Now that my fic is completed (and after a number of not so great commission experiences) I'd like to give recognition to the artists that I had an exceptionally lovely experience with ♥

@thirstykateyes - your sketches look really good and also the monochrome was done so well that my brain barely comprehends that there were only a few colours (and you drew a very handsome Gaz, seriously that image of him lives rent free 😌).

@yeshihellodani - you were the only person who gave me my two pieces of art within 24 hours both times! You truly expedited that, one-day delivery! And the shine on the urn looks damn realistic.

@s3rrrpentine - your $5 ghoap commissions were crazy and you added so many little details too. And i love all your little emoticons when we were talking (i would have yoinked that final commission slot, i would have i would have, my greedy hands would have been all over that 😄)

@you-may-call-me-meme - queen of all things cute. If you're looking for some cutesy, femme, pastels, pretty girls, definitely check her out! 💗 And the flowers you drew on the teapot looked so nice.

@maicandy - the way that you draw ghost and soap 😍 The skin texture looked really realistic - the scars, the freckles, the hair, everything (which is good because it just so turned out that I made you draw two shirtless images 😅).

Whew, okay, well... while Daisy has a huge place in my heart (especially lately, as you can tell 😹), my all-time favorite will always be Luigi.

See, the funny thing is that I hardly cared for him before the movie, and even a little after I watched the movie. My first favorite Mario character was actually Rosalina when SMG came out, because I was SO obsessed with space when I was younger (and still kinda am), and blue was and is my favorite color (such a deep reason, right? :P)

I always tend to lean towards the underdogs of a franchise, yet I don't remember the exact moment that drew me to him. There were just a bunch of edits and videos of him flooding all of my social media pages when the movie hype was still fresh, and I guess one day I decided, "yup. that's my guy."

I think the moment that really solidified my love for him was when I replayed Luigi's Mansion (I kiiinda played it before, but I was 4 and just pressing buttons lol... it's strangely a core memory for me). His bravery throughout the game despite his evident fears and anxieties is just... so inspiring and real to me, genuinely. And a little bit of him shone through his commentary of some of the objects throughout the mansion, which was also endearing 😆 The game gets creepier the deeper I think about it, and I just can't help but give him more flowers for going through it three different times!

plus, he's just so happy and awkward and silly. how could you not love him?!

But in short, he's my favorite because he's relatable to me, and I find his little quirks adorable and endearing.

How y’all met

Ok so you were in Paris studying art and one day you were just vibing in an outdoor cafe doing some sketching

Liebgott was out with Luz and Webster just vibing on their weekend passes

Turns out they were at the same cafe!!

So you noticed the three of them hanging out and being Adorable so of course it’s sketchy sketchy time

You do this gorgeous picture of the three of them that just really captures the playful energy and happy vibes they were giving off

But Joe noticed you looking over and immediately is like wow she’s heckin cute

So he tries to catch your eyes every time you look up and he does a couple of times and just gives you THAT SMIRK YOU KNOW WHICH ONE and he can see you blush from his table and just thinks you’re SO CUTE

Joe decides to excuse himself for a second and saunters over to you, like, he needs to talk to you or else he’s gonna explode

“Couldn’t help but notice your pretty eyes kept looking over” he smooth talks as he takes the empty seat at your table

Before you can respond he sees your drawing and is just like

Jaw drop

Joe just drops all of his flirty smooth talking and in a sweet, honest voice, “you drew that? …that's how you saw me?”

Sweet boy just goes kinda quiet while staring at your drawing but he quickly snaps back to his senses, albeit a little frazzled

“Um, I’m Joe,” he says politely, stretching out a hand to you

Long story short he got a weekend pass to Paris any time he could and wrote to you every day

Lowkey you’d always put a little doodle on your letters back to him and he’d never admit it but all week he’d be looking forward to your letter and see what you drew this time

How he knew he loves you

So it’s one of the times when he got a weekend pass and y’all are having a picnic in the park just vibing and having a lovely time

All of a sudden a baseball comes rolling over to y’all and you notice a couple of itty bitty kids have started running over

You pick up the baseball and hand it to them and they start to apologize but you’re so sweet and they’re so stinking cute they just laugh and say thank you before running back to their game

Joe was sitting back watching the interaction and all he could see was you with a bunch of little Liebgotts

It just kind of hit him, he doesn’t want anybody else, you’re his person

As you’re coming back to sit down he takes your hand and just pulls you into his lap

Before you can protest he plants a soft, sweet kiss on your lips

“I’m in love with you, doll”

You can barely hear it but it still brings tears to your eyes

And you knew you found your person

A conflict and how y’all resolved it

So it’s after the war and you were back at home doing some sketches

It’s around the time Joe is supposed to be home but he’s still not home??

