooks (whenever Aziraphale remembers he can cook that is). He often wonders if Aziraphale puts miracles on his food or if the angel is really just that good at knowing what Crowley might like.
On the topic of Aziraphale: He LOVES watching Aziraphale eat. Well not LOVES...more like...it fascinates him. For three reasons
1) Eating is one of the few times Aziraphale is properly at ease and allows himself to selfishly enjoy something without worrying about what heaven might say. Seeing the Angel indulge (so much so that he makes sounds and does little wiggles) puts Crowley at ease. Knowing it was him that introduced him to it makes his heart swell.
2) He's a little self conscious as to how he's so particular about foods (there's no need to be Crowley! You're not alone). So he kind of watches and waits to see if there's anything special Aziraphale is doing that makes him enjoy food so much. Or maybe there's at least one food out there the Angel doesn't like
3) Wouldn't you like to know? (Iykyk)
I didn't mean to type this much...
...Whoops

any new Star Wars essays in the making, or are you moving on?
I don't know, honestly.
Part of it is "life gets in the way," I'm working a lot and so whatever time I have left is spent just messing around or meeting with my loved ones.
I've got a bunch of stuff in my drafts. I don't mind sharing it here, most recent to oldest:
Sort of a joke post of me pointing out how stressful being George Lucas' producer must've been, like this guy really DIDN'T WANT to write his fucking scripts, did he? Poor Rick McCallum. Abandoned because who gives a crap.
'Ask' reply on how EU-fueled fandom perception of the Jedi was flipped by the prequels.
'Ask' reply about the themes in Ahsoka and why the show doesn't know what it's about. Problem is, I go about it starting from the basics, so nobody's gonna sit through reading a tematic breakdown of the first Pirates of the Carribean movie, The Batman and the original six Star Wars films before I even get to the show at hand.
"Part II" post about what Ahsoka, Rebels and TCW get right about lightsaber duels, which the Prequels never did.
Quote collection & analysis on just how complex the Prequels were meant to be (in the late 80s, Lucas intimated that the Sequels were the story that was supposed to have gray morality, not the Prequels)
Quote collection on how the themes and principles of Star Wars align with Lucas' own opinions and philosophies.
Quote collection on Lucas defining Anakin's flaws.
Quote collection on Lucas talking about the fact that we need to be more proactive, which aligns with what Lumi points out sometimes about the Jedi: they should've been more politically engaged because we all should be.
Why I approach Lucas as "word of god".
Personal life/joke-y post dating from the time of the WGA strike about how Jack Black's School of Rock lyrics "In his heart he knew, the artist must be true, but the legend of the rent was way past due!" applied to me. Abandoned because I didn't wanna bum everyone out.
Correcting the notion that Dark Times-era Jedi such as Kanan or Ezra or Ahsoka represent what Jedi were supposed to be.
A comprehensive end-all outlook on how Anakin's flaws all tie together. I've written this one twice and I don't know how to differentiate it from my other posts.
A secret "Part 3" to my TLJ Luke post, in which I point out that RJ's being too "indie", while being a strong point for a big chunk of the film, hampers the film's ability to make Luke feel as badass as he does on paper. I want to illustrate a storyboard for this one, but that takes time.
The evolution of Star Wars' approach to transmedia.
Debunking Star Wars myths: a (very) comprehensive outlook on children in the Jedi Order.
Problem is that only like 2/3rds of these are fully-written... and I still need to find the relevant clips, turn them into GIFs, etc etc.
There's many other interesting Asks in my inbox btw. But I'm already behind on all these, so I haven't begun to touch them.
Then there's the drawings.
I wanna draw a comic of the meeting between Yoda and Dooku in Dark Rendezvous. I wanna finish the comic fight between Maul and Ben. I wanna draw Mace, Shaak Ti, I've got a Luminara fan-art that was supposed to be ready for Jedi June 2022 and an Anakin drawing that looks weird. No time, nor am I skilled enough. (Like, I trace, that's what I do, it's not a secret I've said so before... but it takes me a long while to do so. I'm not fast at drawing, let alone coloring.) I could commission some of these, but there are obvious obstacles there.
There's fun tidbits I've discovered here and there but nobody will care about them and I usually try to not drown my blog with bs posts.
Then there's the bigger problem.
All the things I've listed above? I'm not 100% motivated to finish. But a lot of the new stuff I wanna write about is hella negative.
I had a lot of stuff I wanted to say about Ahsoka. But it wasn't all good. It was mostly me bitching, be it about the show or the fandom's reactions to it.
