So, Fire Nation wedding dresses are white. What Ta Min is wearing here and what Ursa wore in the comics. I imagine Mai would sooner slit her throat with her own dagger. LOL. So, red it was. FN has heavy emphasis on the colour red. It's considered an auspicious colour in Chinese culture and I've seen traditional Chinese wedding dresses are predominantly red. (Please free to correct me if I'm wrong!)

Also, Mai has worn red without any hesitation in canon.

Sorry, I didn't do the Roku/Ta Min one that you asked for—for some reason I couldn't.

Pose inspiration for this one are Gomez and Morticia. I know Maiko is like the Addamses only aesthetically—but they were both traumatised kids; I don't see why they can't be like the Addamses when they're both grown up and adults and healed somewhat.

OH MY GOD THE CHINESE FANTASY/HISTORICAL DRAMAS? They're absolutely entranced by it. Bi'an mostly comments on how historically inaccurate they are, and how outrageous the characters are.

Bi'an: Ah no, this is incorrect as well. The main lady should not be in such fine condition after such a dilemma. I'm surprised she had not been given rags to wear and executed by the emperor instead... What an interesting tale.

Wujiu usually makes passing comments on how they're all attractive, and talks as if he was in the drama itself.

Since you adorn such simple clothing, they question you about Chinese culture a lot. Had such articles of clothing been lost to time? What traditions are still practiced? Wait, the average are allowed people cut their hair? How shocking! Isn't that disrespectful to their parents? Er, which ruler is in charge of the north now?

Once you tell them all of the things that connect you to your chinese heritage, they will try and do EVERYTHING you used to do.

New Year's was it? Ah they have been on a westerners calendar for a while, so they have not been up to date. Well, this calls for special red envelopes and beautiful clothing does it not?

Adorns you only in the most beautiful traditional clothing. Hanfu's are flowy and can be quite modest, but Qipao's can be intricate and beautifully simple. Oh but you could also wear a Tangzhuang. Matching with them, what a dream come true! So cute you are... Agh, they just can't pick! Why do you have to be so beautiful?

They are also surprised by how modern traditional clothing has become. Clothing like that would've been years worth of salary for the average man! How lucky you are to be able to wear such things for a price.

Although they doll you up and celebrate with you, you aren't allowed to do anything more than to stay with them and obey the usual rules during all of it.

Damn, you don't even get anything of real material value in the red envelope. It's a love letter and a small gift. Usually jewelry or something of that minimal sort. (The gift is meaningless to you as you receive all kinds of unwanted things from them 24/7)

They are glad you are of the same ethnic background of them! You both may have not been from the same place or time, but you two both have a personal understanding of each other's identity.

Partaking in various conversations about culture, technology, celebrating traditions, partially speaking in similar language... All and more of these things have them head over heels for you.

You're just perfect! How could they ever have been so lucky to encounter someone like you in this afterlife? Although they wish not to have experienced such past hardships, they're glad all of that had amounted to this moment.

Al Haitham ★ Law Major + Day in My Life

As much as I want to assign him to being a literature major, I believe he would choose law over it because he believes in practicality and plans WAY ahead into the future. It's not that he was forced into it, he chose it himself to survive in society and he's somewhat fine with that.

He's passionate about his course to a certain/decent degree but I image it's not even measurable to his interest in books & analyzing literature.

Naturally excels in his class and is commended for majority of his thesis papers and projects.

Adding to the last bullet: Whenever the professor assigns those scenario based requirements, the teacher will always get shocked from reading his works because he finds the most unexpected ways (and uses the most unexpected constitutional statements) to answer the question and somehow they always turn up reasonable.

In terms of content creating, he doesn't upload on a schedule but gets irked when the date between today and his last upload is a little too far so he uploads one when he feels today is gonna be a productive one.

Doesn't talk a lot in videos and just shows himself going about his business (mostly studying in the silence of the library or in the bustling environment of the nearest cafe, he still manages to concentrate either way)

When he reads new books with really good plots, he somehow incorporates them into short videos along with his usual routine and talks about what he thinks of it so far (which prompted a few not so pleasant comments on some of his videos because of his unbiased opinion)

Absolutely despises bullshit and problematic authors and problematic plot points and he makes no effort to hide that.

He likes silence. he finds the silence of his room with only the sound of his mouse and keyboard clicking and clacking as he edits his videos. he finds both the lack of sound and the activity very theraputic.

Posts study with me videos — believes in the power of the body doubling study method and it's a win-win for both him and his followers.

Examples of his videos would be something like what saranghoe or kai notebook would post on their channels (check them out! they're so cool omg)

Kaveh ★ Architecture Major + GRWMs & DIML

Be honest were you really expecting another major for him...

Okay, maybe he would fit as a fashion/art student.

If it's not obvious enough, his blueprints and structure plans are immaculate. Whatever the prompt is, he would ALWAYS find a way to make it fit into both the theme + his distinct architectural style or draw it even better. This man is so full of ideas and genuinely loves his major.

Affinity to classical and dainty architecture styles.

Enjoys doing interior designing as well — he tries to include them in his initial exterior designs if he has the time but majority of the time, he doesn't.

He's a self-care babe. Already has an estsblished skincare, haircare, nailcare, and even makeup routine by the time he starts content creating.