Finally you’re about to go to bed and Joe walks in the door

“Hey love! Long day at work?” you say, trying to mask your worry/relief as you give him a welcome home hug

“Yeah, something like that,” he replies half-heartedly as y’all go back and get ready for bed

This happens three more times in the week

You never get to see Joe, and when you do see him he’s too tired to talk

Not to mention the Intrusive Thoughts start happening

He can’t be seeing someone else…right?

So it’s finally the weekend and Joe has the day off

Or so you thought

You’re up and making coffee when Joe makes his way out

“Hey babydoll I’m gonna go try and get a few fares in,” he says casually, about to give you a goodbye peck on the cheek

Except all the worry and loneliness just kinda boils out of you

“Joey I haven’t seen you all week and now you’re picking up cab shifts on Saturday!?”

“Well I was just trying to make us some extra cash…”

“We’ve already paid our bills this month! Besides you could at least take today to be at home!”

The air is heavy while the two of you just stand there quietly

Joe has an anxious look in his eyes, looking everywhere but you as his hand comes up to the back of his neck

You notice and tears start welling up

“Tell me there isn’t someone else,” you’re barely able to make out without a sob accompanying your words

Suddenly Joe’s expression completely changes

His eyes immediately meet yours with shock and concern

“Baby is that why you think I’ve been out every night?”

You stay quiet and look down at the floor, unsure if you feel silly, embarrassed, frustrated, or some combination of the three

“Oh sweetheart…” Joe immediately comes over and wraps you up in a warm, tight hug

You let a few sobs escape as you melt into his embrace, wrapping your arms around him

“You know I’d never do that to you love, shit there’s no one out there that even begins to compare to you,” Joe tells you in a quiet, sincere voice

“Then why have you been going out so much?”

Joe pulls away from the hug and looks down at the floor, almost appearing embarrassed

“I wanted to surprise you… I’m saving up for your birthday present.”

And you just ???? “What could you be getting that could need you to work so much?”

“I just always saw how you looked at pictures of Ireland and how you always say you’d like to go somewhere on a vacation…”

“Joey, are you saving up to take me there?”

“... I was saving up so we could fly first class and get a nice fancy hotel, you deserve the best…”

Now you start sobbing again but for a whole new reason

Joe looks at you again with concern when he hears you start crying again but you just take his face in your hands and give him the biggest kiss ever

“You’re the sweetest man I’ve ever met, you know that?”

He winds up staying home that day ❤️

Your Happily Ever After

So y’all get married after the war and you move to San Francisco with your mans

You have twin girls who you both love to the moon and back

Your family is just as you pictured it and so much more - like it's so clear to everyone how much all four of you love each other

Every weekend you, Joe, and your girls are in the park trying something new

One weekend Joe is teaching them to ride bikes and helping them up when they fall

The next weekend they’re showing you the flowers that they drew cuz they wanna be artists like you

At the end of each day after you put the girls to bed you just sit on your couch with Joe and lean your head on his shoulder and life couldn’t be more perfect

A silly headcanon about your relationship

Y’all always do family costumes for Halloween and it’s the best thing ever

One year you were superheroes

You and Joe were Superman and Wonder Woman and the twins were Batman and Robin

Another year you were Cruella and the three of them dressed as dalmatians

Nothing compares though to when the Easy Company Reunion fell on Halloween Weekend

So, unbeknownst to Joe, the three of you dressed as his friends for Halloween

Of course you dressed up as Webster

And the girls just begged to go as Uncle George and Uncle Joe

The only ones smiling bigger than Joe were Luz and Toye when they saw their mini me's