I've also got more stuff to say about Filoni's take on Star Wars, but I've talked about why it's inaccurate like 8 times already, and I don't actually dislike the guy, like there's plenty of things he knows and does that I think are awesome but also people won't stop putting him and his takes on a pedestal and--
oh shit, there's Acolyte too, I forgot about that, gray morality galore, here we come. But here too, like... I've talked a couple of times about why this entire gray morality thing is actually just the gen X-ers trying to make the prequels "cool" and "complex". but I've never explored properly, with quotes and research and shit. but i've talked about it so many times that at this point it'd end up like the Filoni rants, redundant. "we get it already." as if this show didn't have haters lined round the block for absolutely sexist reasons.
Don't get me started on the mountain of lies and/or idiocy that is the YouTuber Star Wars Theory.
And yet he said one thing a few months ago which struck a chord within me and it's the fact that Andor is awesome, excels on all levels because it's treated seriously, like a proper show, not a Disney Plus one... why wasn't Obi-Wan Kenobi? Why wasn't Book of Boba Fett? And I've already established multiple times that I enjoyed Kenobi (yes, including the Reva parts) and I've established that I know what they were going for in Fett and I've established that this is mainly a "Disney Plus didn't know how to structure a fucking show pre-WGA strike" issue more than anything else... but when I think about how these could've been treated instead? When I look at the characterizations and emotional stakes of like Fargo Season 5? It's infuriating. Because it's not bad (talking about Kenobi, BOBF is awful)... but it could've been EXCELLENT and instead it was just "okay" to "good".
I just miss live action lightsaber duels, man. Like, good ones.
and i dunno. maybe I should just let it rip on all this. "go off, king!"
but I think there's so much negativity re: Star Wars that adding my thoughts on these subjects, no matter how structured and reason, will just blend into a wave of needless, un-constructive hate.
maybe I should finish the writings in the drafts and just post them with no gifs, maybe just still images?
but doing any of that feels like a step back.
So that's where I'm at right now.

For the last couple years I've been keeping a handwritten list of good horror stories I've read. I guess the most recommendable ones are The Music of Erich Zann by Lovecraft, The Stolen Body by Wells, Mimic by Wollheim, The Thing in the Weeds by Hodgson, Cyclops by Leiber, The Screaming Man by Beaumont, and The Open Window by Saki. I might type up and post the whole list on my blog after I've done some more reading (my list of things I still need to read grows much faster than the other list).
Tumblr media
Including your other suggestions so I can tackle them all in one post.
I wasn't sure I was going to get to all these but I ended up being kinda knocked out by a nasty cold this week and had time to lay up in bed reading through all of them. Which was an absolute pleasure! Thank you for putting this list together. For fun I thought I'd do a mini-review of each story.
For context, I'm the kind of guy that's read probably every H. P. Lovecraft or Clark Ashton Smith story ever published. I had devoured most of Jules Verne and H. G. Wells by the time I was 14. What I'm trying to say is that I'm already a nerd pre-disposed to loving any Weird Fiction or early sci-fi/horror. If that kind of stuff isn't your speed, then adjust your expectations accordingly.
Also SPOILERS AHEAD for 50-100+ year old short stories.
"The Music of Erich Zann" - H. P. Lovecraft - 1921: This was always going to get a recommendation from me, I just enjoy Lovecraft too much. I'm glad I re-read it though, it had been a while and I think this might be one of my favorite of his stories now. The thing that stood out to me this time around was the exploration of the relationship between Zann and the anonymous protagonist. Feels uncharacteristic of a Lovecraft story to focus so much on the interactions between two human characters and it's done with a fair bit of depth. Bonus: no Lovecraftian racism in this story! Also check out this thrash/prog banger from the Mekong Delta album named after this story.
"The Stolen Body" - H. G. Wells - 1898: So when I opened up my copy of A Dream of Armageddon: The Complete Supernatural Tales (a misnomer it turns out, because it didn't contain the other Wells story on this list) I was surprised to find a bookmark exactly halfway through "The Stolen Body" from where I must've stopped the last time I tried reading this anthology over a decade ago. And I can understand why I would've stopped there because this story is kind of a slog. The premise is fine- a man severs his consciousness from his physical body in the course of an experiment in astral projection and is alarmed to find that when he attempts to return to corporeality another spirit has already taken possession of his frame. The problem is that this story is recounted twice- first from the perspective of a friend where, in spite of their incomplete information, it's pretty obvious what has transpired, and then a second time from the astral-projecting protagonist himself. In the protagonist's telling there's an interesting account of his journey through a kind of vapid hell where body-less spirits wander through eternity suffering of boredom and only able to interact with the physical world via mediums but the concept isn't explored in any depth and is recounted in a painfully "tell, don't show" manner. Can't say I recommend, but it's an interesting artifact of a time when late 19th century occultic beliefs showed up in sci-fi. Kind of like how a lot of 50s-70s sci-fi features psychics.