Trust me, if his course didn't entail straining his hands a lot from sketching and nails getting accidentally cracked (to his dismay), he would've painted them a LONG time ago. Instead, he paints his friends' nails for fun.

Is the type to upload anytime without a schedule like he genuinely enjoys making videos and such. Even if those updates last for about 30 seconds or a minute, he uploads them.

His videos are motivation to get your life togjether just because his looks like it.

It's not. He lives off of lattes and convenience store snacks on his off time. (He also films himself even when he doesn't look as put together as he does in his usual videos).

Cyno ★ Criminal Justice Major & Tighnari ★ Med Student + Vlogging & Mukbang

I decided to write these two as a duo because I headcanon them as roommates as well in a modern au.

Cyno despite his kind of intimidating course takes it very well and has always been a fan of solving stuff related to criminology. In serious moments, he's able to give his two cents on social topics.

The fastest in his class to answer and solve scenario-based questions.

He's a fucking pain in the ass (said in a loving tone) to watch action/thriller movies with because on top of the puns and jokes he makes, he ends up spoiling the plot because he's already deduced what's going to happen.

Tighnari

Tighnari is a tired medical student, taking up a pre-med course in either biology or medical devices.

He's the type to have the messy-neat room, papers neatly but at the same messily sprawled on areas in his room but it adds to his personality so it's alright.

The one med student who makes his notes as neat as possible because he believes that it's better to understand during his first year and the one who relies on a distant memory to decode what he wrote in his notebook that looked like it went through 7 failed situationships, 3 divorces, and lost the custody of 3 children in the later phases of his academic career.

Despite that, he remembers the names and uses of medical treatments and supplements at the top of his head.

Tighnari likes to be precise in practice operations during the later years in med school after pre-med.

Cyno introduced the idea of content creating to his roommate.

Tighnari agreed because he's drowning in student debt.

They would mostly do vlogs when they go out with friends or play board games (Tighnari cheats his way to the top whilst Cyno is left to wonder how he, the master at card games and alike, is losing to someone who just learned the mechanics 5 minutes ago).

Their viewers enjoy that bit very much.

When the weekend pulls closer, they like to plan the food they want to eat at home for a video or the restaurant/food fair hopping they'll be doing on a random Friday. It's a routine they do to unwind from the stress of academics.

They also gossip together while filming and eating.

The type of content they would post would be like the videos Stephanie Soo posts.

Scaramouche/Wanderer ★ Performing Arts + Gaming & Covers

He's so K-pop idol coded, did we as a society forget one of his hobbies was dancing in canon

He has a background in contemporary dancing/ballet and hip-hop dancing.

His voice is angelic and his professor really likes his vocal color (probably would have TXT's Soobin / SVT's Minghao's tone).

Scara ensures that dance moves are always clean when he performs and makes sure that there isn't any idle part of his body when he dances. His right hand is up? His left arm has to be placed somewhere at the same time. He hates it when he looks awkward on stage.

A really wide vocal range and can comfortably shift vocal tiers. He only strains his voice when the following note is unbelievably high for his pitch.

Shines the most in slow and r&b type performances, and is extremely flexible physically and in terms of genres.

When he posts content, Scaramouche takes interest in horror games as well as fixed-world (I'm not sure about the word) RPG games (ones like Persona 5, Honkai Stsr Rail). He screams (much more than he likes to admit).

He posts dance covers and song covers as well and gets a lot of praise for it online, urging him to become an idol (little do they know that he's studying to do just that).

Books really nice dance studios for covers and goes all-out for outfits.

Examples of his videos would be what Tuonto/Jake and Antony Chen would post.

yup!! it took a while to remember all my headcanons together in my head

Elisa

she/her, cis female, lesbian

Dating Sarah. They're partners in both a gay way and in a non-gay way. They're still gay though.

She has a quite big and muscular physique, but she's still a femme.

Younger sister of Luca. Which makes it funny how they both turned out homosexual in the opposite ways. They get in a lot of fights, however.

She applies makeup before her tennis matches. Sarah helps her with this.

Doesn't really feel strongly or that much emotion about things. Unlike Matt, who hides his emotions, Elisa doesn't have that much emotions to actually hide. Some describe her as "cold" and "emotionless", but others know that she only has feelings for those who are close to her.

While she somewhat looks like the type to be the popular girl in school, she was actually the opposite. Back then she was the quiet kid who always got picked on by her classmates. It's actually how she learned not to give a shit.

Sarah

she/her, cis female, also a lesbian

While not a butch lesbian, she still dresses somewhat masculine most of the time.

Usually wears alternative fashion. Mostly grunge.

The shortest of all the Wii Sports champions, she's 4'11. Second place is tied between Anna and Lucía, who are both 5'2.

Unlike Elisa, she's quite emotional. Sometimes she takes things a little too seriously. She can still take a joke, just usually she's not in the mood for joking around.

She writes poems to pass the time some times.

Was raised in a very homophobic household, so for most of her childhood she didn't even know she was a lesbian. And when she did, she was closeted up until she moved out.

Met Elisa through tennis, and there they became the most fearsome duo on the court...and then...something even more. Sarah started to realize she had feelings for Elisa during practice.