Joe keeps the picture from that Halloween in his wallet and another copy in his cab visor

Are they all song lyrics? Or particular references to phrases/idioms? English is not my first language and some titles have made me very curious, I would love to know more about them <3

Oh, gosh, let me think. A couple have been song lyrics, like 'take my breath away' and 'in cautious tones'. Most are just ones I've come up with that have puns that relates to the story Marked As Present - Both our boys are there and 'marked as present' but also, a present was given, so two meanings of the word

Eating Out: They ordered out for dinner but also for, (cough) sexytimes reasons Sketch Comedy - Comedy that's based in 'sketches' but it's also about Lucifer's sketchbook.

A lot are sayings from the 1920's and 1930's: The Cat's Pajamas - it was a way to say something was cool, but also it's about Alastor's pajamas Gone Blotto at the Juice Joint - means 'getting drunk at the bar' Dizzy Up The Boy - in the 20's, to say you were  'dizzy with a dame' meant to be deeply in love with a woman.

And some are just saying from any time period: Staircase Wit - That's when you think of all the things you should have said in an argument while walking away, like you were walking down the stairs away. Egg On Your Face - Means to be embarrassed about something you said or did I just have fun with them. 😁

Artist Process Post

Some process pics and behind the scenes for my Sam and Dean Costume artwork 😄:

My usual style for digital artwork is free-hand painting. I usually either build a reference scene in a 3D modeller or I draw a messy concept sketch from reference photos to get my basic shapes. Next I do a neater sketch on a new layer in Procreate and turn off my old concept sketch layer. After that I draw block colours on a layer underneath my sketch layer, before finally painting the shading and detailed features on a new layer over the top of it all. I use this process because I am a self-taught digital artist coming from a traditional art background. Plus I just really like painting 😄 - laying down colour in freehand brush strokes to build up my picture - it lets me adjust and change my ideas as I go (pre-planning is not my forte! 😅). However a lot of digital art originated in animation and anime styles, so it uses line art and colour fills in closed shapes to produce a much cleaner style. I thought I’d change up my regular process and give that style a go here and I’m really proud of my novice achievements 😄

I still started with a sketch of the boys. I drew the poses and body shapes in blue, using classic superhero poses and musculature. Then on a new layer I added the costume details in red. (I had loads of fun with this stage, it took me back to teenage me who used to draw comic book heroes instead of doing my homework 😂)

Next I lowered the opacity of my sketch and did some line work on a new layer. The trick here is to try and draw clean smooth lines in a single stroke and to make sure that the lines meet so that shapes are closed. (Later on you select individual closed shapes and fill them with colour, but if you have left gaps in your lines the colour floods out into other areas or fills up the whole page.) My lines aren’t the smoothest (I messy sketch for a reason! I have very shaky hands!!😂) and they also don’t have much nuance to them (lines should vary in thickness to add emphasis and flow to the design) but I was just pleased my work was neat-ish and still looking like my concept! 😄

The next stage is flat colour. This is a straightforward stage if you have taken time on the line work. I selected the areas that I wanted and used the fill tool to add my chosen colours inside the lines. (I also painted a freehand background to add atmosphere before I started on my shading.)

The final stages I did were shading and lighting. I drifted back towards my traditional painting style with the shading. Anime styles often use single colour shadows in block shapes, or gradient overlays to add depth, but instead I clipped my shading layer over the top of my flat colour (clipping a layer prevents you from accidentally going outside the edges of the layer below) and hand painted shadows, tone variations and highlights with freehand strokes and a blender brush. The final layer on top of that I used the hard light setting to paint on glows and shine.

And that’s everything. 😄 All in all this took me about 8 hours but that’s because I’m incredibly slow at line work 😭 (I spent soooo much time erasing and undoing crappy lines) and because freehand painting my shading layer is much slower than using block shape shadows - but I would need a lot more practice at that to make it look good, freehand painting is slower but it let’s me cover more of my errors as I go 😁. So while this art style for this pic is still not as clean or as efficient as typical anime/animation style digital artwork, I’m really pleased with the look of it compared to my usual loose style.