"Mimic" - Donald A Wollheim - 1942: My favorite story from the list. It's weird, compelling, and extremely brief. I won't summarize it because I think you should just read it. Surprised I hadn't heard of it before, especially since there's apparently a Guillermo Del Toro film adaptation of it? Also surprisingly difficult to track down the text. There are a few incomplete versions of it floating around but if you want the full story, I found it as part of this anthology on archive.org.
"The Thing in the Weeds" - William Hope Hodgson - 1913: - Before this, my only exposure to Hodgson had been "The House on the Borderland" (great story by the way), and reading the "The Thing in the Weeds" has me thinking I should dig a bit deeper into his bibliography. Conveys a sense of claustrophobia and anxiety that feels like classic "Weird Tales" fare while dealing with much lower stakes than unnameable cosmic beings. Maybe more horror stories should be set on the open sea...
"Cyclops" - Fritz Leiber - 1965: This is not a story, this is Leiber's idea for a cool vacuum-dwelling space creature dressed up as a story. Dialogue feels totally unnatural, characters are blank slates, tension is set at zero. But the creature is pretty darn cool and the story is very short. So if you want to just read about a neat alien, go ahead!
"The Howling Man" - Charles Beaumont - 1959: I had already seen the Twilight Zone adaptation of this story a while back so I knew the outline of the plot already, but that in no way diminished my joy in reading this. Beaumont's prose is highly engaging and contains a surprising amount of humor that I don't remember being present in the television version. The only real weak point is the ending. I think a bit more ambiguity over whether and to what the extent the Howling Man and the Abbott were lying to the protagonist would've demanded more introspection from the reader. The idea that releasing the Howling Man / Satan is the direct cause of WWII feels a little too simplistic and also depends on this weird assertion that the early Weimar Republic was experiencing an unprecedented era of peace and prosperity that I'm pretty sure doesn't hold up to historical scrutiny. Still highly recommend, a very fun read!
"The Open Window" - Saki / H. H. Munro - 1914: Less a horror story and more a... silly story? I don't know how to describe it other than it feels like the kind of thing you would have to read and analyze for a single high-school English period. Didn't really do anything for me but it's like a 5-minute read so check it out if you want. Does make me wish I could go on one of those "retreats to the countryside for my nerves" that turn-of-the-century English gentleman and ladies are always going on.
"In the Abyss" - H.G. Wells - 1896: A much better Wells story! And I was lucky enough to find this in the other print Wells anthology I own. (I have an addiction to bringing home old paperbacks I don't need but it's a cheap addiction and I don't have the heart to break it. Plus they're all on shelves and alphabetized so my wife can't get mad at me. Anyway, it's the shelves and shelf space that gets expensive...) It can be a little bit "gadget fiction-y" in its description of the submersible but overall it's well-paced with some good tension and a truly weird exploration of an underwater world. Recommend if you're looking for something outright odd or you like specifically underwater sci-fi. Don't recommend if you don't like thinking about the ways you might die in a submersible.
"The Stone Ship" - William Hope Hodgson - 1914: An interesting and definitely weird story, again about strange happenings on the open sea. Stretches the premise a bit too much, both in the actual length of the story and in my willingness to suspend my disbelief of the "scientific" explanation given at the end. I enjoyed it, but for a spookier and shorter take on a similar premise I'd recommend Lovecraft's "Dagon."
Anyway, thank you again @siryl for your recommendations, I had a blast reading through them!

Get to know me tag game
I was tagged by @traincat! 🩷 Tag whoever you want to get to know better!
Three ships: ikesoren (fire emblem path of radiance / radiant dawn) , who thanks to @ladypfenix have been nearly all I've been thinking about. Bingqiu (scum villain self saving system) who are still my darlings who I love to write for. Merthur (bbc merlin) an old ship for me that I've been reviving lately through this one long fic I really want to write.
First ship: I genuinely don't remember. I've been getting obsessed with media I like since forever and kid me definitely had some ships from cartoons and stuff like that. I thiink the first one I joined fandom for must've been anime related but I have no idea.
Last song: Lost - BTS
Last film: split. It was as frustrating an experience as I imagined it would be, but a friend wanted to see it.