Cater is nonbinary and uses she/they pronouns but hasn't come out yet because they don't want to bother anybody with using new pronouns/is always wearing like 8 masks anyway (she is so deeply troubled someone PLEASE help her oml)

Jade slowly becomes more and more alternative in his fashion during his years in NRC, including heavier and darker eye makeup and a lot of different piercings! During formal events he takes them out and uses clear studs/magic to hide the holes though. He also probably experiments with his hair style but not drastically as he enjoys matching with Floyd

Floyd wears skirts and dresses!! They're flowy and fun to spin in, plus they aren't constricting!! He loses his shit when he can find a dress/skirt with pockets

Riddle also likes wearing longer dresses and skirts, but does so very rarely due to having a somewhat strict routine with his wardrobe. (If that makes any sense aksgrksjdg)

Almost the whole cast is autistic and/or some form of queer and you literally cannot convince me otherwise

The octotrio all just agreed to use he/him on land to make things easier for people, but all of them have either no gender or a gender so nebulous it cannot be described with mortal tongue. They're cool with any pronouns but when alone together, Floyd will default to she/they for Jade just cuz it feels right. Jade agrees

Azul's blood is blue!! He's self conscious about it because it's something that makes him different and he doesn't have a good track record with being different from others, but if you compliment him he gets a blue flush to his cheeks under that layer of foundation he puts on in the morning

Azul can and will carry Jade and Floyd at the same time, one in each arm. This boy is STRONG and he will use it to physically remove the tweels from causing problems (and maybe to give them affection but shhhhh)

Jack, Jade, and Riddle will get together and talk plants!! They all sit in the gardens and have tea and talk about recent developments with each of their roses and cacti and mushrooms respectively

Azul and Jade are both scares of heights and get very motion sick. Brooms are rough and they're very thankful they haven't had to ride in cars too much since coming to land because that was a rough two hour trip of nonstop nausea. A plane is literally their worst nightmare. Floyd also gets slightly motion sick from cars but it takes him much longer than it does the other two, and heights don't bother him at all. He (lovingly) teases them a lot about this

Rook makes bombs in science club and Trey pretends to hate it but then they sneak off campus to blow something up together

All fae are gender funky by default. Except Sebek. That's a cis man and you can't convince me otherwise, sorry

Floyd and Jade are both mommas boys. They love their dad and respect him greatly, but mama eel just hits different.

Speaking of the Leech parents, momma Leech is the head of The Family while her husband takes the role of second in command in a sense. Grandma works behind the scenes as well, but the twins still aren't exactly sure how. She's a secretive fish.

Riddle will take a rare holiday break not to see his mom, but to hang out with Trey and Che'nya. He isn't the most knowledgeable on how one should normally spend free time with friends, but Trey and Che'nya are more than happy to lead the way. They both live for Riddle's smile and make it their personal mission to have him smile just as much as they have him cheeks puffed out red in the face with how annoyed he is with their teasing

Ortho helps Ruggie shop by mass searching what websites have the best deals for whatever he's looking for, in return Ruggie hangs out with him and tells him stories about his home and his childhood

Rook "The French Freak" hunt has locks of certain people's hair to try and make Potions to transform into them temporarily in science club. Trey is scared

Im in a Himemayo mood and everyone is going to deal with it. Here's some headcanons/ideas!! (Btw I use she/her for Mayoi so if it makes you uncomfy beware, she's my fave transfem)

-HiMERU fell in love with Mayoi first, he originally began to observe her because of the fact Tatsumi was so close to her, but quickly found out how interesting she was. He convinced himself that it was only to find ways to hurt Tatsumi by getting closer to her, but truly he found her charming. He observed small habits of hers, her favorite things, things she didn't like, even patterns in her speech. The nail in the coffin was watching her perform her center song with Alkaloid (believe 4 leaves) and being spellbound with how talented she was.

-Mayoi fell in love with HiMERU after him repeatedly being kind and considerate to her. He had gotten close to her and she even somewhat let down her walls around him. The confirming moment was when she was having a panic attack because of how crowded a place was, and HiMERU took action to bring her to a secluded area. HiMERU comforted her and gave her reassuring words, and once she was in his embrace, Mayoi realized she never wanted HiMERU to let go.

-Everyone knew they were in love with each other before they even said anything. Rinne had no shame teasing HiMERU in front of Mayoi about his crush, while Alkaloid more respectfully poked fun at Mayoi during practice when she'd receive a message or call from HiMERU.

-Tatsumi definitely was/is in love with Mayoi, and it hurt to see her in love with someone else, but he wanted to see her happiness more than anything and was thankful that she had HiMERU, who treated her correctly. He even prays quite frequently for the couples happiness and that neither of them receive any harm. He is their #1 supporter (besides OGmeru and Tatsumi can be canon this way 😈)

-They're both absolutely obsessed with each other. HiMERU sees cute things/clothing that reminds him of his girlfriend and if he thinks she'll like it he buys it immediately. He texts her and calls her whenever possible. Not only that but he picks her up from practice to simply walk her to the dorms just to spend some time with her. Mayoi knows exactly how to get to his dorm from any given point in ES through the passageways she uses, and visits him frequently (even from her own dorm, god forbid she uses the hallway). She memorized what he smells like and what shampoo/body wash he uses, she knows his schedule exactly and even reminds him of things if it's needed.