P.s. if you hadn’t noticed, I’m not an expert! This is not a tutorial, this is just an explanation of how I did this this time - and I’m learning more every day. I know during that time period men were very polite and what not and Benedict is that, for sure. But I also feel like he does it out of respect for Clover, too. So yes, there's some sense of honor or duty, but really he just respects her.

Also, Clover has a lot of respect for him as he slowly gains her trust. She may not recognize it as that though hahaha

There was a part in Enamored where Anthony apologizes for almost calling someone a prick in front of Cherie, but I don't think Benedict would even come close to that. So the ways you've portrayed them is so fun to read (even though it's not the same universe haha) I just don't see Ben losing his cool like that, or even be jealous.

Well, maybe possessive but not really jealous? There's a part of me that wants to see him lose his cool but I don't want Clover to be pushed back to the beginning, even if the anger wasn't directed at her.

And I want more scenes of them with her family. And for him to show her more of his sketches of her! I think it would build her trust if he came to her for her opinion. And I could go on about where I want them to go 🤣 but I like not knowing, even if it is a very slow burn hahaha. You're doing great.

Okay those were my "I'm stuck at an airport" thoughts hahaha

So first of all you're absolutely right! I feel like it's a mixture of honor and duty as a part of his upbringing, because both Anthony and Benedict -and also Colin- were brought up to be very careful with their language around people, especially ladies, but Benedict also wants to make sure Clover doesn't really witness any aggressive behaviour from him because even if he doesn't know what exactly happened, he knows she witnessed some aggression as she was growing up 💔

And I agree! Like, Anthony and Cherie's relationship was very dramatic and Anthony did want to shelter Cherie from certain things but it wasn't because it would 'scare her off' so to speak, it was because of the manners and it definitely was not seen as appropriate to curse in front of a lady, that's why he immediately stopped himself even if he was very jealous and furious 😁 But Benedict is like...even more careful around Clover, so he wouldn't get to that point at least where she could see/hear 😁 Because he knows it would make her withdraw back into her shell❤️

Meanwhile Cherie was mostly unbothered and was like "Explain to me what it means!" 😂

So we want jealous/possessive Benedict then? 😈 Ooooh I wonder how that would go! 😏❤️

Went thru my old sketchbooks and found my old Undertale ocs (and self insert lol but more on them later-)

Bit of lore under the cut lol

I think their lore was something like... 4 friends, Addams and Sabrina are siblings, Zenda has a crush on Sabrina. At some point, Sabrina somehow... Disappears? And this tears the friend group apart. And Jackly for some reason knew something about it. By the time the human falls in the underground Jackly is more lonely than cyclops eye.

If not obvious by now Jackly was the most relevant of them he was my pretty little guy my skrimblo my- you get it. He also was a bit of a sans, because of course he was. But also in retrospective I feel like he resembles more Undyne. Anyway, he fights you only if you kill his (former) friends. But you know he was inspired by sans, look at him wearing Addams' scarf and holding Zenda's umbrella!

By the way, Zenda was a resident of Waterfalls and the siblings of Snowdin. Jackly, however, is fucking homeless so I guess he just hangs around?

That's actually mentioned in the bottom left image, which I won't translate because it's a lot of text and SOOO cheesy lmao. But I will say, there's something there about Jackly's dad studying determination which is ??? I have no idea what I meant by that, like, was his dad fucking gaster? JWTWJDDHJD FUCKING FORGOTTEN LORE OF MY OWN OCS MAN . . .

He does also mention loving sweets which is canon he's a sweet tooth.

Enough of Jackly tho let me talk a little about the others, who aren't as fleshed out but hey! They are there.

First there's Zenda, who was a lesbian because I was still a kid questioning my sexuality and I always had to add a lesbian into my oc groups. She's a goth and she's grumpy and a snarker AND I have no fucking idea what happened to her eye.

I mean there's this other drawing which... Feels related. Look at that, who's that purple guy? A genderbend? A brother? Second guy looks extremely similar to Addams too. I don't know why I brought this up, these were one off sketches, but I digress.

Addams is a shy guy. Very shy, very quiet, his sister, someone extremely close to him disappearing definitely didn't help. I think he had a weird gay thing with Jackly but Jackly is literally so aro I don't even know.