Currently reading: Emily Wilde's Encyclopaedia of Faeries. I was told it was a cozy book about faeries, it's delivering so far!
Currently watching: I've been watching suspicious partner for the first time and re-watching inuyasha. It's been fun to have some romances to wind down with after I spent a week watching solely horror and suspense movies with a friend (well, suspicious partner does have a murder mystery plot... but still, it's a romance, it manages to be pretty chill).
Currently consuming: if this means food, nothing. For things in general, I guess fanfic.
Currently craving: soup, since I was told it might be a dinner option.
Tagging: @fireandgrimstone @gothicakvtagawa @transmanjohnconstantine @sepia-mahogany @oneeyedoctogod and anyone else who'd like to join!

"Hey, Regulus... That was fun, right?"
It had indeed been fun. It'd been long since Regulus just enjoyed an evening laughing, drinking and listening to stupid pop music. Actually he had never done that. He used to think those kind of plans were hideous. Regulus and Barty used to criticize people who did that.
But it wasn't actually that bad. When he was drunk and laughing he could ignore the horrible music.
"Yeah... I guess..."
Amycus smiled as he opened their dorm door. As expected, their roommates were already asleep. Alan and... Barty....
Barty had his curtains shut. He had been a bit upset when he wasn't invited to The Knights party. Or so Regulus thought. But he understood this was part of his plan, right?
Regulus was so close to fully win his father's trust. And Orion had been too occupied giving Regulus attention that he finally left Sirius alone. He wasn't sure about doing everything to get his precious Heir back. He could replace him with another: Regulus. Sirius could live his life in peace. And when Orion was in jail, Walburga could be in peace too. Perhaps they all would.
Amycus giggled in a whisper.
"I think I am a bit drunk still"
Regulus looked at him and faked a smile.
"Yeah, me too"
Regulus was ready to go to bed when Amycus called.
"Hey, Regulus..."
Regulus turned. Amycus was smiling. Regulus didn't know if it was the alcohol.
"You are actually pretty cool..." he said "I am glad you are part of The Knights"
For a second, Regulus felt bad. But he didn't like Amycus. Or Nick. Or Samuel. Or the rest of the Knights. They were superficial, and they only talked about girls, which was annoying. They  thought themselves better than the whole school just because they were rich and popular. The worst kind, as Regulus and Barty used to say.
But maybe Regulus had been spending a lot of time with them. And maybe he had been learning, they were more than stupid blokes. They had their own issues as well. But still, Regulus couldn't like them. They were very different. This was all part of his plan.
Orion had been a Knight and he said his time as one was the best experience of his life. So Regulus was doing the same to please him.
Regulus gave a small smile to Amycus and walked to his bed.
The next morning, Barty was distant with Regulus. He made sarcastic jokes and gagging noises when one of The Knights said hello to him. And Amycus didn't leave his side.
"Can I sit with you in Biology?" Amycus asked, as he placed himself next to Regulus, practically pushing Barty away. Of course Regulus didn't notice that "I don't want Professor Sprout to pick me up as a volunteer again"
Regulus turned to Barty.
"Ehm..." Regulus said "Barty always sits with me"
"Barty won't mind, would he?" Amycus asked, giving Barty a soft punch of the shoulder. He didn't look happy.
"I actually mind, Carrow..." Barty was probably going to insult him but he stopped when Regulus told him to shut up with his eyes "But... I guess I would like to be close to Professor Sprout to see how she dissects the frog..." he smirked "I want to see clearly how the blood and organs come out of its body"
Barty left with an evil smirk, pushing both of them as he passed. Regulus almost smiled. He loved Barty's eccentricities. But he looked rather angry. Was it against Amycus or himself?
Amycus giggled nervously "He is joking, right?"
"Oh no... Barty loves to see how the blood pops out"
Amycus must've taken it as a joke because he laughed. Regulus smiled.
******
Regulus discovered that in fact, Barty was angry with him. He had to spend the rest of the afternoon with The Knights and it was no fun this time.
"Barty... Why have you been ignoring me all day?" Regulus asked when he found Barty alone in their dorm.
"Busy editing my film..." Barty shrugged.
"I've been looking for you"
"Annoyed with your new friends already?" Barty asked sarcastically.
"They are not my friends. You are" Regulus swallowed.
Barty didn't answer.
"I am just pretending because of my plan"
Barty finally looked up at him. His green eyes seemed bigger in the dark.