-They bake together frequently. Sometimes they make so many sweets together that they end up having extras to hand out to their units/circles. Alkakurei appreciates it so much that sometimes they request specific things to be baked, Mayoi happily complies and HiMERU complies because he loves his girlfriend.

-Mayoi loves styling HiMERU's hair and playing with it. She frequently uses her cute hair clips and bows on him and takes photos of him afterwards. She also does his makeup sometimes just to top it all off. HiMERU loves seeing her happy and honestly thinks she does great afterwards. He was never one to wear much makeup but he honestly thinks he looks good afterwards.

-Mayoi loves fashion and styling her outfits, with this she'll choose outfits for HiMERU too. They wear matching outfits sometimes and Mayoi takes lots of photos to post on her private social media accounts.

-Mayoi finds it quite fun to post on her socials, especially her private instagram (that only other ES idols are allowed to follow). She frequently posts photos of her and HIMERU on dates/together to show everyone how much she loves him, but in the safest way possible.

-They both love physical affection. Mayoi is very cuddly and whenever it's just the two of them they're barely separated. Sometimes they just sit on one of their beds cuddling and watching something on one of their phones. Or just cuddling and talking together, ignoring everything else in the world (like they frequently do together).

-HiMERU is always there to support his girlfriend at Alkaloid lives. More often than not, he's back stage comforting her and helping her in her dressing room. After she walks onstage he either stays in the wings to watch her perform and to be there when she walks off, or exits to the audience to watch it himself. Either way he always has tickets to every live he can get that she performs in (and vice versa)

And sure! Some basic descriptions for ye (keeping them simple so I don't overwhelm and so that there's still room for your own imagination and such!):

Finley: Pale blonde hair that falls at around their shoulders, usually kept off of their neck in some kind of ponytail or loose tying to the side, blue eyes, cool-toned skin that should definitely see the sunlight more often, but alas. Tall. Very Tall. Like 6'6". Raf: Pre!Divorce his hair was short, Post!Divorce it's grown out to his jawline-ish. Dark wavy hair (technically brown, but it's that kind of brown that looks black until the light hits it directly), warm mid-toned skin, brown eyes with crow's feet by the edges. Jacob: Messy mouse-brown hair and hazel eyes, rosy-cheeked like he just ran there (he probably did run there) (warm-toned light skin). Short. (Probably tried to see what he could squeeze himself into and fit in. Has probably gotten stuck in a locker as a kid doing this. No one put him there. He put himself there.)

Lucy: Long curly dark hair (think type 3A curls), usually keeps it away from her face in a ponytail, deep brown eyes with the kind of rich color that makes it hard to tell where iris ends and pupil begins, warm toned sepia-brown skin, muscular/athletic figure.

Yolanda: She messes with her hair on the daily sometimes so go wild with the styling, black hair (if left purely natural and not messed with, 3C curls), cool, jewel-toned skin that is often very expertly painted with makeup (the sparklier the better in her humble opinion). (Yolanda is fun because her fashion and makeup aesthetic can be anything because she loves to get creative with it, so there's no such thing as Too Much when it comes to her styles). Also Tall. Very Tall. Like 6'4".

Eileen: Bobbed naturally red/ginger hair that can get very fluffy. Freckles. Freckles. Freckles. Dark green eyes. Rounder/softer figure. Short. Very Short. Like 5' even short.

Informant: He keeps his black hair cut short, his eyes are ????? as they're hidden behind the sunglasses he wears. He wears relatively form-hiding clothes in general, and tends to stick to dark, neutral colors.

Ricky: Picture the kind of man that would wear a grey suit daily and yeah thats him.*

V: All V's have wild, somewhat wavy (like 2A) red hair and dark green eyes. Vera wears her hair long and loose (down to her hip, even), Vincent and Vega both keep it short, but Vega is more experimental with their styling. (Lowkey have sometimes debated giving them an undercut. It feels like something they'd do themself at like 2AM because they thought it might look neat)

Erin: Straight black hair and deep dark eyes that are, technically, brown but look black from pretty much any angle or light. All versions of Erin wear their hair relatively long, in order from longest to shortest: Female Erin, Male Erin, Agender Erin. Callouses on their fingertips from playing guitar. *Jokes aside: Brown hair that he keeps slicked back from his head. Pale blue eyes and sharp features. Always keeps his appearance pristine and crisp.

I'm glad people are liking my captains vs espada post! I put a lot of thought into it and it's not even everything I wanted to write lol let's let my autism dissect Mayuri some more, shall we?

Ashisogi Jizo being a baby I think has more to do with Mayuri's obsession with creating life. I have yet to decide if I think it being a Jizo has any real significance or not. Theres a ton of Buddhist symbols where zanpakuto are concerned and thus far its been hard to parse out what's there because it's relevant to the character and what's there because Kubo thought it was neat. I fully plan on looking more into it at some point though, maybe there will be another essay about that in the future.