Last there's Sabrina!

I have no fucking idea what's going on with Sabrina.

Like I think in my old lore it was almost IMPLIED she did this on purpose? Or maybe not, but I remember her not being upset in the slightlest, which you can very much see. She's all dead and disheveled and stuff and she's still like 😁. She also somehow could reach out to Jackly which, I mean... you could almost read that as a hallucination. 😳

One last fun little thing to point out tho!

These guys are SO old the whole "humans and monsters have different souls" things wasn't extremely common knowledge, hence why you can see em with colored souls.

To be honest, I'm almost tempted to remake them but as Deltarune ocs, sort of as bookends y'know? I think it would be cute ksgdjvdjeg

continuing HAND & EYE - visual diary entries!

to help with creating a narrative for our publications/zines, as a course we were encouraged to hold a visual diary for a few weeks.

the *aim* of the visual diary was to capture everyday scenes or ideas in a pretty relaxed way; there wasn't any emphasis on anything looking neat or even coherent, so ofc i ran with that yfm🤣

these first two entries were two very ordinary sights for me at LCC; one being a super messy collage-ish sketch(?) of the table i was sat at, surrounded by my friends and their stuff. the other sketch was meant to be a first person view of the steps i was sat on (in the tower block) after staying back on campus. i wanted this sketch to be more realistic and focused but erm... yeah.

(the visual diaries themselves were part of a drawing kit we were given by the course for this project - containing an a4 sketchbook, a crayon, a stick of chalk, and a stick of charcoal. my chalk was yellow and my crayon was green!😁)

this next spread was my attempt at drawing a pair of BeReal photos that me and some buddies (hi star toni and julia🤗) took at a restaurant together - i don't know how but one of these a drew really well, and the other i totally messed up! must have been the change in perspective idk...

the pizza is what me and my buddies ate at the resturaunt!! so i thought it would be fitting to draw my next restaurant experience next to them - burgers at TGIF's for my 19th (super low maintenance. i'll try and be more excited for my 20th... not my fault my birthday is in between deadlines.... its hard to be happy during that time🛌🏾)

because it was my birthday, i was on the move w my family so i drew my sketches on post-it notes and stuck them into my visual diary later. my favorite out of these sketches is the one in the bottom left corner, which is a very loose sketch of the inside of my mums car from my perspective.

an actual spread to celebrate mine and my sisters birthdays (10 years and 8 days apart ???

below (1) was a super rough spread of the trains that pass by my back garden - i started focusing on trains a little bit after this!

the page in the middle was inspired by the song Day In Day Out by the band XTC, which i felt kind of resonated with the repetitive nature of getting the tube every day.

THIS SPREAD ON THE RIGHT ... was kind of a stream on consciousness ibsr. it was meant to be a sort of build on my ideas around trains and public transport, hence the priority symbols but its kind of devolved into me thinking about people who sit with their legs spread on public transport... annoying. and then thinking about eye catching trousers with logos on the crotch... not annoying. i love design like that, actually - its kinda... 🤭

along with getting input from friends for what i could add to it (including giving the little guy in bed a boner... cos like. do it for the bit ig💀) i just had a lot of fun with this one.

Hi Internet! Welcome to Episode 2 of High Linguistics with Taylor. I'm on the last of my weed stash today. I blitzed right through my dispensary buy because I ended up needing it a lot for pain and brain wrangling for that campus visit. I am not on ADHD medication, and I am OVER IT! But we're back for today at least. I need to save my money for a few weeks. I can still post about Linguistics, though! It will just be Not High Linguistics with Taylor.

Today we are working on a project for a book I am contributing to. My colleague and friend is the main editor of this book that includes like 16 or something people applying a particular methodology of finding wordhood in languages all over the Americas. I'll let you in on a secret, we linguists have NO idea what a word is. We can tell you things about them in different parts of the grammar (e.g. for sounds, for meaning, for sentence structure) but an overarching definition of the thing we all take for granted as a thing? It... may not be a thing.

Anyway, this book project is a VERY cool project and -in part- based on my dissertation, so it always makes me feel famous and awesome. ANYWHO! I am contributing two chapters. The first is already written and ready to be proofed for printing. I have to do that by Tuesday (June 6th). It shouldn't take too long really. I think I might try to get it out of the way today honestly.