"You know what I think?" Barty asked. Regulus didn't answer "I think you are enjoying this assignment a bit too much"
"What do you mean?" Regulus spat "You know why I am doing this..."
"What is the reason?" Barty asked, now leaving his computer aside and standing up in a challenging way "Because I think you've forgotten about it..."
Regulus raised an eyebrow.
"Do you have something to say?"
Barty laughed "You are enjoying being the new center of attention, don't you?"
Regulus was speechless. Especially because he hated being seen, worst being the center of attention. Regulus loved being invisible.
"What?"
"You've always been the shadow of your brother... And now that he is gay and tossed aside, you are loving taking his place, don't you?"
Barty meant all of this. And Regulus was furious. He pushed Barty back.
"That's not true!" Regulus screamed "I am doing this to help him, and to destroy the asshole of my father!"
"That was before tasting what is like to be a Knight... To be the king of the school..." Barty laughed "You are enjoying yourself so much...that I bet you wank every night thinking about it"
Regulus punched Barty in the face. He had never punched anyone before so his knuckles hurt and bleed.
Barty wasn't surprised. He touched his bleeding nose and smiled. Then he continued.
"I heard you talking with Amycus last night... Your new best friend" he added in a mocking voice "You don't know what you are becoming... You might be the Black Heir..." he smiled sadly "But not my Regulus anymore. Not my best friend"
"Is this what this is about?" Regulus asked "You are jealous of Amycus?" he snorted not quite believing it.
Barty looked furious now.
"Admit that you are enjoying being the center of attention! You love being the freaking king that everyone wants to be and every girl wants to shag!" Barty was yelling now.
Okay... Perhaps sometimes Regulus enjoyed being a normal teenager. Forgetting about his fucked up life and his fucked up family, the nightmares he had, or the sleepless nights. He had been constantly sad and numb for a long time and it felt great to just hear the others talk bullshit and get drunk in a party. Normal stuff.
But God, Regulus hated the attention. He hated that Orion and Walburga were becoming more and more proud of him, ignoring Sirius. He hated that Sirius detested what he thought he was becoming. That they fought each time they saw each other. Or that he had to pretend to fancy Pandora and girls in general, because Sirius was gay now and Regulus couldn't afford to be the same. Regulus didn't fancy anyone. He wanted to be left alone.
And he was bloody furious that Barty thought he had been enjoying himself all this bloody time. He had been living a nightmare.
"No!" Regulus yelled back "I am doing something to change my life... Unlike you, Barty"
Barty snorted amused "What do you mean, Black?"
"You are always complaining and complaining about your stupid life, and your twat father but you don't do anything about it!"
Barty looked hurt. He tensed everytime someone mentioned his father. He hated that old man. That's why he didn't scandalise when Regulus told him his plan. They both shared their hatred for their fathers.
"And what I am I supposed to do?" Barty spat "Put him to jail like you are going to do with yours?"
"At least I am not a coward like you"
Barty approached so quickly that Regulus thought he was going to punch him. But Barty just grabbed his shirt.
"THAT'S NOT TRUE AND YOU FUCKING KNOW IT! I AM NOT AFRAID OF MY FATHER!" Barty screamed on Regulus' face "I MISS YOU!!" he added with tears in his eyes.
Regulus was too shocked to respond.
"I miss when when it was only the two of us..." Barty carried on trying not to cry. He still was grabbing Regulus' shirt "Before freaking Pandora and Emmeline... And the fucking Knights... Just you and me against the world, remember?"
Regulus sighed "Barty..."
"We were two kids angry with the world and it was fine....I... I miss that... "
Regulus opened his mouth to say something, he didn't know what exactly. But Barty interrupted him with a kiss.
At first, Regulus was surprised and didn't move. But then Barty opened his lips and Regulus had the same uncomfortable sensation he had when Alice kissed him. So he pushed Barty away.
Regulus didn't move. He just stared at Barty.
Barty was all flushed and embarrassed, panting to the floor.
But then his eyes locked with Regulus'
"I love you, Regulus"
"No..." Regulus shook his head.
"I've been in love with you for a long time..."
"No... No..."
Regulus didn't want to lose Barty. Barty was very important for Regulus. His best friend in the whole world. The only one that actually got him, that actually cared, that didn't treat him as a baby. Well, perhaps Pandora as well... But Barty was way more important. He had been there for a long time. Regulus loved him too. But not in the way he wanted. He couldn't love anyone that way. Perhaps Professor Frumentar was right about him. He was one of those.
Regulus had tears in his eyes. He wanted to cry. He didn't want Barty to hate him because he couldn't love him back.
"Reg..."