Ashisogi Jizo, and more specifically Konjiki Ashisogi Jizo, plays HEAVILY into the aposematism aspect of his character design. Mayuri very much wants to broadcast "don't fuck with me, I'm poisonous and I'll fuck you up" which is..... interesting. Why poisonous instead of venomous, and how do we know? Aposematism occurs in both kinds of animals right? Well, think about it. Konjiki Ashisogi Jizo is a giant caterpillar thing, right? There ARE venomous caterpillars, but they're spiky or hairy. Ashisogi Jizo is not. Mayuri does make HIMSELF look this way, but why hasn't he made Ashisogi Jizo spiky or hairy? We know that he can. Both the sealed form AND his shikai have been made to look somewhat spiky. We know he can alter the appearance of a zanpakuto spirit. So why doesn't he do it?

If you don't want to dig too deep into it, you could just say "he just wants to be the poison/venom bug man cuz he's a weirdo" which..... true..... BUT! There are a couple things that don't quite fit here. Mayuri Kurotsuchi is underweight. He's 5'8 and 119 lbs (174 cm and 54kg). Dudes real thin. Look at how big he makes himself look with this clothing.

Now, this could feed into the aposematic shtick. Lots of animals who use aposematism use displays that make themselves look bigger than they are. Except...... they only do it when they think they're being actively threatened. Who in their right mind would make themselves a threat to Mayuri Fucking Kurotsuchi inside the seireitei? Nobody is threatening his position or his safety. No this is a perceived threat to his more intimate, squishy parts. His emotions.

His attitude feeds into this. Yeah, crazy mad scientist guy, thinks he's the best in the whole wide world. That trope doesn't require the shitty ass attitude though. During the battle with Szayelaporro, when he's looking at Nemu after Szayelaporro uses Gabriel and emerges from her its drawn out. He stares at her for a while, it felt like an eternity the first time I watched it. And he looks...... upset. Sad. It's barely perceptible, you could easily miss it and I thought I was imagining things until we see him staring again later in the fight with a completely blank expression.

Mayuri is softer than he lets on. Softer than he wants ANYONE to see, and he uses his appearance and his venomous attitude to keep people at bay. To keep people from seeing his soft white underbelly. His vulnerability. I'm certain he has a lot of fun with his appearance, it's a cool concept and I can't imagine how much fun it must be playing around with it. But there's a reason nobody but Nemu ever sees him without it. I have a similar experience with makeup and shitty attitude. My appearance in public is a physical representation of the wall I've built. My makeup is a physical mask. My facial expressions are a deterant. My shitty attitude usually takes care of anyone brave enough to still approach me. I love makeup, I love fashion, and I have a lot of fun putting together the version of me other people see.

So, from my perspective, Mayuri's appearance is absolutely a representation of his weirdness and his scientific mind but it's also a representation of his fear. This is why I think Mayuri is poisonous, rather than venomous. All of the offensive posturing is a bluff meant to scare you away. The venom he wants you to believe he has doesn't exist. Poison certainly has built up in his system, like a monarch caterpillar, so if you "eat" him you will feel the effects, but he's nowhere near as dangerous as he'd like you to believe. I think some subconscious part of his brain wants somebody to figure it out and thats why he hasnt modified Konjiki Ashisogi Jizo to look venomous.

Maybe I'm just projecting though who knows🤷‍♀️ what I DO know is that I'd let him do all kinds of weird, nasty things to me. For science of course.

I'm going to give it my best shot. I'm not good at giving advice when it comes to writing in general.

My best advice to you would be to try to make your oc fit in the context of the universe they're in. You can give them some stand-out features that make them unique, but make sure that these characteristics have some kind of purpose, and they're not just there to make your oc look cool. For example:

Minako fits into the context of two different universes by having her ancestors come from Twisted Wonderland, but her powers mostly comply with Potterverse's magic since her bloodline has resided there for so long, thus diluting the traces of twst magic except for the curse, at least she until she winds up in Twisted Wonderland. Her colour-changing eyes have a purpose as her turquoise eyes are a mix of blue and green, the respective colours of paint and thinner from Epic Mickey.

Also give them flaws and little quirks (yes, I know this has been said and done but still). Think of traits they have that really hinder their progress in the story. Try observing yourself or other people for inspiration. Heck, watch something like Arcane or Avatar: The Last Airbender for character personality inspirations. They some varied and multi-faceted cast of characters.

And while you're at it, give them some unexpected contradictions too to add more interest (i.e. Minako is a girly girl who loves fashion and makeup, but she's no delicate English flower. She heavily participates in sports, can easily defend herself in fights, willingly gets her hands dirty, as well handle large, dangerous creatures.)

Additionally, think about their physical appearance too, both their body and the clothes they wear. Make sure it speaks to what they are as characters, their mental state, physical health, or what kind of image they want to present to the world.

Minako is quite small, standing at 150cm/4ft 11in. People tower over her like they're predators. This could be accounted for her genetics. She's actually a mildly buff underneath from all the sports she does, but she isn't very bulky as it takes too much diet planning when she has a vegetarian diet.