The second chapter is a Commentary Chapter where I summarize and speak on the overall volume's findings (all 16 chapters or whatever). Some people found that there were clear candidates for a word. Others found mixed results. Others are left shrugging. These indigenous languages are often known for intensely complicating "word" and meaning manipulation, so wooooooo boy. They break every definition that has ever been proposed, and that's AWESOME! That means that they are crucial to us figuring stuff out. YEAH SCIENCE!

So far I've skimmed all of the chapters in the volume, and I've sketched some ideas for things to say. I've also got a list of questions to think on from my editor/colleague/friend. So... let's get to it! I'll write later about what I find and figure out. 😁

When I think about it you don’t really sound like my adoptive mother because she’s just repulsed by other people’s existence, and I think that’s why she raised me alone. No family or friends helping out. She also refused to let me close to anyone else as she wanted to have full control over me. But she also shut me off and didn’t want me to know stuff in her life, and then demanded to be involved in mine??

Sorry this turned into a rant. Didn’t mean to. Anyway you are NOTHING like her and I am sure you’re gonna be a great single mother one day.

You’d think I would be more cultured due to living in so many different countries growing up, but all it got me was like. Kids shows that maybe were good but were dubbed in languages I did not speak and if they aired in other countries they might not have the same names, so no one knows what I am talking about.

Anyway the trouble with this is that I sometimes don't know if anything aired globally or if it was a show exclusively shown in that very country and it's so annoying. I’m going around with vague memories of some french dubbed anime except I don’t even know if it was an anime or if I just saw Totally Spies in french, or if it was none of that at all. Maybe it was not even animated in the first place and I’m just gaslighting myself that it was. Maybe it wasn’t even french but actually german.

When I was small I saw a show where a girl got poured water over her by two mean kids, and her immediate response was to bring out her lasso she carried with her, capture one of the kid’s hands and attempt to drag him down from the balcony.

I remember I became so inspired by this I tried to do it myself by asking my childhood rival to stand on the balcony while I tried to catch her hand with a rope.

We had to stop abruptly because her mother thought I was trying to hit her with it like a whip and forced me to go home.

19: Greatest fear as a writer? Honestly it's probably losing anonymity. Like...I like just being able to be me. I don't want to be a writer that's recognized on sight. My pen name, sure, and my writing itself recognized and attached to said pen name. I know there's probably ways around it but I've physically panicked before about the idea that strangers might recognize my face because they saw it on a book once (like intentionally meeting people is one thing, but I like blending into a crowd when no one there is supposed to know me specifically)

28: I don't know about the best, but I can share one of my favorites (from Abracadabra)

The orange of a dying day crossed through a dirty window behind her, obscuring the sunlight coming into the old smithy and turning her wiry body into a mere silhouette.

30: Again, I don't know about my best advice. I guess maybe it's to pay attention to yourself. Learn what works for you as you write and take other helpful hints as secondary. Know thyself, writer? lol But seriously, advice only works if you're someone that it applies to; I'm ADHD, a plantser, and have social anxiety...so writing advice like "make a routine and stick to it" "outline every step of your story" or "find a writing group" have never worked for me and likely never will. Things that HAVE worked, however, were things like "creating specific environmental cues that remind my brain that it is time to write in very specific areas of the house", "remember that it's okay to spill words on the page and clean it up later, so long as you're having fun with it", and "curate/participate in what you consider to be a positive experience with other writers". (I'm not saying everyone should do these things, btw, it just goes back to my "know thyself, writer" thingy above) Annnnd I'm gonna stop here because I can ramble for FAR too long if given the chance 😂

It's "Mrs Madame" (not that it's important but as what you are asking me is part of a school work, it's better being precise 😳). Also, I'm French, English is not my native language, so feel free to fix any grammar/spelling mistake in my answers if you need to, no problem. I know how my "Frenglish" can be traumatizing sometimes 🙃

1- What inspires you to take different Marvel characters and put them into different settings, timelines, and costumes?