"You just ruined everything..."
Regulus regretted the minute it came out of his mouth but it was too late.
Barty nodded.
"I get it..." he said "I am not good enough for your precious magesty..." he bowed. Regulus was about to cry "The Black Magesty cannot be gay and worst be seen with a guy like me..."
"No, Barty..."
"It's over..." Barty interrupted "I'm done"
Barty walked out of the room before Regulus could stop him.
Regulus silently cried because he had lost his best friend.

i actually don't play disney magic kingdoms myself, it's just not really my type of game, but i've seen some gameplay of it and read a lot of the little dialogue from it online and it's always seemed really charming and cute! so it really is too bad we might never get to see tarzan characters added to it. i do play disney dreamlight valley on the switch, which is sort of a life sim game like animal crossing but with disney/pixar characters all living together, and a lot more of a story to it with quests you get to do for everyone. it's a lot newer and doesn't have nearly as many characters in it, but a recent update added a jungle biome that would've been perfect for tarzan and jane. i know they'll probably never be added, but if they were then they could live together in the treehouse and we could see how tarzan would feel about living in the valley among so many other humans! there would be so many new things that jane could teach him about.
i recently started collecting lorcana cards after seeing one of rapunzel wearing a green dress, which i found really cool because that was what she had in so much of her concept art! i was also pretty excited to be able to get cards from the emperor's new groove, the great mouse detective, treasure planet, and hercules. i bet they could make some beautiful cards for tarzan... but yeah, that copyright issue is incredibly frustrating. some of my favorite movies may be a bit overlooked or underrepresented by disney, but at least they don't have the legal problem that tarzan has. i guess with once upon a studio they must've wanted to really go all out to make sure every single walt disney animation studios feature could be included! i'm grateful they did, because it would've been a huge shame to see tarzan not even allowed into the special 100th anniversary short. the new movie "wish" also has a tribute to past WDAS films during the credits, where gold-colored drawings of characters from each movie appeared across the screen in chronological order. strangely they actually left out a handful of movies including the black cauldron, but they did include tarzan!
also, i'm sure you already knew about this haha, but just the other day i came across an article from a few years ago where several of the people who worked on tarzan were interviewed and talked about the production. and i learned for the first time that it was originally planned as a direct-to-video movie which would stick closer to the source material with tarzan going to england. i'm obviously very glad that that didn't happen and we got the movie we have now instead. -🌟
Sorry, was out of town for the weekend visiting family.
That's fair about Magic Kingdoms not being your type of game. I think the only real reason I play it is because it's something I can play casually and more of less keep up with, with out it taking too much time.
What I've seen of Dreamlight Valley looks like so much fun! And that would be amazing to see Tarzan and Jane in that game. Probably will never happen, but we can dream!
Ooo, I haven't seen that Rapunzel one, will have to look it up. I've always loved the concept art. So insane to think there's actually even Treasure Planet art in them!!!
Sadly we may never get Tarzan in Lorcana, but I found this artist during the Disemeber challenge on instagram, and he's actually done art for Lorcana. Looks like it was just the one card, Chief Bogo (which he's posted if you go though his stuff). May not be official, but at least here's a Christmas themed idea of what could be if they included Tarzan
instagram
OMG, I never expected any reference to Tarzan in Wish!! I haven't seen it yet (live in a small town, starting to think we may not even get it in our theatre), but now I'm even more excited to see it!
Oh wow, I actually didn't know that! That's so interesting (definitely so grateful they didn't go that route though). Would have been interesting to see how close Disney would get to the source material… don't know if you've ever read the books, but there's a lot of not so family friendly stuff. Also would have been such a waste, given the quality of D2V animation, would have been such a shame to only get Tarzan & Jane quality animation.

If Daniel knows something and is so vocal about it, why would Helmut Marko say he is not close to Checo and Max yet? Like its the opposite reaction to what Horner and Daniel are saying. And from what I read Helmut actually likes Daniel and said they remained in contact the last few years and by his interviews he isnt quit fond of Checo most times, so why say the opposite to Christian about Daniels sim time?