Her hair is very important. It's soft and silky, tamed by unfertilized occamy eggshell shampoo from the occamies she takes care of. And most notably, her hair is styled into a pair twin space buns to represent the likes of Mickey and Minnie Mouse's ears, the characters she's twisted from. I also had this idea that her hair is actually naturally wavy like her mom's, but she kept it straight for a good 2-4 years using a potion until she runs evetually loses access to it in Twisted Wonderland. Then she starts symbolically letting her hair become a bit wavier as the story progresses as if she's finally getting in touch with her roots (pun intended)

Minako hides much of her muscle with cute clothes and long sleeves. She covers up her skin even more when she's in a bad mood due to the curse. She owns more skirts and frocks than she owns pants. Her style is pretty much repressing the existence of the curse through the use of pastels and bright colours. Once Minako begins to embrace her darker aspects, she starts wearing more black and somewhat edgier outfits, but she never loses the girlish Lolita fashion silhouettes or flowery aesthetics. She instead marries them together. To lose the basic foundation of her style would be a discredit to her character.

Names: I suggest that you think of this last, but don't of names as an afterthought. Don't just slap it on a character. Again, get down to their personalities and also their ethnicities or nationalities.

I actually made a name change for my ocs Eva and Maria years ago. Their names use to be Minnie and Winnie Castillo, but as time went on their names just wouldn't stick. I chose Eva and Maria after Eve and Mary because, you know, Obey Me and biblical themes. They're also common names found in the Philippines because of its heavy Spanish influences. Eva is not very well-liked by her family because of rebellious nature, and she falls in love with Lucifer (temptation of Eve). Maria is sweet-tempered and well-liked, but unfortunately held to high standards (the Virgin Mary) The twins have an actual Filipino surname and not a Spanish one (they use their mother's surname), which is Dilag. Dilag means maiden or woman. The girls are named after notable women in the bible and the women on their mother's side of the family were remarkable sorceresses of their community.

And finally, you can take a little inspiration from ocs. Just a little. Don't make a carbon copies. Make the characters your own and just have fun. Hope this overly-detailed explanation helps

i really don't know why i'm so insecure and hate myself so much, but one thing i saw people say you should do that can help with that is to list out your accomplishments, and i did that and understood why people have gotten mad at me when i said i'm lame and a loser and not good at anything, because if someone else told me they'd done the things i'd done and then tried to tell me they weren't good at anything, i would also want to smack them.

i've been promoted in each job i've had - i don't think of myself as a leader or skilled at all, but i wouldn't keep ending up in leadership positions if i wasn't.

i got an acting/modeling agent. i've only played lead roles. neither of those things would happen if i wasn't good at acting.

i got my art into a gallery and whenever people see my work they either ask if they can buy it or if they can commission me. neither of which would happen if i didn't have at least some artistic capability.

i have abs. i can run 5 miles nonstop. i can plank for 3 minutes. i can lift more than most of the men at my gym when it comes to calf raises. i have been hired to do workout videos for doctors. none of that would be the case if i wasn't at least somewhat fit.

people constantly compliment my outfits and do double takes and ask for fashion/makeup/hair advice, so i must be at least somewhat decent at putting myself together.

whenever i bake anything, it's often gone before i even get the chance to try it, unless i snag a bit before i let anyone else know i made something. that wouldn't happen if i wasn't at least a half-way decent baker.

people constantly tell me how sweet i am, so i mustn't be a monster, like i feel like i am.

everyone who has read my writing has asked for more, gotten very attached to my characters, and even cried or drew me fanart. that wouldn't happen if i wasn't at least somewhat good at making characters and a story.

in work, they constantly give me the notoriously picky clients because when i write for them, they have no notes. that must mean i'm doing something right, right?

when i try something on in stores, other people go find the exact same thing because they want to see if "it will look as good on me". so i must be at least somewhat attractive.

in both horseback riding and ballet, instructors have told others to watch me to "see how it's done", which wouldn't happen if i wasn't at least somewhat good at those things.

whenever i mention that i feel like i'm not doing a good job at something, people stare at me like i'm crazy, so i must be doing at least a passable job.

whenever i talk to people, they tell me how cool they think i am, which means they're either lying to my face or i'm not as boring as i think, because i think i'm the most boring person alive.

my boss wouldn't tell me "you're such a people person" if i didn't have at least something in the way of social skills.

(i guess his mom was the main money maker in the family? she should be paying child support smh) plus, we weirdly haven't seen a ton of big red and ricky together even though they're supposed to be best friends? so them bonding and making pizza together would be perfect and give ricky something to do outside of project his insecurities onto nini, be a dick to gina, and pretend like his mom doesn't exist (and while we're at it, can he address the weirdness of his dad and miss jenn? please? whether or not they actually start dating, i just want ricky to get a chance to talk to his dad about it because it's weird)

and what about kourtney? well, instead of making her get a job, something that was mentioned a grand total of one (1) time in season one, how about focus in her other interests that were actually somewhat developed in season one and have mostly been ignored in season two? we know from her intro video on instagram that she has a makeup youtube channel, and I'd love to see that explored at all, with her giving makeup tips while talking about intersectional feminism and blm (can the show at least pretend to be relevant to things happening in the real world?) i would love to see her explore activism more. if she needs to get a job, why not something related to that? or to fashion? you know, something she actually cares about? speaking of, whatever happened to that bitchy senior on costume crew? Thanks Spencer!! uwu Sorry this took so long! I love this funky druid and I'm curious myself if any of these answers will change as I develop them further and they grow in the campaign~

1. Why did they choose their class(es)? their subclass(es)? When Zarus was young (for a drow), they were taught about nature and other Druidic teachings, which inspired them to actually get out into nature more and be an actual druid themself. Part of the Circle of Dreams, they spent some time in the Feywild, which influenced their magic further.