This is quite a difficult question even if it seems simple. 😶 I would say that I love taking the characters I love and make them "jump" out of their usual environment ( = from canon) in order to re-imagine their story to my tastes. It's a bit like in the show What if: what if the Avengers where characters from an Heroic Fantasy story ? What if the Avengers had a restaurant and were in charge of the menu ? What if the Avengers pose for Couture brands ? I find the process of reinterpreting canon very interesting.

If you talk more precisely about one my latest series, The Order of the Avengers, I could add that being French played a part somehow: it's in my culture, it's what is surrounding me, so it's normal I'm going to be sensitive to European medieval environments. For instance, I live about 30-40 minutes from the Cluny Museum - National Museum of the Middle Ages (Musée de Cluny - Musée national du Moyen Âge), the place where you can find The Lady and The Unicorn tapestries.

Anyway, reinterpreting characters, blending universes that should never have collided (The Avengers and European Medieval/Heroic Fantasy lore, The Avengers and baseball, etc...) is not only interesting, it's also a lot of fun and it also makes you, as an illustrator, push your limits and go out of your comfort zone. It stimulates your creativity and it gives you the possibility to mix several of your passions in one projects: the Avengers and food, the Avengers and Heroic fantasy, the Avengers and...whatever will inspire you this month. 😁Not to mention that drawing the Iron Man suit, Bucky's arm or Captain America's shield is already complicated but when you work on alternative universes, it makes you study so many different things/items/textures that's it's very rewarding in the end.

2- When you do create art, what materials do you use? Is all your art digital or do you use markers, paint, pencils, etc...?

What I draw is 95% digital art. I'm saying "95%" because sometimes, rarely, I go back to traditional art as you can see it here and here. I use digital art much more because, for me, it's more convenient: I can bring my iPad everywhere, I don't have to bring a sketchbook and my pencil in my bag, I don't have stacks of papers with sketches all over the house like 5-6 years ago. When I need to sketch, I just open Procreate and that's it.

To answer your question more precisely, I use Photoshop CS6 and a Xp-pen 15.6” tablet. I work on a computer running on Windows 10. I also have an iPad Pro (the one on which I use Procreate). When it comes to my old artworks, I also used Painter 12 but I don’t have the app on my new computer anymore and Procreate does the job very well so I really don’t need Painter 12 anymore.

As far as traditional artworks are concerned, I use mainly Copic markers and Prismacolor pencils as you can see it here.

💚 Lonely Souls by @dustbunnyprophet-blog on AO3 - Thorin/Ori, Modern AU, slow burn, reincarnation of sorts, feels, great fic idea. I'm not going to tell you what it's about (no spoilers!), but... give it a try.

2. Favorite fic of your own from this year. It won't be a surprise to some of you, but it's All Is Fair in Love and Trade - AO3 link. Thorin x Ragna (Dwarf OC), lots of negotiations, pining, some angst and a lot of steamy E-rated scenes. 18+!

3. Favorite writer of the year.

Okay, now I'm sure these questions were made to show how pathetic my memory is (think: swiss cheese). I love many fic writers for different reasons and it's impossible to pick just one. It's as if you let me into a library and told me to choose just ONE book. Impossible! You're trying to trick me, fiend! ;) Jokes aside, quite a few of the names that I have already mentioned above fit that category, but there is one I'd like to give a shout out to: @elisethewildwolf . Why? Mostly because I admire how much they have developed throughout the year and how much they achieved. This fic author is 14 years old and has already written so many different stories for various fandoms! When I was 14, I wrote one extremely pathetic and very cringey fic that may or may have focused on pining after Luke Skywalker that I'd rather forget so I'm really happy to see someone like Elise who does it so much better! 💙

5. Favorite headcanon of the year.

My favorite headcanon this year is the cutest canon x canon ship in the world: Boffins. Do yourself a favor and watch The Hobbit focusing on the relationship between Bilbo and Bofur and tell me if it's not the sweetest thing ever. The initial teasing, the protective!Bofur, the awkward Bilbo... Just watch it. I dare you! 😊

6. Favorite event of the year.

Writer's Month 2021 - here's my masterlist. I had tons of fun writing all those little fics and getting an immense amount of feedback. Love you all! 💚