ok interesting point!! i'm gonna say although helmut and christian seem to disagree with each other they don't necessarily contradict. here's why
reason #1: according to the On The Race Australian GP Review Podcast even within Redbull there "seems to be some disagreement as to who’s faster out of DR and Perez between different people/camps". so it's not out of ordinary at all that helmut and christian have disagreements on this subject too. but the fact that there had even been this kind of disagreements in the first place shows that daniel's pace can't have been far off checo's, if not matching. which brings me to my
reason #2: while helmut was talking about the numbers on paper, christian may be talking about trajectory. think about this. daniel has been out of a redbull for FOUR years. and while other drivers (checo) have been training non stop and watching their diet and alcohol intake meticulously etc, daniel has been like, having ALL kinds of fun around the world like the young rich eligible good looking 33 yo that he is. off the top of my head he has been doing talk shows and going to the met gala in ny. clubbing with scotty in vegas for like a week straight. filming with redbull's crew in LA. running around with scotty in uk and australia. attending the wedding in venice. going to race tracks somewhere in the us southwest. so on so forth. and again this is FOUR years after he was last in a red bull. imagine daniel turned up in milton keynes after a wild week with scotty in vegas and then immediately matched checo's pace in the sim. like. that's not realistic? what's realistic is that even if his sim times aren't completely matching checo's right now, he's been on such a positive trajectory that apparently 1. christian is saying "daniel is 10 minutes away from being race ready" 2. daniel wants to come back to this sport 3. it is apparently possible that daniel may be able to race for red bull next year that he's keeping this convo going in the interviews.
to sum up!!! even within rbr ppl from diff camps are having disagreements on who's faster between dr and sp, and even if daniel's sim pace isn't matching checo's (which it might still be bc we all know helmut marko isn't always the best source of info), his sim performances must've been on a strong trajectory

My friend and I went to see Saltburn and went in completely blind (typically we read the whole storyline prior to going). We were not expecting all of that. We agreed that Choices™️ were made that we wouldn’t have made ourselves, haha.
So interested to hear your thoughts if you want to share 🩷
Oh gosh, yeah, haha, I feel like going in blind must've been a bit of a shock.
I kinda knew what to expect because a friend of mine had already told me it was 'if Talented Mr Ripley was dumb' and I'd seen a bit of the press for it so was expecting certain scenes, and look - - I was just commenting to @nakedmonkey, but I do think the worst crime a movie can commit is to be boring, and I don't think it was boring, so it had that going for it at the very least, haha.
Some of the performances were fun (Rosamund Pike in particular is always great), but overall, I just think it was just a really shallow film that was less interested in character arcs or relationships than it was in shock value. It flirted with these rich themes of class and race, power, attraction and intimacy, control and freedom, and it just chose the cheap shot every time. It was more interested in making the audience gasp or cringe than it was in actually having the characters evolve or devolve in a way that - - y'know, told a compelling story, and any shift in a dynamic was handled so limply that it had no real emotional impact.
I don't know. I still had enough fun watching it (my cinema was packed and the audience skewed pretty young, and their response was hilarious), but I just ultimately don't think it had as much to say as it pretended it did.

8 movie & TV show soundtracks that shaped my taste in music
I have always discovered new music I liked through soundtracks❤️ I'm a metalhead these days, but I still listen to other stuff and I wanna share some artists/songs I've only noticed because they were on a certain soundtrack...
Shrek (2001)
Ah being 9/10 years old and listening to Smash Mouth and Eels in my room on my CD Player. Big time nostalgia right there. (I almost wrote Joan Jett, but it's actually a cover by another band)
Billy Elliot (2000)
I watched this movie when I was maybe 12/13? The music of T.Rex really got across the freedom Billy must've felt while dancing. I still listen to "Cosmic Dancer" and sway around in my room, pretending I'm Florence Welch and wearing a long dress with a cape wishing to be free...
A Knight's Tale (2001)
This was my first time actually listening to a David Bowie song! What a great dancing scene... Of course I knew Queen and "We will rock you" before this movie, but it was so much fun how they used it! Queen and David Bowie had a huge impact on my music taste...
10 things I hate about you (1999)
My Heath Ledger era.... It broke my heart when I heard the news in 2008. I'm a huge fan. I watched this a few years after "A Knight's Tale". This songs from this soundtrack feel so romantic and nostalgic to me, I love it. I have a playlist with several songs from 90s/00s romcoms like this and Clueless, Freaky Friday,...
Here is my whole playlist
Elizabethtown (2005)
My Orlando Bloom era. I remember it well. I was 13 when this one came out. My dad is from NY (I live in Germany. Long story short: paternal grandparents are from Germany, moved to the US in the 50s, settled there, had 3 kids, then moved back to Germany in the 70s) and I grew up bilingual. Although there's a lot of stuff that separates me from the American lifestyle and my family members who still live there... this movie somehow sparks a deeply cozy feeling inside me and a longing for the friendliness and warm attitude of US-Americans that I experienced in my visits in 2005 and 2016. And the soundtrack plays a big role in that.