3. What is their goal right now? They do aim to get back to the Feywild, but Zarus is lackadaisical and drow live a Long time, so despite being presented with a chance to return, they’re like “there’s time for that later~” They’re curious about their friends and have some “souvenirs” to drop off to their friend Cabal first, anyway.

5. Do they follow a higher power? what are their thoughts on divinity? Zarus isn’t really the religious types. The gods exist, certainly, but they’re more connected to the wild, chaotic power of nature than devoting themself to a specific god.

7. Which party member do they understand the least? Defs Caesin atm. They enjoy being in cahoots with him, but are still figuring out his personality and morals.

9. Do they care about their appearance? how much effort do they put into presentation? Zarus cares a fair bit about their appearance – but you couldn’t tell by looking at them. From the outside they seem like the sort of person that put makeup on a couple days ago and is like “eh it’s still good enough” (purely figurative, they haven’t worn makeup in ages). And yet they typically hold themself like they’re dressed in finery, despite the holes in their cheap clothes.

11. What skills are they proficient in? why? Arcana, deception, history, perception, persuasion, and survival. Each has their place in their backstory, but the specifics of why are a mystery :3c

13. What do they dislike about themself? why? He’s the type to be, like… overly positive and hard to ruffle. He also isn’t exactly the most self-reflective. I think he’d have trouble naming anything he dislikes about himself.

15. Do they trust their party? why or why not? Absolutely! :3 I mean they’ve known each other for like a whole day now! (Zarus trusts way too easily)

17. What do they dream about, when their dreams are their own? That’s a good question :3c

19. What haunts them? what doesn’t? Probably more than he knows, or would admit (even to himself).

21. Do they follow their head, their heart, or their body? Well it’s definitely not their head. I’d say a mix of their heart and gut – but they have terrible intuition and danger-sense.

23. How do they feel about nicknames, titles, or labels that have been given to them? how do they feel about their name? They’d be thrilled to be given any of the above! Nicknames mean fondness, titles mean status, and labels can mean community – all of which Zarus wants. They’re very fond of their name, which is one of the reasons they give it a little too readily.

25. What stories do they like to tell? what stories do they like to hear? Zarus is… probably not the best storyteller, struggling to remember parts, and completely making up others. They’ll talk all day about less linear events though, like various plants, storm clouds, etc. And they’re happy to hear almost any story, as long as the person telling it is enthusiastic and isn’t a stuck-up prick.

27. How do they mourn? If he ever knew how to mourn, I think he’s forgotten how. Death is a fleeting and intangible concept to Zarus, and so mourning would be much the same.

29. Who would they save? who would they be saved by? He’d happily save any of his friends, both new and old, and without regard to any potential cost. And so far he’d be saved by Grimshaw, the only person who’s actually stepped in tried to dissuade his recklessness lol

31. They’re given a blank piece of paper–what do they do with it? (answered this one in a previous post~)

33. What makes them cry? …what does make them cry? Again, Zarus is a very cheery individual. Probably something triggering an old, long-forgotten memory, or one of their friends dying and not coming back. They’d also defs be the type to start crying without even realizing it, still smiling, only noticing when they feel they tears streaming down their face, and reach up to touch their cheek in confusion.

35. Which party member do they worry for? Defs Maco. He’s young and seems naïve, so if there’s anyone Zarus would have the sense to actually worry over, it’s him.

37. What is their favorite thing to hold? Ooooh. Probably an old, worn leather-bound book, whether that’s a journal or a published tome. It would bring them a sense of familiarity and comfort.

39. Are their hands calloused, soft, or something else entirely? Their left hand and forearm are covered with burn scars, while their right is surprisingly soft for a druid, not nearly as calloused as you’d expect from someone who travels the wilderness.

41. What are they attracted to in other people? (also answered this one in the previous post~)

43. Why do they fight? I guess… why not? They aren’t exactly into fighting, but they’re definitely capable, so if the situation calls for it they will fight, especially if their companions are. But they don’t exactly fight to protect themself, and would just as readily try to talk their way out of a situation.

45. How do they hug people? Another interesting one! I think it’s been a long time since anyone actually hugged Zarus. Despite being more of an extrovert, they don’t always spend much time around people, and Zarus can be a little… off-putting. I think he’d melt into a hug, eager to share in the rare warmth and companionship – and having no sense of personal boundaries and how long a hug should last or how closely he should wind the other person in his arms or vice versa.

47. When they meet someone, what is the first thing they notice? How kind they are. Do they treat him with kindness, or disdain? Because the latter isn’t going to win that person any brownie points with Zarus, though they may not say it. Anything else – appearance, social standing, scars, etc – that’s all extra, and typically not of concern.

49. What makes them smile? Lots of things. Zarus is smiling, like, 90% of the time, even if it’s a small smile (and probably somewhat unnerving). One of the rare times they’re not smiling is when they’re pondering something. They’re definitely smiling when they’re mad or offended, there’s just more of an edge to it that an observer might not catch.

51. What is the most beautiful thing in the world, for them? Oh wow. I think… life, continuing on uninterrupted. TW for some gory descriptions for this one. ((A bird with a stick fused into it’s wing that still manages to fly, a deer whose antlers are tangled with the head of another, trapped in an endless battle until it sheds its antlers, flowers and fungi sprouting between the bones of a carcass, the decaying corpse of a whale that brings so much new life to the scavengers who feast on it. There’s beauty in death, and in the unstoppable circle of life – and it’s a privilege to them to hold such a special place in it.)) On a more… traditional note, they definitely do like pretty flowers, and thunderstorms.

53. Which is more frightening to them: day or night? Honestly… I think the bright light of day. There’s comfort and familiarity in the darkness, a sense of home. But in the harsh daylight that hurts their eyes, everything is so stark and clear, and deep down it triggers discomfort, of what they should recall but don’t.

55. Whose hand do they reach out for? Currently? Cabal. They’ve helped him to his feet more than once, and he trusts them. It won’t take long for this to apply to his party, as well, but right now Cabal is instinctually the first one he’d reach for. For the party it will probably be Grimshaw first, since he’s been the most protective of Zarus (even if he doesn’t exactly deem it necessary).

57. What makes them angry? Being talked down to certainly grinds his gears. Zarus is actually decently intelligent, but no matter what, being disrespected and treated like he’s beneath someone sparks his anger, especially considering his backstory.

59. What is a quiet passion of theirs? Making flower crowns, and to a lesser extent, origami. They also very much enjoy sketching various flora and recording information about it, but there’s a sense of work to that as well as passion. Also, fashion. They very much enjoy dressing up, they just rarely have reason to.

61. What kind of flower would they choose to pick from a meadow? Literally every flower they could find. They’d either pick none, leaving them to grow, or one of each variety (including colour variations). They are very passionate about flowers and flora, so if they started they wouldn’t be able to resist picking one of each.

63. What fight has scared them the most? They’ve only been in a few fights in-game so far, and it’s very hard to genuinely scare Zarus. There is one from their past that would, but that’s getting into spoiler territory ;)

65. What is holding them back? Their unwillingness to accept that anything is wrong.

67. What makes them laugh? Much the same as smiling, it isn’t difficult to make Zarus laugh. They’re quite cheery, so if someone tells a bad joke or makes a clever quip, they defs laugh at it (even when doing so would be impolite).

69. How would they describe their party members? (aaand I answered this one in the previous post as well, so that’s it!)

Getting the basics out of the way: Aries, ENFJ 2w3, Hufflepuff, Chaotic Good

I'm 5'7 with quite a big chest but a lack of ass lmao and I've got bleach blonde hair with bangs that falls just in-between shoulder and chest length. Brown eyes with long lashes (honestly still confused why they're so long now bcuz I deadass cut them off like three years ago bcuz I thought they looked too feminine?? Jokes on past me I'm Extremely stereotypicaly feminine now😽) and a dorky smile that I try to hide in pics but that just ends up with me looking like I have resting bitch face💔

I'm extremely extroverted, bubbly and kind to others with a somewhat hidden vulgar sense of humour that rly contrasts the "cute fluffy animals in sunflower fields and neverending love" vibe that I give off irl. I take on a motherly protective role with my friends (we will pretend that wasn't just bcuz trauma made me mature early luv that 4 me) and am always there to offer advice or just cute pictures/facts to take their mind off their worries!

Despite being very extroverted and people-oriented some people that don't know me may think I'm a lil shy because of my anxiety and tendancy to overthink EVERYTHING. Around my friends I try and hide my real feelings behind a super happy mask so that others can feel the joy I give off and I don't feel like a burden🏃🏃 I can also be incredibly judgemental in my head and if I know I'm right about something I will fight to the death till others acknowledge that I'm actually right.

My current biggest hobby is cooking/baking and I always make dinner every Sunday without fail (shout out 2 my roast dinners they are elite if I do say so myself😌) along with some sweet treats. I also enjoy creating cosplays because it combines my love of sewing, makeup and acting because I can completely embody my character and not have to worry about being judged because it's not Me being judged it's the character I'm portraying.

I can honestly vibe to any music but I prefer cheesy pop songs and jazz music along with assorted classical music that I listen to every night to help me sleep (I say that but some of them fr have me trying to stay awake just so I can listen to the whole song rip)

When it comes to people I tend to gravitate towards introverts because I can always make them ramble their heart out and I adore listening it's honestly my hidden talent both romantically and platonically they've said that they feel I'm trustworthy and easy to talk to (SUCH high praise like 60% of my past friends were the bookworms that Never Spoke and one of my besties now talks to me more than most of her family after only knowing eachother 2months)

Ummm fun fact abt myself I used to be obsessed with the idea of being a spy when I was a child so I wrote my entire diary in code and to this very day I can't uncode a single thing I wrote💀

The fact that you can befriend literally anyone? He’s Shooketh, it’s something he’s not able to do (for very good reasons), but he admires it. He totally hid his admiration through “maniacal plans” of having you befriend people from 1-A and become a spy on the inside.