Twilight (2008)
Paramore & Muse, 2 bands I still listen to occasionally. Both have changed greatly and I like to listen to the old stuff. It takes me back to the long train rides to school when I was 16-18 I think.. I had an orange iPod nano!
Starter for 10 (2006)
I found this during my James McAvoy era! It's really cute! Idk when I watched it exactly. I know I had heard of The Cure, The Undertones, Tears for Fears before, but this time I really listening to their songs!
Good Vibrations (2012)
I absolutely love music films... This one is based on a true story about the punk rock scene of Belfast in the 70s and it's amazing.
Here's my complete playlist of my fav 70s/80s punk rock
Originally this list had Supernatural and Stranger Things on it, but that's just basically my love for 80s pop and dad rock and they don't need a mention :D
Tagging everyone who might want to know more about me: @fenharel-enaste @lotrnonsense @lazymeriadoc @elrondscalaquendi @starlady66 @elronds-pointy-ears @bananaphanta @runawaymun @jefferson-in-the-tardis @depressedplatypus @kesiadebv @moriondors @corrodedbisexual @goldfearless

Another Q - you were there for the finale episode, right? And saw Laura and Wilmer? Were there any cute behind the scenes moments with the OG cast? And what was it like to see Laura as the director?
@thatseventiesbitch thank you SO much for the question!! I love talking about attending the tapings, honestly, it's not to brag, it's because it was that much fun! I remember when coming back from the first taping I would not shut up about it on the ride back to my friend's house.
Back to your question, yes I did attend the taping for the finale and it actually was pure luck that I did, when I booked those tickets they still had two other tapings listed, I was so surprised when they announced to use we'd be seeing the finale.
Yes I did see Wilmer and Laura! They did not see me, sadly but I saw them lol My dad actually saw Laura driving into the studio as we were waiting to go inside! Wilmer we didn't see until Fez came into the scene, it was a complete surprise, the audience went wild.
It was really awesome to see Laura direct, the only thing that I didn't really like but at the same time I understood why it had to be done, but since Laura was directing her scenes as Donna had all been preshot and played to the audience on the TV screens they have there. Most of these scenes has Red and or Kitty >:( But like I said, I get why they were pre-shot and at least I did get to see one scene with Red and Kitty together at the beginning.
You could tell Debra Jo Rupp was really proud of Laura and her directing them tho, I remember she made a comment to the audience about it. It was really sweet.
Wilmer and Kurtwood clearly had alot of fun filming the scene in the driveway as Fez and Red. Must've reminded them of the mess ups during the shower scene from season 6 that also happens to be called back in the driveway scene. I remember to Wilmer kept flubbing on the 'Baby Back' joke and had to do several takes, once trying a different joke but when it fell flat he said something like 'You just want me to say it now don't you?' and ten he ended up doing the 'Baby back' line again. I also remember between takes of this scene, Kurtwood swinging his cane like it was a golf club, towards the audience. That was kinda nice to see, it told me he wasn't dependent on the cane but it was something that was helping him. I was honestly happy (and relieved) to see they'd given Red a cane when I came back for this episode.
More cute moments from this episode that I remember were:
Debra Jo, Callie, and Ashley jumping and dancing around to 'Jump Around' The music they play between takes is a lot of fun 90s music.
Debra Jo Rupp and Kurtwood Smith having a discussion at the kitchen table between takes of their first scene. Couldn't hear them but I know once Debra Jo Rupp was refolding the newspaper while talking with him. And another time she was talking to him with her hands on her hips and Kurtwood moved his hands up to his chest in a sorta 'Me?' kinda movement-wish I knew what they'd been talking about, but it ended with her hugging him before they shot their scene.
Reyn actually got the mic for a bit and talked to the audience but it was Wilmer who made a really nice speech about coming back to do the show and how talented to new kids were, it was really nice.
The scene in Sherri's kitchen, I remember Wilmer at Laura sorta having moment with figuring out how Fez should be sitting and him playfully saying something like 'Now that she's the fancy director' lol
The Kitty and Jay scene was the last scene to be shot and it was way off on the set the audience could only see it filmed through the monitors, but there were quite a few bloopers from that scene most from Debra Jo
Thank you so much again fro sending in this question! I know you sent in another one and I'll answer it soon. Hope you don't mind me answering this one first. Your other question, I think I'm gonna share possibly my favorite moment that I saw at the taping. :)
My inbox is like The Forman House, it’s always unlocked and open! Stop in anytime 😀
